For The Unsettled Minds–Wait On God
On this beautiful Friday, whether sunshine or clouds. Know that you can have peace and love despite your circumstances. There's so much noise and chaos in our worlds. Often it causes an unsettling of the mind.
Whatever has your mind rattled, I want to encourage you today, wait on God. The job, that family problem, or whatever has you mentally exhausted. Trust that God will supply every need you have.
Keep in mind, worrying is only a tact used to minimize your faith. Release the doubtful thoughts, and combat them with the truth, scripture. As cliche as it may sound to you, the truth does set you free (John 8:31-32KJV). It is this truth that reminds us we can't add to our lives by worrying (Matthew 6:27 KJV). But worry can, and so often does, deduct a lot from us: peace, joy, gratitude, and time all become lost in the moments of worry. I don't know what has your mind blocked, attempting to steal from you, or even take you down.
But I come to remind you that Jesus said He comes that you may have life and more abundantly (John10:10KJV). That vicious mental cycle you are going through is not always a sign that you have something mentally wrong that you need medication for. Medication doesn't settle minds without the aid of the Holy Spirit. That's why some people don't benefit from it. This is not to say medication is wrong or seeking help is wrong. It is to say not everyone needs the methods of medication, some people direly need honesty. Some people need faith in the truth of God.
So, on this Friday, go on a journey of choosing your thoughts. I know it's easier said than done. And if you are wondering where to begin, start with scripture. Take your time reading and reciting them. Then, write a note of what the scripture means, how it made you feel, or what truth you learned. If you are unsure of what scriptures to begin with, have no fear, keep reading.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. -1 Peter 5:7KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; -2 Corinthians 10:5KJV
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy, -James 3:17KJV
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. -James 4:8KJV
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. -Hebrews 13:6KJV
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. -Hebrews 13:8KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. -Philippians 4:7KJV
Here's a song to let minister to your spirit throughout the day.
Know that you are loved! You serve a purpose! Anything not rooted in the truth of Christ is a lie from Satan. Use the Word to command him to get back off of you! I hope the peace, love, and joy of the Lord reach you today and always.🕊️💕

