The Bakusquads Music Taste

I was thinking about this on the bus awhile back before school vacation, and just now im deciding to share my thoughts!

Bakugou:

I believe Bakugou would listen to hard rap. He works out a lot, so he probably listens to music that fits the vibe and gets him pumped y’know? HOWEVER, i also believe he listens to rock. the grittiest, edgiest, stuff. MCR, Get Scared, others with similar sounds. He doesn’t listen to pop, but some songs he likes (you’d have to catch him dead before he ever admitted it tho lol). I think he’d prefer masculine voices over feminine ones, but i think he could vibe to a female singer.

Kirishima:

He doesn’t listen to anything sad, he doesn’t want his mood to drop. Like Bakugou, he listens to music that pumps him up. Unlike him tho, it isn’t hard rap. It’s songs like Hall of Fame, Believer, For the Glory, Fight Song, etc. He has a preference for masculine voices because MANLY. He doesn’t mind female singers tho.

Kaminari:

Kaminari definitely listens pop. Songs about love and sex specifically. Bros trying to have his rizzlor dreams, yknow? Although, i do also believe he listens to alternative rock and other genres that i can’t think of the names rn lol. I’m thinking songs like Dear Maria Count Me In (All Time Low), Mr. Brightside (The Killers), Afraid (The Neighbourhood), Mr. Bigshot (Anarbor), etc. He likes both feminine and masculine voices

Mina:

She 100% listens to pop and the such. Cardi B, Ariana Grande, Megan Thee Stallion, The Weeknd, Lil Nas X, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, etc. Songs about being a girboss, things that hype up self-confidence, or just things that are really fun to dance to. Speaking of songs to dance to, she definitely listens to genres like hip-hop, dance, or really anything upbeat and danceable. prefers feminine voices over masculine, but is fine with either.

Sero:

Honestly, i think his playlists would be all over the place. You’d go from listening to Doja Cat, to Destiny’s Child, to Mother Mother, to Juan Luis Guerra, to KISS, and etc. I think his music would get so weird that eventually songs from Jack Stauber would show up. Bro is not restrained by any means, he will listen to anything he can hum to. He listens to any kind of voice, doesn’t matter to him.

boys planet trainees as seventeen songs pt. 1

this is mostly based on how well they fit the concept, but also if i think the song would be a good fit for them based on their skills! to make things more interesting i’ll be excluding the songs that have already been covered on the show (so no home, aju nice, or hot)

trauma - ricky

i think one thing that a lot of people comment on is how ricky has a softer voice

in comparison to other rappers on the show like keita, his delivery isn’t as sharp if that makes sense

which is perfectly fine! each voice fits a different part and i think that ricky’s voice would work really well in trauma

it’s not about the big things but about expressing emotion and thoughts through simple but charismatic rapping

i’d love to see ricky write his own lyrics about his experience on boys planet a la limousine

and also most of the video is just them sitting in different sets and rapping while looking cool

which may not sound very difficult, but it’s actually quite hard to be engaging while also looking like you’re just chilling

and honestly i think ricky’s facial expressions and mannerisms would really suit this song

like there are some people who just look good even if they’re not doing much you know?

i just think this is such a good concept for him

24h - kim jiwoong

to be honest, i think that this one is pretty self explanatory lmfao

it’s a sexy concept for our resident sexy boy

and i think dark red (and navy blue) are just his colours yknow?

i can already imagine him doing the low 24 hour line and i think it would be perfection

to be honest, i love seeing jiwoong try new concepts out, like he did an amazing job with say my name

but i think in terms of what suits him the best, definitely a concept like 24h

world - seo won

ahhhhhhhhhh i think this would be so so good for seo won!!!!!

like the sparkly outfits, the shining lights

and i love seo won when he smiles and a really cute and upbeat concept just suits him so well!

he would also be so good during the chorus like i know that my boy can sing, even if mnet likes to pretend that he doesn’t exist

fallin flower - sung hanbin

ahhhhh i had to think really long and hard about who i should give fallin flower to and what song i should give to sung hanbin

i think there are so many synchronized arm movements in fallin flower and the dance is very delicate and elegant

it’s a song that’s very near and dear to my heart and i think that shanbin would be able to do the concept justice

not only is he our favourite flower boy but he also specializes in tutting and waacking, both of which require precise arm movements

so i think that pulling off fallin flower would be effortless for him

also ngl i feel like he would look really good in pink but maybe that’s just me

mansae - kim gyuvin

THIS SONG FEELS SO GYUVIN

like it’s just a fun and cheerful song

a little bit on the goofy side

and we’ve all seen enough behind the scenes videos to know that gyuvin would totally nail this concept

i think he also has a really youthful look to him so the high school setting also works

also i just really want to see him do the choreo for the chorus

darl+ing - kim taerae

AFTER MAN IN LOVE I HAVE BEEN OBSESSED WITH TAERAE SMILING WHILE HE’S SINGING

he just has such a wholesome smile

and i think that darl+ing is such a cute song

like taerae would be so sweet while performing and i think he would really shine in a vocal heavy song!!!!

left and right - haruto

maybe it’s because of his zoom outfit but haruto has always come off as a little sporty? to me

and he has a lot of energy and the dance skills to match

so i think left and right would be such a good fit for him!

