𝑪𝑳𝑶𝑺𝑬𝑹- 𝑯𝑨𝑵𝑮𝑬 𝑿 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑫𝑬𝑹

A/N: here’s a stupid idea i’ve had in my brain for a min and i FINALLY finished it! also don’t mind typos or anything, slightly tipsy rn. (dont drink tequila and vodka and use beer as a chaser??? EVER ???) anyway, enjoy enjoy😊👍🏼 my trip is so good currently like you guys i’ve never been so happy :(

WARNINGS: thigh riding, eating out, praise (IS THAT BAD IDFK 🤯), lots of kissing, fingering and whatever else i added in here idk i cant think rn 🤷🏻

You set your coffee down, eyebrows furrowing. “Problem?” Erwin looked up, eyes searching your stressed face.

“Yeah, uhm, just some bio homework. I really regret taking this fucking class.” You laugh, spinning your computer around to show him. His eyebrows raised, pushing your computer back to you. Levi approached you two, handing Erwin his food and placing your sandwich beside your drink. He read it over your shoulder before scoffing and sitting down next to Erwin. “Thank you.” He mumbled to Levi before kissing his hand. You scrunch your nose up, making a gagging noise. “In public is crazy.” You tease them with a smile.

“How am I supposed to figure this out?” You slap your hands on your face, dragging them down. “Your fault for choosing that class for extra credit.” Levi chuckled. “Shut up.” You roll your eyes. The three of you always met up at the library to study a lot, and today was one of those days. Unlucky for you, you were learning some pretty hard stuff, and had a hard time understanding it. It was starting to stress you out. “Just leave it for another day, email your professor and tell them to explain it better.” Erwin looked up from his computer, meeting your stressed eyes.

“Hiya, everyone! Oooh, is that stem cells and the tissue formation process?” They leaned over, taking a glance at your computer. You perk up, meeting their excited eyes. “Yeah, do you know anything about it?” You question, watching as they set all their stuff down. They pull up a chair, sitting beside you. “Now you got them riled up.” Levi scoffed. “Oh shut up.” You sigh. “This is one of my favorite topics, since there's so many theories around it and the things that actually happen, which is why it's considered one of the harder topics. I passed this section with an easy 100.” Hange smiled.

“Do you think you could help me? I can pay you!” You smile. “There's no need! I can help you anytime, you just text me the time and place.” Hange seemed fine on the outside, but on the inside they were exploding. Hange met you through Levi and Erwin. You guys lived next to each other and you hung out with Erwin and Levi a lot. Hange had some lengthy conversations with you but they never hung out with you one on one. This was a big step for them. Levi bumped Erwins elbow, eyeing you two.

“That would be great!” You pulled out your phone, allowing them to put in their number. “What do you study?” You look up at them, admiring their excited brown eyes. “Biology!” they answer with a huge smile. You two engulf yourself in a conversation, completely forgetting the time. It wasn't until Erwin lightly tapped your shoulder, showing you his phone. “Oh, thanks.” You smile.

You two pack up your stuff, following Erwin and Levi out. “They’re so cute.” Hange points at their hands. Erwin had clasped him against Levi’s, leading him towards the car. “Did you need a ride home?” Hange turned to you, smiling. “I usually ride with them, but i don't mind riding with you if it's not a bother.” You smile. “Of course not!” Hange lead you to their car. “I’ll meet you guys later!” You called towards the two. “Sounds good.” Erwin waved, but gave Levi that knowing look. Hange opened your door, smiling. A certain item caught your eye.

Hange had a frog plush sitting on their dash. “Where did you get this? Do you know what rare item you hold?” You slowly turn to them as they turn on the car. “Oh, yes. Do you know how much that cost me?” They push up their glasses before pulling off to your apartment. They played quiet music on the way back, occasionally cracking a joke or pointing something out.

