This is the deliberate bombing of a trapped population who have nowhere to flee. Gaza has been an open-air prison for nearly two decades and is fast becoming a mass grave. 40% of those killed are innocent children.
Whole families are being murdered. While the world watches and with the active support of many governments, millions of Palestinian civilians - children, women, families - are being collectively punished and dehumanized, all while being deprived food, medicine and humanitarian aid against international law. By refusing to demand a humanitarian ceasefire and blocking the UN Security Council from imposing one on both parties, world leaders are complicit in these crimes.

Yesterday, as I was scrolling though Twitter, I saw reports starting to come in of an attack on a refugee camp in northern Gaza. After the confusion in the aftermath of the hospital attack before, news sites were a lot more leery of actually mentioning Israel or even airstrikes at all, so we got reporting like this:
Tumblr media
But, at this point Israel actually seems to have no compunctions about admitting what they're doing and straight up taking credit because just a little while later I see people remarking on how in this interview:
Tumblr media
even Wolf Blitzer, who used to work for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC, a powerful lobby), seems somewhat taken aback and asking for confirmation that the IDF is really saying what they're saying.
(By the way, not to leave out the continued journalistic passive voice cowardice on display only with respect to this conflict, this is what the New York Times text alert sent out:
Tumblr media
A NEARBY HOSPITAL REPORTED MANY DEATHS???)
But anyway, okay, so Israel hit a refugee camp, terrible, cruel, the day ends.
Today, I wake up, and I see some tweets saying again they've hit Jabalia, and even my at this point cynical mind couldn't in a million years have thought they literally meant "again", I thought oh, they just mean that in an ongoing series of bombing places they shouldn't, they've hit a refugee camp, they're referring to yesterday's attack.
No.
Tumblr media
Who would have thought they'd do it AGAIN? I don't want to post the aftermath of the videos and pics, but they were horrendous, and to do it again? So like, did not kill the alleged reported Hamas leader the first time? It was just many people's lives ruined forever for no reason?
But guys, then they attacked it a THIRD time.
Tumblr media
I'm honestly just so sad right now. When will it end? We need a ceasefire now.

On October 31, Israeli bombers dropped a carefully calibrated batch of 2000-pound bombs in the middle of the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, destroying an entire city block in a single moment and wounding or killing hundreds of civilians. Israel said that the intended target was one particular Hamas official—whose presence was not even confirmed—and that all those hundreds of people just happened to be in the way. “But even if that Hamas commander was there amidst all those Palestinian refugees who are in that Jabalia refugee camp, Israel still went ahead and dropped a bomb there, knowing that a lot of innocent civilians, men, women, and children presumably would be killed?” an incredulous Wolf Blitzer asked an Israeli military spokesman on CNN. Yes. “This is the tragedy of war, Wolf,” came the reply. “As we’ve been saying for days, move south.” Even for Blitzer this was too much. “You knew there were refugees, all sorts of refugees, but you still drop a bomb on that refugee camp attempting to kill the Hamas commander.”

This is a video taken yesterday in the market of the Jabalia refugee camp in the north of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinians published it to show that everything is fine and they are standing firm despite the war that Israel is waging against them.
Throughout the war, the Palestinians have claimed that Israel is committing genocide against them. A claim adopted by many in the West and Arab countries. South Africa even appealed under this article against Israel to the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The Palestinians always try to hold the stick from both ends: the most dangerous and the most heroic.  We don't care about the war, but they are committing genocide on us...
 Miraculously it works for them...

We’re doing everything we can to minimize civilian deaths, but we’re still bombing civilians.
Hamas ≠ Palestine
There is no defending this.
Bombing hundreds of innocent noncombatant Palestinian civilians to get to a even a dozen Hamas generals is not something “good guys” do. This is supervillain logic.
This is a war crime.
This is genocide.

Hamas health ministry: Israeli attack on the Jabalia refugee camp
A Gaza health ministry spokesman said two Israeli strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp killed more than 80 people on Saturday.
UN officials said the school had sheltered thousands of displaced Palestinians and Martin Griffiths condemned the “tragic news of the children, women and men killed.”
Civilians cannot and should not have to bear this any longer. Humanity needs to prevail.
“At least 50 people” were killed in a dawn strike on the UN-run Al-Fakhura school in the camp, a ministry spokesman told AFP news agency.
Social media videos confirmed by AFP showed bodies covered in blood and dust on the floor of one of the buildings, where mattresses had been pushed under school desks.