like he has a really good groove to his dancing that really suits the chorus

and i just know that he would eat up the rapa

adore u - kum junhyeon

okay yes, adore u has had some questionable outfit and editing choices

but who better than kum junhyeon to really make that his own

gang was probably one of my favourite performances this season just because of the personality that they brought to the show

also you definitely need energy for this song and junhyeon has more than enough of that

cheers - keita

honestly i think that left and right could also work for keita (especially the rap part)

but i also think he would do so well in cheers, especially with hoshi’s part

so far his rapping has been fairly fast and doesn’t give him that much room to be more experimental with his delivery

but i think cheers will be good for that

also i feel like he would just rock the big hat yknow

honourable mention goes to back it up which would suit his current rap style perfectly

however there’s no video so i’m not really sure about the concept

call call call - park hanbin

okay law phanbin with the scar changed me

like fundamentally as a person i have been changed

but honestly he does so many different concepts it’s a little crazy

i think call call call would be so fun for him, especially since the concept of the song is on the wackier side

like his facial expressions would be so good in this

and there are 3 main outfit concepts at the beginning and he would suit all of them

also he would look very cool on a motorcycle i’m just saying

okay these ideas are mainly due to your blog title, but still i hope you like it! sorry i got to it late!

position: OBVIOUSLY the 'long-suffering-and-tired-leader' role for you. you're not actually the oldest (ill talk more abt this with the group concept) and you're ALSO a rapper with good dance skills. you're quiet but you're also a moodmaker? like one smile or stupid joke from you makes your members go crazy cuz usually you're so reserved, yknow

group name: your group name is titled 'C+' (pronounced C PLUS) which comes from a few background reasons. one, its a shorthand of C++ which is a programming language focused on performance and software development, so your company is saying your group is focused on the entire performance as a whole -- therefore, you all are all at least /good/ at everything. the other comes from C as a roman numeral -- which is 100, and the plus becomes 100+ because the age of your members adds up to OVER 100, which ties in very closely with your concept.. your group only has 4 members, so you can do the math.

concept: your concept has to do with age. especially with all the 'drama' recently of people being mad older ppl r debuting... your groups whole POINT is to be older in the industry and show everyone you can still thrive, and life doesnt end at 21. which is why your group name is so important, bc it focuses on everyones age adding up to over 100. your group gets a lot of shit when you first debut, but honestly each of your members have had far more time to train and hone their skills that once you debut and have a comeback, ppl cant deny your skills!!!

debut song: honestly the debut is pretty standard, theres nothing super special about the concept or the song, but your group pulls it off so well that it FEELS special and new and unique. i think the song itself would be upbeat and happy, and the mv would show your members still having fun and being young, even if they are adults, yknow. just bc you're 25+ doesnt mean you cant love stuffed animals or play board games, and thats what the mv depicts

fun fact: your members loveeee to mess with you, bc your reactions arealways so funny, but you have known your members so long (as trainees) that they easily tell when theyve crossed a line, or when not to mess with you, so theres hardly any ever drama -- but there IS lots of eye rolling and being teased!

ok uhhh once again if this ends up becoming a furtana post it's bc i have zero self-control. seriously no thoughts only them i am a furtana stan account

also? once i've written more of the fic (manifesting that lmao) i wanna make a proper zine and i think it would be fun to include mini playlists for the main characters? like 'santana essentials,' 'finntana's soft jazz essentials,' etc. very hypothetical project but a girl can dream

finntana grew up together and therefore have similar music tastes (kinda). finn is very big on rock, especially classic rock, and made santana listen to a lot of it with him. she was never into it to the same extent as he was, but high school rolled around, dragging up a lot of insecurities and pain, and santana realised that singing along to the angriest rock songs she could find helped alleviate some of it. finn wasn't huge into alt rock but he did some digging just for her and helped her find artists like alanis morissette to listen to. he also talked to his mom about his concerns regarding santana's mental health (as if carole hadn't noticed already) and she introduced santana to soft jazz. so some days, finn and santana would go outside and blast alt rock and break stuff, but other days they would curl up in bed and fall asleep to the softest jazz (this is not a good drawing but u get the vibe). i think kurt would join in on the jazzy times - he would just sit at finn's desk and work on homework or fashion stuff, yknow? once in a while he'd look over at finntana just to check in, and he'd smile fondly when he sees that one or both of them has fallen asleep.

santana is a bit more connected to latin culture here, so i reckon she likes to sing along to spanish songs when she's doing stuff like cleaning or cooking. kurt can tell she's in a good mood when he hears it. she vibes in particular with rock artist santana, completely unrelated to the fact that his (last) name is also santana. i also think she's into r&b but i have not thought about it in detail.

kurt likes his showtunes :) i think his interest in them would've increased more in college/upon meeting blaine, bc finn and santana were never the type to listen to any of that. also? this is kinda random but kurt strikes me as the kind of person who enjoys niche/old/foreign movies, so i also have some classic french songs in my kurt playlist? stuff like la vie en rose, non je ne regrette rien, ne me quitte pas, etc. i just know that boy romanticises paris there's no way he doesn't.

quinn gives me indie vibes, which is a funny statement bc i still have not figured out what indie music really is. it feels like a very vague category bc then u have indie pop and indie rock and like,,, what does that meAN. i looked up the definition of indie and i'm still confused. anyway i have a very specific vibe in mind so i'm just gonna drop a few songs here and call it a day. carnival - natalie merchant, criminal - fiona apple, honey and smoke - case/lang/veirs, august - taylor swift, stop draggin' my heart around - stevie nicks ft tom petty. take from that what u will.

