! annoying sob story ahead !

i left my sketchbook at my dads, and i needed to find something to draw on so i went into my desk and found an old sketchbook

it’s not too old, the one i used over the summer. i was flipping through and laughing, admiring the progress i’ve made

then i flipped to the page. it was a half decent drawing- but it was the page i doodled on sitting outside at my little cousins birthday party. the party where my boyfriend was ignoring my texts until i told him i was gonna call him when i got home.

the page from the day i broke up with him.

i kept flipping through and finding the drawings of my denial stage, where i ignored the fact that he ever happened- where i longed most desperately and pathetically for a relationship.

and recently i’ve felt myself slipping back into that mindset, wanting a relationship so bad.

it was just hard, looking at those drawings again… and the memories tied to them.