My Sunday Daily Blessings
August 14, 2022
Be still quiet your heart and mind, the LORD is here, loving you talking to you...........
Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Roman Rite Calendar) Lectionary 120, Cycle C
First Reading: Jeremiah 38:4-6, 8-10
In those days, the princes said to the king: "Jeremiah ought to be put to death; he is demoralizing the soldiers who are left in this city, and all the people, by speaking such things to them; he is not interested in the welfare of our people, but in their ruin."
King Zedekiah answered: "He is in your power"; for the king could do nothing with them. And so they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of Prince Malchiah, which was in the quarters of the guard, letting him down with ropes.  There was no water in the cistern, only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud.
Ebed-melech, a court official, went there from the palace and said to him: "My lord king, these men have been at fault in all they have done to the prophet Jeremiah, casting him into the cistern.  He will die of famine on the spot, for there is no more food in the city." Then the king ordered Ebed-melech the Cushite to take three men along with him, and draw the prophet Jeremiah out of the cistern before he should die.
Responsorial Psalm:  Psalm 40:2, 3, 4, 18
"Lord, come to my aid."
Second Reading: Hebrews 12:1-4
Brothers and sisters: Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood.
Verse before the Gospel: John10:27
R: Alleluia, Alleluia
"My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord; I know them, and they follow me."
R: Alleluia, Alleluia
**Gospel: Luke 12:49-53
Jesus said to his disciples: "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
**Meditation:
Do you want to be on fire for God? Jesus shocked his disciples when he declared that he would cast fire and cause division rather than peace upon the earth. What kind of fire did Jesus have in mind here?
The fire of God's purifying love and cleansing word The image of fire in biblical times was often associated with God and with his action in the world and in the lives of his people. God sometimes manifested his presence by use of fire, such as God's revelation to Moses through the burning bush in the wilderness which was not consumed by the flames (Exodus 3:2). God assured the Hebrew people of his continual presence, guidance, and protection for them through the wilderness for forty years with the pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day (Exodus 13:21-22). The prophet Elijah called down fire from heaven to reveal God's presence and power and to purify the people of false idols (1 Kings 18:36-39). The image of fire was also used as a sign of God's glory (Ezekiel 1:4, 13) and holiness (Deuteronomy 4:24), his protective presence (2 Kings 6:17), and his righteous judgment (Zechariah 13:9) and holy wrath against sin (Isaiah 66:15-16).
Fire is also a sign and symbol of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist said that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11-12 and Luke 3:16-17). When the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples at Pentecost "tongues of fire" appeared above their heads (Acts 2:3). We can see from both the Old and New Testament Scriptures that God's fire purifies and cleanses to make us clean (sins washed away) and holy (fit to offer him acceptable praise and worship), and it inspires a reverent fear (awe in God's presence) and respect (obeying and giving God his due) for God and for his holy word.
Loyalty unites - division separates Why did Jesus link fire from heaven with costly division on the earth? Did he expect his followers to take his statement of "father against son and son against father" and "mother against daughter and daughter against mother" literally? Or was he intentionally using a figure of speech to emphasize the choice and cost of following him above all else? Jesus used a typical Hebrew hyperbole (a figure of speech which uses strong language and exaggeration for emphasis) to drive home an important lesson. We often do the same when we want to emphasize something very strongly. Jesus' hyperbole, however, did contain a real warning that the Gospel message does have serious consequences for our lives.
When Jesus spoke about division within families he likely had in mind the prophecy of Micah: a man's enemies are the men of his own household (Micah 7:6). The essence of Christianity is loyalty to Jesus Christ - the Son of God and Savior of the world - a loyalty that takes precedence over every other relationship. The love of God compels us to choose who will be first in our lives. To place any relationship (or anything else) above God is a form of idolatry.
Whot do you love first and foremost? Jesus challenges his disciples to examine who they love first and foremost. A true disciple loves God above all else and is willing to forsake all for Jesus Christ. Jesus insists that his disciples give him the loyalty which is only due to God, a loyalty which is higher than spouse or kin. It is possible that family and friends can become our enemies if the thought of them keeps us from doing what we know God wants us to do. Does the love of Jesus Christ compel you to put God first in all you do (2 Corinthians 5:14)?
The Gospel message is good news for those who seek pardon, peace, and the abundant life which God offers us through his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus offers true freedom to those who believe in him - freedom from slavery to sin, Satan, and the oppressive forces of hatred and evil that can destroy body, mind, and spirit. Do you listen to the voice of your Savior and trust in his word? Commit your ways to him, obey his word, and you will find true peace, joy, and happiness in the Lord your God.

Tuesday, Fourth Week of Eastertide

First Reading
Acts of the Apostles 11:19-26
They started preaching to the Greeks, proclaiming the Lord Jesus
Those who had escaped during the persecution that happened because of Stephen travelled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, but they usually proclaimed the message only to Jews. Some of them, however, who came from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch where they started preaching to the Greeks, proclaiming the Good News of the Lord Jesus to them as well. The Lord helped them, and a great number believed and were converted to the Lord.
The church in Jerusalem heard about this and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. There he could see for himself that God had given grace, and this pleased him, and he urged them all to remain faithful to the Lord with heartfelt devotion; for he was a good man, filled with the Holy Spirit and with faith. And a large number of people were won over to the Lord.
Barnabas then left for Tarsus to look for Saul, and when he found him he brought him to Antioch. As things turned out they were to live together in that church a whole year, instructing a large number of people. It was at Antioch that the disciples were first called ‘Christians.’

Psalm 86(87)
R/ O praise the Lord, all you nations! or R/ Alleluia!

It is he, the Lord Most High,    who gives each his place. In his register of peoples he writes:    ‘These are her children,’ and while they dance they will sing:    ‘In you all find their home.’

John 10:22-30
The Father and I are one
It was the time when the feast of Dedication was being celebrated in Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was in the Temple walking up and down in the Portico of Solomon. The Jews gathered round him and said, ‘How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.’ Jesus replied:
‘I have told you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name are my witness; but you do not believe, because you are no sheep of mine. The sheep that belong to me listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me. I give them eternal life; they will never be lost and no one will ever steal them from me. The Father who gave them to me is greater than anyone, and no one can steal from the Father. The Father and I are one.’

