Café au fluff one-shot (1970 words)

" Hey there Zhongli !! how are you doing today ? i hope im not too early for class" greeted Ganyu

"Im doing doing just fine and no you are right on time" Zhongli replied with a kind smile.

Ganyu, a busy med college student, very sleepy but extremely hardworking.

"Come driving rain or winds that churn, I shall return, by blade alone, armed, if barefoot, to my home.. good evening Mr. Zhongli" Kazuha said with a polite smile as he took his seat on the counter of the empty cafe.

"Good evening Kazuha , you are as poetic as always"

Kazuha, a middle school student with a way with words.

"Arataki "Numero Uno" Itto, here in the flesh! Hahaha... *cough*"

"Good evening itto .. er are you alright ?" Zhongli asked with a concerned smile

"Yeah im chill gramps"

"well thats good to hear" Itto took his seat besides Kazuha and started chatting away about beetles because "They're so cool little dude you have no idea"

Arataki Itto , an animal enthusiast and Earth science major, hes very excited most of the time.

"Good evening Zhongli !! Ei is finally free from mid terms so she's able to join us today!" Miko, freshly graduated, works in a publishing house.

"Hello." Ei or Raiden , she's in her last year of college doing business studies.

"Greetings Miko , Ei , im glad you could join us today !

We'll be making Bento cakes. They are the size of a bento(lunch box) but the rest is exactly the same as a normal cake."

All the "students" were standing at their own stations, which were just the cafe tables put together. They had a small notebook and pen in their hands ready to write down what notes Mr. Zhongli aka their teacher gave. A few actually wrote notes while some doodled "Beetle shaped icing supremacy"

Zhongli is a college graduate from Liyue College of Teyvat. He graduated in Business studies and culinary arts . Wanting to become a chef from an early age he had a clear dream in mind and was currently living it by owning a small yet popular cafe called Cafe Rax (named after his pet cat morax). He owned a few other places aswell but spent most his time here. He often gave lectures at LCT , being an alumni there.

baking lessons after the cafe closed was an impulsive decision but a good one since he found many friends. All the people came for different reasons.

Ganyu : "I feel like im too involved in work and i wanted a new hobby!"

Kazuha : he works at the cafe as a part timer "so why not, i wish to see where this path leads me"

Itto : "im gonna bake delicious stuff for granny, she's done so much for me !"

Miko : "itll be good seeing you everyday my friend , plus me and Ei can bake together"

Raiden : "for Miko"

The strength on the so called baking class was small but they were a happy lot.

"Firstly i want you all to tie your aprons and wash your hands"

Everyone in class had an apron of their choice , all of them had specific designs sewed onto them , Zhongli's had a small whale , Ittos had a little brown dog , Kazuha's had a purple and white electro sign , Ei's had a pink fox and Miko's had dango.

"Okay people now take out the following ingredients

2 eggs

1 egg yolk

Dark muscovado sugar 60g

Maple syrup 15g (1.5 tbsp)

1/2 tsp salt

All-purpose flour 50g

Dark cocoa powder 10g (1.5 tbsp)

("Thats sugar itto not salt"

"Pffftttt ofc i knew that haha-")

He ran with a smile on his face and cheeky but slightly vacant eyes as water splashed around his feet and all of his clothing became drenched. If he didn't quickly find shelter, all of his books would be a tangled mess of soggy pages. In the distance, he could make out Cafe Rax. He debated whether or not to enter the coffee shop because there was a particular person there who gave him feelings he had never experienced before. He was motivated to genuinely live, to get up, and to improve by the person inside. If only the person was aware of him, things might progress if they did.

. . . . . . Okay maybe that was a little dramatic, they were best of friends but Mr. Ginger went ahead and fell in love .

Tartaglia had known Zhongli for at least four years, first as a senior in college, then as an alumnus delivering speeches, and last as a friend and his own personal barista who provided him biased discounts that no one had the courage to point out.

The bell jingled loudly, signalling the entry of a person into the cafe. Tartaglia came here every day at the same hour, so no one needed to turn their heads to see who it was. Zhongli looked up from where he was removing his mittens to see his best friend, whom he secretly adored staring at. Wet, vivid orange hair clung to his forehead, blue eyes flashing brightly, and a broad smile with all teeth and heated cheeks. Seeing his best friend in this state made Zhongli's heart race. He grabbed a towel and ran over to the ginger, grumbling about how he'll get sick if he continues forgetting his umbrella . "You should be more careful Childe , how many times have i advised you to carry a raincoat or an umbrella-"

He stopped abruptly when a hand came up to his face and a dainty finger grazed his cheek. His cheeks flushed at the contact, he barely managed to keep his composure .

