the second eunhyuk walked through the door, you heard a long sigh from the walkway entrance. you knew eunyoo was gone doing something, whatever it is she did whenever she was out of the apartment, so thankfully you two had the place to yourself.
"jagiya," eunhyuk called out once he slid his shoes off his feet.
"in the bedroom!" you responded, putting down the book you were reading as you sat on the bed.
eunhyuk walked through the bedroom door and a small smile immediately lit up on his face upon seeing you on the bed. he took his flannel off and tossed it on the ground next to the bed before he crawled into the bed next to you, his arms quickly wrapping around you and putting his face in the crook of your neck.
a short chuckle came from your lips at his actions, one of your hands playing with his hair. "rough day at work?"
"mhm," he hummed, nodding his head slightly.
a comfortable silence filled the room and just when you thought eunhyuk was going to get up, he started to leave little kisses on your neck. they started out light and soft, but soon enough he was biting down on your skin, with your own teeth between your bottom lip as you struggled out words.
"what're you doing?"
eunhyuk pulled away from your neck, looking down at you and seeing the blush on your face made him smile a bit. "i thought maybe we could spend some time together, since eunyoo is gone and we have the place to ourselves," he answered, his hands holding your hips.
"are you sure? what if she comes back?" you questioned worriedly.
"you know when she's gone it's for hours, we'll be fine," eunhyuk replied, his hands starting to trail down to the hem of your shorts. "i know i've been distant lately, and i want to make it up to you."
his words were true, he had been being distant with things seemingly getting worse at his job, but you would never admit you were getting needy because of it. however, it was obvious by how your hips jerked upwards when hyuk's fingers grabbed your shorts and slowly started to pull them down.
eunhyuk noticed, obviously. he was coming home either so late or so early that he would immediately fall asleep as soon as he hit the bed, leaving you to attempt to make yourself feel good, but it wasn't the same. which is why he was so grateful when his boss said he could leave a little early, so he could spend time with you.
he pulled down both your shorts and underwear, then spreading your legs apart with his hands, seeing how wet you were. "all this for me? i've hardly done anything yet," he said almost teasingly.
you were unable to come up with a response, too embarrassed by how aroused you were just by him finally giving you the attention you needed, only to be interrupted by a moan leaving your lips when he started to circle your clit with his thumb.
his other fingers were dragging up and down your slit, collecting your slick on his digits, his eyes peering at you before he inserted a finger suddenly, making you let out a louder moan than the last. your hips bucked upward again, and eunhyuk used his free hand to hold you down, slowly starting to push his finger in and out of you.
"hyuk," you whined, your hands gripping the bedding beneath you.
"mm?" he hummed, looking at you with a teasing smile. he loved watching you unravel before him, he adored the way your face contorted in pleasure every time he made a movement, he could stay here for hours if he could. "you look so pretty like this," he said, pressing a kiss to your inner thigh before slipping in another finger and picking up his pace.
you writhed around under him, moans leaving your lips freely and without any care of others possibly hearing through the thin walls of the complex. his hand held you down from your hips bucking upwards, and your back arched when he curled his fingers inside of you. "fuck- don't stop, p-please- oh my god."
eunhyuk watched you with a small smirk on his face, his fingers thrusting in and out of you at a quick pace, and just when you were about to cum, he pulled his hand away. you let out a loud whine and opened your eyes to look at him, seeing him undo his belt and take off his jeans and boxers in one swift motion and immediately hovering over you again.
he moved some of your hair from your face, kissing your forehead before slowly slipping inside of you. he let out a low groan as he sheathed himself all the way inside, putting his face in your neck again, his warm breath hitting your skin. your arms wrapped around his neck as he started to thrust into you, little whimpers coming from you right into his ear.
"fuck," he sighed into your skin, his hands grabbing your waist in a tight grip. "it's like you were made to take my cock, baby." he began to pick up his pace, leaving crescent moon shapes in your skin from how tight he was holding you.
"hyuk," you moaned loudly, eyes squeezing shut and clawing at his back. you couldn't help the noises coming from you, it just felt too good for you to even think about being quiet.
"so good for me, just for me," eunhyuk mumbled, leaving kisses and bites on your neck. "i love you so much, baby. you're so beautiful taking my cock so well."
you writhed around under him, whining at his words feeling the knot in your stomach building up higher and higher towards release. "do-don't stop, please- fuck! hyuk please please." your nails scratched at his back.
he used his free hand to reach down and start rubbing your clit in quick circles, smiling into your neck at your moans getting louder. "so good, baby. you're doing so good, fuck."
one particular thrust of his hips had your eyes rolling back, your back arching up against him as you tried to speak. "c-close, fuck- hyuk please please."
"cum for me, baby," he told you before kissing you deeply.
moaning into his mouth, your legs shook and convulsed as you came around his cock, your nails digging into his skin. he pulled out of you and immediately laid down beside you.
"you okay?" he asked softly.
you nodded your head as a response, rolling onto your side and cuddling next to him while leaning your head on his chest. he grabbed the blanket and pulled it over the two of you, glancing down at you and kissing your head.
"i love you," he said quietly.
"i love you too," you replied in the same voice.

how long will I slide? || Eun Hyuk x Reader
Tumblr media
word count: 1.4k
warnings & tags: angst, big spoilers for s1 of sweet home, that should be it?
A/N: Written for day one of @neohumanmonster's fandom event, Turning a New Leaf. Prompt: The Other Side. He's the one I had an idea for for that theme, but I actually haven't watched s1 of Sweet Home in a couple of years, so I hope this feels in character for Eun Hyuk, and that it's not too incoherent for the setting of s1!
Tumblr media
Eun Hyuk has eyes everywhere in the Green House apartment building — as much as he possibly can, at least. He’s used to studying efficiently,to taking as much information from a page as possible in a single glance. He’d never thought his abilities would be used in that way. That he’d end up sitting in front of footage coming from surveillance cameras, making sure not to let anything go unnoticed, because that would be the best way for him to be helpful to the people around him.
Oh, he doesn’t just do that. He’s taken up most of the tasks that require organization, wouldn’t trust others with it, if he’s being honest, but this is where he spends the bulk of his days. In front of a screen. Staring. His books forgotten and gathering dust in a corner of the room.
He doesn’t get distracted. If his eyes linger when you appear in front of ones of the cameras, it’s just because you’ve been vocal about thinking that other solutions were needed, and he doesn’t want you to endanger everyone by trying to put one of them in action. That’s all there is to it. He doesn’t have time for anything else anyway.
So when one of his screens flickers, he notices immediately. His mind starts running through the possibilities as he leans toward it, all of them bad. Any kind of system failure would be disastrous. Loss of electricity would be close to a death sentence. A camera being destroyed could mean that the monsters are getting better at finding them, smarter, which would mean they’re evolving.
And the last possibility, that he’s having a hallucination because his monsterization symptoms are progressing…
Well, he coldly evaluates, it would depend. Maybe it wouldn’t be that bad, if the residents could evacuate before he loses control completely.
When the screen lights back on, and he’s met with his own eerily smiling face and eyes gone completely black, he’s almost relieved.
Good, he thinks. I’ll be able to help as long as the cameras work.
“Will you?” his other self asks as it spreads to the other screens like a virus, voice coming out like a screech through the speakers. “Are you sure you’re helping them?”
He supposes it shouldn’t surprise him that the monster knows how to get under his skin, and yet he sits straighter at the question.
“Of course I am. Without me—”
“Maybe if they’d run when they wanted to, most of them would be safe right now,” the monster says, admitting out loud a fear that’s been eating at Eun Hyuk since the very start of this forced confinement. “Maybe you’re killing them by making them stay here. And really…” It laughs, high-pitched and maniacal. “Using that kid when you’d never have the guts to step out there by yourself?”
“I would,” Eun Hyuk protests, even if he’s aware that there is no actual argument happening here. “But I’m not the same kind of infected person as him. And I’m doing my part here. It’s not like…”
“Like you’re sending a kid out to be tortured only so he can be ostracized here? Sure looks like it.”
“It’s not,” Eun Hyuk repeats, weaker this time.
The monster opens its mouth to speak once more, when there is a soft knock on the door.
“Eun Hyuk?”
It’s you, and the monster’s face lights up as Eun Hyuk’s heart rate picks up.
Out of fear, surely. He doesn’t want you to know about his issues.