R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

Acts of the Apostles 13:46-49
Since you have rejected the word of God, we must turn to the pagans
Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly. ‘We had to proclaim the word of God to you first, but since you have rejected it, since you do not think yourselves worthy of eternal life, we must turn to the pagans. For this is what the Lord commanded us to do when he said:
I have made you a light for the nations, so that my salvation may reach the ends of the earth.’
It made the pagans very happy to hear this and they thanked the Lord for his message; all who were destined for eternal life became believers. Thus the word of the Lord spread through the whole countryside.

I commend you to God and to the word of his grace, and its power
From Miletus Paul sent for the elders of the church of Ephesus. When they arrived he addressed these words to them:
‘Be on your guard for yourselves and for all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you the overseers, to feed the Church of God which he bought with his own blood. I know quite well that when I have gone fierce wolves will invade you and will have no mercy on the flock. Even from your own ranks there will be men coming forward with a travesty of the truth on their lips to induce the disciples to follow them. So be on your guard, remembering how night and day for three years I never failed to keep you right, shedding tears over each one of you. And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace that has power to build you up and to give you your inheritance among all the sanctified.’    When he had finished speaking he knelt down with them all and prayed.

I have stood firm to this day, testifying to great and small alike
Paul said: ‘King Agrippa, I could not disobey the heavenly vision. On the contrary I started preaching, first to the people of Damascus, then to those of Jerusalem and all the countryside of Judaea, and also to the pagans, urging them to repent and turn to God, proving their change of heart by their deeds. This was why the Jews laid hands on me in the Temple and tried to do away with me. But I was blessed with God’s help, and so I have stood firm to this day, testifying to great and small alike, saying nothing more than what the prophets and Moses himself said would happen: that the Christ was to suffer and that, as the first to rise from the dead, he was to proclaim that light now shone for our people and for the pagans too.’

The harvest is rich but the labourers are few
Jesus made a tour through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom and curing all kinds of diseases and sickness.

You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church
When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi he put this question to his disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’ And they said, ‘Some say he is John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.’ ‘But you,’ he said ‘who do you say I am?’ Then Simon Peter spoke up, ‘You are the Christ,’ he said ‘the Son of the living God.’ Jesus replied, ‘Simon son of Jonah, you are a happy man! Because it was not flesh and blood that revealed this to you but my Father in heaven. So I now say to you: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. And the gates of the underworld can never hold out against it. The greatest among you must be your servant
Jesus said to his disciples, ‘You must not allow yourselves to be called Rabbi, since you have only one master, and you are all brothers. You must call no one on earth your father, since you have only one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor must you allow yourselves to be called teachers, for you have only one Teacher, the Christ. The greatest among you must be your servant. Anyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and anyone who humbles himself will exalted.’

