Lenny, you need to go and get an antiobotic. You clearly still have some sort of infection and yeah if the fever doesn't go too high it'll eventually go away but it's gonna drag, brother. Do you guys have any medical coverage/resources at all? If you're on Medicare (or whatever state/federal thing), the prescription should be extremely cheap if not free.
uuuugh yeah I've been thinking i need to go to the doctor or something but I don't want tooooooooo -__- the issue is that healthcare in my area is VERY bad especially when it comes to spontaneous treatment and emergency rooms are often a massive waste of time. I also don't want to get anyone else sick, even if I wear a mask (which I always do) I still worry about the risk of spreading infection. wait times at the emergency room + urgent care can be multiple hours at a time and the idea of doing that while I have a fever only to not get any actual help exhausts me terribly. I don't know where else I would go really cause my GP is booked until next month, I have a telehealth thing through my job but I'm not sure if they can prescribe anything? and it might cost money which i don't have right now. I am worried cause my temperature is up to 99.5 again and I've literally been sick for 6 days at this point with not much change in my condition so yeah I dont know. SIIIIIIIIGH

garages lyrics out of context
i need to email god, i have some issues
Leach lives in a parking lot / of an abandoned corner store / drinks expired Red Bull / from the floor
We stood accused / Our crimes could not be excused: / We'd no remorse / For our part in the Bonecourse
It’s a good day to piss on the gods
the voice inside his head sounds suspiciously like Matt Damon
With a trusty cupcake on his back, Lenny rolled up his lack of sleeves
he throws the ball in the air / so that he can catch it and look cool / but he misses catching it on the way down / so he just drops it on the floor / and has to bend down and pick it up again / like nobody just saw him drop it
The opposition is firm / But then I hear from the crowd: / "Oh, Worm?"
Oliver Notarobot is a good human man
Got mocked outside of Philly / By a phone singing “Rap God”
And I told him: as a bug, it’s not illegal for you. / And he said, “What’s illegal!” and I started to explain, / And he said, “What’s illegal with you!” That bug got me again!
Who knew a lich / Could rock a vape and throw a pitch?
They say that I’m a monster / I’m just a pitcher with some cool elastic pants / Will they ever let me be myself?
there was that party with the lovers / cold june san francisco summer / when he and i danced for the first time / he told me i was our worst player / i told him he was just a hater / he told me dating me should be a federal crime
these are all songs about blaseball

The lawsuit filed by Jacksonville resident Earl Johnson Jr. claimed that using taxpayer money to fund Confederate monuments violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and sought a declaratory judgment against DeSantis and mayor Lenny Curry, reported First Coast News.
"These monuments are symbols of white supremacy ideology," Johnson said. "These monuments were put up during Jim Crow and reconstruction times. This isn't about history."
DeSantis and Curry filed a motion to dismiss the complaint in October, but it was struck down a day later. The judge granted an amended motion to dismiss last month because Johnson had not shown "he has sustained or is in immediate danger of sustaining a direct injury associated with Confederate tributes on public land."

Hanukkah will be different this year. Many of us are far from family and celebrating with our small pods, if not by ourselves. So what better way to treat yourself and embrace this unique year than with a new tradition — a mouth-watering, carb-tastic latke sandwich. Crunchy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside, latkes make the perfect bun for any juicy deli meat (plus, they’re easy to assemble at home).
Here are five places across the U.S. where you can order a latke sandwich:
1. 2nd Avenue Deli
New York, New York
New York is the birthplace of the Jewish delicatessen and at the iconic kosher 2nd Avenue Deli you can order all your favorites, including a latke sandwich. To no surprise, this overstuffed sandwich is called The Instant Heart Attack.™ It can be ordered with corned beef, pastrami, turkey, or salami for $31.95.
In 2012, the Instant Heart Attack caught national attention as the star of a federal lawsuit. The Heart Attack Grill in Nevada, a hospital-themed restaurant specializing in highly caloric burgers, claimed the delicatessen was infringing on its trademarks. The federal judge ruled in favor of the 2nd Avenue Deli, noting that there’s “no likelihood of confusion” between a latke and a cheeseburger. As the Daily News reported, “Rye-t on! 2nd Ave Deli wins sandwich suit.”
2. Kenny & Ziggy’s
Houston, Texas
At Kenny & Ziggy’s in Houston, feast on the Luck Be A Latke — brisket sandwiched between two potato pancakes with applesauce or sour cream for $21.95. This melt-in-your-mouth sandwich can be ordered for curbside pick-up or delivery in the Houston area. Lucky for you, Kenny & Ziggy’s schleps nationwide; order two dozen latkes and your choice of deli meats and assemble a latke sandwich at home!
