For The Unsettled Minds–Wait On God
On this beautiful Friday, whether sunshine or clouds. Know that you can have peace and love despite your circumstances. There's so much noise and chaos in our worlds. Often it causes an unsettling of the mind.
Whatever has your mind rattled, I want to encourage you today, wait on God. The job, that family problem, or whatever has you mentally exhausted. Trust that God will supply every need you have.
Keep in mind, worrying is only a tact used to minimize your faith. Release the doubtful thoughts, and combat them with the truth, scripture. As cliche as it may sound to you, the truth does set you free (John 8:31-32KJV). It is this truth that reminds us we can't add to our lives by worrying (Matthew 6:27 KJV). But worry can, and so often does, deduct a lot from us: peace, joy, gratitude, and time all become lost in the moments of worry. I don't know what has your mind blocked, attempting to steal from you, or even take you down.
But I come to remind you that Jesus said He comes that you may have life and more abundantly (John10:10KJV). That vicious mental cycle you are going through is not always a sign that you have something mentally wrong that you need medication for. Medication doesn't settle minds without the aid of the Holy Spirit. That's why some people don't benefit from it. This is not to say medication is wrong or seeking help is wrong. It is to say not everyone needs the methods of medication, some people direly need honesty. Some people need faith in the truth of God.
So, on this Friday, go on a journey of choosing your thoughts. I know it's easier said than done. And if you are wondering where to begin, start with scripture. Take your time reading and reciting them. Then, write a note of what the scripture means, how it made you feel, or what truth you learned. If you are unsure of what scriptures to begin with, have no fear, keep reading.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. -1 Peter 5:7KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God,and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; -2 Corinthians 10:5KJV
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy, -James 3:17KJV
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. -James 4:8KJV
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. -Hebrews 13:6KJV
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. -Hebrews 13:8KJV
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. -Philippians 4:7KJV
Here's a song to let minister to your spirit throughout the day.
Know that you are loved! You serve a purpose! Anything not rooted in the truth of Christ is a lie from Satan. Use the Word to command him to get back off of you! I hope the peace, love, and joy of the Lord reach you today and always.🕊️💕

“Anyone refusing to walk through the gate into a sheepfold, who sneaks over the wall, must surely be a thief! For a shepherd comes through the gate. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice and come to him; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.He walks ahead of them; and they follow him, for they recognize his voice. They won’t follow a stranger but will run from him, for they don’t recognize his voice.”Those who heard Jesus use this illustration didn’t understand what he meant,so he explained it to them. “I am the Gate for the sheep,” he said.“All others who came before me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them.Yes, I am the Gate. Those who come in by way of the Gate will be saved and will go in and out and find green pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.“I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.A hired man will run when he sees a wolf coming and will leave the sheep, for they aren’t his and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf leaps on them and scatters the flock. The hired man runs because he is hired and has no real concern for the sheep.“I am the Good Shepherd and know my own sheep, and they know me,just as my Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.I have other sheep, too, in another fold. I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice; and there will be one flock with one Shepherd.“The Father loves me because I lay down my life that I may have it back again. No one can kill me without my consent—I lay down my life voluntarily. For I have the right and power to lay it down when I want to and also the right and power to take it again. For the Father has given me this right.” - John 10:1-18 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John10:1-18&version=TLB

My Sunday Daily Blessings
August 14, 2022
Be still quiet your heart and mind, the LORD is here, loving you talking to you...........
Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time (Roman Rite Calendar) Lectionary 120, Cycle C
First Reading: Jeremiah 38:4-6, 8-10
In those days, the princes said to the king: "Jeremiah ought to be put to death; he is demoralizing the soldiers who are left in this city, and all the people, by speaking such things to them; he is not interested in the welfare of our people, but in their ruin."
King Zedekiah answered: "He is in your power"; for the king could do nothing with them. And so they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of Prince Malchiah, which was in the quarters of the guard, letting him down with ropes.  There was no water in the cistern, only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud.
