Undercover Agent

Request: Will you write about working with ultra but you're under cover and you actually help them? But one day you expose yourself and you let John go and you get punished for doing it. You did it because you couldn't take it anymore and you've also had fallen for John. (Not sure what punishment it could be), I'll let you decide. Thank you!!! One shot.

You had been sent in as an undercover agent, and you weren’t able to get as close to Jedikah as they had first thought because of that they decided that they needed someone else and that was the reason that they went looking for someone like Stefan but you were still kept undercover since you got valuable information and sometimes managed to sneak things out with you.

You were starting to get sick of the job though, you were always looking over your shoulder, and you had to make sure that no one was following you before you went back to The Lair at night or make sure that no one was listening to your phone calls. You never told any of them that though they relied on the information that you gave them and they wouldn’t be able to do what they do without it.

One day you had been back at Ultra for the day, they hadn’t sent you out on any missions but you heard that they had managed to catch someone. You felt your phone vibrating in your pocket and took off somewhere secluded to answer the phone. “Hello?” You asked. “They have John.” Cara said. “They got John?” You asked. “How?” “He let them catch him so the rest of us could get away.” She explained. “We need to get him back.” “There’s no way that you guys are going to be able to get in, now that they’ve caught him the security will be tight, they know that you’ll be coming for him.” You explained. “Then what do we do?” Cara asked. “Leave it to me, I’ll get him out. Don’t worry about it.” You muttered as you looked towards the staircase to the room that you knew he was being held in, you and no plan but you headed down there away, you knew that there wasn’t going to be much time to plan anything anyway.

When you opened the door, you quickly took down the two guards in the room and walked over to John, you quickly undid the restraints holding him to the table “you need to go.” You ordered him. “What about you?” He asked. “I’ll follow after I’m sure that they are too busy to follow me.” You promised. “Go, they're worried about you.” John looked at you for a second before disappearing from the room, you turned to the open door where Jedikiah was standing. “Well isn’t this a surprise, I never suspected you.” He said as he walked in. “you know that you won’t be able to follow him right?” “I know.” You nodded. “And there’s a punishment for the actions that you’ve taken.” He said. “I know.” You repeated “so hurry up and get on with it.” “Alright.” He smirked as he picked up the syringe that you assumed was meant for John, he walked over and stabbed it straight into your arm.

Hours later you were left wandering the streets late one night, there was nowhere for you to go, you knew that your family had moved away years ago and you had no powers to use. You didn’t even realise that someone had touched you until you were on top of a roof, you turned and saw John, his hands reaching out to stabilise you. “What happened?” He asked. “Nothing.” You answered. “Then why didn’t you come back?” He asked. “I can’t.” You answered. “You can’t?” He asked before his eyes widened. “No, they didn’t…” He took your hands “I never should have left you.” “It’s alright.” You smiled “now everyone is safe and you still have Stephen in there, they might even ease up on him now.” “I don’t care about that, come on we should go home before someone finds us out here.” He said as he pulled you towards him. “I can’t, I don’t belong there anymore.” You reminded him and he looked at you. “Who said that you don’t belong there?” John frowned as he leaned closer to you “I lead the place, I decide who belongs there and you definitely belong there.” He pressed a soft comforting kiss to your lips gently lifting your arms to wrap around his shoulders. “Now hold on I’m going to take you home.”

Don’t Tell Her

John Young X Reader

Requrest: Can you write a story where John makes a deal with Jedikah and he has to go with him or something. Reader doesn't know anything about it and John knows it'll destroy her so he figures it'd be better off if she thinks he cheated on her instead. Like he makes her hate him to try to make it easier on her in the long run and has to leave. John had to make sure no one would follow them. (I hope this made sense) .

You and John got together a couple of months after he broke up with Cara, you had always loved him but you respected that he was in love with someone else, you ended up being the one to help him through the pain because of your experience with that feeling, although he never cheated on you in any way loving someone who didn't love you back felt very similar. John figured out what was going on as he started to fall for you and one day he decided to pull you in and kiss you lucky for him you were still very accepting of those feeling and happy to have them accepted finally.