They pull to a stop, unlocking the doors. “Thank you so much, I owe you lunch tomorrow! Do you just want to come over? It's gonna be crowded tomorrow.” You grab your bag and cup, turning to them. “Oh! Sure!” They nod quickly. “Sweet. Drive safe.” You close their door and wave, before walking inside. You peek out your window to see that they had only started driving off. They waited for you to get inside your apartment. You slap a hand over your mouth, screaming. You run to your bed, kicking your feet and squealing. God, you felt like you were a teenage girl with her first crush.

You always admired hange from afar. You had a math class with them last semester and you occasionally talked to them when Levi and Erwin were around, but never alone. You shook with excitement, too excited to do anything else. Hange was perfect in every way and now they were going to help you? You thanked yourself for keeping calm in front of them. You got up, heading to the shower. You had no idea how you were going to go to bed with this much excitement.

You deep cleaned your apartment, and it felt like you were overdoing everything. A knock echoed through your home. You opened the door, smiling.

Hange had many books and a bag of food in their hand. “Come on in.” You smile, moving aside. “You can sit on the dinner table.” “Thanks!” They sit down. You join the, pulling out your computer. “You didn't have to get me anything!” You shake your head as they slide a bagel towards you. “Want anything to drink?” You offer. “A water is fine!” You stood up, grabbing two bottles from the fridge. You hand them one, sitting back down.

“So, where do you want to start?” They lean over to see your computer. “Here,” You pint. “Thats where we have to start, but its hard to understand it, i cant find theories in out book so i cant understand it.” You sigh. Hange opened a book up, trying to find a section. Their eyebrows furrowed, pushing their glasses up. “Oh! Here it is. This book practically answers everything youre looking for!” Hange slides the book over.

It had been a couple hours, and neither of you could explain how you ended up like this. You typed your last paragraph as Hange was above you, arms on either side of you and chin on top of your head. You two spent hours figuring stuff out, and even getting to know eachother. You typed the last sentence bewfore leaning back into their chest, groaning.

“Finally!’ You hit submit, stretching you neck. “See? That wasnt so bad!” Hange smiled. “Not for you!” You joked. “Thanks a lot for that, in really needed it. We have about three more assignments until the final quiz, if you want to help me with those too id be down!” You turn to look at them. It took all your might to not stare at their arms. In the hours of studying, Hange had taken off their flannel, leaving them in their black tank top and sweatoants.

“Sure! You just let me know and i can help.” They smile. After cleansing up and making sure they werent forgetting anything, they said their goodbyes and went on their way.

FIVE WEEKS LATER

In the time that had passed, Hange and you had become close, inseparable you could say. The two of you did everything together. It had went from tutoring sessions to hangouts and eventually sleepovers. Erwin and Levi had caught on pretty quick, thanks to Hanges rants about you.

Levi handed Hange their food, sitting in front of them. “Levi, you have no idea how cute they are! LIke the way they caught on so quick asnd now they understand more than they could! And they got us this lego set to build, and we had pizza after! So good. And they did my hair too, doesnt it look so kuch softer?” Hange went on and on, their face turning red and eyes sparkling with excitement. Levi raised a brow, drinking his tea. “So youre in love with them?” Levi spat out. “Wha- no! Levi, that’s my friend! Nothing more.” Hange huffed, rolling their eyes.

From then on, Levi and Erwin kept an eye on you two. It was the small details that they had caught onto. You wore Hange’s favorite flannel, you always had a hair tie on your wrist if Hange ever needed one, Hange always carried your favorite chapstick and favorite gum. They started to form their own theories about you two.

Hange had woken up nervous, today was your big day! You finally had your big test on the things they had helped you study with. They knew how it had been eating you inside, but you had gotten a perfect score on all your small quizzes, so you should nail this, right? Hange sent you a long, sweet message making sure that you were prepared and that you were going to crush the test. You replied back, making Hange squeal. They invited you to dinner afterwards, at their house. You two could bake cookies and watch movies after. You accepted, saying it would ease your nerves.

Hours had passed, and Hange nervously chewed on their fingers. How long would it be until you texted them?