Ebed-melech, a court official, went there from the palace and said to him: "My lord king, these men have been at fault in all they have done to the prophet Jeremiah, casting him into the cistern.  He will die of famine on the spot, for there is no more food in the city." Then the king ordered Ebed-melech the Cushite to take three men along with him, and draw the prophet Jeremiah out of the cistern before he should die.
Responsorial Psalm:  Psalm 40:2, 3, 4, 18
"Lord, come to my aid."
Second Reading: Hebrews 12:1-4
Brothers and sisters: Since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us rid ourselves of every burden and sin that clings to us and persevere in running the race that lies before us while keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith. For the sake of the joy that lay before him he endured the cross, despising its shame, and has taken his seat at the right of the throne of God. Consider how he endured such opposition from sinners, in order that you may not grow weary and lose heart. In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding blood.
Verse before the Gospel: John10:27
R: Alleluia, Alleluia
"My sheep hear my voice, says the Lord; I know them, and they follow me."
R: Alleluia, Alleluia
**Gospel: Luke 12:49-53
Jesus said to his disciples: "I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! There is a baptism with which I must be baptized, and how great is my anguish until it is accomplished! Do you think that I have come to establish peace on the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
From now on a household of five will be divided, three against two and two against three; a father will be divided against his son and a son against his father, a mother against her daughter and a daughter against her mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law."
**Meditation:
Do you want to be on fire for God? Jesus shocked his disciples when he declared that he would cast fire and cause division rather than peace upon the earth. What kind of fire did Jesus have in mind here?
The fire of God's purifying love and cleansing word The image of fire in biblical times was often associated with God and with his action in the world and in the lives of his people. God sometimes manifested his presence by use of fire, such as God's revelation to Moses through the burning bush in the wilderness which was not consumed by the flames (Exodus 3:2). God assured the Hebrew people of his continual presence, guidance, and protection for them through the wilderness for forty years with the pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day (Exodus 13:21-22). The prophet Elijah called down fire from heaven to reveal God's presence and power and to purify the people of false idols (1 Kings 18:36-39). The image of fire was also used as a sign of God's glory (Ezekiel 1:4, 13) and holiness (Deuteronomy 4:24), his protective presence (2 Kings 6:17), and his righteous judgment (Zechariah 13:9) and holy wrath against sin (Isaiah 66:15-16).
Fire is also a sign and symbol of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. John the Baptist said that Jesus would baptize with the Holy Spirit and with fire (Matthew 3:11-12 and Luke 3:16-17). When the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the disciples at Pentecost "tongues of fire" appeared above their heads (Acts 2:3). We can see from both the Old and New Testament Scriptures that God's fire purifies and cleanses to make us clean (sins washed away) and holy (fit to offer him acceptable praise and worship), and it inspires a reverent fear (awe in God's presence) and respect (obeying and giving God his due) for God and for his holy word.
Loyalty unites - division separates Why did Jesus link fire from heaven with costly division on the earth? Did he expect his followers to take his statement of "father against son and son against father" and "mother against daughter and daughter against mother" literally? Or was he intentionally using a figure of speech to emphasize the choice and cost of following him above all else? Jesus used a typical Hebrew hyperbole (a figure of speech which uses strong language and exaggeration for emphasis) to drive home an important lesson. We often do the same when we want to emphasize something very strongly. Jesus' hyperbole, however, did contain a real warning that the Gospel message does have serious consequences for our lives.
When Jesus spoke about division within families he likely had in mind the prophecy of Micah: a man's enemies are the men of his own household (Micah 7:6). The essence of Christianity is loyalty to Jesus Christ - the Son of God and Savior of the world - a loyalty that takes precedence over every other relationship. The love of God compels us to choose who will be first in our lives. To place any relationship (or anything else) above God is a form of idolatry.
Whot do you love first and foremost? Jesus challenges his disciples to examine who they love first and foremost. A true disciple loves God above all else and is willing to forsake all for Jesus Christ. Jesus insists that his disciples give him the loyalty which is only due to God, a loyalty which is higher than spouse or kin. It is possible that family and friends can become our enemies if the thought of them keeps us from doing what we know God wants us to do. Does the love of Jesus Christ compel you to put God first in all you do (2 Corinthians 5:14)?