However things like this never lasted long in the lives that you lead and before you knew it you were face to face with danger again in the form of Jedikiah, you were grabbed by Ulta in one of the breakout rescues and he used you as leverage to get John to talk to him "I all I want from you is to join us again, you know how important you are." He informed him and John glared at him. "You let her go, with her powers," John ordered. "Sure." Jedikiah nodded lifting his hand "I'll have someone-" "No I'll let her go, I can't trust your people to do anything," John answered as he looked over the door where they were standing on guard, Jedikiah nodded. "Fine but I'm going with you."

When you opened your eyes the first thing you saw was John and you were so relieved that you didn't notice the look of disdain on his face "John! You found me." You breathed a sigh of relief but then your eyes travelled behind him to where Jedikiah was standing. "What is he doing here?" "(Y/N) do you honestly think that after all this, I'm really with you guys?" He asked leaning down so that his face was centimetres away from his. "What are you talking about?" You asked. "This is the only chance that you are going to get to get out of here with your powers." He answered, "if you come back or you refuse to leave they can do whatever they want to you." "John, what the hell is going on?" You asked. "Get out." He ordered voice cold as he undid the restraints. "John?" You asked again. "I said get out!" He ordered, "and tell the others that it was fun pretending."

You stumbled straight out of the building hiding in an ally, trying to gather yourself, you breathing harshly as you tried to figure out where to go next, your eyes moving back to the building for a split second to see him turning back in there was a girl waiting for him, he looped his arms around her shoulder as he walked back into the building and she leaned up and kissed his cheek, you wanted to vomit, you should have known someone like him didn't actually want someone like you. You finally got back to The Lair, Cara, Stephen and Russell were planning a way to get you and John back "there's no need for that." You said as you fell onto the sofa arm pulled over your eyes. "Where's John?" Cara asked. "He's not coming back," you mumbled. "Apparently been playing us the whole time." "What are you talking about?" Russell asked as he came to crouch next to your figure. "Trust me, he's not coming back." You said as Russell noticed the tears rolling down your face, your emotions made it easy to see into your head and Cara let out a gasp as she realized what had happened, seeing it all play out the way that you did, she walked over and pulled you into a hug. "There has to be some other explanation for this," Cara said softly and you shrugged. "Doesn't matter what the reason is, he's not with us anymore." You said before pulling yourself away from them "we still have a job to do, a war to fight, so let's just win." They all looked at you and while they all thought you needed some time they knew that they didn't have any to give you so they all made a silent agreement to keep an eye on you and find out what the hell was going on with John.

Holy shit! As much as I pride myself on being able to see and call plot twists and what not I did NOT see that one coming. Luca breaking out. I mean I've always questioned why Steven and not Luca... But damn. I really thought it was Peter. I mean why else would he have asked Steven if he had said something when he was using telepathy? Also, I really thought john was a goner and I may have sorta cried a bit. Go Cara! You and your incredibly stubborn ass! That was an emotionally traumatic scene... Especially with the adorable old guy being shot to death. And Jedikiah crying. Shit! He has emotions and stuff! This episode man.

They thought it was distracting their duties as leader but the two miss each other a Lot that they don't even really talk to each other unless they have to. Russell and Stephen don't like it and try to fix it, in the end the two get back together are happy. Tomorrow People story thank you AND I'm not sure if you did this but a one shot turn the preference of how John tells you how he feels about you into one shot.

You and John were dating before but it seemed that the relationship made it hard for him to run The Lair the way that he needed to, so you both decided that you were going to break up, it was a mutual agreement you were on good terms but every time that you looked at each other you wished that you hadn't, it was what was best for everyone, they needed John and it would have been selfish of you to keep him to yourself so instead you tried to bury yourself in keeping everyone else safe. Russell and Stephen had noticed the change in you and John, you both seemed sadder, the longing that you both had was hard to watch and they wanted nothing more than to be able to get you guys back together but they knew that the only way that we're going to do that was to prove to you both that it was safe.

Over the next couple of weeks things changed dramatically and Cara made a play for leadership, she did get it and that left John a bit confused, he knew that the only reason that you guys had broken up was because of him being the leader but now that he wasn't all he wanted was you, unfortunately, it seemed like you had settled into your life without him well and to come to you now could shake up everything that you had built without him. Russell and Stephen honestly thought that you were going to get back together after that but it didn't happen. Everyone started talking about a party that was happening above ground and Cara had said that everyone could go, Russell was excited and he had a plan to get you and John back together.

