I'm so baffled by the take that "we didn't need higher production value" from watcher purely because of puppet history

guys, puppet history was the spiritual successor to the hot daga and ruining history, two "shows" which were cancelled by buzzfeed because they were too expensive to make. and that was while Ryan and Shane were making one of their best performing shows

watcher has always explicitly been about higher production value not getting in the way of creativity. you mightve been okay with yellow and blue text on a black background, but watcher fans made puppet history one of their most iconic and successful shows

Every antagonist in P5 was focused on order and control, so post-game idea: Goro has to fight against chaos.

Imagine the character with an ability called Call of Chaos struggling with a metaverse threat trying to drag him down further into chaos. Post-rehab, still going to therapy, and now there's some other entity in the cognitive world trying to force him to give into the Call. Said entity is even using Call of Chaos itself on peoples shadows and Goro has to prove it isn't him doing it. All the while Akira is seeing the news and starts suspecting Goro's alive because of it and becomes determined to hunt him down.

With Goro in the end gaining total control over the Call, as well as finally having control of his own life.

#also love the idea that he can to feel Call of Chaos effecting him even when he isnt in the metaverse whenever the entity uses it on someone #and at first its subtle but the longer things go on the more intensely it effects him #oh and really like the idea of Zenkichi and Maruki being Goro's teammates #Zenkichi because PubSec sent him to deal with Goro after his success with the thieves #Maruki as a (reluctant) compromise to stop Zenkichi from calling Akira (because of his counseling experience mixed with metaverse knowledge #ngl I'm kind on the “Zenkichi is Goro's Sojiro” train and a lot of my post-game stuff has included it lately lol #also Maruki helping Goro the most when it comes to his mental health (especially his ptsd and the Call) #p5 #things ai made #Akechi Goro #shuake

I have seen a hilarious large number of people claim that sokai is “rushed” and “made unnecessarily romance focused” and “thrown in our faces too much” while SIMULTANEOUSLY complaining that sokai never kisses or does anything explicitly romantic and is shoved to the side constantly and never gets development. And this is hilarious to me. Like. Guys come on. Pick a side. OR commit fully. Stop hating my ship inaccurately and Admit that it is pretty iconic and hilarious that they manage to be too obnoxiously romantic and unnecessarily plot relevant while also having a glaring lack of canon romance and no plot relevence. Like. I know i cant make people like my characters and my ships but can you at least start admitting how funny your complaints about them are. before i go to bed bc i have been doing a lot of research- it’s *intensely* funny people whine about “gene's vision” whenever star trek is mildly transgressive like. i mean for one the dude stuffed the series with as much sex as he could in the time periods he was alive if he saw modern star trek and what’s possible on the air nowadays he'd probably say it needed to be way hornier lol. but also like. gene was progressive in his time outside of his fucking ridiculous level of misogyny. and even with that people who were Not Gene because turns out multiple people are involved in production of a whole tv show were often progressive in that area including women who obviously didn’t share the nightmare sexism gene had. and the series heavily reflected that, even if it’s not obvious today (since progressive for the 60s is usually intensely bigoted now). if the series wanted to be accurate to that it should actually be way more transgressive to the point it makes blunders bc the writers are tired from arguing with network executives. where’s the equivalent of the first interracial kiss on television guys ur playing it way too safe.

I believe that we really need to have organized protests against the GOP as well as against the dangerous anti-Trans propaganda. The fact that there are people purposely spreading misinformation as a means to dehumanize trans people and spread fear-mongering and encourage violence is disgusting, it is fascist, it is unconstitutional, it is anti-freedom, and it is dangerous.

I implore everyone to have a means to defend themselves (whether it's guns or a bat or simply learning how to physically defend yourself) Whatever works for your situation. Learn about the states and where it is safest, as well as learn about what it would take to immigrate somewhere else. Better safe than sorry.

Protest, be vocal in politics, talk to your politicians, and fight misinformation with information. Teach people about trans laws and what it takes to transition, why the ability to transition is important, how transitioning impact health, and the laws around trans kids. There is a lot of misinformation about how kids transition (a lot of politicians are claiming that kids can just 'go to a hospital and get 'mutilated' into another gender. This is deeply untrue. Trans kids do not have access to surgery until they're 18, and most 18-year-olds aren't going to get surgery cuz it's too expensive. Not only that, but kids go have to go through a lot of therapy and different solutions until they are diagnosed as trans. The same goes with literally any other health issue. There are policies in place to ensure that people don't get misdiagnosed as trans.)

People also need to be educated on what grooming actually is and how it happens. It's gross that it's become a buzzword and it's insulting that they would misuse it, not just to trans people, but to actual victims of grooming.

If these politicians were actually concerned about grooming, they wouldn't be protecting the laws that allow those with money to get away with those crimes. And if they actually cared about children, they wouldn't be spreading laws and misinformation that actively puts them in danger.

I seriously believe that the people spreading this hateful propaganda and misinformation for their political benefit should be held accountable and arrested. I want them to get their comeuppance.