Suddenly, their door burst open, you running in, shaking a paper everywhere and cheering. Hange stood up from the couch, watching you with a smile. “What is it?” Hange tried to calm you down, but you couldnt stop jumping everywhere. “What is it, lemme see!” Hange grabbed your wrist, trying to get ahold of the paper. A pair of lips met Hamge’s, catching them by surprise. Hange’s eyes closed slowly, hands on either side of your face. You dropped the papers, tangling your hands through their short, soft hair. You two pulled away from the kiss, breathing in for air.

“I passed with a one hundred.” You smile. Hange’s mouth dropped, eyes meeting the paper on the floor. There it was, a big 100 in red pen. Hange turned to you, pulling you back in for another kiss. You happily kissed them back, smiling against their lips. Hange’s hands slid under your shirt, hands rubbing up and down your waist. You hold on to their arm, whimpering.

Hange pushed you against the couch softly without breaking this kiss. You push them back down, throwing your leg over them and straddling them. You pulled your shirt off, the cold air sending shivers down your spine. Hange placed a hand on your bare back, pushing your body closer. They kissed all over your chest, leaving you in a mess.

You grind your hips against their lap, lips whispering their name. “Be patient.” Hange laughed against your shoulder. “But I deserve it, no?” You pulled back, hands on their side of their face, lips ghosting over theirs. “I’ll show you what you deserve.” They pushed your head towards them, kissing the corner of your mouth down to your jaw.

��“Mngh, fuck.” You unbutton their shirt, hands running up and down their soft stomach. Hange pulled off their shirt, lips busy on your neck. You dig your nails into their skin, sucking in a deep breath as they focus on that one spot.

Hange picked you up from their lap, laying you down on the couch. They straddled you, hands palming your chest. Your face scrunched up, lips trembling. Hange kissed down your stomach, eyes focused on your pretty face.

They pull down your sweatpants, pressing a wet kiss on your hip bone. “Hange, please.” You yank your pants off, your core aching for some attention. Hange traced shapes on your thighs, running their lips up and down your inner thigh. You bucked your hips foward, hands in their hair.

Hange pushed your hips down with force, nails digging into your skin. Seeing you all spread out like this, begging for them was all they could ever ask for. Their lips finally met your wet cunt. Your legs closed around their head, a loud moan leaving your lips. You covered your mouth, stomach caving with every stripe of their tongue.

Hange pulled your hand away, placing it on your chest. They squeezed your boob, before slowly trailing their hand down to your thighs. They pushed them up, giving them more access. They pushed two fingers in you, watching as your back arched, fingers trying to find a grip on something.

Hange goes faster, watching as your legs close around their head once again. You arch your back, uncontrollable mewls leaving your mouth. Hange pulls out their fingers, immediately licking you up.

“Fuckfuckfuck!” You slur out, eyes shutting closed. Hange cleans you up, holding your waist down again. They come back up to you, kissing you. You messily kiss them back, body too tired to do anything else.

They sit down beside you, pulling you back into their lap. It felt like your legs were going to give out at any moment. “Hange…so tired.” You lean into their chest, kissing their neck. “One more, baby… just one more.” Hange kissed your lips. You slowly started moving your hips against their thigh, light whimpers leaving your mouth.

“That’s it, just like that.” Hange helped you, their large hands moving you back and forth. “You did so good. Im so proud of you.” Hange pressed a kiss against your forehead, down to your lips and then your jaw. You fastened your pace, ignoring the ache in your legs.

Hange looked unreal. Their hair had gotten loose from its usual updo from you messing with it, cheeks were dusted with pink and their eyes were dark and lustful. Their glasses slid off their nose slowly, lips crashing against yours

Their glasses fogged, making you giggle against their lips. Hange gripped the fat of your hips, crescent-like pink shapes marking your skin. They placed their mouth on your cheek, warm breath fawning your face. They sloppily kissed the edge of your mouth, brain too fuzzy to think of anything else.

“I love you so much.” Your hands were on either side of Hange’s face, eyes meeting theirs. Hange felt their heart swell, just a couple weeks ago they were daydreaming about you and now they had you into a moaning mess for them.

