the amount of times i've drawn clowns on this blog is absurd. yes it was twice but that's twice too much
ANYWAY personality swap verona au anyone? its more of a personality inversion since i didn't swap their personalities with one another (og idea by @quejicadelapulpa)... more info ⬇️
idk why when i invert their personalities they become depressed, evil, or both but 😭 i'll go in depth on each of them
Tybalt: he was always a clown but swapbalt is quite literally a clown (he prefers jester). his personality is basically mercutio: playful, friendly, but still prim since i don't see why that would change about him i mean he's still absolutely loaded 🤑 also he loves annoying mercutio, especially since it's not like he'll get his ass whooped if he starts to throw hands (since, yk, tybalt is JACKED)
Mercutio: what i meant when i said they turn depressed when i invert their personalities 💀 swapcutio is a man of few words. he probably speaks very quietly too, only ever getting loud when he's pissed at tybalt. speaking of, he's not as hot-headed as og tybalt mostly cuz i didn't want to just swap their personas and call it a day. nah this is much funnier. i feel bad for him though i mean he's got this fucking clown constantly bothering him and there's nothing he can do about it
Romeo: he's giving pascal and i'm so sorry ab that. anyway this is where i delve more into personal hcs about personality since some of these sims weren't given much originally. i see romeo as a pretty smart kid so i didn't change that about him. i also see him as a bit immature but his wit makes up for that and that's how he's able to charm people. while swapmeo is mature, he is unfortunately quite uncharismatic so who tf knows how he pulled juliette. he's still a romance sim tho so he has his ways...
Juliette: not too much about her. i originally saw her as a little hot-headed similar to tybalt, so i decided to commit to that and make her a very mellow and chill individual. no more raging at online shooter games for her ! swapiette also wears very comfy clothes unlike juliette and dont u worry i kept her uggs. they're simply too iconic 😩
Miranda: she's basically more like her mother. this is where i was conflicted like do i swap the adults' personalities as well?? regardless, swapiranda (i need to stop) is a good christian girl 😌 as you can see she did not dye her hair in this universe and same with hermia but we'll get there. i also removed her beautiful shades SORRY but they're still there in spirit with the blue of her nails. i think swapiranda has that sweet exterior but a snakeish interior in terms of personality
Hermia: i exchanged the goth aesthetic for something more pastel and trendy for the time. you could say swapmia is a bit like og juliette in terms of personality. ooh maybe she doesn't dislike her brother in this universe! though i can see her and juliette getting tired of his smileyness. also yess swapmia's hair is her natural blonde it fits her vibe more.
Puck: last and certainly not least, evil puck 😍 the poor residents of swap veronaville cuz this kid... to me, og puck is kind, shy, dedicated to their tasks but dreadfully incompetent. you'd think he's the media's idea of a fairy- playful and mischievous, but he is surprisingly the opposite. THEN THERE'S SWAP PUCK. absolutely devious. despicable. he plays pranks and they are fucking mean pranks (not as far as battery acid in pop tho 💀 that's one of their cruel jokes. pls tybalt is not actually drinking battery acid) who KNOWS what swapmia sees in them. maybe she's evil too lmfao
anyway that's what i got. tell me why typing this drained 54% of my battery. apple is wild. maybe i'll do st but that's a hell of a lot of work

ISAT AU where their personalities are reversed and their roles are swapped around.
Mirabelle is a rouge who is vehemently against the Change religion for forcing people to constantly change just to satiate the whims of some lazy deity... but then was personally chosen and blessed by said deity to save the country of Vaugarde.
Odile is a brawler with a bombastic, performative flair-- like the fantasy version of a WWE pro wrestler. The persona isn't fully kayfabe, however. Her exploration of her half-Vaugardian heritage involved Changing into someone entirely unlike her old studious self. Even if she decides to return to her old lifestyle after this journey, she can't deny how fun it is to be this new Odile. She's shredded now!
Siffrin is a swordfighter that's embraced their missing history. He is the Everyman-- All the world is a stage, so why commit to one performance? They change personas and motivations at a whim, although for much of this journey they've played the role of the Reluctantly Redeemed Villain, lightly (and sometimes not so lightly) teasing and jeering their allies.