Gospel Matthew 28:16-20 Go and make disciples of all nations
The eleven disciples set out for Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had arranged to meet them. When they saw him they fell down before him, though some hesitated. Jesus came up and spoke to them. He said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, make disciples of all the nations; baptise them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands I gave you. And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time.’
OR: --------
Gospel Mark 1:14-20 I will make you into fishers of men
After John had been arrested, Jesus went into Galilee. There he proclaimed the Good News from God. ‘The time has come’ he said ‘and the kingdom of God is close at hand. Repent, and believe the Good News.’    As he was walking along by the Sea of Galilee he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net in the lake – for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, ‘Follow me and I will make you into fishers of men.’ And at once they left their nets and followed him.    Going on a little further, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John; they too were in their boat, mending their nets. He called them at once and, leaving their father Zebedee in the boat with the men he employed, they went after him.
OR: --------
Gospel Mark 16:15-20 Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News
Jesus showed himself to the Eleven and said to them:    ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation. He who believes and is baptised will be saved; he who does not believe will be condemned. These are the signs that will be associated with believers: in my name they will cast out devils; they will have the gift of tongues; they will pick up snakes in their hands, and be unharmed should they drink deadly poison; they will lay their hands on the sick, who will recover.’    And so the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven: there at the right hand of God he took his place, while they, going out, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word by the signs that accompanied it.
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 5:1-11 They left everything and followed him
Jesus was standing one day by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the crowd pressing round him listening to the word of God, when he caught sight of two boats close to the bank. The fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets. He got into one of the boats – it was Simon’s – and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.    When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, ‘Put out into deep water and pay out your nets for a catch.’ ‘Master,’ Simon replied, ‘we worked hard all night long and caught nothing, but if you say so, I will pay out the nets.’ And when they had done this they netted such a huge number of fish that their nets began to tear, so they signalled to their companions in the other boat to come and help them; when these came, they filled the two boats to sinking point.    When Simon Peter saw this he fell at the knees of Jesus saying, ‘Leave me, Lord; I am a sinful man.’ For he and all his companions were completely overcome by the catch they had made; so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were Simon’s partners. But Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid; from now on it is men you will catch.’ Then, bringing their boats back to land, they left everything and followed him.
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 10:1-9 Your peace will rest on that man
The Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them out ahead of him, in pairs, to all the towns and places he himself was to visit. He said to them, ‘The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest to send labourers to his harvest. Start off now, but remember, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Carry no purse, no haversack, no sandals. Salute no one on the road. Whatever house you go into, let your first words be, “Peace to this house!” And if a man of peace lives there, your peace will go and rest on him; if not, it will come back to you. Stay in the same house, taking what food and drink they have to offer, for the labourer deserves his wages; do not move from house to house. Whenever you go into a town where they make you welcome, eat what is set before you. Cure those in it who are sick, and say, “The kingdom of God is very near to you.”’
OR: --------
Gospel Luke 22:24-30 I confer a kingdom on you, just as the Father conferred one on me
A dispute arose between the disciples about which should be reckoned the greatest, but Jesus said to them:    ‘Among pagans it is the kings who lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are given the title Benefactor. This must not happen with you. No; the greatest among you must behave as if he were the youngest, the leader as if he were the one who serves. For who is the greater: the one at table or the one who serves? The one at table, surely? Yet here am I among you as one who serves!    ‘You are the men who have stood by me faithfully in my trials; and now I confer a kingdom on you, just as my Father conferred one on me: you will eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and you will sit on thrones to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.’
OR: --------
Gospel John 10:11-16 The good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep
Jesus said:
‘I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep.
‘I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep. And there are other sheep I have that are not of this fold, and these I have to lead as well. They too will listen to my voice, and there will be only one flock, and one shepherd.’

Gospel John 15:9-17 You are my friends if you do what I command you
Jesus said to his disciples:
‘As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my own joy may be in you and your joy be complete. This is my commandment: love one another, as I have loved you. A man can have no greater love than to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I shall not call you servants any more, because a servant does not know his master’s business; I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have learnt from my Father. You did not choose me: no, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and to bear fruit, fruit that will last; and then the Father will give you anything you ask him in my name. What I command you is to love one another.’

John 21:15-17
Feed my lambs, feed my sheep
Jesus showed himself to his disciples, and after they had eaten he said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these others do?’ He answered, ‘Yes Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my lambs.’ A second time he said to him, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ He replied, ‘Yes, Lord, you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Look after my sheep.’ Then he said to him a third time, ‘Simon son of John, do you love me?’ Peter was upset that he asked him the third time, ‘Do you love me?’ and said, ‘Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep.’