"You had flour on your cheek" said Childe

Childe brushed his thumb again on the brunettes cheek , his touch was feather light .

It was flawless. Zhongli had a whale apron on, while Childe had a towel over his head and messy hair, all raw and domestic. Zhongli's eyes followed the tiny water droplets trickling down the ginger's face as they exchanged glances.

Zhongli extended his hand to touch Childes. He then closed his eyes and relaxed, savouring the sensation of his best friend's palm brushing across his cheek. Childe admired and loved him with all of his heart, hoping Zhongli could see how his eyes shone at the thought of the other man. The rest of the room was silent until Itto's cough shattered the tension

(his face was red from holding in the cough "dude." "sorry little guy i tried my best" "drink some water")

When the trance was broken, Zhongli returned to work with a flushed face, and Childe started doing his assignments as usual on Zhongli's desk. Both of them were focused elsewhere.

How could they focus on work when that just happened. Childe was getting tired of this 'routine'. He really wished for Zhongli to see him in a different light. Not as a friend but something more. He wanted to mean to Zhongli what Zhongli meant to him. He wanted to watch the sunset with him , hold hands , kiss him and be his forever and ever .

He distracted himself with algebra and soon enough his thoughts were lost in numbers and variables . He was so laser focused on his work that he didn't hear several ovens and the rustling of people walking out the door with the jingle of the bell.

Zhongli cleaned up the counter thoroughly. He collected all the bowls and other utensils used and kept them under the sink , then putting away all the extra ingredient back to their places.

He took out the freshly baked bento cake and started icing it. He had a variety of colours from which he chose blue , orange and little bit of red. He somehow managed to draw a chibi childe. He was happy with his creation. But he was also nervous because today was the day he was going to do it . Risk it all . Confess.

Zhongli had thought of the most extravagant ways to confess to childe but then he settled for the most familiar and meaningful way to do it. By baking. the cake had both his love for baking and for his dearest childe. He gazed at the ginger sitting at a desk , scratching his pencil on paper , eyes narrowed in concentration as her did his work. He couldnt be more proud , remembering the struggle the other had went through to reach this level of calm. The leg shaking had lessned and the focus had increased , his eyes were just a smidge brighter . Knowing he played a small role in the happening of that was just elating .

He grabbed the bento and softly kept it on the gingers desk which made him look up. He noticed?the cafe to be empty and all cleaned up.

"Sorry for intruding !! i should get going Zhongli"

"Its alright , i have to talk to you. Have this first , its- uh i made it for you"

(aww man he even looks professional while stuttering thought childe dreamily)

"For me?? im flattered , truly. If i may , what is the reason for such a mmmm delicious present?"(from a delicious man like yourself )

Zhongli took a deep breath as he took Childes hands in his, he could feel the roughness of his fingers , the warmth of them. He was feeling a different sense of calm. He was relaxed as he looked into his best friends eyes and dared to say the words harboured in his heart.

"Tartaglia, my darling I'm grateful for every minute you've spent with me. I'm always afraid that I won't be able to repay you. I adore you more with each passing year that we remain friends. I've never felt such intense feelings for someone before you. You came into my life and lighted it up. Your ocean blue eyes and beautiful hair never cease to amaze and entice me. I love you. With my entire heart. I would like to court you if you allow me to , beautiful. "

Zhongli looked up from where he had his eyes fixed on their conjoined hands. Blue eyes shone with unshed tears. He panicked for a second before relaxing at the sight of a smile making its way up to Childes face. There was a lot of crying as the younger shoved his face into Zhonglis chest and held onto him like he would never let go. Childe was just so happy to have his feelings returned.

After crying and blabbing out response to the confession, Zhongli looked at Childe and he looked ethereal even with red rimmed eyes and a puffy red nose . He cupped his face softly as he stroked his cheek with the pad of his thumb. They looked into each others eyes "Yes. You can court me Zhongli" said childe with a smile. They dont know who closed the distance but with the feeling of soft lips on each other , their minds went blank. They shared a single innocent kiss , till it became 2 then 3 and then countless. The love was visible in their every movement . The way Zhongli held the youngers face , the was Childe wrapped his arms around zhongli and into his hair and finally the way their lips moved against each others , something fresh and new that could never get old ....