The Gospel message is good news for those who seek pardon, peace, and the abundant life which God offers us through his Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus offers true freedom to those who believe in him - freedom from slavery to sin, Satan, and the oppressive forces of hatred and evil that can destroy body, mind, and spirit. Do you listen to the voice of your Savior and trust in his word? Commit your ways to him, obey his word, and you will find true peace, joy, and happiness in the Lord your God.

25th April >> Mass Readings (Except USA)
Fourth Sunday of Easter, Cycle B
(Liturgical Colour: White)
First Reading
Acts of the Apostles 4:8-12
The name of Jesus Christ is the only name in which we can be saved
Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter said: ‘Rulers of the people, and elders! If you are questioning us today about an act of kindness to a cripple, and asking us how he was healed, then I am glad to tell you all, and would indeed be glad to tell the whole people of Israel, that it was by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the one you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by this name and by no other that this man is able to stand up perfectly healthy, here in your presence, today. This is the stone rejected by you the builders, but which has proved to be the keystone. For of all the names in the world given to men, this is the only one by which we can be saved.’
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm
Psalm 117(118):1,8-9,21-23,26,28-29
R/ The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone. or R/ Alleluia!
Give thanks to the Lord for he is good,    for his love has no end. It is better to take refuge in the Lord    than to trust in men; it is better to take refuge in the Lord    than to trust in princes.
R/ The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone. or R/ Alleluia!
I will thank you for you have answered    and you are my saviour. The stone which the builders rejected    has become the corner stone. This is the work of the Lord,    a marvel in our eyes.
R/ The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone. or R/ Alleluia!
Blessed in the name of the Lord    is he who comes. We bless you from the house of the Lord; You are my God, I thank you.    My God, I praise you. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good;    for his love has no end.
R/ The stone which the builders rejected has become the corner stone. or R/ Alleluia!
Second Reading
1 John 3:1-2
We shall be like God because we shall see him as he really is
Think of the love that the Father has lavished on us, by letting us be called God’s children; and that is what we are. Because the world refused to acknowledge him, therefore it does not acknowledge us. My dear people, we are already the children of God but what we are to be in the future has not yet been revealed; all we know is, that when it is revealed we shall be like him because we shall see him as he really is.
The Word of the Lord
R/ Thanks be to God.
Gospel Acclamation
John10:14
Alleluia, alleluia! I am the good shepherd, says the Lord; I know my own sheep and my own know me. Alleluia!
Gospel
John 10:11-18
The good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep
Jesus said:
‘I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep. The hired man, since he is not the shepherd and the sheep do not belong to him, abandons the sheep and runs away as soon as he sees a wolf coming, and then the wolf attacks and scatters the sheep; this is because he is only a hired man and has no concern for the sheep.
‘I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for my sheep. And there are other sheep I have that are not of this fold, and these I have to lead as well. They too will listen to my voice, and there will be only one flock, and one shepherd.
‘The Father loves me, because I lay down my life in order to take it up again. No one takes it from me; I lay it down of my own free will, and as it is in my power to lay it down, so it is in my power to take it up again; and this is the command I have been given by my Father.’
The Gospel of the Lord
R/ Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

What fear doesn’t want me to know
Fear = to be afraid of sth., to be in expectation of possible harm/danger or loss
Fear comes in different ways. There is a difference between being alert when your house is about to burn off or when you see a bear in front of you and the fear, sadly every one of us lives with. This fear that is mostly hidden in our unconscious mind and sometimes shows up through our responses, actions, or words. In today’s generation the mostly spread fears are of what people might say and think, fear of not being loved or not being enough as well as fear of missing out (also known as “FOMO”). Controlled by that some are afraid of rejection, embarrassment, failure, criticism, or loneliness. We end up finding it hard to say no or to set boundaries for ourselves to prevent the expected “danger or loss” from really happening. Fear also often comes along with insecurity. Looking at fear from a biblical perspective we get to understand that fear is not only an emotion but also a spirit. Yet this Spirit that we’re talking about was not given to us by God but rather sent from the enemy that comes to “steal, kill, and destroy” (John10:10). “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.” ,(2 Tim 1:7). “Perfect love casts fear out”, (1 John4:18)”. The Spirit of fear hinders us to experience love. It does not allow us to have a sound mind since we are constantly overthinking in addition highly aroused because we are expecting something negative to happen. In the same way, in the moment that fear is attacking us we are not able to even expect what is written in 2 Tim 1:7.
