How to heal and embrace it

You can heal your shadow when you'll balance yourself out. The inner child and the adult you, the lights and darks, the feminine and the masculine. I remember someone told me that archangels actually can transform in anything, like for eg. If you visualize any specific archangel in masculine energy they'll present to you as masculine energy. Ig your inner child is not much matured at a certain level. (Yes our inner child also have to mature to a certain level because before it, it's called immaturity or bratz energy) you do some kind of action out of excitement without calculating their consequences and then regret it afterwards. I don't have much to say because yk about your inner child way more better, or like I was also getting about "sadistic pleasure" and I also got that this reading is some kind of wake up call to you! It was triggering for me, when I was channeling but I calmed down myself. So from here I get this "wake up call" thing.

How to embrace it

Start seeing things from more of a third person perspective, or like from the perspective of others, like "what if the same thing happens with me?"

Here she is, Starlight Lapis!

She’s my Steven Universe gemsona. She’s a Lapis Lazuli gem and her wings are made of water, due to her hydrokinetic abilities. (I didn’t drew the wings because of my strained fingers.) Her gemstone is blue and located on her chest and it’s teardrop-shaped, smooth, and unfaceted with a golden star on it. It took 2 days to complete, and it’s TOTALLY worth it! 😮‍💨😎👩‍🎨🎨🖌🖼

This Week In "Time & Again" #9: LINEART IS DONE!!! And My Adventures With Krita Assistants! [Longread warning]

First things first! It took me a while (again) to make yet another one post, but taking a small social hiatus was totally and utterly worth it, let me tell you!!! Because here's the news:

THE LINEART FOR CHAPTER 5 IS COMPLETELY DONE!!! Yaaaaaay!!! 🥳

(happy cheering, happy music playing (my personal favourite is Skinny Puppy - very happy indeed), sounds of jolly hand clapping, and a cake, somebody please bring in the cake!.. wait... the cake is a lie... 😱 hmmm, every time I refer to this joke, I want to alter it and say, "A pie is a lie, but the cake is fake!" Personally, makes me happy, but also makes me sound a bit like Mad Hatter to everyone around😅 which is fine, I love "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland")

Not gonna lie, it feels like I spend a little bit more time on lineart alone comparing to what I've been expecting from myself: different factors have contributed to the delay, and among of them was a short-term loss of a creative spark as well (which is always incredibly unpleasant, yaaarrrr!), but nonetheless! It is done!!! And let me tell you - it is done in style 😎 Ich bin sehr froh 🥳 However, contrary to what I've just written above simply for fun, it's not time to celebrate just yet. I'll probably take a small 24 hour break from my project - to take a breather and recalibrate my brain to successfully switch to colouring mode, ya know - and I'll just keep working on it to keep up the pace! The Colouring Stage is waiting for me, wheeeeeee!!! ... Wait, but so happened I already had my 24 hours off drawing yesterday. 🤔 WELL, NO TIME TO SPARE NOW: BACK TO WORK!!!...

But only after I'm done writing this post, for I have a moral obligation to finish it up 😁

So, earlier I promised to share my experience with Krita Assistant Tool with you. This is going to be very technical, so prepare yourselves, happy folks. Here goes.

I've used Krita's Assistant Tool before. I started to use it quite extensively as the work on Chapter 2 began, for I had to represent strictly geometric shapes of rooms, and corridors, and even the whole floors, for almost the entire set of events was happening indoors. In a peculiar place. The entirety of Chapter 1 with the exception of, say, 2 or 3 panels at most, took place within Lothar's mansion in Sweden. That one also required quite a few geometric shapes, but for some reason I did well without any help of Assistant Tool - I don't remember for sure by now, but I only used it briefly for some panels/frames. And it did not require anything particularly complex then. Mind you, during the development of Chapter 1 I've been still learning my newly obtained graphic tablet - that was the first time I ever used one (and now I don't want to go back to neither mouse and keyboard drawing or a "blind" tablet - eff that! 🤣). In this respect, Chapter 2 was a game changer. I wanted to raise the plank further up and challenge myself to do even better with the perspectives of urban buildings and interiors. And since approximately that time, I believe, Assistant Tool has become a precious little helper for me. Thank you so much, Krita devs!

As you can see in the documentation, Assistant Tool has many features and different modes. I primarily use those tools to draw perfect - or almost perfect - urban perspectives, for those might be a bit tricky to do right off the bat. However, some of those tools might be used in a non-conventional or less expected ways. Let me show you some of my experiments with them.

Starting off with the basics, of course.

Above you can see the screenshot that illustrates how I used to normally set up the perspective assistant grid for the more correct view of a room - I've been doing that very thing beginning from Chapter 2. Basically I create a bunch of perspective grids and join them to create an imitated 3D view of a room. That really helps a lot.

I mentioned a certain video tutorial that really helped me out on my journey of meowstering - sorry, mastering the Assistant Tool in a way that's helpful to me. It was this incredibly helpful little video I watched trying to figure out how to build a one point perspective view for one of the panels I challenged myself to draw. However... I discovered something else instead: Parallel Rulers and an obvious "Snap To Assistants" function. Both of which are super helpful to use. I never paid attention to "snap to assistants" before. Now I wonder why 😅

Parallel Rulers help to draw totally straight lines when working on a perspective view - like the one that I was having a hard time dealing with when trying to portray an extremely skewed backstreet perspective. All of that is done without the use of the Line Tool.

While parallel rulers are something that I'm still learning and practising, the self-explanatory "snap to assistants" is an excellent function that just makes your life significantly easier.

