Hello, Favorite show kathony and book kathony scene

Favorite show Kanthony scene, the one where Kate overhears Anthony's views on women and let's him have it. I loved that scene because it perfectly captures the esence of Kate and Anthony's personalities. In what I can call award winning acting

As for favorite book scene, gosh there are so many. But if I had to pick right now. I'd say it's the Library scene in Aubrey Hall, where Anthony crouches under the desk with Kate because she's afraid of Storms. Mind you him being so comforting to her is what convinces her to stop fighting him over the Edwina issue... Which later leads us to the bee scene. But that scene, is just so sweet and vulnerable for both of them and I really have a weakness for scenes like that

This scene is just so 😍😍 for me. It's such a shame they left it out of the show. Because it humanizes Kate and Anthony in a way I seriously love. Which is why it currently my top pick for favorite Kanthony scene

In my humble opinion, Titans did a better job than most of Berlanti’s other super hero shows in terms of giving focus to the leads and taking us on their individual journeys, while also connecting them and the rest of the cast making it feel like an ensemble/family (in the end). There were missteps, of course, particularly with Gar, DickKory and Tim. However, that stemmed from them thinking they had more time to tell their stories. I sincerely believe that if we had been gifted another season, everyone would’ve gotten close to almost everything they wanted!

Titans did do a great job and didn't have bigger missteps than every other show in this genre. They may never get their flowers. The constant dismissal of Kory's plot that didn't involve Dick is sad because it's rare for female leads to even have their own thing going on every season.

As for people getting everything they wanted for DK in s5 I think that was pretty impossible sadly. The problem people had was having expectations based on writing of shows in completely different genres. The type of scenes and tropes they wanted weren't happening here. Like what made anyone think there would be a love triangle this season other than not paying attention to anything at all the past 3?

Instead of comparing DK to like Shawn/Angela (who ended terribly btw) or Kathony they should have been comparing them to couples on action shows with short seasons. Not TVD, not Merlin, not Greys Anatomy. Hank/Dawn was the only other series-long couple. Everyone should have noted how they were written and had more realistic expectations. HD were riddled with problems and ended with Dawn propositioning Dick a day after Hank died. DK not having the type of trust issues and trauma bonding would mean they wouldn't have the same problems. I.E jealousy, cheating, half-baked love triangles, nasty fights, and distrust.

Dickkory had everything other couples on the show didn't have. They were wholesome, supportive of each other, and in love. No triangles, jealousy, tears, insecurities over being just an option, or pining. Just pure love.

You can find epic love speeches in those shows and then if they go on long enough those same couples break up or end up tainted after one too many violent disrespectful fights.

I'll always love what we got with these two. I just wanted one more season. I'll never blame the writers for creating such a beautiful ship and showing us their bright future together but not being able to expand on it. That's on WB. They were phenomenal in s4.

After Season 3 of Colin and Penelope, which Bridgerton siblings would you like to see take center stage in Season 4 and what changes would you love for Shonda to do that’s different from the book version?

Honestly I see either Benedict or Eloise for season 4 depending how the show will set them up in season 3. Because to be totally honest neither are ready yet.

Eloise needs to get her act together and learn some empathy. Which I'm hoping we'll really see start happening this season and she continues to learn in season 4. Because the way it is currently being set up at the moment, she's gonna face her biggest challenge in empathy, and her biggest challenge of realizing that feminism benefits everyone, will be Phillip. A lot of the things she complains about, the silent and married line, and choices being limited or taken away, Phillip has gone through. I think it would be interesting if they took the approach of Eloise becoming a governess to the twins because one it will get her doing something and two it will get her out of the ton she hates so much. The twins would be about the right age too, most families started using a governess at about ages 3-5. Basically starting them during the preschool years. Also, selfishly, it would give me a regency era version of the Nanny, but I don't have to wait six years for them to get together. Be also intresting to see Eloise tearing into that awful nanny and for us to dive into the social difficulties of governesses. Also I hope we get to see Eloise trying to involve Phillip with the twins education and nerdy/academic Phillip comes out. I do see kathony's kid being the one who gets sick instead of Benophie's. They moved Romeny Hall closer to Aubrey Hall so that's probably gonna come back to play a part.

Benedict, for his story with Sophie, gives up all the comforts and safeties his life can afford him because he loves her that much. But at the same time, Benedict has practically been on a one man island for each of his subplots. Besides being a rake which we've already seen two married and happy, really what is show Benedict giving up? I think we need to see him more involved in the ton and more involved as a second son. Have it established what Benedict himself truly has by his birthplace and show us why it would be so difficult for him to give it up. I think involving him more in the ton will also show viewers the insecurity he's supposed to have that he can't be told apart or separated from his siblings. This leads me to hope Penelope writes a cheeky article at one point on how to tell the siblings apart because that's how Sophie knows she's talking to Benedict the first time. I'm not against the be my mistress aspect because I think it will play an interesting battle of morals between the two. The blackmail and physical fights they get into I can do without. One thing that I do NOT want changed is Posy. Me and Shondaland gonna fight if they get rid of my girl Posy. I love her relationship with Sophie and their paraelles between one another as they both escape their abuser. People love the jail scene for Benedict calling Sophie his fiancé and Violet subtley threatening Araminta. I love the jail scene because both Sophie and Posy stand up to their abuser and choose each other.