Isabeau is a researcher well-versed in craft. His backstory is literally the exact inverse of canon, starting as a boisterous fighter before Changing into a reserved academic. He's still struggling to confess his true feelings to Everyman (This "villain" shtick is aggravating and he wants to pummel them just as badly as he wants to kiss them why is Change so cruel to give him a crush on the most insufferable person he's ever met)
Boniface is roughly the same. They're just super old.

MARTHA MAY
Tumblr media
Full Name: Martha-May Hoovier
Age: Immortal
Gender: Female
Occupations: Holiday Mascot, celebrity, worker of Santa’s Toy Factory
Relatives: Ethan Grinch (eventual husband), Cindy Lou (goddaughter)
Interests: Singing, dancing, Grinch (love interest)
Character
Martha-May Hoovier is a holiday mascot/worker of Santa Claus’ Toy factory, friend of Santa’s wife Jessica, and eventually, a wife of Grinch. She is known as an attractive Christmas mascot celebrity, but also brought surprise to others when it comes to her preference of manas she was known for her gigantically romantic feelings for Grinch, the “dark fairy” of Christmas. Around him, she behaves as lovestruck school girl and her tendencies does fluster him a lot. After she married him, her affection becomes visibly obvious and constantly embarrasses or flatters her husband. A small reciprocation from Grinch is enough for her to giggle happily and gives him a suffocating hug. When asked why she chose him, Martha May reveals that she have been in love with Grinch from the first sight when he taught cruel individuals a lesson not to mess with less fortunates and when he shown fatherly side to Max or several orphans.
In Fairly Oddparents AU: Martha May is a friend of Blonda and Tooth Fairy. Gifted with singing voice, Martha May was often singing Christmas carols for everyone. When Krampus dragged Grinch into the stage as both perform, Martha May was seen squealing as lovestruck teenage girl for Grinch as Blonda wonders what does she see in the bitter man. According to Timmy, she described the couple Martha May and Grinch as inverse persona of Cosmo and Wanda (Cosmo=Martha May, Wanda=Grinch) as Martha May have a bubbly personality as Grinch seems to be tolerant of it.
In Grimm Adventures of Billie & Manny AU: As one of workers in Santa Claus’ toy factories and a secretary of his wife Jessica, Martha May was often appointed as “Employee of the Month” for her hardworking and positive demeanors. Friends with Catrina, both talked about their respective love interests (Catrina to Sado, Martha May to Grinch). When witnessing her previous life, she was saddened to learn that she was once a daughter of rich nobleman who had chased out Grinch’s orphanage family and possibly caused their death. Martha May was scared of being hated by Grinch, but Grima’s rather supportive speech get her confidence. When telling truth, Grinch was at first angry of the discovery. However, he forgives her as he sees through that she is innocent. This caused her to hastily scream out a touching marriage proposal, which surprised him but he accepted.
In Hazbin Hotel ’n Helluva Boss AU: Martha appeared when picking up her husband from Hazbin Hotel. Charlie had a brief bi-panic due to Martha May’s attractive appearance until she silently gave Grinch thumbs up, much to his confusion. Martha May has similar behavior of a certain Goetian demon, slightly perverted as she asked Grinch if they can stay over in Lust Ring, resulted in Grinch’s angry blush.

I’ve seen @theminecraftbee’s hermitcraft persona au several times now and I suddenly had an idea
The inverse
Persona party members in minecraft
The magicians (ayase, junpei, yosuke, morgana) go to fight the ender dragon and get their shit rocked
Maki makes the most beautiful house you’ve ever seen. She’s very proud. Good job maki!