I used a combination of Ellipse and Vanishing Point with "snap to assistants" function on to create spectacularly precise and nice looking sports wristwatch for Lothar. This is just how I love it: extremely geometric and correct, but with slight imperfections that make it lively and natural, with a visible hand-drawn "fluctation" to the outlines:

For example, here's a good comparison for you to see what I'm talking about: to the left it's a gif illustrating how I drew the wristwatch outlines with an Assistant with Ellipse setting that snaps to the assistants, and to the right there's a gif showing how to do the same (but way worse) simply using the separate Ellipse Tool using the same brush as an outline. Behold the difference:

For the record, I used the same neat trick to draw the nice lines around that "Hit!" special effect on another one page, to make it look cleaner and more professional:

Spline is yet another one type of assistant that might come in handy in certain situations, for some artists. In my case this time, I used it so add extra thickness to a certain line that has already been drawn to make it look more appealing and lively:

Thus, instead of trying numerous times to reproduce the same brush stroke (and inevitably failing at it repeatedly) to add just a little thickness to already existing stroke, one can simply draw a Spline "vector path" on top of it, turn "snap to assistants" on and draw a perfect, non-shaky line that doesn't stray somewhere you don't want to. Neat-o! If you're somewhat familiar with vector software (like I am), using Spline and making it exactly the shape you need is easy-peasy: it has two handles so that you could adjust the position and the curve of the assistant line. Works exactly as a basic Bezier Curve. Super simple!

That's gonna be enough for now. Since this post has grown fairly large in size (I never change, eh?), I'm thinking about taking a longer break in posting again. So I might return in about 2 weeks with more news on how the colouring of Chapter 5 is going!

I got my nipples pierced and I have some ✨thoughts✨

Here's the list:

1. Of the 7 piercings I now have, they were the most painful. First half of the needle going through is fine, second half is a purple nurple from Tartarus.

2. They were immediately the most aesthetically pleasing piercings I've gotten. Like, my Medusa looked funky at first due to the extra-long starting bar, my nostril was super red, and my conch was actually pretty decent albeit small, but my nipples looked like a million dollars out the gate 😍

3. They feel fine very quickly. It wasn't immediate for me like it is for some people, though; my nipples felt like they had been rubbed raw with sandpaper for about an hour or so but the pain subsided fairly quickly after that and I was able to sleep fine.

4. I'm already pretty sure I'm going to have more healing issues with my right piercing than my left. It has more blood around it and it also hurt more post-piercing.

5. I am now completely irresistible to my husband 😎

6. If I lose these piercings for some reason, I don't think I'll get them redone. I think the pain is worth it at least the one time, and maybe I'll feel different later on if something does happen. But for now it's definitely not something I need to experience ever again 🤣

7. On the plus side, every other piercing I get will probably feel like a piece of cake. I'm only planning on other ear piercings now so if I get my industrial done that might compare pain wise, but everything else should be more like my nostril or my conch. A pinch and then it's done, with some soreness for a couple of days.

8. I am well-endowed, so I'm worried about embedment more than anything else. Just gonna have to keep an eye on it 🤷🏼‍♀️

9. These were the piercings my ex-husband said would make him not want to touch me anymore. Now I'm entirely repulsive to him and I couldn't be happier. I've wanted these for almost a decade now, and I'm so glad I'm with a partner who not only encourages me to be myself, but genuinely enjoys and is only ever more attracted to me whenever I take steps towards being the person I want to be and present to the world. ❤️ I think these piercings were a major step in my healing process and will give me the confidence boost I've been needing

10. I feel like I have to have a 10 just to even things out. 😝 My 10th and final thought is that a year is sooooooooooo long to wait to change out the jewelry 😭 but my 2025 will probably start out with new bling so that's something to look forward to!

If you're thinking about getting nipple piercings and you're reading this, it's really not as bad as you think it'll be. ☺️ It hurts, like all piercings do, but if you go to a reputable piercer it will only really hurt for a combined total of, like, 5 seconds. The soreness after sucks but you can take Tylenol or Aleve and put cold compresses on your piercings and it's no worse than a mild scrape or cut. I thought it was very much worth it, and I'm excited for how it heals over the year! Starting 2024 out bravely 🥰

FULL ON FIRE 🔥 - 10th August, 2023

so i woke up at 9:42, scrolled on youtube till 10 am, and then took an hour to fresh up and organize everything. it was worth the time. now i just need to study. i'll start with physics. wish me luck!

it's 1:46, took me 1 hour and 57 mins to finish physics chapter 2 cq. i'll finish chapter 3 after lunch.

it's 6:04 pm, i just finished physics chap 3 which took me 1 hour and 46 minutes and chem chap 2 cq which took me 1 hour and 7 mins.

so in a total of 4 hour and 50 mins, i have finished 18 cqs… that's a huge achievement lol.

i'll take a nap now cuz i literally feel DRUNK right now and my fingers are STINGING from all the writing (writing for 5 hours straight is no joke man…)

but yeah at least i did something! i'm proud of myself!

after the nap, i'll wake up and literally speedrun the work. no chatting. i'll finish the work asap and then finish chapter 3 of chemistry.

i need to do that real fast too, cuz then i have to finish general math chapter 6, 14, and 15.

i'll be finishing these today, NO MATTER WHAT.

and then i'll consider higher math.

but if i have time left after general math but i don't wanna write anymore (cuz it's normal for my hands to be exhausted after so much writing) then i'll finish the mcqs of these chapters i have studied today. won't be much to do. and if i STILL have time left or i just wanna study more. then ig i will start general math mcqs cuz i have finished those chapters' cqs but haven't touched the mcqs.

