I can't help but think about how Arturia Lancer turned Tristan from the kind knight he was into the merciless person we first meet in the Camelot Singularity.
And how Morgan told Baobhan Sith that she had to be cruel in order to survive, leading to her becoming the cruel faerie we meet in the Avalon lostbelt.
Like, her being named Tam Lin Tristan, it really feels like there was a reason, beyond Tristan having to come to terms with the fact that the Tam Lin with his name, was the most cruel of the Tam Lin.
From the perspective of being a fan of Spartacus, what did you think of Cnoc and Morgan with their whole ‘we’re massive dictators because we have to be’ shtick?
I'm very sorry, but I don't think I can answer this in to an acceptable/comprehensible degree.
tl;dr: It's complicated, and I think I've gone rabid
I think their shtick is them lying to themselves, and ultimately it's not a good thing, for themselves or their countries. this lostbelt brings up lying to yourself a lot, and the ultimate conclusion is that it's a terrible thing to do, but also a very human thing to do. falling angel meets standing ape, etc. etc. not that they're lying about having no choice because it's pretty understandable that choosing between "live horribly" or "die horribly" isn't much of an option, but they've made a terrible mistake in their logic
they want their rules to be worth it so badly. so fucking badly. they know the alternative is nothing surviving at all, so they think whatever they do to make the alternative happen is worth it, but they've already made the assumption that anything they're doing can cause the alternative to happen. they've seen this already. every time Aesc saved the faeries everything fell back to how it was before. every time, Baobhan Sith dies. maybe next time.
but at the same time, how can you not choose to survive? how can you not choose to try again, to move forward while you still can? the second Morgan left the throne she was torn apart. Cnoc probably would've been eaten alive by her city/mother if she wasn't a proper fit for queenhood. god knows we can't be too hard on them because it's so fucking easy to draw parallels between Aesc and Ritsuka.
at first saving the world was the right thing to do. it was easy, fun even. the situation was dire, but even then, you had allies- friends, even. but the people you sacrificed everything to rejected you. then galahad left. a great disaster hit, your allies scattered to the wind. now you're just desperately grabbing at straws, trying to hold the world together. is there even a plan after the lostbelts? genocide won't bring the world back. oh well, keep going, keep the clans together, can't stop now.
The utter disrespect I dealt to Oberon Vortigern by having Hokusai hand his scrawny ass back to him and slapping him with a giant paintbrush. How many other bosses suffer the humiliation of dying by being painted on?
Of course, this was very unfair since Foreigners have a class advantage over Pretenders, and the fact that the story support Castoria is mandatory meant Hokusai hits even harder since she has Arts support...but I pulled for Hokusai, and the opportunity to wipe out a boss with a father-daughter duo of crazy good brushwork is too good to pass up.
I feel bad for Oberon Vortigern all things considered because I saved for and got a lot of Foreigners (though all of them are NP 1 because I'm a free player and I gotta save SQ for other banners). I have Hokusai, Voyager and Goghie, but I decided to go with Hokusai since they're my first Foreigner, and I still love them as both a character and a unit.
As for other boss slayers, while Hokusai did bug swatter duty, Bedivere is both my monster hunter for easily downing Albion (with help from a friend's Sigurd) and fluffy killer. Really, the Cernunnos boss fight was just a matter of "well if Excaliburs are needed to kill this guy then here, have the man who wields Excalibur as a hand slap Cernunnos in the face"
I know I made Bedivere my strongest unit by leveling him up to 102, unlocking his append skills, and making sure to level up my MLB Aerial Drive to further his NP...but even I'm surprised at how powerful he is, even with 4 curse layers Airgetlam easily reaches 300k-400k damage (plus buffs though).
I messed up this fight because I had Scathach and Skadi come in last, but I mistimed putting all my buffs on Scathach when there were more curse layers in the way, and she got wiped out after, so I had to use a Leyline stone. But it worked out since Oberon Vortigern wasn't that bad of a boss, and it meant Bedivere landed the killing blow on Cernunnos.
I have to rest him after this Lostbelt though, he fought sooooooo many bosses and Berserkers it isn't funny.
In retrospect, it's pretty clear why Adrien wasn't there to learn Monarch was his father in The Final Day.
Namely because "Chat Blanc" and "Ephemeral" each explained why.
His intense emotions over seeing his mother and learning his father became a villain in order to save her would be too good of an opportunity to akumatize him against Ladybug.
Thus Adrien benching himself is essentially the reason why Marinette was able to knock the Moth Miraculous off Gabriel and talk him down.
However... this only means that there's an extra layer of despair painted upon what would've been Adrien's angst over his father's dark secret. Clearly, his father's "sacrifice" is what keeps him going in believing his final moments were heroic.
So what happens when Adrien learns that not only was his father trying to bring back Emilie and became a villain to do so but that he also went out after causing Operation: Alliance to start with. No way to confront his father about this reveal and even Nathalie would be hard pressed for a straight answer.
Hell, I can imagine him crossing the line and forcing Plagg to spill the beans at his direct command. He and Marinette have been good in never, if ever, enforcing rules upon Tikki or Plagg so... woo.
And with Lila likely possessing this information be it from what Hoaxer got out of Nathalie or Nooroo, something tells me that we're in for something far, FAR worse than Chat Blanc if that's even feasibly possible. Perhaps only that the Lucky Charm can't easily undo.
Aaaaaaaaaand that's why there was more of a benefit to keep Adrien to the side for Season 5's finale. If you can't feel the storm that's slowly brewing, better get an umbrella now.
OMG they're done, they're DONE!! Finally, how exciting, there will surely be some spoilers later, I mean, it is inevitable that something will leak, look what happened with the Bible.
Anyway, I'm very excited and I'm sure you are too, because the S6 is definitely going to be amazing, and how do I almost know that? good for the analysis that I am doing of the information that JEREMY was putting out on his Instagram.

Although you may not believe it, in those changes of scenery there are a lot of clues, it is not finished yet, but you can take a look around to see what I have already written and draw your conclusions and theories :D.
Anyway, I have nothing more to say, I will continue to report everything I can, thank you very much for your support and likes.