3. Schmaltzy’s Delicatessen
Seattle, Washington
Seattle is home to the most innovative latke sandwich. At Schmaltzy’s Delicatessen, Chef Johnny invented the Latke PressSandwich, a latke sandwich pressed like a panini. Schmaltzy’s, which began as a food truck, offers four uniquely delicious pressed latke sandwiches served in French fry bags, so they’re easy to hold and even easier to eat your way through. For vegetarians or brie-fanatics like myself, order the Classic Combo — Honeycrisp apple, brie, caramelized onion, spinach, sherry vinegar, and thyme for $12. For a more traditional latke sandwich, order The OG with house-made pastrami, The Schmear with house-cured lox, or the less traditional, cheekily named Jewbano, like a pork cubano. Order for pick-up by phone or on their website.
4. Manny’s Cafeteria & Delicatessen
Chicago, Illinois
At Manny’s Cafeteria & Delicatessen, the fourth-generation deli in Chicago, any sandwich can be a latke sandwich. Egg salad, chopped liver, hard salami, you name it. During the eight nights of Hanukkah you can order a latke sandwich for the price of the deli sandwich plus $3. While only advertised during Hanukkah, the latke sandwich is a secret menu item that can be ordered year-round. Available for local Chicago pick-up and delivery.
5. Corky & Lenny’s
Woodmere, Ohio
Thirty minutes east of Cleveland, Ohio is Corky & Lenny’s, the classic, unpretentious Jewish deli. Corky & Lenny’s has been a landmark Cleveland destination for 64 years. One of their house favorites is Beef & Latkes and it’s exactly what it sounds like — corned beef, pastrami, or brisket on potato pancakes with applesauce or sour cream. This sandwich is available for dine-in or pick-up for $15.95.

Against All Odds
Part 499
McCoy
McCoy had spent half the morning thinking about what he wanted to say when he saw Leah. All the hassle she had given him about being sick and now she was. He couldn’t wait for lunch to be over to go see her.
It was nice to be back in the dining room with everyone. Well, everyone except Leah and Robbie.
Father and Sarek had entered and sat with an odd look to their faces. McCoy could see the curiosity on Scotty’s face as well.
“Is everything alright?” Eleanor asked.
David’s expression changed. A protective light came into his eyes.
“Captain Paris sent a report over. Sural and the other Romulans continue to say nothing.”
“Not surprising,” McCoy muttered.
“There has been some unusual activity near the neutral zone.”
McCoy saw Amanda turn her head to look at Sarek. Her eyes widened slightly. What else had Sarek told her through their bond?
“What kind of activity?” Francine asked.
McCoy could feel Scotty tensing next to him. His own heart was beating quicker he had to admit.
“Warp trails have been observed where there should be none,” David said.
“Has anything got through?” Scotty’s voice came out hoarsely.
“No,” David said firmly. “None of the trails have come into Federation space. And the ships patrolling have been given the equation for tracking cloaked ships.”
McCoy let out a breath he hadn’t realized he was holding.
“However, I have been reconsidering sending you boys back to school. I had said we would reevaluate after two weeks, but in light of this, I would feel safer keeping you here a bit longer.”
McCoy didn’t know if he was happy or annoyed about that. It would mean much more time that he and Scotty could spend together closely, but he did want to return to some semblance of their normal lives.
And he missed their friends. Had they risked their lives to save him and Scotty only for the pair to be locked away on Georgiares indefinitely?
He glanced at Scotty and could see the relief mixed with regret in his eyes as well.
McCoy knocked on Leah’s door with his free hand. The fingers of his other hand were joined with Scotty’s.
“Who is it?” he heard Leah call.
“Your dear beloved brother,” McCoy grinned at Scotty.
“Go away!”
“No,” he called back and reached to open the door. It didn’t open.
“Come on!” he said loudly. “Let us in.”
“Len…”
McCoy chuckled as he heard footsteps inside the room coming towards the door. The lock clicked and the footsteps retreated. He reached to open the door again.
Leah was sitting up in bed, wrapped in her robe, and Robbie was sitting down again near her. Both of their faces showed tired eyes and flushed cheeks.
“Yeah, yeah, out with it,” Leah said hoarsely, waving a hand in McCoy’s direction.
McCoy was still stretching his face into a smirk as Scotty interrupted him.
“How are ye feeling?” he asked.