Miko walked back to her house with a smile on her face as the sun shone down on her giving her an ethereal glow..."guess i'll get my notebook tomorrow , at least they got their shit together"she laughed and went her way...

When MCTs enter the liver, they are not incorporated into lipoproteins like very low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and transported via the lymphatic system throughout the body but are instead used immediately for energy production or ketone body synthesis. This unique absorption and metabolism pathway allows MCTs to bypass the usual fat storage pathways in the body. Studies have found that MCT consumption increases 24-hour energy expenditure by 5% when compared to LCTs. The thermogenic effect of MCTs also promotes weight loss and fat reduction. Potential Health Benefits of MCTs Heart Health - MCTs are more efficiently oxidized than LCTs, producing less incorporation into body fat tissues. Studies show MCT consumption reduces cardiovascular risk factors like total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Brain Health - MCTs are readily used by the brain as an energy source producing ketone bodies in the liver. Ketone bodies provide an alternative energy source to glucose for the brain. They are a common ingredient in organic skin and hair care products. Immunity - MCTs support immune cell function and may enhance immunity against pathogens. Weight Management - By increasing fat burning and energy expenditure, MCTs assist with weight control and managing obesity. Subjects given MCTs for 4 months lost an average of 12 pounds more than controls. Sources of MCTs Coconut oil contains approximately 60-70% MCTs in the form of lauric acid and capric acid, making it the best dietary source. Other sources containing varying amounts of MCTs include palm kernel oil, milk fat and butterfat from grass-fed cows. Commercially available MCT supplements are extracted from coconut or palm kernel oils. Some MCT-rich foods include canned coconut milk and cream, lactation cookies, MCT oil, coconut manna and coconut flakes. Nutritional guidelines recommend no more than 2-3 tablespoons or 30 ml of coconut or MCT oil per day for healthy adults. Consuming excess amounts at once can cause diarrhea or stomach upsets.

Check-in 3: Passing through the roadblock

So it's been about 2 weeks since I've made an update. My Chinese learning has been intermittent for these past 2 weeks, as I focused on other things in my life and gave myself a break.

Three things have emerged from this break:

An understanding that I did burn out mildly, and that my intensity of study was unsustainable. I was studying for up to 2-3 hours a day towards the end, and next time if I really get into a groove, I'll force myself to study less time if I think I'm heading in the direction of burnout again.

An understanding that I needed more variety in difficulty. The CME books are still mostly for vocabulary acquisition and sentence reading practice. With this in mind, that the main benefit will be from reviewing the new words, I think more focus needs to be given to learning for shorter amounts of time, but frequently. I'll maintain the idea that I shouldn't do more than 1/2 a chapter of the TB, and that I'm allowed to skip 1/2 to 2/3rd of the exercises in the WB for the sake of my sanity. I haven't ended up using the Intermediate Written Chinese TB or WB. I'll write a bit more about this week's goals a bit later in this post.

I need to rethink my goals this month, because I have a full time job now and it starts on Wednesday (9 - 5:30). Maybe I can set a simpler, less ambitious goal for June, or retain the weekly goals rather than putting too much pressure and falling behind on monthly goals.