brittany listens to a lot of upbeat music. primarily 2000s- early 2010s pop and hip hop but i don't think she has much of a preference as long as it has a good dance beat. i have a solid mix of britney spears, rihanna, beyonce, kesha, and lady gaga songs (among others) in her playlist if that helps. she has the best playlists for stuff like bus rides and messing around in the gym with music playing on the speakers bc it's safe to assume everyone will enjoy all of it

tina also gives me a vibe i don't know how to describe. can u tell i have no idea what i'm doing <3 more song drops: the underground - meg myers, zombie - the cranberries, angel of the morning - juice newton, sweet dreams (are made of this) - eurythmics, ironic - alanis morissette. but i think she'd also be into pop? idk i feel like she isn't super picky about music?

have not figured out what sugar would listen to. genuinely not a clue in this head of mine i'm so sorry. i just don't have a playlist for her at all asdfskdfj i wanna say it's similar to britt's but like,, more bubbly? does that make sense? i hope it does

i listened to match up and um...

more: aggressive start. i can't say i'm against rapping now with momentum rather than after the chorus without.... the transition could be better but i like the pre chorus and the instrumental is ramping up but i don't particularly like the yeyeyeyeyeah lead in but whatever. the melody for the chorus isn't super strong and tbh it didn't need the other part "all day jwjskdhsjdjs monday tuesday wandjakjdd" after the whole chorus all the shouting gets old fast but it's ok.... ok it slowed down anyway whatever . whatever this rap is honestly bland but yknow...... pre chorus chorus rinse and repeat. the dance break/bridge (?) is fun - i really like the occasional knock out boxing esque high pitched accent chord that's fun!!!! i like the ending with that crunchy guitar

t-shirt: the first bits are ok . generic but "oh man i really like that tshirt" lmfao what is that.... i don't think i heard it right but it still sucks as a line :rofl: the chorus is reheated waste product and did it just segue into a key change second verse that is (devastatingly) slowed down. whatever .... whatever ........

dirty shoes swag: i like the brass in that background...! it's fun .......! and the pre chorus works well too. but the chorus is strange english.... "i can do this errday [errdaaaaaay]"........ it's better than the other choruses but it still kinda sucks lol ....... the second verse curse is back and now the pre chorus doesn't make sense....... either way it's ok . generic

television: i did NOT expect the chorus what it was this slow swaying song and then it key changes and turns into this upbeat fun chorus????? anyways stuff happens and then some weird rap bit happens which turns out to be some weird bridge. it's whatever

ferris wheel: this song makes the most sense out of the new songs on match up. it's cute and i like the bendy chords that sometimes show up!

jinjin's playlist gets an 8.5/10 for me. i think his music choices are all very solid! im happy to say that i think jinjin has pretty good taste. there weren't a lot of korean artists, which im assuming is because this is made with an international audience in mind which sucks, i'd love more diversity. i mostly listened to this on shuffle, but actually, when i started listening to it in order i started liking it a lot more? funny how that works. its actually tempting me to up that grading but... no. hes not QUITE up there. really good taste though, i will absolutely listen to more of this.

here's some observations:

I WAS SO HAPPY TO SEE OVERTIME IN THIS, ITS LEGIT ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS. actually i noticed a few cash cash songs in this. guys.... i think jinjin might like cash cash. just a theory.

he added an entire madeon album which was so fucking funny to me. i dated a girl who was super into madeon. haven't talked to her in like a year but i felt so tempted to go "hey. my kpop boy likes madeon. just thought i'd let you know" VNFJNVJV. either way i like the little ive heard from madeon so i approve.

there were a couple of songs here that i already knew but they were all songs that i liked a lot! so that made me very happy!

a lot of this is just kinda very generic pop BUT to jinjin's luck, i also really like generic pop! maybe he should marry me idk. listen, generic pop is like anything, it can be good or bad, and i think jinjin and i both like GOOD generic pop ok. it does go back to me saying i wish there was more diversity here though! jinjin, honey hear me out.... lets listen to shinedown together, i promise you, you're gonna like it JINJIN PLEASE LISTEN, I PROMISE-

he def has a thing for.... dance music?? is that what its called?? yknow the kind of song you can dance to. stuff thats very upbeat and fun.

there is a LOT of smaller artists here! i think its cool of him to introduce those to his audience. mad respect.

HMMM i dont have anything else to say about it. he listens to good music! i would pass him the aux, i trust him with it.

Oh, that makes sense. I think astro's style generally tends towards upbeat songs that u can dance to, so it makes sense that a lot of those types of songs also show up in jinjin's playlist. If jinjin likes generic pop, do u think he'd like without you by nct

So,same thing but with their third solos / Just Believe! solos (my personal favorite set of solos they have so far) you know the drill,I typed a lot of these along with the new Niji trio options,updated Muse shuffle fes options and Aqours shuffle fes options with their second solos so I might post those some time too so here we goooo

Ayumu - LIKE IT! LOVE IT! (SetsuPomu. But also while I feel like Say Goodbye Namida is similar enough to LI!LI! it’s also still different enough for Ayumu to be out of place imo plus imagine Aguri with the megaphone that is all)

Kasumi - Märchen Star (Look me in the eyes and tell me that this performance wouldn’t be SO SO cute,that’s right you can’t bc just imagining it makes my heart melt and even tho again,Margaret is kind of slow like this one it would still be different enough and rlly nice to see)

Shizuku - I’m Still… (I had a hard time picking someone to sing this,but ultimately decided on Shizuku bc her voice is pretty and would suit the song well so yeah that’s why)