“Miserable,” Robbie replied. “Mum sent soup up for lunch and Dr. Boyce sent medicine. Is this how you felt?” Robbie asked the question to McCoy.
“No, cause I wasn’t—”
“It was,” Scotty interjected and looked at McCoy with a smile. “Tired and feverish. Do ye have a cough yet?”
“A cough too?” Leah perked up, and lifted an eyebrow at her brother.
“Not yet,” Robbie answered Scotty. “Hopefully not.”
“Aye.”
“Any news?” Robbie asked. He must have seen something on Scotty’s face.
Scotty nodded. “We’re all staying here longer.”
“Why? What happened?” Leah turned her attention from making faces at McCoy. She sat up straighter.
“Activity in the neutral zone,” McCoy said.
Robbie’s eyes widened and Leah sucked in a breath.
“Nothing’s come through,” McCoy said quickly. “Father just wants to be cautious.”
“Of course,” Leah agreed.
“We should let ye rest,” Scotty said. He gave McCoy’s hand a squeeze.
“Yeah, we should,” McCoy agreed. “I don’t want to catch a cold anyways.” His mouth twitched trying to hold back another smirk.
Leah groaned at him. “If you’d stop being a baby about being sick…”
“Get better Lee,” McCoy grinned.
“Whatever Lenny Boy.”
The Scott brothers shrugged at each other about their partners.
“Now what?” McCoy asked when they were in the hall again.
“Homework?” Scotty shrugged.
“I guess,” McCoy said as they began to walk. “I could think of some better things though,” he leaned in and whispered.
Part 500
Scotty
They didn’t stay focused on their homework for too long. Doing it in bed certainly hadn’t been the greatest idea, after all.
Scotty closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths before he turned his head to look at Leonard. His fiancé looked just as exhausted as him. But there was a bright smile on his face. A smile that the Scotsman adored very much.
“Happy now?” Scotty asked, chuckling softly. Leonard nodded.
“Very happy,” he replied and turned his head to look at Scotty.
Scotty could see how much the prince had longed for his body. And, to be honest, he too had wished for them to end up like that again.
The Scotsman ran a hand through Leonard’s hair after rolling onto his side to get a better view at him.
“Ye’re so bonnie,” he whispered and Leonard laughed gently.
“Says the most beautiful boy in the universe.”
Scotty’s smile widened and he leaned forward to kiss his love. Before Leonard could see the blush on his face, Scotty placed his head on the boy’s chest.
Memories crossed his mind of the times at school where these moments had been stolen ones. The times when every touch had been exciting and almost forbidden. It wasn’t like Scotty didn’t like that he could spend all the time with Leonard, but… he sure missed the old times.
“I… want to go back to school,” he eventually got out, blinking away tears.
He felt Leonard’s hand now running through his hair.
“Yeah… me too.”
They stayed silent for a while, probably both thinking of their friends and teachers and regular life.
It had often been annoying, but now that it was gone, Scotty wanted nothing more than to sit through a dull lesson of Federation history at school.
He wanted to watch the swim team practice. He wanted to sneak away into the library with Leonard. He wanted to relax at the lounge with their friends.
“Ye think… we can go back once they catch Khan?”
Leonard had placed his chin on Scotty’s head so he could feel the nod.
“Sure thing, leannan. We will get back. They will catch that bastard and then our lives will be normal again.”
Scotty knew that Leonard’s words should calm him, but he had his doubts.
“But… what about the Romulans?”
He moved his head so he could look at Leonard again.
“What about them?”
“They… want ye. Don’t ye think that they will try to kidnap ye again?”
Leonard’s eyes widened and he blinked. Maybe he hadn’t even thought about that yet. Or maybe he had, but tried to ignore it for the better.
“I… We are safe. No Romulan will ever come close to us again. Thanks to Keenser’s equation they can’t just cross the neutral zone anymore. I… have faith in his math.”
“Aye…”
Scotty trusted Keenser’s abilities too. But… the Romulans would improve their ships and cloaking devices now that they knew about one shuttle being tracked already. What if…
Scotty told himself to stop mentally. He couldn’t think about what ifs.
They had to stay in the moment. He had to believe that everything would be okay.
“We’ll be fine, Scotty.”
After dinner they had a talk with Granddad. He said that Peggy was okay and that the house was slowly being rebuilt. Nothing suspicious had happened so far.
Still, it was good to know that guards were around at all times. Leonard had reassured Scotty often enough that he knew the guards and that he trusted them, so the Scotsman had eventually decided to trust them too.
