Kudos to Katsuki who really said "you ran away on my birthday so imma be dead on yours". Who doesn't love a good revenge arc?

i was rereading some water 7 chapters, and the introduction of kaku was so funny. i love when luffy and zoro are using the same braincell even at a distance
luffy meeting kaku, ch. 325 "usopp?"
and zoro meeting kaku, ch 326 "oh, just usopp"
vs. Egghead arc and meeting kaku again post time skip - with nothing really changing of how luffy perceives some people (ch. 1078)
and also kaku meeting zoro on the sunny on Egghead prior the scene above and their lines echoing the first meeting on Water 7 - "I'm sorry. Did I wake you?" vs here "Who dares to disturb my nap?"

My unpopular opinion is that in languages with grammatical gender like french, it does make sense for Murderbot to be referred to by whatever pronoun is usually used for robots or constructs. (In french, therefore, grammatical masculine.) Because there are no traditional « it » pronouns in these languages for objects, and while there are neo-pronouns, they are things one must choose for themselves. Do you honestly think MB actually spent time thinking about its pronouns?! No it didn’t. On forms it picks « non-applicable ». When people ask it what pronouns they should use, its honest opinion is « why do you even need to talk about me. Just don’t fucking do that. Don’t think about me either. Just fucking stop perceiving me altogether! »
Thinking about what pronouns to use probably makes it way more uncomfortable than letting people call it what they’ve already been calling it. Making a conscious choice about its identity? And telling other people about it??? No thanks bye, it’s just gonna walk into the ocean now, see you never.
Lbr it probably thinks the only bots that get fancy pronouns are comfort units, and the pronouns are probably shoved into them by humans same as everything else. MB would meet a bot using a neopronoun and it would wish it could barf. Because in a language like french, he/him and she/her, when applied to objects, ARE fulfilling the function of the english « it ». Nobody is saying the table is a woman or related to feminity in any way outside of stand-up comedy; when it comes to objects grammatical gender really has fuckall to do with human gender even if we use the same words. Even animal species names have grammatical gender and everyone gets that there are male and female turtles even if the word « turtle » is a female word, it’s not that confusing.
(I know this is strange when your language has different pronouns for people and for objects, but understand that english uses the same word to indicate if I’m addressing one or many people, and that is confusing to me.)
TL;DR; stop harassing international fans for not getting the correct MB pronoun in english right off the bat. Yes in english calling it « he » or « her » or « them » is upsetting because it’s projecting an identity unto it. But same goes for trying to get a foreign language translation to use a pronoun intended to express or showcase an identity (or even a lack of one!). Murderbot has not thought about it this hard, refuses to think about it this hard -> and that is its only canon accurate gender identity.

A character i designed in class today, got the assignment to make a character and for some reason i was thinking about bells
I realized while making her that she'd actually fit into my oc world pretty well and add some really interesting stuff
Have not come up with a name for her yet unsurprisingly, so lets just call her Bell Goat(sheep? cow?) Grandma for now
Also heres the sketches from when i was trying to come up with ideas, first i drew the bells in the corner, then the person in the top right, and then the sketch i ended up refining

Chuuya, thinking Dazai doesn't care when in fact Dazai would move mountains for Chuuya if the need arose.
Dazai, thinking Chuuya despises him when in fact Chuuya cares for him unlike any other person because he understands Dazai intimately, he's just frustrated.
Me, in severe pain, all the time, every day, because of this dynamic.

early seasons macdennis : Dennis is deeply insecure and Mac thinks he's possibly one of the best things to happen to him, and as much as Dennis doesn't want to admit it he relies on Mac and care for him deeply also. They may have their miscommunications at times and both of them aren't good people but they have each other in the end
Modern macdennis : Dennis is a deeply insecure man who has only spiraled as he has gone into his middle age, he still tries to bang young women just so he can say he did it and is deeply afraid of being known and showing any sort of vulnerability. He has been stuck in the same friend group since high school and has lived with the same man for close to 20 causing him to resent them all deeply cause if it were up to him he would have dropped them all (he's had multiple chances to leave but in the end he always came back to them). Time should never run out for him, he should be the exception to it all. Mac is practically in love with Dennis and has been for a long time and he's not completely sure how to express his feelings or if he even should. Mac lacks a filter causing him to overstep Dennis's boundaries on the regular in the hopes that if he pushes hard enough something will click and be the thing Dennis needs and Dennis will run into his arms. This in turn has led Dennis to resent Mac the most out of their friend group causing years of verbal abuse (and scratching), only recently has it seemed like they are best friends of 20+ years. These are two awful people who have done awful things, where in the end the question is 'who else?' They aren't necessarily each other's last options, but who in their right mind would want to live with Dennis? and who in their right mind would want to live with Mac?
