It is comfort character day!!! Collab between me & my dear friend @tacomanarrows <3 Info on who did what under the cut!
The initial sketch was by me! We both drew each others comfort characters, so I did Jenny (Wayside) and Bolt (Bolt), and he did Leafpool (wc) and Louie (Pikmin)! I edited them all together and then Tacoma did the lovely bg. It was a ton of fun !!! Thanks for doing this with me Tac!!!

Injured X
Alexia Putellas x Child!Reader
Jenni Hermoso x Child!Reader
Summary: You go back to ballet
Tumblr media
Alexia doesn't know whether to be proud or horrified.
You've not even been out of the hospital for three days before she receives a text from Jenni saying that you're going back to ballet - by your own accord.
Alexia has been invited too and she fusses in front of the mirror, tugging at her outfit as she stares.
There's an extra training session tonight, taking penalties, and while Alexia would usually attend, she finds herself staring in her mirror as she contemplates putting her hair up or leaving it loose.
Olga leans by the door, Jaume on her hip. "You are seeing Bambi," She chides," Not going to a business meeting. A suit is not needed."
Alexia tugs at her blazer sleeve. Her slacks aren't buttoned up quite yet and her shirt isn't as crisp as it could be. "Are you sure?"
"Comfortable, Ale," Olga says," A t-shirt and some trackies. Jeans if you must but it's just a ballet class. You're not meeting investors. Change."
Alexia huffs but does as she's told, swapping her slacks for some Barcelona-issued tracksuit bottoms along with her white button-down for a plain t-shirt. Her blazer is taken from her in favour of a lightweight jacket and she's pushed out of the door in her trainers before she can contemplate other shoe options.
She's early for your ballet practice and she can hear you before you and Jenni even turn the corner.
You're talking animatedly to her, your little hand tight in hers as she looks down at you. Jenni's smiling at you, a big beaming smile that falls like a lance through Alexia's chest as she watches Jenni hang off your every word.
You stop in front of her, eyes wide as you shuffle a little closer like you're wary of her. "Hi, Mami."
Alexia smiles. "Hi, Bambi."
You very slowly shuffle even closer, looking like you're going to bolt back to the safety Jenni offers you before your little arms are wrapped around Alexia's legs in a hug.
Alexia's hand very gently runs through your unbound hair as you peer up at her with those same wide eyes.
"Come on, Bambi," Jenni calls and you immediately scamper back to her side," You've still got to change your shoes and gets your hair done. Inside, come on."
Jenni holds the door open for you and you hurry in, finding a place at a bench already crammed with parents and children as you begin to pull off your shoes.
"How is she?" Alexia asks.
"Sleepy," Jenni answers," Still a little emotional. She cried when I told her she should take another day off from ballet so here we are." She rummages around in the bag on her back. "Bambi, feet please."
You place one foot on Jenni's bent knee as she slips on your ballet flat before swapping to do the other. "When I'm eleven or twelve," You tell Mami," I can wear fancy pointe shoes and go up to tippy-toe!"
"Only if you keep practising," Jenni reminds you as she moves around the back to scrape your hair into a bun. Her hand skims your upper back and you flinch and Jenni notices instantly, freezing her movements until you fully relax again.
She doesn't touch your back again as she makes sure all of your hair is tied back in a bun.
"Alright," She says and you twist around to face her, turning your back on Mami as Ma-Jenni cups your face," What's the most important thing?"
"Having fun."
"That's right. Have fun. Turn on your listening ears and try your hardest."
You nod.
"And if you feel sleepy or tired you tell the teacher right away and they'll come and get me, understand?"
"Yes."
"Alright."
The door to the studio opens as students come out and your group goes in. You move with the crowd before stopping and turning around again.
You run back to Jenni, giving her a big hug before being released. You make an aborted movement to go again but stop yourself. In a few light steps, you're standing in front of Alexia.
"I'm going in now, Mami," You say," Bye-bye."
"I'm not going anywhere, Bambi," Alexia says," I'll be right here with Jenni when you come out."
You frown, head tilted to the side in confusion. "Why? Today's always penalty practice. You always go to penalty practice."
"Well, today, I'm at ballet practice. I'm staying here."
You look up at her, trying to puzzle out if she's lying to you and Alexia takes the chance to very carefully pull you into a hug. You're tense and rigid for a moment before you're fully relaxed against her, bringing your own arms up for a hug of your own.
You pull away and Alexia lets you, even though she desperately wants to keep you with her. So, she settles on walking you to the door.
Jenni's there too, talking with your teacher.
"-Just out of hospital. She might be a little woozy today or tired. I'm just outside if she needs a break or something."
You slip into the studio and get lost in the crowd of other kids as Alexia takes a seat on the bench with Jenni and the other parents. It's a little awkward.
Jenni knows everyone, greeting people casually and answering their small talk while Alexia awkwardly sits there.
Usually, she uses the time you're in ballet to run a few errands before going into an extra training session. Usually, she'd already be in the car and gone, picking up the dry cleaning from the fancy place down the street or getting the groceries done even though she could get them delivered.
It's odd to be sitting here.
Sitting here with her ex, staring through the glass walls to watch your session.
It's clear to Alexia that some of these kids are just here to have fun. They're here because their parents signed them up for this. But not you.
Even now, at such a young age, Alexia can recognise her laser focus in you, from the way you very slightly change your positioning or how you're always staring at your teacher, not letting your eyes stray through the windows to where you know Alexia and Jenni are sitting.