Karin - Aion no Uta (Just now realizing I’ve given Karin two very vocal heavy songs,but again this is one of my many favorites off this album and Miyutan’s Karin voice is SO beautiful I feel like her version of this song would be absolutely stellar)

Ai - Queendom (Compared to her other songs,including Diabolic muiler this song is kind of more mature than her solos so it would be different enough and again I feel like it would be an absolutely amazing performance to see live,especially since Nacchan is a p good dancer)

Kanata - Yagate Hitotsu no Monogatari (Another one that would be just spectacular to see,this is by far my favorite Just Believe solo and I would pay so much to see it performed by Kanata / Akarin no less,who already has a great voice just aaaaa if this happened I’d want this so so so bad)

Setsuna - Analog Heart (Not much to say on this one,I couldn’t think of who could sing this song sooo yeah this would just be cute and the dance is so funny to me I’d love to see any of the seiyuus do it,but I just picked Setsu last minute)

Emma - Aoi Canaria (Listen,we were absolutely ROBBED of Emma / Chunrun doing a Shioriko solo in the first one imo so again,in my imaginary version of a live that may happen let me have this it would be great I just know it Chunrun’s voice sounds amazing in Aion no Uta,so I know she’d do super well if she did Aoi Canaria)

Rina - Margaret (I don’t have much else to say besides I think this would just be precious,it’s different enough for it to be noticeably so but this is another one of my favorites off this album and Rina / Tanaka performing it would be rlly cute)

Shioriko - Say Good-Bye Namida (Shiopomu. Just Shiopomu. But not only that,I think it would just be fun and cute to see,plus it’s a lot different than Shio’s other solos but would still be a good performance that’s really it I just love Shiopomu a lot that’s the whole reason we didn’t get her performing Yume no Ippo,so in my head I get this)

Mia - Tanoshii no Tensai (For some reason I just think the idea of this performance would be so funny,since Mia is a much more chilled out character so seeing her be all like WOAH WOAH WOAH YEAH YEAH YEAH would be great to see,plus she does have a more upbeat solo so yknow weird but not TOO weird)

Lanzhu - Fire Bird (Again,tell me this wouldn’t be a great performance because it would be SO good to see,like it’s kind of mature and diva-y enough to work well with Lanzhu’s vibe but it strays enough from her other solos to be different enough I just know this performance would be so powerful and I’d love to see it)

Hi!! I’m pretty confident that I’m an ENTP with developed Fe and a 9w8 sp/so, and I’m working on figuring out which head fix is in my tritype. I’m pretty bad about dealing with things and I usually make jokes and dance around things that make me anxious/open up, preferring to just go out and do things and have fun, so I’ve been thinking maybe a seven. Then again, I’m a huge nerd who doesn’t want to participate until I’m completely sure I won’t embarrass myself. I’m definitely not a six, but five and seven both feel avoidant enough that I could be them. Whenever I go to my friends, they say “you could be a five because you’re smart” and I don’t feel like that’s a proper analysis, yknow? As someone super confident they’re a nine/ENTP, how do I single out the head fix?

Your evidence for 7 is stronger than 5, so I’d assume 7.

Your friends don’t know anything about 5s if they just think they are ‘smart.’ 5s aren’t automatically smart. They can be total morons. The simple truth about 5s is they suffer from feelings of separation and alienation (much like the 4) and opt out of life as much as they can in order to remain emotionally detached. also best friends with soonyoung since they’re kind of in the same boat

doesn’t want to be sheltered by his parents even though he has mixed reactions from the public

even if his entire kingdom doesn’t like him, he wants to be a good prince and future king

Jeonghan, son of The Cheshire Cat

sly and sneaky and mischievous lil shit

you don’t think he’s there but he’s there

he hears and sees everything

his favorite thing to do other than nothing is eavesdrop

he’ll be hanging out with his friends and as soon as someone is like “let’s go do this” he disappears without saying anything

would throw hands for his sister without question

still a flirt like his dad though

but he drinks his respect women juice i promise

usually playing around with his brothers or sometimes going off to help hansol

even though his family is loaded now, he still acts like he’s an alley cat lmao

kinda stays away from jeonghan because he finds him scary

he wants to be a tiger so badly so

despite his dad being kind of yknow an asshole

soonyoung is a huge sweetheart

some people may think it’s an act or whatever but it’s just how he is

and his dad is trying so hard to get him to be less kind but the boy can’t help his fat heart okay

he hangs out with seungcheol a lot because the two can relate on being misunderstood

soonyoung is basically kovu

came from a shitty family but is just here for a good time

but if you fuck with him he can and will rip your throat out

hangs out with jun quite a bit because he makes him feel more upbeat and kind of grounded i guess???

because he doesn’t want his status or his father’s words getting to his head

honestly highkey worried he’ll become like his dad

Wonwoo, son of Milo Thatch & Kida

literally the perfect mix of his parents

the curiosity and shyness/awkwardness of his dad

mixed with the beauty and grace of his mom

he’s the prince of atlantis since kida became queen after the king died, and everyone absolutely adores him

has girls lining up to marry him but because he’s awkward like milo, he’s not really that interested in getting married anytime soon

hangs out with seungcheol and tries to give him helpful advice

pretty much always reading and learning about other cultures and kingdoms

has never been outside of atlantis and he’s highkey curious about what’s out there

but he’d never sneak out behind his parents’ back because he’s a good boi

Jihoon, son of Elsa

he’s a lot like his mom (from the first frozen i havent even seen the second one ok)

Truth or Dare | Kim Seungmin

A/n: hi I did this instead of everything else I was supposed to do and I think it's really cute and I love Seungmin and I hope you like it

"Cmon y/n, when will you confess to Seungmin?" Your friend, Kate taunted you again. She has been on your case ever since you filled her in on your little crush. She only knows that you've liked him since freshman year, but really it's been since like 7th grade. "It's senior year, what's the worst that could happen if you confess? You move away in a few months and never have to experience the awkwardness of seeing each other everyday? How awful." You don't laugh at her joke, so Kate takes that as a sign that it's time to change the subject. "Well, yknow how my birthday is in like 2 weeks. My mom is letting me have a party with my friends and she won't even have to be there to supervise. Since I'll be an adult and all!" She emphasizes adult as if being 18 suddenly makes her mature.

