Leaving - Soryu Oh x MC x Makoto Morimachi
A/N: It’s finally here!! The other fan fic i was planning to write but didn’t get chance to finish cause of work. Thank you to yuzunishikawa for their input on the two characters for this story! I hope you guys like it 🤓
Y/N and Soryu have been together for five years. Throughout these years the two have been trying to conceive a child but they weren’t lucky. Y/N wanted to adopt but Soryu was stubborn and wanted to have his own flesh and blood to raise. He always made Y/N feel bad, “This is unfair.” He muttered.
There were tears running down Y/N’s face. Her husband wasn’t like this before. He was always supportive and he was always there for her. When they found out that there was a low possibility for them to have a child, he comforted her. He always told her that it was okay and that she shouldn’t worry.
However, times changed and so did he. He would act like nothing happened and would ignore Y/N’s presence. Y/N knew that this is because they couldn’t have a child and she’d blame herself for it. Although he’d still sleep on the same bed as her, the bed that used to feel warm when he was near, was cold as ice. Y/N often cried herself to sleep and she was always careful not to wake up her sleeping husband. She knew that there’s a problem that causing them to drift apart, but she can’t do anything about it.
One weekend their doorbell rang. The two looked at each other because they weren’t expecting a guest. “I’ll get it.” Y/N smiled. When she opened the door she saw a woman standing there looking nervous. “Is Soryu here?”
“Who are you and what business do you have with my husband?”
“Wait, husband? I’m ... His girlfriend...”
Y/N stood there frozen. She knew that they had a problem but why did he choose to run away and look for another’s comfort when he could’ve talked about it with his significant other. “Honey who’s at the door?” He called out and his eyes widened when he saw the woman at his doorstep. “What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you not to contact me anymore?” He gritted through his teeth. “Look, what we did is wrong and I think your WIFE should know about it. I’m pregnant.” The woman proclaimed.
Y/N didn’t know what to do. “You were having an affair behind my back? Soryu how could you do this?” She slapped him and forced herself to talk. “I think you two need to talk. We’ll talk later Soryu.” It was hard for her to breathe, she needed to leave the two of them and talk. She didn’t even have the energy to yell at him for cheating on her. She knew that in the back of her mind that he’ll eventually leave her now that he can finally achieve his dream of having a family.
She ran upstairs towards their bedroom and locked the door. She cried and cried until there were no more tears left. Y/N knew that whatever her husband chooses, there was no need to be with him anymore. They were supposed to be husband and wife, they were supposed to be in this together and they should always have each other’s back through this rollercoaster ride called life.
Y/N walked downstairs and saw her husband sitting on the table, when he saw her he stood up. “Y/N... I just want to let you know that I’ll be there for my child but I’ll always be here for you as your husband.”
“There’s no need for that.” She stated. “We both know how much you wanted a child of your own. I know how the child will make you happy and they’ll need their father to be there for them, but you don’t need me anymore.”
“What are you saying Y/N?” He was shocked. He didn’t want this but what else can he do now? He made a mistake and made his wife sad.
“Let’s get a divorce.”
A shiver ran down his spine. There was no more light or love visible in her eyes. He really hurt her. He hurt that woman that loved him with her whole heart. “I’m sorry Y/N... This isn’t how I wanted it to be.”
“Save it. What’s done is done. I’ll pack my things...” He watched her pack. He had a flashback of their happy days. He loved her, and maybe he still does but he didn’t want to hurt her more now that he has a child on their way.
Y/N had no more tears left, she doesn’t want to cry anymore. Yes, it hurts, but what else can she do at this point? She couldn’t conceive a child which led her husband to have fun with someone else. “I’m sorry I couldn’t give you the one thing you’ve always wanted. I hope you’ll be happy with your child. Goodbye Soryu, thank you for all the happy memories... And thank you for the painful ones as well.” Y/N left the house without looking back. She didn’t want to look at her husband. The next time she’ll see him is when they settle their divorce.

Could you write drabble where Soryu cheers up a sad MC? I'm having a bit of a rough day... Thanks
Rainy Day BluesSoryu Oh x MCRating: Aww
I’ve been hit with a bad week. Extra shifts at hotel, at least two guests filing false complaints because they didn’t get what they wanted (including me in their beds), almost getting kidnapped by a guest to accompany them to the auction when I wasn’t supposed to be there and, to top it all off, getting splashed by a passing car in the pouring rain. I’ve come home worse than the most soaked rag imaginable. I guess this is how it feels to be an unlucky dog. I’m in the pits and even my best friends and coworkers couldn’t help me. I’ve showered and planned to do nothing but binge watch my shows and trash eat. I thank my lucky stars Eisuke and the others had my back, but I didn’t want to be anymore of a burden to them so I requested the weekend off because I just couldn’t take it anymore. I was afraid I would snap and make things worse for them when all they did was look after me.
I’m feeling a little chill run through me, but thinking I’m just really tired, I go and fix myself some tea and hunker down for the weekend. I’m about to start my show when I get a call. “Oh…” It’s my boyfriend, Soryu. I wonder what it could be about. “Hello.”
“Hey.” That gruff voice of his could settle all my worries and I sink into my couch in relief. “You okay?”
I start to cough but recover quickly. “Yeah, I’m fine. Why do you ask?”
“Ota and Baba kept talking about one of the auction guests trying to get you to be their date.” I could see it now: stern look, mind quick to go for that gun he always carries. Wonder what else they told him… oh boy…
“It’s okay, nothing happened,” I said, hands he couldn’t see waving him off. “It’s just been a really busy week at the hotel, that’s all.”
That heavy sigh. Come on, let it go. I was the one that almost got dragged off to some stranger’s room a couple times. “No one better have laid a hand on you.” Stupid brain! Why are you so loud! My prolonged silence earned me an earful of “why didn’t you call me as soon as possible” and “who was it so I could talk with them.”
“Please, Soryu. I just need-“ I couldn’t stop the coughing this time. Nor did I realize how hot it suddenly got after seeing I didn’t drink my tea yet.
“What’s wrong?” Now the genuine worry has set in and all I’ve done was cause trouble again.
“N-nothing, really! I’ll be fine,” I say between coughs. “I just need rest. I’ll be back at work in no time.” The rain wasn’t letting up so I was definitely not going anywhere. Taking a deep breath, after the coughs finally subsided, I said to the mobster, “It’s raining really hard so I don’t plan to go anywhere. I just need tea and my blankets and I’ll be fine.”
“It’s Summer and you need blankets?” Crap, this isn’t going to go well. “I’ll be over as soon as I can.” And he hung up.
Heaving a sigh, all I could feel is that of a burden. Soryu was a member of the Ice Dragons mafia and always working hard to see his group succeed in their plans. The last thing I wanted was for him to take off and take care of me. Now that my tea was cold, I decided to go and heat it up. But, a sudden dizzy spell takes over me and I did my best to save the mug, but not myself as I collapse onto the floor. The room goes dark as it spins all around me.
**********
Ugh… I wake up, head pounding, throat raw and chest and nose congested so bad, I almost choked on air. Wait… something is covering me… Rubbing my eyes, I see I’m on my couch with a blanket over me. The sounds of movement in the kitchen gets me awake but my body is in too much pain to move much.
Soryu comes with fresh mugs of tea and sets them on the coffee table. “Good to see you’re awake,” he said as he looked me over. Worry set that strong visage of his in a mood that rips at my heartstrings.
“You didn’t have to come,” I say in a raspy voice. I try my best to sit up but he comes over and helps me, fixing pillows at my back.
“You were passed out on the floor with a high fever,” he said to me as he hands me the mug. The aroma of ginger and lemon strong. “Drink this. Did you get caught in the rain?”
Sees right through me before I could even think it. Mug in both hands, I have no strength to fight him. “And splashed by a passing car.” Avoiding his gaze, I feel helpless and guilty he’s dropped whatever he’s been doing to come and take care of me. I’m waiting to be scolded when all I got was a pat on the head. Looking up, I saw gentle eyes and a soft smile. “You’re not mad at me?”
He sighed and tousled my hair. “I am, but I can’t stay mad when all you did was go to work.” Brushing his hand through his hair, Soryu looked to the side and said “You have to speak up when something feels off before it gets that way. Don’t be afraid to ask for help.”
I sip the tea and it fills me with warmth, feeling better with each sip. “I know. I just-“
“If you say that you don’t want to be a burden, asking for help is not being a burden. Saving your butt might be, according to the Book of Mamoru, but you’re one of us now. And we look after each other.” I’m expecting that stern look on his to beam down on me, but all I get is the look of the man that I love loving me back in return. “Drink your tea,” he tells me and I nod in compliance as he stands up brings over a bag. “Here.”
“Hmm?” Setting the mug down, the bag placed on my lap, he walks off back to the kitchen. Inside were books and movies. “What’s all this?”
“Inui wouldn’t shut up when I said something happened to you. Almost broke the door down when we arrived. Samejima picked the lock so we’ll have to replace the lock. They wanted to stay but I told them no.” Hearing that made me smile. It’s never a dull moment when it involves them. Bless their hearts. I can barely smell anything but is that more ginger? Soryu emerges again with a tray that had a bowl on it. “When was the last time you ate?”
Now that I thought about it, it must have been during my break at work that was the last time I ate. I didn’t even think about what to have for dinner other than popcorn and other snack items. Hearing my stomach growl was the last straw and I sheepishly smile as I move the bag from my lap for the tray. “What’s this?”
“Chicken congee.” A simple bowl of rice gruel with chicken meat, ginger and scallions. It looked like heaven.
“Did you make this?” I tasted a bit and it’s simplicity gave me life.
“One of the chefs at the hotel did after I asked them to. There’s two more containers in the fridge and another serving on the stove when you’re ready.” Soryu picked up his mug and finally drank his tea as he sat at the other end of the couch.
“Surely you’re busy as it is. I could manage on my own.” I really didn’t want him to take time from his work just because I was sick.
“It’s fine. The others have their orders and will call if they have to. Eisuke gave you a week off. Said you’re no good to him dead so might as well take the time to get better.”
I smile, enjoying this delicious porridge. “I’ll have to make sure to thank him when I return to work.”
“You can thank him by not getting sick again is what he said for me to tell you.” We both chuckled at that. “So, what were you going to watch?”
“I’ve been recording the Bachelor for weeks because I couldn’t get to watch it…” I looked at my boyfriend and saw the look of disgust. “Hey, you bought me from a black market auction. How is my show any different?”
“I had to save your life to learn about love, not be bothered with a series of other women that were trying too hard.” Well, when you put it like that, it’s not as exciting to watch anymore. “I bought a bunch of movies but I can always call Inui and Samejima to bring more,” he said with a groan, knowing full they (more like Inui) would just worry about me more when they get here.
“Well, lets just watch what you brought then,” I said as I finish the porridge. “What about the book?”
“For when you sleep. I don’t want the tv on disturbing you.” Did he really think of everything? What planet is he from? “Stop looking at me like I’m an alien.”
I couldn’t help laughing, which led to the coughing. He took the tray from me and headed to the kitchen. “Pick a movie and you’re eating this other portion before you pass out again.”