Your only focus is on your ballet and Alexia can imagine a grown up version of you in her head, with a proper outfit and pointe shoes and hair in a bun you've done yourself. She can imagine you on a stage with a full orchestra accompanying your dancing.
Alexia blinks and that image of you is gone.
It's just the you now and the way a tiny sliver of your tongue sticks out as you shift your foot further outwards.
"She's so talented," One of the other mothers says to Jenni, who beams.
The praise goes straight to Jenni's chest like this woman has personally complimented her. Your talent is obvious even at this age and Jenni knows under the right guidance, you're going to be great.
Her heart swells with pride as she watches you.
Your teacher has to adjust everyone's positioning but not yours.
You're a little prodigy and Jenni's so proud of you.
You're still a little tired, still have a sore throat from the tube that had been stuck down it but you're powering through it. Jenni would have preferred you staying home with her but you had been adamant.
You've gotten that from Alexia.
Jenni's never seen that level of focus on anyone who wasn't a Putellas. She's even seen it on Alba on occasion. Putellas girls grab what they want and they don't let it go.
Jenni sneaks a glance at Alexia, whose eyes haven't strayed from your dancing.
She knows that if Alexia wants to keep you, if Alexia doesn't want to let Jenni raise you then she won't get you - even if she's the right choice. Even if Jenni puts everything into raising you, if Alexia wants to keep you then Jenni will never get you.
Even if Jenni begs and begs, Putellas girls don't let go of what they want.
If Alexia decides that she can give you a better life, if she clings and clings and clings then you'll never be in Jenni's arms again and she doesn't know if she can cope with that.
Her only hope is that Eli can talk sense into Alexia, that Eli can see that Jenni is the best choice for you, the best choice to support and shape you into who you're going to be as an adult.
They sit in silence for most of your session, only exchanging a few words before you're released to them.
You're panting from exertion and you look so drained. You raise your hands up when you get close to them and Alexia's the quickest one.
She picks you up and settles you on her hip with ease. It's been a long time since you've been so comfortable with that. You're not completely comfortable just yet but you relax more and more until you're like you used to be.
Jenni trails after the two of you.
"How was dance, Bambi?" She asks and you peak over Alexia's shoulder to beam at her.
"Good! Fun!"
"That's excellent!" Jenni says," Do your feet hurt?"
You give her a cheeky smile and nod. "Mama gives me foot massages when they hurt!" You say to Mami.
"That's-" Alexia gets cut off by a loud, familiar voice from across the street.
"No way!" The voice says," Is that my favourite ballerina? It looks like it is!"
"Mapi!" You kick a little bit for Alexia to put you down and she begins to lower you to the ground but Jenni plucks you straight from her.
Alexia's in a little bit of awe at the way Jenni so easily swaps your ballet pumps for your trainers with one hand. She does it so easily and so naturally that it leaves Alexia wondering if she'd practised this or if it came automatically.
Once your outside shoes are on, Jenni releases you.
Thankfully, Mapi (and Ingrid) have already crossed the street so you can get to them without getting hit by a car.
"Hi, Mapi!" You chirp as Mapi reaches around to untie your hair from its bun, leaving it to fall loose down your back.
"What?" Ingrid chuckles," No hi for me?"
You suddenly turn shy, rubbing the tip of your shoe in the ground as you refuse to make eye contact, cheeks going bright red. "Hi, Ingrid." You shuffle into her arms and Jenni laughs, patting Mapi on the back.
"Better watch out," Jenni says," Or Bambi might steal your girlfriend."
Mapi rolls her eyes. "Only if she's into women years older than her."
"Well, by the looks of her crush, she might."
Jenni's clearly teasing but it still sends a bolt of lightning down Alexia's spine. She can't imagine you finding a partner one day. She can't imagine what you would look for in a partner.
Someone your age, Alexia reckons. Maybe someone you met through ballet. Maybe someone that has no association with football. Probably someone from Barcelona.
She's not really sure she can imagine you with someone. She can imagine you on stage. She can imagine you dancing professionally. She can't imagine you dating anyone.
She can't imagine you dating someone and moving away. She can't imagine you moving away as an adult. She can't imagine you moving away now.
She knows that if she lets you go with Jenni then you're going to Mexico. She knows that you're leaving Spain.
Alexia also knows that she's a Putellas. She knows that a Putellas doesn't just roll over and take the punches. She knows that if she wants something (if she wants to keep you with her) then she'll have to hold it tightly and not let it go (let you go) no matter what someone else thinks or says.
You're a Putellas too.
You're not a Hermoso - at least not legally.
You have Alexia's hyper focus. You have Alexia's genes too.
That has to count for something.
You came from Alexia. You grew in Alexia's womb. Alexia endured hours of labour to have you.
That has to count for something, right?
Right?
Blood rushes through Alexia's ears as she looks down at you, at how shy you still look while you stare at Ingrid, the tips of your ears turning pink just like Alexia's do when she's feeling shy.
Jenni's time in Spain is running out every day but for everything of herself she can see in you, Alexia can still aspects of Jenni in you. From the way you giggle and the way you smile and the way you hug.
Everything that used to be Alexia, is slowly changing into Jenni and you seem none the wiser.
"Bambi," Alexia calls and you turn to look at her.
You seem a little confused at being spoken to so suddenly but you're still smiling. It doesn't dim in the slightest.
"We goin' home now, Mami?"
Jenni freezes, whatever she's been saying to Mapi stops in her throat. You haven't called Alexia's house 'home' since Jenni's been with you. You've only called Alba's place 'home'.
Jenni doesn't know what that means. She doesn't know if you mean Alexia's place or Alba's. She doesn't know if you know which one you mean either.