I feel like makoto yuki would nonchalantly build dicks everywhere but idk for sure
Tatsuya builds a shitty dirt shack and refuses to upgrade it ever
The phantom thieves keep holding up monsters
They’re also incredible at trading with villagers
Maya asks people to get nether supplies for her (sorry that one’s kinda sad. Better than my first idea of her house burning down…)
Katsuya tries to room with tatsuya. He refuses
Teddie tries to room with any girl. He gets killed
The investigation team makes the nether hub (get it because tv portals)
Sees brings back monster loot for everyone every night
For hermitcraft specific, when someone says “is the moon big?” sees just goes “not this shit again”
The lovers hang out a lot. I’ve seen the fanart and we all know they would. It’d be like every stereotypical girls slumber party movie scene. They meet up in one of their bases and tell stories or gossip (Lisa makes sure no rumors start)
Okay that last one wasn’t very minecrafty. They also go on monster hunting trips or temple raids together
Yusuke makes map art
Kanji has a sheep farm
Fuuka and futaba make redstone machines, maybe even computational redstone
Akihiko discovers caves. He is not seen for weeks. He comes back when his inventory is full of monster drops and stone
Everyone that has a gun (naoto, phantom thieves, st hermelin kids, maya, katsuya, anyone else I’m forgetting) cockily thinks they’ll be great archers. Yukari ends up having to train them
Makoto niijima and mitsuru go looking for saddles. They need their rides.
I think my ideas are getting less canon and less interesting as they go on. I sat here writing this for like 20min straight. Maybe I’ll add on someday, it’ll either be never or within the next hour

I've mentioned my Inverse AU a couple times in the past but never went into depth about it. This post will change that.
What's the Inverse AU? It's basically an AU inspired by the anti-personas in Archie Sonic, like Scourge, Rosy the Rascal, etc., but in a different direction.
Basically, almost every part of a Sonic character is the opposite. Sonic, the fast, agile, snarky, rebellious Hero of Mobius, is now Static, the slow, stiff, stone-cold, authoritarian Dictator of Suibom.
More info about other characters under the cut 👇
Static, as mentioned before, is the Dictator of Suibom. She spends most of their time cooped up in her castle, ruling Suibom with an iron fist from the comfort of their bedroom. She is cold, cruel, and indifferent to the suffering of their people; selfish, only caring about her own comfort at the exploitation of others.
Ivy Plantkin, (-Ivo Robitnik) known to the underground as the Chicken Woman (-Eggman), is the leader of the Chicken Coup, a powerful army of nature-loving mages fighting to reclaim land from Static's rule. Ivy is the most brilliant of those mages, both kind and competent.
The Meteres Twins (kilo "meter"), Key and Loe ("ki-lo" meter), known collectively as the Heads (-Tails) are living proof that two heads are not always better than one. If anything they're even stupider when they're together. They're Static's personal guards, two weirdly tanky 8 year olds that Static finds sooo goddamn annoying.
Annie Thorn (-Amy Rose) is the estranged wife of Static. She was forced into a marriage with Static for purely transactional reasons. She fucking hates it.
Anklette (-Knuckles) is just Rouge the Bat in Knuckles' body. Sly, smooth, sociable, and selfish, with a penchant for stealing.
Shimmer (-Shadow) is the cheeky and charming host of "Shimmer's Spotlight," Suibom's number one TV show. He's also Suibom's number two assassin, who's down horrendous for Static and does pretty much all his missions for her. Born in the countryside to the Plantkin family, a terrible accident led him to discover a thirst for blood that hasn't been quenched since.
Tired of writing detailed character bios. Speed round! Rosary (-Rouge) is a modest, plainly-dressed nun with no interest in material possessions and hates lying. Iota* (-Omega) is a peaceful nature spirit who's basically Baymax. Blizzard (-Blaze) is a chaotic terrorist with ice powers. S.O.O.T. (-Silver) is a weapon of mass destruction buried 200 years ago, only to be reawakened again.
And of course. Small the Cat. A vicious predator with an 99.99% kill rate. He's Suibom's number one assassin. Toady is the one victim he's never been able to kill, preventing him from having a 100% kill rate.
*Not really satisfied with this name for Inverse!Omega. Prone to change.