“Well how about that?” The monster practically purrs. “The thing you won’t let yourself have. Won’t even admit how badly you want—”
Eun Hyuk’s not really thinking when he picks up one of his notebooks to throw it at the screen. It bounces without any effect, of course, and the monsters starts laughing once more, until that’s all Eun Hyuk can hear, while it gets louder and louder and louder and—
The door opens behind him.
“You weren’t answering—”
“Don’t—”
You freeze in the entrance.
“Don’t what?”
He knows before turning around. Of course he does. Rational, human him is deeply aware that there is no way for you to see the things that his mind is creating.
“…come in before I tell you it’s okay,” he finishes with an even voice. “If you see something you shouldn’t, I don’t want to have to deal with everyone else’s panic.”
You click your tongue at him, and he immediately hates himself for saying it. He doesn’t even mean it. You clearly have everyone’s best interests at heart, even if you believe in a very different way of handling people than he does.
“Well, I just noticed you hadn’t eaten your share yesterday,” you say, and it stings that your tone is biting, particularly when he knows how soft-spoken you can be with others. “I was bringing you something to eat.”
“You should let someone else—”
“You can’t let yourself go weak,” you reply, pushing the food in his hands and folding your arms over your chest. “You know how much people rely on you here. We may not see eye to eye, but the last thing they need is to start worrying about you and thinking you’re not able to lead them anymore.” There’s a second of silence before you add, almost as if you can’t help yourself “Also, you know I already think these rations are too small. You really shouldn’t go a day without eating at least that.”
 He glances down at what you brought. True, it’s meager, and yet he feels a smile forming as he looks at it, at the acknowledgement that you were worried about him, even if you didn’t phrase it that way.
“Thank you,” he says.
And just like that, you soften. There’s part of him that finds it ridiculous, how you’ve given him a million second chances, how he’s let you down every time, and how you keep affording them to him still. The other one is so, so infinitely thankful for your kindness.
“Are you okay?” you ask.
He sighs.
“As okay as I can be,” he answers, pushing his glasses higher on the bridge of his nose. “I don’t think anyone is doing good.”
You nod gravely, then brush your hands over your jeans.
“Alright. Well then, I’ll leave you to—”
His hand shoots out to grab your wrist before he can hold it back and before you get too far away. You turn around to look at him, surprised and a little confused.
“Can you— would you mind eating with me?”
He could justify himself. Tell you he doesn’t like eating alone, even if he’s been doing it since his parents died, tell you he needs another set of eyes on the screen while he’s eating, tell you he needs to talk to you about one of the residents. He doesn’t, though. You read him a little too well, could probably tell that he’s lying. And he hopes that, with that big heart of yours, you’ll just…
“Sure,” you answer.
You grab a chair, pull it so you can sit facing him. As you sit down, your knees brush against his. The gesture feels surprisingly comfortable, in a way that he hopes doesn’t bring too much color to his cheeks.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“It gets lonely in here,” he answers, which technically isn’t a lie.
There’s a wrinkle on your forehead as you study him, one that forms whenever you’re concerned.
He’s more used to seeing the one between your eyebrows directed at him, the one that’s there when you’re annoyed.
“You can always ask me to keep you company,” you say, and his heart skips a beat. He’s sure you didn’t mean it like that, tries to pretend that it’s the monster that stirs his mind in that direction, but he knows, deep down, that that’s not the truth. That he’s actually desperate to know that someone like you could see value in someone like him.
But the truth is, if anything, you see value in everyone but him.
It doesn’t matter that you’re looking at him with these eyes, that you’re sitting with him, that you brought him food. You’re kind. You’d do that for just anyone.
“I’ll keep that in mind,” he tells you flatly once he’s gotten himself back under control. “Thank you for doing that.” Then, after a moment, “Anything I should know about what’s going on out there?”
You start answering, soft voice describing all sorts of meaningless details that you’ve noticed and apparently care about. Eun Hyuk keeps his back to the cameras. He still sees, from the corner of his eye, the monster taunting him. But as long as you’re here, so real, so soft, so human, he knows he can resist its pull.
Too bad he doesn’t know how long you’ll stick around for him.

eunhyuk x Reader
Synopsis: After Eunhyuk death you couldn’t heal until you killed yourself but survived but your memories are blank about Eunhyuk making Ji-soo explain it to you.
Tumblr media
After green house building collapsed and leaving eunhyuk behind. Everyone was worried for your wellbeing especially Eun-yo. Out of the two You took it the worse.
Nobody could blame you though, after all before all this it was just them. Yoo-ri said to just give you time and that you would get better with time and the most important thing is to give you support right now.
But I think we all know deep inside with every passing day. You were getting worse.
And I think that day made it clear.
After the incident- You just, you gave up in a way.
We thought you were at your breaking point so we watched you closely and made sure one of us was with you at all times.
You weren’t talking…. But then again watching you two be so happy just for one of you to die would made everyone understand. But maybe, Forever was word meant for memories and not people
Memories Memories Memories Memories
“Please do this for me” Eunhyuk pleaded as tears streamed down your face. “N-No you’re asking a lot from me right now, j-just stay with me” You begged holding on to him tightly.
Eunhyuk hear broke see you like this. Seeing you cry.
“My love it’s no secret that we are running out of time” Eunhyuk choked out before gently giving her one more kiss. They both taste the saltiness of their tears in the kiss. None of them wanted to let one another go and You were gonna risk everything to stay with him.
“I love you” Eunhyuk said as he pulled away from her. “I love you too” You sobbed as the group dragged you away as you desperately try to go back to him but Eun-yo dragged you trying to hide her own sadness.
As you look back he wasn’t in sight no more. He was gone…. And he wasn’t coming back at least that’s what you believed.
You jumped off a building days later Well at least tried too everything was froggy now it would be hard to comprehend why you did it.
But now back in the present where you don’t remember him. Ji-Soo only told you about the end and not the beginning.
You always believe there is a beginning you just have to search deeper to find it. So you decor to go missing to figure out everything on your own.
She met interesting people on the way back to green home apartments, and she surprisingly met nice monsters. She met this baby monster so she decided to take it as her own.
The baby had a hole in its chest so soldiers must of found it. But you liked it’s company nonetheless.
When she found green home apartments. She walked through it with the little monster as they hold hand. It was oddly quiet until she heard rumbling under the cement of the fallen building.
Her scent awoken him. Her peach sunrise soup and perfume still lingers on her skin making him awaken.
With no clothes and eyes pitch black he walked towards you like he was in a trance. You slowly backed up, flustered at the naked man in front of you but scared of what the monster might do.
The little monster hid behind her as they were. cornered so she closed her eyes waiting for a hit or whatever to come.
But all the monster did was tuck a piece of hair behind her ear before kissing her cheek.
“I miss you”

Weekend Getaway | Eunhyuk (SuJu) Imagine
Pairing: Lee Hyukjae x Reader
Requested by @bokkibunny: Hi Fifi, I’d love to request a fluffy SuJu Eunhyuk imagine, please! He booked a Hanok AirB&B for a weekend to film one of his winter vlogs, and since he’s always busy, he thought he could kill two birds with one stone and have a romantic weekend with his non celebrity girlfriend too. I was inspired by this video of his https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ie0KTPraakM (or this too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0thDUFNQ6Ng ) and I thought the one you’ll write about could have a fireplace so they could share romantic moments cozied up under a blanket or something. Super fluffy (you can also make it a little suggestive/smutty, if you want). Thank you!!
Genre: fluff, suggestive
Word Count: 748 words
A/n: currently having some pretty cold weather at the time of writing this and the only thing keeping me going is the throw blankets for a 24hr readathon with my friends tomorrow (at time of writing) with promised tea and coffee, along with the description of the fireplace and cuddles
Tunes: taylor swift playlist i found ( back in my swifty era )
Tumblr media
“I’m not going in front of the camera,” you said as you got into the car, seeing the camera bags in the back seat as you walked to the front passenger seat. “And I’m serious this time Hyukjae, I’m not going on camera during this trip, regardless of the bribes you make.”
Hyukjae opened the door for you with a sly smile, “Oops.”
You looked at him in confusion before spotting the blinking red light of the camera filming where you would be seated for the duration of your drive to the AirBnB your boyfriend had rented for your weekend getaway ( and his holiday vlog ). “Hyukjae!”
“I’ll have it cut out!” he promised as he closed the door, rushing to the drivers side to avoid getting more snow on him. “It’ll be fun, I promise!”