She hates that stupid smug look on Alexia's face.
A look that Alexia doesn't even know she's wearing. She beams from ear to ear at your words. She wants desperately to say yes, to bring you back into the little family that you're a firm part of, to bring you back home to your room full of trains.
But she keeps herself calm.
She knows that she can't just sweep you away like that.
She needs to remain calm.
"Not right now, Bambi," She says," Listen me and Jenni need to go and see your Abuela. Do you want to spend the rest of your day with Mapi and Ingrid?"
You look at Ingrid, cheeks still bright red as you nod. "Yes, please, Mami."
Jenni takes the reins after that, giving Mapi orders on how to look after you and how in an hour or so you have your midday nap and to make sure that you have somewhere soft and warm to rest your head. She lays off orders that even Alexia hasn't thought of like how you should have a glass of water with a hint of lemon because it always wakes you up after naptime and how they shouldn't touch you because you're a light sleeper and you really need the rest after your hospital stay.
You curl into Jenni's arms as she says goodbye to you. You go all limp and boneless and somewhere along the way, your little fist latches on the front of Alexia's shirt, pulling her into the hug too. Just like it was in the Before.
With Mapi rolling her eyes and Ingrid promising to take the best care of you, Alexia and Jenni are at Eli's house within the hour.
Alba is there too, an ever-present figure of disapproval as she leans against the doorframe. Everyone already knows Alba's vote on this matter.
Her position has never swayed and Alexia can't look her in the eyes.
Alba wants her sister out of your life. Permanently if she could help it but at least as your main caregiver if she couldn't get permanently.
She has never been swayed. She has never thought any different. She doesn't care if she has to fly to Mexico to see you. She doesn't care if you never step foot in Spain again.
Alba thinks that's a better alternative than having you with Alexia.
Jenni's position is clear too. She won't say it out loud but everyone knows her position. She wants you. She wants you like she needs air to breathe. She wants you with every cell in her body and she doesn't think Alexia and Olga's home is right for you. It's alright for you but it's not perfect and Jenni thinks she can make you the perfect home.
Alexia's vote is cast in her own favour too. She's acknowledged what she's done. She's fixing it. She's changing how she lives her life so it can be better suited to you and your schedule. She's proving to everyone that she can still be a mother to you. She's showing that she loves you just as much as she loves Jaume. She's making a family for herself, a family that you deserve to be a part of.
But everyone knows where the decision truly lies.
It lies with the woman sitting at the head of the table.
She is not a Putellas. She does not cling to what she wants and refuses to let it go.
Eli is a Segura. She looks at both sides. She weighs up have-beens and could-bes and makes her decisions on that. If she thinks something would do better out of her grip then she will let it go. She will let it thrive and grow away from her even if it means never seeing it again.
She looks at her daughter and then to the woman that could have been her daughter-in-law.
The debates had been going back and forth for hours now, words bouncing off the walls of her house as she sat there.
Alexia made her case.
Jennie made her case.
Alba threw in her own opinions.
Then, Eli spoke.
She spoke for a long while and everyone hung on her every word.
"I cannot force you to do what you do not want to, Ale," Eli says at the end," She is your daughter. You have all the rights to her. Her future is in your hands right now-"
"Mama!" Alba cuts in," You can't be serious?! We all know what Alexia will choose! You cannot let her do this!"
"I cannot force your sister to do anything," Eli says," She is an adult and she holds all of Bambi's rights. None of us can force her to do anything." Her eyes flick back to her eldest. "But think about this carefully, Alexia. Do not make this decision with your heart. Make it with your head. Do what is best for Bambi."
Eli's words come back to Alexia a few days later at the park.
You and Jenni have met her, Olga and Jaume there.
Jaume is now strong enough to hold his own head up and crawl around, exploring the world with his hands and mouth.
He sits on the grass with Olga settled on the picnic blanket. He's crawling around, playing on the slight incline and Olga lets him, keeping half an eye on him and the other on her book.
You and Jenni are in the playground, playing on the slide. You're getting stronger and stronger every day. Your throat and voice are no longer scratchy and you've been given the all-clear from the doctor.
You're holding the new train that Jenni got you to celebrate getting out of the hospital. The usual train store has closed down now but Jenni managed to find another one. It ended up just you and her. You weren't sure that you wanted Mami to come with you. You turn your head a little to look at her.
Alexia sits on a bench, equal distance away from both you and Jaume, able to swivel her head around to see both of you.
Jaume tries to stick a flower in his mouth that Olga promptly confiscates.
You erupt into a fit of giggles as Jenni tickles your tummy.
Jaume tugs his shoes off.
You duck under the climbing frame.
Jaume babbles and claps.
You shriek with laughter when Jenni catches up to you.
Then the bubble bursts and all of the convincing Alexia has done to herself bursts. Every time she tells herself that she can make this work. Every time she tells herself that the decision she has made is the right one.
It's all ruined now.
Jaume tumbles down the incline. It's not a far fall for an adult but it's enough to shock a scream and tears from him. Olga's by his side instantly.
You fall off the slide. You land as a little heap on the ground and it's not a far fall either but you still cry as Jenni picks you up.
Both of you are hysterical, sobbing your eyes out and looking close to a breakdown.
"Ale!"
"Alexia!"
Alexia stands.
She looks between both situations and emotions she's never felt before surge through her system.
Jaume, her little football player.
You, her little ballerina.
Alexia must have glanced between you both countless time in the two seconds it takes her to react.
Her feet move on their own accord, carrying her towards one of her children.