anyway here's akechi's learnset - he's the wildcard in this au. in an inverse of canon, his starting persona is gonna be hereward, with loki as his raoul equivalent, and sabaoth instead of satanael
it's primarily based on loki, however it's got a few elements of robin hood's moveset thrown in for character flavour reasons, and some of ryuji's moves for game balancing reasons

my brain feels like it’s about to explode but. actor au where the events of persona 3 are all fictional- and the members of SEES + ryoji are all just really good friends in the entertainment industry. (disclaimer that this au concept. is very ryoji-biased bc i love him but like. trust me you can apply this to any character/relationship you are obsessed with)
yeah, the arisato twins don’t have to die in this au (which is a win bc they’re both neat!!). but!! i think there’s a lot of wholesome and fun potential by giving the characters more time to interact and fuck around.
like. just imagine all of the stupid outtakes that could happen in the most serious moments because they’re all just vibing and having a fun time on set. it’s just?? hilarious to me for some reason? in so many ways these “outtakes” of sorts can be considered an “inverse” of p3′s general theme and tone. and im just obsessed with that dichotomy.
you can have shit like ryoji not being able to say all of his december angst lines seriously and laughing and getting tounge-twisted... or junpei just coming onto set with something incredibly stupid or pulling some fun shenanigans bc he’s GreatTM. or koromaru ends up just barking unexpectedly because he’s just a regular ass dog (and i love that). im sure you can think of a lot of examples on how to ruin p3 with comedy.
but!! it’s not only shits and giggles. i think part of what makes this au concept fascinating to me would be the relationship potential it has for the characters that either died or often stayed in isolation from other characters? (looking at you, shinjiro, chidori, and ryoji) and of course, it’s not exclusive to this au concept and could be done within a canon divergent au.
if there’s any takeaway i’ve had from my p3 playthrough... i’ve always felt that some characters should have had the chance to interact more? ryoji and aigis are a good example- while they do have an established dynamic, they do deserve a proper resolution (at least to me). and being ryoji-biased as i am, i feel like he could’ve had?? cool friendships with other members of SEES? yukari comes to mind (there’s a great yukari and ryoji friendship hc post... i think about it at least twice a month but ANYWAY).
ALSO hamuko (femc)!! i think it’d be nice if like. she could visit the set and still be friends with SEES?? or minato could visit- if they were doing a film production that followed the female protagonist. they’re both good characters and i just wanna see them vibe!!
and im just. i get emotional thinking about all of SEES- i think they’re a great assortment of characters and i just?? wanna see them laugh and be happy y’know?? and the arisato twins can lead perfectly normal lives too...
anyways that’s all. if any of you have dumb interpretations of an actor au pls lmk i’d love to hear it!!

I was wondering, in Love and Music AU, was it difficult for Barbara to reconcile the image she had of Strickler as a teen crush with the real Strickler? Did reality leave her disappointed in any way? Were there maybe other ways in which he surprised her? And inversely - was HE at any point afraid of disappointing her, after she started to get to know Strickler the human rather than Janus the celebrity? I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS but this will do for now
This is such a good question!
The answer in Barbara’s case is that getting to know him actually made him better. Because her vision of Janus as a teen was cobbled together from magazine interviews, music videos, and private fantasy, and the end result was a character who was too perfect to be real.
But when she meets Strickler she’s not a teenager anymore. She’s a woman who’s known love, betrayal, and heartbreak; she’s a mother who’s had to raise a child alone. She doesn’t need perfect, she needs honest. So it’s actually a relief for her to see that there’s a man behind the Janus persona.
Strickler’s problem is a little different. See, he’s never had a real relationship. Oh, he’s dated to be sure, back in the early days when he was still in the band with Otto and Andrei.
But those relationships were strategic and closer to a business transaction than anything else. Be seen in public a few times, get caught kissing on a beach somewhere, walk a red carpet or two, have a dramatic breakup, then part ways with both your names fresh in the public’s mind ahead of your next album release or movie. Efficient and easy. And if your schedules aligned, you’d get a bit of fun out of it too.
But something lasting? Something real? That wasn’t what he was interested in back then. And by the time he wanted that, he felt like he had too much going on to pursue it.