~~~
The drive to the Hanok went by quickly as the two of you chatted away the entire drive, filling each other in on the work happenings during the week. Parking the car, Hyukjae was quick to unlock the doors of the rental before returning to the car and opening your door, moving to begin unloading your bags. You went inside taking the luggage he was leaving in the doorway and placing it further into the home. The interior of the traditional structure was quite modern. You noted the small fireplace in the sitting room opposite the glass doors decorated with elaborate woodwork. You would make sure to use that at some point during your stay. The kitchen also had a more contemporary-modern setup and was rather spacious, a butcher block island that doubled as a bar area, granting you the perfect opportunity to watch Hyukjae cook for both you and his viewers.
“There’s a fireplace?” Hyukjae asked as he finally entered with the camera bag. “We’re starting that up tonight and sitting next to it.”
You chuckled, “We really do share the same brian cell.”
~~~
Warm emanated from the now lit fireplace, heating up the few rooms closest to the sitting room - the kitchen being one of them. With a blanket draped over your shoulders you sat on a stool at the bar beside a camera - keeping an eye on the focus settings upon your boyfriend’s request, whilst he talked through his cooking process.
You interjected quite a bit questioning some of his actions, planting seeds of doubt when there was none all for the sake of seeing the ‘deer-in-headlights’ look he pulled off so well. You never said you weren’t willing to tease him off camera while it was still rolling.
“You’re doing good though,” you comforted after a few jabs. “Whatever you have on the stove is very aromatic.”
Hyukjae smiled at your words, sending a quick kiss yourway, your cheeks warming despite not being visible in any of the camera angles. You really hoped dinner would be ready soon or at least before you died of second hand embarrassment as he attempted to cut something with the knife cover still on the knife.
~~~
With dinner resting happily in your stomach, you sat on the floor in between Hyukjae’s legs right in front of the fireplace, watching the flames dance as they licked at the logs of the wood fueling their heat and light. The blanket you had been using was now wrapped around him as he wrapped it over you. Your fingers toyed with the edges of his sweater as you leaned back into his chest, head resting on his shoulder. Turning your head, you pressed a kiss onto his sharp jawline.
“Next time we have a getaway, leave the cameras behind will you” you joked, looking up at him.
Hyukjae looked down at you, leaning down and pecking your lips. “I will.”
You let out a deep breath, letting your body rest against his warm one fully. Figuring it was safe to close your eyes for a few seconds, you did so, only for them to spring open as Hyukjae hands wandered down to your clothed crotch, pressing against the mound through the fabric of your jeans.
“Really? Here?” you asked, hand going to his wrist.
“It’s warm enough isn’t it?”
It’ll get warmer too, was left as an unspoken point.
One look into his lust filled eyes and you were in, quickly turning around and connecting your lips with his, both of your hands beginning to wander, removing article after article of clothing. There simply wasn’t a better way to end the first night of your weekend getaway.
Lee Hyuk Jae (Super Junior) Kinky* Reading
Hello and welcome!
I’m Kleo and I’m here to present some k-pop related tarot readings to you.
Disclaimer:
I would like to state that all these readings have a purely entertainment nature and their purpose is to bring some fun into my and hopefully yours lives. I have never ever met any of the idols / actors / celebrities in my readings, I don’t know them personally. Tarot reading isn’t an exact science and I can never guarantee any of it. Most of it is my intuition mixed with fantasy. Don’t take these readings seriously and don’t base any important decisions on tarot readings only, use your common sense.
If you wish to request a tarot reading, please read the pinned post on my profile first to see the instructions on how to request. I only do readings for idols / actors / celebrities of 18 years of age or older. Requests for readings including younger people will be automatically dismissed. If you feel uncomfortable with these tarot readings, do not engage in reading my posts. Thank you for understanding.
Reading Info:
Full Name: Lee Hyuk Jae
Stage Name: Eunhyuk
Group: Super Junior
Masterpost: Super Junior
Tumblr media
Lee Hyuk Jae
Eunhyuk (Super Junior)
Deck: E. A. Poe
Spread: Kinky*
Position - I The Magician
Eunhyuk is dominant in a relationship. He likes to know what’s going on and have things under his control. He doesn’t like surprises and he’s not super loyal as he’s constantly curious about possibilities. On the other hand, he’s not a jealous type either. He might prefer a more loose type of relationship where he’s allowed to occasionally stray away and play in different playgrounds while his partner is allowed to do the same.
Libido - Queen of Swords
Eunhyuk is very direct and honest when it comes to his desire. He’s very plain speaking and he’s in his primes. Eunhyuk is an abundant lover, he’s capable of satisfying multiple lovers in one night. He’s confident in his seduction skills and can be quite a predator when it comes to it. However he’s not very emotional. To him, the physical act of love is merely to satisfy his carnal needs.
Turn On - 4 of Cups
Eunhyuk is likely to feel attracted to someone who’s his complete opposite - someone highly emotional, immature, confused even. This type of person is an easy prey for Eunhyuk but the relationship is unlikely to last as there’s nothing they would have in common. A perfect ideal type for a player who’s not ready for commitment.
Kink - 7 of Wands
Eunhyuk is likely to enjoy overcoming obstacles. Having to go the extra mile in order to persuade his lover, stealing someone from their partner, being nearly caught in the best moment. Eunhyuk is a wild one and he likes to play and take risks.
Dirtiest Secret* - X The Wheel of Fortune
Eunhyuk is probably wondering when he will run out of his good luck. He likes to think nothing can go wrong for him, that he can play and mess around as long as he pleases but deep down he knows his good fortune can end. Maybe he even wishes for a person to come and force him to settle down, someone with their will even more powerful than Eunhyuk’s.
lost in translation ft. eunhyuk x gn!reader 4.4k words
genre: angst comfort, ‘enemies’ to possibly lovers warnings: deaths, injuries, blood, mentions of kissing and also suicide (?), smoking, cursing, canon divergence idr half of s1, guns, slightly suggestive at the end author’s note: this was requested! i kinda strayed off the original request sorry TT it got a bit angstier than it should’ve but oh well! have this i missed him
summary: The development of your feelings for Lee Eunhyuk in the middle of an apocalypse, and struggles of leadership.
Green Home Apartment is not a place you would ever allow to crumble.
From the very first hours of the outbreak, people saw a leading figure in you. A seemingly natural instinct to guide people and keep them as safe as possible. Someone strict, just firm enough to keep panicking residents in line and gentle enough to reassure other equally terrified people.
The perfect leader, really. It wasn’t exactly the role you would have wanted had you imagined yourself in this situation prior, but you felt you didn’t really have a say in the matter. You were just a college student, and within a few hours, at least ten people in your apartment building had voiced out their agreement on you being the perfect captain for a broken and sinking ship.
So when this guy with a blue flannel gave off the same impression as you apparently did— enough to convince people he would be a good leader, too— you were mildly relieved. Part of you felt like it was a good thing someone else would take the reins for this whole thing. It was too much pressure for you. But another part didn’t feel at ease. After all, you didn’t know this guy. People trusted him for a reason— He did seem mature, headstrong, and determined. Good with instructions and quick-witted. But you didn’t know if that would be enough to let the people here, or you, at least, survive this.
If you were to survive this in a group, you would need to have some kind of authority when it came to making decisions. Surviving alone was fine, but being stuck with so many people meant certain chaos, attempts at democracy leading to stupid decisions, and your life being stacked between at least twenty others with barely a word to say when they would all eventually be led to sure death. You’d damn near experienced it already, and that was more than enough for you.
So you didn’t step away when Lee Eunhyuk, as you eventually learned his name to be, took the place of a leader. And thankfully, it seemed the residents hadn’t expected you to. So weeks ago, you and Eunhyuk were appointed as leaders of Green Home during the monster apocalypse.
“Going there would be suicide.”
“So you suggest we stay here and wait to die? Do you genuinely think the people in the next room over will be fine with that?”
Leaders who get along perfectly.
“I suggest you use your head a little. There’s resources in much more accessible spaces than this. The store at the side, for example?”
“I’m not sending anyone there.” Eunhyuk states blankly, in his usual emotionless fashion. You narrow your eyes and bite back a scoff.
“Right, I almost forgot it’s about sending out people with you. You’re a coward, you know that?” you say, and he glances at you from the side.