But yeah I can either Benedict or Eloise depending how the story is goes.

I think that you really have a great understanding of kathony. What do you respond to people who say that Anthony didn't fight for Kate. But he fought for Edwina and his family. How to respond to this?

so breaking this down, first of all, he definitely fought for kate, but to understand how, you have to take a closer look into who anthony is.

anthony is about duty. s1 we see him raking around but we still see hints of it, in his trying to find a match for daphne, even if he didn't get it right, but at the end of s1, he states that he's going to marry and have children etc etc as per his duties to his family and the viscountcy (we could go into a deeper exploration into where this burden comes from for him and it deals with his relationship with his father, and his father's early death but i don't think it's necessary to understand his actions as it relates to your question.)

so anthony going into s2? about doing his duty. marrying someone who fits the role, who he decides will pretty much be the diamond because if that's who the queen determines is perfect, she's what is perfect in society's eyes, and have kids, which he tells edwina in episode 3, telling her he will be doing his business and doesn't expect to spend time with his wife or kids. so when you say he fought for edwina? i don't see it. he found for edwina as she fit the role of his bride that he could have without any emotional connections, as would have any other lady the queen named as diamond.

his relationship with edwina was never about edwina as a person, but rather edwina as someone who fit a box, and he states that! in ep6 when edwina asks if he loves her, he responds with this whole dialogue about understanding her and how they're both eligible matches- the best of the season, who fills roles and have duties they have to fulfill. it's all very business transaction and again, has nothing to do with their actual personalities.

so in terms of fighting for edwina, i don't think he ever does, purely because he doesn't think of edwina as a person outside of the role she fills and his duty. he's fighting for his duty, at the exclusion of love.

his family. yeah. this whole season was his fighting for him family, but also learning that fighting for family doesn't mean excluding the possibility of happiness for himself or that his fighting for his family isn't the only thing making him worthy of love.

now specifically kate. did he fight for kate? yes. because he fought for her in a way that showed he truly loved and understood her.

the running theme from the beginning has always been how quickly kate and anthony clicked, and yes they were enemies/rivals/whatever words you want to use but it's been clear from their first meeting, that they align and then quickly after that- the mud scene, the bee scene, the library, etc that there's something unique about them. that their personal experiences have shaped them into similar beings.

so anthony fighting for kate is him accepting that he can't push her. there's never really any big opportunities for us to see him fight for her, because this season is really about them fighting their own selves and then accepting that they want to love and be loved and they reach that end point separately. anthony reaches it when he finds out she's awake after the accident and kate reaches it somewhere between her conversation with mary after the accident and before she dances with anthony at the wrecking ball dance.

so when anthony proposes to kate right after the accident, it's coming from him having just realized he wants to love her/be loved and it's coming when she thinks he's proposing out of burden/honour because she doesn't quite accept that there's a chance he loves her. idk if that makes sense. but he doesn't push there because there's this vulnerability of putting yourself out there and then thinking the other person doesn't want you back and it makes sense- they've both been pushing the other person for so long! but anthony is vulnerable (as is kate)!

so the next time we see them interact is the dance and it's all lovely with a hint of sad desperation that this is it for them. but then anthony finds her in the garden. and this is where i do think he fought for her.

because fighting isn't just about running, yelling in the rain, on your knees, desperate begging. sometimes it's putting it all out there, showing your entire heart, with having no expectations. he fought for her in a quiet, softer manner, even though it was seemingly hopeless. it can be about being completely vulnerable and open to heart break.

anthony has always had walls up. we only see them fall with kate, often when her walls are also down. here he chooses to let them down. he lays it all out on the line. he tells her he loves her and always has and that it's going to remain, regardless. he puts no conditions on his love. because he understands her desire for freedom. he understands the appeal of running away. he understands the fear of letting someone have so much power over you and your heart. and he lets her have his heart anyways. and accepts that she may not return hers and she may leave. and so in a way, he's fighting harder than he ever has, because he's accepting that he may be left in pain, but he's giving everything of himself. and it's a quieter fighting, but just as true.

so anthony does fight for kate. and luckily that's where their hea begins. if this were a different kind of story and their path to their hea had continued, idk what we would have seen- maybe we would have seen the louder fighting, maybe we would have seen him follow her to india, idk. but personally, i much prefer this. it felt truer to character and it felt like the right completion to a love story that was just as much about learning to accept that you are worthy of being loved, as much as it was about kate and anthony, and this scene really clinched both of them.
