I assume you’ve seen for yourself the forty minutes worth of footage of what Hamas did, Gazans cheering them on?

Those animals deserve death.

Yes. Because the moment I stop, the moment I give up on this very possible alliance between Israeli and Palestinians, I will lose.

And losing will destroy me. This is the hill I stand on, and I will keep standing on it as long as I can. I will continue to support the right for self determination of both my people and of the Palestinians, my brethren. I will continue to support a peaceful solution. I will not concede and let neither Hamas or the right wing extremists win.

I do avoid the videos to my own sanity, but I have read the descriptions. I knew about the cheering from the first day, and it didn't stop me then and would not stop me now. You know that there are people on my side cheering for the death of Palestinians? people who celebrate their deaths?

How can I, knowing those people exist, expect any Palestinian to reach their hand to me if I do not do the same? If I am to generalize and declare all Palestinians the same, how can I ask them to not do the same to me? What gives me the right to put others on a higher moral standard that I uphold myself to?

If a hand is able to reach to me through all this hate, what right do I have to not reach my hand in response? what right do I have to not grab that hand and hold this person? how can I in good faith give up on this chance?

I am and will stay both pro-Palestinian and a Zionist, because this is the only way I can live to my ideals. Because the moment I stop, I have personally failed.

The Russian army in Ukraine and other countries they’ve invaded, the US. army in countries America has invaded, the Japanese army in the countries they invaded, the British army, the French army, the army of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and yes, even the Israeli army in Palestine,… I could go on and on

Employing rape as a weapon of war is something that, unfortunately, routinely happens. So why are we required to believe that Hamas is just so uniquely good and pure that they’re above raping women??

Are there racist Islamophobes who will believe anything bad or unflattering about Muslims? Yes. Does that mean Hamas isn’t guilty of committing war crimes? No.

Anyway, look: this sounds like propaganda very specifically designed to make people be wary of criticizing Hamas. But it’s not Islamophobia, it’s acknowledging what has happened before and very likely happened just recently in Gaza

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - I want Palestinian freedom. I do not, however, believe that soldiers raping women or killing children and the elderly in cold blood is a necessary part of achieving victory. Stated differently, rape + intentionality killing children is indefensible and inexcusable at all times and under any circumstances, regardless of who is doing it

And finally, let’s not pretend that Israel hasn’t been committing war crimes against Palestinians literally for decades. The IDF is deadass bragging to the world on international media about committing a massive war crime right now, as they are indiscriminately bombing the hell out of hospitals, schools, mosques, children and noncombatant civilian families in Gaza—and Israel is not even giving innocent people anywhere to go. They’ve closed the borders and escape routes. That’s a fucking war crime too

the black and white idea of morals is one of the most dangerous things. it is the reason that so many wars have been/are being fought.

for instance the israel-hamas war.

all over social media there is this idea that you must pick a side, israel or hamas. both are bigoted murderous organizations.

I am not going to pick between lying racist dictatorship and lying antisemitic dictatorship.

this idea of choosing a good side and bad side is why real ceasefires with proper requirements are not being put in place (several have been put in place recently, but each time one or both sides disregard it because the UN wont properly do it and then the other fights back). it is why people aren't focusing on demolishing these organizations and freeing the innocent civilians, but instead demolishing entire peoples, labeling them as "evil" despite no support for "their side"s crimes

Caring/Worrying for Israeli citizens≠Supporting Israel's government

Supporting palestinians≠Supporting Hamas

Hamas being bad≠Israel being good

Israel being bad≠Hamas being good

All of these statements are important, and without accepting them all, this war will end with a genocide on either or both sides.

As said, do not choose between being racist and being antisemitic. Instead, choose being anti-dictatorship, anti-war, and anti-genocide.

I am disgusted by how so many of you who claim to stand with Palestine, support Hamas or downplay their actions. Hamas is a terrorist group who cares more about killing all Jewish people, not just zionists, than liberating Palestine (if they even care about Palestine at all).

I absolutely hate the Israeli government and I want a free Palestine, like many of you on here, but that doesn't mean I support Hamas.