“And you’re just as selfish.” he says, turning to face you properly, “Let’s not pretend you’re any better than I am because you act courageous. You’re terrified.”
“And you’re mistaken. Why don’t you go out there and get to the storage room yourself?”
Eunhyuk’s tongue presses into his cheek and his fingers tightens into a fist. He presses his hand to the table and tilts his head a little, nodding slightly. “We both know without a leading figure this group is done for.” he says, tone much calmer than you’d anticipated. The restraint he has over his anger only serves as fuel to your own. You bite the flesh of your lip.
“Am I not a leading figure?”
“You are, but are you a good one?” he asks. There. There it is, the hint of anger. That cutting edge to his tone. It’s nearly imperceptible but it makes you want to bring out all of it.
“Do you believe I’m not?”
You step closer. He looks down to your feet then back up to meet your gaze. “You’re dodging the question.”
“It’s a weird question to ask.”
You’re close enough to punch him, now, if need be. You won’t. But it’s a good thing to note.
“I don’t think it is, all things considered.”
“Uh,” a meek voice comes from behind you. You turn towards the door to see a man from the group stand with a bottle in hand, moving around uncomfortably, “The others are arguing about rations… You should come.”
You take this as the perfect opportunity to clear your head and not to let your irritation get the better of you. You hum absentmindedly and walk past him to get to the store where you expect everyone to be, leaving the man and a scowling Eunhyuk behind.
“Is- Is something wr—”
“Everything’s fine.”
Everything is wrong.
It’s been less than a day since your argument with Eunhyuk when a new problem enters your life. A guy that looks about your age, that you remember walking past when he moved in, who fell from nine floors high in the stairway. He’s lying on the floor with blood all over and around him. Everyone is scrambling to take a look and Seo Yikyung has to be the one to hold them back, because you and Eunhyuk are too busy checking the supposedly dead man’s pulse for the third time.
“He’s breathing.” you sigh, pulling away your trembling hand from his face again. This is insanity.
“It’s impossible…”
“Get a grip.” you shove Eunhyuk’s shoulder, “Impossible isn’t in our vocabulary right now. Weird as this may be, we can’t just leave him here, so start thinking or I’ll make the decisions.”
He’s shaken out of his thoughts, alright, but now he seems another kind of confused that you can’t bring yourself to try deciphering. He calls your name but you don’t respond.
You don’t exactly look down, but you start to kneel to reach towards the body on the floor. You need to carry him somewhere else, where no one will see how bad it is. There’s kids here and the adults aren’t reliable. You can’t let this cause more trouble.
Your gaze is looking anywhere else but at the corpse— Person. Alive. You almost grab him when Eunhyuk stops you with a hand on your shoulder, effectively causing you to flinch.
“It’s fine. I’ll do it.”
He hoists the limp body up on his back with some effort and holds him tightly so he doesn’t fall. “Tell them to go elsewhere. It’ll only cause issues for them to see more than needed.” he tells you, nodding towards the hallway. The blood that gets on his clothes and the state of the one he carries unsettles you a little, but you nod and hurry outside.
“Go to the daycare.” you say, voice hoarse. Everyone’s chattering does nothing to help you calm down. You’re not sure if they didn’t hear you or if they simply don’t care. “I said go! Right now!” you exclaim, much louder.
The talking silences and everyone reluctantly heads to that place, though clearly still trying to get a glimpse of the situation. You breathe out sharply and stare down at the floor. Your reflection meets you halfway on the tiles, showing you just how little control you currently have on the emotions you usually hide so well. You’ve seen people get killed too many times since this all started but this is was one too many.
You can’t even tell if the stranger’s fall was accidental, if it was suicide, if… You can’t think.
Eunhyuk passes by you and you barely notice. Or rather, you force yourself not to notice.
So much blood.
The sun sets and rises again. Tension does as well.
“We can’t keep on using him.” you say upon stepping into the security office. Eunhyuk is leaning against the desk, eyes trained on the several CCTV screens when you come in, and he seems like he’s about to leave the moment you start talking. You close the door and he gives up. He seems to know there’s no point in trying to leave, now.
“Who?”
“Don’t play dumb. We both know you’re not.”
“High compliments coming from you.”
You sigh and step further into the room. “I’m not in the mood to argue, Lee Eunhyuk. Cha Hyunsu, he… He doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. You know it, too.”
Eunhyuk is silent. You see his thumb tapping against the desk rhythmically, like he’s thinking hard about something.
“Lee Eunhyuk.”
“I heard you.”
“Then say something!” you scream.
Eunhyuk turns to look at you. You take a breath. It’s unlike you to let your anger turn to yelling but you feel hopeless. Cha Hyunsu is just a boy your age trapped in circumstances he never asked for, and forced to do the worst part of the work around Green House. Eunhyuk never wanted to send anyone upstairs, yet he decided to send Hyunsu there. Because he’s a monster? Because he survived a several floors high fall? Because he was doomed to live in-between two kinds of evil, neither of which truly accepts him?
It just feels like it hits you harder today that this world will continue to be this cruel. And you two are not making it any better.
“This is the best way.” Eunhyuk says, unfazed. “The group needs to survive. You said it yourself. Cha Hyunsu’s the best bet we have at getting this result.”
“We saw him die, Eunhyuk.”
“He’s alive. You know that.”
“This is unfair.”
“The world is unfair.”
You look elsewhere, annoyed. Eunhyuk calls your name in the same tone he always does. “Your sympathy is useless.”
“What kind of leaders are we if rid of any compassion?”
“… The kind needed to survive.” he says quietly, gaze cast downwards. “Jisu asked for band-aids. Could you bring them to her for me?”
Anything’s a good enough distraction from whatever spiral you feel yourself falling into.
“Sure.”
Days pass. Your anger subsides.
“But didn’t you say it was okay to go there?”
“No, I didn’t.” Eunhyuk crosses his arms, “Who told you that?”
A name is mentioned in reply.
You sneeze.
“Aye, did you catch a cold?” Eunyu scoffs, laughing smoke at the face you seem to be making. “That’s bad. Catching a cold during an apocalypse? Seriously.”
You and the girl are sitting on the fire escape stairs, on the floor closest to the main hall. She has a habit of disappearing to go smoke, or whatever else she does, and you don’t want her getting killed. She didn’t seem to mind you coming to check up on her the first time, and now you have a habit of disappearing to hang out with her.
“I’m fine.” you click your tongue, “Anyways, you shouldn’t be smoking out there. If your brother was here he’d be pissed.”
“Who cares? Let’s not act like he ever shows it.”
You roll your eyes a little and chuckle. “Sure.” you hum, “Still. What’s the point in smoking? During an apocalypse, too? That’s bad.”
She flips you off and you return the gesture, earning a laugh in return. You don’t talk to many people in this place. Your age differs from nearly everyone. Eunyu’s a bit younger, so you’re mostly watching over her. Then there’s Hyunsu, but there’s a nearly visible wall between him and everyone. You can’t blame him for putting distance between you two especially. As far as he’s concerned, you’re also responsible for the errand-running he’s been told to do.
There’s Yikyung, but you’ve struggled to get close since you told her to shove off when she had Eunhyuk pinned to a wall. You’re not sure why you did that, even now. She’d be better company than him, maybe. And you understand her reasons.
Then there’s Eunhyuk.
“Serious talk, listen up.” Eunhyu huffs, “What relationship do you entertain with my brother?” she mimics a serious sounding voice that’s so unlike her. It makes you scoff in amusement.
“He’s a…” You trail off. What is he? A friend? An acquaintance? Whatever could be considered a coworker, at the moment? A fellow leader? “Uh, a person.”
Eunyu gives you this look that is so clearly judgemental that you consider jumping off the railing promptly.
“Yeah, no shit. Good to know he’s not turning.” she scoffs, “I know you hate him. Spit it out.”
“I don’t recall ever feeling that way.” you lie with an obviously fake smile. Eunyu threatens to throw her lighter at you. “He’s fine, alright? We just work together, I guess.”
“He likes you.”
“Hm?”
“He doesn’t hate you, I mean. You’re not stupid, so you noticed, right?” she says before bringing the cigarette to her lips again. You’re confused and it must show because she sighs in annoyance. “Clearly, I’d say the real leader is you out of you two. Aren’t most decisions yours?”
“They’re ours. Mostly his. Trust me, my opinion isn’t as valued as you might believe.”
