Just found out Mayumi and Kamiya (Luffy and Law VAs respectively) had a 50 minute twitter space where they dunked on Kid lmao
Kamiya complained about how Kid’s garbage arms took the most budget from animation team. Mayumi wondered if Kid even knew he got special treatment, Kamiya said no way and she went “let’s go beat him up” 😭😭

Synopsis: Adaptation of the 7th volume of the series.
Review Proper
I'm not sure what's gonna end first: the series or my fucking life.
Tumblr media
As much as I love Saezuru, it's gone on for so long that it's starting to get old literally and figuratively. You know, I wouldn't even be mad if Yoneda Kou ended the series by killing Yashiro off in 6. 7 is still well-written to a point and the BLCD did deserve to rank second AGAIN in chil-chil 2022, but I'm not sure about the future of this series (it wasn't nominated in 2023 tho which is one of the few good things about 2023's).
I say a lot of things, but I'm still invested in vol. 7 & 8.
Tumblr media
I don't know who I'm jealous of, BUT THAT SHOULD BE ME! This scene is in vol 8, not 7, but I wanted to include it anyway.
I do agree that Saezuru portrayal of the whole yakuza deal is the realest 'cause happy endings over there are quite rare, but this isn't a novel that comes out in one go. Doesn't help that June is ass. I've heard from several friends who've read the latest releases that it feels like it's lost its way and that just makes me sad. I'm still hopeful tho.🤧
As I've already stated, this placed second in 2022's awards. I mean, it's Saezuru. Frontier doesn't spare a penny for it lmao. All the major characters are voiced, and they managed to bring the A-listers back again. Sometimes, I forget that Saezuru is actually based on a manga whenever I listen to the BLCDs 'cause the production is just that good.
Shingaki slayed as usual. I've said this many times before, but no matter how bad or how well he does in another role, he will always be Yashiro. I just came from Tsunaida and we're in the middle of a Rei event in Nu:carnival, so I would expect myself to adjust to Yashiro, but I didn't need any of that lmao. Yashiro is truly Shingaki's magnum opus. I'm not at all surprised that he placed 3rd best seiyuu for Yashiro. Deserved.
Speaking of Nu:carnival, I will forever be obsessed with Yashiro's relationship with the other characters aside from Doumeki. Nanahara's voiced by my one true love, Okitsu, but like Yashiro, I love him for his character and not his voice. It is nice having the other veterans in here with him, too. The slut trio is complete with Daddy Complex SatoTaku, Boss Ass Chaser Okitsu, and Damel in Distress Shingaki. #BLESS I want Kamiya to end up with Nanahara.
I haven't heard Wacchan in years HAHAHAHAHA. His Doumeki is still amazing as always. My issues with the story aside, I'm really looking forward to his "break" in vol. 8. EEEEEEE
Special mention to my Ryuuzaki and Miyake Kenta who made their comebacks here too. I missed him so much! LMAO
The BLCD is pretty accurate to the... magazine at least, but June does sell the translated tanko (fortunately). Like the previous installments, reading the manga while listening to the BLCD was so smooth because it was so accurate. Now 7 does end in a cliffhanger, so I don't really advise listening to it if you still don't have 8. But if cliffhangers aren't an issue for you, then break a leg!

THANK YOU AGAIN TILLI FOR TRANSLATIONS BELOW💖💖
*Akashi calls (Y/N)* Hello. "Good morning"? You sound like you just woke up. As expected you are still sleeping. Do you remember what day it is today? What do you mean by "what happened"? Did you forget about our promise to go out together?  Looks like you really forgot about it. Hey, what are you saying? "Now is not the time we agreed to meet" you say? Don't worry. Everything is fine, calm down. Calm down and look at the clock. You see? It isn't the time to meet. "So, Why did you call me?" you say? Really? Did you forget that you asked me to wake you up by the phone yesterday? Ah, as expected. You really have your head in the clouds sometimes. That's why I can't take my eyes off you. Haha, don't get mad. I find it very cute. What are you saying? Anyway there is still time, so get ready properly. Ah, I was so excited, so I got up too early. And you... Oh, I said nothing. Never mind. Hm? "I'm happy to hear your voice in the morning" you say? Oh, what are you talking about? But, well, I'm glad to hear that. Because you say strange things, I want to meet you soon. "Me too" you say? Ah, don't say such cute things. A-Anyway I'm really looking forward to our meeting. Get there safely! See you! *call ends*

Oh for the character bingo heheh so. Picking feferi because its funny XD. And then Karamatsu and then Emmet!
Aha! Thanks for asking! ♪(´▽`)
*-Feferi-*
Tumblr media
So Feferi huh? With Feferi I am torn! I was not interested in her during the run of the comic, and her connection to HIC (and *her* treatment of The Ψiioniic) kind of made me distrust her. That being said, I do think the general fandom is rather mean towards her. Saying she's boring is kind of lackluster to me; there's a lot to her, a lot of things that happen as a result of (or lack of) her actions. Blaming her entirely for Eridan's outburst is pretty unfair, I think. I've never been a big fan of the "man going berserk because a woman spurned him, so it's her fault" trope.
I do like her design, though! She does need a bit of a bite for being the "fancy free princess" type. Haha
*-Karamatsu-*
Tumblr media
I didn't start out with Karamatsu as my favorite. I actually went in expecting for Choromatsu to be my favorite (because of Hiroshi Kamiya ehe. I was on a big kick for him at the time.) But this poor cringefail lad who seemed to actually be trying his best won me over.
The other characters make fun of his outfits but. Uh. Other than having his face on it, I like his style a lot. (Sorry Totty, but your outfits are literally the worst. I hate them so much.)
Karamatsu is silly, and does his best, and I want him to be successful in whatever he wants to do. In fact! I want him to be able to do the things he likes while also having a healthy relationship with his brothers. He loves them a lot, even when he gets mad at them, or frustrated with them (or gets ignored by them (>人<;)
*-Emmet-*
Tumblr media
(You may notice there is a faint circle around the SQUEAK square. I didn't fully circle it because it's not my intention to squish the poor lad, it just kind of happens.) Into the salad spinner he goes!!
As you can probably see from how Emmet and his brother have consumed my blog, I am completely normal about him :) I certainly don't think of head-canons and scenarios about him all the time!
Of course, despite me being really normal about him, Emmet is probably my favorite of the twins, if I *HAD* to say I preferred one over the other. He's funny and I like that he's always smiling! I love that he and Ingo are identical twins with matching black and white aesthetics, and are so angled! His relationship with Ingo being slightly different in each version of him is also so interesting!! They're close in all of them, but there are little changes that are so fun to explore.
I choose to think that Hisui's timeline is a completely separate universe, and therefore not the end goal for every version of Emmet and Ingo. Some people seem to want other games (including remakes) to involve the fact that Ingo is lost in Hisui, but I would rather that not happen! Fandom is doing an excellent job experimenting with it, and having something canon that is tragic may just make me too sad (*╯^╰)
Oh yeah! I prefer to call him Kudari when I can! Nobori and Kudari just sound very matching to me, compared to Ingo and Emmet. It's a nice aethetic! But, when I switch between the Japanese names and the English names, it's easier for me to say Emmet than Ingo.