Granddad was safe with them.
After the call, Leonard yawned heavily and Scotty smiled softly. Even though the prince was healthy again, he still needed some rest.
Scotty’s eyes fell onto the pills and his heart started to race. He had wanted to suggest it to Leonard the whole day, but now that the time had come… he wasn’t too sure.
“Uhm… I thought about yer… nightmare last night. And…”
Why did this feel so strange? He was taking the pills too, after all!
“Dr. Boyce gave us the pills… so… would ye like to take one?”
There! It was out. Now Scotty just had to wait for an answer.

Hours after the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that left 19 children and two teachers dead, it began.
“I’m sorry but I have to say it,” one poster wrote on a far-right message board. “We have to have another false flag shooting, killing small children.”
“Those directing false flags know the emotional response from the Buffalo shooting is wearing down for the sheep,” another person posted online. “So they did another one in Uvalde Texas to reinforce the response. Don’t be fooled. False Flag season is here.”
This script could have come from 10 years ago—and in fact, some of the same people spreading lies about Uvalde have been doing it for a decade. I have spent the past four years tracking the rise and spread of misinformation about a tragedy heartbreakingly similar to Uvalde: the Sandy Hook massacre. The haunting echoes between the two shootings don’t stop at the young victims.
The story of Lenny Pozner shows how these misinformation campaigns proceed. Two years after his son, Noah, 6, was murdered at Sandy Hook, Pozner started to receive chilling messages online. “I want to hear the ‘slaughter,’ and I won’t be satisfied until the caskets are opened,” one message read. “Prove to the world you’ve lost your son,” another demanded.
The missives in this case arrived from a woman with the online handle “gr8mom.” They were not the first, and wouldn’t be the last. After Sandy Hook, Infowars broadcaster Alex Jones had spread the same bogus theory that the shooting was a staged pretext for federal gun control, with the families of the victims in on the plot. The families fought back. In 2018, 10 of them, including Pozner’s, sued Jones for defamation. They won late last year, and soon, juries will decide how much Jones must pay them in damages.
The people who spread these conspiracies online were harder to categorize. For Pozner, who led the families’ battle against the conspiracy theorists, there was a difference between commercial conspiracists like Jones and relative unknowns like “gr8mom.” “Jones was not interested in getting to any sort of destination or truth,” he told me in an interview. But perhaps some others struggled “to carry the pain of women and children being executed.” Maybe their questions sprang from a genuine inability to understand how this could have happened. Pozner hoped that by walking these people through the reality of Noah’s life and the hell of his death, he could make them believe. Or at least make them stop.
In my new book, I caught up with “gr8mom,” who harassed the families of victims for years. Had her life gone as planned, she would have been a first grade teacher. A suburban Tulsa grandmother, she instead became a vicious conspiracy theorist, tormenting the parents of children murdered in their Sandy Hook classrooms. When we spoke, she told me she was proud of what she’d done—and is still doing.
Today, one-fifth of Americans believe all major mass shootings are staged, according to Joe Uscinski an associate professor of political science at the University of Miami who studies political conspiracy theories. These false theories will no doubt torment the families of the victims in Texas, just as they did in Sandy Hook. How could anyone, a parent no less, not only believe these delusions but make it a point to confront the families with them? Pozner wanted to know. This is the story of one of those people.

Wedemarker Kinder-Krimi

Note
Controversial/problematic aside, which celebs are naturally cool and which ones are corny?
I know the implication would be the corny people are bad ones, but I’m basing this mostly on how cringe they come off and their actions, and not on their beliefs or problematic stuff they’ve done. A lot of those that are naturally cool are just as problematic they just have “cool” vibes which is the question posed here. Anyway
Cool: Rihanna, Zoey Deutsch, Prince, Kendrick, Ryan Gosling, Kirsten Dunst, Steph Curry, Zoe Kravitz, Lewis Hamilton, Kristen Stewart, Alexa Chung, Shaq, Angelina Jolie, Postie, Conan, Lenny Kravitz, Dakota Johnson, G-Dragon, CL, Jennie, Keke Palmer, Jamie Lee Curtis, Alexa Demie, Roger Federer, the Olsen twins, Olivia Cooke
Corny: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, Matty Healy, Olivia Wilde, Jimmy Fallon, Ryan Reynolds post deadpool, Khloe Kardashian, Cole Sprouse, Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas, Lebron is in between but he becomes incredibly corny when cornered, Jameela Jamil, Chrissy Tiegan, Kevin Hart, Drake, MGK, Elon Musk, Prince Harry, James Corden, Lin-Manuel Miranda

Reveal your watch & Rewatch drama list
Tagged by @bengiyo the uncle to my fandom auntie.
