Okay, this whole storyline with Boden’s neighbor accusing him of assaulting her is pissing me off. 

I just hate how every episode it seems this case isn’t going Boden’s way and I don’t see how this is gonna work out in his favor.

Round 1, Match 13: Christopher Herrmann vs. Otose

Propaganda under the cut!

Christopher Herrmann:

He only has one biological daughter so whenever a young women joins his firehouse he basically just immediately adopts them. Twice as fast if they're looking for advice with a business venture. Most dad ever <3

Otose:

"Okay so Otose is a middle aged to elderly woman who we are introduced to in the series as Gintoki’s landlady. However we later learn that when visiting her husband’s grave she found Gintoki, in his late teens having been discreetly released from the prison he was held in because the head executioner didn’t believe he deserved death. In exchange for being allied to eat the manju she wanted to offer her husband, Gintoki promised (her husband since it was his manju) to always protect Otose. She then took him, cleaned him up, helped him heal, and let’s him live with her. While she’s technically his landlady, Gintoki doesn’t pay rent, ever. To the extant that when his rival and him switch bodies, and said rival pays rent, she takes it as a sign of the apocalypse. Also I should note later arcs draw clear parallels between Gintoki and her husband And her other love interest, Jirochou, almost like he’s the kid they never had.

Catherine is introduced as a new employee of Otose’s, a middle aged woman who’s a dream employee right up until it’s revealed this is a con and she’s actually robbing Otose. Gintoki puts a stop to it, and Otose’s response it to, rehire her, realizing Catherine has no opportunities But crime otherwise. This creates an intense loyalty that while Catherine might bitch about, she once put her life on the line, telling her old crew she can’t do another job with them, leading them to try and beat her to death before Gintoki intervenes.

Then there’s Tama, a robot who began as a toy her creator made for his sick daughter, but as he kept improving upon her, eventually made her into a fully functioning android he essentially saw as his daughter. Then Tama is framed for murdering him, and then she learns he set it up to create a robot apocalypse. Afterwards Otose takes her in, and gives her a job working for her.

A final element of Otose’s adoptive nature is how she became one of the four devas of Kabukicho. The four devas are the most powerful people in Kabukicho and the other three are, a yakuza and former war hero/criminal, another former war hero/criminal who single handily took out fleets of enemies, and a former captain of the Harusame (space pirates). What did Otose do to join their ranks? Well she repeatedly helped people out when she didn’t have to, the repeated kindness she showed to everyone when they needed it meant that multiple residents were willing to put their lives on the line to defend her. Like it takes kidnapping the son of another deva and holding him hostage to get that fraction to turn on her. "

Raza Jaffrey as Dr. Neal Hudson, an ER attending physician. A British-Indian former surgeon, his approach is quieter and more people-oriented, than his mentor Dr. Rorish. He connected with Christa during her first year of residency. In "Hail Mary", Hudson becomes a surgical attending, and is once again assigned to the ER (season 1).[7][8]

Bonnie Somerville as Dr. Christa Lorenson, a mature first-year resident. She was married with a son who died of brain cancer. Her experience and her divorce inspired her to attend medical school (season 1).[7]

Melanie Chandra as Dr. Malaya Pineda, a first-year resident (seasons 1–2). She went to medical school and did her internship at Angels Memorial, and is more familiar with the ER. She is a lesbian, who was once involved with a resident when she was a medical student.

William Allen Young as Dr. Rollie Guthrie, an ER attending physician with a very nurturing style; he takes Angus under his wing in his first days in the ER. Guthrie's wife committed suicide, a death that strained his relationship with his son, a surgeon. During season 2, Guthrie is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, and undergoes corrective neurological surgery to delay the onset of symptoms. Guthrie had a daughter who died from carbon monoxide poisoning while Guthrie tried to save his son from a similar death.

Harry Ford as Dr. Angus Leighton, a first-year resident. His father is on the hospital board. He feels overshadowed by that and by the achievements of his older brother, a former resident, but slowly grows in confidence. In his second year he is encouraged to transfer and become a surgical resident.

Benjamin Hollingsworth as Dr. Mario Savetti, a first-year resident. He grew up poor and sees emergency medicine as his way out. He worked as a bartender before medical school.

Luis Guzmán as Jesse Salander, known as "Mama". A senior nurse who manages the residents, Jesse is tough but caring and supportive of the students. He and Dr. Rorish have a long-term, close friendship.