I’m really disappointed in cutting whatever the Aoshi miniarc was going to be in RK: The Final. Aoshi comes back looking more put together than he ever has in this movie series, healed from pain and hurt from the past and operating as a true Oniwaban member again -- in fact he’s the Okashira!
We get a scene of him standing in front of the Kamiya dojo’s motto, ‘to invigorate the heart,’ just stepping inside the dojo and essentially viewing the place that is Kenshin’s home. This thing that Kenshin truly believed and embodied. Kenshin, the guy who showed him mercy and pulled him out of misery and set him on a path of healing. And then we get a flashback of Aoshi getting intel back in Kyoto, ‘Blood will rain in Tokyo. And Battousai is involved.’
He gets intel that Kenshin is getting targeted and that’s why he comes with Misao to Tokyo -- to warn Battousai. But it’s too late. The plot has already started. That’s when Aoshi joins the fight -- completely separately from the main Tokyo gang -- he even catches one of the Jinchuu manifestos/calling cards and takes note.
Then he gets hit saving civilians and then. Never returns to the plot. Ever. That’s it. Not even any footage of him healing and coming back. So. it just looks like. Aoshi. Died??? Huh????
I’m really mad they did that to Aoshi because he really deserves so much better. There was some really subtle acting since Aoshi is not Loud. All his acting is done on his face. He barely talks but I think he conveyed so much in the scenes where he visits the Kamiya dojo. Like the movie implies he came all the way from Kyoto to defend Battousai as...a friend?
And I say this knowing they had something in mind for Aoshi because he’s a huge part of the Jinchuu arc in the manga!!! In the manga the Kaoru death fake out happens and everyone is completely off their game totally inundated, lying around moping and inconsolable.
In walks Aoshi. Pulls out the cords in the Kaoru doll.
Figures out everything in about five minutes, alone.
Like a walking info dump.
Aoshi was a really great turning point in the manga because he pulls everybody out of their depression-funk through sheer unadulterated competence to the scene. Then they get Kenshin on his feet and Aoshi is there sailing with him to Enishi’s murder island to fistfight goonies.
Aoshi deserved better in the movies -- just a scene telling us he was ok would have been enough. Just a scene of him meeting Kenshin again. When all of Kenshin’s friends - including Saito - jumps out to help him clear a path to the Enishi in the final act -- Aoshi! Should have! Been there!!

PRECIOUS || RUBY || FINALE
[♪♪♪]
“I meant what I said. I’m not mad at you.”
Freshly returned to life, Ruby looks just as she did when she first walked through the manor doors. Well– not exactly the same, right? There’s the blonde hair and the familiarly vivid blue eyes, of course, but there’s much about Ruby that will never look quite the same ever again. The spent time at Hellmouth Manor will linger on her like ash- Ever-present in the sharp edges of her haircut. In the little scratches and bruises persisting from one accident or another. In the smile she brandishes now, despite it all.
“But that’s not going to stop me from thrashing your sorry ass.”
It’s Micah that comes to mind first. How they both lied to each other, shamelessly, when they first met. Brick walls made of fear and shame, that seemed to crumble so effortlessly once the two of them actually started talking. The warmth of that memory spreads to her fingertips, and she feels something… rough.
A large gemstone, glittering ruby, in the shape of a heart floats between her hands. She sees herself reflected in the grooves and the bevels, distorted images staring back at her. Relentless and stubborn and angry and all the other pieces of herself that she had tried to cut away.
But it isn’t just her in the reflection. There are images of the chaos in the room around her. The heart becomes overwhelmed with light and sound and the faces of the most important people in her life.
Shoji shines the brightest, of course. The kind of radiance that she wants to be jealous of but, truthfully, just wants to see it glow brighter. She’d compared him to the Sun once, and how apt it feels even now. Warmth that reminds her that there is always room for joy, for laughter, and humor in her heart, no matter how dark it gets.
Mirai and Olwin come into view on either side. Mirror images of the sin of Envy, and her compatriots in that regard. When Ruby holds the heart against her, she can feel the sincerity of Mirai’s hand, assuring her that she wouldn’t have to be alone, teaching her that tenderness and gentleness are not signs of weakness, but a kind of strength that eclipses any show of raw power. And Olwin- it’s nice to put a human face to the name. It suits him, she thinks. It’s a name she’ll always associate with bravery, with resourcefulness, and a truly undying spirit.
Hisashi comes into view next. There's a part of her that’s still quite wary of the man. Miranda, too, and the image of her brings a soft smile back to Ruby’s face. One who showed her the importance of baring one's fangs, to live for oneself. And the other who showed a patience and understanding that Ruby didn’t deserve, but will remain endlessly grateful for.
So many beautiful faces. So many new pieces of her life. Oh, how she hopes to one day have the strength and character to rival Minami. Or a levity on par with Kamiya. Hell, even the composure and tenacity of someone like Arisa.
Whether she considers them friends or not, everyone here in this manor is someone important to her. All of it, all of them, are a part of her now.
Moreso than the manor itself, the people inside of it have changed Ruby.
And then there’s Alou. The centerpiece, as it were. One could argue he is the most important person of them all. Were it not for him, she wouldn’t be here, and she wouldn’t have any of these people- these connections- to begin with. But, when Ruby sees Alou reflected in the heart, she starts to press it against her palm, squeezing until shimmering, spider web-like fractures start to form across its surface.
“This is where it ends for you.”
Slowly, bits and pieces of the gemstone start to fall away. Chips and shards break free, and an intense, almost fiery sort of light starts to spill from somewhere deep inside of it.
“But, for me…? This is just the beginning.”
Ruby closes her fist, and the heart shatters. Pieces of useless rock fall to her feet and scatter apart- shiny, but unimportant. No, the important part was always what was locked away deep inside.
To be honest, she had half-expected it to be completely empty. Something spills out, though. Heavy, but comforting, and long enough that unwinds all the way to the floor. A chain- intertwined metal links of cobalt and scarlet. Another very important person comes to mind and Ruby, under her breath, asks her sister for one last favor.
“Hey, Sapphire, lend me some of your confidence, won’t you? For real, this time. Not just some silly little mask I can put on to feel better about myself.”
She tests the chain’s weight in her hand, swinging it over her head in a wide arc. It almost feels effortless, but it brings up another smile as it reminds Ruby of the long ribbons she and her sister used to play with when they did gymnastics together. The next swing tests the chain’s length, and it clears the length of the room easily, winding and tangling itself around one of Alou’s wrists as Ruby keeps the tension of the chain pulled taut.
“Whatever happens to you, after this…”
Another flick of her wrist, and the chain rearranges itself to wind across several of Alou’s limbs.
“I hope you’re able to find peace. Love, too. The real kind, I mean.”
Once more, Ruby pulls the chain tight, allowing gravity and physics and the crushing weight of her resolve to do the rest of the work.
“I’m sorry it couldn’t be in this life. Better luck… next time.”

Wade Rivers (Jacob Batalon) is a changeling with a lot of knowledge inside his head which makes him a good friend or ally to have but at the Salvatore Boarding School, he's - unfortunately - a prime target for quick witted and sharp tongued people like Alyssa Chang. Wade knows as much about technology as Floribeth does and the two get on like a house on fire.
He might pretend to be a bumbling fool but make no mistake: Wade is very good at making deals and he does nothing for free. Not even for the people he loves. At all times, he knows what's going on in Salvatore's hallowed halls. Knows who loves who and who hates you. Currently, he's trying to gather up the courage to speak to Brock (Jacques Colimon), a member of the Salvatore school pack.
When Derek Machado (Derek Theler) was a human, he loved Paige Billingsley (Stella Maeve) to the point of absolute madness and that didn't stop after he got turned into a vampire. If anything, his love for her only grew. And so did his despair at her passing. He would have gone to the ends of the Earth for her. Would have walked through fire for her. Would have done anything for her. Would have done anything to get her back from the clutches of death.
Derek lived with Paige's pack in Tennessee until Klaus Mikaelson sought to create his own hybrid army. It didn't work. Many people, including Derek's best friend Ray Sutton, died. Paige died as well. Derek did, too. But he died with Klaus' blood in his system. Instead of dying like he thought he would, he made it through and had no choice but to complete the transition into a vampire, much to his own horror. His grief only amplified, for the majority of the Billingsley pack were all but decimated, bodies torn apart, unable to be identified, unable to be buried. He had no one to turn to. No one to understand his hurt and rage and fear and utter contempt for the monster who took everything from him. So Derek took Paige's body, fled the scene and ended up burying her in Maple Hollows, where she was originally from.
Each year, he visits Paige's grave on her death day and it was during his most recent visit that he turned Floribeth who was at the wrong place in the wrong time. Of course, he felt bad about turning the kid but not enough to step up as her sire. Not enough to help her with her memory issues after the transition took and she got turned. No, he did what he does best: fleeing the scene. Hiding out. Laying low. His last known whereabouts are Savannah, Georgia, where Maya Machado and her mother Marguerite are living.
Once word reached his ears that Klaus Mikaelson had a child, however, the wheels in his head started turning and he made his way back to Mystic Falls. Klaus took his heart, his hope, when he got Paige killed and now, Derek will do the same to him by figuring out a way to kill his only child and devoting the rest of his existence to see it done.
Druscilla Kamiya (Lyrica Okano) is Floribeth's former roommate and former friend. Part of the same coven as the flirty witch and the sewing witch, Druscilla has fought against Triad during their siege of the school and has participated in Coven Day.
Druscilla is blunt and tells it like it is, even if you don't necessarily want to hear it. Especially if you don't want to hear it. For instance, she'll be the first to tell you - and has reminded Floribeth countless of times, despite the fact that it hurts - that romantic interspecies relationships just won't work out due to the fact that vampires are immortal and werewolves just age slower.
Nowadays, Druscilla and Floribeth don't talk anymore; Floribeth has since stopped considering her a friend due to the fact that Druscilla has been shitty to Floribeth's new roommate, Faith Cassidy. Druscilla also made it quite clear that she will break up the Anti Squad if it means that she gets Loren Bennett in her coven. She has been making derisive comments in regards to Mia Hirsch' background and lycantrophy too.

