Jessica Law hired me to arrange and produce her next album!
Jess and I spent this week in the studio, getting the core elements of six new songs down, with 5 more to work on later this year.
Over the next several weeks, I’m going to be going back in and recording myself on additional instruments, then mixing and mastering…it’s gonna keep me busy for a while!
Jess’ latest songs sound fresh and vital. You’re going to be getting the real Jess Law with this album, no affectations or gimmicks. Get ready!
Gods above I am so fucking stupid (but how could I resist) Based on this tweet. Unfortunately I could not extract the mandolin
[ID: a tweet by @neitherabaron on twitter replying to a reply on another post by Jessica Law. Her tweet reads “Stop taking my lyrics and making them weird!” The tweet in response, by Kofi, reads “my rewrite of trial by song: I’m not a man/i don’t have hands/thought I could speak (followed by 3 mins of dead silence)” end ID]
Tim Ledsam yearns for tunnels in which he is given immortality he never asked for. Jonathan Sims yearns to recount others' tragedies for our entertainment. Jessica Law yearns to play an inanimate being that speaks using a stolen voice. Frank Voss yearns to engage in an investigation that ultimately leads them to their doom.
if you're not following the mechs on twitter i have to say you are missing out

I don't have hands *mandolin cuts off*
Thought I could speak
(Followed by 3 mins of dead silence)
Jessica Law: Damn youuuuuu!
Kofi Young: Let the record show that Jess writes the best lyrics of all of us and that I’m just jealous.