“I love you so much more.” They kissed you hard, wanting to bring you impossibly closer. “Hange, fuck.” You repeated over and over again, legs shaking and fastening your pace. “That’s it.” Hange pushed your hair back, nose against your cheek.

Your fingernails dug into their back, curse words and Hange’s name slurring out of your mouth. Hange held the back of your head, other hand on your lower back, bringing you closer. “Fuck, just like that.” They kissed your neck. You slowed down, feeling their stomach and back, eyes closed.

“Should’ve asked you for help sooner.” You said, out of breath. “Mm, I guess we just found a new stress reliever, though.” Hange laughed, kissing your lips.

Bee! I hope you don’t mind me sharing more weed ball fortune teller Mickey thoughts - he’s like a South Side Delphi oracle (I think that myth about the Delphi oracle inhaling vapours has been disproven but whatever), he gets enough shit right that people trust him. Or at least, trust him enough to take a chance. Mandy makes him a whole fancy set-up in their spare room (Terry’s in jail) with drapes everywhere and low lighting which really adds to the vibe. Ian wants to know whether going into the army is the right thing, he wants to so much but he has a tiny doubt deep down and he can’t shake it. Mickey’s first reading tells him no. So he keeps going back, asking things and sometimes they happen so…Mickey must be accurate, right? But Ian is also noticing that he just likes being in the dimly lit room sitting very close to Mickey as he gets high. Probably best not to think too much about what that means….but then one day he blurts it out, why does he like coming here so much? And Mickey just smirks and silently offers the magical weed ball for Ian to take a hit and they get high together and realise they like each other…a lot. 💖

that’s really reassuring advice and it actually helped me write a few paragraphs as of today. From the outside looking in that’s crazy to me that you thought second best wasn’t that good but just like you said everyone’s gonna be critical when it comes to their own work. (Just would like to once again say your writing is captivating and it’s an example of how I’d like to write someday✨)

I figured they wouldn’t be making an appearance, I thought they’d make be mentioned but it would make sense that R’s life is all about Tara right now, fits the dialogue immensely👌🏼

Is there any particular locations in Brazil that you’d recommend to sometime going for the first time? It’s on my bucket list and I’ve been interested in learning a new language (either Portuguese, Tagalog or German) because I actually wanna move out of the country, I reside in one of the most expensive places in California and the cost of living nowadays is insane.

I don’t know any of the rules when it comes to just about any sport but I love watching them because they’re so intense 🤯. I was wondering if you could possibly recommend any Portuguese artists that you enjoy listening to? I love music and listen to just about everything except for screamo and regularly go to concerts, last person I went to go see was Deorro in San Francisco 🥹.

About the locations, I could spend a whole day talking about it. Brazil is a BIG BIG country with tons of different local cultures and it all depends on what you like to do most when you're traveling. I'll try to make some suggestions though.

If you like the beach: Brazil has a lot of littorals so you could find a good beach in almost all of our states. There's Rio de Janeiro, if you like places with vivid nature and historical national landmarks (the Christ, national parks, the bond of Pão de Açúcar mountain). There's also smaller states with killer beaches and a calmer vibe like Florianopolis, Paraíba and Rio Grande do Norte (although I would recommend João Pessoa City in Paraíba and Pipa or São Miguel do Gostoso in Rio Grande do Norte)

If you like historical places: We also have a lot of those but my favorite gotta be Minas Gerais. Cities like Tiradentes and Ouro Preto are very pretty, full of history and great great cuisine. Also, there are places like Gramado City in Rio Grande do Sul that are big on germanlike architecture and have a great christmas and new years celebration.

If you're more into big cities, São Paulo is gonna be ideal. (Also sorry i got carried away)

About Brazilian artists, some of my favorites are Jão, Bruno Gadiol, Day Linns, Tinn, NX Zero and Ludmilla (Who's playing in Coachella this year). However, if you wanna have the true brazilian experience you gotta listen to Seu Jorge, Maria Bethania, Gal Costa, Gilberto Gil, Belchior and Ney Matogrosso. (And this is only MPB/Bossa Nova, don't get me started on Samba and Pagode)

Hoodoo A Reglion Or Not.

