Something I LOVE about my community is that there's random murals all over the city and even a charming village here in Bradenton aptly named the Village of the Arts. So I have this thing with pears with wings. Years ago I was just doodling and trying to come with new creative ideas. I was practicing drawing wings and eating a pear. I did my first doodle of a pear with wings. I put the drawing in my sketchbook and forgot about it for years. Then around 5 years later when I was learning about ceramics and going through my old sketchbooks for ideas of things to sculpt and I found my doodle. I then began making tons of pears with wings ceramic sculptures. Some survived being broken and firings in the kiln, others did not. I also starting sneaking them into drawings and paintings as well until I unintentionally made them my trademark. Here was my first idea that I sketched for my logo for Juliet Yvette Designs.