"Sounds great, Kate," you rhyme. You're hardly paying attention because something, or rather someone, caught your attention. "I'll see you after class," and then you're off to math while Kate had biology. She definitely noticed how hard you were staring at Seungmin while she was talking with you. Of course, you know nothing of what's to come.

"Hey! Felix!"

"What's up, Kate?" Felix was friends with Seungmin and some other boys. He also tended to be seen with Kate. Most people just assumed they were dating, and maybe they were, not even they know for sure.

"I'm having a birthday party next weekend and you and your friends are invited! Especially Seungmin." She adds a wink with the last statement.

"Will Miss y/n be there?"

"Of course. Why do you think I'm specifying for Seungmin?"

"It's so painfully obvious that he likes her so why can't he make a move already?!"

"Y/n is no different," Kate admits. "That's why I have a plan."

"H-hey y/n, " Seungmin stutters as he sits in his seat next to you.

"Oh, hi," you manage to reply, blush evident throughout your face.

"Um, did you get number 27 on the homework? I was super confused."

"Yeah, the equation for that one is different than the others because..." you explained the concept to Seungmin while he stared at your face unbeknownst to you. "Does that make sense?"

"Yes. I get it now!" He smiles and you actually die. You caught a glance at his homework to see number 27 done correctly but you were to affected by his smile to put two and two together.

All the days seemed to be same, passing by until it was finally Kate's birthday party. Obviously you went super early to help her set up. There was no alcohol allowed since her mom said she would let her throw it all by herself under that one condition, not that Kate would ever underage drink anyway we are good children here.

Kate left to answer the door as you pulled some cookies out of the oven. "Kate! Happy birthday!" You heard Felix's voice ring through the entryway. You weren't surprised she invited him, but then you heard more voices.

"Your house looks really nice."

"Happy birthday, Kate."

"Where should I put this gift?" Your eyes widened. You could recognize that voice anywhere.

"Kate! Can you come here for a moment?" You shouted for her.

"What's up, buttercup? Are the cookies okay?"

"I can't believe you invited Seungmin. Bro, I thought we were cool." You overreacted.

"Chill, y/n, all his friends are here, along with our friends. There's so many people, don't even worry about it." She tries to reassure you.

"Well... do I at least look okay?" You ask shyly.

"Look fine to me." You jump at the boy's voice. "But I suppose I'm not the one you want to look good for."

"Jisung, you scared the crap out of me," Kate smiles as you nearly died of embarrassment. Had he heard your whole conversation?

"No. Only the last part." He answers. It's only then that you realize you asked that out loud. You face palmed with bright red cheeks as more boys filed into the kitchen.

"Now that everyone is here, let's get this party started!" Kate announces as she turns on some speakers and blasts some upbeat music. She and Felix dance on the coffee table while everyone else is jumping around on the couches and dancing on the floor. The mess of people was starting to become overwhelming when you felt someone push you from behind. Unluckily, you fell directly into Seungmin's arms.

"Wow. Falling for me this early in the night. I hate to say I'm not surprised, y/n," Seungmin says in a low tone. "I'm just kidding," he quickly adds when he sees your eyes bulging out of your head.

"Oh, yeah. Right! Haha! So sorry I fell into you. There are so many people."

"Since I have you here, wanna dance?" He smiles again. How could anyone say no to his perfect smile?

"I'm sorry what was that?" He looks confused, like a puppy.

"I said yes!" You lie trying to cover up your thoughts that you must've spoken out loud, again. You and Seungmin begin to jump around, laughing. Kate gives you a knowing look which you return with a glare. Little did you know Felix and Seungmin were in the same boat.

"What else do you have planned?" Felix asks sounding very rehearsed.

"Hmm. Why don't we play truth or dare?!" Kate suggests. That was not on the schedule you had for the night's events. You knew something bad was going to happen when Kate smiled your way.

Everyone sat criss cross applesauce in a circle and Jisung volunteered to start. "Minho, truth or dare?"

"Dare." The boy responds with a brave look in his eye.

"I dare you to," he pauses, thinking of something good, "do a sexy dance for everyone."

"Pff. Okay." Minho continues to grind on the ground, not minding the looks he's getting at all. In fact, Jisung had to stop him, because it was getting too out of hand too quickly.

"I didn't dare you to strip, MinHOE!"

"Whatever, you know you liked it," he teased back. "Hmm let's see. Kate, truth or dare?"

"Uh, I'll pick truth."

"Do you like Felix?"

She furrows her eyebrows together, looking confused. "Felix and I are dating. So, to clarify, yes I like him very much." Everyone is so lost as to how they hadn't known that the two were official. I mean, y'all obviously could see that they liked each other duh. "Felix, truth or dare?"