I’m in no position to argue. A mix of genres from what he likes and what I like. And he really intends to stay with me the whole week? I better not ask and start thinking of that to tell the others when I get back to work. I’m feeling so much better now. I have hot food and movies and all the time in the world to spend with the man that I love. The rain can’t take that away from me. Nothing can.

Soryu Oh -Bully Me (Part 2)
Okay so I’m back again. Here’s a part 2.
This is a mix of two different requests.
One person who wanted a part two and a prompt-list request.
28- Shhh, be quiet. We can’t be too loud, babe.
69- Bend over this counter. I need to fill you up.
98- Sometimes it’s nice to just stargaze. It calms me down a lot.
101- Hm…why don’t you sit on my lap and tell me what you want.
110- That’s daddy to you, sweetheart.
READ PART 1 HERE
Leggo.
...
You’re gonna let me bully you ....
And bully you, he did.
Pressed up against the cold wall of his room completely bare, Soryu held your frail body in his arms. His lips feverishly claimed yours.
You work uniform was tossed who-knows-where and you undergarments were just random masses of fabric at this point.
“S-soryu! I have to get back to work.” you tried to express. He, who had been frantic, laughed in response.
“Not a chance. You’re mine today, maid.” he snarled playfully. He undid his tie and slung it around your neck, fastening it into his signature Full Windsor knot. You were now wearing nothing but a silk lavender neck tie. The way he called you that name. Maid...it made you feel so dirty.
“Maid.”
Soryu had gotten your attention. He was now sitting on the edge of his bed. He was leaned back, propped up on one arm. “Get over here.”
You could only smile. Every day since that incident he hadn’t gone back on his word. He etched his mark on every area of your skin in the form of bruises and bites. You quickly made your way over, only to have your forbidden lover trace his fingertips up your sides.
“Hm...Why don’t you sit on my lap,” he began, pausing to drink in your innocence. “And tell me what you want.”
Before you could answer. a harsh rapping against the door startled you both.
“AYE, SORYU. WHERE’S THE MAID!?” Baba’s voice called from the other side.
As if reading your mind, Soryu grabbed your arm. No way was he letting you put your clothes back onto clean up after whatever mess his accomplice made. In another swift motion, Soryu’s crisp dark grey blazer was wrapped around you.
You heard the door swing open and you felt your heard drop. You felt him crash his hot mouth over yours. The way his bed was angled, who ever walked in would be able to see your side profiles. So when Baba walked in, he was welcomed by a gun faces the door. His free hand firmly held you by the back of your head, still claiming your kiss, tongue and all.
“Woah!!” Baba couldn’t comprehend what he was looking at. You, the main were ass naked, on Soryu. The mobster broke the kiss, a thin line of saliva coming between you. He turned his head to glare at the intruder.
“Leave before I blow your head off.” he snapped.
“Damn. And here I thought you were a stiff. Nice legs Y/N.” Baba winked before Soryu could consider actually shooting his ‘friend’. The door slammed again and you could only sigh.
“I should go. I still have to clean Mr. Ichinomyia’s room.” you begrudgingly stood up and walked over to your uniform. You would just have to go without your bra and panties.
“I’m gonna kill him.” he sighed. “Come back later?”
“Mr.Oh...you know as well as I our relationship is purely professional.” you sauntered past him. Ever since then, you had gotten bold. Very bold.
He loved it.
“Damnit, Y/N...you’re killing me.”
...
You were exhausted. You had been dodging those damn bidders all day. It was unbearable. It was nightfall by the time you had finished everything. You threw the mop down, wishing you could snap it in half.
You didn’t know what it was, but you were content with yourself when you used your keycard to go to Soryu’s penthouse floor. You were sure he was asleep anyways but it was worth checking.
When the elevator doors opened, you saw Soryu standing by the balcony. “Mr. Oh?”
The usually collected man turned in surprise. “Y/N! What are you doing here?”
“I was finished with my work. Just thought I’d let you know before I head home. “ you pulled the excuse out of your ass. “You’re still awake?”
“Yes. Sometimes it’s nice to just stargaze. It calms me down a lot. “  he shrugged. “Especially being around those morons....Come here.” He shut the curtains behind him and you took a step forward. The elevator doors shut behind you. “Did any of them mess with you?”
“...Baba told Ota about our little meeting.” you hugged yourself, suddenly feeling cold. “Didn’t let me hear the end of it.”
“I thought as much.” he sighed. “I’m gonna kill those two! Did they touch you?”
You instantly shook your head, which made him smile. “Good, come here. I’m glad I wasn’t there, I probably would have done something to you right in front of them...”
“Oh...Like what?” you asked, tilting your head to the side. With another smirk, he marched up to you, reaching under your skirt to rest one of his hands on your ass. “You’re still not wearing any...”
“I didn’t have time to change.”
There was darkness in his eyes. His normally stone cold expression was replaced by something you couldn’t read. He raised his arm slighting and held his finger out to the kitchen counter, his free hand unlacing his tie.”
“You’re going to bed over, hike that skirt up, and hold your arms behind your back.”
“Mr. Oh...” you breathed feeling your insides twist.
“That’s daddy to you, sweetheart. “

Trash to Treasure - Eisuke Ichinomiya x reader
Chapter One
Chapter 2 3 4
This is angsty at first but gets better in the end I guess. Ignore any errors :)
TW: Contains death at the start and some dark and possibly depressing thoughts at some points.
My feet pounded against the ground and my lungs burned and ached at the lack of oxygen I was getting. I looked like I had lost my mind due to the mascara that made it way down my cheeks.
Please be okay!
The hospital soon filled my vision. The sprint there felt like decades yet it was only a few minutes. Ambulances lines the outside of the large building. I legged it through the automatic doors which I almost ran into from how slow they opened. I scanned the room for the main desk before swiftly making my way over and spitting out my mothers name. After receiving the information I needed to find her I made my way deeper into the labyrinth of a hospital.
My eyes glazed at every name plate outside the patient rooms before I finally recogniced my own last name. I shoved the door open and the tears that had barely stopped started again.
'She could die. Please dont die. I need you. Please, you're all I have.' My thoughts were wordless as the sobbing that echoed from me suppressed any words that tried to escape me.
I dropped beside her bed holding her hand. Her body was pale and skin clammy. My once strong mother who stood tall before me was lying lifeless in front of my own eyes and I couldn't handle it. More tears raced down my face and I could bare the sight so seeing her like this.
"Y/n?"
Her voice was quiet and hoarse. My heartstrings tugged as I struggled to look at her.
"Ma, please you cant die," I pleaded as if she could do something about her condition but the sad truth was that she couldn't.
"You're a strong girl, I know you'll be fine," she said with a sad smile.
"Dont say that. I need you, ma, please," I begged once more. "I swear I'll make whoever did this to you pay!" I cried harder at the thought. They're recklessness was about to take away the only person I had left away from me.
"They've suffered enough, y/n. I want you to focus on carrying out my will," she said softly.
"No! I wont. You cant die so I dont have to carry out your will. You'll live... please just live," I trailed off as more warm droplets fell from my bloodshot eyes.
My dear y/n,
Everything went blurry with my vision and before I knew it I had lost all of my family as I lay numbly in my bed for the 4th day straight. I stared at my mothers will, blankets wrapped around my body like a burrito.
If you're reading this it means I've passed on to my next life. I wish I could stay with you forever but unfortunately it was never going to be possible for me to do so. As alone as you feel right now you're not. Go the the address on the other side of the letter and look for Eisuke Ichinomiya then tell him you're my daughter. I love you more than life itself my darling daughter, please dont let me dying ruin you. You're filled with potential so flourish and I know you can improve the life of many despite the challenges you've faced and continue to face.
Love, mum.
I barely wanted to exist. I didnt want to feel this pain. Why did she have to leave? I wanted to give up. The thoughts spiraled more and more. My eyes watered once more but before the tears fell a vibration brought me out of my darkness. I shook the thoughts away as I stared at the phone that I had buzzed with a notification from the news app; some celeb got engaged. Life goes on despite my misery. People were out there moving forward, living life and being happy.
Only then had I realised what I had come to. I was spiraling and didnt realise it despite how obviously my will had given out. I couldn't carry out the most simple of tasks. The thought of my mother seeing me like this hurt me more than words could describe.
I cant let her down or hurt her. She put so much effort into helping me. Throwing it all away and betraying her will would break me. The only thing she wanted was for me to be happy. She was never selfish and I need to carry this task out.
I dragged my body out of bed and slowly made my way to the shower. Gagging at the stench that had developed over the past days, I stripped and got dressed. The only thing keeping me going was the motivation to carry out my mothers wishes. It didnt seem like a lot but it was enough to get me ready for day that was to come.
Before I knew it I was squinting at the bright light that bombarded my sight as I left the house where my mother and I used to reside happily.
After adjusting to the light I plugged in my earphones and followed the directions on my phone while repeating my motives for this mission.
Before I knew it I stood in front of a luxurious hotel. I suddenly felt under dressed and small in comparison to the fancy people walking with their head held high in the grand lobby. This place was high end and I had no idea how or why my mother would send me to a place like this. Maybe the address is wrong. However, come to think of it Ichinomiya did sound familiar. I doubt she could know anyone famous though. She would have bragged about it non stop surely. She wouldn't play some sick prank on me either, would she? No, I trust her. This must be the right place.
An aggressive throat clearing caught my attention. A tall brunette stood before my with glaring hazel eyes.
"Is there a reason your in front of my hotel?" He practically growled. If looks could kill I would be with my mother in the next life right now.
"S-sorry. I'm just looking-" before I could finish my sentence he had moved on but before he left he ensured to tell me to stop littering in front of his hotel. Littering? Did he just call me trash?!
"Stuck up bitch," I mumbled loud enough for only me to hear. I turned back to the hotel questioning whether to go in at this point especially after getting insulted by the owner himself.
Weighing the pro and cons in my head I was once again disrupted by this time by my stomach rumbling. I had barely eaten the past few days from grief and it I definitely didnt intend on looking for someone I didnt even know on an empty stomach. With that I wandered to the nearest cafe and ordered something to eat and drink.
As I sat down with my food, I started planning how to tackle this as the name Ichinomiya resurfaced in my mind. Why was it familiar?
Did I go to school with an Ichinomiya? I dont think I did. So I did what any other person would do.
I pulled my phone out as I sipped my drink every now and again. My fingers tapped away quickly into the google search bar. Several results came up. The words billionaire and CEO came up on my screen. Why the hell did ma tell me to look for this dude? Well maybe he wont be that hard to find I thought as I checked the images while taking one final sip of my drink. The pictures loaded and the liquid that was previously in my mouth now scattered the walls. Several eyes glanced and glared at me yet their judgement meant nothing compared to the man I saw on my screen.
Looks like I already found Eisuke Ichinomiya and I dont think we were fond of each other in the slightest.

The Assassins [Hikaru Aihara] Chapter 3
Tumblr media
“Oh, is that all? I figured as much.”
“What’s with you? You’re not even surprised. Or are you too stupid to comprehend your situation?” Hikaru thought he was insulting me, but I couldn’t care less.