Fear wants to blind us from the reality. It rather destructs our lives. Fear does not want us to know that we have power, love, and a sound mind but it rather robs it from us. Maybe you can also testify that when fear kicks in, you don’t feel any of what God has given you instead. But that feeling doesn’t mean that God doesn’t still has it in store for us. The love of God is hindered to flow fully because of the feeling of fear. When fear increases, the flow of God’s love decreases. Fear does not want us to know about the truth and freedom of God. Fear is constantly infusing lies into our heads that can sound like “you’re not good enough” “You will mess it up, don’t even try it”. Because fear is a lie it doesn’t want me to see and know the truth of God. It hinders me from knowing that what I am expecting (harm, loss) is not the reality but a big, big lie. We will not be able to see the freedom God is talking about if we are so caught up in our fear that all our actions are controlled by that. Imagine you are in a dark cage, and you think that the live inside there is all God has for you. So, you just move inside this cage, not knowing that there is more. Because this room is filled with so much darkness you don’t even start looking for the door that could possibly get you out of that cage. Because you don’t see what’s out did. Of that cage you won’t know that despite the fact you are expecting something bad outside, in reality there is nothing Bad. This visualization of the dark cage should let you realize that fear only lets you move inside a specific framework so that you don’t have to engage with what you are afraid of. These lies rob your hope and courage to look for a way out so that you´ll potentially might stay in this cage. Fear doesn’t want us to know about the bigger picture that is outside of that cage so it limits our mind and action with lies. Some may have come to the point where we have heard about the truth, that there is a door to exit and a way of deliverance. But until we do not understand, believe, and apply the truth of salvation we stay in that same cage. When we read the bible, we see that a lot of men and women had to struggle with fear and couldn’t see the freedom as well as power that they could testify about when by God’s grace they overcame the fear at the end. In many of that stories there was no reason to fear because whenever they communicated their fear to God , He would quickly put them in place and let them now that they are secured in him and that they are not alone. So fearing is actually not needed because God has just secured and promised that nothing bad will happen. They don’t have to walk in the„fear-framework“ because now they know the reality which is: They are not about to experience any „harm/danger oder loss“. So when they got to to know understand the truth , believed it and applied it by breaking out of that cage and doing what God called them to do they finally experienced the spirit of“… power, and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim 1:7). What you just read is a pattern of fear but because there is power in your tongue begin to declare that you are breaking out of that “fear-framework”. Whatever fear you are dealing with you will overcome and the Lord will open your eyes to see his Power, love, truth, and freedom. He will cast out all fear when you begin to believe it and at the end you shall have a sound mind.

Who Is Jesus?
