Ive been studying Irish for years but I'm struggling to get past A1-A2 because i have nobody to practice with and it's very hard to find people where i am. there's paid apps that can help you find language partners but i am broke and Irish isn't a commonly available language on them. I've had an idea to get around this, but for it to be worth trying to set I'd need at least a few people with carried levels of 'fluency' to be interested.
the idea is to set up an Irish language discord. it would have roles for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and native speakers. there would be text chats with different topics and voice chats where people can talk to each other. it would just be a space where people trying to learn can speak and practice with each other.
i really only need a few other people for this to be worth it, and ideally at least one person who'd fit the advanced or native speaker role. if you'd be interested in joining this discord for practice, please let me know and if i get enough responses, I'll set it up and let people know
learning English is my main hobby now, and that's embarrassing how I can read pretty well, can translate English fanfics or videos into my native language, but in the same time I need SO MUCH TIME FOR WRITE A SIMPLE MESSAGE IN ENGLISH 😭😭😭 that's because of the lack of writing and speaking practice (I don't have English speaking friends at all) and it irritates me fr I'm feeling dumb
I'd really love to chat with native speakers but I'm too shy
gonna try to post little updates of spanish practice i do throughout the week to hold myself accountable for actively using spanish when i’m too afraid to speak with someone. corrections i’ve made in blue are from revisiting my previous notes and/or from the internet so feel free to correct me if they are e wrong OR if i need to fix anything else.
for this paragraph: the sentences have no relation to each other. just writing to write. and yes i’m purposefully using the present tense in the second sentence.
other notes: frustrated by how many little details i’ve forgotten :,) (muy vs mucho, ser vs estar, etc.) i feel like a beginner which i know isn’t bad, but i feel like i have to constantly prove myself. to who? idk. just how it feels.
I need prompts what to talk about when practicing speaking my target languages. But not like writing prompts because they are too difficult for that. Any ideas? Any ideas where to get prompts from?