Boris Kodjoe as Dr. Will Campbell, Chief of Surgery. In season 2 he is assigned as the new Chief of the combined Surgery and Emergency medicine department in order to save costs, causing strife between him and Rorish. Campbell has a disabled daughter (season 2–3; recurring in season 1).

Jillian Murray as Dr. Heather Pinkney, a surgical resident who becomes involved with Mario.(season 2; recurring in season 1). He quickly ends it when he hears about her side relationship with Dr. Campbell. She gets in further trouble when it's revealed she's providing Angus with Adderall. When confronted by Campbell, she threatens to turn their past relationship into a sexual harassment case.

Noah Gray-Cabey as Elliot Dixon, a first-year resident in the ER (season 2-3).

Emily Tyra as Noa Kean, an ER resident and former dancer. She begins a relationship with Dr. Mario Savetti (season 3; recurring season 2)

Emily Alyn Lind as Ariel Braeden (season 3; guest seasons 1–2)

Shiri Appleby as Dr. Carla Niven, a former resident at Angels Memorial and Malaya's ex-girlfriend. She is diagnosed with leukemia while pregnant, and refuses treatment not wanting to harm the baby.

Christina Vidal as Dr. Gina Perello, the replacement Director of the Emergency Department at Angels Memorial, who takes over when Dr. Taylor is put on leave.

Gabrielle Carteris as Amy Wolowitz, R.N., a nurse in the Emergency Department.

Meagan Good as Dr. Grace Adams, returns to the ER after volunteering in Haiti. She is Dr. Neal Hudson's ex-girlfriend.

-So, I just finished the episode where Mills leaves and I'm so sad. I don't know why this decision was made, but I don't like it at all!

-I'm gonna miss Mills so much.

-I need them all to give Chili a chance. I get they are all sad that Mills is gone, but them being standoffish/cold to her isn’t gonna help anything. She seems really sweet and I want them to be nice to her.

I’m of two minds on how it’d go.

Jess and Rory are twins. Separated at birth. Emily did it. She gave Jess to a trainee nurse. A one Elizabeth Danes. Liz was honest when he asked questions. He knows who his birth mother is. And won’t leave her alone once he gets to Stars Hollow. And now Emily has to face her misdeeds. Which she of course denies.

Dream episode where Lorelai dreams that Jess is her son and that Rory is Luke’s niece. Laurie Gilmore’s love life is still a shambles. He’s got both Lane and Paris vying for his attention. He’s constantly rude to both Lorelai and Christopher (who did get married at sixteen in this) and Richard and Emily. Jessica Danes, however, may be off putting what with the spiky green hair. But she’s polite and kind, always helps out at her uncles diner unprompted and she’s very close to Dean Forester who is still the perfect boyfriend. Now Lorelai’s gotta figure out what’s real and what’s not real.

Oooh, these are interesting! And both are ripe for drama lol.

This one would definitely bring more dysfunctional family drama to the table. Poor Lorelai! Like being a teen mom to twins wouldn’t be hard enough without losing one of them. ☹️ Grieving the loss of one child while trying to raise the other only to discover your own mother sent him away? Oof. I don’t think Emily could ever be forgiven for that one. Possibly not even by Richard. I could see Emily doing that while at her worst if the doctor diagnosed Jess with a potential medical issue/disability that she thought would be a burden and tarnish the Gilmore family name.

This one would have more interpersonal drama (Also, aahhhh LAURIE!!! My Little Women-loving heart! 🥺💖). This is probably the direction my brain would have gone - a bit of a gender-swap scenario. But I like yours better, because it has more interesting added changes than mine would have had. I like that Christopher would be more involved in the story, and I think the Laurie/Lane/Paris love triangle would be to die for! 🥰 (I take it this would mean that Laurie’s also a good student who made it into Chilton?) I love the sound of Jessica. That would have a two-fold appeal for me, because I’m slightly in the Dean/Jess shipping camp, and Jessica bears some resemblance to a girl I’ve imagined Dean meeting/developing feelings for in a ‘Dean stayed in college and never married Lindsay’ au. Now, when you say “Lorelai’s gotta figure out what’s real and not real” - is that in a Twilight Zone/Inception sense, or would it just be a really vivid dream, like the one she had about being pregnant with Luke’s twins?