“I knew from the day I became the Mad Hatter’s assistant that you were in league with him. You were playing the Mad Hatter that day.”
“How did you-…”
“Even if you put all that makeup on and disguise your voice, I can’t be fooled.” Hikaru watched carefully as I came to a stop a few feet away from him. I looked up at him with clear eyes and a stoic expression. “This is who you really are. In Dubai, when you were so nice to everyone… It was an act,” I said matter-of-factly.
“And if it was?” Hikaru asked in an attempt to provoke me.
“Many of the staff admired you for your so-called kindness. To them you seemed like the perfect hotel worker.”
“Oh?”
“Argh!”
I suddenly found herself pressed up against the wall behind me. There was a loud thud as Hikaru’s fist punched the wall next to me. His other hand pinned my wrist next to my face.
“So what? Did you fall in love with me?” Hikaru asked, but I turned my face away, keeping my mouth shut. “Tell me the truth, say you want me.”
“Idiots. People who fell for your facade are all idiots,” I retorted.
“You’ve got a smart mouth. Maybe I should silence it.” Hikaru’s hand on my wrist tightened while his other moved to my neck. My eyes squeezed shut and I grimaced.
“You’re an idiot. You should’ve just made that face in the first place. Don’t worry. I won’t kill you… yet. I have use for you. And since you’re cute, maybe more than one.”
I opened my eyes. “It hurts…”
Hikaru quickly let go of my wrist. I let my arm fall limply at my side and positioned my head so my bangs would fall in front of my eyes.
“You’re smarter than you look. That’s actually pretty dangerous.”
“There’s nothing I don’t know.” I finally looked up to glare menacingly at him.
“Is that any way to talk to your master? I could kill you just like that,” Hikaru threatened.
“Then I’ll be dead and will no longer care.”
“Master, I’m going to leave for the day!” the Mad Hatter called out before Hikaru could respond.
“Go ahead. Good job,” Hikaru replied.
The Mad Hatter bowed his head and quickly left through the hidden door.
“You bought out his contract.”
“That’s right. Anyway, starting today, you’re my pawn. And you’re going to give me information about the auction managers.”
“Is that a fact?”
“You think you can even say no to me in this point?”
I smirked. “Take a look at the signature.” Hikaru went over to where I left the contract. The signature I made didn’t read ‘Hotaru’. It read ‘Alice’. “My name is Hotaru. So that contract is null and void.”
“Why you little--“
“Nevertheless I’ll play your game. I’m curious. Just don’t come crying to me when it blows up in your face.”
And so it was decided that I’d be Hikaru’s ‘pawn’. Playing a double agent, I would find out everything and end the threat he posed to my company.
“What’d they talk about today?” Hikaru asked me.
“About when the medal from the House of Tudor will be delivered.” I relayed information I knew was safe. Information that he couldn’t use against the auction managers.
“That the French government secretly had in its possession?” Hikaru asked.
I nodded. “Working undercover at the auctions, you should have already known that.”
“I did. Unlike you, I don’t have an easy life where I get to sit around on my ass and listen to people talk all day.”
“I don’t like talking to people. Or you.”
“I never wanted you to like me in the first place. You should be on your hands and knees thanking me for letting you come and go freely.”
“No, you should be thanking your stars I’m curious enough to help you. For now...”
“Regretting it? It’s too late now, you’re mine.” Hikaru’s words sent a shiver down my spine.
“I don’t belong to you,” I retorted.
“I think you protest too much. I bet if I just…” Hikaru stood, stalking towards me.
I stayed rooted to the spot, my arms crossed, while Hikaru’s fingers reached out and skimmed my shoulder, tracing their way down the edge of my shirt, towards the centre of my chest. That was as far as he got before I closed my eyes in annoyance and punched his chin.
“Idiot.” I retreated into my bedroom and slammed the door shut.
“Master, it’s time!” I heard the Mad Hatter’s voice.
“I’ll be right there.”
A few moments passed and someone knocked on Nichole’s door.
“Let us have some tea, Alice! I already made us a pot,” the Mad Hatter called to me.
I opened the door and seated myself across him at the table.
“Why do you work for him?” I found myself asking.
“It’s just as Master said. He provides me momentary assistance,” the Mad Hatter replied.
“You’re lying. You don’t care about money.” I gazed at him with piercing eyes that could surely see through anyone.
The Mad Hatter was visibly shaken by my statement.
“Master saved me,” he said after a pause.
“Is that so?”
“And then I was reborn. From that day forward, I decided to serve him as my master.”
“I see.”
“I owe Master my life.” The Mad Hatter smiled happily while I merely nodded.
It had been several days since I had ‘signed’ the contract.
“Hikaru’s late…” I muttered as I sat and drank tea that evening in the tea room.
“Yes… His job wasn’t supposed to take this long… I do hope he’s alright…” the Mad Hatter replied.
“You waited for me?” Hikaru emerged from the hidden door and arrogantly raised an eyebrow. I looked at him, acknowledging his presence, but said nothing. “Aren’t you a good servant, waiting faithfully here to give me your report. Or are you waiting for your goodnight kiss?”
“What do you know about Eisuke?” I suddenly asked.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Hikaru asked, taken aback by my sudden question.
“I’m asking you what you know about him that makes you so confident you can overpower him.”
“I have a room in Ichinomiya’s hotel that he doesn’t even know exists. I’ve bought the loyalty of his auctioneer. And his little sister is working for me now. I know way more about Ichinomoiya than you do. A billion times more.”
“I see,” I closed my eyes, “What is it you think you know? You’re dumber than a pre-schooler. You don’t know anything.”
“Shut up,” Hikaru snapped at me.
“You don’t know anything. And you never will. So tell me, what do you want? Why are you doing this?”
“Because…” Hikaru trailed off. I laced my fingers together and rested my chin on top as I waited expectantly for him to continue. Hikaru looked away, staring off into the distance. “My earliest memory is a bloodstained carpet. There was a terrorist attack at a party I went to with my parents. My mother was fatally wounded, but as she was dying she shielded me with her body. I was the only one there who survived. The Ichinomiya Group was behind it. The host of the party had betrayed Ichinomiya, who then decided to teach everyone there a lesson.” I listened intently. “I was sent off to an orphanage and my life was miserable until a girl my age befriended me. I wanted to protect her. But Ichinomiya took her in to be a maid only to treat her like a slave!” Tears welled up in Hikaru’s eyes. My expression, however, didn’t falter.
“I see…” She closed her eyes again.
“Is that what you wanted to hea-…”
“If you want to lie, think of a more convincing story. Honestly...” I stood up and retreated into my room, thoroughly annoyed.

A Wonderland of Pleasure (NSFW)
Fandom: Kissed by the Baddest Bidder (Voltage)
Pairing: Rhion Hatter x MC (Female) This fic was for one of my contest winners, @promisefairy ! I hope this lives up to your expectations and that you enjoy! You were so sweet to chat with, and a huge thank you for joining my giveaway contest as well! 💖
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beads of water trickled down onto MC’s mane, slowly dribbling down her body while she sighed in the shower. Time had seemed to halt and she was at a standstill lingering as seconds passed into minutes since she was impatiently waiting for her lover Rhion to return from the penthouse. Her facial features were clouded in the shape of a pout because this morning was the morning that her and Rhion were supposed to have spent the hours in bed together-that is until Eisuke sent Baba and Ota into their shared quarters to summon the Mad Hatter when he had turned off his phone to woo his Alice and had failed to be reached. A faint crimson flushed her cheeks at the memory of the compromising position the two bidders had found them in.
Water splashed onto the walls of the shower as MC shook her head to erase that distasteful vision from earlier out of her mind. Thanks to the interruption of the auction managers, their alone time had to be postponed. That didn’t stop her from suffering in the misery of her pented up horniness though in the meantime. Biting her lip, MC was about to reach down to touch herself for some sort of relief to tide her over when she heard a surprising banging coming from the entryway of their home.
Rhion’s back!
“Darling? MC, I’ve returned,” Rhion’s honeyed voiced rang pleasantly.
The door to the bathroom flew open and his clothing was discarded onto the floor almost in tune to the blink of MC’s eye. He sauntered on into the shower, and instantly encircled her into his embrace. She relaxed into him, sighing at the rapid attack of his lips lightly grazing the smoothness of her skin.
“Shall we finish where we left off this morning, my dear Alice?” he purred, playfully nipping at her earlobe. “I can tell by the way your eyes are begging me you’ve been waiting for me. Such a good girl you’ve been. Tell me, has my good girl already started the party without me?”
Her cheeks bloomed at his implication. Surely, he couldn’t possess a mind reading power now, could he? The innocence of MC’s reaction and the non-denial was enough of a confirmation for Rhion to assume his presumption was correct. A beautiful imagery of MC playing herself flashed in his mind, and the formed erection he was sporting had grown harder at the mere dirty thought.
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about,” Rhion whispered breathily, his hot breath blowing a reassurance into her ear. “But admit it. Admit that you want me. Tell me that my Wonderland is the only you will ever seek.”
Tilting his head, Rhion angled to try and kiss MC. However, since she was still feeling a tad bit annoyed that her man left her all alone this morning, an impromptu decision was made-it was her turn to take charge and rile him up for once. Denying his lips by burrowing her head in the nape of his neck, MC’s tongue flickered the sensitive spot on his neck, while her hands traced the cut muscles of Rhion’s abdomen, descending further south to reach the incredible heat of his arousal. A carnal groan pursed through the crease of Rhion’s lips as the slender fingers curled around the thick of heat that was pressing against her own thigh.
“You’re right,” MC huffed, sinking down onto her knees. “Your Wonderland is the only I’ll ever crave. Now allow me to lose myself in our own little version of reality.”
Glancing up to lock herself onto Rhion’s gaze, MC’s mouth encompassed the hardness of his length. He groaned out in a pure delight when the warmth he had long grown accustomed to, aligned in the sync of her seasoned movements, was pushing him beyond the brink of coherence. His angular fingers entangled around the locks of her damp hair, while the palm of his other pressed against the slippery shower wall to brace himself.
MC took her time as she slowly ran her tongue up and down his erection. Each caress delivered a sweet tantalizing blissful jolting a burst of lust that tingled his every nerve. It felt good-more like great, but it simply was no longer enough. In a frenzied craving to join their bodies in a different matter, MC yelped when Rhion suddenly reached down to lift her up and planted her back against the wall.
“You win this time, MC,” Rhion conceded, no longer caring about his initial agenda to toy with her.  “Let’s immerse ourselves in the high Wonderland has to offer together.”
MC enthusiastically nodded in anticipation, and mewled when Rhion’s fingernails dug into the contours of her curves. She willingly surrendered one of her legs around his waist and wrapped her arms around his neck. With a swift jerk forward, MC moaned as his heavenly affection intruded upon her in the best of ways. Each thrust Rhion delivered founded stars in her eyes. The way Rhion’s hips snapped in attention to indulge in each of her sensuous whelms was launching her closer into a dreamy euphoric state.
“Go harder, Rhion,” MC demanded with a whimper, pleadingly blinking at him for more.
