Wow, I somehow forgot to post this on Valentine's Day... Sorry about that, I usually post a Kirino on Valentine's every year, and I did everywhere else but somehow forgot this place.
Better late than never though right? Still very happy with this.

Kirino from Oreimo should’ve been a closeted gay and the plot of the anime should’ve been about her brother accidentally discovering it and helping her keep her sexuality under wraps at first, then gradually pushing her to accept herself and setting her up with Kuroneko in the process. There is a filler episode, but instead of a beach or a hot springs episode the gang goes to a pride parade, and we learn that Ayase is bi and Manami is transfem (or maybe vice versa). The het side of the fandom probably ships the brother with one of them, or both. The story ends with Kirino publishing her first novel (a yuri, obviously) and publicly coming out as a lesbian. Her manager and publishing company try to stop it, but the gang intervene, and it’s all very emotional and dramatic. The anime would’ve been called ‘My little sister can't possibly be this gay’ and it would be pretty prominent in the Ao3’s Femslash Top 100. Unfortunately, 2010s Japan wasn’t ready for that kind masterpiece.
