When I was in uni we had to do a presentation on an artist chosen from a provided list and I chose Mark Ryden and the lecturer who I presented it to laughed and asked mockingly why I would make the presentation pink because it’s extremely unprofessional and I was like you mean this guy?

#we were told the aesthetics didn’t really matter and to make them cohesive with the theme #and it was LITERALLY just a muted millennial pink background w white boxes and dark pink text #everyone else did black and white but we legit had people with dyslexia on our course so I didn’t wanna do that #AND other peoples were just as heavily decorated and coloured it was literally just the colour pink she bitched about #and I was like why? what’s the issue? it’s a major part of his work and it’s just a damn colour what’s your problem??? #in front of the whole class I was so mad and embarrassed but I was too annoyed to drop it #we were also in pairs and I ended up doing the whole thing for a lot of reasons and then my partner couldn’t even pronounce the words #so it was made extremely clear I’d done everything and for some reason this makes teachers assume YOURE the asshole #I’ve had it so many times where I’ve been that guy doing the whole thing and then those in charge are like #why are you being such a control freak and nasty to your group #like idk maybe because I’m the only one even remotely trying and I don’t want to fail SHARON

And worse thing is I fully realize how privileged I am still and on top of feeling like shit at work I feel like shit for feeling like shit since many many *many* people are stuck in much worse situations than I am

#been watching videos of a guy diy some things into smart devices via custom circuit board and wiring different relays #not only that he makes them wifi and even cloud accessible via connecting a different motherboards #shit is legit so cool #he made an automated power outlet that can turn itself off or on the grid via his phone or wifi #literally then he made door sensors using some magnets and some casings with his 3d printer to house them #which would be used as an indicator of when the door is closed or open #also by using raspberry pi he was also able to make it work via cloud remotely and through WiFi #the coding process was straight forward since the main board was compatible with the software he uses so he just copied paste the code #it was so simple it got me thinking my dumb ass can actually do this lol #i long to be computer engineer and make my own custom built technology 🤣

Thinking about my feelings for Remus as a character.

Like. I find him absolutely adorable - but not entirely in a patronizing/sanitizing way.

But in the “I’m well aware that I find a lot a things most people don’t, cute“ sort of way. It’s hard to properly articulate it.

See, kid me, insisting on bring home garter snakes fairly often. Or chasing skinks around, in rattler territory. Or finding many other kindsa “Non-Charismatic Megafauna“ endearing/fascinating/valuable.

Or things more sordid/adult and still dig down into the endearingly flawed humanity in such affairs. Or look at the horrifying and weird and laugh, not necessarily in any party’s expense, but to face messy truths like mortality and nature with acceptance.

I think it’s just thanks to curiosity being one of my biggest drivers...

i’m so sorry you got covid!!! if symptoms get worse, i suggest trying alka-seltzer liquid gel max strength cold and flu formula. legit is the only reason i could breathe/sleep/eat when i had covid. be warned the nighttime dose knocks you out hard within an hour but the daytime doesn’t cause any drowsiness luckily. i love you!!! i hope you get better soon!!!
