Ok, I have something to say. This may be controversial to some writers, but whatever.

I don't think Chrollo, Yandere or not, would ever get the troupe to watch after or steal something for his s/o. If his s/o was maybe in like a life or death situation, he would probably, but not much other than that. Chrollo loves his troupe very much. They're his family, friends, his people. The spider is his dream, and the members in it are so, so important to him. Chrollo and Yan! Chrollo alike wouldn't just boss around and abuse his powers as the Phantom Troupe leader. He only really commands them when it's troupe related, like for a mission. Other than that, they can do what they want, and he and the entire troupe knows this.

Now, even if he DID tell/ask them to, would they keep an eye on his s/o, or steal something for them? yes, they would. The troupe loves chrollo just as much as he loves them. But the thing is, from the very formation of the troupe, he was chosen to be the leader because they all knew he would be a good leader. And part of being a good leader is not abusing your power for your own personal life.

I feel like another exception I could see is if his s/o is friends with a troupe member.

I know, I love the idea of Yan! Chrollo constantly keeping tabs and an extra pair of eyes his s/o, but I don't think he'd get them to do it. First off, I think he'd like to keep his romantic life seperate from his work life until he has had his s/o for a little, then he'll introduce them. Secondly, I don't think he would want an extra pair of eyes on his darling. Because that's his territory.

Anyways, moral of the story, regular Chrollo and Yan!Chrollo wouldn't send the troupe to do tasks like spy on his s/o or steal something for them. You guys can think otherwise, but I won't. I will stand and die on this hill.

last ask and sorry for bothering you but, there is this stupid idea : chrollo having the hots for a brown darling. knowing how messed up pakistan/india's dating and marriage system is, he cant even be her boyfriend without her having massive issues lol. its not just that darling doesn't want to date him, its that her parents will kill her if they find out. its straight up kidnapping lol. i cant imagine him trying to act as a religious, pious and well meaning suitor that's too cringe.

dont get me started on "the only man you may reveal yourself to is your husband" asshole gonna use it to his advatage.

There is no way he is walking through the door and telling your parents that his second name is Lucilfer. But that's not even the problem. The problem is how in the name of all things holy did you come to know a man. A male specimen out of all the unholy things in this land and let him into your house to meet your parents.

If the excessive interrogating wasn't enough, the taunts that you're outside and being friends with men like it's no big deal are enough to warrant a month full of therapy to undo the damage to your psyche.

The arranged marriage culture would honestly baffle him. Chrollo doesn't understand why people would weigh such superficial and shallow traits so heavily when searching for a partner. It certainly doesn't sit right with him either when he's rejected by your parents for not being as cultural as them. He has money and he cares for you. Isn't that what's supposed to matter?

Chrollo doesn't see the point in keeping up such exhaustive appearances of being religious, pious and adhering to cultural values so he takes the easy route: making you disappear. Despite his initial dislike of what he called restrictive values, he has no problems with using them against you. It's true that you're only supposed to reveal yourself without hesitation to your husband, and he's the only man- er, human - left in your life. Isn't that a wonderful coincidence?

#Chrollo hears of medical colleges being filled with girls and most of them getting married off never to practice medicine made him lose hi #his* sense of logic for a while #what do you mean they work so hard to get into medical college just to get a decent marriage proposal?#that explains why the healthcare system is in shambles #and why a third of the population consists of engineers #that aside he'd probably get rejected by the parents for being too 'not brown'#i have a lot to say about yans with brown darlings because it has so much potential with the way the marriage market is #but Chrollo might immediately see the situation and think *im not doing that*#how is he supposed to show your parents that he's the best suitor when the first question is what his father does for a living #he can't just say *oh i grew up in a lawless land without any caretaker and i dont officially exist in legal records but i love you daugh #daughter very much so cant i get some slack?*#immediate rejection lmao #mother probably doesnt like how he seems emotionless #the generational trauma of emotionless men resurfaces and its an immediate no from her too #ask #zain-is-done2004 #chrollo brainrot

I had so much fun reading burgeon. Chrollo is such an ass I love it. I loved how reader was not buying his shit in the beginning. Chrollo also made his scheme to get reader for himself way too complicated. She already said yes she'd date you, why do you need to turn things up to 100? (Also I couldn't help but imagine chrollo flipping through recipes when he was deciding what nen ability to traumatize reader with🤣)

Reader's reaction to him approaching with zero warning was warranted. If a random handsome stranger sits at your table without even asking to, it'd be pretty awkward or just plain uncomfortable 😬

Chrollo was trying his level best to convince reader that he just wants to make friends whereas reader is thinking, "I'm pretty sure this guy's messing around. Oh well, time to shake him off!" But he just changes answers till reader gives in lol. We know better than to trust handsome men 😤

Also!! Making him as bastardly as possible was an absolute pleasure 😌. There's just something spiritually, emotionally and mentally fulfilling about writing such characters and I just *clenches fist*. My personal favourite was the "yeah but do you stab?" scene. It's probably the absurdity of the situation and timing of the joke

Chrollo's decision to go over the top with his 'courting' was a little funny to me as well. Reader literally says that there's no opposition to the idea of a relationship from her side and Chrollo still goes, "Hm. I'll kidnap her. It's more fun." Honestly, I'm guessing he chose that course of action simply because he wanted to play around (I wrote the fic, why am I guessing?)

Lastly!!! The image of Chrollo flipping through Bandit's Secret like a weekend magazine was exactly what I was trying to convey! He just looks over the abilities and goes, "This is too over the top. This one's mid. Eh, this one's too bloody. I can't have her faint, so skip," and so on. He's looking for an ability that'll be perfect for scaring reader but also not leave a mess since there's always the chance of passing out before it's over so he was taking his time 😌

#excuse me for the long post i have many thoughts about this fic #i initially planned to make Chrollo talk about the whole soulmate situation and his feelings with relation to Arthur Schopenhauer #but thought it might get too philosophical? im not too into philosophy either so i kind of thought it might be too much #thus the scarce mentions of Arthur #i feel like he spites philosophers and the like woth occurrences of his daily life lol #it just feels very 'him'#i also like to think he saw reader sleeping on the first night and had to fight his extremely impure thoughts of slipping into bed with her #it's just funny to imagine a nihilistic crime lord have inner turmoil over deciding to sleep with someone or not #all just because he wanted to cuddle #😔😔#anon #ask #zuri rambles #chrollo brainrot

Thinking about Shal's pics of the troupe and how they range from high quality photos of the arm-wrestling tournaments & certain troupe members staying still for the pics or at least close enough to it (Chrollo, Feitan, Kortopi, Paku, Machi, Shizuku, Bonolenov, Hisoka, Kalluto) to blurry pics taken unfortunately exactly when the subject decided to move or right as Shal started to run for his life from the spider in question when they noticed he was taking pics of them in secret (Phinks, Nobunaga, Franklin, Uvo)... I imagine most if not all of the pics are very lively & really show the soul of the troupe