"Hello there Eve! Considering Levi and Erwin's exchange the day before the Shinganshina battle, what do you exactly think is the reason Levi wanted to prevent Erwin from going to the war? Do you think it's because he was simply worried about him or there's more to it?"
Haha sorry but this one sounds like a shy Erwin x Levi trying to make Eve say something about Erwin and Levi relationship
Look I'm not against (if true) shipping them but you oughta stop running away from the MANGA content and looking for something outside. Even less seiyuus who are pro fanservice and in Kamiya's case, the guy received threats when his fujo fans discovered he was married and had a child
Ok, MANGA content: You totally missed or forgot that part where Hanji is mad about Keith cowardice. Levi has way more reasons to be worried about since he learned by accident that Erwin wasn't fighting for Humanity. Then he started to test him by asking him what would he do after the fight.
As much as selfish Erwin was for having his own ulterior motive, Erwin is necessary for Humanity (aka Paradis until then), they need him. So Levi's test is:
1. If Erwin chooses to fight risking his life for his own dream that means he didnt put Humanity priority by staying behind in a safest position
2. If Erwin chooses the logical option and stays behing safe leading them, then they can advance. But the guy wanted to see the basement too much
And ISAYAMA'S words said Levi felt betrayed even. Obviously Levi was also worried for him and everyone too, but I would like for people to stop forgetting all the other Levis scenes and thinking he cant have his own opinion and way to test people
Let's not accuse people of things haha.
I agree with your other points though. Levi stated his reasons for wanting Erwin to stay. Erwin's death was a genuine concern for him, but he also was probably testing Erwin and maybe wanted to force him to admit the truth about his true motives.

I love the soulmates au for daiya boys!!! Could you do a part 2 with the Inashiro boys (Mei, Shirkawa, Carlos, Itsuki)? Im kinda curious as to how they would find their soulmate
- :]
hi anon :)) i had started on a continuation of my soulmate au post, but i haven't thought of doing the inashiro boys! thanks for requesting <3
soulmate au's daiya characters would fit into pt. 2
including: narumiya mei, shirakawa katsuyuki, kamiya carlos toshiki, itsuki tadano
part 1 | part 3 | part 4
narumiya mei au: tattoo of the age you'll be when you meet your soulmate
when mei was younger, he was always mad that his tattoo age was so far away
it was only 23 (that big baby)
but now that he's been out of high school and college
and he's about to play for the nippon-ham fighters
really scares him
because he's now 23
lucky for him, the first game is on his 23rd birthday
he wasn't expecting to meet his soulmate anytime soon
since he had an entire year
but you were the opposite
it was the day before your 22nd birthday
and the number on your wrist said 21
so when you ran into him at the game
literally
you somehow knew it was him
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
shirakawa katsuyuki au: soulmates can feel each other's strong emotions
you were always an emotional person
and you knew when you finally meet your soulmate, you were going to apologize to them
because you always would have strong emotions
but in return, you wouldn't get much back
so you always felt bad
finding out shirakawa was your soulmate was an experience on its own
you literally had the fattest crush on him
so you couldn't ever approach him
but you went to all his games
and when they had beat seido to go to nationals
you had started balling out of joy
he did too LMAO
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
kamiya carlos toshiki au: soulmates share the same special accessory
at a certain age, everyone receives an item, whether it be a hat, necklace, etc
you received a bracelet
and wore it everywhere
one day narumiya approached you
which scared you because it usually meant he was going to irritate you
but instead he started talking about how he's seen that bracelet before
but he didn't know where from
great, thanks mei that helps a lot
a few days later, you were paired with carlos for a group project
and what do you know?
he's wearing the same bracelet as you
how anticlimactic lol
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
itsuki tadano au: red string of fate
the funny thing about the red string of fate is that close friends and family can see someone's red string
so when you had become friends with itsuki
your friends would always tease you
but you always thought it was because they knew that you've had a crush on him for the longest time
but then the baseball boys would start teasing the two of you when you guys would hang out together
so eventually you thought something was up
you had to ask your friends what was wrong
and they told you that you two were soulmates
you ended up slapping them because they didn't tell you before

The Spark of Something Deadly
3 notes, from 3 separate maids, all at 3 separate dates.
Year 1
Charles, or the Marquess for that matter, is quite off for a child his age. He does not speak much, if at all. If anything, he just whines about how boring everything is. The Duke does not care, however, but would rather have him put in his room. Isn’t it a bit too harsh to lock the door, though?
He’s a child… I think it’s better for him to go out and play with younger kids, but don’t tell the Duke that!
Year 4
This morning, I saw a haunting sight! I was cleaning up the kitchen for breakfast when I stumbled upon the Master’s son. He had found himself a lighter and was trying to torch the curtains! I immediately dropped everything and grabbed the tool out of his hand. I checked his hands after, and it looked like he had been burning himself, so I called the family physician right away.
But the nerve of this child… he looked at me like I was annoying him! He could have destroyed the whole house!
Year 5
This was the final straw for all of us! This mad child burnt down his own room! With a grinning smile and sadistic laugh too, mind you! He must be possessed by something, or got some mental disease from his dead whore of a mother. Either way, he’s too dangerous to be in the house, especially now that he’s developed that demonic fire magic.
Today was his birthday as well. He’ll be 16, but it appears his stay with us is finally over. Duke Vincent shall be sending him off to a college until he graduates.
Good riddance!

