Leaked comments from a meeting between released hostages and Netanyahu reveals rage towards the israeli government. During this meeting Netanyahu was heckled and shouted at by released hostages, who accused him of wanting to topple "the Hamas government, to show that you have bigger balls... You put politics above the return of the kidnapped.”
They speak of being shelled by IDF helicopters, of realizing the IDF is considering flooding the tunnels where hostages are with sea water.
A man with released family members said “They were under constant threat from the IDF shelling. You sat in front of us and assured us that it does not threaten their lives. They also roam the street and [are] not only in the tunnels. They are mounted on donkeys and carts. You will not be able to recognize them on the street and you are endangering their lives. It is our duty to return them now.”
"When Netanyahu said Hamas was to blame for the end of the truce, an individual identified by ynet as a family member of a released hostage replied: 'Nonsense.'”

This is real. Israeli hostages are fed up with Israel and Netanyahu's political games.
There was rumor of a ceasefire the night of the first blackout. Lots of people believed it, Palestinians as well. That of course, wasn't true at all.

"Biden emphasized that the strikes on humanitarian workers and the overall humanitarian situation are unacceptable. He made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers. He made clear that U.S. policy with respect to Gaza will be determined by our assessment of Israel’s immediate action on these steps."

In a 1986 interview, Netanyhu does an amazing job describing himself 37 years later, when asked by the interviewer (William F Buckley Jr.) to define terrorism. At the time he was Israel's ambassador to the U.N.
No one can talk about terrorism better than a terrorist.

All three of these men have active criminal proceedings against them.
Two of them are currently the leaders of their respective countries and the third is a former leader and the frontrunner of one of the only two major parties in his.
All three are fascists who did much to dismantle whatever democracy their country had.
The world would be better off if all three dropped dead this moment.

These are images from the World Health Organisation (WHO) and its partners, of Al-Shifa Hospital.
Yet people still claim, "it was calculated and targeted", "the IDF did everything they could to avoid civilians".
Does this honestly look like the work of a precise military operation?
I dare you to defend this, I dare you to say this was justified.

God Grant Us Justice and Revenge For Gaza
Tumblr media
Oh God, whoever abandoned them, abandon him
And whoever killed them, kill him
And whoever starves them, starve him
And whoever made them thirsty, make him thirst
And whoever frightened them, frighten him
Oh God, grant us justice and revenge for Gaza!
Oh God, make every drop of the blood of the people of Gaza a fire, a curse, and a disease that sweeps away the homes and thrones of all those who failed them, conspired against them, and deceived against them.

I'm so glad I'm not imagining things, I've been saying there's a shift happening over the last week
This is why you keep talking, keep marching, keep holding sit-ins, obstruct life, make it known the People are furious and want Apartheid Israel dragged the fuck out by the scruff of its neck
This requires EVERYONE to work together and show our solidarity in all of our nations for Palestine, even if you're just sharing posts or memes you're pushing information and inadvertently spurring on other people who can do stuff YOU can't and THAT'S how we cover all aspects

Israel-Hamas War: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)
John Oliver is a liberal, so a discussion of settler-colonialism and genocide obviously does not take place. Israel’s warcrimes are only briefly mentioned (probably deliberately to not loose viewers). But it’s impressive what he manages to say despite that. This piece is directed at the general public and explains to them in understandable and empathatic ways why the violence needs to stop. Why we cannot conflate Palestinians with Hamas and Israelis with the Netanyahu-government.
Personally I don’t think appeals to emotion are an honest method of argumentation, but they are effective. And framed around the simple fact that half of Gaza’s population is children, therefore they could not vote for Hamas in 2006, therefore the warmongers defending themselves with “Well, Gaza voted for Hamas, so warcrimes are ok.” are bullshitting, they are a good call.
This is not a report, but a comedy show. Their licence to use colloquial language, to call it like it is, when a news reporter can’t, is a powerful tool and I’m glad Oliver and team are using it for good.

Netanyahu rejects any deal with Hamas for the release of captives that would end the war, despite calls from Israeli politicians.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says 178 Palestinians were killed and 293 injured in 24 hours, with attacks nearing Khan Younis’s vital Nasser Hospital.
Israeli government approves deal for frozen tax funds for the occupied West Bank and Gaza to be held in Norway, instead of being transferred to the Palestinian Authority. The latter rejects any conditions placed on its receipt of the tax revenue.
At least 25,105 people have been killed and 62,681 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from the October 7 Hamas attack stands at 1,139.

But, yes, it was totally a coincidence that the one Palestinian academic that could speak English, loved and taught Harry Potter and poetry and was the most famous writer that explained the Palestinian situation to the western world got killed.
Total coincidence, I’m sure.