The decision she previously made has changed. Alexia knows that nothing will be the same anymore.
The decision, this time, is permanent.

part one part two
-
you were walking onto the pitch, a few paces behind alexia and jenni when someone jumped on your back. you yelped and stumbled forward, gracefully falling face first onto the grass. the only people who reacted were the younger girls—who weren’t yet used to your clumsiness—and ingrid—who was quick to yank mapi off you and hold out her hand.
she helped you up and you quickly kicked mapi’s ankle before running away from her, laughter falling from your lips as she gave chase. she eventually caught you and wrapped her arms around your waist, swinging you around as ingrid walked over.
“maría please put her down, we have camps soon and i don’t want her to go back to england injured.”
mapi rolled her eyes and lowered you to the ground but her grip never relented. “oh how will we survive without you for months? how will jenni and alexia?”
you squirmed in her grip, not liking the thoughts her words put in your head. she let you go and you scampered off to stand nearer pina and patri but far enough away that you could get lost in your head without interruption.
a frown unconsciously appeared on your face. you worked out the dates in your head and felt your shoulders sag. after flying to england with lucy and keira, it could be two months before you’d see your girlfriends in person again—depending on how well england and spain did in the tournament. and they’d see each other everyday.
what would that mean for your relationship? what if the time they’d have alone made them realise that they preferred their relationship the way it was before you came along?
part of you knew that you were being silly but it was an insecurity you’d been secretly harbouring since the beginning of your relationship, always worrying that one day they’d wake up and decide that it was too crowded.
would you even have girlfriends when you got back from england?
a soft slap to the back of your head brought you back to earth and you looked up to see a slightly concerned alexia already looking down at you. “estás bien?”
“yes,” you nodded, clearing your throat and giving her a small smile. “fine.”
it was clear that she didn’t believe you but she didn’t push. and when the first paired activity of training finally came around, you watched jenni and alexia pair up. with a quiet sigh, you made your way over to leila, thankful that she didn’t already have a partner.
when the second paired activity was called out, you were surprised to see alexia head over to mapi. with a quick glance at jenni, you took the opportunity to jump onto ingrid, missing the way jenni frowned.
“you okay?” ingrid asked you, having noticed your subdued behaviour since your interaction with mapi.
“i’m good.”
you knew that ingrid would have a good inkling as to how you were feeling, she went through it with mapi but it wasn’t the same really. they only had each other. there was no third party to worry about in their relationship.
so you didn’t confide in her like you wanted to. instead you decided to grin and bear it for the rest of the training session.
your girlfriends knew something was wrong with you with the way you avoided their gazes and ducked away when one of them began approaching. but you were great at avoiding people. and you had successfully managed to avoid your girlfriends until jenni caught you—literally.
“amorcito, where are you going?” she asked, the grip around your waist tightening as you tried to wriggle out.
“uh, home.”
“without us?”
you wriggled again. “i’m going out with pina and patri, need’ta go home and get ready.”
technically you weren’t lying. the pair had invited you out, you just hadn’t officially accepted yet, throwing a maybe in their direction when they first asked just before training started.
jenni’s grip loosened and normally you would’ve asked her what was wrong but you took advantage of the opportunity and bolted, throwing yourself onto an unsuspecting patri as you disappeared around the corner.
“i told you,” alexia sang out as jenni turned to look at her. “she is avoiding us, she is not going to tell you anything.”
a rushed hiss caught their attention and they saw ingrid pushing a terrified looking mapi forward. “i think it might be my fault.”
“ay dios mío, what did you do?”
ᡣ𐭩
you entered the apartment later that night, immediately hearing noise from the tv. you kicked off your heels and made your way towards the living room. your body froze as you saw alexia and jenni cuddled up on the sofa.
you were torn.
on the one hand—after a few drinks—all you had been thinking about most of the night was going home to your girlfriends but seeing them like that brought the feelings from training back and you found yourself not knowing what to do.
“hola, amor,” alexia said as you finally walked in. she turned to look at you, resting her chin on jenni’s shoulder. “how was dinner?”
“it was good,” you smiled slightly. “but i’m really tired so i’m gonna go to bed. enjoy the movie.”
with that, you scampered into the bedroom and away from the curious eyes of your girlfriends. you took off your makeup and slipped into a random hoodie you found, quickly dropping onto the bed.
you weren’t lying to alexia. you were tired. but you’d much rather have been cuddled up between your girlfriends than laying in bed alone.
when alexia entered the bedroom, she was genuinely surprised to find you curled up, fast asleep. she frowned and sat next to you, placing her hand on your forehead. you had just come back from an evening with pina and patri. usually that left you full of energy and your girlfriends would have the relentless task of wrangling you into bed so for you to willingly be doing the complete opposite was a bit worrying.
“well you are not sick,” she sighed, brushing her hand over your hair. you squirmed a little, eyes fluttering open. “hola mi vida.”
your face scrunched up and you murmured something unintelligible, reaching up to move her hand onto your face.
“bebita, i need you to stay awake, we need to talk,” she pulled herself away, ignoring your whine and the way you reached for her again. she watched the frown form on your face but you quickly turned away. “bebé, we talked to mapi. we know what she said. why did it make you so sad?”
it was a simple question. had you not been tired and a little tipsy, you would’ve brushed her off and gone back to sleep. but your feelings weren’t simple and you were crying before you could stop yourself.
alexia was quick to pull you up, holding you tight against her chest as your body trembled. she rocked you from side to side, rubbing your back soothingly until your sobs turned into shaky breaths.
