no fr like. you have to look past the fact it's a low budget bbc production at times and embrace the slightly see through lesbian alien with foot long fingers that can read minds. you have to embrace the sex alien that absorbs people through her pussy. crucially, you have to watch it in as few sittings as possible. the only proper way to watch torchwood is to watch the entire thing absolutely nonstop and nothing else in between until your brain falls out through your ears :)

This is less of an issue in collaborative projects, but for creating a community space for people to share their own worlds, idk I've seen that usually it just hits a saturation point where its hard to even have conversations about the projects because either all questions have been answered or just, its impossible to stay invested in everything.

i dont know if i have any particular analysis of that but i do think that scene highlights an interesting element of bkgs character which is that he is decidedly not very shallow

i think often his arrogance or projected arrogance makes his fandom image a guy who is shallowly obsessed with appearances. but i think for him to say what part of her was frail kind of speaks to the fact that the opposite is true. that bkg doesn't see people as their appearance but measures them by what they're capable of

#return to sender #people always write bakugou to be this arrogant and shallow wad which is such an interesting projection of his character #because even at the worst of his arc at the beginning #his obsession with deku didn't have as much to do with deku being quirkless as it did with deku himself #bakugou used dekus quirklessness against him but i dont believe that it was really bc of that #he just. was deeply intimidated by dekus character and pointed out his weakness #but that speaks to the fact that bakugou is an immensely good judge of character #he sees people specifically for their quality and capabilities #and ochako isnt the first or last example of this #he does this with shindo yo and accurately assessing him as a fake and shallow snake. and again #when he's talking to kirishima pointing out how his greatest strength is being a wall and encouraging him #and again in season five where he utilizes the individual talents of his team to win the training match #bkg sees people as their qualities before he sees their appearances #so this projected idea that he would care about appearances is truly very bonkers to me lol #katsuki <3 #its one of those things about bkg i love very much tbh

Had an absolute vision of a dream last night that one of the episodes of series 5 starts with Alison about to drive somewhere, and for whatever reason, the Captain was sitting in the passenger seat. They got outside the gates and the captain didn't disappear. This causes them both to freak out, and the Captain freaks out so hard that his soul or whatever regresses and warps time for a second, and Alison has to slam on the brakes so they don't crash. When she looks over at the Captain to check if he's okay, there's a little girl in the seat.

Turns out the Captain is trans and he could leave the grounds bc for some reason he was connected to a locket in his pocket which was a gift from his mother that had his deadname inscribed on it (I don't remember what it was; maybe Elizabeth?). The picture on the inside was one of those typical victorian family portrait photos from when he was little.

The episode then becomes about Alison finding out more about the Captain's life and them finding members of his family's graves and people who are still alive, like younger siblings or nieces/nephews.

The B plot was all the ghosts freaking out that the Captain had been sucked off bc suddenly he's just not there and they don't know what to do! It was still so recently that Mary left them and now the captain too?! 😭

Anyway I know it makes no sense that he would randomly become attached to a locket that's always been in his pocket when we've seen him be unable to pass through the gate before, but this was a dream so whatever 😖 Trans Captain is now canon in my head and my heart so 💕