And then comes Barbara. He’s used to people trying to ingratiate themselves to him in pursuit of tabloid tidbits, or his money, or the power of his name, so he treats her warmth towards him with skepticism at first. But the more he talks to her, the more he realizes that she’s genuinely interested in him. Not Strickler, record producer; not Janus, the flirty and charming performer; not--ugh--Waltolomew, Morgana Stricklander’s son. Just him. Walter.
And he is scared of disappointing her. Because he knows about her crush on him, knows that she’s seeing him through rose-tinted glasses made brighter by nostalgia. What if she balks at what’s revealed when she takes them off?
So, yeah. There are definitely issues on both sides early in the relationship, not including all the problems that come with being a normal person dating a celebrity who is also your son's manager/producer. They go through quite a few tough spots before the road to happily ever after smooths out.

In the Reverse Trio AU is there, like, a general consensus as to how the Valerie situation would be like if Sam were the half-ghost?
Personally, there are three/four different scenarios that I can see happening:
1) Valerie and Sam are still at odds with each other as both students and rivals
In this scenario the original plot between Valerie and Tucker would be recycled, only to have Danny become interested in her instead. Aside from Sam's jealousy, there's the added danger and internal conflict of, "what am I doing? Crushing on the very same girl that wants my best friend killed?" that Danny could go through.
That's the sort of conflict that would've been nice to see explored, both in this AU and in canon.
Following this alternative, Technus would still use Valerie to distract Sam through her emotions, only that this time he'd be using her jealousy against her. And since she already distrusts Valerie, she would have even more reasons to, unlike Danny, immediately accept Tucker's theory that Technus is pushing them together to keep her busy. Whereas Val's reinforced hatred would be a result of Sam all too gladly and eagerly destroying a Valerie robot lookalike.
2) Valerie and Sam crush on each other or become friends as civilians
Deep down, Val and Sam have a lot more in common than canon was willing to admit. From their action-y, take charge personalities, to their mutual distrust of the A-listers.
There could be a moment when, after being picked on by the popular crowd, Sam would angrily snap at Valerie like, "Now you understand why I've never been able to stomach those shallow jerks?!", and, after being thrown away like a used tissue by her so-called friends, she would.
This alternative is mostly so it resembles canon, except that, unlike Danny, I think Sam would actually struggle trying to decide it she can indeed be friends/together with a girl who hates a part of her.
Also, Valerie and Sam dating comes from the fact that there's nothing better than a couple of ass-kicking girlfriends. Sorry, I don't make the rules.
I can also see their relationship as platonic, though, because of the things they have in common and because, maybe, it'd be good for Sam to have a girl friend. As tight as they are, I'm sure there're things she can't really talk about with Danny and Tucker.
And don't tell me these two wouldn't have a blast talking shit of shallow things such as the beauty pageant. Remember, your friends are the ones you talk shit about others with, not the ones you talk shit about LOL
3) Gregor/Elliot and Val's roles are inversed.
In this scenario Elliot would the rich kid whose life was accidentally ruined by Sam to the point he begins to hunt her, and who eventually develops a kinship to her.
While Val would be the mysterious exchange student who happens to love space, and be cool, and pretty and into Danny who he crushes on because they seem to have a lot in common. And who Sam would suspect of being a member of the GIW because to sell her fake persona she goes around wearing white, NASA or space related stuff.
I came up with this basically because I said, "if the trio's roles are reversed, why not reverse Elliot and Valerie's too?"
Any thoughts?

Miraculous: Tales in the Opposite Universe (Inversed Personas AU): Chapter Two part 3
This story is a fanfiction (Not an official script for an episode of the TV show). Some characters result from Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir (original title: Miraculous: Les aventures de Ladybug et Chat Noir). It contains some original characters (OC) but they're fanon. All rights reserved to ZagToon.