Unfortunately, nothing went to plan and Ultra managed to corner everyone, you were helping to get everyone out so you were one of the last people out of the building and you also come face to face with Stephen and his partner so you lifted your hands nodding subtly to him as he walked over "Take me in." You said slowly as you let him cuff you. "They'll take you back." He mumbled. "If I try to get out of this I'm only going to end up dead, if you let me go now they'll never trust you, you have to take me in now." You explained as you walked with him. "We'll get you out." He promised. "Yeah, I know you will." You smiled as he put you in the back of the car, the power dampening handcuffs stopping you from getting away.

To say John was angry was an understatement, you weren’t supposed to be caught Cara said that everyone was going to be okay but then they came back and you weren’t there. “Where is she?” He asked and she appeared with Russell and Stephen. “She gave herself up so that we could get back,” Russell said. “She what?” He asked. “We need to go get her.” “We can’t do that,” Cara said. “What so she’s supposed to just stay there?” John asked. “You’re the leader and you said that everyone was going to be okay. I trusted you.” “I can’t control everything,” Cara argued. “That’s why we need to save her.” He answered.

You had been in the chair for what seemed like hours. You knew what was going to happen but you didn’t know why they had waited so long but they now held the needle to your arm. “You could have avoided this,” Jedikiah said, his hand moving to your head brushing your hair out of your eyes but you jerked your head away from him. “Do it.” You’re not sure what happened after that it was a blur of people yelling but you did know that they injected you, that your power was gone so when John leaned over you. “(Y/N) you’re okay, I’m gonna get you out of here.” He promised but you shook your head. “You should go.” You said trying to stop the tears from falling. “What are you talking about?” He asked. “My powers are gone, there is no point in breaking me out, you have to go, you are far more valuable than I am.” You explained. “No (Y/N) I’m not leaving you here, powers or not you are the person that I love and I will keep you safe, with me no matter what.” He confessed. “Now let’s get you out of here.”

When you got back to The Lair John took you into the office "I would have been there sooner but Irene was hurt badly and Stephen had to take her to the hospital he couldn't tell me what happened until after that." John explained. "It's not your fault." You cut him off. "I knew what would happen if I went there, it's not like I'm completely useless without them though." "Of course you're not," John said immediately. "I wanted to ask you something before all of this happened but I want you to know that what happened hasn't changed my mind, I want you to take me back, I know we broke up before and that you've been living your life without me for a long time but-" "Are you sure?" You asked, "It’s going to be a lot of work to keep me safe." "Nothing will change my mind," John said again. "I want nothing more." You confessed and he smiled, pulling you closer and pressing a kiss to your forehead. "Get some rest okay? I'll be here when you wake up." He promised covering you up and not intended to move until you were fully rested.

Love Scares Me

John Young X Reader

Request: Having a hidden crush on Stephen but you have to move on cause he likes Cara, you try to get through it and John helps you. It eventually works and you slowly move on from Stephen but you get scared cause you feel you're starting to fall for John so you don't hang around him much due to that. One shot.

You were an orphan apparently when you were younger your parents decided that the safest place for you was as far away from them, they had been friends with Stephen's and they took you in when it turned out that you were going to get put into the system. Stephen's mum could never explain to you what happened to your parents, she claimed that she didn't know although you always had a feeling that she was lying. You were never able to prove that though so you continue with your life as best you could alone in the hopes that the lonely feeling would go away if you waited long enough.

Stephen became a constant in your life, he was the one that was always where and with him he brought Astrid, most people knew that you could be found together and for a while, you felt like you had filled the void left by your parents, however, Stephen started acting weird and you knew that there was something wrong it all came to a head when Stephen's uncle Jedikiah asked if he could talk to you. You knew that Stephen had started working for him and you wondered if it had something to do with that. "You wanted to talk to me?" You asked as someone directed you into his office. "I assume it's about Stephen." "Actually it's about you." He informed you as he gestured for you to sit down. "I wonder if anyone has ever spoken to you about your parents." "You knew them?" You asked. "I was friends with them just like Stephen's parents." He explained. "Oh really, no one ever said anything." You said softly. "They even helped build this place." He gestured "so I thought you might want to work here too." "You want me to work here?" You asked. "Doing what?" "There are a couple of different positions here, you can try a few and see what fits you best." He suggested with a shrug. "Um, I need some time to think about it, is that okay?" You asked. "Of course, this is a decision that will affect the rest of your life." He nodded gesturing that you could leave and so you did.