Tumblr media
This post aims at scripturally opening our eyes to who Jesus Christ is to us as believers, and indeed the world at large. And with this scriptural exposition, we’ll begin to give him his proper position in our lives. And by so doing, we can better enjoy the blessings of God in our lives. So Who Is Jesus Christ? The list below answers the question of who Jesus Christ is to us as believers and the world as a whole: Jesus is The Only Begotten Son of God: “And Jesus when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and lo the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying  This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased”—Matthew 3:16-17 Jesus is the Almighty God—The Same As The Father and The Holy Spirit: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty”—Revelation 1:8 (See also John 1:1; Isaiah 9:6-7) Jesus Christ is The Anointed one of God: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord… And he began to say unto them, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears”—Luke 4:18-19, 21(See also Isaiah 61:1-3) Jesus is Our Greatest Prophet sent from God the Father: “And there came a fear on all and they glorified God saying, that a great prophet is risen among us; and, That God hath visited his people”—Luke 7:16(See also Deuteronomy 18:15, 18; Matthew 21:11; John 6:14) Jesus Is Our Saviour and Redeemer: “And she shall bring forth a son,  and thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”—Matthew 1:21(See also Romans 3:24, 1Corinthians 1:30) Jesus is Our King—He is the King of Kings  and Lord  of Lords: “On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of Palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord”—John 12:12-13(See also John1:49) Jesus Is Our Advocate—Our Intercessor and Consoler: “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous”—1 John 2:1(See also Hebrews 7:25, Romans 8:27) Jesus Is The Propitiation for our sins—In other words, the atoning person or atonement for our sins: “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God”—Romans 3:24-25(See also 1John 2:2, 1John 4:10) Jesus Is Our Judge: “And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and dead”—Acts 10:42 (See also John 5:22) Jesus is Our Shepherd and Lord—as a shepherd leads and cares for his sheep, the Lord Jesus Christ is our good Shepherd. He says, “I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep”—John 10:11 (See also John10:14, Hebrews 13:20, 1Peter 2:25) The above list is an inexaustive answer to the question of who the Lord Jesus Christ is to us as believers and the world at large. Jesus is our everything. He is our all in all. He is our hope of eternal glory. But the above list gives the fundamental answer to the question of who Jesus Christ is. PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE TO DO SOMETHING TO GO TO HELL; THEY JUST HAVE TO DO NOTHING TO GO TO HELL. #repost @brigreen_srvnking Jesus did not use hell to try and compel “heathens” and “pagans” to believe in God, so they wouldn’t burn when they die. He talked about hell to very religious people to warn them about the consequences of straying from their God-given calling and identify to show the world God’s love. #religion #religiouspeople Jesus said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whenever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”- Mark16:15-16 #holyrollers #holierthanthou Jesus said, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. From Tasha, a servant of God and a preacher of the good news the gospel.
Temptation come to us all, we’re some how tempted daily by the devil to do something outside the will of God, right? I know we all do. Let’s look the bible scripture: “If people are tempted by such trials, they must not say, “This temptation comes from God.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. James‬ ‭1:13-15‬ ‭GNB‬‬
We know and understand that God can’t tempt no one with evil, he’s a good God, his desire for us is to be in good health, to enjoy life and to prosper. And some of us are not enjoying life or prospering, why? Because we are drawn away and trapped by our own selfish desires. we continue to live in sin, we causes our own tribulations and sufferings. The devil has permission to afflict such person with evil, bring illnesses and diseases and sin when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. We have to be careful of our choices and actions.
Some people spent 24hours on Facebook or YouTube, watching videos or messaging friends/families, that’s all good, but don’t spent the whole day on the media, you’ll feel depressed. Have a quality time with God, he love you and want your time, he want to be involve in everything that you do, not only going to church but God want to do life with you, through out the week, Monday to Sunday.
If you don’t spent time with God or have a relationship with him, that’s our own desires it’s not God’s will. The devil has more access, permission to afflict you. Because you’re not pleasing God but yourselves. the devil will tempts you to do things that you don’t want to do, he’s controlling your decisions and actions, you are not in the will of God, you’re not serving God or doing things that make him happy.
This was my testimony: last year I was tempted by devil to do something that I didn’t want to do, I mean it was pleasing to the eyes, it was enjoyable and beneficial it’s not “SEX” but I know if I did it, I won’t please God, so I pray, in my thoughts I knew what’s right/wrong to the father. I didn’t do it, it was my choice, I felt happy in my spirit.
We all have to make the right choice when we are tempted by the devil . We know that devil job on the earth it’s to cause temptations, sufferings and tribulations. He come only to steal, to kill and destroy. John10:10. In Hebrew is name is: “Abaddon” it means he’s the “destroyer”. Let’s all be aware of his tricks and plans for our life, we have power over the devil because we’re God’s children, we speak what we want by faith. If you feel tempted by any chance: remember to pray. Listen to your thoughts, do what you feel is best.
Always remember God is the source of everything that we want or desire. We’re destined to succeed in God’s will for our life. Stay bless: Tasha ❤️