Part one part two
The duo looks on Alya and Nino who are discussing about event from yesterday. Alya: "Are you aware two other heroes made their appearances to Paris ? They are similar to Rouge Chance and Alley Cat. We get two Ladybugs and two Cats in the same world." Nino: "Yeah. I've already seen, Alya. These dudes could easily catch Lycène Bleue if they expand their team." Aly: "You talk about our superheroes. Their mission of removing the Butterfly miraculous to Lycène has gone on for too long. I've heard too it's Lycène who has stolen the Ladybug earrings." N (pessimist): "Tsst. They loose their Miraculouses. They retrieve them back after. They can retake them later. That's the circle of life, dudette." Aly: "Parisians are tired of Chance, Alley and Lycène anyway. They aren't both different from each others." N: "C'mon Alya. It seems you're talking the Fathom Company's speech." Aly: "Don't make the comparison, Nino. It's Fathom&Co. who are the true evil guys. I don't compare the heroes with them. We aren't inactive against Company's actions." N: "Okay. Just be careful." Aly: "You're the dude I love, Nino." At ten meters of Alya and Nino, Mylène and Ivan discuss about a plan: It's an anarchist action. Mylène: "How about we go tag the villa of Fathom together, Ivan ?" Ivan (enthoutiastic): "Oh yeah ! That's a great idea ! But the security agents ?" Myl: "We will make a diversion. They must be busy to the diversion while we vandalize the wall." I: "Cool. I love you, Mylène." Myl: "I love you, Ivan." Next couple is Nathaniel and Marc. A third person (a stawberry-blonde-haired and tan-ish skinned girl) is with them.
Tumblr media
Nathaniel: "This meeting is really boring. If I want to draw, I will draw a cartoon about Fathom inside of a target." Marc (teasing): "You're really creative, Nath'. While you draw it, I will write the WORST critical article ever on the company. I can't imagine the anger of the CEO when he'll read that on medias." The third person takes the speak. 3rd person: "It seems you are both motivated, my pals. Are you dreaming ?" Mrc (to the previous): "I hope you have a better idea than ours, Mel. " 3rd p/Mel: "I have a dream for you two. What if you invent a power of hypnosis to control people? That would be practical in your stories." Nath: "You should say: A counter-hypnosis against Fathom Company. And the employees of Fathom could be freed from the grip of the company. We could force these guys to publish our comic. Marc and I had worked the masterpiece since a too long time and they still reject it. They must hate us." Mrc (tongue-dragging): "And we hate them." Mel: "I think about an hypnosis for reasoning them. Let's be pacifists." Wayhem comes to the three friends. W (enjoying): "And reasoning Lycène Bleue too. To redeem her." Mel: "Hey ! Bonjour Wayhem." Nath and Marc (simultaneous but evasive): "Salut." W: "How are you, pals ?" While Wayhem talks with the trio, Marinette and Adrien continue to pay attention to their next 'strangeful friends'. They look to Alix and Max. The Adrienette duo could be happy to see Alix again (since she is gone in time travel as Bunnyx for prevent Monarch to steal the Rabbit miraculous) but they figure out Alix isn't in her normal state: She seems like fearful (unlike her countpart who is brave, sportive) holding a rabbit plush in her shaking hands. Max (worried): "Are you sure you are okay, Alix ?" Alix (shaking): "Okay, Max I admit: I'm not fine." Mx: "Everything will be okay here. There isn't police on-site." Alx: "How would you like me not to worry ? I'm sure Fathom is sending their agents for spy all of us." Mx: "No one spy will come here, Alix. There is no wi-fi at the quai." Alx (going to panic): "Nobody believes me. Not even my dad. Not even my bro." Mx: "There's a lot worse than Fathom Company in the world. Remember this akumatized AI (Artificial Intelligence) that nearly neutralized Chance and Alley: I still believe this event is the proof AIs are a threat for the humanity. Meanwhile, it always exists an alternate against Fathom AND uncontrolled electronical programs: The struggle for the freewill." Alix relaxes after listenning his speech. Alx: "You always know how to reassure me, Max." Max smiles. The next seconds, the Adrienette duo looks on Kim and Ondine. Kim (exhausted): "I am not in shape today. Why have you invited me here, Ondine ?" Ondine: "Mel has sent me a SMS for a rally with everybody. (encouraging) Keep up, Kim ! That's not the moment for lie down. We retake the road later." Kim sighs. K (thinking): "We aren't yet in the end of the day." For each inspected countpart, Marinette and Adrien become both more confused. They suddenly hear a boisy dispute behind them: "Seriously, Chloé ?!" They look at what's going on: It's Sabrina. She's berating Chloé. Sabrina (rigorous): "You have forgotten the files ? I need this files for introduce the new ideas for the school." Chloé (submissive and a slightly intimidated): "I'm so so… sorry, Sabrina. What can I do to make you forgive me ?" S (disciplinarian tone): "You will clean up the Mr Damocles' office, next Monday." Chl (likely unsure, forcing a smile): "As you wish, 'boss'." The Adrienette duo is amazed to see how Sabrina had the high ground on Chloé: That's a role reversal ! M (thinking): "I hope Sabrina isn't a bully like the Chloé we know. I remember Sabrina WAS Chloé's best 'friend' (in reality, she was her sidekick)."