If we look at Hoodoo practice in is self. There no reason to be mixing Egyptian spirits or gods, wiccan Vodou loa or even Orishas in it. If you are or want to practice those others like myself I do voodoo, do them separately, have one space for one practice have another space for your other and a space your just your workings.

But Hoodoo is a African region that has involved from the originals & you can backtrack the Hoodoo lineage and find they are link with Vodou and Palo Mayombe, and some Orishas.

To learn what is real, you can find real teachers but pls stay off and don't listen to these sites like Facebook, Riddit. These site are not there to teach you but to confuse you.

Understand hoodoo is about balance, what we do in our workings is to balance thing back out.

What's One Of The Main Reasons People Get To Hoodoo: It attracts people to a new way of spirituality. An to others they just thought about being initiated into African religion until they realizes it's going to cost them in the thousands and then think. "Man I'm not going to pay all that money.

Then they think "Well I can do Hoodoo. I can find a book and a course online, I don't have to pay a lot of money and I'll be a pro afterwards only in a few weeks.

NO,NO,NO,NO,NO.

HOW IS HOODOO A RELIGION?

Well let's break it down. Vodou is a religion, Palo Mayombe, Santeria, all the other Orisha practices are religions. So why not Hoodoo, That is the question.

See people the mainstream, the marketeers that sell you stuff are telling you that Hoodoo is not a religion. They took out that world religion and added tradition. So they can have you believe what they need you to believe so they can sell you the crap and call it hoodoo.

But I'm Here To Let You Know Hoodoo Is A Reglion It Is.

Hoodoo is a Africanized form of Christianity. BOOM 🤯 💥

Let's take this further. Look at Catholics, the Protestants, the Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, all of these are religions correct. But each one of them may do some things differently. Like let's say baptisms some submerge your whole body in water, another just dunk your head, then another only use a little holy water on the forehead. But there still religions, there all a form of Christianty, they all believe in God, and teaches about God.

So the answer is Yes it is a religion.. If you use the bible as we do in hoodoo, If we use bible passages, If we pray to God, If we believe in a hight power, If we speak and honor to our ansestors, then tell me how it is not a religion.

Churches In Hoodoo: Black churches basically are rooted/established in conjure and supernatural beliefs. Most text state during and right after slavery preachers, ministers were very spiritual had no issue with using "conjure" and/or forms of rootwork in their Ministry - because they used the Bible as their foundation. And never saw an issue with honoring their ancestors. They may or may not have had altars but they did do workings.

But conjure is still in the Black Churches today - now it may be hidden or not talked about as openly due to a lot of the stereotypes that thinks it's bad. But when you need some things done believe me those old ladies know who to go too. Rootworkers are very much still around today. But not that many authentic ones anymore tho.

One of the problems I think is that the mainstream marketeers some of the these white people are trying to take the black church out of Hoodoo, You Can Not, It's much of a part of it as the bible is. When you go to a black church there are some Root Workers who are Pastors & Reverends. It's apart of who we are and what still do. In churches the pastor might have you bring olive oil to anoint you or even give you oil and a prayer to take home with you. Now you may not have thought about it at the time but as adults with knowing and understanding what hoodoo is you realize that what there are doing is Hoodoo.

Even on the plantations the root workers are often leading service. There dancing, praying to God, remembering there ansestors, That's church, That's there own stye of church service.

How do you know if your practicing real Hoodoo? One thing you have to understand is that Hoodoo has become a Title for anyone who's practicing a form of folk Magic. Real hoodoo is a Africanized reglion that was involved in the south. Just like other sub religions some thing are different within your community but the basics are all the same.

They're are many forms of root work but we're not all going to do them the same way.

There are Curanderismo and Mexican traditional folk healing. Appalachian mountains Granny Magic, Native American Shamanism or Folk magic. They all do a form of root work or conjuring but it's not hoodoo.