- bro you guys are popping the biggest bottles, it is going to be a party of a life time. your life is taking a turn for the better, that’s something red believes deserves a full celebration. he’s not usually one for something so physically taxing, parties for him tend to be casually chilling with a flew close friends. to him, leaving behind a toxic environment is a great accomplishment, one he will happily get off his ass to celebrate.

- he’s usually a pretty frugal guy, he doesn’t like spending big bucks. not tonight though, he’ll wholeheartedly consider renting a limo if you’re down for it. he’s never been in one, but it sounds like a blast and a half. everything is on him, you aren’t paying for anything.

- if you’re not down for big celebrations, no big deal. something smaller he’d do is buy some take out from your favorite place, find a hill in the middle of nowhere, and set off some fireworks while y’all eat a good meal. if you’re cool with it, he’d probably pull up reviews on google of your old workplace and dramatically read them out loud, like your own personal roast sesh.

- good thing you quit your job. if you told edge any of the dirty details, it’s very likely he would have “taken matters into his own hands”. he’s very happy for you and absolutely believes this calls for a celebration.

- edge doesn’t have a lot of experience with parties, a fact he will expect you to be surprised by considering he is very popular and highly sought out, so he will keep things lowkey. with your permission, he will make a facebook post singing your praises and absolutely condemning your old workplace. a majority of his facebook friends are neighborhood moms who’s kids he babysits, so trust me, you have an army on your side.

- as much as he’d like to cook for you, he cooks for you every night, and celebrations should be special. he takes you out to the best fine dining restaurant he can find (if you check his google history he literally searched “BEST FANCY RESTAURANT NEAR ME”) and makes sure you’re well fed and well taken care of. he later buys you a gift, with advice given by said neighborhood moms, to show you how proud he is of you.

- he’s super proud and crazy happy for you, this is great. a new chapter in your life that will lead to bigger and better things. stretch’s idea of a celebration is driving past your old workplace and making faces at it. that’s what he calls catharsis. he definitely wanted to egg the building, and depending on how cool you are with that, the two of you do, or you easily shut him down.

- to celebrate, stretch bakes you a cake, whatever flavor you want. the two of you can run to the store and pick out the ingredients. even something as small as grocery shopping he makes a total blast. you’ve barely been in the store five seconds and you’re both leaning on each other in the freezer section, laughing so hard neither of you can breath.

- the cake celebration and party quickly devolves to the two of you dicking around in various stores. you know that part of the shopping cart that babies sit in? yeah, the whole thing ends when stretch gets stuck in one and you guys get kicked out. thankfully, you still have your ingredients, and his baking skills are spectacular. the cake was well worth the wait.

- mutt’s idea of a celebration would be something to do at home or somewhere quiet. parties are very loud and very crowded, two things that spell disaster for him sensory wise. he’ll order delivery, your choice, and you guys will have an epic movie marathon. over the past few weeks, he’s compiled a list of every movie you’ve so much as mentioned you wanted to watch and has (pirated) bought every single one.

- the two of you spend the night cuddling, although he makes sure to focus the affection on you by running his fingers through your hair or massaging your shoulders or scratching your back. whatever you want, he’ll do. he’ll even let you borrow his jacket for a day or two. it’s near impossible to get him out of it, its one of his comfort items, but he knows that a common thing in relationships is wearing your partners clothes.

- something small you could do is going outside and stargazing. the night sky is beautiful, it always helps him put life into perspective, and he’d like to share that with you. you guys make up your own constellations, giving them stupid names and laughing together until the sun comes up. it’s easy to forget to sleep when you’re having fun with someone you love.

Chapter 6 - Walls

“Oh my god, what did I just agree too?!” Changbin panicked, frantically pacing back and forth in front of Jisung, who was comfortably lounging on the couch.

“Calm down, hyung… you’re gonna be fine,” Jisung assured, “The questions that have been weighing down on you over the past few months will finally be answered.”

“You don’t know that! What if Chan wants to talk about something completely different? Or what if the answer he does give is nothing like we’re expecting and is totally irrelevant to my feelings? Having a normal conversation with him is hard enough, but talking about this?! I’m gonna be shitting bricks over this conversation, and there’s not even a sure guarantee that it will help any...”

“You’re right… there’s no sure guarantee that this will help, but you won’t know until you try. And just a reminder, but you’re your own person too though, hyung. If the conversation isn’t going the way you want, you can always bring up the topic yourself and tell him about how you’ve been feeling about it.”

“Did you not hear anything I just said?! I’m going to be a complete nervous wreck out of sheer anticipation of what Chan is going to say! How do you expect me to even begin to bring up the topic first?!”

“You just have to—”

Just as Jisung began to speak, he was interrupted by Changbin’s phone ringing and to no surprise, the caller ID revealed that it was none other than the devil himself, Chan.

“It’s him!” he panicked checking the time which read 8:51, “He’s early!”

“Well, answer it!” Jisung urged.

As he swiped his thumb over the screen to accept the call, he cleared his throat and held his phone up to his ear, “... H-hello…?”

“Hey, Changbin, I’m outside.”

“Yeah, um… o-okay, I’ll be right there…” Changbin stuttered before hanging up, his face now pale as he looked at Jisung expectantly, “What do I do?!”

“Changbin,” Jisung stated firmly and placed his hands on the older boy’s shoulders, “Just be yourself. Don’t be afraid to let down your walls, okay? The longer you hide, the more the burden will weigh on you.”

“The last time I let my walls down with him, I got screwed over.”

“He called you to talk, not to fuck. If he doesn’t have a good reason for what he did, he’s not even worth it… for either of us. Okay? It’s nothing to worry about, you got this!”

