fake disney remakes by year: snow white, 1937

blanche snow has been bringing a smile and a song to a depressed america since she was a child. gracious to a fault and sweet as pie, she’s adored by her audiences, her co-stars, and her studio alike. even the gossip columnist flo prince, whose pen is as a dagger in the hearts of leading players and studio execs everywhere, can’t help but love her.

but there’s one person who doesn’t appreciate seeing blanche’s face beaming out at her from a magazine or a poster: her stepmother, hildy la verne. once upon a time, hildy was the uncontested queen of the silver screen, but the talkies cramped her over-the-top style, and the studios got tired of hushing up her scandals - like the mysterious death of her last husband.

when blanche is cast in a sound remake of one of hildy’s old films, she hits her breaking point. she doesn’t believe blanche when she swears that she tried to talk the studio out of it, and what was once an ordinary dislike of the girl turns into pure poison.

hildy hires the gangster “doc” diamante to get rid of blanche for good, promising a queen’s ransom for getting the job done. but doc and his fellas aren’t nearly as bad as they’d like people to think they are - and they love blanche’s movies. so it’s not difficult for her to come out the other side with seven new bodyguards and a safe place to hide from her stepmother.

meanwhile, blanche’s disappearance has become the talk of hollywood. flo is convinced that hildy was involved, and he’s determined not to let her get away with it... but she’s proving a lot more dangerous than he thought she was.

one of my favorite things a customer has ever accused me of was 6 years ago when I worked at Rita's (an Italian ice and frozen custard chain) a woman who came in every day with her husband and ordered the exact same thing insisted that the cups were smaller than usual and when we told her that they weren't she started screaming at me and my shift lead that we were "obviously shrinking the cups back there"

I still wonder constantly how she thought we were doing that

#still remember their order too. 2 large cherry and vanilla gelatis (vanilla custard on bottom then cherry ice then more custard)#her husband looked extremely apologetic the whole time and left us a couple extra dollars for a tip #my manager ended up giving her the ritas corporate number so shed leave lmfaooo but it was insane #her husband had bought the ices from me then she stormed back up with him a few minutes later demanding i remake them #because she insisted i had not given her a large cup and she knew bc she came every day and got the same thing #so i pulled out 1 cup from each of our 3 sizes and showed her that hers was obviously the large #and she kept insisting i was lying and asking for a manager. so i got my shift lead and brought her up front #which she was already annoyed about bc she was in the middle of making new italian ice which is a whole process #she kept telling her we hadnt gotten new cups in weeks so they definitely werent different #and the lady just yelled 'well then you 2 must be shrinking them back there!' and my lead started laughing in her face #which just made her more mad but it was unbelievably funny. still is. like how and why would we do this ma'am

Come spesso accade, essendo la storia ambientata a Napoli, molti degli attori che figurano nello sceneggiato sono interpreti fissi di Un Posto al Sole. Gli unici fotogrammi che sono riuscita a reperire sono quelli di questo video di promozione. La colonna sonora utilizzata per la miniserie Rai è la stessa della pellicola originale, composta da Jordan Dean. Spero possiate apprezzare quanto me questo assaggio di eccellenza italiana, come al solito ingiustamente sottovalutata.

Riccardo Polizzy Carbonelli (Goncharov dopo la plastica facciale / after plastic surgery) While Goncharov (1973) is known just by a few connoisseurs, even fewer are the ones who know about its Italian remake made by national television towards the end of the 90s. As it often happens when a media is set in Naples, many of the actors for this production are also part of the cast of the popular Italian soap opera Un Posto al Sole. This is the only footage of the Italian adaptation I managed to put my hands on. It features the iconic score from the original movie, by the one and only Jordan Dean. I hope you’ll be able to appreciate this bit of criminally underrated Italian excellence as much as I did. (Cast is listed above. The YouTube video features English subtitles).

Apparently the live action pinocchio diverts a lot more from the original than other disney remakes have and there’s a baffling plot point that critics are refusing to give away (not the one where it turns out geppetto elderly italian tom hanks made pinocchio to replace his dead son)- does anyone know what it is?

He's probably trying to conquer the multiverse XD

Talkin' about Woz, I feel like I should share a bit about his story:

1) He lives in a anti-void (Errors free) 2) He is possessed by Bill Cipher... maybe? I had many conflicting ideas about this. 3) He recreated a wonky version of the main Underwizard characters by cloning them. Alphys (aka "Alpis") is the only rational one. Them all use the old UW designs. 4) After that he eventually got his round hands on the Interdimensional rift so Bill could physically enter the mortal world. 5) A Bill!Sans stole the rift and now Woz hates him. 6) Woz was so mad that he decided to distract himself by making a pillow castle to fill the anti-void, and now that's his base.

Shoutout to my irl best friend and my brother for helping me creating this dude ♡