“My girl is a greedy one,” Rhion smirked. “And if I go any harder, I might break you. Are you sure you can handle that possibility?” His tone was no longer teasing but forbidding. Rhion’s warning was legitimate. For he was genuinely concerned that he would past the point of being able to stop if he did resume at the pace MC longed for.
“I can handle it,” MC begged, fervently rocking herself to match the pace of his thrusts. “Please, I can handle it! Now hurry up because I want you to break me!”
MC had no idea just how much her yearning fanned the flames of Rhion’s inner desires. A savage awakened within him and that savage wanted nothing more than to ravage MC. An arch of his eyebrows was enough of a cue for MC to jump up into his arms and entrapped his waist close to her body with her legs. Rhion uttered an animalistic growl when she lowered herself down onto the proof of his passion. This new position permitted Rhion to penetrate her deeper. He buried into MC, each stroke of his immersing the two into their very own rapture world of wonder.
She bounced in rhythm to match his movements, arching her head back when Rhion’s mouth brushed along the smoothness her swaying breasts. His tongue gently caressed at the mound of flesh, paying special mind to the sensitive bud of her nipple while he claimed one of MC’s breasts in his mouth. Each whimper that escaped MC elicited Rhion to want to hark in more of those harmonious sounds. Turning the consideration of his lips to MC’s neck to leave a trail of his marks, Rhion’s fingers inched until they connected with the swell that educed a cry of pleasure from the woman he loved ever so.
The exquisite way Rhion stimulated her body soon proved to be too much for MC, sending pleasureful eruptions throughout her body as her walls finally resigned their final flutter. MC’s body sank into Rhion’s. He reached to turn the spigot on the shower off, while MC heavily panted in his arms. After a few seconds, she regained her breath and cupped his chin to draw him closer.
“I’m not nearly finished yet. I want to stay lost in Wonderland with you….perhaps for even indefinitely,” MC breathed, tracing the lines of Rhion’s lips with her thumb.
She had no idea what she was babbling about at this point, but fortunately Rhion didn’t seem to mind much. Throwing open the door of the shower, Rhion squeezed MC closer to him when she shivered from the cool air in the room grazing her skin and proceeded to take her to their bed. Placing her down on the mattress, Rhion stole a glance at the beautiful sight of her lying bare before him.
If his Alice was a drug, he would ride the waves of any high if it went they could escape away into their own Wonderland for the rest of their days.

Interrogation / Q & A
Title: Switching Places Interrogation / Q & A Fandom: Kiss By The Baddest Bidder & Metro PD: Close To You MPD’s MC: Mika HIJIKATA KBTBB’s MC: Mia SAKATA (reference) Characters: Eisuke, Soryu, Mamoru, Mia, Mika, Kirisawa
Summary:Got questions, here’re some answers
Background: Feel free to check out the summary for more details
★★★★★★★★★★★★★★
Q: Sorry to say I hate MIKAAAAAA, not your story though
Writer: Thank you, glad you don’t hate me, assuming you are an Eisuke’s fan, they are sort of alike, don’t you think? Mika and Eisuke.
Mika: Hey, I am not like him. I don’t cheat.
Q: Been following the switching places stories, why do you hate Eisuke so much?
Writer: (Eyes Widen) Where do I even begin? Here’s a line you’d see from the After Story- “He’s an ass!! No, I mean…he acts like an ass and he wants others to think so. He has succeeded tremendously! He irritates me! But I know that deep down he’s a good guy which annoys me more because for someone who craves honesty, he is not honest with himself. He’s just … freaking unbelievable!”
Q: Hi I kind of stalk through your whole blog, hope you don’t mind. Why do you like Mamoru so much? Is he your favorite?
Writer: (SHY) Did ya read his proposal story? In Soryu’s route, he struggles between Ice Dragons and MC but Mamo, -it’s always about her. He doesn’t think twice about it and in the (silly) sub story (Spy camera) the first thing he did was questioning himself if he did something wrong so the MC had doubt about him. Mamoru is the only one (not sure abt Baba & Ota) who mentions he plans to leave the auctions and goes back to his family (eventually), he tries not to interfere unless it’s necessary. But most of all, I love being spoiled and loved by the sweet old man. [ And yet Hyogo Kaga and Seiji Goto have got my heart ]
Tumblr media
Q: Mia is soooo stupid!!
Writer: People do stupid things when they’re in love, don’t they? Eisuke: Not me (Smirk) Mia: Eisuke is a good person Writer:  (Rolling eyes)
Q: You cheated on Mia, EISUKE!
Writer: (stare at Eisuke with amusement) Eisuke: I didn’t sleep with anyone Writer: Well perfect, then I can write an oral smut between Mia with another bidder, perfect Eisuke: (DEATH GLARE)
Q: How are you feeling Soryu, sorry about how Mika’s been treating you
Soryu: I am okay, thank you. (uncomfortable) She and I.. aren’t exactly an item.. and she’s doing her job I suppose
Q: SO …. Will Eisuke and Soryu get back together as best friends or is that friendship broken for good?
Eisuke: (Clicks his tongue) The only person I’m getting back together with is Mia (Soryu clears his throat)
Q: SO …. are you two friends or not?
Eisuke: Yes
Q: You have forgiven him?
Eisuke: (Pause for a long time) Soryu is a loyal friend
Q: Even after he almost chose her over you?
Dead silence Eisuke: But he didn’t, that’s all that matters. (The two men share a look)
Q: Mia, how could you choose Eisuke over your own sister?
Mia: I am sorry but… I love him very much
Q: You’ll give up your own sister for a man?
Mia: I didn’t give up on Mika
Q: But when the time comes?
Eisuke: Hypothetical question is fucking stupid
Q: Are you still in love with Mika?
Soryu: I wouldn’t … call it…I don’t know what “in love” is
Q: Have it ever occurred to you that Mia is the one you like? Have you always had feelings for her? Or did it start AFTER she wake?
(Eisuke quietly looks at his friend) Soryu: I don’t feel it when I see Mia, I mean ever since the real Mia’s returned, I don’t have the same feeling when I feel with Mika around.
Q: Then you are in love with her?
Soryu: (Dry laugh) Maybe, who cares what to call it.
Q: Why don’t you just go and tell her how you feel!
Soryu: Cux I don’t know how I feel
Q: Kirisawa! Do you like Mika or not? Why haven’t you asked her out yet?
Hiroshi: (Eyes wide) I… I plan to..just waiting for the right moment… more precisely I am still drafting the text to ask her out on a date…
Q: Will Mia find out about her sister and Eisuke? Writer: Ahhh, I am going to leave this to your imagination. She could have picked up some signs or watched through the whole thing when her man were enjoying his time between her sister’s thighs or maybe she’s so naive and blind that her man still seems to be perfect or no matter what happens, Mia will always love him unconditionally.
But hey I wanna ask you this- would you forgive Mika and Eisuke if you’re Mia when the truth’s unfold? Would you?
Q: So does Eisuke not want Mia? Does he just want Mika or both?
Writer: (look at Eisuke) Care to answer that yourself?
Eisuke: I only have one woman and her name is Mia Sakata
Q: When did you acknowledge that?
(Eisuke’s brows raised)
Writer: I think after what they’ve been through and what THEY ARE ABOUT to go through, Eisuke’s heart is set on her for good.
(Eisuke inhales deeply)
Q: How’s the new fic coming along?
Writer: I wrote 3 chapters, got some cool ideas here and there. Want death in the fic, haven’t gone that far yet so don’t know who to kill. Any suggestions? (wink)

It’s Electric! A Kissed By the Baddest Bidder Fan-Fic.
Okay, i have no idea where this idea came from, like, i have no clue. But I thought it was cute and something different than the tragedies that i recently been posting. So I hope that you enjoy!
“Ow!” you jump slightly as the feeling of a small electric shock goes through your finger just as you are going to sit down on the ruby red couch of the penthouse lobby. You sigh and then sit down next to a taller man in a silver suit, he turns his head and widens his blue eyes at you. “What?”
“What was that ‘ow’ for?” He asks you and you pout a little bit as he says that in a judging sort of way.
“The couch shocked me..” You mumble as you look away, your cheeks slightly heating from the embarrassment.
“Oh come on Sor...” You lift your gaze as you suddenly hear a different man walk into the room, and he lightly scolds the man that he addressed as Sor, or Soryu. “Don’t make fun of the delicate Princess.” he smiles and winks his light brown eye at you. It makes you chuckle. The man that just walked into the room takes off his black fedora, with a silver stripe, and places it gently over his heart.
“No need to do that, Baba..” You laugh as he makes a slow and steady bow. You watch as his light brown locks slowly bow along with him, and as he stands, they fall back. You watch as Baba sits nect to you on the couch, away from Soryu, and he just stares at you in a flirtatious way.
“Princess, did you get a haircut?” He asks and it makes your eyebrow raise and so does your top lip.
“No Baba, I did not...” You shake your head and slightly huff through your nose as you just reject his flirtatious attitude, not that this is a rare attitude coming from Baba. But he just doesn't give up.
“Well, something has to be different about you, your like a butterfly that is just taking flight...” you chuckle to yourself as that sounds rather silly to you. but you suddenly notice his hand slowly get closer to your ear, or to tuck a piece of hair around your ear. Just when you were about to gently move his hand away...
CRACK
“Ow Baba!” You have a slight chuckle as his finger had just touched the outside of your ear. He looks stunned for a moment as his hand slowly moves away from you, you lay your hand on your ear and just stare at Baba as he looks towards your ear.
“I didn't mean to hurt you Princess..” He pouts and then you shake your head.
“No no it is fine, i have been getting shocked all day..” You reply honestly. you lay your hand on your lap and then notice the small grin that has just curled on Baba’s lips. Your eyes go wide and your smile drops into a blank line. “Baba what are you doing.”
“Do you like games Princess?” He ask you and you immediately stand up and moves away from him quickly. He stands up and looks at you with a kind smile as he begins to rub his hand against the couch that you two were just sitting on, his hand quickens against the arm of the couch as you could almost see the static electricity flowing into Baba’s hand.
“Baba no.”  You point at him and he slowly lifts his hand away from the arm of the chair, hearing the crackling sound of the friction as they depart. Baba...” you warn and he just smiles as he chuckles.
“Give me a hug Princess!” he says and then begins to chase you around the lobby. you run as fast as your legs can carry you. You are running away from a thief after all, you know someone who has been running from the police for years!
“Baba!” You shout as you are about to run towards the elevator. When you get to the door, it opens and you stop on a dime as you see the owner of the hotel begin to walk out of the sliding silver doors. You quickly look behind you as Baba is reaching out towards you. You take a step aside, so does the man that just arrived on this floor. you laugh as you watch Baba collide with the wall of the elevator. you press the bottom for the lobby of the hotel and watch as the doors close behind him. you stand there and laugh to yourself as you imagine Baba standing there, waiting for the elevator to open, 52 floors down.
“What was that about?” You turn your head to a deep voice, it was the man that had stepped out of the elevator, his light brown eyes move from the sliding doors to you, and then back again. you just smile and stick your hands in your pockets.
“Nothing, Baba was just trying to shock me that is all...” you admit. You look the man up and down and you see his hand reach out towards your hair. “What, do i have something in my hair, Eisuke?” you ask him, his hand quickly goes for your neck.