Changbin didn’t completely agree, but with his brain starting to malfunction, he ran out of things to say as Jisung walked him to the front door. Giving Changbin a quick pat on the back, Jisung retreated to his room so the two could be alone and talk freely with each other. Changbin hesitated to unlock the door, the sound of his heart pounding in his ears as his hand hovered over the lock. With one last deep breath, he finally willed himself to unlock the door and pull it open, instant butterflies filling his stomach as he came face to face with his longtime crush.

“Hey,” Chan greeted with a feigned smile.

Changbin, still void of words, greeted him with a simple bow of his head before stepping aside to let him into the small dwelling. He led him silently to the couch where they sat awkwardly for a few minutes, not looking at each other nor exchanging any words, that is until Chan finally broke the ice.

“How are you?” he asked abruptly, his voice not filled with his usual confidence, but his tone had some life to it nevertheless, “Or how’ve you been? Jisung told me you were sick a few days ago.”

“How do you think I’ve been?” Changbin replied, a little harsher than Chan expected.

“I’m sorry,” he answered with his head hung in defeat.

“For?”

“Everything.”

“Wow, such an ‘authentic’ apology.”

“Changbin…” Chan whined under his breath, cupping his face into his hands as he figured out how to carry on the conversation. Though he should’ve, he hadn’t really thought about what exactly he was going to say to Changbin and he also hadn’t considered how Changbin was going to react throughout the whole situation. He wasn’t sure if it was the best idea, but on a whim, he decided to just get straight to the point. No amount of small talk could make the situation less uncomfortable than it already was and he just wanted to get the weight off his shoulders as soon as he could. The elephant in the room was becoming far too unbearable so after a long silence, Chan spoke again, “Do you regret it?”

Of all things for Chan to say, that was the last thing Changbin was expecting, so he sat bewildered for a second, wondering what it was Chan was trying to get out of such a question. “...Do you?” he replied and for the first time during their entire awkward exchange, he turned to look at Chan.

“I asked first.”

Letting out a disappointed sigh, Changbin answered, “No, I don’t.”

“Damn… I had a feeling you’d say that, but still, ever since that night I refused to believe that you didn’t.”

“Why?” Changbin furrowed his eyebrows.

“Because… I do,” Chan scoffed, shaking his head, “I regret that I did something so careless and irresponsible as your leader, and I regret that I let my feelings get so out of check that I just… slept with you.”

Changbin felt hurt hearing that he and Chan had differing feelings about their night together, though he understood his point. He knew that being an idol and particularly, being the leader of an idol group was no joke, and the responsibility that came with it was gruesome. It’s a big title to uphold and any issues or scandals, especially ones involving relationships, could mean bad news for not only him, but the whole group… the company even.

“When you say feelings…” Changbin started, a little hesitant to continue, but his curiosity prodded him enough to resume, “Do you mean that… you liked me? Or do you just mean wanting to have sex with me?”

“I wouldn’t have wanted to have sex with you if I didn’t like you, Changbin,” Chan stated matter-of-factly, though, a hint of surprise was burried in his tone, “Did you think I just initiated that for fun?”

“You sure as hell made it seem that way…” Changbin trailed off, “Did you really have to go and ignore me afterwards? Why couldn’t you have just talked to me back then and told me that as the leader, you weren’t comfortable getting involved in a relationship? I would’ve understood.”

“I honestly don’t know, I’m sorry, Changbin, really. I made a lot of dumb decisions at the time because in the spur of the moment, the guilt was eating me alive and I just logically couldn’t think of the right thing to do. Part of me knew I’d be hurting you, but for some reason, I felt that avoiding you was the only way to get over what happened. But then the guilt of hurting you started adding on to the guilt of everything else, so after a while, with so much weight piling up, I just ended up ignoring everything, my feelings included. I let myself grow numb to all the pain, and initially, the ignorance was a bliss; I was more focused on my work than ever before and I was able to get a lot of shit done for the group, but then things started happening with Jisung. I don’t know if he realizes it, but he’s terrible at hiding his feelings. The fact that he liked me was pretty damn obvious for a while before he came out to me, but I didn’t really believe it until then. I thought that my imagination was possibly deceiving me and that I could be looking too deeply into the signs, but when he came out... that was a huge reality check for me. Not long after that, we went to the amusement park together and then the next day, he told me you guys fought… I didn’t know for sure, but my gut feeling told me it must’ve had something to do with me so guess what? The guilt I’d been suppressing came back to haunt me again, and well, that’s why I’m here.”

“Oh right, Jisung. So what's up with him? For someone who isn’t looking for a relationship you seem awfully close with him.”

“I don’t even know anymore… somewhat of a coping mechanism maybe? Everything after the Christmas party has just been so downhill for me that I’ve just been doing whatever I can to get my mind off of it all, but in the end, nothing really works.”

“So, you’re using him?”

“No, I have feelings for Jisung… but again, I have the same guilty feeling that I had with you. I wasn’t intending for anything to happen between us, but his feelings for me were so painfully obvious. I’d always admired him as a person for his talent, looks, personality… so naturally, I caved, and from there, things have just been continuously escalating, starting with our time at the amusement park. I really meant for it to be a bonding time for all three of us, but Jisung told me you were sick and I think with how he feels about me, he immediately saw an opportunity for us to spend time alone together and well…”

“I don’t want to hear anymore,” Changbin interrupted, his chest starting to tighten as his mind drifted to unwanted images of Chan and Jisung together and all the things they might have done that night.

“I’m sorry… I just wanted to be honest with you about it.”