I'm surprised people see Tadashi as the victim in his relationship with Ainosuke, when it's Tadashi the one who time and time again takes away Ainosuke's agency, without being able to see that he is throwing him unto unhappiness. I can't help but think that if Tadashi was not working at Shindo's house, Ainosuke would have maybe left or broke with the family. But he can't do that if he wants the relationship with Tadashi going on, seing how Tadashi is set on enforcing the family rules...
Hmm.. I def agree with the fact that Tadashi is not what most fandom makes out of him, my man (I mean, Adam’s man) is a 100% Slytherin. But I disagree with blaming him for this, after all the revealed info. The environment they were both raised in made their situation complicated.
I like Tadashi a lot, he’s probably my fav thing about this anime, bc he’s a dark horse, and I’m once again surprised, that so little ppl see him for who he really is, portraying him as an innocent puppy, which he is definitely not.
Now to why I think both Tadashi and Adam are victims of the dad and aunties in this situation.
We can of course say “if only they told each other how they really feel...”, but like we can say it about any love story really. Every author knows it’s no fun. The truth is that yes, they both hurt each other, and yes, if they were honest about their feelings things would’ve been different, but as I’ve already wrote under that “toxic” commentary on YT, lets look at the whole situation from both of their point of views:
We know that Adam when he was little always treated Tadashi as an equal, he never ever thought of him as someone lower than him and after their fall out, the only reason for this “harsh” treatment (well, besides their confirmed kink) was that Adam tried to get a reaction out of him, so Tadashi would stand up for himself, bc Ainosuke got mad about Tadashi caving to his dad’s wishes and abandoning him, when he needed him the most.
But now, knowing the fact that Tadashi was his dad’s secretary and was under his control, let’s see it from his perspective: Tadashi wanted to stay by Adam’s side, Adam’s dad implied that if Tadashi did say smth, he’s gonna be.. well, dismissed and they won’t see each other ever again. That’s what caused Tadashi to stay silent in that moment. Ainosuke instead saw this as a “he’s not on my side” thing, well, because. Tadashi won’t tell him his problem, bc dad and aunties control everything, so even if he does tell him, what a teen would do really? He didn’t have any powers back then to make his dad do anything.
And that’s when it all gone to shit, since they both were hurt for their own reasons. It’s easy to say leave the family, but 1stly nobody explained to Adam still that he’s physically and psychologically abused by his family, he sees it as them “loving him” and sadly also loves them, bc nobody told him, that love wasn’t supposed to be like that really. He definitely feels that smth is not right and feels emotionally exhausted there bc of this treatment, but did he ever consider leaving? I really don’t think so. He feels obligated to be worthy of a family, who “loves” him.
Do you think, for example, that Akashi Seijuro hates his dad for what he did to him? No. Does he understand that he wasn’t at fault for what happened to him and that his dad instead of comforting his child after his mother’s death, who was his only safe haven, made everything worse? I don’t think he does. Like his mom gave him basketball, an escape from all that family’s obligations and strictness. After her death, it was the only thing left that brought him joy, but his dad ruined even that, saying that if he’s gonna be bad at it/lose, he’d take it away from him too. Does Akashi see this as emotional abuse? No, he sees it like “well, I have to be the best bc I was born in such powerful family, so if my dad says that I must be best at everything, then I must.”
I personally hate such parents a lot. To me it doesn’t matter if Adam’s dad didn’t know about aunties hitting his child. Like if he was too busy to notice this and have no time for his kid and made his childhood miserable, it doesn’t make it any better really.
Same as with Akashi’s dad. Some are like “he was probably also grieving about his wife”. Emm? He was like this from the beginning, bc he treated Akashi not as his son, but as his heir. And yes, that’s different things. Same with Endeavor and Todoroki. Your child is not your post production thing.
2ndly they were too young, even if they knew about each others feelings and he didn’t feel obligated and told everyone to fuck off, they’d be on the streets now, but also Adam’s dad doesn’t seem like a guy who’d leave them alone really. Also eloping seems very romantic, but I don’t think it is, esp when you’re teens. Did you want him to sell some expensive watch and go live on Hawaii or smth? Bc finding a decent job there would be difficult at this age, esp with everyone knowing who your dad is. Chen Ke from “Antidote” survived bc he was 27 and had connections and some great friends. Adam was in high school, where would he go exactly?
Now let’s go back to now. Obviously all this time it didn’t even cross Tadashi’s mind that for Ainosuke he comes first and that he would throw everyone under the bus to make Tadashi stay with him. As we see at the end, he legit believed that Adam was planning to send him to jail and didn’t get that he said it just to shaken he up and that he knew who he’d set up for this from the beginning.
To Adam obviously it doesn’t matter whether they’re in a quarrel or not, he would never him go. Yes, he’s mad at him, he’s angry and hurt, but Tadashi’s still the person he needs the most, he’s still the person who brightens his days, even tho he deliberately behaves like he annoys him. He always looks at him and looks at him and looks at him, but then hisses smth to hurt him. Bc he knows that he needs him, but he also hates that he needs him, bc he thinks it’s unrequited.
And that’s how their classic romance goes in hellish circles. No one wants to talk as usual. Adam is mad Tadashi is like that bc his dad turned him into a slave with no opinion, while Tadashi is scared that Adam would be taken away from him bc of his ugly family.
Now I still think that no one and I mean no one can take Tadashi from Adam now, he is his precious. So my plan is... if Tadashi made aunties do smth against him or to get rid of him, aunties will go for sure. The problem is Tadashi still doesn’t get that he comes first, so we’re stuck in this hell still.
So anyways, my point is Adam’s heart basically sings “you got a hold of me, don’t even know your power” to Tadashi, but he doesn’t hear it, bc of his insecurities, the way he was raised and his status. But yes, he holds all the power. He’s both Adam’s sanity and insanity. No matter how cheesy it sounds he was basically his only ray of sunshine in the darkness, if you take it away, that’s what it leads to, that’s why Ainosuke-sama needs more ppl who care for him. I don’t want anyone to die next time, just cause Tadashi and Adam fought about where to put their new couch lmao. I’m kidding, but you know what I mean. And kill the aunties, pls seriously, we need to be free.
Also ppl need to remember that like lots of animes/characters are parcially inspired by some other animes/characters, also the chosen seiyuus are also very important, there are lots of stuff like jokes and references, that creators use, from characters being fully inspired by smth like “Assassination classroom” characters based on KNB, to little stuff like Levi dressed in Akashi’s uniform in chibi AOT bc Hiroshi Kamiya. Utsumi already said before stuff like she sometimes think of a perfect voice for the character and then fully forms him, we also know her clear love for sports animes. So yes, I doubt Tadashi/Kuroko thing is a coincidence and even tho someone was like “zone? is this knb or smth?” I was like no, zone is actually a common thing in sports, even tho most associate it with KNB including me, it’s not like its their invention, but there were things inspired by this for sure, and from other sports animes too and no, I don’t mean the basic sports anime tropes, I mean, like way too specific things, some character designes, too. And yes, Langa appearence and personality wise is a rinharu child for real, I can literally split his scenes in “that’s Haru”, “that’s Rin”.
That’s why I’ve said that this situation in fandom reminds me of Kuroko/Akashi situation a lot, bc same as here in KNB ppl for some reason automatically thought that Kuroko is this innocent sheep and Akashi is the wolf (but also like it was Akashi who chose to dress as red riding hood, while Kuroko was a wolf lmao), not even seeing who is in reality more dangerous and who can easily control who. It just buffles me bc it’s not some deep analisys really. I mean once again there’s a reason for the saying that the sub holds all the power over the dom.
And like just bc someone yells or threatens ppl constantly doesn’t necessarily mean he is a psycopatic killer, and just bc someone is quiet and doe-eyed, doesn’t mean he isn’t. I didn’t think we needed to explain this to someone, but aparently we do?
And it honestly kills me just how superficially ppl are watching things these days. It really gives me war flashbacks to stuff like the last mdzs s1 episode, where ppl started to comment things like “how LZ can be so heartless” lmao. Or that anonymous ask “do you think haru misses rin?”. Like you don’t see thing at all? Grey substance no needed, while watching things?
P.S. I also would die to see Adam vs Tadashi race just bc I for some reason can bet all my money, that it’s the same situation as with Akashi refusing to ankle break Kuroko, no matter how mad he is. I just can’t imagine Ainosuke hitting Tadashi in the face with a board. Like 100% sure he wouldn’t even try tbh.