Her expression suddenly sours and she curses under her breath. “And I think you’re wrong. Anyways, I’ll leave you with the jerk.” she coughs, pushing herself off of the stairs, “Bye.”
You hum curiously as you watch her leave before turning around. Lee Eunhyuk. Of course.
The first thing he does is shove your shoulder.
“What the hell?” you scoff, scrambling up to your feet before you can lose your balance. It’s such an unexpected move from him that you can’t help the words that slip past your lips. “What’s your deal?”
“Returning the gesture. What’s yours?”
“Huh?”
“The gate to the store alley. I said it should stay closed.” he says, “So why are three people on their way back from there telling me I allowed it?”
“Because I allowed it.” you say casually. “It had medicine, water, and some canned foods. Besides, we needed fresh air.”
He stays silent for at least half a minute before he steps closer to you. Close enough for your hands to touch if your arms were to move an inch. “It’s not safe. I said so enough, didn’t I?”
“Have you ever cared about safety?”
“I have—”
“About the people’s, about the half-monsters’s, about yours?”
Your name sounds tense when he says it.
“About mine?”
“Do you ever stop talking?” he grits his teeth. His eye twitches. You wouldn’t have noticed it had you been further away. No, you… you would have. You know his every feature and emotions too well by now. You would realize the most unnoticeable of changes from him. Any of them.
He’s angry.
There.
“Does that piss you off? That I talk so much?” you say, “Is it a problem because you never do? Does hearing someone so much get on your nerves? Should I leave the leading you? Are your decisions supreme? Am I too talkative? Is that it? Is that it?”
He kisses— He almost kisses you. He stops short of pressing his lips against yours, short of holding your collar and bringing it up to meet his chest, short of everything you only now realized would’ve been so good to have.
For fuck’s sake. “You’re holding back.”
“There’s no point in causing unnecessary fights.”
“You’re a coward.”
“You—”
You tilt your head, like you want him to finish his sentence. You do. He’s realized this much.
He takes a breath to calm down and steps back, much to your dismay.
“I know why you used to be so self-centered.”
“That’s…” you trail off, before laughing in disbelief. “What?”
“You almost got killed at the alley to the store, the one you just allowed to be opened. First day of the apocalypse. I remember it. You looked terrified. Then you put your survival above anyone else’s.” he says, “And yet now, you keep on trying to go. That’s something I don’t understand.”
You swallow, images of that monster nearly killing you with its claws, and dragging away a bloodied, dismembered corpse when it failed to find you. The feeling of someone pulling you back into the shadow so you wouldn’t get noticed, and the chaos that ensued in the main hall so quickly that you never got to see who it was.
… Wait?
“That was you.”
“It doesn’t matter who it was. You changed.” he cuts off any questions you might have, “You used to be selfish. People falsely believed you were a good leader just because you seemed strong. But you didn’t care about anyone’s lives except yours.”
“… So what? What changed?” you ask quietly, “Did you fall for it, too? Because I’m still the same, as far as I’m concerned.”
“You don’t get it.”
“I do—“
“The you I first talked to in the security room would’ve never went out of their way to make sure some high-schooler is doing fine. They wouldn’t have been this upset over a random half-monster running errands. You would have been unbothered. And that store you seem so obsessed with would’ve been emptied of the basics before anyone could get them. But it was full, wasn’t it? The store was untouched.”
You’re not sure what to say. Where is he going with this?
“Fine.” you settle with that. “Let’s say that, somehow, you’re right. Then should we talk about you? That you changed, too?”
“This isn’t about me.”
“You never talk this much. Why are you so obsessed with this?”
“… I just wanted you to know.” he says, but it sounds like he’s withholding another response. “It didn’t feel right for me not to tell you I knew about what happened after all this time. Also I need you to come back now. People are gonna crowd the store too much for it to be left without any rules.”
You look away. Decide. Look back at him. “Fine.”
Lives come and go. The obvious is ignored.
A lot of guns were pointed at a lot of people’s heads today. You’re unsure why the image of Eunhyuk stuck to the floor with a gun pointed to his forehead is stuck in your mind so much. It keeps rewinding— Reminding you that you were both helpless there, that you got lucky he even survived it all.
There’s so much blood everywhere.
Someone says your full name, with a tone much too casual to match what seemed to be politeness and with such ease that it can only be one person. He grabs your arms and tries to catch your gaze. “Are you okay?”
“Are you crazy?” you whisper, looking at him. He looks like a mess. “You almost got killed, Eunhyuk.”
“So did you. Don’t downplay it.” he argues. You expect his grip to loosen now that he’s seen you’re alright enough to talk but it only seems to tighten, “We have a few minutes to get it together before we have to go back to the usual. So be honest for once.”
Being honest…
You look at him, and your eyes are burning. “Fuck, Eunhyuk, I don’t know why I’m this scared.” you cough out, hands tensing at your sides.
He carries something gentler in his gaze, something you’re unfamiliar with. His hand drops to your wrist and he squeezes it. “Breathe.” he says, and you try, but it’s like you’re struggling to get the air in and out of your lungs. It’s burning, too. Why?… You’re panicking. That’s why. Your breaths come out short and that uneasiness who loves to get in the way of your thoughts is back. You can’t do anything, right now— you wouldn’t be able to get anyone to survive, let alone yourself.
Eunhyuk’s hand grabs your hastily and he brings it to his chest. “Slow down. Just breathe. That’s all that matters, right now.”
“Are you breathing?”
“I am. I need both of us to be. So listen to me.”
“Yeah.”
And just like a doctor would, he guides you to something calmer. Your gazes are locked the whole time. He insisted. Don’t look anywhere else, he said, just me. He helps you remember how to breathe again, helps you remember how to think, and helps you remember you have a lot to do immediately.
“We need to go.” you say, back to the closest thing to normal you could manage. “Hyunsu’s gone. Did anyone get shot? You should—”
“You should go grab the medkits. The ones in the nursery. Bring them here. I’ll take care of it.”
You don’t argue. “Okay.
Ah!” — But you nearly lose your footing. You hear Eunhyuk breathe out something that almost sounds like a laugh and turn around to glare.
“You’ll be lightheaded for a bit. Be careful.”
“Oh, yeah, okay.” you scoff. You hear Eunyu yell something along the lines of ‘It’ll be fine, so stop looking and get to work—‘ but you’re too far away to catch all of it.
The skies darken before the light comes back again. Things are eerily quiet.
When leadership becomes worthless, it’s hard to keep a proper sense of identity. Everyone has seen you and Eunhyuk as their leaders for a long while now. But since Jung Uimyeong’s arrival and the clear impact he’s had on the group’s dearest Cha Hyunsu, the atmosphere has suffered a drastic change. It feels tense for everyone but the newfound duo. It’s suffocating.
But instincts remain the same. Survival is key, and that means gathering information is, as well. You need to get what Uimyeong’s plan is before it escalates, but you know he would have no interest in talking to you.
So Hyunsu, it is.
“You don’t trust me.”
“But I do! I’ve always trusted you, Hyunsu.”
The latter keeps on walking and you have to jog to catch up. This is ridiculous, how could he allow a stranger to change him so much? Did he convince him the people here were the real enemy? You wouldn’t be surprised. Still…
“Just stop and have an actual conversation with me.” you scoff.
He does just that, stops in his tracks, and you nearly run into him. He turns around slowly to look at you. Hyunsu’s expression is usually devoid of emotion but now it’s just cold. “I don’t want to talk to you. Everything you say’s a lie. You don’t trust anyone here. I’ll say good luck to the people who still think you’re a good leader.”
“Isn’t that too much?” Eunhyuk. “Especially since you know it’s not true. Or were you influenced by that guy so easily?”
Hyunsu glances at him, then back at you, before directing his glare to Eunhyuk again. “Find someone else to run your errands. I’m tired of it.”
“That’s not—”
“Leave him be.” Eunhyuk says as Hyunsu walks away. You sigh and rub your temples. This isn’t good. “There’s no point in trying to reason with him now.”
“So what, we don’t do anything? Leave things as they are?”
“We do.”
You sigh and turn around to let your head drop on his shoulder. Eunhyuk brings his hand to the back of your head and leaves it there. You’re not sure how or why this change happened between the two of you after the shootout, but neither of you mention it. It might be for the best.
“I’m tired.” you mumble.
“You should get some rest.” he says quietly, “There isn’t much to take care of, right now. You should be able to sleep for a bit.”
“How long is a bit?”
