I completely forgot about Frank and Sam. 🤢 God what a mess. I’ve only ever watched the show once all the way through and near the end it was only because of Teagan’s sexy self. I wish we’d seen more of her and that Eve and Annalise had actually reconciled onscreen but it is what it is. What I didn’t know was that people were shipping Laurel and Michaela so hard! Or Bonnie and Annalise. It’s enough to make me want to rewatch but then you mention shit like ‘Frank is Sam’s son’ and I’m too repulsed to try lol

I don't think I ever seriously shipped Bonnie x Annalise, because Bonnie spent the entirety of the show being an incredibly emotionally vulnerable person. When they kissed, I had mixed feelings about it. Because I felt like Bonnie had this overwhelming love for Annalise (she said so herself). But it's kind of like the love where it's so much that you don't know what to do with it. Bonnie hated Annalise, was in awe of Annalise, was afraid of Annalise, and was devoted to Annalise.

But I loved Lauraela. I was probably one of like a handful of people who did. At least the fanon version of them anyway. And the few crumbs of good interactions Karla and Aja were willing to give us. When Michaela started sacrificing her own well-being to help Laurel in canon, I wasn't really interested in them on screen anymore.

I’m a fic reader and writer, soooo, here is a list of fics I’ve read and LOVED and fics I’ve written that I'm proud of!

Blue series by Amazing Aida: An awesome Shadowhunters AU where Simon and Raph are both vampires and must get married due to old vampire customs.

livin’ just to find emotion by @joanthangroff /pettigrace: A Shadowhunters Glee AU! Yes, Glee as in the show where they randomly bursting into song and dance but I swear it's less random in this story.

Seocnd Meeting by Porcelain_Hell: A Percy Jackson and the Olympians Valdangelo fic! Nico and Leo were childhood friends that meet again as roommates in a school for “troubled kids”. 

Just Acting by tlea: A classic fake dating AU! This is a Descendants Jaylos fic where Carlos lies to Jane and says that he and Jay are dating in order to stop her advances and of course, it all goes downhill from there.

Pine-ing for your attention by frostedgoddess: A Descendants Jaylos AU where Carlos sells Christmas trees so naturally, Jay has to buy them. (Like all of them.)

Field Guide to Werewolf Mating Behavior (grudgingly compiled by Brett Talbot but whatever) by AvaRosier: A Teen Wolf fic where Brett takes the saying “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” to a whole new level. He and Hayden become best friends which leads to shenanigans.

Empathy Link by tozierzzz: Liam, Brett, and Mason hunt a dark witch that’s been murdering teenagers, but one of them gets kidnapped which leads to more danger and more drama.

Families of Choice by Obsessivecompulsivereadr: A story that finally shines a light on the underappreciated Luke Garroway and his relationships with others.

A while as in the entire time? by @biffbang /BIFF1: A Teen Wolf Brett/Mason fic where Mason finally realizes that Brett definitely knows Mason has a thing for lacrosse playing werewolves ;)

Extra Marshmallows series by dametokillfor: The Force Awakens StormPilot AU where BB8 is Poe’s daughter and he and Finn are together and everything’s absolutely adorable.

Welcome to Middleton series by JKelly i.e. me: A HTGAWM, Coliver high school AU. It may have been done before, but the two stories in this series are my most popular and well received works and have the msot comment which is just really wonderful to me!

I rewatched the first season of HTGAWM last week and god that was some GOOD tv. Annalise was everything (bi black woman who actually got to explore that and feel everything without being made out to be hysterical or super humanly strong? inject it!) and those five were a mess. Still don’t believe she did all that to save them (even Michaela my fave) because they were so ungrateful and nasty. I didn’t want to continue because as much as I loved Eve the show lost me after the whole Wes thing. It unravels a little near the end but season one is terrific for the mystery alone.

I rarely ever re-watch shows (idk if that's a neurospicy thing or what...because I never re-read books either lol), I usually rewatch individual episodes I know I like, out of order.

Annalise was one of the few times we got to watch a BW be mean as hell, but also vulnerable. Her anger and frustrations were justifiable. I will say I also hated how often the K5 treated her like a mammy to fix their messes for them, only for their ungrateful asses to turn on her in the final season and pin the murders on her. I don't know why the writers did that. I feel like it was because they didn't know what else to do with Michaela and Connor's characters, specifically. Like outside of romance drama.

The writers had a bad habit of writing themselves into corners.

They did it with Wes' death, Michaela's cheating plot, and Frank's plot. Because as soon as I learned that Alfie didn't even WANT to leave the show, and they wrote him out anyway, I knew they did it because they didn't know what else to do with his character and thought this would cause a boost in the ratings. And yeah, it did. Then people said they'd stop watching. And then they suddenly realized that people actually LIKED Wes (who was the anchor of the show next to Annalise), and spent the entire next season teasing that he might come back because they realized they fucked up. Like how are you gonna write his character off, realize you fucked up, and then beg him to come back for flashback scenes?

I loved that show. I loved Annaleve and Lauraela and all the mess. But the writing towards the end was atrocious.