Yeah ok, you asked for it.
An Unexpected Invitation
Part 2
He had never really, truly known silence. Even when he was alone, there is always that buzzing sound inside his head. Sometimes if he listened closely enough it would sound like the sharpest blade slicing through silk and flesh. Or if not that, then the softest exhale of a last dying breath; or the whispering sound of snow falling on snow.
There’s a Japanese word for that, shinshin.
One of the few things that he actually liked about this god forsaken country: the beauty of his own language. Though he so very rarely used it in all the years that he had spent in China, he was pleased that it was not lost to him. Unlike everything else that tied him to his motherland.
Not that China as a country is any better than Japan, but at least it wasn’t filled with ghosts that haunted him. And they were many; all the ghosts inside his head. Tomoe was just one of them. He wasn’t bothered by it. She’d smile at him inside his head and everything else would just fade away. It was just her and her smile and he was content.
Yukishiro Enishi had not expected any kind of silence inside his cell, which unfortunately faced the alleyway that the police used to move captured criminals, either in and out of the prison. There was always someone unruly, heavily protesting the indignation of being bound and dragged inside the building. If it wasn’t that it was pitiful wailing, asking for forgiveness, begging for another chance. Worst were the angry screams of denial, the insistence of their innocence. It annoyed him endlessly.
Reading Oneesan’s diary diminished the vulgar noises hounding him. With her diary clutched in his hand, it was just him and her words. He would gently turn the pages, trace the ink on paper and as he read it, he hear his sister’s voice. It calmed him down. Most of the time, at least. There had been a night of pure rage and the agony; finding out how his sister had hidden her true heart from him. He’d slammed his fist against the walls, banged his head until he thought it would crack open and all of his craziness will just spill out from his split head.
Why, neesan? Why couldn’t you have trusted me enough to let me know what you were planning?
But it had only been the briefest of moments where he felt betrayed. In the end, even with Tomoe’s diary, nothing could waver his conviction of his sister’s faultlessness in everything that had happened to them. Neesan had taken care of him ever since he could remember, his first memories had been of her touch, her eyes, her voice singing lullabies well into the night. She had tried to make everything better and she had the courage to marry the man that had slain her own love. But she had ultimately been too soft, too trusting. She had a woman’s kind and gentle heart and had allowed Battousai’s despicable lies to change her resolve for vengeance.
Would it have made any difference if he had known what neesan had really felt?
He doubted it. The mere presence of Battousai in their life invited danger and death. And he remembered how it made him feel so deeply ashamed that the hitokiri was living with his sister, tainting her with the blood of his victims.
There was no reason for him to feel deceived by his beloved neesan. Battousai would have, one way or another, caused her death. It doesn’t matter how. Testament to this was the fact that even now, despite having distorted himself into the foolishness of a rurouni – a shameful farce of trying to atone for his sins – the woman he had chosen, the Kamiya girl that Enishi had taken and failed to kill, had been subjected to several abductions and all sorts of regrettable torture. From almost choking to death from Udō Jin-e’s curse to nearly drowning when she’d been thrown out of The Rengoku, Battousa had turned her into a target. One that he had not been able to properly protect.
How many times had Battousai failed that woman? More times that Enishi could care count.
Battosai was cursed. All the lives that he touches, he befouls. And eventually, he does not even have to wield his joke of a sword, in the end, they will all turn into nothing but torn silk and spilled blood against pristine white snow.
----------------
It didn’t take long for the Mibu Wolf to come and visit him. They had taken him to a room barely lighted by the lone overhead lantern, madly swinging and throwing dark shadows around him. He would have snorted at this childish game that Saitō Hajime, now known as Fujita Gorō, had chosen to play. Did he think that he was someone that could be so easily intimidated? Did he need any reminder of what he was capable of, weaponless except for a child’s toy, on the trin when he had allowed to arrest him? Or was this some sort of insult that he was supposed to angrily respond to?
Enishi felt no emotion to be honest, even when Saitō started laying down all the documents that he had been able to confiscate from wherever he’d gotten them. It wasn’t until a signed confession from the useless Heishin that Enishi felt just a twinge of irritation. He should have bashed that bastard’s skull.
Wordlessly, he picked the paper, idly glancing at it before tossing it back, silently fluttering to the floor.
The wolf bared his teeth.
Did the government ordered the ever-reliable Fujita-san to ask him the names of all the ten battleships that he had? Because Shishio’s Rengoku was the smallest of those ships. Shishio Makoto was all fight and salivating insanity but he hardly had any money to sustain his quest for war. Enishi had practically given that battleship for free and it was purely out of curiosity. He had gotten into so much trouble with the Chinese organization that helped him obtain those ships. He had to pay it out of his own pocket but it was all worth it.
He had wanted to see just how far Shishio could get in a fight with Battousai. Not so much as it turned out. He couldn’t even properly bomb Tokyo as he had wanted to. It was all so very disappointing but not in the least bit surprising. These Hitokiri’s were mere berserkers, nothing refined in the way they planned their attacks. To defeat their enemy was all, kill, kill, kill and it bored him.
He kept his silence as Saitō explained how he had taken him this long to piece together everything that he needed to ensure that Yukishiro Enishi will be tried as a spy, a traitor to the Meiji Government and for that, they both know that the punishment is death.
Blah blah blah blah
Did the ex-captain of the Shinsengumi (first squad – he made you remember that at least, like it was supposed to mean something to anyone) now a special agent for the Meiji Government's Department of Internal Affairs, really think that he would be bothered by his impending death? Or a lifetime of imprisonment? Anything that they throw at him would only be a shadow of what he had gone through in Shanghai. The years of suffering from hunger and humiliation, disease and violence, training on his own to perfect his own fighting style?
Enishi was prepared to die and meet his sister once again.
Unless, and here, the cunning wolf flicked his still lit cigarette – a foul thing – over Enishi’s shoulder, the heat and ashes leaving a trail against his cheeks. He would kill him for that, Enishi thought, unblinkingly.
And then, the wolf leaned forward to tempt the tiger.
-----------------
Freshly released from prison, all of his papers proving the pardon so generously afforded to him by a government desperate to stop another war shoved inside the pocket of his jacket, Enishi calmly shook any traces of gunpowder residue from his hands. His now emptied warehouse (damn, the government for confiscating everything) was lighted with flames that will spread quickly enough. It would be a massive fire and Fujita-san would probably disapprove, but he did not, quite frankly, give a fuck.
He kept his head low, unhurriedly weaving in and out the crowd, trying to be as inconspicuous as possible. His height has some disadvantages, true but he was still weaponless and without his watō slung against his shoulder, he looked like the usual foreigner traipsing around Tokyo, not a care in the world.
The Mibu Wolf will only give him his sword back if he could get the Kamiya-girl to agree. And something tells Enishi that this was really more to piss off Battousai than anything else. What a tiring game these two old fools were playing, but he will play along. He had nothing else to do anyway. And besides, his watō was at stake. He could probably just steal it from, escape Japan and just live out his life somewhere far from this madness but then, where’s the fun in that?
He had allowed himself a leisurely walk towards the dojo, the constant sound of summer surrounding him: tiny voices of children playing inside their yard, underneath the shaded trees; parents calling out for a refreshing sip of cold water; that buzzing sound inside his head.
He always had sensitive hearing, a secret weapon that he had incorporated to his Watōjutsu. It was a source of pride, how this swordskill is known only to him and how it could have finally defeated Battousai had that stupid Heishin ruined his plan. Kami, if the wolf had not killed him yet, he would be looking for him soon enough.
------------------
Enishi stood by the familiar entryway of the dojo, tilted his head and confirmed the only presence inside. He pushed the wooden gate and wordlessly walked inside, heading straight to the engawa, where for the first time in his entire life, he hears nothing but silence as he stared down at the Kamiya girl sprawled on the floor, napping it seemed.
Her dark hair was fanned around her face, not in a flattering way, to be honest. But the contrast of her hair and her skin and the peach-colored kimono she was wearing, riding a little high on her legs, exposing her knees, made her look almost --- precious.
No, no. He shook his head. Not precious, but so exposed and vulnerable. He glanced around him. No bokken in sight. And defenseless. Again, Battousai had left her like this? This supposed ruruoni must be addle-brained and as inept as Heishin. They both deserve to die.
But yes, how odd. Enishi thought, not even the sound of their breathing. Because he was certain that they were both breathing. He could feel the steady beating of his heart and as he squinted at her prone form, the rise and fall of her chest was quite obvious in her partially opened kimono.
The sight offered him a brief distraction and he had been just the tiniest bit surprised when she suddenly woke up and threw a tea cup at him.
Maybe not so vulnerable and defenseless then.
-------------------
She was feisty. He hadn’t known that she had it in her to fight like that. Clumsily and rather slow, but it could be that she was wearing a kimono, restricting her movement. He could not find fault in her fighting stance and with the way she swung her bokken, with outmost conviction, Enishi was certain she could lay waste to Heishin's pathetic bodyguards. Her skills were better than theirs at least and this was probably the highest compliment he was forced to give to a girl.
Her battle cry was also impressive. It brought back his hearing at least.
Now he could hear every whistling sound the bokken made as it sliced through the air; her panting breath, the way she muttered curses at him.
She was so very, very angry and he had done absolutely nothing to her but ask her if was already married. A rather important detail that he needed confirmation on if was really going to follow through with the wolf's sadistic plan.
Enishi needed her to calm down otherwise, he’d be forced to defend himself and then he would end up straddling, arms pinned above her – because that was the only way to get her to stop trying to hit him. Being motherless and growing up with his sister, Enishi thought he knew how to handle women or at least girls. But this Kamiya-girl, with her angry breathing and needless cursing was quite a surprise. The women he had dealt with in China were really almost similar to the women in Japan: docile and soft spoken, but apparently not this woman.
Was this the ruruoni’s choice? Or the Battousai? Enishi wondered if her violent temper triggered something in his worthless brother-in-law, because he could not understand how exactly did anyone take her so easily when she was like this?!
Another swing from her bokken and that was just an inch away from his nose.
The triumphant gleam in her eyes told him that she was aware of this and to prevent any further violence, Enishi finally stepped forward, which she must have taken as gesture of surrender, because she met him head on, bokken raised high on her head.
He grabbed it easily, tossing it away and wondering if he would have to break every damn bokken inside this training hall just to make her stop. Curiously, he asked her, without his formulated explanation because, really, he had forgotten everything that he had been planning to tell her, if she had wanted to go to Shanghai with him – well, it effectively shut her up, her whole body suddenly immobilized by surprise.
He let two seconds pass before he provoked her yet again with, “Is that a yes, Kamiya-san?”
Her eyes blazed and then, completely out of nowhere and totally unprepared for it, her fist connected with his nose.
It knocked off his eyeglasses and now ---- now he is pissed.