You decided that you would talk to Stephen about it, when you got home you saw that he wasn't there, so you waited in his bedroom like you had so many times before, the only problem was that he wasn't expecting you to be there and it was literally like he had appeared out of thin air, your mouth dropped open as you registered that there was another girl with him. "(Y/N)," Stephen said, he knew exactly what you were thinking and he could hear the way that your mind was reeling. "Y-you just appeared.. Like, like magic." You stuttered out the sentence in the hopes that it would get him to start talking, get him to say anything. "(Y/N)." He said softly as he put a hand on your cheek directing your gaze at him, "focus, I need you to listen when I explain this to you."  Stephen then explained everything to you and even told you that you shouldn't work for Jedikiah so you did as he asked and you turned down the job, despite the opportunity to find out about your parents and if they were even still alive.

That was where the problems started, Stephen was around less and you never knew what was going on, he would occasionally come to you when he needed your help with something but then he would disappear with only the explanation that he was going to help the others but most of the time that meant help Cara (who you found out was the girl that was with him the day that you found out about everything). You felt like you were losing him and that lonely feeling that you had gotten rid of was coming back so you found yourself spending more time with Astrid in the hopes that you could keep it at bay for a little longer.

A couple of months later you were at the cafe with Astrid you were both going to head out after she had spoken to her parents but it was then that you found yourself ducking under the tables as shot ran out through the place, your eyes moved around finding everyone else had the same idea that you had and noting that everyone seemed to be largely harmed. After the police questioned you both, you and Astrid left, Astrid called Stephen and it was a few minutes after that you were on the run from people that you had never seen before, you pushed Astrid in front of you and told her to run if anyone should get out of this then it should be here, you both rounded a corner and hid and that was when someone claiming to know Stephen. "My name is John, Stephen asked me to make sure that you were both okay." He said you remembered Stephen mentioning someone called John before. "Astrid go with him." You ordered. "What are you talking about, we don't even know him," Astrid argued. "Stephen does, I promise you everything is going to be okay, you just need to go with him for now." You said as you turned back towards the way that you came, you knew they would be here soon. You felt someone catch your arm. "What are you doing?" You looked back at John and shrugged. "Causing a destruction, whatever is going on here, my parents were involved once and that means that I'm involved at least if they grab me I know what's going on, they can't get her." You said as you gestured to Astrid. "I'll find you after." He promised and you nodded but honestly didn't think that was going to happen.

Literally, an hour later you were caught and sitting in Jedikiah's office "so this is why you turned down my job because you running around with The Tomorrow People?" He asked as he folded his hands on the desk. "I'm sorry the what?" You asked, threw you a picture from a security camera that showed you talking to John. "That's Stephen's friend." "Your very good and pretending that you don't know what's going on." Jedikiah mused. "I thought you would know more than me, he started talking about them after he started working with you, I thought he met them because of you." You shrugged. "What does he say about them?" He asked. "Nothing I understand, I think he's lying to me said something about rivals." You frowned. "Guess I'd know if I took the job." "That you would." He muttered, Jedikiah watched you for a second and he honestly couldn't tell if you were lying or not, so he lifted his hand and you were escorted out of the building.