Pressed into wartime service, she's hauling 130,000 barrels of oil and three landing craft (LCTs). U-268, a Type VIIC, catches the convoy and picks her off. Abandoned in a panic, her engines are left running... which cause her to go in circles, going as far as colliding with the Convoy Rescue Ship, "SS Rathlin" (Photo 2), before sinking. 19 men are killed; 56 others are rescued. Meanwhile, the Belgian "SS Ostende" (Photo 3), loaded with munitions, is part of Convoy SC-115, and nearing the Scottish coast - and safety - when she hits a mine off the Isle of Mull. On fire and taking water, the Captain drives her ashore to save the ship. Two men are killed, but the ship is saved.. for now. She catches fire again on the 21st, and her cargo detonate, destroying the ship. Meanwhile, in the Mediterranean, the Royal Navy strikes back - pair of U-Class British subs evens the score against the Italians. 25 miles southwest of Marittimo, the destroyer "Bombardiere" (Soldati-Class, Photo 4) is picked off and sunk by HMS United (Photo 5) Casualties unknown. This one was taken by 'JRM - Rex' and is of London Transport (LT) E/3 class tram No. 204 showing a '31' destination blind. Taken with the car about to leave Victoria Embankment, Westminster Bridge is to the photographers right and the Houses of Parliament behind them. I assume that the photo album belonged to a young person because at the front is a list of initials indicating the photographers. CC - C. Carter, HOD - Haynes of Dulwich (W. J. Haynes), JRM - Rex, WRGA - Robin Anderson of South Birmingham, MM - Mummy, JKM - Daddy, CJDM - Me, LOS - Lens of Sutton. The description written next to the photo is "London Transport car No 204 (E3) about to turn from the Victoria Embankment onto Westminster Bridge. On its way to Wandsworth (route 31). April 1950 (JRM)". No. 204 was an ex Leyton Corporation Tramways (LCT) car built in 1931 by English Electric seating 28/46 and running on EMB maximum traction bogies. Up until 1933 it was operated on behalf of LCT by London County Council Tramways (LCC) and ran in LCC livery but with an LCT monogram on the car waist panels, post 1933 it ran in the standard red and cream LT livery. In Jun 1952 it was withdrawn from service and was disposed of (broken up or sold) at the LT Penhall Road Works. The parts of the London tramways system that had not already been withdrawn or transferred to trolleybus/bus operation closed in Jul 1952. Los trabajadores contratados por tiempo determinado no están en su derecho a los 20 días de indemnización por año laborado, sino la fracción I del artículo 50 de la LFT les da un tratamiento especial, conforme la vigencia de su contrato. Para acceder a esta indemnización, deberías intimar al empleador a través de telegrama para que te haga entrega de los certificados del artículo 80 LCT en el plazo máximo de dos días. Si ello no sucede, la ley establece que el trabajador está en su derecho a una indemnización de 3 sueldos.

Si la empresa no lo readmite dentro de los 15 días siguientes a su presentación, tendrá derecho a una indemnización por despido equivalente abogados solucion legal al triple de lo establecido por las leyes laborales actuales. En caso que el trabajador fuera mandado al Seguro de Desempleo por el término de 6 meses, si al acabar este periodo no lo restituyen al trabajo, se cree que se ha producido el despido ficto, y podrá demandar la indemnización que le correspondiere (art. nueve, Decreto Ley N.° quince.180, de veinte de agosto de 1981). Conforme el Tribunal Constitucional (TC), el trabajador que demanda a la empresa para solicitar la reposición en su puesto de trabajo, por estimar que su despido fue injusto, no podrá, al tiempo, pedir que se le pague la indemnización o liquidación. De hacer esto último estaría aceptando el término de la relación laboral. b) Por el empleador, de un mes cuando el trabajador tuviera una antigüedad en el uso que no sobrepase de 5 años y de un par de meses cuando fuere superior".

No obstante, existen casos en los que los empleados no reciben esta bonificación. Aquí le contamos qué puede hacer y a qué tiene derecho cuando se registra esta situación.

Se calcula solo cuando la relación laboral se extingue por despido (directo o bien indirecto), y el empleador suprimió el preaviso al trabajador (es decir, lo despidió sin darle 1 mes o bien 2 -según el caso-, de preaviso a fin de que vaya buscando otro trabajo). La indemnización, será igual a UN mes de sueldo bárbaro por de año en año de servicio o fracción mayor de TRES meses, tomando como base la mejor remuneración mensual, normal y frecuente devengada a lo largo del último año o a lo largo del tiempo de prestación de servicios si este fuera menor. Para calcular la indemnización en la Argentina, hay que incluir la antigüedad y la inclusión o no del SAC sobre antigüedad en la tabla.

Tómese el caso de alguien cuyo contrato fue terminado por el empleador en el trascurso del segundo año en el lugar. Los ocho días de vacaciones que corresponden al trabajador se multiplica por el salario diario, para después multiplicar el resultado por el veinticinco por cien de la prima vacacional y luego dividir la cantidad obtenida entre 356 días del año. A la hora de calcular la indemnización por despido y por renuncia en Argentina como vieron existen varias consideraciones a tomar en cuenta para no perder el pago que por derecho les pertenece a cada trabajador. NO. La indemnización por despido sin causa aquí comentada, se halla exenta del pago de impuesto a las ganancias según lo previsto por la propia legislación fiscal Argentina (Art. 20, inc. i, Ley veinte.628), por lo que no corresponde inferir suma alguna sobre este rubro, debiéndose abonar exactamente el mismo en forma íntegra al trabajador.