RECENTLY FINISHED
KinnPorsche The Series La Forte Thoroughly enjoyable and did exactly what it said on the tin: 'dark mafia romance'. If I don't get a season 2 I might have to write my own.
Star Trek: Discovery season 4 Going back to the roots of Discovery as a science ship, and watching these nerds just excel, Trek crossing the galactic barrier as the new frontier, everything about Michael's friendship with the Federation President...simply outstanding, the best of Trek.
Star Trek: Picard season 2 The Q are easily my least favourite Trek concept, but combining them with the total overhaul of the Borg, a reexamination of Soong, and the deep dive into Picard's psyche worked gangbusters for me. And Q doing it all as a dying act of love for Picard resonated emotionally.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 1 Old school-style Trek at its very best. Hemmer going over that cliff to save them all from the Gorn made me WEEP. I'm ready for season 2 because I NEED an Ortegas episode.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season 4 Miriam, Miriam, Miriam. Watching her self-sabotage because she's actually terrified of prime time was AMAZING. She's comfortable being the biggest fish in a series of small ponds but despite saying she wants the big leagues she blows every opportunity at them. Lenny calling her out was a long time coming. And Susie soaring as Miriam stagnates? Gold. Can't wait to see what happens next.
To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories I love watching what happens after the happily ever after because let's be real: most of these couples would struggle. We need more reminders in media that actually, love does NOT conquer all. Ji Woo and Seo Joon always had a reckoning coming, because Seo Joon thought if he could love Ji Woo hard enough that Ji Woo would feel it. In the end, Ji Woo had to work through his traumas on his own and come back to Seo Joon as a whole person, and hope that Seo Joon could forgive his trespasses. A beautiful meditation on how much of a struggle love can actually be.
Slow Horses Simply outstanding. Gary Oldman and Kristin Scott-Thomas put on a clinic, and the plot is delightful.
Quaranthings 2 The Besh/Che/Kulas poly situation is super fun, and I could listen to Rocky and Judah call each other akin all day, every day.
The Umbrella Academy season 3 One thing for sure is that this show always keeps it fresh. I could have done with about 99% less Allison angst this season though.
Silent Witness season 25 The return of Sam Ryan! Jack and Nikki finally get it together! An overarching mystery! Another solid outing from one of the best shows on television anywhere in the world.
Russian Doll season 2 I was so excited but after watching I found myself wondering whether a season 2 was necessary.
CURRENTLY WATCHING
Yumi's Cells 2 Just plain fun. Yu Mi and Ba Bi's relationship has a completely different flavour from her relationship with Wung, and the cells remain as entertaining as ever.
Money Heist The trashy energy combined with the twisty plot leave me intrigued and ready for more.
REWATCHING
Love By Chance I mean...when am I not rewatching Love By Chance? AePete only though.
I Promised You the Moon Yes yes, you all hate it, I simply don't agree.
Gaya Sa Pelikula (Like In The Movies) I think I have to accept that we'll never get a season 2, so I'm mourning what could have been.
LOOKING FORWARD TO
Pa-Thirsty I never got into Pearl Next Door but I love Adrianna So so as soon as I can find this I'm watching it.
Gameboys 2 INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION WHEN IDEAFIRST?!
War of Y Looks like some good trash, sign me up.
The Midnight Trilogy (Dirty Laundry, Midnight Motel, Moonlight Chicken) Looks like they're all in pre-production and I could not be more excited.
P.S. I Hate You I love some good soapy bitches and a whole lotta mess.
Never Let Me Go Still trepidatious about whether Pond and Phuwin can sell it but the concept works for me.
The Eclipse Cautiously optimistic, because I think this might finally be Khaotung's breakout role, and I love First beyond measure after Not Me.
A slew of assorted kdramas I am extremely behind on my kdrama watching, I've pretty much missed everything good this year so far, first due to Bad Buddy brainrot and then KinnPorsche having me by the throat.
Derry Girls season 3 2 dumb blondes, a space cadet and the human equivalent of a heat-seeking missile growing up Catholic in Derry in the 90s. Their parents: equally ridiculous. Their school principal? An over-it nun. Seriously, you should watch this.
Young Royals 2 I'm ready to return to Hillerska.
Summerdaze Are we EVER getting this?
Tagging @elnotwoods, @suzukibeanes, @liyazaki and anybody else who wants to play.