There’s A ‘Reveal’
“  Why… have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah… and stolen his wife. From this time on, your family will live by the sword… “This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view. You did it secretly, but I will make this happen to you openly in the sight of all ” 2Samuel 12:9-12NLT
Every child born since Cain and Abel have tried to see how sinful they could be without ‘getting caught.’ This doesn’t exempt God’s children. Even after salvation sin subtly woos Christians with, ‘It’s okay —just this once. No one will see.’  Jesus said in Matthew 10:26NLT “…There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.” Mom said this scripture differently, ‘Be sure your sins will find you out.’
Problems abound with sin, hidden or not— Sins are rewarded with unhappy consequences. My example: “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger,” Ephesians 4:26ESV. For many years this scripture was meaningless to me. Lou, (to my way of thinking), picked our oldest daughter apart. For a mother, I might get angry with ‘my’ child, but everyone else leave ‘my’ child alone. This progressed to such a point of contention, I dreaded seeing his truck drive arrive every weekend.
Angry before bed didn’t occur once, but so often, I began repressing the anger. Pastor counseled to forgive and let go of the anger. Problems was, I wasn’t into the seventy-seven times forgiveness in a weekend, (Matthew 18:22).
In case you didn’t know, repressed anger implodes and becomes depression and fosters a spirit of bitterness— “See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many” Heb 12:15NIV. Before I went into total breakdown mode, I left for a counseling clinic. There I learned about dysfunctional relationships. My dysfunction and sins had to be washed with Jesus blood, before I could point at other family members.
King David hadn’t guarded his eyes, viewing a bathing, married woman; killed her husband; took her as his wife. When confronted, 2Samuel 12:13NLT “…David confessed to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
David couldn’t undo sin. He was forgiven. But nevertheless he suffered consequences. —His baby died; —Daughter, Tamar, was raped by his son Ammon; —Tamar’s brother, Absalom (by same mother,) killed Ammon (son of another wife); —Killer Absalom banished, later returns; tries to overthrow his father’s kingdom; rapes all of David’s wives; is murdered. (See 2Samuel 12-18.) Consequences happen!
Prevalent teaching in the church today— “Grace covers all our sins, it’s okay to sin.” Grace doesn’t eliminate consequences! Caught in the lair of secret sins —satan makes sure there’s a ‘reveal’. Consequences as varied as the sins.
God sees the secrets sins forgiving you, but He isn’t the consequence giver. Jesus died to set mankind free from the sin—consequence cycles. In our text, the Lord was telling what David’s sins opened up for him in consequences. Surely David regretted looking on Bathsheba, just hearing the consequences, before he lived them out.
When sin comes knocking on your door, remember Jesus said John10:10KJV “…I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Run from sin to Jesus to prevent shame along with the consequences. It’s your choice. You choose.
PRAYER: Papa God You’re so awesome. Thank You for loving us in spite of all the ugliness we get ourselves into. Help us to shun the appearance of evil, stopping the cycle of bad consequences in our lives, in Jesus’ name I pray.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BECOME LIKE CHRIST THE SON OF GOD? Many of us have our own ideas of what it means to become like Christ Jesus our Lord. We need to consider God’s idea of what it means to be like Christ and get the full picture of what God had painted in the Scriptures . It is sad to note that by our present theology on becoming like Christ we have chosen some areas to be like Christ to the exclusion of other areas. Scriptures that speaks of becoming like Christ are 2 Corinthians 3:18 Romans 8:29, Ephesians 5:25-27 2 Cor. 3:18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are CHANGED into the SAME IMAGE from glory to glory……. What same image? That of Christ. Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be CONFORMED to the IMAGE OF HIS SON, ………. Ephesian 4:13 He gave some..… Till we all come …unto the measure of the stature of the FULLNESS OF CHRIST: Fullness means to have everything of Christ in full. We are changed into the SAME IMAGE like Christ, without spot, wrinkle and blemish and Holy Ephesians 5:27 not only at the second coming but in this age. Hence we have the same access to the throne room to hear his voice and see his shape (FACE TO FACE). We accept the truth that just as Christ loved RIGHTEOUSNESS and hated INIQUITY Heb 1:9 so must we do to become like HIM. Just as Christ ENDURED the CROSS and DESPISED the SHAME so must we to become like Him. Heb 12:2.Just as Christ was MEEK, GENTLE, KIND, LOVING and MERCIFUL we must be like Him. Just as Christ PRAYED so must we pray to become like Him. Just as Christ PREACHED the GOSPEL,WON souls. HEALED the sick, ministered with SIGNS, WONDERS and MIRACLES so must we do to become like Him. Why do we accept areas of the life of Christ and reject some areas? Some have accepted some areas and rejected some areas of the life of Christ. They do not accept and believe FACE TO FACE relationship with God, the COMMUNION of saints, ANGELS channeling the power of the Holy Spirit to us as they did for Christ. They forget that if Christ knew the Father John10:15 we can KNOW the Father FACE to FACE, if Christ COMMUNED with the departed saints like Mose https://www.instagram.com/p/B4OjDIkjPbP/?igshid=1l9p83dtoaxkf

