A reminder to myself

Preoccupy yourself with the only thing that is certain in this dunya and never forget every minute that goes by you get closer to the day you'll meet your Lord, so prepare for it. You don't belong here, you're just passing by, so don't waste this limited time preoccupied with other people's lives.

Isn't Allah more worthy having your heart dedicated to Him since He is the One who gave it to you in the first place? Don't dedicate this heart of yours entirely to someone other than your Creator, it will cause you nothing but worry and pain. Expecting your reward from people it's like a disease and you feed it and make it stronger everytime you feel pity for yourself when they don't give it to you.

However, you might have that someone you love and care about, who's the light of your eyes and the reason you smile. It's hard to find happiness when he's not around as he's the first person you think of when you wake up and the last one you think of before you sleep.

Allah created humans weak, He is the One who made you love that person, but that doesn't mean your entire life is only for loving and preoccupy your mind with him. You were created to worship Allah alone, the things you go through and the people around you are but tests which you must overcome to be ready for your final abode.

Love that person and be kind to him, but always remember who the real owner of your heart is and be mindful of Him.

If you are a woman, similarly, it is crucial to discuss your intentions with your parents and request your parents or mahram to initiate conversations with his mahram. Remember, true blessings arise from actions aligned with Islamic principles.

Delaying Nikah and engaging in an unIslamic relationship can lead to negative consequences rather than the happiness you seek. Therefore, it is imperative to take proactive steps towards a Nikkah that is blessed by Allāh.

Avoid actions that may upset or anger Allāh. Strive to establish a union that is founded on mutual respect, Islamic values, and most importantly Allāh's blessings.