So I guess, tbc?!

Ace of Hamilton
Inspired by @tendou-tho’s Hamilton x Haikyuu. I don't think a lot of people are in both fandoms, but we're doing this anyway. Creative freedom y'all.
---------------
Starring...
Miyuki Kazuya as Alexander Hamilton
Harada Masatoshi as Aaron Burr
Yui Kaoru as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton
Kamiya Carlos Toshiki as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson
Maezono Kenta as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison
Kuramochi Youichi as Angelica Schuyler
Sawamura Eijun as Elizabeth Schuyler
Furuya Satoru as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds
Takigawa Chris Yuu as George Washington
Tanba Koichiro as Samuel Seabury
Todoroki Raichi as Charles Lee
Sanada Shunpei as James Reynolds/The Doctor
Okumura Koushuu as George Eacker
Narumiya Mei as King George III
Kominato Haruichi as The Bullet
----------
Behind the scenes!
Tetsu and Jun are the director/assistant directors
The managers (Takako, Sacchin, Yui, Haruno, Anna and Akane) are managers! They're in charge of costume, set and props.
Ryousuke used to be the bullet, but Haruichi has since taken over that role. Ryou steps in whenever needed and has also become an understudy for the side antagonists (Seabury, Eacker, etc.)
(I don't really know what to call them, so "side antagonists" it is)
Itsuki is Harada's understudy for Burr.
The Kominatos' hair stands out a lot, but they tried wigs one time and promptly decided against it.
Furuya is super stiff in the beginning, but he has a good voice for Maria, so they kept working with him until he was less awkward.
In the first part of "The Schuyler Sisters", he's not really petulant, but more resigned/tired.
Okumura gets WAY too into badmouthing Miyuki and duelling Yui. On the bright side, that means his performance is immaculate.
Tanba gets messed up doing "Farmer Refuted" in rehearsals so many damn times
Sawamura's rendition of "Burn" is godly. He also does very convincing fake crying.
Mei is basically the reincarnation of King George III. He's also very distracting prancing around the sides in Act II. Harada keeps telling him to "quit showing off"
The cast almost definitely messes around backstage or between shows. They swap roles and mess up the choreography while the actual actors of said roles shake their heads on the sidelines.
Somebody took two of the prop guns and now there's a dramatic mock duel happening in the middle of nowhere. One of them is still in their socks and the other is wearing half their costume. Someone is humming “Ten Duel Commandments” as background music to the duel. Sacchin is looking for those props and is very mad.
----------
A look into the casting process…
The decision on who to cast as Washington was a toss-up between Tetsu and Chris.
A lot of interactions in the canon series were considered!
For example, Misawa as Hamilton/Eliza and Kuramochi being Eijun's big brother (or in this case, sister) figure.
Those were some of the casting decisions I had since the start, along with ones like Maezono as Mulligan/Madison, Mei as King George III, and either Kominato as the Bullet.
Roles that gave me a thousand and one headaches were Burr, Laurens, Lafayette, Peggy, Lee, Reynolds and Eacker.
Deciding on Okumura as Eacker and Yui as Philip was an eureka moment for me. Both decisions were made at the same time. I totally forgot about The Laurens-Lee duel, but not everything can fit perfectly anyway. I must admit I got very excited at the prospect of Okumura duelling Yui. Rather fitting, isn’t it?
I'd like to think that the others who didn't get roles are ensemble, backstage crew or technicians.
I didn't wanna cast characters from schools outside of Seido at first, but I COULD NOT stop thinking about Mei as King George III and it just. It had to be done.
The initial inspiration I had for this was actually the Kominatos as the Schuyler sisters, with Ryou as Angelica and Haruichi as Eliza, in which case Hamilton might've been Mochi. But that was more of a funny "what-if" which I didn't expand on very much.

Okay, so I feel like telling you a bit about one of the fics I had on my other phone and lost...you probably know the story if you've been on my blog for some time. (If not, welcome I guess !)
That one fic was my first ever onkm fic, written in French, roughly 4k to 6k words, so yeah, pretty long for my standards (I do write very short chapters, but hey, I guess that's my writing style).
So, I believe I've mentioned it before, but my first fic was an omegaverse, and you might be thinking 'how ironic since now your fics are all soft and non-kinky' but umm...yeah, no.
First of all, I do not like most omegaverse fics. It's...well, too kinky for my taste, but it's also lacking in respect and feelings. It's also kinda sexist, since omegas are pretty much 'male-females'.
So, why would I write one, you might be asking yourself. (By the way no, my tastes did not change that much in one year).
This fic was the story of Kamiya, an omega with lots of internalized prejudices about omegas that hides his true identity and dates female omegas, passing as a beta. But the thing is, he wants kids, and can't make them with a woman. So, he asks Ono, an alpha, because he trusts him, and kinda hopes that he would help him raising the kid. Ono agrees to both making the baby and raising them. (At this point, the baby isn't born but I can tell you it would be a girl)
So, they make the baby. As they're having clumsy (but enjoyable) sex, they both smell the other without knowing it and there's a whole misunderstanding about the smells being their perfumes. At some point, they start to see a red thread tying and bonding them together, and they realize they're stupid. And as Ono already agreed to raise the baby, they tell themselves that they can be more honest about their feelings.
It's not romantic feelings from the start. They start with clumsy signs of affection, Ono supports Kamiya through the start of his pregnancy, with lots of hugs and affectionate gestures. At some point, Ono confesses his love, and they start dating, and it's all romantic and fluffy, you know my style.
The thing is, as you might have noticed, this work was not kinky at all. This kind of society was purely there to highlight the fact that Hiroshi and Daisuke were activists. They would give speeches on the radio about the importance of respecting omegas in a serious-but-not-serious attitude.
This society was an omegaverse with my own touch. In this world, male omegas were rare af, so homophobia existed. Omegas were women, so there was a lot of sexism, but somehow, having a male omega as a protagonist made the sexism even more blatant, because Kamiya was depicted as a man, as manly as he is irl, and people would think it is weird in that society. This fic told the story of a couple, supporting each other through hard times, caring for a baby, completely equal and loving, trying to teach respect.
There was sex in this fic, but like, sensual and loving and respectful and they would switch every once in a while because I don't like uke/seme dynamics when it's not respectful and this could have been the case in an omegaverse (and I think they would switch anyway).
To sum up, this fic was cute, feminist, in a hard world (quite similar to the one we live in...), and while I'm sure it had lots of flaws, I wish omegaverses were used to denounce more, because the archetype itself is kind of dystopic-y and it's really interesting and I'm so mad I lost that fic.