“Until I wake you, approximately.”
“… Fine by me.”
The sun sets—
“Wake up.”
“Hmm…?” you force yourself to open your eyes and look up. God, the world’s blurry. “What?”
“Switch. I need to rest for a bit.”
You nod lazily and sit up on the bed, making space for him to sit. He settles at your side and turns to look at you. “Look here.” he says (demands) with a hand on your jaw. You turn and feel like he’s scrutinizing your face. “Any injuries?”
“Not anything new, no.” you say, “You?”
“The same.” he sighs, dropping his hand. It’s your turn to touch his face. You hold the side of it in your hand and let your thumb graze the skin under his eye. His glasses are good to hide his eyes, you think. But you’re always close enough to see them. After the shooting, you remember something, despite the state you were in.
“You cried.” you say. He hums inquisitively at that. “When those guys barged in and stuff. When you came back after going with them, you looked like you’d been crying.”
“Not really. I was just upset.”
“Because?”
“Is there not enough reasons to be upset in this place?” he deadpans, and scoffs silently when you give him a look. “I couldn’t save Ms. An. I watched her get shot.”
You have half a mind to hold back from squeezing his head to death. “And you didn’t think it worth mentioning? That’s bad, Eunhyuk.”
“I’ve… Seen worse.”
“That’s stupid.”
“You’re stupid.”
You look at him with wide eyes. “Take it back.”
“Or else?” he asks. Oh. Oh. He’s teasing you. What the hell? This is new. Your hand drops to grab his collar. You get deja-vu. Something similar happened before. He looks down at your hand then back up at you.
“You really want to find out, do you?”
There’s something in the air. Something you would’ve usually described as tension, but it almost feels comfortable. You know Eunhyuk well yet you can’t tell what’ll happen next. You could guess, though. Each word and touch means more now than it used to.
(Maybe they always meant something, maybe you just chose to ignore it.)
He stares at you for a few seconds then tilts his head to the side, expression unreadable. “I do.”
Your fingers tighten around his collar and he smiles. His hand comes up to wrap around your wrist, slowly pulling it away from him. “Hey…?”
“But I don’t think I’ll find out about anything. You’re a liar, after all. And a coward, just like me.” he says, all whilst gently pushing you to lay on the mattress. He does it so naturally it takes you a moment to realize. He hovers over you with your wrist still in hand. “Is that fine with you?”
“You insulting me or you pinning me down?”
“You decide.” he sighs, pressing your wrist down gently next to your head, “Would I be wrong to assume you don’t really mind either of those?”
You decide to shut him up instead. He takes it well.
“You taste a bit bloody.”
“Deal with it.”
heLP???? look I know I said I'l be updating you guys after I've watched it but apparently IT'S BEEN MONTHS?????? so yeah
With the news of season 3 coming along I got rlly hyped because THE Lee eunhyuk has returned but here are some things from shs2 that I absolutely LOVED and some aspects that I don't hate bt don't necessarily like
One thing though is this show didn't feel like sweet home at all, it felt like I was watching a drama that tributes sweet home or maybe I was jst too attached to s1 methinks.
Second is why did they have tk kill jisu 😭 they made my homegirl die such a brutal death and for WHAT???? It made me wonder if the story will play off very differently if she was there.
I loved how some characters from s1 had comebacks/cameos AND I LOVED EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF THEIR SCREEN TIME!!! The appearance of the mother monster made me audibly GASP so imagine how loud of a sound I made when I saw eunhyuk 😭
I also loved how they wrote ah-yi's character, it was very interesting to watch yikyung's story 😭 plus, we get to see uncle hyunsoo! I live for soft hyunsoo, so that was very endearing to watch.
Lastly, it was refreshing to see the little not-plot-relevant but light side plots that balance the mood. The girl having a crush on that military man and the girl crushing on the priest made it feel sweet home-y because who says that you can't be a little silly even during an apocalypse?
This silly little show still has me in a chokehold and I could yap about it for hours BUTTT for now, that's it
getting to the surface
Fandom: 스위트홈 | Sweet Home
Pairing: Cha Hyun Su/Lee Eun Hyeok
Rating: M
Length: 01:39:08
Summary: Hyunsu is reeling. The brother that Eunyu always complained about sounded like a giant nerd. He wore khakis and button ups almost exclusively. He played chess for fun. Hyunsu is feeling extreme dissonance between the nerdy Eunhyuk that he has always imagined and this Eunhyuk, who is now pressing his thumb so tightly into the divot of Hyunsu’s hip that it’s sure to leave bruises.
“I said, come home with me,” Eunhyuk repeats. “If you want.”
found an island in your arms || Eun Hyuk x Reader
Tumblr media
word count: 1.4k
warnings & tags: angst, eun hyuk deserves a hug and he gets one, eun hyuk is a little controlling towards the reader
previous one-shot
A/N: my entry for day two of @neohumanmonster's Turning a New Leaft event! Prompt: Change in Nature. While this is in relation with yesterday's entry, there is no need to have read it to understand this one, it just provides a little more context.
Tumblr media
Eun Hyuk is more tense lately, more irritable. Everyone can feel it, though most people chalk it up to the dwindling rations and the growing fear that the army simply isn’t coming to save you. You can tell that Eun Yu doesn’t believe in that, though, and neither do you.
Eun Yu doesn’t seem to have an actual explanation for her brother’s out of character behavior. She pokes and probes and throws out cutting remarks to see what sticks, but she doesn’t seem all that worried either.
“He does that sometimes,” she answers you bluntly when you ask if she thinks Eun Hyuk is doing alright. “There’s probably something he wants to fix. I’m sure he’ll get there. He just needs a little push.”
That doesn’t satisfy you. You don’t like to sit idle while people are in pain, don’t like to sit idle at all, actually, even if someone is hammering that you’re doing it ‘for the greater good”. But the thing is, you and Eun Hyuk… don’t get along that well. You clashed a bunch in the beginning, before you were outvoted by the people who thought Eun Hyuk would bring them safety, at least. It was a short-term solution, what he was offering, you’d argued — to which he had replied that yours was a death sentence.
You still admired him. The decisions he had to make on a daily basis couldn’t be easy ones to make, nor were the sacrifices. Of course, you still often believed he chose wrong, but you had to admit that he had kept most of the group alive until now, and considering the circumstances, that was truly impressive.
You just wish that he would let you do more. Instead, he’s constantly getting in your way, particularly when it comes to helping the infected. ‘Your abilities could help the whole group’, he’d say. ‘We can’t afford to lose them because you trusted someone you shouldn’t have.’ It drove you insane, how easily he’d interfere, always with these pseudo rational arguments that you never really bought were genuine ones.
It felt as if they were just for show, and as such you never felt all that guilty for going against his orders.
You weren’t dumb. You wouldn’t put others in danger unless they were willing to risk themselves for something. But you also refused to let others get hurt through your own inaction. So if you had to sneak around to see Hyun-Su’s in order to treat his wounds and bring him food, then you’d do as you damn pleased, and neither Eun Hyuk nor anyone else had any say in that. It was your life, and it was your decision.
Still, you can’t say you’re thrilled when you find Eun Hyuk waiting for you when you exit Hyun-Su’s so-called room. He’s leaning against the wall, hands in his pockets, and he gives you an annoyed look when you come out.
“What did I tell you?” he asks you coldly.
You grimace. The two of you are almost the same age, and you hate that patronizing tone he insists on taking with you.
“Hyun-Su needed help,” you say. “There is a limit to what even you can ask of me.”
He’s silent for a while. You notice him clenching his fists, and something unusually dark passes in his eyes. His jaw tenses, a vein bulges on his forehead. You think you’ve done it now, that you’re going to get an earful — even if you still don’t quite understand why. There’s simply no reason for him to care that much, and the lack of control is blatantly unlike him.
You’d run into him often, before this whole— thing— started. He was always quiet but sweet, would smile politely when you got in the elevator, maybe exchange niceties with you when you met in the lobby. He’d leave early and come home late, with the look of someone who hadn’t taken a breather all day, but it never appeared to have any effect on his temper.
That’s what’s throwing you off right now. How angry he seems to be.
After what feels like an eternity, he exhales, relaxes his hand.
“I guess you’re right,” he says, but his voice sounds too even now, like it’s forced. “I can’t force you to do anything. I just wish you’d consider that—” He cuts himself off the second his voice becomes strained again, looks away from you.