"Dare." He adds a wink to Kate.

"I dare you to kiss me." The crowd shouts a bunch of ews and grosses as Felix briefly pecks Kate's lips.

He turns to Seungmin with a devilish look. "Seungmin, truth or dare?"

He must not have been paying attention yeah cuz he was admiring you face again whore because he is completely oblivious to the grin on Felix's face right now. "Why not? Dare."

"I dare you to kiss y/n" Felix sticks his tongue out at Seungmin as everyone turns to look at you. You tried so hard to keep your face from looking like a tomato but you knew it was no use. Seungmin gulped as he stared at you.

"I- I can't." His words made you frown without thinking. "Y/n, should have a say in this too. I can't just kiss her without her consent," he elaborates.

"Fine then," Felix speaks again. "I dare you to go up to Kate's room alone with y/n. Anything you two might do in there is all up to both of your consents." Felix smirks at you and then back to Seungmin. You both kept eye contact as you stood to head to your friend's bedroom. There were lots of hoots and hollers following you two as you made your way up the stairs with faces painted with crimson shades.

You both sat on Kate's bed. You face was on fire even more now because he was so close. When I mean close,, like your legs were nearly /touching/. And you can't handle being so /close/ to your big phat crush. However, the feeling seemed somewhat mutual for Seungmin.

"Do you like me?" You squeaked out. It was completely random and Seungmin even flinched slightly at the sound of your voice.

"..." the boy stayed silent and you refused to meet his gaze.

"ohmygosh that was so rude of me to just ask. I'm sorry. Just forget I said anything." You began to get up to walk away when he grabbed your wrist.

"Do you- like me?"

"..." it was your turn to mimick the silence you'd not heard moments earlier.

"Did we both not say anything for the same reason?" You opened your mouth to respond when the door opened, revealing Jeongin.

"I was told to come make sure you two weren't doing anything," he narrows his eyes on Seungmin, "gross." You both sat there like deer in head lights. Jeongin looked at your hand and then back at Seungmin. You hadn't noticed that Seungmin's and your pinkies had been laced until Jeongin's judgy stare pointed it out. "Also, you are both welcome to rejoin the party." The younger boy smiled and walked back down the stairs without a care in the world.

"Wow look who's back," Jisung announced. "You two didn't have too much fun did you?"

"Don't be icky!" Jeongin defended you. "They weren't even talking to one another when I walked in. But- they were basically holding hands!"

"Not true! He's lying!" Seungmin shouts back. You laugh, looking down to see that you, in fact still had your pinkies intertwined. You broke away and returned to your seat to continue the game.

"Anyway, it's my turn," Hyunjin claims. "Seungmin, truth or dare?"

"Me already again?" He looks a bit freaked out before taking a breath and choosing, "truth."

"Wrong choice, buddy. Do you like y/n?"

He makes deliberate eye contact with you as he answers the question. "Yes. Y/n, pick truth."

"Truth." Everything was happening so quick, you didn't have time to react to what Seungmin was even saying before you responded.

"Do I have your consent this time?" It took a moment for you to figure out what he meant. When you put together that he was asking if he could kiss you, you shook your head quickly. He wasted no time before softly pressing his lips to yours. They were sweet like honey and warm and soft and you thought you could get lost in the moment forever. That is, until he pulled away. It was much to soon for your liking, until you remembered where you were. You both looked around to see everyone's jaws dropped in shock. You timidly smiled and your friends began to cheer. They were soon followed by Seungmin's friends screaming, Jeongin in particular.

Needless to say, you remember very little of what happened after that moment at the party. All you do know is that your friends set you up and Seungmin's friends set him up and now you two are in love. Senior year sure was going to be interesting.

2. Do they have any titles? How did they get them?

Echo doesn’t have any official titles, and isn’t really planning on getting any, unless Champion of Sune counts?

4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?

Echo has a very good relationship with her moms! To their knowledge, things were a bit tense after leaving Ivydome, but plenty of letters and visiting when they could helped with smoothing over their relationship. A good memory would be when her moms taught Echo how to bake! They can really only bake cupcakes and cookies but theyre like. Hella good ones. They dont really have any bad memories with/of their parents, since like. They will forcibly forget or repress anything that upsets them, as long as it only affected them. If the memory is something bad that affected others it will linger for however long Echo deems necessary(read: an extremely long time)

6. What were they like at school? Did they enjoy it? Did they finish? What level of higher education did they reach? What subjects did they enjoy? Which did they hate?

They were there and graduated fantasy high school what more do you want from them jkdxxjndk. They started working at the local sweets shop after school, so no higher level of education here! They like history a bit, but that’s about it tbh!

8. Did they have pets as a child? Do they have pets as an adult? Do they like animals?

Yes! Echo had a pet cat back at Ivydome with her moms, and before the campaign she didn’t really have the money to keep another, so they settled for feeding and playing with the stray cats in Summervale.

10. Do they like children? Do children like them? Do they have or want any children? What would they be like as a parent? Or as a godparent/babysitter/ect?

Hmmm, Echo doesn’t mind children?? but there’s only so long they can be around them before she gets overwhelmed. Children like them well enough since Echo is always up for playing songs or messing around with cantrips. Echo would be the fun parent/godparent/babysitter, but. Please dont make them look after children they dont want any.

12. What is their favourite food?

Give my child spicy noodles or give him death

14. Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?