By the time that you had gotten home Stephen was there waiting and Cara was there too "What did you tell them!?" Cara asked. "Hi, I'm fine thank you." You glared as you pushed past both of them and walked into the kitchen to get a drink. "I have to make sure that my people are safe, so what did you tell them?" She asked again, your eyes moved to Stephen as he stepped forward. "We just need to know if they got anything from you," Stephen said softly. "You think I would do that to you after everything that you told me?" You asked. "Maybe to save yourself." Cara interrupted and you nodded. "You believe that?" You asked Stephen. "No, I-" "Then what are you doing here?" You asked. "Why are you interrogating? Why are you treating me like the enemy?" "You're not like us you could be," Cara answered as silence settled. "After everything that I've done for you, I let go of the chance to find out about my parents, kept my life as normal as I could and even walked into the lion's den, for you to tell me that I'm the enemy?" You asked, neither of them said anything so you walked away, you made your way up the stairs and into your room, your door slammed closed behind you but your first action was to pull your fist back in an attempt to punch the wall but someone caught your elbow before you could. "You'll regret doing that once you calmed down." A voice much softer than you had been used to all day, you turned to see John. "What are you doing here?" You asked. "I told you that I would come to check on you." He said. "Mm." You hummed. "Thanks." "Well, it served a purpose for me too." He admitted. "You have things you want to run from too?" You asked. "Seems they follow me everywhere." He shrugged as he looked at the door. "Seems like we have the same problems then." You sighed finally pulling away from him and sitting on your bed gesturing for him to take a seat. "Stephen cheat you ?" He asked a bitter smile on his face and you were silent and your mind processed what that meant. "No just never realised that I was in love with him." You shrugged. "Was?" He asked. "It's probably better to move on from someone who's got no intention of returning your feelings." You shrugged. "How was Astrid anyway?" "She's fine, I explained what I could to her but it might be better for you to see her tomorrow." He explained. "I don't know how safe that's going to be, I assume that they are watching me now." Your eyes moved to the window where you had left your curtains open that morning. "Don't worry I won't be far, if anything happens, I'll make sure I keep you both safe." He promised. "Why?" You asked. "You sacrificed a lot for us." He answered, "get some rest, trust me."

For the next couple of months, John looked after you, made sure that you were safe and even became one of your best friends, you hardly thought of Stephen when he was around. John was something better than you ever thought you thought that he was going to be there for a couple of weeks and then leave but he continued to be there even after you suggested that he use his time differently but then you started to feel something familiar, something that scared you, you were falling for John hard and you decided that the best way to deal with that was to avoid it and hope that it or he went away. You thought that was going well but you forgot about one thing that made John very different from most people that you had tried to avoid before and that was that he had direct access to your bedroom whether you wanted him to or not.

"So are you going to tell me what's going on with you?" John asked and you jumped out of your skin after coming home late again all to avoid him. "Nothing, I've just been spending more time with Astrid." You answered as you started putting things away to distract yourself. "You're avoiding me." He said. "Did something happen? Did Jedikiah-" "No." You answered quickly, you realised as the mention of the name what you probably put John through "it has nothing to do with him." "Then what are you doing?" He asked. "Is there something that you don't want me to know?" "I just don't want you to go away." You admitted. "You're pushing me away." He said as he took a step towards you cautious of you stepping away from him. "I know, I just... I'm scared." You answered tears gathering in your eyes. "Of what?" He asked. "I... You'll leave if I tell you." You managed to say through tears. "I promise I'm not going anywhere, there is nothing you can say that will make me leave you." He said. "Even if I said that I love you?" You asked eyes closing. "That's the best thing I've heard in months." you could hear the smile and it caused your eyes to open in shock before he pressed forward and kissed you, your eyes feel shut again at the feeling of his lips on yours, you had waited so long for this, it was better than you expected and you never wanted it to end but you both needed air and when you did pull away John let out a small chuckle. "Please don't ever hide from me."

Request: Could you write something about how reader shot someone to protect John that she was also tricked and tortured by Jedikah too, but she feels ashamed of herself even though she wouldn't take it back cause she saved John life. He tries to be there for her, comfort her and wished she told him sooner even though he already had an idea cause she was also trapped with Jedikah and used for a whole too. One shot. AND Can you write a story about what reader does that makes John angry ? If it's too hard maybe a preference instead. When you first come to the Tomorrow People you expected that the secrets from your past were going to be revealed but Cara never said anything, neither did John so you didn't either. You were the next step in Jedikiah's experiments you were older when you went into them but you were on the other side of the experimental line, he wanted to see if gender and the means by which he raised you made a difference, he gave you the same drugs and tore down the one wall that stopped you from killing anyone, you were then trained far more brutally than John was and so instead of sticking around the help him you broke protocol immediately and they thought that they killed you. Jedikiah forgot about you figuring that you were not a problem for them anymore while you were found by the police and taken to the hospital, it took a long while for you to be able to leave and while they tried to find out who you were and what you were doing shot in an ally way you were taught how to lie very well, which was why Jedikiah never found you again.