El monto de la indemnización no va a poder ser inferior a un mes de salario. Siendo que, para esos casos, los trece sueldos (incluye un año completo de salarios más el aguinaldo) por la indemnización supondría que sean 26 sueldos. Con lo que múltiples especialistas señalan dudas, incoherencias, falta de aclaración y hasta malísima redacción del decreto como el incluir multas, como apunta el artículo quince de la (por empleo en negro), y los artículos 1 y 2 de la ley (sanciona a empresas forzando a sus empleados a comenzar juicio para cobrar sus acreencias). Los trabajadores que no tienen derecho a la indemnización por despido son los trabajadores zafrales, los contratados para tareas transitorias y los contratados a término. Los jornaleros, por su parte, van a tener derecho a un despido si trabajaron cien días en el año.

Es un importe acordado en la negociación igualiaria que no se incorpora al salario básico, pero que está sujeto a deducciones y se toma como base de cálculo de aguinaldo, vacaciones e indemnizaciones. Por norma general, se establece por el lapso que dure el convenio (un año, dieciocho meses o el plazo previsto en el acuerdo) y es una suma fija, que puede ir incrementando a lo largo de este tiempo. En el recibo de salario se enumeran una serie de ítems que son liquidados, ciertos mensualmente, otros de manera ocasional.

Más llá de eso, existen algunos datos que son obligatorios y no pueden faltar en el recibo de salario de cualquier empleado que trabaja en relación de dependencia. El encabezado del recibo debe contener datos sobre el empleador (razón social, domicilio y CUIT), el trabajador (nombre, calificación profesional, CUIL), la relación laboral (fecha de ingreso, categoría) y el periodo de pago (lugar, data, período liquidado, cuenta bancaria).

En los contratos a término indefinido, los trabajadores que devenguen salarios inferiores a diez salarios mínimos mensuales legales tendrán derecho a treinta días de salario, siempre y cuando el trabajador tuviera un tiempo de servicio no mayor de 1 año. Si el trabajador tuviere más de un año de servicio progresivo se le pagarán veinte días auxiliares de salario sobre los treinta básicos.

El empleador tiene la obligación de pagar en base a los plazos de de aviso previo la indemnización va a ser el monto que le hubiera correspondido cobrar al empleado en mes o bien los meses de aviso previo. Paracalcular la indemnización por años de servicio por despido sin causa, se deben tomar elsueldo brutoy que integran las retribuciones sujetas a retención y las exentas, excluyendo las retenciones.

Por otro lado, si el salario es mayor a diez sueldos mínimos legales mensuales, este va a tener derecho a percibir veinte días de salario ya antes de un año y 15 días sobre el salario de los 20 días precedente citado por cada año de servicio continuo. Toda empresa debe pagar a sus empleados como prima de servicios un salario mensual por cada año laborado, o si la vinculación es inferior a un año el pago corresponderá mientras que el trabajador lleve vinculado.

Si al trabajador le faltaba dos meses para salir de vacaciones, se divide el sueldo entre doce y se multiplica por los un par de meses truncos. Ese monto es parte de la liquidación. Ante la falta de pago de la liquidación final o de la indemnización por despido, el trabajador debería reclamar el pago mediante telegrama laboral, a través de el cual se exija el pago adeudado en un máximo de un par de días. La liquidación laboral es un reconocimiento económico que los empleadores hacen a sus trabajadores por finalización del tiempo del contrato a término fijo, retiro por jubilación, terminación unilateral por cualquiera de las partes o finalización del contrato por mutuo acuerdo.

The photo reverse is annotated with "North of West Park, Otley Road", also stamped with the photographer (and/or negative owner) name of H. B. Priestley and the date of 26.5.39.

No. 71 was a fully enclosed 'Chamberlain' class car built by Brush seating 26/46 and running on a 4 wheel EMB Pivotal type J truck. It was first in service Jun 1927, was retrucked with a Peckham P35 May 1946, and had both saloons reupholstered in 'red rexine' Nov 1950.

It was withdrawn from service in Feb 1956 and in the April was burned at Lowfields Road Permanent Way Yard. The parts of the Leeds tramways systems that had not already been withdrawn or transferred to bus operation closed in Nov 1959.