None of that is normal for him.
“Eun Hyuk,” you say, taking a step towards him. “Is there something wrong?”
He stares in your eyes for a second, and for that second, you think that maybe he’ll give you an honest answer.
“Everything is wrong,” he says in the end, and again, you know it’s nothing more than a half-truth. Then again, you can’t blame him for not telling you. “Can you even remember the last time thing went right for us?”
It’s not that he’s lying, it’s just that you know he’s not being genuine, and so you don’t bother continuing that line of discussion. It unnerves the other residents when you drop a conversation that is clearly going nowhere, makes them think you’re avoidant, but you think Eun Hyuk understands it. Close enough, anyway.
“You should still tell someone,” you tell him.
“I— What?”
“I get why you wouldn’t want to tell me,” you say with a shrug. “I still think you should tell your sister. Or Jae-Heon, I guess, if you’re more comfortable with that, but I get why it can’t be me.” You take a step towards him, put a hand on his shoulder. You do it slowly, as if you were trying not to spook a skittish cat. Eun Hyuk glances down at your hand, but makes no movement to get rid of it. “I’m here if you need me.”
He scoffs, looks away from you, pushes his glasses higher on his nose. But you don’t let go, and he doesn’t actually move away from you.
“I mean it,” you say softly. “If you want to talk, or if there’s any other way to help you. Just let me know.”
He closes his eyes. You wait for it to sink in, then take your hand off, hoping you haven’t pushed a boundary already. As you break contact with him, though, he grabs your wrist without warning, and pulls you into him. Your chest collides with him as he wraps both arms around and his chin comes rest on your shoulder.
You’re surprised by how strong his embrace is, how he clearly doesn’t want to let go.
“Eun Hyuk?” you squeak.
“Just— Just give me a second,” he says, voice so low you barely hear it. “Please. Just let me have that.”
You feel your heart almost breaking at the desperate plea. Slowly, you close your arms around him, start rubbing his back. You’re not sure what’s happening, not completely, but you know he’s warm against you, and you know you need that contact, too.
Seconds go by, until he takes a step back, clearing his throat. He refuses to meet your eyes, but you don’t miss that his cheekbones are dusted pink now.
“Sorry, I—” Then he lets out a long exhale, and appears to get himself back under control. “You offered.”
You’re not fooled in any way by that, but you still nod.
“And the offer still stands. If you need any help, you know where to find me.”
Another long exhale.
“You— Why— Why would you—”
“Because you need help,” you answer. “You’re the one who’s looking after everyone, and I want to make sure there’s someone looking after you, too.” Eun Yu does, sure, but Eun Yu’s a kid, and that’s a lot of responsibility to put on her shoulders.
“Thank you,” Eun Hyuk mumbles, still not looking at you. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Then he gives you a vague nod and leaves the hallway without once looking back.
Your eyes follow him, worried. You’re afraid he’s reaching his breaking point. This situation is revealing things about people, about yourself, too, even if you don’t like looking at it. Clearly, it’s changing you.
You can only hope that Eun Hyuk will withstand that change — and be by his side for as long as he needs you to.
Drunken FWB (NSFW)- Donghae + Eunhyuk
Tumblr media
A/N: For my lovely @muselin who requested a D&E smut. Thank you for the idea, this was really fun to write :)
You and your friends Donghae and Eunhyuk were enjoying a relaxing evening with each other and some alcohol. Given your history of getting drunk with Eunhyuk, you should have guessed where the evening was going to go and warned Donghae, but that didn't occur to you until it was too late.
The two of you had never actually discussed the situation but seemed to have accidentally become friends with benefits when alcohol got involved. Tonight was no different.
It started as innocent conversation and laughs, but Eunhyuk slowly creeped closer and closer to you on the sofa until your legs were touching. Your hand instantly came to rest on his thigh, inching higher and higher. His hand then snaked around your waist before coming to rest on your hip, pulling you tight into him and tracing circles there with his thumb.
If Donghae noticed something odd at this point, he certainly didn't voice it. It wasn't until Eunhyuk started kissing along your neck and shoulder that Donghae raised an eyebrow.
"Am I missing something?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" you replied.
He simply gestured between you and Eunhyuk who was busy leaving a hickey at the crook of your neck.
"Oh," you exclaimed realising why Donghae was confused. "It's just something that happens if we're drunk and horny."
"You should join us," Eunhyuk suggested suddenly.
"What?" Donghae replied in utter shock.
"Oh, that could be fun," you chimed in, perfectly happy to go along with Eunhyuk's plan.
Donghae let out a chuckle of disbelief over the fact that he was having this conversation with two of his closest friends. "You're kidding right?"
"Come on, she's good I promise," Eunhyuk continued to try and persuade him.
"How would you know if you are always drunk?"
"Yah, I'm never so drunk I can't get it up, so I think I'm sober enough to remember. If you join in, I'll let you choose where you go."
Donghae looked at you quizzically.
"It doesn't make a difference to me who's at what end," you shrugged.
For a moment, Donghae just sat staring between the two of you.
"You're actually serious about this, aren't you?" he asked finally.
"Completely," you confirmed.
"Won't it make our friendships weird?"
"Hasn't done with me and Hyuk," you pointed out.
"And there is an offer of a blow job?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"If that's what you want, sure."
Donghae still wasn't 100% but you could tell he was now seriously considering the idea.
"You can either stay in here and drink by yourself while we get busy, or you can join in," Eunhyuk said.
"OK, I'm in," he agreed eventually.
"If you are ever unsure or change your mind, just say," you said, gesturing for him to join you on the sofa.
Following your lead, he walked towards you. As he sat down, you reached out and began to palm him through his trousers, Eunhyuk now readjusting his position to do the same to you.
When Eunhyuk pulled away from you and stood to begin unfastening his trousers, you started to play with the button on Donghae's jeans. He showed no signs of unease at the gesture and so you continued, fully freeing him from the confines of his clothing.
Eunhyuk repositioned you so that you were on all fours of the sofa, before pulling your underwear down and grabbing a condom from his wallet to roll down his length. While he was preparing, you ducked down to lick Donghae from base to tip. His head fell back against the sofa as you finally took him in your mouth.
Grabbing your your hips Eunhyuk adjusted you both so that he could slide into you. His movements were slow at first, making sure that you were comfortable with the intrusion. You hardly reacted to him as you focused on pleasuring Donghae. It wasn't until he then pulled out of you and snapped his hips harshly back into you that you back to moan around the younger man.
The three of you quickly fell into a rhythm together, Eunhyuk's thrusts pushing you onto Donghae at a steady pace. As Donghae got more comfortable and lost himself in the moment, one of his hands came to rest on the back of your head, his breaths growing shallower as his neared his end.
You pulled off him for a moment to speak. "Hyuk, more," you moaned, before resuming your actions.
Luckily, Eunhyuk caught your meaning, one hand moving from your hip to between your legs, his hips never slowing. As you started to feel you climax building, you started to hollow out your cheeks, intensifying the feeling for Donghae and encouraging him to reach his high too.
Donghae was the first to fall apart and you'd barely swallowed him down, when Eunhyuk pushed you over the edge. He wasn't far behind you, pulling out before long and allowing you to redress.
You you sat back down and leant on Donghae's shoulder, while Eunhyuk disposed of the condom before collapsing on the other side of you.
"So, Hae, are you pleased we talked you into that?" asked Eunhyuk.
"Very," Donghae replied. "And if it happens again, maybe we can swap places."
You chuckled and Eunhyuk agreed.
"Plenty more drunken nights in our futures then," you chimed in, smiling at your friends, and the perfect arrangement you'd accidentally fallen into.
Supermarket Love | Eunhyuk (SuJu)
Pairing: Lee Hyukjae x Foreigner!Fem!Reader
Requested by @bokkibunny: Hi Fifi, could I please requestfor September a SuJu Eunhyuk imagine where he and the female reader have a meet-cute at the grocery store? She just moved to Seoul and doesn't really speak Korean (she’s a foreigner), but he was kind of cutely amused by her as she's been staring at some shelves for some time, taking something and putting it back multiple times because she doesn't understand if she's buying the right thing. Thank you!
