cry over some shows that have been canceled (one day at a time in particular at the moment)
pick myself up and find bluey content!! omg i love that show so much and i am nearly done with the eps on disney plus but i definitely want to see what people post about on here
we might be going back to skam colorado… now that i’m older and wiser and can hopefully produce something i won’t cringe at years down the line (me now) but all jokes i do really love my characters and want to do them justice so
maybe watch some more skam again? i heard something about fucking season 10 of skam france?? please let that one go omg
and then just some more niche things like twoset - things like that post about their eras concert, maybe i could do their 3 mil one to give me an excuse to watch it again
and if anyone has some shows that are becoming popular on here let me know! i need something to fill the am/jatp hole in my heart lol
hope everyone is doing very well <3

Jamie Johnson FC
Judging by the Iplayer description of series 7: 'One last shot at glory'. I knew much earlier on that the seventh series would be the final series but what I never knew is that there was going to be a spin off and the promo I got see after the ending of the seventh literally took me by surprise.
It explains why when people were asking on the official social media accounts of the programme as to whether there would be another series or if series 7 was going to be the final series of the programme, the official accounts replied with the exact same response to almost every single person who asked: 'Watch this space'.
The fact that the spin off is immediately expected to first air next year not even having a break of a few years to do it, seems to astound me alone.
The spin off seems to be very different from the original programme, now having been set in a 'world of elite academy football' compared the original show Jamie Johnson in which series 1-3 focused on Kingsmount, the school football team and series 4-7 focused on the 'fresh from the start' Phoenix club.
Jamie Johnson is of course expected to be in the spin off after all, we see just a glimpse of him possibly doing a medical test on the promo but whether he'll be able to appear in the spin off constantly or he'll only be able to appear in the show as a minor character, having a dramatically reduced role, popping occasionally from time to time is completely unknown for now.
But what about everyone else?
Are the U15s players completely gone now or will any of them even be seen in the spin off?
Same thoughts for the U13s players.
I mean what's going to happen to Phoenix itself?
What's going to happen to Jake? After all he and Jamie have just accepted each other in the finale and it'll be a shame if he's not in the spin off.
The reactions of the spin off don't seem to be good either with most people commenting saying they'll rather want a series 8 of Jamie Johnson rather than a spin off instead and most people simply not liking the spin off judging by the promo alone.
Will this spin off be just as good as Jamie Johnson even spawning another six series...who knows? Or will it just flop miserably at its first shot....who knows?
Only time will tell.

Jamie Johnson Season 7 Episode 1 Review
Jamie Johnson is Back, which means this tumblr is back. At some point I’ll actually try to be active in the off-season too 😅 And finally do that promised Dillon analysis post after years (I’ve been busy).
I remember either before season 5, or, we’ll, at least before season 5 episode 8 (the episode that focused on Dillon being gay) came out, I had rewatched the whole series beforehand, and this time, I’m kind of glad I didn’t. Not because it wouldn’t have been great, but because I had come in and I had forgotten just how good Jamie Johnson was. I really shouldn’t have forgottten, I started a whole blog for it, but it meant I got to be really pleasantly surprised by the episode.
Because this episode was amazing. Ironically, a lot of Jamie Johnson’s best episodes are the ones that don’t have a focus on football (season 5 episode 8). You’ve still got the greats that do focus on a match, like the season 3 finale where Jamie chose Phoenix over Foxborough (I’m a sucker a story of people choosing a small “worse” thing where their friends are over a big “better” place).
And actually, this episode reminds me a lot of season 5 episode 8. Just like that episode, the previous episode ended on a massive bombshell (Dillon coming out to Elliot in season 5 episode 7 and Jake being revealed to be Jamie’s brother in season 6 episode 13). And just like season 5 episode 8, the focus is tight. You see it in other shows like Steven Universe, but this episode basically only had one plot: The aftermath of Jake and Jamie finding out they’re brothers. You’ve got the other characters too, but pretty much every conversation and scene leads back to the core plot. There’s no B-plot, there’ just figuring out what happens next. And the episode is so good for it.
I’ve never found out I had a secret brother, but even then Jamie and Jake’s reactions felt so real. From Jamie being protective over Jake to being mad because Jake reminds him of his dad, and then the most brilliant thing was how quickly Jamie got over it. Because obviously he did, it wasn’t anger at Jake, it was anger at his dad, so it only took a short conversation with Boggy to make him realise he was an idiot. It shows how much Jamie’s grown as well. He’s still the same hot-headed kid from season 1, but he’s also got the emotional maturity that he gained from realising he was an idiot during season 5.
And then Jamie volunteering to be assistant coach just so he could spend time with Jake was too wholesome. Everything. And Mike being so amazing, and I can’t wait for him to find out Jake is kind of his grandson.
And Jake’s reaction was great too. Tragic, and great.
“You will come back, won’t you?” The poor kid’s got so much trauma from his dad leaving him, and it was such a small line, but it still showed he hadn’t forgotten yet. Of course he was mad at Jamie. He forgave him for missing the training so quickly, but then Jamie basically told him he didn’t care about him, and his heart shattered. I mean, you could even tell at the beginning the difference in the two’s mindset. Jake asked if Jamie was his brother, while Jamie called Jake his half-brother. To Jake, it makes no difference who their mums are, they are brothers, but to Jamie, Jake is a product of the worst part of his family: His dad.
But you know what? I think that Jake has every right to be mad at Jamie. He loves Jamie so much, but Jamie just basically destroyed him emotionally, and he basically got abandoned by his dad and his brother on the same day. I do hope that Jake forgives Jamie soon, but I wouldn’t hold it against him if he made it difficult for Jamie.
But their dad. Man, he’s a piece of work. He uses the same manipulation tactics on Jake as he did Jamie. It’s been some time, but I’m pretty sure Jamie’s dad used that exact line on Jamie. “It’s your mum, you know what’s she’s like”. Man, you think he’s changed.
Also, I haven’t watched episode 2 yet, but what’s everyone’s thoughts on if the Bex Liam relationship is real or an act? I genuinely think it’s real and Liam won’t be gunning for captain. Mainly because it’s just really wholesome to see Liam act like such a dork. And I don’t want that to be fake. And also since every time he does something stupid and bad, he ends up hating himself. After he outed Dillon, what he did was terrible, but Liam regretted it straight away. Then after he was a complete idiot and joined the other team last season. I just want him to make the right choices for once.
So yeah, I’m excited for episode 2, I’ll try to get the review up before Wednesday.
Conclusion: Amazing episode

The Dance
By Jamie Johnson The words square dance around in my head, unfixed, and unable to tumble down my tongue with ease. I try to talk but only stutter; the weight of those words; the allemandes and do si dos keep it stuck. Then you appear and the frequency in my brain calms; no more, swing your partner. You grab my hand, and whisper in my ear, “I love you.” And without hesitation I return the…