CRACK
“Ow!” you shout and cover your neck with your hand. “Hey no fair!” You shout at him as he then touches your nose, and then your ear that has been exposed from behind your hair. “Eisuke why!” You back away from him and he just stands there and chuckles.
“Don’t think that I am going to chase you all around the lobby, i just wanted to see your reaction.” He smirks, making your cheeks heat slightly.
“Damn you.” You mumble and walk past him. You look back just as you were about to sit next to Soryu once again. But the moment you sat down.
DING
“Oh Princess~” your eyes go wide and you becomes tense. You hear someone clear their throat and you look to see Soryu smirking at you.
“You better start running, ‘Princess’” He chuckles.

Car Accident - Eisuke Ichinomiya
“bat-yo-us said: If you're up for it how about a scenario where eisuke is at work and having a conversation with mc via phone but something terrible happens when suddenly mc was involved in a car accident. The line didn't cut off and eisuke demand desperately that mc to stay conscious until he gets there. Can you make this really really angsty and ends it with a fluff pretty please. I really love a desperate eisuke”
Today was a very rare day that Eisuke asked Y/N to cook his favourite meal. Usually, Eisuke didn’t mind having chefs cook for him or going out to eat because he had the money for it but, he wanted her cooking. He doesn’t know why but the way she cooks his favourite meal, is tastier than the restaurants. There was a time where Y/N cooked his favourite meal for his birthday and when they celebrated out and ordered his food, he questioned the waiter if the chef changed the recipe. He’s been going to that restaurant for a long time but his favourite food disappointed him that day. Since then, he never asked anyone but Y/N to cook his favourite meal. Maybe he was just being biased but it’s the truth.
Upon hearing Eisuke’s request, Y/N happily accepted it. After her work, she went to the grocery store to buy ingredients. Y/N already checked the fridge this morning and there was a lot that she needed to buy. It wasn’t that hard for her to memorize what she needed to buy because as she thought about cooking for Eisuke she had lots of different ways of cooking his favourite meal.
On her way back Eisuke called her. “Hey, where are you right now?” He asked. “I just finished shopping! I’m on my way back.”
“I can’t wait tonight Y/N. I’ll just be finishing a couple of more paperwork then I’ll be done for the night.”
“Sounds like a plan. Don’t overwork yourself Eisuke.”
The two of them stayed on the phone. As Y/N was waiting for the light to change, people started to shove each other and it caused her to lose her balance. She was pushed towards the intersection when a car came speeding by. The car honked at Y/N but she couldn’t balance herself on time to avoid the car.
“Y/N?!?!? WHAT HAPPENED? HELLO?” Eisuke yelled. He started to panic, he had a bad feeling about this.
He kept screaming for her name but there was no answer. He could only listen to the commotion that just happened, he even heard them say to call the ambulance. One lady mentioned how heartbreaking it is to see a young woman covered in blood.
Eisuke couldn’t handle listening to those comments anymore and rushed to the scene. He dropped everything, he knew that he needed to be there for Y/N. He didn’t know where to start looking but he’ll find another way. But before he could even think where to start there was a phone call coming from Y/N. He picked up right away hoping that she was okay, but to his dismay, she was not.
Eisuke was able to find out which hospital she was in. He tried to calm himself down and hope that this is just a nightmare. The receptionist told Eisuke where to go and he just waited outside the emergency room.
It took hours until the Doctor came out from the emergency room. Eisuke walked up to the Doctor. “How is she?”
“Miss Y/N is stable for now, however, she suffered a few broken bones such as a few broken ribs, fractured elbow and head trauma. We need to do surgery as soon as possible. We’re not sure when she’ll wake up, but-”
A nurse ran out of the emergency room. “DOCTOR WE NEED YOU BACK IN THE ROOM.” Eisuke couldn’t help himself but run towards the room. Y/N was in danger and he knew that. “What’s going on here? Y/N don’t leave me, please! Promise me you’ll fight!” He yelled as the Nurses and Doctors tried to save Y/N. “I’m sorry Sir but you need to leave the room. We need to do our job.” Stated one of the Doctors. “You better do your job right then and save her!”
Eisuke could stay still, not knowing how Y/N was doing in there. He couldn’t help but cry, he prayed for Y/N’s safety cause he didn’t know what to do without her. She was the light and happiness in his dark and lonely life.
Nurses came in and out of the emergency room where Y/N was confined. As much as Eisuke wanted to ask what was going on he didn’t want to interrupt anything. The doctor did mention that she needed surgery and lost a lot of blood during the accident. He connected the dots with a matter of time, it wasn’t that hard but it’s hard for him to think straight when Y/N is involved.
After another three hours of waiting the Doctor once again approached Eisuke. “I apologize for the wait, Sir. We did everything and -”
“No...” He whispered. “This isn’t happening.” More tears rolled down his face. His worst nightmare is about to come true. Eisuke grabbed the Doctors collar, “I thought you were going to save her!”
“Sir if you’d let me finish my sentence before you assume anything that would be great.” Eisuke released the Doctor. “As I was saying, We did everything and the surgery is a success. The patient just needs to get enough rest for a faster recovery and you’ll need to be there for her when she wakes up.”
Eisuke planned on doing that in the first place but right now he wanted to see her as soon as possible. He couldn’t believe that the Doctor had the audacity to give him a scare like that. He really thought he was going to lose Y/N.
Days have passed and Y/N was still lying on the bed, Eisuke couldn’t wait until she opens her eyes. He would bring his work to the hospital and would ask Soryu every now and then if he could look after her for a while.
Eisuke rushed to the hospital and cancelled all his meetings when he got a call from Soryu saying that Y/N is finally awake. Upon his arrival, he tried not to hug her because he knows that she had a few broken bones. It was hard for him to restrain himself but he had to do what he needed to do during that time to help her recover. “You don’t know how happy I am to see you Y/N. I was worried sick after the accident.” He caressed her hair. “Sorry Eisuke, I wasn’t able to cook your favourite meal and I was being clumsy as usual on the way back. I didn’t mean to have you waste your time taking care of me in the hospital.” She smiled weakly at him. “Let’s not worry about that right now. Focus on your fast recovery and then once you’re better we can cook together. How does that sound?”
“That sounds perfect.”
Eisuke took care of Y/N until she was discharged from the hospital and he kept his promise of cooking together once she was better. Ever since the accident, he would ask her to wait for him so that the two of them can go grocery shopping together. He didn’t want Y/N to end up in the hospital again and at least then, he gets to spend time with her.

Poisoned - Soryu Oh (Point Of View)
“Anonymous said: Soryu and mc goes on a date and decided to have a meal together. They were busy chatting especially soryu, venting his frustration with his work. When he's about to take his first bite, mc shoves away all the plated food off the table. The food had been poisoned and she violently coughed up blood. How would soryu reacts to this? Can you make this from his pov. I'll leave it to you for the ending.”
Today, Y/N and I are going to have a date at her favourite restaurant. It’s not something fancy or anything but it feels like home, at least that’s how I see it. I’m excited to be able to have a meal with her, our schedule didn’t really match for two weeks and it sucked seeing her only in the morning or when she’s at work.
The Ice Dragons teased me about my work and how I tried to finish them as quickly as possible but I brushed them off. Nonetheless, that didn’t mean that work wasn’t stressful. There are a few ups and downs but we were able to surpass them due to the help of the Ice Dragons.
I picked her up after her shift and she had a big smile on her face. I can tell that she’s also looking forward to today’s date. I gave her a quick peck on the lips and let her to the car. The drive to the restaurant wasn’t long. It was only five minutes and we could’ve walked if we wanted to but I know that she’s tired from standing and walking around.
“I haven’t been here in a long time. Thank you Soryu for making time for me.” She smiled.
“Of course, anything for you my love.”
Once we got seated and looked over the menu, it didn’t take a while for her to choose what she wanted to eat. I even asked her what she could recommend for me.
She talked about what went on in the past week, I’ll never get tired of hearing her voice. I listened to her while we waited for her food. “Okay, your turn.” She managed to put a smile on her face after.
“Well that was a meeting we had with one of our suppliers and they almost messed up where the cargo is supposed to go.” I blabbed on and on about it. I couldn’t believe that they were able to mess up something as simple as that. It was a good thing that the other group and the Ice Dragons were able to solve it right away. I don’t know what I’ll do if the shipment was ruined because of their mistake.
While I was talking to Y/N the food arrived she looked at the food as if she was suspicious about it. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her actions, I was about to put the food in my mouth when she slapped my hand away. She also shoved the plates off the table. “Y/N? What’s wrong?” I questioned her.
“Soryu the food’s poisoned. I know because the sauce from our plates are different and the aroma is different. I know it seems weird and you might think that they changed the recipe but this is different Soryu. I -” She didn’t finish her sentence. She started to cough really bad until there was blood coming out.
I couldn’t believe that my enemies would try and ruin this day for both of us. Y/N was rushed to the hospital and I asked the Doctor to save Y/N. I already sent a text to Samejima to find out who did this to us. I was lucky that I was saved from the poison. I just hope that Y/N will survive this too. If she doesn’t I will look for the person responsible for it and make sure they don’t see the light of day.
Three hours have passed and Y/N was still in the operation room. All I did was pace myself back and forth hoping the Doctor would come out with the result. The Doctor came out of the emergency room along with two nurses. “Are you a family member of the patient?” All I did was nod at the Doctor. “The patient is stable right now. We managed to get the poison out of her system but it may take a few days for her to recover. I don’t know how long but that depends on her immune system as well.”
At that point, I knew that Y/N is going to be okay. She’s a fighter after all. Now that I knew that she was going to be okay, it was now time to hunt down the person who ruined our night. As much as I want to go there myself, I’m sure Samejima and the rest of the dragons are able to handle them. Right now, I need to be here for her when she wakes up.
Every day I stayed by her side hoping she’ll wake up soon. The Ice Dragons are worried about Y/N but I told them not to worry. I made a promise to them that once Y/N is fully recovered, we can go to the beach and have barbecue and they all agreed happily.
Y/N woke up a week later although it took a while, At least she’s awake and that’s all it matters. “I missed you so much Y/N. You scared the living hell of me.” I gave her a long passionate kiss to show how much I missed her. “I missed you too Soryu.” She smiled. I could never get tired of seeing her smile.
“By the way, once you’re discharged we’re going to the beach. You need to get some Vitamin D for being stuck here in the hospital for a week. Also, cause the Ice Dragons were worried about you.” Upon hearing this she grinned at my statement. I know she’s excited to see the ice Dragons and I know for sure that she’s going to apologize for worrying them. With that in mind that’s one of the reasons why I fell for her, and she was able to tame the Ice Dragon herself.

Argument And Amends - Eisuke Ichinomiya
“bat-yo-us said: How about a scenario where mc and eisuke are having an argument because eisuke constantly overworked himself and not getting any real rest and he went back to work with bitterness. Feeling worried, mc decides to make ammend but something terrible happens when someone tries to kill eisuke but at the last minute mc turn the table around and takes the blow instead. Can you make this angsty please and ends it with a fluff”
A/N: I wrote a similar headcanon to this and if you want to read it, it’s called “KBTBB: Fight and Make Up”
“Eisuke, how many times do I have to tell you that you need to take care of yourself? Take a break sometimes will you?” Y/N was full of worries. She just wanted Eisuke to take a break from his work from time to time or else it’ll affect his health. Y/N hated it when Eisuke would refuse to take a break and he hated how she’d nag him about it.
