It's all gone! Her childhood innocence, the city she grew up in, all the people... And you can't convince me that she doesn't have moments when she misses her past life terribly.

I have so many headcanons about Atlantis, about Natla's life, I have Atlantean OCs and their numbers still sometimes grow. I just have so many feels about this whole damn thing! (And yes I already have some fanfics but I should write more to show off more of my headcanons... ah well, eventually.)

On the 25th of October, twenty six years ago, Tomb Raider was released in Europe for the Sega Saturn.

The game follows archaeologist-adventurer Lara Croft, who is hired by businesswoman Jacqueline Natla to find an artefact called the Scion of Atlantis. Gameplay features Lara navigating levels split into multiple areas and room complexes while fighting enemies and solving puzzles to progress.

The character of Lara was based on several influences, including Tank Girl, Indiana Jones and Hard Boiled. The 3D grid-based level design, innovative for its time, was inspired by the structure of Egyptian tombs. The music took inspiration from English classical music. Originally announced in 1995, the title went on to receive extensive press attention and heavy promotion.

Reception of the game was very positive, with praise for its innovative 3D graphics, controls, and gameplay, and it went on to win several industry awards. Lara Croft herself became a cultural icon, rising to prominence as one of gaming's most recognisable characters.

Update on current projects/Schedule for the rest of 2022

I thought about doing something like this for a while so here it is. I have no overview over who follows me for what reason but I assume most of my followers (much like my ao3 user subs) are in it for the Naruto stuff so this will probably clear up once and for all that I don't do that anymore.

There are no dates for any of these because I write when I can/want and have no actual schedule whatsoever BUT the order in which they're listed will most likely be the order in which they're posted, so there's that.

begin again - a 'The Other Woman' style Warcraft Tyrande/f!OC-centric collection of short scenes exploring the consequences of Malfurion's 10k years slumber, ft. some of lore/worldbuilding from my dormant Highborne project

Garden of Eden - the second and final chapter

Divine Anthology (working title) Part I: Persephone (til the fall) - a series of short stories set during modern times focusing on select Greek goddesses and their relationship with a different (female) mortal each. Only one gets explicitly sexual and it's not the most obvious one of the lot.

The Origin of Lara - a Tomb Raider Lara Croft/Jacqueline Natla oneshot that's essentially the weirdest but also best love story I have ever written

Elysia - an Elden Ring Queen Marika-centric post-canon AU oneshot exploring a 'what-if' type of scenario that not only gives her a (in my opinion) more satisfying ending but also may or may not connect Elden Ring to the Souls series in probably the most unexpected way possible

weave me into being - a retelling of Arachne's poem making the whole tragedy slightly less tragic, much more dubious, and really rather gay

Divine Anthology Part II: Hera (something worth taking)

Divine Anthology Part III: Aphrodite (where gods go to die)

Divine Anthology Part IV: Hestia

Divine Anthology Part V: Artemis

Anathema - the final three chapters, finishing what I started

Looking at this, I think Anathema won't actually be touched again this year so that story's taking a one-year hiatus. I can't focus on a longer project when I have too many small ideas plaguing my thoughts so I'm getting those out of the way first.

And that's it. I don't think I forgot anything but if I did, well, it's going to show up on my ao3 profile eventually.

Evolution of ‘Tomb Raider’

We know that media and technology is developing day by day. Game industry is also developing. They are improving the gameplay and graphics in every version they launch. There are so many examples like Prince of Persia, The last of us, GTA, etc. I would like to discuss about ‘Tomb Raider’. It was already discussed in our class session.

The first version of ‘Tomb Raider’ was released in 1996. In the first-ever Tomb Raider game, Lara is hired by a business lady named Jacquelin Natla. Her job: find an odd thing called the Scion of Atlantis. Lara finds all pieces of the Scion in different parts of the world. But at a volcanic island with monsters, she gets betrayed by Natla and they fight each other.

They improved the game quality and graphics in every versions they released.

Even so, the way you played early "Tomb Raider" games was still very much like how platform games were at a time when Mario and Sonic ruled them. Lara always paid more attention to solving problems and avoiding obstacles than fighting the enemies she found in old ruins.

Later few versions they made a biggest change in 2013. They reimagined Lara croft.

We can see a big difference that the latest version is enriched with the high resolutioin graphics and good gameplay. Even we can see the facial expression very clearly. While comparing to the first version the graphics was very low and no facial expressions are shown in the game play.

Here they make the game more realistic. The gamers can immerse into the game because they feel like every single grass is looking real.