Though the conversation was providing some resolve, it wasn’t quite the resolve Changbin was looking for. All he learned was that Chan is human, just as human as he and Jisung are, he too had personal feelings about things that caused him to make mistakes, feel guilt, have regrets, yet, amidst it all he was still trying to do the right thing and be a good person. Even though his choices sometimes hurt, Chan always had everyone’s best interest in mind and maybe that’s why it was so hard for Changbin to let him go; maybe that’s why he still couldn’t let go. That’s why he fell for him in the first place and why he couldn’t hate him after he left. Chan almost always has good reason for his decisions, but Changbin convinced himself otherwise to ease the pain.

“I support you and Jisung,” Changbin finally spoke up, the agony laced in his words way too apparent for Chan’s liking, “You don’t deserve to be with someone like me anyways. I’m just a pessimist who always thinks the worst of every situation and every person. I held a grudge and even tried to hate you after what you did, convincing myself that you used me. And then I told Jisung that you were using him too, which is why we ended up fighting.”

“That wasn’t even the point of the conversation. This is supposed to be about us, not my relationship with Jisung.”

“There is no ‘us,’ Chan?! What do you even mean?” Changbin argued, standing up from his place on the couch, “It’s just you and Jisung now. You moved on and that’s that. Sure, it sucks, but I’ll deal with it. Hearing from you helped me to stop villainizing you, so thanks.”

The longer the conversation dragged on, the heavier Changbin’s chest and lungs felt. There was no doubt that Changbin was still jealous of Jisung, maybe even more jealous now that he’s heard both sides of the story, and it definitely wasn’t helping his illness by any means, any thoughts he had of this conversation serving as some kind of potential cure having slipped away long ago. He could feel that he couldn’t, or rather shouldn’t hold back much longer, the pain that accumulated in his upper half starting to become unbearable, but he didn’t want Chan to know… he couldn’t. He didn’t want to jeopardize or interfere with Chan’s relationship with Jisung anymore; he vowed to himself that he’d support them, but if Chan found out about his lingering feelings… he knew Chan wouldn’t be able to let that slide.

Chan was observant enough though, to see through Changbin’s facade, the pain inscribed on his face and displayed in his body language sparking concern in the older boy. “Are you okay?” he asked worriedly, quickly approaching him and placing a comforting hand to the small of his back.

“No,” he answered, tears in his eyes as the last drop of control he had over his body’s natural response to his feelings finally slipped away. Pain ruptured through his body as the blue iris petals burst past his lips, the agonizing groan that followed causing Chan’s heart to break as he watched Changbin slump to the floor.

“Changbin...” Chan gasped as he knelt down next to him and wrapped a comforting arm around his limp figure.

“I’m sorry…” Changbin whimpered, his head hung as heavy tears rolled off his cheeks and plopped onto the hardwood floor that was now decorated with a plethora of iris petals, splattered with deep crimson stains, “I couldn’t get over you.”

Soft fingertips brushed beneath Changbin’s chin, tilting his head upward, just slightly before his lips were met with another pair of wet lips that lingered for only a brief moment before pulling away. “I never said I was over you.”

Changbin’s eyes widened, both at Chan’s words and his actions. He felt nothing but utter disbelief towards him and quickly pushed him away before snapping. “What are you doing?! You expect me to believe that?! I don’t need your pity!”

“You know I wouldn’t lie to you…” Chan replied defensively.

“How can you tell me so proudly that Jisung’s feelings for you were so damn obvious and then come here and fucking kiss me?!” Despite how much his lungs were suffering from his earlier flare, Changbin was too consumed by rage to stop himself from going off. “You, more than anyone, should know how crazy he is about you! Do you know how upset he’ll be when he finds out? I hope you didn’t think I’d keep it a secret from him because if you don’t tell him, then I definitely will! He deserves to know that you’re a two-timing, worthless piece of shit! ”

Changbin’s rampage was soon interrupted by the sound of a door opening, both heads immediately turning toward the source to see what it was. “Is everything okay?” Jisung asked worriedly as he hesitantly stepped out of the confinement of his small room. It didn’t take long for him to spot Changbin slumped on the floor with dozens of blue petals scattered on the floor in front of him with Chan sitting on the ground next to him. His wide eyes met Changbin’s briefly before darting over to Chan’s, unable to react to the fact that Changbin’s secret was now disclosed. “W-what happened?”

“Tell him,” Changbin muttered, his head hung as he trembled in pain from yelling earlier. Though he spoke quietly, he knew Chan was close enough to hear him, but still, he said nothing, continuing to sit in silence while Jisung approached them in hopes of an explanation. His lungs were begging for mercy from the pain and overexertion, but Changbin wouldn’t allow Chan the luxury of hiding yet again, not from Jisung. All Jisung ever did was love his hyungs and he always did whatever he could to help them; he didn’t deserve to go through the same excruciating fate that Changbin suffered. He refused to let that happen. So with his last bit of strength, Changbin tightly gripped Chan’s bicep and yelled at the top of his lungs, “Tell him what you did!”

His harsh words were followed by a fit of coughing and more petals trickling past his lips. Tears streamed down his face as he breathed in gasps, the only way he could breathe despite how much it hurt and soon, his vision began to tunnel. In that moment, he hated that he was human and that he was too weak to bear the pain his disease bestowed upon him, both physically and emotionally, that as hard as he tried to fight for his consciousness, his body just couldn’t handle it anymore and he ultimately failed.

Thankfully, feeling how Changbin’s grip on him was starting to loosen, Chan was quick to notice the fainting spell and caught him before his head could hit the floor. Jisung couldn’t help but gasp and kneel next to the two, helping Chan to support Changbin’s limp figure.

“Help me lay him on the couch,” Chan spoke, his tone of voice weak and more monotone than he’d ever heard Chan speak in his life.