“Are we seriously going to argue about this again Y/N? For the last time just leave me alone, I can take care of myself. Now stop nagging me, will you? You’re giving me a headache.” He rubbed his temples and walked towards his office leaving Y/N in the lounge.
Y/N was annoyed that Eisuke would say hurtful words like that, is it that bad to care and worry about the one you love? Y/N was angry at him and stomped away from the lounge to go back to work.
Eisuke, on the other hand, was also annoyed that his significant other cared too much. He’s been doing this for a long time even when you two weren’t together, so what’s the difference? He’ll be fine.
A few hours have passed and the two of them continued to focus on their work. Eisuke had a guest coming in to make a business deal with him. He paged Y/N up to attend to him and his guest. Although Y/N didn’t want to do it due to their fight, she needed to do this for her work, no personal feelings.
Y/N made coffee for Eisuke and his guest. She stood near Eisuke as if she was his secretary. She had no choice but listen to the deal happening between two businessmen. Y/N could tell that the man didn’t like Eisuke’s condition. “Mister Ichinomiya don’t you think that’s a bit unfair?”
“With all your respect, you’re the one who came to me for this business deal and I’m not happy with it. I managed to think about how your company will be beneficial for mine and you’re telling me that it’s unfair?” Eisuke smirked. “Look, if you don't want the deal then that’s fine, I have other offers from different companies that would love to collaborate with mine.” Eisuke stood up from his seat and walked away from the businessman.
“Typical Eisuke Ichinomiya. If that’s what you think then I might as well kill you now!” The man pulled a gun out from his pocket and pointed at Eisuke. Just before the man pulled the trigger Y/N went in front of Eisuke and became his shield.
The gunshot was deafening in the penthouse. Eisuke turned around to see his significant other on the ground bleeding. “Y/N!” He turned towards the man. “You have no idea what you’ve done. If something happens to her, you’re going to pay it with your own life.”
The man shivered in fear and couldn’t move from his spot. Luckily Mamoru was scheduled to meet with Eisuke today and was able to arrest the man who shot Y/N.
Eisuke rushed Y/N to the hospital and he wasn’t sure what to do. He didn’t understand why Y/N protected him like that even after arguing with him in the morning. He ruffled his hair with frustration, how could he let something like this happen to you? He should be the one protecting you and not the other way around.
The operation went well. They were able to take the bullet out and the Doctor mentioned that Y/N will be fine. Eisuke let out a relieved sigh upon hearing the good news. He knew then that he needed to apologize to Y/N the moment she woke up. He stayed with her until she opened her eyes.
Y/N groggily opened her eyes and saw Eisuke sleeping. “So now you’ve decided to take a rest huh.” She whispered. She was about to stroke his head when Eisuke woke up. “Sorry did I wake you up? I’m sorry about this morning.” She apologized. Before she could even continue to apologize about what happened in the morning, there was a rush of adrenaline that circulated through Eisuke.
“Y/N!” He stood up and crashed his lips on hers. “Thank goodness you’re awake. The Doctors said you’ll be fine if you rest and I just want to apologize for this morning. I know how worried you must feel about me not getting enough rest and I promise you, next time I’ll listen. I don’t want to fight with you ever again, will you forgive me?”
“Hmmm... I’ll think about it.” She smiled. “I’ll only forgive you if you get plenty of rest now.” She teased.
Within moments Eisuke climbed into the bed with Y/N, “Eisuke what are you doing?”
“What? You told me to get some rest and that’s what I’m doing. Do you really think I’ll be able to sleep without you by my side?”
“Smooth one Eisuke. Whatever do what you want but if the Doctor or Nurses kicks you out, you’ll have to go home.”
“Tsk. I’d like to see them try and kick me out.” Eisuke mumbled causing Y/N to laugh.

Jealous - Luke Foster
“pristinehaven said: Hi! Can i please get some jealousy headcanons for Luke(KBTBB) and Huedhault (SCM) with a fem s!o. Like how often do they get jealous and what are the things that tik them off. And how do they handle their partner if they get jealous. Thank you!”
A/N: SCM: Jealous - Huedhaut
Luke Foster the genius Doctor that has quirky behaviour, sweet, hot and yet forgetful has another trait that he hides quite well and that his jealousy. He might not seem like the type of person to get jealous because he trusts his partner Y/N very much. He won’t show his jealous side to anyone but Y/N.
One day Y/N and Luke were out buying groceries. It was rare for Luke to come but since it wasn’t that busy in the clinic, he decided to tag along. “Any special request for tonight’s meal Luke?”
“Anything is good with me. I enjoy the food that you make.” He smiled fondly at his lovely girlfriend.
Luke didn’t mind what ingredients Y/N bought, he loved her cooking and was glad that he was with her at this moment. Although there were times where she had to think about which ingredients to buy and would ask for Lukes opinion, he tried his best to help her.
Later Y/N gave Luke a simple task to grab from different aisles to make their trip faster rather than her doing all the work. She gave him a very detailed direction on where to get the remaining things that Y/N needed to stock the fridge. “Damnit, why does the spice I need have to be on the top shelf?!?” She whispered to herself. She was struggling to reach the top when someone else grabbed it for her. “Here, it’s what you need right? Shorty.” The man laughed.
Y/N whipped around and widened her eyes at the man who called her short. “Well excuse my height, stupid lampost.” She glared at him for a few seconds until the two exploded in laughter.
The man that helped Y/N was a good friend of hers back in high school. The two didn’t expect to see each other after graduation and yet here they are. “It’s been long since the last time I heard that name!” Kaito beamed.
The two were having a lovely chat catching up to each other. They would often share a laugh every now and then. “You look great by the way!”
“I could say the same thing to you Kaito! It’s because of a special someone isn’t it.” Y/N teased her friend.
Luke, on the other hand, did his best not to forget anything that Y/N mentioned for him to get. Once he got everything he was very proud of himself and couldn’t wait to reunite with Y/N. He went to the meat section but she wasn’t there, she wasn’t in the dairy section either. He checked every aisle to see if she was there and he ended up spotting her in the spices section. What he didn’t like was that she was getting friendly with another man.
Luke kept a calm face and approached the two. “Hey Sexy Bones I got the things you wanted me to get.” He gave her a quick peck on the lips, making her embarrassed not only from Luke calling her “Sexy Bones” but also because he kissed her in front of a friend. Luke earned a light slap on his arm.
“Luke this is Kaito, Kaito this is my boyfriend Luke.” The two men shook hands. “Kaito and I went to the same highschool.”
Y/N and Kaito filled Luke in from their highschool days. He might look calm on the outside but on the inside, he’s losing it. He kept a smile on his face and would comment every now and then but he needed to stop pretending. “I’m sorry to break your reunion but I’m hungry. We need to get going, it was a pleasure meeting you Kaito.” He smiled.
Kaito fell for the fake smile Luke put up, but he didn’t fool Y/N. Once they were out of sight Y/N stopped from her tracks and looked at Luke. “Okay spill. What the hell was that about?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Luke avoided his gaze.
Y/N couldnt help but roll her eyes at Luke. “You were jealous weren’t you?” There was a smirk visible on her face.
“Call it whatever you want, but right now I’m hungry.” Luke continued to push the cart.
She held Luke’s face on the palm of her hands, “Luke you know that I love you right? There’s no need for you to be jealous of an old friend.”
Luke sighed. “I know, I’m very aware of that but it sucks that he knew you back then and had good memories together. What if he ends up chasing after you and then you’ll leave me for him?”
Y/N grinned at her boyfriend. This was something new to her because Luke never showed his jealous side. “Even if he did confess to me, he’s too late. I have you now, unless of course, you break my heart. Now that’s a different story.”
“I’d never do that to you.” He rested his forehead on hers.
“Okay enough of this, we need to go and pay for everything we bought so I can cook for us.”
“I like that plan cause I’m starving.”
In the end, only Y/N was able to see Luke’s jealous side. She was just surprised how calm he was but she knew that there was something else going on with his emotion at the same time.

Taking Care Of You When You’re Sick - Soryu Oh
“soryuichinomiyabae said: Can you do a soryu kind of panicking and then taking care of mc when mc's sick fanfic ? Tysm !!”
Before Y/N could even get up and head to work, her body felt weak and limp. She recalled the past events that may have lead to this and it came to her. Last night it rained while she was getting groceries and wore thin clothes. She wasn’t able to take a shower and dry herself later due to exhaustion. “Ugh, really?” She tried to sup up but her body wouldn’t let her.
Soryu walked in to check on Y/N. He would always give her a goodbye kiss before he heads off to work. “Y/N are you still in bed? You better start getting ready and head to work now Love.” He heard sniffles coming from Y/N and he sensed that something was wrong. He rushed to her side with worry written all over his face. “Soryu... I don’t feel so good.” Y/N replied weakly.
The moment he touched Y/N’s forehead he started to panic. She was burning, this had happened before to him and Y/N made sure that he’d get better. He decided to cancel all his meetings today and even spoke to Eisuke that you weren’t able to come. Scenarios came to his head such as  “Is Y/N dying? No! She can’t die” “The world is too dangerous for her. She shouldn’t go out anymore if she’s going to get sick.” “Y/N too fragile, of course, she’ll get sick.”  Soryu didn’t know what to do in this situation and started to panic. He called Luke right away, he’d know what to do, he’s a Doctor after all. “LUKE!” He screamed through the phone the moment Luke picked up.
Soryu explained to Luke what her condition is like and Luke told Soryu no to worry. Y/N caught a cold and all Soryu had to do was follow Luke’s instructions. “Soryu I’ll text you the medicine that Y/N has to take to help her fever go down. She won’t be able to eat but congee or porridge would be good for her. Goodluck Soryu.”
Soryu told Inui to get the medicine while he cooks congee. He may not know how to cook but he wanted to do this for Y/N. “Samejima... I know I’m asking a lot but can you teach me how to cook congee for Y/N?”
“Sir I could do it for you if you don’t mind. I’m sure the Princess would want you by her side right now.”
“No... I want to be able to do something for her.. even if it's cooking congee.”
Samejima felt awkward instructing his Boss how to cook congee. Soryu followed Samejima step by step, he didn’t want to mess this up. After it was done Inui came in with the medicine. Y/N’s meal was now ready.
“Love, I know it’s hard for you to get up right now but I’ll be here to help you. I made congee for you.” He smiled. Y/N was happy that Soryu is by her side at this moment and it touched her heart that Soryu would cook something for her.
Y/N finished the congee in no time. “Thank you Soryu. It was delicious.” She smiled at him.
“Anything for my Love. Now take your medicine and get plenty of rest. I’ll be here in the room when you wake up.” He tucked Y/N in and kissed her forehead. “Get well soon.”

