we talk a lot about lwj having this anxiety about wei ying putting himself in danger, of him having this deep-rooted fear of losing wei ying again.

i do think he'd have that sort of anxiety, for sure! though considering how trustworthy he is of wei ying's abilities to do dangerous things (using a paperman to spy on jgy, guiding nmj's resentful corpse to the coffin when even lxc got worried it'd be dangerous, etc), i think it wouldn't be as bad as the fandom generally believed

but also! we all kind of overlook the deliciousness of wei ying having that anxiety over losing lan zhan, and not even realizing

LWJ was obviously not an available target, but LXC and NHS were. The player could participate in killing WWX, and I think the tutorial said how this was super difficult.

Towards the end of the tutorial/fic, there was a part 2 published that covered the events after WWX's death, and if the player was close to/dating NHS he'd confide in her after his brother's death. If the player lived in Cloud Recesses because she bought a house there or was married to LXC, then she might meet A-Yuan, but only if she didn't participate in WWX's death, because otherwise LWJ would never let her see his son.

I am looking for a very specific fic - wangxian, xuanli at the very least - takes place post-Sunshot. At one point (I believe during the Phoenix Mtn hunt) someone targets JXN but force-feeding his dog a magic core stone which causes it to grow into a massive dog yao and WWX and JXN have to fight it off together. Later one of JXN's other dogs is force-fed a core stone while a whole load of cultivators are trapped in a building and JXN has to stick his hand in its mouth to pull the stone out. Pretty sure JGY and SMS were behind all the plots/shenanigans.

It's a wangxian fic with wei ying being the bottom. There is mpreg but I'm not sure it's is omegaverse or not. There is a suprise reveal later after the pregnancy is announced that wei ying is pregnant with TRIPLETS. I think lan zhan or lan qiren faint when this is revealed. All I remember was that it was the beginning of the cloud recesses lectures and, instead of sneaking in and getting into a romantic sword fight under the moonlight with his soul mate, wwx is already a little drunk and instead ends up slipping while climbing the wall and falling on his head. Lwj finds him immediately and wwx has a very serious head injury and so has to spend some time in the infirmary. Oh heres another thought I should probably have in the diary lol. I realized my issue with the way the characters are drawn / styled in the donghua and manhua and drama. So here's the thing. The principles of character design are at odds with the reality of that world.

Sizhui and Jingyi and the rest of the lan disciples wore essentially the same clothes and styled their hair the same way. That's part of training. We are a military society and each clan is running their own little stupid bootcamp. But for character design purposes each character needs to look unique and recognizable, thus they add things to make it clear who's who. This is because irl the way I would identify one over the other would be through their face and stature and everything but that doesn't come through in an anime. And then the live action is selling the aesthetics and beauty to you so they add frivolous elegance and style that wasnt actually there.

Thats not just the lan either. I know my disciples and I would be dressed basically identically. I had extra stuff as head disciple and Jiang cheng did too as clan heir but other than that we all dressed and styled ourselves basically the same. Jiang sect had more freedom so we didnt all wear that super tight bun but you get the gist.

It's a military strategy. Because see on night hunts like technically a fierce corpse doesnt give a shit what sect youre from but thats not who youre actually at war with. Youre at war with the other sect representatives and rogue cultivators that are there. Thus you want to appear as a unified front and be easily recognizable.

Of course as people got older they styled themselves differently.

Another problem is the opulence. The Jin maybe but other sects, not really.

Of course people would wear whatever the hell they wanted during training and during free time. Lots of mostly naked boys running around lotus pier doing sword forms lol. Training clothes were more like an inner robe and trousers. A lot of the Jiang ones were brown for whatever reason? In the lan sect you were expected to be pretty and presentable everywhere though. -_- sweating through white robes isnt actually that great of a look guys.

I preferred cheap black robes that I could get anywhere. Lan Zhan wore a bit of silk and Jiang cheng wore a LOT of silk when he was older. He had this purple robe with a round collar?

For someone who loved fashion then and loves fashion even more now I sure dressed like a bum LOL I just didnt see the point most of the time

Things I desperately need really well written fanfic of, especially multi-chaptered epics:

- nie husaisang being a mastermind and unique cultivator and the best (bc jgy is the worst) and just...that. all the huaisang depth and plot and nuance.

- yes lan zhan has the Trauma and is In Mourning as a Widower but his son means everything and he would never deny his son experiencing a parent's happiness or joy, and would never want his child to think that he is responsible for lan zhan's sadness so he works to make sure that's never the case. It might be HARD, and that love and happiness takes new shapes, and grief doesn't just vanish BUT he knows feeling happiness again for his son is not wrong, & doesn't dishonor his grief or minimize it. His smile isn't the same but he does smile. He never replaces the love he is mourning for all those years, but he does still love. he made a vow! A promise all those years ago about his principles with Wei Ying!! And now that war is over, he's painfully young and inexperienced about normalcy and babies but has seen far too much in his lifetime. Still, he is the Best Dad Ever. ....then it ends in wangxian.
