On a nice cloudless night, Ford took his kids outside to stare at the stars. He explained all that he knew about them to Justan and Mary-Belle until the two fell asleep leaning on him.

Saw a pose similar while reading Demon Slayer and thought of Dragon Ford. So in this scene, when Mary-Belle hatched (in human form instead of dragonet) all her energy was drained and she was really weak. So weak that she wasn’t even moving or breathing for a long while. It got Ford so worried and scared he couldn’t move for a long while, scaring Justan a little in the process. After long minutes of just starring at the baby, he decided to just hold the baby once, before having to do what he didn’t want to do. Just as he held her, she began to fuss, slow and weak at first, but as Ford held her close, life came to her and she began to trash and cry like a normal baby would. Ford just held her close.