Who Is Jesus?
Tumblr media
This post aims at scripturally opening our eyes to who Jesus Christ is to us as believers, and indeed the world at large. And with this scriptural exposition, we’ll begin to give him his proper position in our lives. And by so doing, we can better enjoy the blessings of God in our lives. So Who Is Jesus Christ? The list below answers the question of who Jesus Christ is to us as believers and the world as a whole: Jesus is The Only Begotten Son of God: “And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying  This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”—Matthew 3:16-17 Jesus is the Almighty God—The Same As The Father and The Holy Spirit: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty”—Revelation 1:8 (See also John 1:1; Isaiah 9:6-7) Jesus Christ is The Anointed one of God: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord… And he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears”—Luke 4:18-19, 21(See also Isaiah 61:1-3) Jesus is Our Greatest Prophet sent from God the Father: “And there came a fear on all and they glorified God saying, that a great prophet is risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people”—Luke 7:16(See also Deuteronomy 18:15, 18; Matthew 21:11; John 6:14) Jesus Is Our Saviour and Redeemer: “And she shall bring forth a son,  and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”—Matthew 1:21(See also Romans 3:24, 1Corinthians 1:30) Jesus is Our King—He is the King of Kings  and Lord  of Lords: “On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of Palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord”—John 12:12-13(See also John1:49) Jesus Is Our Advocate—Our Intercessor and Consoler: “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous”—1 John 2:1(See also Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:27) Jesus Is The Propitiation for our sins—In other words, the atoning person or atonement for our sins: “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God”—Romans 3:24-25(See also 1John 2:2, 1John 4:10) Jesus Is Our Judge: “And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and dead”—Acts 10:42 (See also John 5:22) Jesus is Our Shepherd and Lord—as a shepherd leads and cares for his sheep, the Lord Jesus Christ is our good Shepherd. He says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep”—John 10:11 (See also John10:14, Hebrews 13:20, 1Peter 2:25) The above list is an inexaustive answer to the question of who the Lord Jesus Christ is to us as believers and the world at large. Jesus is our everything. He is our all in all. He is our hope of eternal glory. But the above list gives the fundamental answer to the question of who Jesus Christ is. Pope Francis Reminds Us To Welcome. Protect, Promote and Integrate Refugees and Other Migrants
In 2019, Pope Francis on at least three occasions reminded everyone of the Biblical injunctions to welcome, protect, promote and integrate refugees and migrants. Here are his words on those occasions.
April 30, 2019[1]
The first was on April 30, 2019 when the Pope published his lengthy and moving message for the upcoming 105th World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2019.  Here is what he said.

From Tasha, a servant of God and a preacher of the good news the gospel.
What’s mercy, how to give mercy to others?.
Mercy is compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone whom did us wrong or harm. Now we know what mercy is, just to ask a question, is anyone upset; because someone did you wrong?. Be merciful to them, we’re human beings, people do crazy things without knowing the effecting on others.
I’ve shown mercy to others who had did me wrong I know they don’t deserve my mercy, But God shown me mercy daily, so I just let them off the hook. I figured out it’s easy to let go than to hold back my blessings. I don’t want my prayers to be hinder, I don’t want my relationship with Jesus be affected, so being merciful it’s for me to be happy, for me to have my peace and power back.
So Let’s look at the bible scripture: “For God will not show mercy when he judges the person who has not been merciful; but mercy triumphs over judgement.”
‭‭James‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭GNB‬‬. The first I want us to look at in the text is: “God will not show mercy when he judges the person who has not been merciful “
If you praying for God to bless you or heal you , you’re wasting your time, because you haven’t forgiven the person that had did you wrong, in order to be bless by God, it’s to show mercy to people for their wrongs.
The second word in the text is:
“mercy triumphs over judgement” . Mercy conquer judgment : Being merciful it’s powerful, it’s peace, it’s happiness and it’s freedom.
God will answer our prayers, because he know that we’ve been merciful . If we refuse to show mercy to others, God will judges us, he’ll not be merciful when he judges us.
how to give mercy to others?.
We don’t want to be judge by God, right?. So do yourself a favour, be merciful to others, I know it’s not that easy, to be merciful. do what I do and you will be bless. (1)pray(2)practice it: take steps by step.(3)we know that God will not be merciful to us only if we’re merciful to others, so it shouldn’t be hard for us to do the same.
4)if you find it hard to be merciful: the quicker you let go of the pain, when someone did you wrong, the easiest it’s to be free.
we know that people who shown mercy to others belong to God, Because God is Love, and the devil is hateful “ John10:10” and people who do not show mercy, their heart is controlled by the devil.
(5) being merciful it’s for your own good, so that your prayers will not be hinder and the devil will not have power over your minds and heart. God love you, so make the right decision today to be merciful.
Always remember God is the source of everything that we want or desire. We’re destined to succeed in God’s will for our life. Stay bless: Tasha ❤️