Searching - Chapter 1
The last time I wrote about Eisuke, I’d met someone in my travels who inspired the story. This one comes from a similar place, and I hope you’ll enjoy. Should be the first part of something short again. Let me know if you want to be tagged.
Tumblr media
I’d woken up extra early and made my way downstairs to the cafe, in order to grab a coffee and emotionally regroup before my day started. I brought my small bag with my planner, pen, and of course camera, as I found a cozy corner to sit in.
The hotel cafe was sparsely populated, and I figured it wouldn’t be long until a waiter brought over my drink. In the meantime, I took out my things and leafed through my schedule as I examined what was on the docket today, not to mention the month to come.
I wasn’t an alcoholic, but looking at my calendar I found myself whispering, “one day at a time,” incredibly overwhelmed by the amount I needed to do in the weeks to come.
This current week in Tokyo was jam packed with planning and photoshoots with well known models before I was set to head north and do a few shoots before returning for another two weeks before ultimately flying home to the states. For years I’d hoped for this kind of opportunity and this kind of life, but now that it was happening I found myself having second thoughts.
Being on the move made it hard to put down roots.
I’d been single for almost 3 years and I’d always figured I’d start dating once my life calmed down. What I hadn’t anticipated was that the opposite would happen. Like a snowball rolling down a hill, my career seemed to grow exponentially with every job and pick up speed until I had the choice to either quit completely or accept that this was my life.
I was grateful for the fact that success in this area of my life had allowed me to transform my hobby of snapping photos with friends to traveling the world on someone else’s dime. I currently lived a life full of expensing fancy dinners and making more money than I’d ever dreamed. I wasn’t a billionaire by any means, but I had more money in the bank than my grandmother who immigrated to the states could have ever wrapped her head around.
People say that money can’t solve your problems, but I figured that money could help with the quest to find me a steady boyfriend.
I employed a matchmaking service back in New York for almost ten thousand dollars with the hope that would understand my criteria and find me the perfect husband without much work on my end. I simply didn’t have the time to go on first date after first date that didn’t go anywhere and I did want to be married one day.
Though I knew I was not nearly as attractive as the models I was paid to capture, I believed myself to be more attractive than the matches they sent my way. Before I’d left New York for my one month tour of Japan, I’d demanded that they do better as they tried to persuade me I’d set the bar impossibly high.
“That’s absurd,” I’d snapped back. “You’ve seen the pictures of my exes and the guys I date. I’m sure these guys are lovely but I can’t help the fact I am completely unattracted to them.”
My matchmaker protested gently, “I’ve been doing this for a long time - sometimes someone isn’t attractive at the start but they grow on you…”
“No. I know myself well enough to know that won’t happen here. Even when I’ve had that experience they haven’t necessarily been my type or what I’m used to but they’re still attractive and there’s still SOMETHING that drew me to them…not like this.”
I felt awful having to admit how superficial I was at the end of the day but I also knew that I didn’t have the time to waste on a lackluster first date with a man whose appearance I found slovenly and unappealing.
I didn’t care that he was a business owner and had a penthouse - I wasn’t trying to be his trophy wife.
I was becoming my own rich man, as Cher would say.
“But if you just gave him a try…”
“No. I’m sorry but no. It’s not nice for me to go feeling this way and I’m leaving for a month as is. I’m not wasting his time or mine and I hope when I return you have someone that’s more in line with my preferences.”
I felt like a diva but I was too busy to mask my annoyance. I was in the business of always delivering for my clients.
I was theirs and they owed it to me.
I rubbed my eyes, still feeling the jet lag from when I’d arrived and made a few notes in my planner. Scout today. Shoot tomorrow and Wednesday. Review retouching Thursday and Friday. Fly out Saturday.
Rinse.
Repeat.
I sighed, knowing full well that I craved a vacation where I could actually enjoy Tokyo instead of being shuttled around in town-cars for work.
“Everything alright?”
I looked up and saw the smiling face of a middle aged man who worked for the hotel.
“Yes, everything’s fine - there’s just a lot to do.”
“Should I arrange for any of the hotel’s spa services for you?”
“No, that’s alright. Thank you…Mr. Kenzaki,” I said, taking note of his employee name-tag.
“Of course. Just let me know if there’s anything I can do to make your stay here more enjoyable.”
“May I take your photo?”
He’d started to walk away when I’d asked, and at first he appeared shy, almost apprehensive as if I were asking him to tell me something incredibly personal. I suppose taking a photograph of someone is incredibly personal, at least, someone once said that about my work long ago.
“You don’t have to,” I quickly added. “I don’t want you to be uncomfortable.”
“No, that’s quite alright. Go ahead.”
I took out my small point and shoot that I used for fun, and framed him up dead center with the cafe’s arch creating a sense of symmetry around him as identically set tables almost created a look as if there were a mirror effect taking place in the image.
He looked stiff and uncomfortable and to get what I wanted I asked, “Mr. Kenzaki, have you always had that haircut?”
For an instant he looked vulnerable and I snapped the photo before he replied.
“Yes. For some time now at least - why do you ask?”
“It suits you. You appear to be a very capable, organized individual and your appearance reflects this. Thank you for letting me take your photo.”
He nodded but I could see that he was slightly unsettled as he walked away and once out of sight I looked at the image on my screen. There was something incredibly boyish in his face that captured who he once was in a moment of who he’d become.
“You’re as good as they say you are,” said a voice behind me, and I looked up to see a man looking at the camera’s digital screen over my shoulder.
I found it odd that someone would recognize me, but having worked at this level for the past few years with several international showcases it wasn’t implausible enough to alarm me.
“Thanks I guess.”
“I thought you’d have a much more professional setup though…”
“I do. This is just when I am trying to enjoy the process - when it’s not work. There’s something freeing about not having so much equipment.”
The man scowled and I was uncertain as to what in my statement had rubbed him the wrong way.
“Work is work, not play. There is only joy in the capital gained from it.”
“Perhaps for you, but there was once joy in what I did and I’m trying to find it again. Have a good day.”
With that, I started to leave. I’d drained my coffee and a car would be here soon enough to take me to scout several outdoor locations where we’d be working tomorrow.
“Won’t you take my photo?”
I turned around and looked at him. It was obvious that whoever he was, he’d built up so many walls that getting him to expose who he really was would take more time than I had. An offhanded comment would not crack this man as it had Mr. Kenzaki.
“I do, but right now I don’t have the time.”
“Later then? When you return?”
Puzzled, I raised an eyebrow and said, “I don’t know - I’ll see how I feel. It’s not just snapping a photo for me you know. It’s more than that.”
He started to say something but then pursed his lips and nodded.
“Okay.”
I thought about the oddity of that interaction for most of the day.
I had a translator, 2 assistants, and a creative director with me at all times for the bulk of the scout and it took us most of the day to finalize the schedule for the following 2 days. They took me around and to places most Americans would never get to visit but I still felt as if I had to be my professional self versus my real one.
I had to remain upbeat and excited, grateful for the opportunity, and impressed by all the city had to offer while simultaneously creating shot lists in my head that I’d frantically jot down in notebooks while their backs were turned.
My phone informed me that I’d done about 10 miles of walking by the time the day was over and after a fairly luxurious dinner with the creative team and translator in which I walked everyone through the plan for the following days I found myself spent.
There was a sense of relief as I kicked off my shoes and walked into my hotel suite, prepared to order some late night dessert from room service and soak in the tub before I turned in on the early side. I chucked once more thinking about the man I’d met who wanted his photo taken, and wondered if he was going to be in the cafe tomorrow morning with the hope I’d photograph him.
As I waited for my cake, I lay on the couch in my suite and connected my phone to wifi, allowing for iMessages and WhatsApp notifications to flood my phone from the states.
My friend was getting married.
My other friend had given birth.
People missed me.
My mom wanted to know if I was doing ok.
And my manager had put me up for a few additional jobs in Asia that could potentially extend my stay up to two months and I felt annoyed at the fact that he hadn’t run the idea by me first, seeing as how I was already tired and wanting to go home.
I felt too tired to reply and lazily tossed my phone onto the table next to me before I closed my eyes to rest.
I hoped to quiet the thoughts swirling in my head, but all that I could think about was how lonely this new life of mine felt. I managed to be around people all the time and yet I was close to no one these days. My friends had all moved forward into new chapters of their lives and I felt as if I were being left behind.
No one pitied me or had any idea I felt this way. To them I was their fabulous photo friend who rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous and updated my instagram with a steady stream of exotic photos. On paper it looked as if I had it all, but in my heart there was a hole.
The longer I sat with these feelings, the more confused and hopeless I felt. It wasn’t long before the mix of melancholy and exhaustion had silent tears streaming town my cheeks.
I felt as if I had one foot in my old life and one foot in the new one - resisting the fact that I was someone who would be gone for months at a time and who would be unable as a result to cultivate new relationships. And to add insult to injury, what was once fun had started to feel like work in all areas.
I couldn’t just snap a picture anymore for fun. My pictures were scrutinized. They were shared. They were representing my brand and therefore they couldn’t be flawed.
I missed being able to shoot freely and make mistakes and not have this reputation - albeit a good one.
Too good in fact.
The bar kept getting set higher and higher and all I wanted was the freedom to make art the way I did when I was first starting.
A knock on my door interrupted my stormy thoughts and I hastily wiped my tears before asking, “Who is it?”
“Room service.”
I’d forgotten about the cake.
I made my way to the door, unconcerned with my appearance and opened it to discover the man from the morning awkwardly holding a piece of cake.
“You…don’t usually do this, do you?” I found myself asking.
“I do not.”
I chuckled and took the cake, hanging my head a bit in the hopes I could extricate myself from the conversation without having to acknowledge the feelings that had come before.
“Do I have to sign anything?”
“No. I…Are you alright?”
There was something clumsy about the way he asked me.
“Just an off day. Thanks for the cake,” I said scanning for his employee badge.
“Eisuke Ichinomiya. I own the hotel.”
“Well, thank you for personally delivering it.”
“I have ulterior motives. I want you to take my picture.”
“Yeah, I kind of got that earlier. Why?”
“Because they say you capture the essence of who someone is.”
“Thank you. But if you want a professional shoot contact my agent and they’ll…”
“I need you to help me understand who I am.”
His voice was quiet when he said it, but there was a humility behind those words that I hadn’t seen before in him. Now that I was looking at him, it was fair to say he quite handsome. Though guarded, there was an elegance and masculinity about him that would make for a good subject and knowing that he was a powerful man I suddenly shifted in what this photograph could do for me.
If I could capture a king looking as lost as he did now, I could take my career somewhere else perhaps.
I could maybe even afford to be more selective with my jobs.
The universe had brought me a gift, but I would soon see that it was not going to be what I initially thought.

Tumblr media
Meg didn’t let me discuss what she said. It was like her to do this - she had a way of forcing me to sit with thoughts and feelings in order to help me get past my initial knee jerk reaction.
She told me that after my dinner tomorrow we could regroup and really talk about what she’d said. She felt that a day’s time would allow me to reflect enough in order to accurately unpack my feelings. I wasn’t sure I’d have time to think things over properly, but I knew better than to try and argue with her right now.
I could tell she was in a mood herself, and I had to imagine that between her breakup and her unexpected visit to the otome realm she was a bit of a mess herself these days.