Ah, Onto Where Night Will End || Yukiko and Hibiki || Re: take the future
[♫♫♫]
“You can be free.”
Resonant.
Hibiki glances around, at the fallen Micah, at the massive, hulking beast that they once knew as Alou, at the group who came here together with the singular purpose of taking their lives back.
And he looks in his own hand, feeling the pulse of his own soul between his fingertips.
And he looks over at Yukiko, human once more and turned away from the madness. He grabs her by the shoulder, his other hand pointed up and aiming his soul at their target.
“Hey. I think there’s something we have to do.”
As she had promised, in her never ending wealth of conceit, Yukiko has her back fully turned to Alou. She glanced over, looking up from examining her cuticles, when Olwin or Mirai spoke, or, Hibiki - the only people she cared to invest any interest or time in. Villain monologues are normally funny, but this one is sad and pathetic in a way that makes it unfun to watch or indulge.
She smooths her hair down and looks over at Hibiki with a hum, before glancing at Alou, unwilling to pass the chance to be a bitch.
“Geez, come on Ally, you can’t even keep Miccy on a leash? Do you even want to win? Did you even try? I can’t tell if you’re conceited or just stupid. If this is your best effort, then… How pitiful. Escort yourself off stage with what little grace you possess. You couldn’t even manage to make the world's worst people worse. I think some people might say I had a grinch moment, my heart grew a few sizes - gross - come onnn Ally, I killed Mandy out of boredom and even I’m cringing at you.”
“Take a good hard look at what's left of you in the mirror,if you can stand the sight - I know I can’t -  and shudder a what you’ve become.Worthless failure, not worthy of even the idea of love,”  Yukiko sneers, as always, lips pulled back in a shark-like motion, like a predator ready to rip out the throat of her prey.
But it shifts right to a very normal and warm smile when she looks over at Hibiki. “What is it, Hibi? I wasn’t paying attention, sowwy.”
He returns her smile, glancing upwards once more at Alou, at the architect of their sorrows.
“Follow my lead,” He asks, putting his shoulder out towards her, the orb in his hands coalescing into the tip of his index finger, glowing a soft, luminescent red aimed directly at Alou’s chest in the shape of a finger gun. “I think it’s time to blow this manor away.”
“I guess I can. I hear you got good at destroying shit after I got executed! I’ll follow your lead, just this once, since I’m soooo generous.”
That's the ability of caring about someone. They can push you into action, when before you would have done nothing. Being personally wronged and hurt - matters very little to Yukiko - a being made of more scar tissue than flesh, there’s so little left of her that can be hurt, but the wounds reopen with salted hands over and over, she can’t help but be annoyed that people like Hibiki and Mirai have endured more than they had to, because of someone less than worthless.
Yukiko thinks of sitting across from Mirai and realizing people like them don’t have to be wretched like the people that hurt them - there’s a world where her soul wasn’t tattered and bruised like it is now. She didn’t have to be this person who wouldn’t let herself care about others, in fear of how they would hurt what was left, two women hated by life itself, enjoying coffee together, being patted on the head and fearing, for once the reply to “do you hate me?”
She can easily say she loves their time together, and she loves Mirai, too. It’s a tiny miracle, to love.
It’s not a worthless world that needs to be burned to let something new grow.  It has people who don’t hate a hideous person like her, though they should after what she’s done to wrong them, like Kamiya and Olwin. She can dig up what remains of the garden in her heart and start to water it again. And now there might be a chance someone else will want to help out, someone who still happily calls himself her biggest fan. Maybe she deserves something like that. She’s come to enjoy not being alone.
For all the times she’s dragged Hibiki out of his room, he’s done the same in turn. She doesn’t mind being dragged around for once.
“Okay, ready when you are! Let's get this over with!”
He flinches a little at the gag about his little destructive temper tantrum, something he won’t live down anytime soon, and huffs. “S-Seriously, th-there were so many better times to bring that up than now! I—I had a lot going on! I—W-We’ll talk about it later!!”
Yukiko winks and laughs.
Hibiki faces down the person responsible for him standing here today, shoulder to shoulder with the person responsible for who he is standing here today, and smiles triumphantly.
There’s so much in his chest, thinking of the idea of his own virtue. He was certain he had none, that he had to work himself to death in creation, in problem solving, in bombastic explosions of personality, uncontrollable wildfires that burned him inside and out. Anything to make up for who he was and what he wasn’t.
He considers the soul returned to his body, a filled hole he hadn’t even noticed was empty by now because of the experiences that had shaped him through their time here. Kamiya, who had only ever done his best and who showed Hibiki how to let himself have a bit more fun, to be a friend and accept friendship. Who Hibiki had callously thrown away, but could even still feel resonate in the little orb in his hand. There’s a sense in him that there’s something he should be more thankful for, even now, though he doesn’t understand it.
He considers the people who showed him that he wasn’t alone even in his suffering; Mirai, who let him act out as he pleased and lent a shoulder and an ear for him, but never accepted what he shouldn’t have given in the first place. Who forced him to question why he was so hellbent, who softened his edges by virtue of being there. Miori, who reached out to him, and who kept around even in the rockiest of times. He considered that he might have hated her at some point, but only because of how he hated himself. Loathe as he would ever be to admit it, he was sorry for what she’d gone through. Sorry for what it did to her, and hopeful she might get to come back from it later. A level of care and personal concern that he’d never realized he could offer.
Hibiki, holding onto his virtue, considers those who questioned his empty belief. He thinks of Olwin, who even through all of their bickering and fighting and venom, might damn well be a friend after all. Though their clashes always felt fruitless, like circling around a problem that could never be solved, Hibiki comes to understand those fights were what made him question himself. What took him from his vapid idealism and condescending platitudes, and forced him to consider the human element.
“And you'd do almost anything to keep it. 'Cause without it you'd go back to feeling like you did before. And the idea of going back—you can't do that. You just can't.”
Hibiki looks over, just a little.
Hibiki looks at the person who strung him along, who put him through hell when they were already there, who might well have had the opportunity to ruin his life if she wanted to go so far. Because he opened himself to it. To her.
And yet she stuck around. And she made good on the falsehoods. Hibiki considers how he might have died by now if she hadn’t given him the courage to step outside his door and trust people. Ironic, considering what she’d done to it, and yet she fixed it. Helped him to feel whole.
The person who came here cried for justice and little else, looked down on and scorned his peers because it was the best he could do to ease the aching, hollow loneliness and self-loathing in his soul. Shackled by a past he claimed to have outrun long ago.
“It makes me happy to be called heroic. I want to be. Brave like Kamen Rider, and ingenious like Yugi Mutou, and cool like Jotaro Kujo.”
Maybe he can start to be Hibiki after all.
Shoulder to shoulder, smiling defiantly, both hands stretched out to aim glowing finger guns, Hibiki and Yukiko prepare to break the ties that bind them to their misery.
“Hey,” Hibiki says. “Give a cool line.”
“You do it Mr Writer,” she nudges him, shooting a look that screams are you for real? “I’ll just tell him to fuck off and die. Eat shit, asshole, fall off your high horse.” She squeezes his hand with a laugh.
He huffs back, though it sounds much more like a laugh.
“I thought you were following my lead! Fine, just don’t complain if you don’t like it!”
“Hey, doctor!” Hibiki calls out, finally addressing Alou himself.
“Your script sucked, rewrite it in the next life!”
“It might be better if you scrapped it, Ally.  I don't think you’ll come back from this one. You better not, at least.
And they fire, an impossibly bright scarlet red beam emanating from interlocked hands, pointed fingers, intertwined wills; the manifestation of their souls tears through Alou, carving a gaping hole beneath his collarbone. It might have been nice to take out an arm entirely, but for the group’s opening salvo it’s visible proof that they can all put him away together.