Genre: fluff
Word Count: 731 words
A/n:
Tumblr media
Hyukjae kept looking over at you whilst he looked at the different cooking sauces and wines holding your phone up to the label of each one before setting it back. You were obviously using a translating app to figure out what every item was judging by the way your eyebrows furrowed as you uttered the names of the different sauces under your breath. Not to mention the fact that he’d never seen you at the supermarket before. Of course it was quite possible that you simply did your grocery shopping at a different hour during the day or on a different day that he did, but given the fact that he tended to do his own shopping at completely different time and days frequently he doubted that that was the reason why he’d never seen you before.
Grabbing a bottle of fish sauce he pushed his cart moving to the next aisle continuing collecting the items on his list rather than staring at you. But no more than ten minutes later he found himself back at that aisle having realized he never grabbed a bottle of sesame oil. He’d hoped that you’d be there or in any one of the many aisles that he walked past, but he knew the chances were incredibly low. So you can imagine his shock when he turned down the aisle and there you were still standing in front of the diverse array of plastic and glass bottles grabbing items and staring at them intently before holding your phone to it frowning in confusion.
“This doesn’t look like fish sauce?” you mumbled in broken Korean mixed with English.
Grabbing the bottle of sesame oil, he placed it in his cart intending to just leave, but instead found himself pushing it in your direction stopping directly beside you.
“Are you looking for something?” he asked, startling you. “You’ve been in this aisle for a bit.”
Confusion registered on your face as you tried to decipher the rush of Korean language that had been thrown at you to come up with a response. He didn’t give you much however since he was soon asking the same thing in English, a bit broken and obviously out of practice but good enough to understand and allow relief to flood out of your body.
“Fish sauce,” you answered. “I don’t know if this is it. The app says it is, but it doesn’t look like the one my friend sent me.”
It took him a moment to decipher your own mixture of Korean and English but he eventually motioned for you to follow him up the aisle, stopping in front of an assortment of lighter colored sauces and oils. Hyukjae grabbed a bottle identical to the one in his cart and offered it to you.
“This one is the most popular and my favorite to use,” he explained. “Is it the one your friend sent you?”
You nodded immediately, recognizing the familiar bottle with light brown liquid inside.
“Yes! This is the one!” He couldn’t help but smile at the joy that was radiating from your face as you looked at him gratefully. “Thank you so much!”
He waved his hand before an idea popped into his head, “Do you need help finding anything else?”
“Oh!” You ran back to your cart coming back with a list of a bunch of other things he assumed you were intending to find. A number of items had already been crossed out, but the ones that were left were items that had many different options to choose from. “Do you mind helping me?”
Hyukjae smiled and shook his head walking back with you to your carts, “Not at all. This item is in the next aisle.”
And so began your joint weekly grocery trips, during which he’d help you with your Korean, reading off the different items you buy and making his own recommendations of what would go well with them. But it didn’t stop there. You two quickly ended up going on a few other “trips” - dates - to coffee shops and restaurants under the premise of practicing your speaking and reading skills, resulting in many laughs and good memories being made. Before either of you knew it, you both confessed to each other in each other’s languages stumbling over words before eventually laughing it off and ending with a simple “I love you.”
could you write a headcanon or a scenario like dating lee eunhyuk i'm soft for him :(
i'll do a scenario bc i've written like one actual piece for a month and i need to write more than just headcanons LOL. lets just pretend that in this eun-hyuk sleeps in the security office. he's got like a little bedroll or something on the floor 😭
sorry this is short! this is more of a drabble than a full fic but i hope you enjoy it anyways. gender neutral!!
1 in the afternoon — lee eun-hyuk
Tumblr media
eun-hyuk had so much on his shoulders.
you could tell he was stressed from the hunched shoulders and constant furrowed eyebrows, and— as his partner— you wanted to do something to try and cheer him up. it wouldn't be much, but spending at least some time with him without so much depressing talk going on might make him feel at least somewhat better. it would be a start.
you hadn't been dating for a long time. you had officially gotten together right before the apocalypse happened (it's still weird, knowing there's an actual apocalyptic event happening right outside your door), but you had already acted like a couple even before he officially asked you to be his partner.
with the recent events, eun-hyuk was put in charge. he was calm and level-headed, able to make quick and rational decisions. he proved himself when a monster from outside almost got into the green home, but he never signed up for it.
he spent a lot of his time in the security room close to the daycare. he would spend hours watching the security cameras and contemplate god knows what sitting in there by himself. you couldn't handle seeing him like this anymore.
he suffered in silence. he didn't want to bring you down with him. what he didn't understand was how much he truly meant to you, and seeing him under so much pressure made you upset. all you wanted was for him to be able to be open and honest with you about how he was feeling.
the door to the security office creaked open and you hesitated before stepping inside. you could only hope that he would be grateful for your presence. you contemplated turning around, but shook your head. you couldn't turn your back on the man you loved and cared for the most.
his back was turned to you and his eyes were glued onto the security camera footage in front of him. he was so focused on the tapes that he didn't even notice the sound of the door open. "eun-hyuk?" you asked, hoping it would get his attention. he only hummed in response. he was so.. different. it pained you to see him this way.
you pursed your lips and took a few steps forward. you grabbed a chair from where you were standing and sat it next to where your boyfriend sat staring at the cameras. "aren't you tired?" you asked, taking a seat next to him. he shrugged, "not really." his words told you one thing, but the bags under his eyes told an entirely different story. you grabbed onto one of his hands, which finally grabbed and held onto his attention.
"you need to sleep, eun-hyuk." you told him firmly. you wouldn't take no for an answer anymore, you told yourself as he looked deep into your eyes. from his expression, he looked calm as he always does. though, in his eyes, you could tell that something was wrong. "you need a break, just like everyone else. just because you were made the de facto leader doesn't mean you don't deserve to rest." you said after a few moments of sitting in silence. he only looked at you, not saying anything else. "please. i'll stay with you."
he shook his head again. "i have to make sure everything runs smoothly. i can't take breaks when doing this." eun-hyuk sounded exhausted, taking deep breaths in-between his sentences. "honey. please." you begged, your voice getting quieter and quieter with every word. "i'm worried about you. you spend all of your time in here. i know you want to protect everyone, but i want to protect you from yourself." he doesn't reply to you, but his body loosens up and he stands from the chair. you can almost hear the cracks of his bones when he does so.
you get out of your chair and move closer to him, gently wrapping your arms around his waist as you try to pull him as close to you as possible. you rub calming circles on his back with your palms and nuzzle your face into his chest. he lets out a breath, and he shuts his eyes.
"i needed this." is the only thing he says to you, and you smile as you pull away from the hug. "c'mon. let's lie down."
he smiles. a real and beautiful smile. your heart aches at the look on his face. it's the happiest he's been since the apocalypse started, and you're glad you could be the cause of it.
you tug him over to his makeshift bed in the far corner of the room and he lies down on it, his eyes closing like they did during the hug. though, this time, you climb into his bed next to him and cuddle up against his side, resting your cheek on the palm of your hand as try to look at his face. his cheeks are dusted with a barely noticeable pink, but he has the ghost of a smile etched across his features.
"hey, eun-hyuk?"
"hm?"
"can i kiss you?" you said.
"please."
his voice sounded desperate, like he'd been waiting for you to ask the entire time you'd been in the room with him. he sits up and his hands immediately grab onto your waist to pull you closer to him. you don't kiss him yet, instead you take a moment to admire him and his facial features.
he was so beautiful inside and out. he never knew how incredible he was and you could only hope that you were showing him through your words and actions.
you kissed him without any hesitancy. he melted into your touch and you wrapped your arms around his neck, kissing him as softly as you could. his entire body was and you can see that you're actually helping him. he'll try to pull you closer and eventually pull you onto his lap. he couldn't hold back his laughter as you kiss him. he hadn't felt that much joy in so incredibly long that finally experiencing it again felt like a dream come true.
you pulled away after a few more moments and he leaned after your lips, eyes still closed as he doesn't want you to pull away from him yet.
"thank you for this." he spoke after a brief moment of sitting quietly, just silently admiring each other. he would still have his hands resting on your waist, a smile on his lips. "you don't have to thank me." you peck his lips.
"i'd do anything for you, eun-hyuk. i know you don't realize how important you are to me but with all of this i just.. i know how you need love." he didn't reply but his facial expression says it all. his body tensed up at the mention of the current situation but relaxes after you tangle your hands into his hair. "can we do this again?" you laugh. "of course. now c'mon, love. let's get to bed."
even if it was 1 in the afternoon, eun-hyuk didn't care. he was with you, and that was all that mattered.
