floyd is like 36 so he was early-mid 20s during PEAK kin discourse. he was in the fucking trenches. i dont think he ever said he kinned anything but he was definitely caught in the crossfire. once he reblogged a funny drawing of a danganronpa character and tagged it "#me" and op came after him because they LITERALLY had "i am the real gundam, do not kintag my drawings of him" in their about page! who CARES that floyd was using mobile: he should have known that mobile was unusable back then and he was better off using tumblr in browser 🙄 its his own fault! thats canon btw. tdau floyd is canonically a fan of danganronpa. it is established next chapter.

none of the other brothers know what it is, because jd bruce and clay are in their 40s (also jd and clay were cut off from civilisation for 20 years) and branch had better things to do with his life than social media, like collecting firewood, and non-perishables

when we get to the chronically online early 20s zoomers, so harper and holly etc, theyre at the point where they think "i kin this character" means "i like this character". they have not been in the trenches. they are committing stolen valour. floyd watches in shock and horror but he cant say anything because theyll make fun of him and accuse him of saying "sweet summer child" and "doggo" and "adulting", and it just might be the last straw for his miserable fucking life