You disappeared from the hospital when you were able to move and that was when John, Cara and Russell found you, John had a feeling that there was something that you were telling them but he had to right to ask considering he was still hiding from all of you. You were sitting in the common area it was dark so John didn't see you as he walked out, you watched as he teleported and it took a second for you to decide that you were going to find him, you did it took a little while and by the time that you had found him you saw that he was standing in front of Jedikiah, it looked like he came alone but from where you were standing you could see the two men sneaking up on John, you knocked out the first one quickly but in that time the other now was closing in, you decided that there was no time to keep a secret, you grabbed the gun from the guy at your feet aimed and pulled the trigger, both Jedikiah and John looked in the direction of the gunshot but John was the first to make out who you were "(Y/N)?" He asked "(Y/N)?" Jedikiah asked as he tried to see you through the shadows. "I thought you were dead." "That's because you don't pay attention." You glared as you watched him reaching for the gun in his waistband, you teleported to John and then away from Jedikiah. "What are you doing out here?" John asked as he walked over to you and checked you over. "I saw you leave and I was worried about you, turns out I was right." You said as you gestured in the general direction that Jedikiah was standing in before. "He knew you... Why?" John asked, you fiddled with your fingers for a second but it only took you a second to realise that there was no way that you could keep the secret, he had seen you kill someone else anyway. "He thought that he killed me years ago, he trained me to be a killer, he taught me how to kill and I hate myself because for a little while I did it because I thought that it was going to make him leave me alone, eventually I broke out and he couldn't catch me so he decided that I was too dangerous to have running around." You explained. "When I first got found by the police, I was a more violent and when you found me I was so angry but since then I realised that the only person I was angry at was me because I just wasn't strong enough to stop him. I wouldn't change having this power it's the only way that I was able to save you but... I just..." "You know that there was nothing that you could have done to stop him from hurting you like that." He said as he stepped forward taking your shaking hands in his "I couldn't stop him from doing the same to me." You looked at him shocked but he just pulled you into a hug "he took everything from me as well, but we have something else now and I promised myself that I would do anything in my power to keep it safe and that means using the power that he gave me to keep everyone else safe."

From then on you and John were never seen apart, you often partnered with him, and everyone commented on the way that you were. That being said you were there when Cara cheated and that was why you were the first person to try and save him when Jedikiah grabbed him. "I thought the other girl was going to be here." Jedikiah smiled as he leaned against the wall outside the building. "No, she's got a whole lot of work to be doing." You waved him off. "So you came instead." He shrugged as he gestured for you to follow him, there were a few twists and turns before you were standing in a room where John was strapped to a table with what looked like a syringe next to him. "I'm sure that you know what that is." "I guess that's the stuff that will take away his powers." You suggested and he nodded. "So what are you suggesting?" "Well the truth is that I can't have both of you running around making trouble for me, you're just too dangerous," Jedikiah admitted. "But you could trade yourself for him and then he can go." "Deal." You nodded at the same time that John yelled out: "No!" You walked over to him, you reached over to him and pulled one of his hands free, Jedikiah let you undo all of the restraints before he pulled out the gun, John was so focused on you, on yelling at you for the sacrifice that you made that neither of you saw him lift the gun, you both heard him shoot but only one of you felt it, you looked down at your chest where the blood-covered your shirt you looked back at John. "Guess you were right again." You smiled as you coughed, blood falling from the corners of your lips as your legs gave out, John hopped off the table that he had previously been tied to, he tried to moe you but you only cried out in pain, you reached out for him getting him to look at you. "It's okay, your going to be safe right? You can save to world." "I can't do that on my own." He said softly. "I need you." "You don't need me." You denied him "I know that you think you need me but the truth is you don't. I've known that the moment that I feel for you." "I love you." He said pressing his forehead to yours. "I love you too, but you'll be able to move on without me, just promise you won't let him win." You pleaded as your eyes started to close, John pulled your body close as he teleported back to the others.

"John what happened!?" Cara asked as she run over to him cradling your body. "While you all argued about the best way to get me, she actually died trying." John said "I promised that I would save the world so now we need to find a way to save it or we die trying."