Meg still did her best to be a good hostess, and tried to boost my spirits by pouring me a glass of wine and telling me about her own adventures. I felt sick to my stomach but did my best to listen and potentially experience the world that had allowed me to find love for the first time in a more objective way.
Just as it had been for me in the otome world, time progressed faster in that world than in our own. Whereas my week away from the real world had been the equivalent of a month or so in otome-ville, Meg had lived a little over three weeks in bizarro Tokyo before returning to the real world. Thankfully the king had apparently showed some semblance of a conscience upon her arrival and as a result he had provided her with food and shelter at the residence of the Gods putting everyone under strict orders to see that her needs were cared for (at least, everyone save for Zyglavis and Leon).
Naturally Meg had argued something fierce with the king about returning her immediately, but he wouldn’t budge and she quickly deemed the other Gods as useless for not stepping in and setting things right.
With the head Ministers away, Punishments was being run by Scorpio and Wishes by Karno. The Gods were aware of what had happened and meeting Meg for them became an event as they were eager to hear about the life of their comrades who were living in our world. Her annoyance grew in those first moments between their unwillingness to push back against their dictator king (as she called him) and the interrogation that followed (which stemmed from their natural curiosity).
Her disdain for them continued to grow as the night went on and as a result she found herself holed up in Leon’s uninhabited bedroom for the first few days in her new world, somewhat in denial of her bizarre circumstances. Though I had explained to her what had happened to me, it was still hard for her to fully wrap her head around being in a video game where handsome men existed purely to provide romantic escapism.
She knew that she was effectively powerless in so many ways, and I understood more than anyone how being around Gods with the ability to manifest anything with a snap of a finger could add to feeling small and incapable of changing one’s circumstances.
“For three days straight I cried,” Meg said. “I cried because I was angry. I cried because I was heartbroken. And I cried because with nowhere left to run and no distractions to be had…everything caught up with me.”
She told me during that time the Gods brought her what seemed like Chipotle, and I smiled at Scorpio having remembered that from my time in his world. Altair had also come by with lattes in the mornings, another small detail that warmed my heart and proved to me that despite her statement the people who lived in that world were more than just programmed robots. I felt as if my time there influenced them, and as a result her time as well.
When she finally emerged from Leon’s bedroom days later, Meg knew that she looked like a hot mess. She was still in the clothes she’d arrived in and her face was puffy and her eyes were swollen from crying so much. Partheno had been the first God she encountered that morning in the living room and upon seeing her he gave her a makeover, and provided her with a whole new wardrobe.
There was some distance in the way she spoke about him, seeing as how she never played any of the games that she experienced firsthand as reality. She was annoyed by how flirtatious and imposing they all were - treating her like a plaything because she was female, almost as if merely having a vagina was such an anomaly and meant that they couldn’t treat her as they would anyone else.
“It’s not just the Gods either,” she said. “All the men in that world look at you with starry eyes or with an agenda of some sort. Literally none of them just treat you like a normal human being - there’s always some romantic subtext or potential tension simmering under the surface. I think that’s why I looked for women and what I assumed were NPCs because it was exhausting to exist in this way…”
“I get that,” I said, still not fully sold on how she saw a world that had such a positive impact on my life, “But still...you didn’t enjoy the fantasy at all?”
Meg shrugged, “I mean, I certainly wasn’t a nun if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Wait...what?”
“What?”
“I meant more, there was no one who felt real to you? Who touched something inside you that’d been dormant for a long time? Because that’s what that world did for me…what those men did for me…”
“I don’t know Omi,” Meg said with a sigh. “Maybe it was just the freshness of everything that happened with Noah but I couldn’t get out of my head long enough to have feelings if that’s what you’re asking. They were hot. When I drank for whatever reason they became more appealing. But if you’re asking if I could ever fall in love with them? No, if only for what I said to you. As awful as this heartbreak is, I still want someone who chooses me because they choose me. I never want to wonder if they were to one day magically have free will if they’d have chosen me…if I stood a chance.”
“But...you didn’t have a date? Or remember what it was like to dream about romance with someone who could actually fulfill your wishes?”
“Maybe our wishes are just different. I wish to find a partner who is imperfect in real, human ways that I can grow with. Not a realistic simulation of humanity that feels good but keeps me safe. I’m not a...”
Meg stopped herself, realizing how whatever she might say could offend me and pass judgment that she didn’t mean to pass. Instead she sighed and offered me a forced, but sympathetic smile.
“I did have sex with a bunch of them if that makes you feel better.”
“What?!”
“Men are building sex robots. I figured this was a similar equivalent.”
“Who?? And didn’t that make them just...obsessed with you?”
“Probably but that’s just how they’re programmed,” Meg said with a shrug. “I didn’t care if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Wait a second.”
I pulled out my phone and opened the Love365 app. It had been awhile since I opened it and I watched as the typical opening animation was promptly followed by an error message that simply read, “Our games are currently undergoing maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
“Meg...”
“Do not tell me you’re going to slut shame me for enjoying myself in a rebound paradise full of hot guys, who all wanna bang me and doing so doesn’t run the risk of contracting STDs.”
“No, I would never…but how many do hook up with? The games are all offline.”
To that Meg giggled, “Huh, I guess there were real world consequences after all.”
“Meg!” I scolded her but I could feel the tension between us dissipate in that moment. Soon we were both laughing uncontrollably before she rattled off a rather long list of men she’d bedded.
Of the Gods she’d chosen Partheno, Tauxolouve, and Dui. Her life in the otome world has taken her to Addison & Rhodes seeing as how she too was familiar with advertising. There she’d had Dr. Maki, Toshiaki, Taku, and surprisingly enough Toma as well. She’d hooked up with Nomura after a night drinking at Station and Kaga who she met on line waiting for dessert even though she said she questioned if his hotness balanced out dealing with his arrogance. She’d also somehow managed to sleep with Rikiya Mononobe, Kota Igarashi, and Genji Higashiyama.
Out of principle she hadn’t touched a bidder. She told me that she met Baba pretty early on once she’d ventured out of the Gods mansion and went exploring. After sleeping with a few of the Gods that first week, she realized that they all began competing for her affections by conjuring a generous allowance which allowed her to enjoy the city, in addition to gifts (such as jewelry, clothes, perfume, and makeup).
Her first week she found through gaggle that the Tres Spades had not only a fun casino but a great bar and decided to spend her fifth night out on the town as she tired of the Gods bickering over her affections. In the casino Baba had attempted to pick her up, and I chuckled knowing that while he and I were like oil and water, him and Meg were something much worse, seeing as how there was nothing Meg hated more than a smooth talker.
In college I once watched her destroy a young man who approached her having read a few pick up techniques, and as he skulked away from her, tail between his legs she’d even gone so far as to yell after him, “NEXT TIME JUST SAY HI AND TREAT WOMEN LIKE PEOPLE!”
To Baba though, she was a challenge and he texted his friends to come meet the beautiful woman whose spirit reminded him of Ami’s. Somehow they kept popping up wherever she went, and as annoyed as she’d been by them she enjoyed toying with their emotions a bit.
She felt it was merely giving them a taste of their own medicine, although I could tell that out of all the men in this world somehow she’d grown fondest of them despite never wanting to admit it.
“I think that’s everyone, but who can really remember,” Meg said with a sigh as she flopped back and laid on her couch, “I think I’m ready for a real rebound with a real human and a fuckton of therapy now so I can actually start moving on.”
In a way it was interesting how Meg was able to regard these men as nohting more than fantasy.
There was no guilt of casually sleeping with and leaving these men who she believed were essentially created for women’s pleasure (albeit through storytelling, not sex for the average otome fan). Her likening them to sex robots spoke to why she could never understand why I’d choose or want to choose Zyglavis. She didn’t understand that I’d seen him grow from something beyond his character’s starting point and while he still might be a fantasy, he was more real than she was willing to give him credit for.
We’d only talked about her flings and first week in the otome world when I realized that it was almost 11 PM, and with another workout scheduled before work I knew I needed to cut our catch up short.
“I’ll come by after the dinner…but I’m going to be honest,” I said as she walked me to the door. “I get where you’re coming from but I don’t know if I see it the way you do.”
“I know,” she said as she hugged me. “And that makes me appreciate what you did for me even more. Get home safe ok?”
“Talk to you tomorrow.”
She closed the door behind me, and I found my way outside and to the subway. As I walked, I thought about what she said.
Before I’d woken up in Ebisu with Doctor Irie, my dating life felt like a real struggle. If I’m being honest, it was all very scary and overwhelming for me and I felt slightly bitter that it seemed as if my friends had all fallen into these perfect relationships. Meg’s breakup had opened my eyes to the fact that what looks perfect on the outside often is anything but, however at the time it felt like I was the odd woman out.
The longer I went without having a boyfriend, the more I wondered if I was just not the kind of woman that men like. Those thoughts ate away at me. I wondered what it was that I needed to change in order to find someone who would love me, all the while feigning confidence at work and rising in the ranks.
Professionally, I knew how to fake it until I made it but personally I had no idea.
In a city like New York I was able to compete and win when it came to my job but when it came to my personal life and the core of who I was, I found myself faltering. There’s a sea of prettier, younger, smarter women that I admire while simultaneously using their existence to validate why no one would ever pick me in the end.
So yes…I suppose in a way Meg was right when she said that I opted for something and someone who felt safe.
Safe was something that I hadn’t felt in many years while dating and it felt good to have the upper hand for once. With the king’s game I was using the confidence boost that being in the otome realm had provided me, and it was only now that I questioned the root of that confidence.
I caught a glimpse of myself in the dress I’d worn to show off for Hijikata earlier that morning. I thought about the kiss from Eisuke and the moments I shared with Jin in his office.
It was all because of me.
It was because of the person I’d become, and even if it took a vacation from reality to get there I knew in my heart that I was better for it.
I sighed aloud to no one in particular and descended the stairs to the subway. I swiped my card, walked through the turnstile, and saw that my train home was 3 minutes away.
I plugged my headphones into my phone, untangling them from having been jammed in my bag and plugged my ears with my iPhone earbuds. I was looking through my library, deciding what kind of song I wanted to lose myself in when I heard in the distance a man ask, “Have you seen this woman?”
“What about you? Have you seen her? No? Ok, thanks anyway.”
I glanced up but the man shuffling from person to person on the platform was wearing a baseball cap and I figured he was probably just another New York City late night nutjob. My mind was too filled with the otome world and the people I’d met there, as well as Meg’s words about the dangers of getting lost in a fantasy to care about a random crazy person.
I selected “We don’t talk anymore” and dropped my phone back into my bag, letting out yet another melancholy sigh as I thought about the fact that I didn’t feel like waking up early to play this game anymore. I wanted it all to just work out. I wanted things to be easy and safe and I wanted, no I felt as if I deserved, to catch a break after all this time and everything that had happened.
“Excuse me, miss have you seen this woman?”
I jumped, startled as the man thrust a phone in my face that had a picture…of Meg on it.
Surprised I looked up and saw that under the cap hid distinctly light brown pinkish locks and when I looked up I saw the face of a lovesick Partheno.