“don’t want you to leave me ale.” you whispered, fisting her hoodie in your hands.
“it is not for long,” she whispered back. “we will be together—“
“no, no. leave leave! i don’t want you to leave me.”
before alexia could respond, you were swiftly pulled into jenni’s arms as she placed herself onto the bed. “mi amor why would we leave you?”
“because you were together before me and you’re going to be together all the time at camp, i don’t want you to realise that you love each other more than you love me. i’m going to be alone and you’ll have each other just like before. what if—what if you get used to it again and you don’t want me here anymore?”
neither jenni or alexia could remember the last time they’d seen you look so small and vulnerable. maybe it was your first time at the barcelona training grounds where you’d glued yourself to keira and lucy. maybe it was at the most recent champions league final where you shoved your silver medal into jenni’s bag so you wouldn’t have to look at it anymore.
“cariño that would never happen,” alexia brought her hand up to push your hair away from your face. “we love you too much for that to happen.”
you sniffled, looking between them. “promise?”
“nosotras prometemos.”
whilst you still weren’t completely convinced, there was still a warm feeling in your heart and when jenni laid you down and you ended up in your favourite place—tangled between them—you knew that you’d be alright.

Billy semi-hated his sisters new punk boyfriend. There was just the cocky attitude about him that he didn’t care for not to mention that he was only 5’10 and his sister’s boyfriend Luke was 6’4, always towering over him. The only thing Billy was drawn to was the 19 year old’s size 12’s and his foot smell. Every time Luke took his shoes off, the smell would fill the room. His sister had complained a couple times on it but Luke didn’t seem to take notice or change his behavior.  The three of them were in the den area with Jenny, Billy’s sister, coming in and out of the room to help their mom in the kitchen. Billy was originally on the couch watching some movie when Luke came in and sat down opposite of him. He had slipped off his shoes and after a short while, after Jen had exited the room, lifted his big bare feet up, and plopped them in his lap.  Billy could already smell them after the shoe were slipped off but it was now more apparent as they were right under his nose. Luke lifted one foot up, pushed it against Billy’s chest some, and said,”Hey, my feet are kinda tired. I need a foot massage.” The smell already getting him exited but he couldn’t blow his cover, responded,” Hell no, I’m not rubbing your rank feet.”  Luke grinned, easily lifting one foot up, and pressing it against Billy’s face. Billy watched the hulking foot press against his nose, pushing him back into the armrest as he heard Luke sarcastically say,”Awe, you mean this foot? Guess you want me to rub them in your face then since you don’t want to give them a massage.” Billy pushed the huge foot away but Luke quickly brought it back, lifting his other one up, pressing both against his face. Billy felt the pressure and his nose rub against the soles as his view was engulfed. He breathed in the baked foot smell of the HS senior as he felt the bare soles rub over his face. Billy grunted out and Luke responded,”How do my feet smell?” Billy managed to pull one of them down and croaked out,”Fucking stink.” He then saw his sister come back into the room and grab a chair. Billy tried to put up more of a fight against the huge feet as Luke wasn’t letting up. She looked over at Luke had said half teasing,”You know your feet stink and you’re going to make him sick right.”  He responded,”Hey, he didn’t want to give me a foot massage so he opted for this instead.”  Billy wrestled with them for several more minutes and managed to keep his feet down in his lap just as their mom popped her head in asking for Jenn to help her with their neighbor next door. Jenn looked over at Luke and said,”Give me like 15 or 20 min then we can go.”  She got up and followed her mom out as Billy slightly relaxed. Luke turned his attention back to him, quickly shoved his 12’s back into his face, and said,”Keep smelling.” The soles consumed his entire face, covering him in foot odor as he lay there letting the bottoms rub against his nose. Billy inhaled as Luke rubbed his toes against his nostrils. ”Yah, fucking like that don’t you? Like my foot smell all in your face.” Billy got momentarily scared and tried pushing one foot away, stammering,”I don’t…” Luke quieted him up by covering his face again. “Shut up. Anyone would have bolted from the couch by now but you’re just staying there taking it. You’re loving this.”  Luke rubbed his bare feet into Billy’s face more persistently waiting for confirmation. When he didn’t get one, he squeezed Billy’s nose with his toes, and asked again. “Yes,” Billy reluctantly answered. Luke laughed at him and moved one set of toes down, slightly pushing them against Billy’s mouth. “Lick.” He licked between the punks toes, tasting the saltiness of them. Luke continued teasing him for several more minutes till he ordered him to put his shoes on. As Billy did, Luke said,”Looks like I got myself a new slave.” Luke stood up and looked down at him and ordered,”Get down and kiss my feet good bye.”  Billy knelt down, replying ‘yes master’ , and gave each shoe a few kisses. “Good slave boy. You’ll be worshipping them again soon.”

“You look like me”
Jenni Hermoso x Caroline Graham Hansen (Child reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: This was shit, I might redo this later. Also Jenni never left Barca. This is a series. Spanish is always google translate. No triggers.
Summary: You and Caro go on an adventure. You cross paths with an older lady, and your two mama’s are taking steps in their relationship.
