How old is our shape-shifting friend the creature?
Good question!
It'll be touched on in the story itself, but just so people know going in: His actual age is 20. However, he doesn't know that, and doesn't really understand aging anyway. (More on that later) He is also stunted in many, many ways, so he will not always act his age.
He can also make himself look younger than he technically is. The reason why he does so, will be further explained when it comes up, but in short: the whumpee will sometimes look and/or act like a minor. I'll make sure to CW it, when that happens.

Your tags on my two posts you've reblogged...I mean, I can't thank you enough for it. I saw a MAJOR upstead shipper literally try and act as though Hailey and Jay were the victims this entire season and before I knew it, I was blocking damn near every upstead blog I could lmao. It makes no sense how blind people have become to them! Don't get me wrong, I ADORED Upstead and was beyond excited but after taking a much needed break and then diving back in...I don't know what I was thinking!
I'm so over the weird upstead victimhood thing. It's nuts! I love the show. I do. But I find that faction of the fandom too much, and I get sick of everything revolving around those two.
Upstead is not my personal cup of tea, but most of the time I'm generally indifferent to the ships. To ME, it feels like they just dumped everything they wanted to do with Jay and Erin (which I also couldn't give two damns about... because people act like the only reason you'd dislike upstead is because of Erin. Nah), but yeah, it just feels like they rehashed the Erin and Jay stuff. Which is just boring and unimaginative.
But whatever. They're not my cup of tea. I find them overhyped and I don't see the chemistry everyone is always going on about. I don't particularly think they bring out the best in each other. I dislike that Hailey completely changed from the one who reined others in including Jay to being the wild child, mini Voight, and then this woman just bogged down by trauma, and then action Barbie, and then this emotionally fragile person that Jay had to protect from ... her own actions, and now back to moral grandstanding. It gives me whiplash and I feel like her characterization changes with the plot. And the fact that this show airs reruns all the time makes it more obvious how much she bounces around as a character. But to me, pairing her up with Jay or Adam or sticking her with Voight hasn't done her any favors.
And I hate that Jay gets all self righteous but also never directs that toward Hailey which just makes him constantly seem 🐱 whipped. And he loses himself in his relationships so he stops being his own character.
It bugs me that they're just always alienating themselves from anyone but Voight because God forbid they aren't attached at the hip. Fine. Whatever. But then you can't even go anywhere to discuss the show or the other characters because everything is just saturated with this pairing.
Chicago PD at its core isn't a shipper show like Riverdale or something which means the majority of viewers actually tune in because it's a police procedural and for all the characters, not just those two and their relationship.
But that's all anyone talks about. And the promotion and stuff with this show feeds into which feels like nonstop fan/shipper pandering which really was bad this season... ya know, the Season of Ships where half the unit played supporting roles in relationship drama.
And that's where my indifference becomes irritation. It's unbearable.
In no way shape or form were HAILEY and JAY the victims this season. KIM was a victim of Roy. How that whole narrative shifted from her to Hailey having breakdowns over a clean shoot of a bad white dude like she didn't orchestrate the murder of a black ci and smirked about it the previous season or didn't bat an eye at Marcus, and innocent black man, being set up to cover THEIR asses is beyond me.
Hailey made her choices. Jay also made his. Voight didn't drag either of them kicking and screaming into anything, so I cannot with them being victims stuff.
Kim was a victim. Makayla was a victim. I'd even argue Anna was a victim. Upstead? No.
The whole Upstead thing exhausts me on a good day. To each their own, that's fine. But my gosh sometimes I think we're all watching a different show.