Twelve meters further, Juleka and Rose are talking. These girls had temporary turned their attention to the recent Sabrina's berating scene. Luka is discretly joining them. Juleka (acting like an aristocrat to Rose): "I guess Sabrina is always polite as usual. 'Ma chère'." Rose: "Pff… I don't care about our class representative, Juleka. She acts like a sergeant from the army and she scares to each bystander. I will say her: I don't give a s***."
J: "We're come here to prove we aren't thugs. So, be polite during the meeting. Just one time like for the previous times." R (annoyed): "Are you kidding me, Jul' ? I say you again: You're not my mom ! (calming down) F***, We are girlfriends. So, you don't need to do your Demoiselle's here. Nobody can force you to act like that." J (joyful): "You're really adorable, Rose." R (ashamed, thinking): "It will be terrible, today." Luka joins the discuss with the two girls. Luka (sarcastical tone): "You're making efforts ? Bravo." And Juleka seems upset in reason of her brother's presence. J: "I hope you don't come to trash another place. If you dare in there, I'm not available for you to make that, today." Lk: "This place was our home, Jul'. You must remember I will never trash the ship Liberty." J: "I mostly remember you've vandalized Bob's office at his recording company by using tag bombs with the help of Ivan and Mylène. It was the previous year. 'Mr Plagiarism' has been mad at you because of that." Lk: "He had just said too bad about our real father." In this moment, Marinette (who is already dumbfounded enough) pays the attention to the Couffaine siblings and Rose's conversation. M (whispering): "Adrien. Do you think we must talk to them ? I would like to ask some questions to Luka, Juleka and Rose." A (whispering): "Let's go to talk with them. The siblings are effectively related to the ship." While the two teenagers prepare to come approach the trio, Mylène and Ivan suddenly join the Couffaine siblings and Rose. Step after step, Marinette and Adrien advance but Rose immediatly heards the two guests coming. She calls out them. R: "Hey you two bast…" The 'Kitty Section' is collectively surprised. They look at the blonde-haired boy. They recognize 'him'. J, Lk, R, I and Myl/The Kitty Section gang: "Adrien ?!" The Adrienette pair is surprised too. Meanwhile, they rethink about Cerise's instructions. They must be vigilant what they're going to say. R: "What the f*** are you doing here ?" Adrien feels worried. He fears being hunted down again like yesterday. A (nervous): "Huh… Ye…" Adrien needs to corrects his words. A: "Huh… You must have me confused with someone else. My name is… Nathan."
The Kitty Section gang has doubts on 'Nathan'. They glower at him. Mylène (to Adrien): "You sound like Adrien, 'Nathan'. Is it one of your tricks for trying to prank us ?" Adrien tries to erase suspicions. A: "A prank ? I haven't accessories nor any phone on me. It's the first time I come at Paris. Wayhem is my guide for my journey. Interrogate him and you will know it's true." A short moment of silence happens. And after, Mylène answers. Myl: "I hope you're not a troublemaker like Adrien the Prince of Prankers." Mylène turns her look at the blue-haired girl. Myl: "And you ? What's your name ?" M: "I am… Germaine. I am a tourist, me too. Cerise is my guide."