Mami was desperately trying to get you ready for the day, but you couldn’t sit still. You were bouncing off the walls with excitement as you waited for Caroline. Caroline had promised you to take you to the toy store and the local ice cream shop without mami, and you were beyond excited. It was almost like the things Mami and Caroline did! “Princesa, you have to try to sit still” Mami sighted as she tried to brush your long hair for the 10th time. “Lo siento, Mami, I’m just happy” you sang as your little legs dangled from the chair that Mami had placed in the bathroom for you to sit on. Your hands touched the skirt of your dress, it was pink, glittery and had sequins; all the things that together made the recipe of a very happy little girl. “And done! What do you think, amor?” Mami said as she held your hands to stand up infront of the mirror. Your jaw dropped and your eyes widened. “Wow! Mami! Es fantástico!” You said as your touched your little half updo with the pink elastics. “Es perfecta” you say as your eyes is entranced in your reflection. “You are my favourite girl in the world, amor, mami loves you so so much” Mami said as she picked you up and held you tight to her chest. She would do that from time to time, holding you close for a little while without saying a word. This had happened for the first time the morning she had woken up to your screams as a new born, her wife nowhere to be seen only to pick you up as she found a note downstairs saying family life wasn’t for her wife. That was when she stopped caring about girls and drinks and parties; life was only about her little girl now. Her world withing her hands.
You breathed in mami’s familiar scent and listened to her heart beat only to be disrupted by the sound of someone entering downstairs. “Jenni, Lillevenn! I’m here!” She called as you shot your head up to look at Mami. “Mami, Mami! Es Caroline!” You said as you wiggled loose and bolted towards the hall and the stairway. You giggled as you ran, your hair flying in the wind and your giggles roaming around the hall. “Mamma, mamma!” You yelled as you jumped down the stairs and straight into Caroline’s arms. The words mamma meant so much to her. She didn’t ever imagine wanting kids, but when she met Jenni; she had fallen in love with both her and you. Mami just didn’t know it yet. Caroline had helped raise you, and it felt natural and completely platonic to call her mamma. That was what she called someone in norway that would read her bedtime stories, take her to football and give her kisses, and that had to be a good thing. You jumped into Caroline’s arms and looked up at her. “I’m excited” you said with a shyness in your voice. “Well, I am excited to spend time with my favourite girl in the whole world!” Caroline exclaimed while stroking your hair gently as she smiled down to you. “Let’s go to the car, si?” Caroline said as you took her head and walked out, Mami following close behind. “I’m just gonna take out her car seat, it’s pretty eas-“ mami begun as she unlocked your big suv Lexus. “No need” Caroline said as she opened up the backseat door to her car. “Caroline, she needs a carse-“ Mami said as she shook her head slightly scared. “Wow! A seat! For me? Pink mami, it’s pink” you squealed as you looked at the car seat in the back of Caroline’s car and jumped up into it. “I love it mami!” You said as you slipped into it and giggled. “A special seat for a special girl” Caroline said as she smirked and looked at Jenni. “Caroline, you are absolutely spoiling her. You didn’t have too! I could get one for your car” Mami said as she crossed her arms and looked at Caroline. Caroline was busy buckling you in, and when the belt snapped together like it was supposed to; she turned around to look at Mami. “I’m in this for the long haul”
—-
“And here we are lille prinsesse, are you ready?» Caroline said as you pulled up to the toy store. It was huge. It had pretty lights and so many colors. You could see huge toy sculptures in the front of the store. It looked magical. It was fantastic! “Yes mamma! It has pretty lights” you said as you beamed in the car seat. Caroline smiled while looking at you in the rear view mirror and unbuckled herself before getting out and helping you out. She loosened the buckle and reached for your hand as you jumped down, your little sandals with blinkers going crazy. You walked together towards the store, which was huge in comparison to your 3,5 year old frame. Your hand grabbed Caroline’s extra tight when you entered through the entrance, and she looked down on you comfortably. “Carry me?” You said as you bit your lip, a bit overstimulated with the whole situation. Just like a mother would, Caroline immediately picked you up and placed you on her hip. When she held you, nothing felt scary anymore. It was safe. Warm. And familiar.
“Wow, look at mirabell!” You squealed as you saw mirabell from Encanto. Caroline smiled and looked at the direction you were pointing towards. Together you walked through endless oceans of bouncy balls, Barbies, baby born, cars, swords, game and little houses with little people in. As she walked around carrying you tightly, scared to death of losing the most important thing in her life; your eyes caught a familiar doll. “Mamma, mamma! It’s Elsa and Anna! From Arendelle!” You shouted as you wiggled down from her grip and bolted towards the big isle of toys. “Woah” you said as your eyes were sparkling while looking up at all the boxes. “Is this what you want prinsesse?» she said as she looked at the big selection of toys. You nodded as you were still in awe. “Can I have the set? With Elsa and Anna and Sven and Olaf and Kristoff” you asked as you were staring at the big box of figurines. “Of course, you can get anything you want skatt» she said reassuringly. She reached for the box that was high up on a shelf before you headed towards the exit to pay. She carried you out to the car, and got you all buckled in; safe and sound before heading towards the ice cream shop.
You were skipping next to her when she pointed to the ice cream shop. “Look lillevenn, there it is!” She said as she looked down on you. You giggled and jumped with joy as you pulled her along as fast as you could possibly move. The bell of the door rang when you entered the shop. It was bright and colorful with sprinkles on the walls. It had nice happy music and the smell was magical. It smelled like a strawberry soft serve with strawberry sauce and fresh cut strawberry. Your feet felt energised as you looked over all the flavours in the display. Caroline picked you up so you could see the ice cream. “Strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, banana, orange..Bubblebum!” You say as you point to each flavor. “You are so so smart prinsesse, you impress me every day. Now, do you know what flavour you want?” She said as she looks at you with awe. “Yes, mamma, si! I do know!” You squeal as you are being called to the front desk to order. “Hola princesa! Qué te gustaría pedir?” The older woman says making you giggle. Mami has made sure to speak both Spanish and English, just in case you were to move abroad making the transition easier. “Por favor, ¿puedo tomar helado de fresa?” You say as you smile towards the woman while pointing towards the pink mixture still safe on Caroline’s hip. “Por supuesto! quiere algo señora?» the woman says as her hand is scribbling quick. “helado de chocolate por favor” Caroline responds as the lady gestures for Caroline to pay and she taps her debitcard on the machine.