Their first cake made without supervision was. A disaster to put it lightly since someone was feeling ambitious.(it turned out like rubber and after that he was too flustered n frustrated to focus so everything else turned out badly too) So they dont bother with that anymore! Cake mistakes who i dont know her sdkjjkdbs. So half the time they pass by anything with some type of airy sponge cake they cringe lololol

16. Do they collect anything? What do they do with it? Where do they keep it?

She had a rock and shiny things collection back at Summervale! They’re mostly for decoration, although some with certain textures are used for stimming. Some rocks are kept on shelves, but most are stored in cool jars to save space

18. What’s their favourite genre of: books, music, tv shows, films, video games and anything else

Echo is a sucker for romance novels and fun, upbeat music! Idk if video games, films, or video games exist in-universe, but if they did, they’d like dramas and baking shows, rpgs, and more character focused games like nitw

20. Do they like musicals? Music in general? What do they do when they’re favourite song comes?

They love music, and they’d like musicals too! They will grab their lute and play along if their favorite song came on, and if nobody was around then maybe they’d sing too. Maybe.

22. What are their favourite insults to use? What do they insult people for? Or do they prefer to bitch behind someone’s back?

tbh their go-to insult is calling someone a prick or a bastard, and it’s usually for whenever someone’s done something particularly scummy. Or if someone is just. The Absolute Worst. It’s a leftover habit from when they used to live in Ivydome, but Echo usually sticks to talking shit when the target is. Very far away/not in the area.

24. What is their sleeping pattern like? Do they snore? What do they like to sleep on? A soft or hard mattress?

They try and get around six hours, to varying success, and to their knowledge they dont snore! Echo loves soft things and would prefer to sleep on a soft mattress with So Many blankets and pillows and maybe a cuddle buddy

26. How do they act when they’re happy? Do they sing? Dance? Hum? Or do they hide their emotions?

Fun fact echo does a tounge blep when she’s happy!! They tend to do lil happy claps and bounce up and down in place when they’re really excited, but when it’s a more calm-type of happy he purrs loudly and smiles a lot more than usual!

28. What is their biggest fear? What in general scares them? How do they act when they’re scared?

He’s claustrophobic and is terrified of being alone again or having to leave people behind even when the situation calls for it. So like. He aint copin too well after the last session! They get very flustered and panicked and freeze when theyre scared

30. Do they exercise? Regularly? Or only when forced? What do they act like pre-work out and post-work out?

Does going on champion quests and running from his problems count as exercise or???

32. What do they dress like? What sorta shops do they buy clothes from? Do they wear the fashion that they like? What do they wear to sleep? Do they wear makeup? What’s their hair like?

Crop tops with long sleeves, shorts, and boots make up most of their wardrobe and they love it. Theyd go to like the fantasy equivalent of marshalls i think? Somewhere with good deals and a lot of options. Overlarge shirts, tank top crop tops, and more shorts make up their pjs. They dont really wear makeup, mostly bc they touch their face a lot and it feels weird the whole time, but they wouldnt be opposed to wear a lil bit every now and then! Their hair is floofy and a bit of a controlled mess since they cut it themselves

34. What is their body type? How tall are they? Do they like their body?

Echo is 5’9”/ 175.26 cm! Theyre on the average side i think? Like theyre not super skinny but not fat either so just. Avergae. And yeah, Echo likes their body, theyre so bright! And their horns are so cute and having a tail is very handy and claw maintenance can be a bit of a pain but like. Aesthetic am i right folks

36. What are they good at? What hobbies do they like? Can they sing?

Hes good at playing the lute and generally being very cute and giving out good vibes, and he likes baking and playing music! They can sing, but really only do that when theyre playing their lute ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Echo admires passion and creativity the most, and dont let anyone from the party know but he wishes he could be just. A bit smarter and know what to say + ask. Theyd also really like to be able to make a decent genoise sponge too like theyre not picky

40. Do they like energy drinks? Coffee? Sugary food? Or can they naturally stay awake and alert?

Theyre a tea drinker all the way, and arent the biggest fan of sweet things. He used to use more tart or mellow flavors when baking. They def arent alert after being tired for a while, and will space out a bit

42. What are their goals? What would they sacrifice anything for? What is their secret ambition?

No secret ambitions here, Echo is an open book(unless they roll high on deception dvdjxb)! Becoming Sune’s champion, making a decent sponge cake, and protecting his friends with his life/in any way they can are all their current goals. Echo doesn’t care too much if they get hurt, so physical well-being and maybe mental are things they wouldn't mind sacrificing, but as a whole they don’t really want to think about what they’d have to give up. He’ll burn that bridge when he gets to it.

44. What is their favourite season? Type of weather? Are they good in the cold or the heat? What weather do they complain in the most?

If its cold, wet, or humid echo is not a happy camper lol. They prefer summer and the beginning of fall the most, and sunny days with lots of puffy white clouds are the best! They think its fun watching the clouds shadows on the ground. They’re better in hot weather than cold, since clothes for that type of weather are easier to dress for and they dont have to account for their tail or horns as much

46. Do they make a good first impression? Does their first impression reflect them accurately? How do they introduce themselves?

God i hope they make a good first impression im dying over here xjkxdk but honestly it depends! They try to make a good first impression and i think they usually do? But if theyve just finished with a job w the gang or theyre just. So tired they wont really introduce themselves at all. Its pretty accurate of how they are, and their go-to greeting is “I’m Echo Barquiel, a pleasure to meet you dearie~”

48. Do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organise the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?