Jisung only nodded, each boy slinging an arm around their neck to lift Changbin off the floor and shift him onto the couch, adjusting his limbs to lay comfortably on the cushions. Taking one of Changbin’s hands into his own, Jisung held it up to his face as his lips quivered, trying to swallow the lump forming in his throat before speaking. “He’s getting worse…”

Chan couldn’t bring himself to respond, the guilt of hurting Changbin and lying to Jisung making it hard for him to keep his composure. The heavy atmosphere in the room was just too suffocating and he needed to escape. “I…” he started before taking a deep breath to calm himself down, “I should get going…”

There was a silence after he spoke, Jisung internally debating if he should ask again what had happened between the two of them or not, but seeing as Chan was extremely distressed, he felt maybe it’d be insensitive to ask now. Though he wouldn’t ask about the details, Changbin’s last words before passing out continuously repeated themselves in his head, ‘Tell him what you did.’ He wanted to let it go, but his curiosity was getting the better of him; he just needed to know that one thing.

“Chan…” Jisung addressed quietly, his eyes remaining fixed on Changbin, “What did he want you to tell me?”

Jisung’s words hit him like a bullet to the chest. He honestly hoped he’d evaded that question, thinking Changbin’s episode created enough tension and distraction to move on from it until another time. He wanted to answer, he really did, but with the events that played out and the weight he felt on his heart, he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. Letting out a defeated sigh, he spoke, “I’m sure he’ll tell you,” and with that, he made his way towards the door, each step growing increasingly heavier as he finally made his long awaited escape.

“FUCK!” Chan cursed the moment he stepped out of the apartment door, angrily scuffing his foot against the carpeted floor before crouching onto the ground and finally letting himself fall apart. Why the fuck did I do that?! was all he could think to himself as tears streamed down his face, legs held tightly against his chest with his head buried in his knees.

Love triangles are always messy enough as it is when the lead has feelings for one and not the other, but what happens when the lead has feelings for both? He knew from the start that it’d just be a set up for failure, so he tried to suppress his feelings and pursue only one, Jisung, but with the pressure of Changbin’s feelings and his illness being added to the picture, he crumbled in the blink of an eye. He hated to see either of them hurting, but it seemed hurting them was all he knew how to do and now, he’d just dug his own grave and getting out would be an insane challenge.

The drive back to his own apartment was silent, Chan not even having the will to put on some music in his car. He wanted to dwell in his thoughts and think deeply about what he’d done so he could possibly figure out a way to fix it. By the time he returned back home, he had mostly calmed down; he was able to stop crying at least and he was able to think a little more logically without interference of his emotions, but of course, he still felt like shit.

The first thing he did when he got back, was make an A-line straight to his bedroom to update his diary on the chaotic turn of events that had just played out. He’d been keeping a little diary for a quite a while now, as it served as another coping mechanism for him, helping him suppress his feelings while he was out doing his normal everyday things. It allowed him a means to vent and just let everything out when things weren’t going well, which seemed to almost always be the case nowadays, and once he got his thoughts out in his diary, it was easier to stop thinking about it for at least long enough to go about the day without any issues.

“Dear Diary,

You’ll never guess how bad I fucked up this time...”

About thirty minutes had passed when Changbin finally stirred, his consciousness steadily starting to come back to him. Jisung, who was resting his head on the couch whilst sitting on the floor, was immediately alerted by the movement and quickly sat up to check up on his hyung.

“Changbin?” he addressed quietly as he placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, “You awake?”

He only mumbled in response, his eyes slowly beginning to open as he carefully sat himself up. “What happened? Don’t tell me talking to Chan was all a dream,” he half joked, his voice raspy as he rubbed his eyes.

“It wasn’t,” Jisung spoke as he let out a brief chuckle, “You passed out though…”

“Shit…” Changbin groaned, disappointed that the conversation didn’t end so smoothly. He remembered the beginning of the conversation, Chan asking him if he regretted it and talking about his relationship with Jisung… he remembered his hanahaki episode but after that, things seemed to be a bit of a blur. He just remembered being angry.

“Um…” Jisung started a little hesitantly, “I don’t mean to be so straight forward, especially after you just woke up… but something happened that you wanted Chan to tell me…”

Then, it hit him. His eyes widened as the memory of Chan became more vivid, making him gasp and mutter under his breath, “Chan kissed me…”

His voice was quiet, yet audible enough for Jisung to hear, though, he didn’t really want to believe his ears. “W-what?” Jisung asked again for confirmation, really hoping on the inside that he’d misheard... but he didn’t.

“Chan… kissed me.”

So I probably shouldn't have started off my challenge chat with gianna "aren't you from that game a year ago?" 😆 Because she definitely did not remember me WHOOPSIES.

Gabriela is gone! But was she ever here 😂 I have doubts, America. Anyways I'm gonna demolish this 😎 and if I don't I need to be disowned lol. Word games go hard in my family granted I haven't personally played them in a while but losing this challenge would still be a disgrace 😂😂😂 so I better win at Boggle. Alliances wise I'm feeling good about Bobby and Amy (and Danny in Quad Unexpected) but I should talk more to Els and make an effort with Tyecha I feel like it can't hurt to have secondary alliances 🤷🏽 let's get messy!!

Woo hoo we are all still intact on my tribe. I’m sad about the removal but the game must go on and part of me was afraid that I was going but I’m glad I’m still here!!!! Let’s see how well I do on the next challenge!