“Mamma, I love strawberry ice cream, thank you so so much!” You squeal as you dip your spoon into the pink ice cream happy as ever. "Taste mamma!" you say as you shove the spoon into Caroline's face who willingly leta you. "mmmm, it's very good skqtt" she says as she carefully wipes your face on the napkin. “Taste? Pleeeeease” you say as you give her your best puppy eyes. Caroline laughs as she strokes your cheek before offering you a taste of her chocolate ice cream. “Mmm, mamma, gracias, it’s yummy” you say as you lick your lips. An older mysterious woman drops her bag forcing all her coins to fall out of her grip. Your eyes widen as you let out a shocked sound before you wiggle down and start picking up all the coins. You look over at the woman as you hand her the coins and she smiles warmly to you. “Thank you princesa” she says as she touches your hand. Caroline instinctively has a hand on your shoulder and decides to pick you up feeling like you are safest on her hip. “Are you her mom? You look so alike. You have raised a very empathetic young woman.” She says just as she walks out of the shop with her bag. You look up at Caroline who kisses your head. “Let’s go home to mami.”
As you pull up to the driveway, you hold your newest addition to your toy collection close to your chest. Then you can see Jenni come out of the house waving at the car. She’s just standing in her slippers which you find silly so you let out a giggle. Mami opens up the door of your side of the car. “Princesa! I have missed you so much! How was your adventure?” She asks as she unbuckles you while you hold the box in her face. “Mami, Caroline gave me Elsa and Anna and Sven and Olaf and kristoff! From frozen” you say as you squeal. “Wow, aren’t you so lucky?” Mami said as she picks you up and holds you close. The familiarity of mami’s heartbeat and warmth is enough to make you feel so sleepy. You yawn as you lean towards her, taking in the familiar comforting scent that you love so much. At night when you were to sleep in your own bed, you would make sure to have mami’s shirt with you so you could feel comforted if you woke up in the middle of the night. “Are you tired, amor?” Mami says as you nod. Mami carries you inside and Caroline follows quickly behind. “I’m just gonna put her down for a nap, Caz. Feel like home” Jenni says as Caroline nods and puts down her jacket on the counter. Mami starts to walk up the stairs as you say “mamma also put me to bed”. Jenni looks at Caroline and gestures for her to join. Eventually, Mami sits at the edge of your bed while Caroline sits at the little lounge chair next to your bed. “Me look like mamma” you say as you yawn again while mr.sleep is knocking on your eyelids. Caroline blushes as Jenni smiles “Do you think you look like Mamma?” You nod as you close your eyes and pull your polar bear close. “She does, dosent she?” Jenni says as she tucks your hair behind your ear. “I don’t know, she looks like you” Caroline says as she tries to move to conversation forwards. “No, Caz. She does look like you. I can tell that she loves you like she loves me. And I know that you love her as your own.” Jenni continues as she tucks you in with your favourite pink fuzzy blanket. You suddenly say “we a family; mami, mamma and me.” As you drift further and further away from the situation while imagining Olaf eating big strawberries in Arendelle where Mamma is from. Jenni and Caroline stands close in your doorway as the shadow of their frames are standing close together. “I would love to be a family” Mami says as you drift complete off.

Summary:
The Dead Boy Detectives run into a familiar pub while out on a case, and Crystal has to contend with an unfortunate event from her past.
Hob Gadling wasn't planning on adopting three teenagers and a full grown woman, but stranger things have happened in his long centuries of life.
Read here on Tumblr, or over on AO3
dedicated to @softest-punk for making me emotional about Hob adopting the kids in DBD 💖
----------------
“In here!” Edwin shouts, gesturing frantically at the entrance to a pub that looks vaguely familiar to Crystal. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have much time to wonder before the banshee chasing them lets out a blood curdling scream. Crystal rushes in with Charles right behind her, pushing the door and slamming it shut behind her. Thankfully the pub seems to be completely empty except for one man.
A man who looked extremely pissed off to see them.
“Oh bloody hell, fuck no, not you, out!” the older man shouts, moving out from behind the bar and looking ready to chase them out by force if necessary. Crystal braces herself, glancing around frantically for some sort of back door that she can bolt to if necessary. She’s pretty sure she can outrun him.
Charles and Edwin however, are a different story.
“Hob, it’s us!” Charles exclaims, throwing up his hands in an attempt to show no harm.
“We’re sorry for bringing a ghost to your door, Mr Gadling,” Edwin adds. “If you’ll just let me borrow one of your books to get rid of this banshee, we’ll be out of your hair.”
“Not you two, her,” the man, Hob (what the hell kind of name was that?) growls, pointing at Crystal accusingly. Edwin and Charles turn to her in shock, and Crystal is about to protest that she has no idea what this man is on about, but then the memory of how she knows Hob Gadling comes flooding back to her.
The pub they’d run into was The New Inn and Crystal had almost burned it down last year because some girl she hated at school had come here for her 18th birthday. With all of Crystal’s friends, sans Crystal. Ex-friends now, since Crystal had tried to burn the place down with the whole party still inside. Hob had, unsurprisingly, pressed charges, and it took a lot of money from her parents to make everything go away.