In theory they’d like parties but being around so many people with that much noise for an unknown amount of time would not be. Ideal so smaller get-togethers with friends would be the most enjoyable! Echo doesnt really have the uh, space to host anything so theyd just turn up to other’s parties. Theyd be in a constant state of switching between ‘holy shit im so gay’ and ‘oh my god theres so many people/internal screaming’. If they were dragged to a party, theyd mingle for a leelte bit before stepping out

THE DANCE remember when i just mentioned how it makes you wanna bounce and sway WELL THATS BC theres a move in the chorus that does just THAT!!!!!! the moment i saw it i copied the move like I GOTTA IN FACT the choreography for the entire chorus is SO fitting like its just lots of hip and shoulder movement BUT it just feels so RIGHT- during yeeuns rap part theres a little bit of a move they did thats similar in their song ME and lowkey i thought that was cool!!

ok so i can see you being a main dancer and also the visual. you're pretty good at singing too but mainly ballads, contrary to your dancing skills which is better at upbeat stuff. theres also a 2nd visual in your group and they get a LOT of shit from fans for doing like. modeling gigs i guess or whatever the reasons ppl hate pretty people anymore. To say Theo Crain had been your first crush would be an understatement. It would also imply you’d had other crushes. You’d liked Theo before you even knew what liking someone really was. When you reached your teenage years, you realised it wasn’t just a childhood crush. Your feelings were here to stay.

However a part of you could never guess if she felt the same and you worried telling her how you felt would ruin your friendship. Maybe she didn’t like you like that, maybe she was into guys. You worried that if you told her, it might completely ruin things and as you’d been close friends for years, you really didn’t want to shoot your mouth off about your feelings and make things awkward between you.

You figured you’d tell her eventually, but you kept putting it off and off. One day but that day never came, eventually your final year of high school rolled around and you were convinced she had a crush on Harry.

One of the boys in your crowd, Harry was athletic, handsome and he and Theo would often be laughing in the corner over some secret joke so you acted like nothing was going on.

So when prom was fast approaching and your friends began pairing off, they started trying to pair you off. You kept coming up with excuses and reasons why you weren’t interested. The only real reason being you were by this point completely head over heels in love with Theo Crain. You didn’t want to go with anyone if it wasn’t the girl you’d loved since you were a kid.

One lunch, the week before prom, you were sitting outside with a group of girls were discussing in-depth who was going with who.

“Y/N, I can’t believe you don’t have a date yet,” Lyndsey, one of the girls from your English class exclaimed loudly.

You looked at the ground, wishing she’d shut up. “Ha yeah,” you muttered “I’m just going to go and meet my friends there yknow,”

“Oh come on,” she persisted “There’s plenty of singles at school” she paused.

You hummed “Mmm, no, I don’t really know,”

“Lyn!,” the girls friend interrupted “Leave her alone! If she’s cool with going alone, that’s fine,”

Theo who had been sitting but not really paying much attention, put her book down, stretched out and leant back on the grass.

“I’ll go with you,” she said. It was so casual, so laidback, that it caught you off guard. Your crush just casually suggesting you be each other’s date to prom.

You grinned “Sure, that’d be great, come over to mine at seven? I should be ready by then?” You probably sounded way too keen “I mean if that works for you?” You tacked on

Theo winked and you felt your knees go ever so slightly weak

“It’s a date,”

Theo arrived at yours just as you’d finished getting ready. Perfect timing as ever. You took a moment to check your lipstick one last time before smoothed down your new dress, slipped on your heels and headed downstairs.

She was waiting for you in your living room and she looked gorgeous in a navy blue dress stopping above her knees and she’d swapped out her usual black gloves for long white ones and you felt the heat creep up the back of your neck.

“Hey,” you smiled “you look great,”

Theo eyed you and let a smirk play on her face. “So do you! That colour looks great on you,”

You said goodbye to your parents and she led you outside to her dads blue 4x4 that she’d borrowed for the evening, her hand resting just on the small of your back as she helped you in.

When you arrived you were joined by the rest of your friends and made your way to the dance floor and you could feel yourself hot as you danced to the loud upbeat track with your friends, but you didn’t care. You were having too much fun.

The music slowly moved to a slower ballad and people began pairing off to slow dance. You stood alone for a moment before you felt a hand on your arm. You spun around and Theo was smiling softly at you.

“Hey prom date,” she grinned “wanna dance,” she offered you her hand.

You felt your heart skip a beat and nodded. Potentially a little too quickly. “I’m pretty bad though,” you laughed giving her a warning of your clumsy nature.

Theo took your waist “I’ll lead then” she smiled. You followed her steps, watching the lights dance across her face as you moved to the melody.

She caught your gaze and leant down and before you knew it she’d kissed you. You felt a rush of emotions bubbling to the surface as you reciprocated the kiss, pulling her closer to you.

“Hey hey, PG-13 people please” you heard the head teacher Mr Wallis call and you broke apart giggling.

You glanced around and saw a few other couples looking sheepish.

Clearly the music had gotten a more romantic reaction than the head teacher had expected

Theo met your eyes again and you managed to get your thoughts out in some semblance of a sentence. “You mean...you like me in...that way...I thought you and Harry were,”

Theo pulled a face “Harry? God no, he’s just my friend, plus,” she rose an eyebrow “I like girls,” she rested her forehead on yours “and I really like one girl in particular,”

“Me too,” you spoke softly and beamed at her, you pulled her back in for another kiss, arms snakes around her waist, not caring for Mr Wallis’ rules.

This was the best night of your life.