After a Second Viewing and Much Consideration: The Boys E7, Take 2! 😁

Dear Soldier Boy - Please stop being so beautiful when you're SUCH an asshole. Or better yet, stay beautiful, and stop. being. an asshole!

K, now that that's out of the way, you can find my much shorter, original reaction to the episode, here. (There are major spoilers to be found if you click on it. Just a head's up.) It was a lot to take in at first! 😜

Tons of spoilers and a few gifs under the cut:

Okay, on second viewing can I just say that as horrifying as it is to watch SB is in this episode, Jesus Christ Jensen is a FUCKING insanely good actor. I mean, not like this is news to any of us, but sometimes he still manages to blow me away. 🤯

Because in spite of all the evil SB has shown himself to be capable of, Jensen still manages to give the character layers. Obviously he is FULL of, not only TM, but a poisonous kind of rage and hate, yet I still saw moments of vulnerability. Brief and fleeting, and quickly smashed aside with some, as Hughie would call it, "Marlborough Man" BS, but they were there nonetheless. Like these moments:

Kimiko (and Butcher a couple episodes ago) said the V doesn't change you, it just enhances what was already there. So, I wanna know how and why SB was so full of hate and anger to begin with, that now it's at absolutely horrifying levels? Where did that come from?

It was amazing to see how much of Butcher's dream showed him to be so much like SB, full of rage, and focused on "the mission" at all costs. And his actions at the end with Hughie absolutely broke my heart. I'm hoping to GOD that there's an ulterior motive behind what he's doing, that he has some kind of plan that will redeem him.

I'm also hoping against hope that SB is lying to HL, for some kind of ulterior motive, as well. But I'm definitely not holding my breath on that one.

What I actually think is going to happen, is MM and Noir and gonna team up to take down SB. They both have ample reason to hate him. Just a theory.

Anyway, other moments from the episode that I loved:

I found some interesting parallels and differences between The Legend and SB. So, back in the 80s they were both happy to be living large, SB did shit, TL covered it up. He knew all SB's bullshit and helped him get away with it. (MM even said TL helped cover up his Grandfather's death) TL said he produced that horrifying, culturally appropriating, misogynistic, gross video that SB made. So he was right by SB's side, and then "profited from all of it", as he says. So, there are the parallels.

It's very clear, however, that TL is now quite regretful and mostly disgusted by the things they did.

So, as far as I can see, the differences between TL and SB is that TL was awake, alive and kicking, while change was happening in the world and within our society. He could change and grow with the world - learn, mature, age. I'm not saying if SB was around he would have necessarily changed. But I think it's an interesting point the show is making in showing that change is possible; it's not inevitable, but people can grow, even if it's in small ways, over time.

I felt like the stuff with The Deep was just kinda thrown in there, kind of tacked on to the episode. For comic relief, no doubt, but mostly I just wanted to get back to the other storylines.

🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)?

Well, I mostly write romance so—probably everything that's not romance? 😬 I'm reasonably sure I can write short bursts of action okay, but plotty action is still uncharted territory for me. I've tried many times to write detective story plots but I just... get stuck in the middle. I would LOVE to be able to write political thrillers set in the Star Trek universe but that requires a confidence in my own research abilities that I don't have and I'm not sure how to get, either. I'm not exactly an eclectic writer, lol

🎉 What leads you to consider a fic a success?

It depends on the context! If it's something I wrote for an exchange, my success condition is receiving a comment from the recipient. If it was a fic I wrote for a friend, then I'm glad if said friend tells me they liked it. If it's a fic I posted without a specific recipient in mind, then receiving a couple of nice comments (ie comments that go in some detail about what the reader enjoyed) makes me feel very accomplished. I try really hard not to obsess about numbers because I write for smallish audiences so I don't think there's much point in keeping track of kudos. It always, always means a lot more to me when friends&mutuals tell me that they appreciated what I write, anyway.

🥰 How do you feel about reader interaction? Are you open to receiving questions about your fics?