“I’m sorry!” Crystal yells, just as the banshee screeches and slams its body against the door behind them. It lights up an iridescent blue, a warding against ghosts. Of course Crystal had to go and fuck up the one supernatural relationship she had because she was an idiot asshole last year.
“I know this isn’t a great time, but I’m kind of a different person now?” Crystal says, having no idea how to even begin to explain the weird circumstances of the last month. “I swear what my past self did isn't who I am now,” she adds, also raising her hands to show she means no harm.
“She’s part of the Dead Boy Detectives Agency, mate,” Charles interjects, while Edwin nods furiously in agreement. “Please don’t throw her out!”
The banshee lets out another screech and slams itself against the door, rattling the frame so hard that Crystal’s afraid it might fly off the hinges at any moment. Whatever ward Hob had placed, it wasn’t going to hold out for that much longer.
“What the hell is going on?!” a familiar voice cries out, and then Jenny Green of all people is coming out of what Crystal assumes is the kitchen. She’s also brandishing a butcher knife, because why would any of that change now that she lives across the pond?
“Jenny?!” Charles and Edwin yell.
“Oh fuck,” the older woman curses, glancing back and forth between the three of them and Hob. Crystal really hopes they haven’t just gotten Jenny fired. Finding a job had been tough enough for her when they'd relocated, and she had refused any help financially from Crystal.
“You know them?!” Hob asks, shock clear in his voice.
“It’s a long story,” Jenny grumbles, then screams when the banshee throws itself against the door again. “What the fuck, why did you lead a ghost here? ”
The door rattles and creaks, and the ward around the pub shimmers and vibrates angrily, which seems to finally prompt Hob to action. He straightens his back, rubs a hand over his face, and then takes one, two, three deep breaths before he looks them all over appraisingly.
“Jenny, get the salt from the back,” Hob orders, gesturing her back to the kitchen. “The iron knives should be on the shelf next to them. Edwin, you know where the tomes are,” he adds pointing upwards, likely towards a room on the second floor of the pub. Jenny and Edwin nod quietly before disappearing to their designated posts, leaving Crystal and Charles alone with Hob.
“Right, so since when have the Dead Boys gotten themselves involved with trust fund brats?” Hob asks, still eyeing Crystal warily as if he expects her to pull out a lighter at any moment.
“Since this trust fund brat got possessed by a demon and got her memories stolen,” Crystal answers, wincing when she realizes how harsh that sounds. “Sorry. I just recently got them back and it's been a weird time. I really am sorry though. For like, nearly burning this place to the ground cause I was mad.”
“You did what? ” Charles cries out, his mouth agape. “Please tell me that was all David’s doing.”
Crystal scrunches up her face and then shakes her head. “I wish it was, but no. Just plain old shitty Crystal,” she answers truthfully.
Hob looks between the two of them, then sighs, his expression softening.
“Look, clearly you’ve done some soul searching and I am the last person who should be allowed to hold a grudge against someone who’s done some bad things,” he says, then gestures to Charles. “If the boys vouch for you, then I’m willing to bury the hatchet. All right, Ms Von-Hovercraft?”
“Please just call me Crystal,” Crystal pleads. She really hated being referred to by her surname. It still felt weird and foreign to her, after everything she had gone through. Hob huffs, and this time when he looks at her, there isn’t a shred of contempt in his expression.
“Yeah okay. Crystal,” he says warmly. “You can call me Hob.”
Crystal wants to ask where the hell the name Hob comes from, because she’s pretty sure she remembers his name being Richard , but before she can say anything, Edwin and Jenny come back and Hob turns his full attention to taking care of the banshee that’s trying to get past the wards he has around the entire pub.
“You’re lucky Tuesday’s a slow night,” Hob says, before he starts flipping through the tome. “Jenny, Crystal, make a salt circle by the tables over there,” he adds, pointing to his left. “You’re going to need to lead her there so we can trap her.”
Crystal and Jenny make as large of a circle as they can, pouring generous amounts of salt into the floor. When they’re done, Hob instructs them to the front of the pub, where the door is still rattling and glowing angrily. Edwin and Charles are standing next to Hob, Charles with his cricket bat out, and Edwin and Hob ready to chant the spell within the tome.
“When I count to three, open the door and run like hell into the salt circle,” Hob tells them. “One, two, THREE!”
Crystal throws open the door and both she and Jenny cover their ears as they run towards the salt circle. The banshee’s cries are even louder now that she’s inside the pub, but their plan works. She follows them straight into the circle, then screeches again in anger once she realizes she cannot follow them out. Her long hands try to grab for Jenny’s apron, but Charles materializes right at the circle’s edge to bat her hand away.
Hob and Edwin start chanting some spell in what Crystal assumes is Latin, and the banshee screeches at an even louder volume than before. The salt circle alights a bright gold, and Crystal and Jenny are practically thrown backwards by the force of the magic taking effect.
The banshee lets out one more high pitched scream, and then her dark grey dress suddenly becomes stark white, dark and wet black hair paling slowly to a soft light brown. When the banshee lifts her face, her eyes are no longer sunken and black, but wide and bright green.
She’s beautiful, now that she’s no longer in pain.
The Night Nurse shows up shortly afterwards, collecting the woman and gently reassuring her that she’s going to a better place. She looks at Hob like she’s offended by his very existence, which the man takes in stride and cheerfully waves her off, telling her to say hello to her boss for him.
“Right then,” Hob says after the banshee and the Night Nurse have left. “Now that that’s taken care of, care to explain to me what the bloody hell is the connection with you lot?”