Dino Watches Anime (Nov 28)
Obviously, I’m not going to list the ongoing anime that I’ve still watching as that hasn’t changed much. I will put the ones that I recently completed though!
Recently Completed!
Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e
I was going to put this in chronological order until I realized that I just wanted to get this piece of crap out of the way. Seriously, I regret watching this show. I HATE how it’s the highest rated out of all of them! It’s almost an 8/10! I gave it a 4! Here’s why:
This anime started out okay. I liked the sound of its premise. I liked the idea of teenage psychology being pushed but not as life-or-death but more of status. Because believe it or not, sometimes a person values their image and status more than their life. That plot was... kind of there? I don’t know. It was mostly boobs and ass. Those jiggle physics don’t stop here. They make sure to remind you that every character in this anime has large assets and asses every two seconds.
The characters are probably the most deplorable part of this show. They were so bad. Seriously, we just took the worst parts of every trope and threw them together! The “I don’t talk to anyone. I don’t have any friends. I’m EDGY and don’t belong here. I’m this close to selling myself to Orochimaru for power”, the “cardboard houseplant that’s so monotone that it hurts”, the “double-sided dipstick that will take out a person’s intestines and use them as a jump rope”, and the “arrogant older brother who is way more accomplished than his sister”. We also have more assorted bastards, but those are the main ones. The characters ruined everything. Their interactions were so coarse, forced, hard to watch, and everything is executed so poorly that it made me wonder whether people rated this for ulterior motives or not. Everyone here is an asshole.
Let’s look at the first three characters:
“cardboard houseplant that’s so monotone that it hurts” - Shoya Chiba isn’t even a bad voice actor. He does give me Hiroshi Kamiya vibes though (not a bad thing), but his voice acting in this show was hard to listen to because his expression didn’t change and neither did his voice. Seriously, over 12 episodes, he has that same expression. Someone threatened to harm him, and he’s still looking like a dead fish. I can’t describe how much worse it is to have a main character whose facial muscles don’t move. He has no personality.
“I don’t talk to anyone. I don’t have any friends. I’m EDGY and don’t belong here. I’m this close to selling myself to Orochimaru for power” - I like her design, but what else is going for her? How many times does she need to say, “I don’t need friends. I just want to move up in school.” Bitch, I get it. You can calm down. You keep doing things for other people but you say you don’t care? She arguably gets the most growth. Akari Kito voiced her and it was just like how any other person on earth would voice this character.
“double-sided dipstick that will take out a person’s intestines and use them as a jump rope” - She’s exactly what she sounds like. She’s in that gif. She’s sweet and nice until you catch her being not that. Yurika Kubo did a pretty alright job voicing her. Nothing really to say here besides I hated her with a burning passion.
Music was alright. Animation was... Lerche standard. Nothing special. It looks nice until you are flashed so many times that you can’t tell what this show is even about anymore.
This is one of the worst shows I’ve watched in a while. It wastes a perfectly good premise and voice cast.

Kekkaishi
2006 was a good year for anime, and this probably got swept over because Code Geass took the fall season by storm. But this anime was genuinely good. I wanted a good shonen/comedy with action and this filled that void and more. I even read some of the manga before realizing that I just don’t like reading manga that much.
I genuinely like the cast of characters and find them amusing. I also like how they incorporate a stay-at-home dad who wears an apron and no one judges him because it’s what they see as normal. We have a female character whose not being sexualized every few seconds. Sunrise did cheat a little with other female characters though because the manga made their proportions okay while the anime decided to make them look more like a Barbie rather than a human. The animation was pretty okay too. For 52 episodes, it did some pretty okay stuff but with today’s technology, it’s probably not as “wow” as it was back in the day.
I’m just mad that they developed a character only to kill him a couple of episodes later. That’s sad.
The soundtrack was pretty standard, but I was impressed by the fact that I liked the voice acting. I originally wasn’t as much of a fan of Hiroyuki Yoshino’s works because I found his voice annoying, but when he finds the right character (like Yoshimori or Eraser Mic), he works really well. It’s unfortunate that a lot of the main cast aren’t as prolific as they once were, but I guess that’s life.
No one was hurt in the making of that gif.
I rated this a 9/10 because it was for pure enjoyment. I didn’t have this much fun watching an anime in a while. This is the anime that got me binge-watching again.

Nobunaga Concerto
This anime has a blaring problem. It’s not the story, it’s not the writing, it’s not the characters, and it’s not the music. It’s the art. Watch any clip and it will give some Berserk flashbacks.
The writing was pretty good too. The story was genuinely interesting, but in the end, it didn’t feel like it did enough. It didn’t cover enough. The dialogue and the incorporation of modern culture with the historic parts were smart. Saburou was really likeable and oddly adaptive. The characters around him (the historic ones) are pretty cut and dry. The music was pretty good too! The art and lack of adaptation are the only things truly holding this show back.
Mamoru Miyano plays the main character and obviously makes him charming and funny, Yuki Kaji plays Nobunaga Oda, and Nana Mizuki plays Oda’s betrothed. I actually didn’t know anything about Oda’s tale prior to this anime so don’t think that’s required.
I rated it a 7/10
*Another important note is that they get suddenly racist in the last episode. A black guy appears, and people scream that it’s a monkey like they’ve never seen a darker-skinned human before. It was honestly disappointing.

Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakama-tachi
Okay, this anime surprised me because of how much I liked it. It wasn’t even anything special. They took the same JC Staff rom-com tropes and put them into another anime combined with some fairy tale lore. But this anime was so entertaining and charming with its cast that I genuinely didn’t hate any of the characters. There were a few moments that made me go, “okay, that’s a bit too much”, but a girl going around punching people with neko boxing gloves? That’s pretty cool. Ookami was a really funny character who I actually found a bit interesting which is weird for a story that’s supposed to be superficial and comedic. Ryoushi is practically a spitting image of my anxiety and personality but in a charming way? He has some cool moments. He’s almost a little like Zenitsu. Courageous when push comes to shove but he’s actually awake. Ringo was the innocent loli until she wasn’t because if you mess with her friend, she will poison you. Again, they made these references to regular rom-com anime and fairy tales that completely roll together nicely. JC Staff didn’t mess this one up, and as always, there’s a tsundere Rie Kugimiya role in there somewhere.
Because I enjoyed it so much, I gave it a 9/10.

Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha
I literally finished this one an hour ago, read the last chapter of the manga, and went “what the heck?” Because... I enjoyed this, but I also didn’t? Bitter-sweetness at its best. Houko Kuwashima is a really underrated voice actress because she hasn’t taken that many big roles as of recent, but she has incredible range. The characters of this are incredibly plain, but I don’t mind that because they aren’t painful to watch unlike the first anime I mentioned (seriously, I watched the last three shows on this list to wash that bad anime out of my brain). Everyone in this anime seems to be perfect in one way or another because they don’t really wish ill on anyone. Not gonna lie, characters like that aren’t for everyone because “everyone is a scum at some point in their lives”. I definitely respect for the need of balance. The story is pretty simple and plain and so is the art. The music was nice and pleasant. Basically, it’s a palette-cleanser of an anime after watching some bad anime. It’s about developing middle school romance and this... “teenage” couple on the side. It’s about friendship! And discovering yourself, and yes, one character found out she was gay, and I was rooting for that character so hard only to find out that she didn’t get her conclusive ending. Everyone else gets some bullshit ending one way or another! This is published in the same publication as Bungou Stray Dogs, and I wouldn’t have been able to tell if I didn’t look it up.
I rated this one an 8/10 because I enjoyed it still despite the ending being a little idealistic, sad, and far-fetched (seriously, someone becomes a god and gets their existence erased).