I'm always open to receiving questions about my fic!! I'm vain and talkative and that's a tried and true way to get me to talk, especially if a reader goes into specifics, I do love when people notice something about what I put on the page. This doesn't necessarily have to be positive at all costs either—I try to signal in the author's notes of my fic the topics on which I welcome feedback even in public spaces like the AO3 comments or tumblr asks.

The foundation’s net worth was $600 million a few years ago. Probably changed by now. And no, I don’t think his net worth is that much. He probably has money but not assets in the shape of that sum. Someone else estimated it to be $25 million which seems more plausible. I also want to say, because some people think net worth = money in your bank account, but your net worth could be looked up in investments and properties etc. Like while Gaga most likely has a lot of money in savings and in her checking account her life also costs a lot more than ours do. She has loads of people employed for example and needs a steady flow of money “in” in order to be spending. Touring is where most musicians make their money now so I’m guessing she’ll get a boost once the CBT is over.

Walker 2.11

There is no case this week, there are however a lot of secrets and one of them is 😳

Let’s jump right into it; the secret that’s not a secret is that Walker and Geri hooked up and are now a couple and they’re so obvious about it that everyone knows. Opinion on this couple remains the same so I’m moving on. Oh! But there was some shirtless!Walker and that’s delicious 🔥

Moving on to the secrets. First up we got Denise confronting Dan about his involvement in the whole Walker family surveillance mess and kicks him out which makes him get wasted at the Side Step, and Cassie has to go pick him up. This dude was so drunk he was almost out on his stomach on the hood of his car with a bowl of chili.

Then we have Bonham who has a huge secret regarding the land because it turns out he has known for years about the Walkers living on Davidson land and he made a deal back in 1995 with Marvin to do a horse race in exchange for the land instead of going to court. The horse race was Marvin’s idea btw, if the Walker fam won then they would keep living on the land as they have for years, if they lost they would leave. But this race never came to pass because Marvin passed away and since nobody, not even their wives, knew about this deal…Bonham just kept quiet about it and never told anyone.

And all this is being brought back up because of Liam poking around which led to Denise being notified by the county assessor about someone looking very closely into her property. Now Gale and Denise want the Walker fam to honor the deal Bonham had made with Marvin all those years ago - because a horse race is still easier than going to court and also tradition - with the stakes upped to whoever wins getting control of the whole land. Meaning if the Walker fam wins they get to keep their land plus get the Davidsons land and vice versa.

Semi-related but not really a secret is that Bonham found the lantern that had something to do with the barn fire in August room, he was not happy about that and at the end it’s implied he’s going to bury it. Sir, you don’t get rid of evidence on your own property 🤦‍♀️

Anyways, the biggest secret is Abeline’s! That conversation that she had with Marvin shortly before he died was him confessing to her that the child everyone thought him and his wife had lost had actually survived 🤯

The baby had been born with a medical condition and fearing he wouldn’t be able to afford the financial cost or emotional toll gave the baby away without Gale knowing. Abeline told him to tell Gale but she doesn’t know if he did, and she says she wanted to tell her after the fire and that she’d wanna know if it was her baby and yet….SHE HASN’T TOLD HER!

She had the perfect opportunity to tell her when Gale told her she was looking for closure and to tell her what she knows but instead she tells her that it’s not her secret to tell and that bringing it up will only bring her more pain. I’m sorry but that is a bitch move on Abeline’s part, Marvin is dead and gone but Gale still has every right to know that the child she mourned may still be alive.

That situation with the baby is also the reason Marvin was so desperate years ago to get the Walker land back because he desperately needed the money.

Let this be a reminder to y’all that secrets in a family are not a good idea. And if you have something important to tell someone don’t put it off or the grim reaper may end up coming for you before you get the chance to tell them.

All in all a pretty straight forward episode; I am curious to see what direction the second Davidson storyline goes in, as well as what other secrets that lantern holds cause I have the feeling that’s going to be dug back up both literally and metaphorically. Also, hoping for more secrets to be revealed cause I like the drama 🍿