Okay I'm like totally indifferent that gabriela went home like she literally never showed up but I did want the other side to lose someone first. I hope this challenge goes okay. Els is paired with Ava and said they'd pass along my hellos. My tribe definitely quieted down today I am having to check myself before constantly talking haha I don't want to spool them there are quite a few new players. But luckily it seems at least for now everyone is cool with me. I don't actually want to be in a group with Danny haha he's a wildcard in this game. But everything else seems fine. I'm confident in my group with Elle and Bobby. And I believe I'll be starting a group with els and Megan. And I think I am the one talking most with tyecha and jasmine and Jessie so we will see where the pieces fall when they fall because I genuinely like everyone. I do wish people would stop moving black chess pieces though haha!

I'm very relieved, and yet still very anxious. I want to do well, and yet I know I'm coming in with a generational disadvantage, and the fact that the vote yesterday wasn't unanimous concerns me that I might have been on the block. Also and what I didn't consider is that it's very hard to *read* people in a virtual environment. I'm trying my best and being nothing but myself, but how is that going over? Am I seen as annoying, a try hard, a threat? There are some people I trust more than others. Some I just don't know. Time will tell.

Thank God we have immunity because last time all kinds of names were going everywhere and I’m wasnt really sure what was gonna go down, which is a bad bad feeling in this game. I think boggle was a great way to make connections on the other side (wink wink) and I hope I’m not playing too hard because I definitely yell at my TV when someone’s playing too hard.

I’m so happy we won our first immunity challenge!!!! I actually thought if we were to lose again that I would be on the bubble because I lost again and felt like oh no not again! But I’m so happy because I can connect with the tribe more so let’s gooooo!!!

So it's post tribal, I did one of the better scores on my team. Luckily, I'm in a 4 person alliance with the others who did better and we're aiming to rope in a 5th or 6th person just to simply the vote for us. We'll see.

If I lose, I really do think it'll be on the social aspect... And I crushed the immunity challenge, so I got to prove my worth after feeling weak in the other one.

I’m the most upset that we one the first challenge and yet we are still about to go down 2 people. Why did we have to have a ghost.

So I’m in a spot. And I’ve been really trying to limit my messaging haha like barely checking in with people. I was on call with Els who said “everyone likes you” and my response was literally “oh no 🤦‍♀️“ haha they were like it’s not a prop Len this early in the game ha. But then immediately after Bobby was like Jasmine said she’s closest to you and Els likes you. And if we already have a 4 of Danny Elle Bobby and me…. Listen I’m trying to be closest with everyone out here without having them reveal that haha 😆 I’m just trying to be a nice person this time round and I am worried I already put a target on myself for being nice and people liking me and then raffy suggesting the advantage puts a target on me lol I was literally just trying to avoid tribal I hate tribal. Anyway apparently they can vote me out and still keep my advantage but imagine how rude that would be. I don’t think I’m in danger rn but who knows how this will end.

I think Bobby is a lot better at this game than he is letting people believe. Someone said I’ll video call Bobby if he knows how. Like besties he’s not 80 he’s out here using reactions, quoting, tagging people, and really knows survivor. And everyone loves him. I might take a small step back so he becomes the bigger social one.

So I lost at Boggle even though had I played against literally anyone else on either team I would've won. We won the Boogle immunity challenge. Great! But let's rewind a little bit, shall we? So before the announcement of the results of the first IC there are two people I haven't spoken to in out tribe, which are Nasir and Giana. So we lost, and everyone knew Giana got the lowest. Now, I'm not the kind of person who base my vote on a challenge performance, but then again I haven't really spoken to Giana. So when most of the people I have talk to mentioned her name as an option, I was like, great! I'm down! Let's do that. But then, there is something fishy going on, Giana knew she is probably going home, but she is not messaging me. So I was thinking, is she making some moves against me? Or does she have an idol? We haven't spoken. I don't know who she have already spoken. What if everybody votes her out and then she pulls out and idol. I could probably be her target, why wouldn't I? She never have spoken to me. So I decided to message her before casting my vote, just so she knows she can work with me, that she can have an ally in me. But it was just a casual chitchat, we haven't really connected. So I was still voting her out. And so I did. And then went to sleep. The next day I woke up to a different plot. Now this is where it gets interesting. Tim, remember Tim my "number 1", so Tim, told me we should vote for Emily instead. And I was like, WHY??? I have a few convo with Emily, although we never really talk about gameplay, so I am totally fine voting her out, but we have something we can work with. So I'd rather really vote for Giana. And then Tim told me that apparently, Jessica created an alliance with everyone besides me, Nasir, Pule and Giana. And apparently, they were voting for Giana. So I was reading the names, and I was like, this list seems familiar. Oh right, this is exactly the same people me and Melisa agreed to, to make alliance, except I was not on that alliance. So Melisa? Hello????? What happened girl? I thought we were cool. And Jessica too, I thought we were good. She is sending me pictures of the view that she went to and then this? What is going on here? Are you just randomly looking for photos in the internet that you can send me so that I will think that "oh, she really is such a nice person, chu chu whatever"? So Tim, told me, if we vote Giana, then it has a high probability that either me, Pule or Nasir goes home the next time we lost an IC. Me, and Pule. Pule, my number 1. No. That is not happening, so I was like, okay. Let's do this. Let's vote Emily out. Ava, Nasir, Jester, Pule, Giana, me and Tim, we all did vote for Emily. Except I don't really know because plot twist, someone from the witch tribe got eliminated due to inactivity. Which is great, but I would have love to see the votes. I still do chat with Melisa and Jessica from time to time, but I can already feel something between them. I don't know, I would love to vote them out next time. And here is the funny thing, if Emily indeed get voted out that tribal, we are down to 9, that means Jester will play the challenge, that means we probably have lost. Also let us not forget what a beat Emily, Pule and Melisa are in that challenge. Good for them, and Pule way to make yourself a threat. Two challenges in a row. And oh, I'm not done yet, so Tim, also told me that he found an advantage, which is that he can call someone and ask about all the alliances. I don't know if he is just playing with me to get me confess that I indeed have a different alliance, because Nasir, apparently would like to play this game with me, Pule and Jester. I don't know exactly what to do with this information for now. But you know what, my strategy going on, is making sure that every advantages that I know of works in my favor. So good for you Tim, go hunt for another idol/advantage. Although I am getting closer and closer to Tim and farther and farther with Pule. So this for now I am definitely riding my alliance with Tim, Ava and Pule because I really do like the 3 of them. Ok, that's my rant for now. Good night.

