Kandreil actually exists in a very interesting area for me where I ship it in the sense that I will seek out, read, and enjoy fic for it, and I certainly support the version of it we get in Nora’s old drafts, but if it had actually happened in the canon that we have in the published All For the Game books, I don’t think I would’ve liked it 😅. But in short, yes, I ship it

What made you ship it?

All the amazing fic people write for the ship. Like seriously the quality of Kandreil fic in this fandom is insane. I kept reading Kandreil fics on a whim and I kept loving them, but it wasn’t until I read your fic with @dayurno if i die young that I gave in and accepted that I ship it 😂

What are your favorite things about the ship?

It’s the idea of each of them as a focal point uniting the other two that gets me. Kevin’s belief in both Andrew and Neil giving each of them strength to “stay” (Andrew and his deal that Kevin will find something that will give meaning to his life and Kevin’s belief in Neil being the thing that convinces him to join the Foxes and play exy). Andrew acting as an anchor for both Neil and Kevin against the mafia. And Neil as a source of hope for both Kevin and Andrew (Neil being the one to truly give Kevin the strength to stand up against the Ravens and Neil being what for Andrew fulfills Kevin’s part of their deal).

Did any of that make sense? My point is I very much enjoy how, platonic or not, you can’t deny that all three of them are extremely important to each other and their relationships with each other are life-changing in some way

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

The part of Kandreil I struggle with is the romantic Kevin/Neil part, so my favorite kind of Kandreil dynamic is Neil and Kevin sharing Andrew as a boyfriend. And I guess also what I said in the beginning about how I don’t think I would’ve liked Kandreil if it had occurred in the version of canon that is the published All For the Game books 😂
