Hello! we've been doing a couple of lessons on classification recently, and i told my teacher about your genus of mini frogs. she was delighted and they have now been added to her powerpoint :)

I like to think of them as everyone's genus Mini. We all need a bit of a laugh sometimes. Things are always much too serious, especially in jargon-rich fields like taxonomy. It's helpful to lighten the mood. And perhaps if we all think of them as ours, perhaps we will be better at ensuring their future.

one of my fav things about the untamed is the seemingly unlimited number of disciples like. there’s the final battle against the wens. dozens of disciples die, literally only the main characters survive. there’s talk of total loss and destruction, everyone is gone. cut to next scene: every sect is shown to have nearly as many disciples as they were depicted as starting with. rinse and repeat after every battle.

Ok. Good news and Bad news.

Good news is that, thanks to a friend I barely managed to get my most important files and back them up. Meaning I thankfully didn't lose any progress on everything I've made.

Bad news is that my pc is still dead. It works for a few minutes and then it freezes, which is better than it not starting up outright like before but not really. So, I'm sending it for repairs anyway as it's most likely a hardware issue rather than a software one.

I will try and post some of the drawings and music I've made prior to all this, so hopefully the fact that my pc is not working won't be as noticeable.

Writing is not out of the question either, though whether I can get anything good while using only my phone, I'm not sure.

(this is the pretentious way of saying that I think the only way to get an AU where Randall doesn’t fall and no one else does instead is to just. Cancel the expedition)

Everything about this conversation so far has me imagining a (dumb) scenario where Hershel falls and Claire flees to college where she meets Randall for the first time.

Randall asks one day, "What made you come to Gressenheller, anyways?"

Claire says, "I feel responsible for the death of someone I cared about a lot, and I needed time and space to look for answers."

Randall's like, "What a coincidence! I am also consumed by grief and guilt over a loved one's death. I will not elaborate on this ever. You and I should become time-traveling supervillains and bring our loved ones back. And make out about it in the process."

And so that's what they do. Maybe not the supervillains part, but they're certainly a mad scientist power couple. They stare lovingly into each other's eyes while the lab burns down around them.