I was going to suggest Boggle tricks and tips but I thought it's not worth it because 1, idk it might paint a target on my back and 2, I don't mind if we lost this one HAHA AGAIN I just want to really test the relationships I have and I'm still confident enough I'm not going home yet. Anyways I KILLED that Boggle battle with my opponent (sorry girl you just faced the wrong opponent). I wasn't expecting Raffy to announce like the scores, I thought he would just go over who won for each round. BIIIITCH everyone knew my score which is like really high AND I'M SCSRED Y'ALL. They might be looking at me now as like a challenge threat or something AND ISTG I PROMISED MYSELF I was going to lay low pre-merge. Threat management is hard to do because we only get to know the results at like 9 PM like you won't know how did everyone truly do at the challenges until the results. ISTG at the next immunity challenge I'm going to throw mine because I don't want to be a standout challenge threat. And I also have to keep my social game in check so that they will overlook my threat as a challenge beast and keep me because they can trust me.

I just want to make one last confessional since I got the boot . That unanimous vote was kind of nasty but it was also a smart move considering how well I did in blood versus water. I know most of them didn’t know that info being newbies but it’s going to be interesting to see how this season ends up going . I’m personally rooting for Jasmine, Els and Amy. Anyways my time in the game was really short and I guess I’m the first actual boot which is sad but yeah it’s a game ❤️ So gl you guys

This Week In "Time & Again" #8: Achievement (Almost) Unlocked! And A Pre-New Year's Mess

Does it ever happen to you that you're so energetic, and hyper, and full of determination and all - and then you take a deep breath, sit down happily on your comfy couch, and you're ready to start writing a new and lovely blog post!.. ... but then you realize you have absolutely nothing to write about. Or - perhaps, to be more precise - you feel like there's nothing worth mentioning that would make an interesting, succulent, and informative post.

That happens to me once in a while - which is odd, considering how much of a babbler I tend to be when it comes down to self-expression in written form (it must be, Lothar affects me in a certain way and alters my usual behaviour, because normally in my life outside any artistic activities I am fairly quiet).

The aforementioned little hiccup on my way of the "ultra-completionist of the Pre-2024 To-Do List", unfortunately, hindered my progress, and the final number of the blog posts ended up a tad smaller. I don't think there are any complaints from the readers though 😎 I'll try to keep up next year. On a side note, one of the goals on the list has been removed and deliberately postponed until January. I have reasons, trust me 😁

But most importantly, Christmas season of "Time & Again" turned out to be pretty good! Just as planned, at this point of time, just a couple days short of 2024 (because I started writing this post yesterday), The Lineart is 98% done - it only needs a sparkle of perfection and and a short session of filling up the gaps and missing spots here and there on different pages. AND DONE. Moving on to The Colouring Stage right after all of that has been properly handled. (oops, unintentionally, I lied: I already started to partially colour some peculiar things... too excited; can't hold back, LOL!) I would say, this is truly a great achievement. Well... almost got an achievement anyway. Working on your grand project every day, little by little, and watching it growing, evolving, and getting fleshed out a little more day by day is hard to describe in a verbal form. I wonder about this sometimes... Perhaps, those who have never been in a similar situation will not understand this emotion very easily. But I'm telling you with 100% honesty, as usual - this emotion is priceless and really makes you feel that you're doing something important in life.

So, in short, everything goes steadily and as planned. Plans change sometimes - but that is totally fine. Currently, everything is indeed as planned - and I can't help but rejoice 🥳

As a treat for reading yet another one of my excessively talky talky longreads, I'll tease you with some rather unpredictable snippets now ;)

Just who are those guys???.. And what's the situation??? They sure look feral! You will definitely find answers to all of these questions after Chapter 5 is released sometime in 2024 ;)

... In the meantime, as I've been working on a peculiar troublesome background, I have discovered a handy option in Krita's Assistant Tool that I believe has a possibility to make my life easier in the future. I used Assistant Tool before, and quite profusely. But thanks to a certain video I came across, I happened to find out that there's more to that incredible tool. I'm excited to cover this topic in the next blog post, so stay tuned!

How do you like the funny lettering???!!! 😁 Those are not stickers, by the way (although that's certainly a good idea to turn those into stickers!.. That'd be a story for another day tho). Why those are needed - that I'll keep a secret for now. But I wanted to show you what they look like - especially when cluttered altogether, hehe. Also, obviously, this is not the final version of each one of those sound effects bubbles. There's more work to do eventually 😉

For now... let there be silence. In a bit over 24 hours, the calendar will show 2024 on this side of the globe. So I'll stop typing right now and I'll save more stories for later. ... I'm also wrapping it up for today with my ridiculous habit to scatter vaguely related song references across the text, so, yup - time for a small break 😅 (And I should also take a break from listening to Ultravox on repeat, otherwise my non-existent vinyls are gonna get non-existent holes in them... wait... how does that work exactly, again?..)
