Okay now I'm interested in how Entity-aligned businesses make money. The Institute is an academic organisation that relies on donor money. The Circus of the Other has been out of business for decades, so where is the Stranger getting its money from?

It's cool to me that the Stranger is manifesting its uncanniness through eyes, something that belongs to its polar opposite. But unlike Beholding, the Stranger's eyes are scary because they are artificial and unseeing rather than all-seeing. And, of course, skin works its way in there as well.

It's also extremely great that this statement-giver made himself basically immune to the Stranger by simply deciding to not be weirded out by it. Mind over matter babey! The bad vibes can't hurt you if you ignore them!

Yeah, is Daniel selling skin/taxidermy to other Strangers who need it for whatever fucked up nonsense they are pullling? Or to avatars of other Entities who need it for... unknown reasons? Or to regular people who have no idea how bad things are about to go for them?

yvette is the ideal driver (: they generally follow the rules but they're also fine with toeing the line. they can also be your getaway driver in the event you need to run from the cops. they make sure everyone has snacks and water on road trips and has hand-selected the best driving tunes.

trahearne is the BORING driver. he follows all traffic laws to the letter. he has no imagination. being behind the wheel is so so scary. too scary. WHY do you keep braking. WHAT is wrong with you. he is the worst getaway driver because he would have a heart attack.

lukas is the worst driver. he driving is like a maniac. its a miracle he still has a license. this guy is speeding like he's outrunning the elder dragons. he is multi-track drifting. the gods are dead and lukas ran them over with his car. he could also be your getaway driver, but you dont want him to.

this is actually a harder question that i thought.

on one hand, trahearne isn't the best cook and is the most likely to set something on fire on a regular day. BUT in my head he's the best at functioning without sleep (its the insomnia babey!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and will at least make a decent box mac n cheese at 3am

meanwhile the twins are both cranky when they don't get their beauty sleep <3. lukas is only marginally better than yvette at sleep-deprived stove operation bc he wouldn't purposely set things on fire when they annoy him. lukas would start falling asleep cooking scrambled eggs and they get. crispy.

yvette is the worst at cooking with little sleep bc they would just skip the stove altogether and either start cooking food with volatile magic or gnaw on cold salami in the dark. assuming they woke up in the middle of the night hungry, that means they are hangry and will NOT wait around to make a nice meal like they normally do. they are committing affronts to the divinities.

best to worst at dancing?

yvette is the best dancer!!!!!!!! lukas is a very close second, but yvette is more graceful and confident in their body than lukas is. sorry lukas.

lukas is a very good and polite dancer in a ballroom setting. a wonderful lead in a waltz. he is absolute dogshit if you bring him clubbing. he will awkwardly shuffle a few steps. maybe do a little shimmy on a good day. but he would rather die.

trahearne would step on your toes a lot and apologize every time but he's got the spirit!!! he is a distant third when it comes to dancing, but not for lack of trying.

Today on DND madness that has made the party question my well being-

Lore was dropped in the latest tyranny session that I feel you all should know

WISH. Gods/godlike entiti3s get their power from the wish spell. Stronger the god, stronger the wish with the strongest coming from primordials which are the gods that are responsible for the very foundations of the frostfire created universe.

Wish hunters go after these beings to try and obtain a primordial wish in order to upsurt the order and remake the world in their image under their Matron.

One of our party members is a child of Tiamat. His name is Luka he is BABEY. He almost died and was shown to have a wish spell

Meanwhile. Evelyn (my character) who is a god as well (heavily nerfed the poor girl doesn't know half of her abilities) didn't seem to drop a wish.

It could be that she comes from a different universe entirely (cough the archaosverse a different writing project go check some of the stuff out at UmbraProductions on youtube-) or it could also be that in archaos lore, she was a god made, not born. I will explain that in a later post as to my theories behind this and go into more detail behind that.

The other bit of lore was about the nine hells. Technically in Frostfire Lore: there's only 8 layers. The 9th went missing along with a very powerful god

Somft pre-intrulogical interaction scene that came to my brain

Logan sort of throwing Remus over his shoulder to get him to cooperate and Remus just, going limp in surprise, bc:

1. Logan Stronk?? And 2. Logan Touch?? Him??? Willingly?? And 3. Logan.. Warm. Thoughts.. clear.

So like, everyones surprised by the sudden cooperation, Logan is very pleased that it worked, though he’s not aware of just how well it worked.

Then comes time for Logan to put Remus down and Remus does a little wiggle and whines, struggling for the first time since he was picked up to ensure Logan remains holding him because it feels super nice and he really doesn’t want it to be over yet because who knows if or when it’ll ever happen again.

And, then Logan realizes Why this tactic worked so well. Remus is touch starved to hell and back and is literally shaking bc of it. Instead of putting Remus down he just, adjusts his hold and slides Remus into a different position that’ll allow him to sit down and cuddle Remus. Remus remains broken for the rest of the afternoon just, quietly napping and floating with so many happy endorphins that hes unable to do anything but hum and purr