I love the Jungle Bandit/Poulty man Au, but can you imagin the inverse. Scar is a new employee at a chain of Resale shops known as The Bardge. He falls in love with his boss/the Ceo Grian, and decides to kidnap him as a villain. Scar also learns this way that Grian has no selfcare skills, and after switching into a new superhero persona To rescue him, Scar begins a routine where he kidnaps Grian, forces some self care on him, and he gets saved. It freaked grian out at first, but he got the memo
Grian is wondering why Dr. Scar cares about how much sleep he gets. It’s weird. At least the Grey Puma saves him, but its still wierd.

kiralamouse replied to yourpost:Not to once again start in on trying to decipher...
If they’re well into the tour, I go back to it all being deliberately staged, Drama and all. I’ve seen performers at an annual RenFest who seem to be improvising the weirdest stuff, but you see the same “improv” in different shows - the Six could do the same. But ofc that’s another layer of complexity… who ARE they under their stage personas, then???
Like, if you wanna go through the entire thought process that got me to this point, I was originally thinking about the whole “this contest was staged to make a point” twist aspect of the show (which is pretty explicit in the Broadway version at least--they 100% scripted the contest and the infighting and stuff) and how long they could reasonably keep that twist under wraps. I was wondering if this was a Hannah Montana Movie situation where the whole audience is just supposed to keep the secret?
But then I was like, OK, no. Assuming this music in the show is all diegetic, the audience 100% knows this is scripted/staged to at least a degree because you don’t just break into musical numbers in real life. And these songs are happening in real life. So the audience knows this competition is fake going in (even if they weren’t spoiled). What they potentially don’t know is what the fake competition is in service to. And also, and the end of the day, it doesn’t super matter if it’s a secret or not. Like, IRL I knew the twist going in and that didn’t change my enjoyment of the show.
Sidenote, this show is really weird to talk about because of the absolute lack of fourth wall effectively thrusting you into the narrative as soon as you step into the theater and forcing you to differentiate between the show and “the show”.
Anyway, that got me thinking about just the show composition in general and yeah, they could have--and surely did--script most if not all of the bits in the show in universe. The line I specifically mention is the one that’s most likely a genuine out of character line imo. Because she gets the, “Thomas Crowmwell Among the Ministers” line earlier in the show which is a line you write for your bandmate who is a history nerd I think so it wouldn’t be crazy for that same person to miss her scripted line to answer a question about a topic she knew the answer to out of habit. Which leads directly into your question of who are they as people, separately from their stage personas.  And I’m not gonna get into the logistics of reincarnation/resurrection/mythic manifestation/etc because it is 1 AM and, either way, I’m not Moss or Marlow so I’d truly just be making up an answer if I came to one at all but assuming the Queens in-universe are some legitimate representation of the historical Queens and assuming they wrote the show for the reasons it seems they did--to reclaim their stories, I would guess that they are playing heightened versions of their actual selves (whatever “actual selves” means in this context). Because I feel like making a whole show where you’re like, “We’re going to finally tell the world who we are,” and then giving wildly inauthentic info would be weird (unless they had, I guess, painted themselves in an entirely positive light which I don’t think they do because they’re fighting the whole show). So I think the show from I Don’t Need Your Love to the end (and especially the song Six) are the best representations of who they are or at least who they want to be because midway through IDNYL is when they drop the act that the competition is real so it’s only like one level of acting, not two at that point (in the world of the show I mean). And I think, if put in this position, and asked to write an AU for your traumatic life, most people would be inclined to be sincere (even moreso than they would have been for their main songs which I think are def partially tongue in cheek except for HoS, IDNYL, and the last bit of AYWD).
Anyway, this is more words than needed to be written on this topic but the amount I care about a subject is inversely proportional to how much it matters in the grand scheme of things.

psst! i wanna hear #s 2, 5, 6, 8, 12, 17, 18, and 20 about the humans! all of them B)
My partner is trying to kill me. Do you see this? Anyway, long-ass belated ask response under the cut.
2. what’s their opinion on Logan Thackaray?
Lynette, Amara, Rasheem, Vesh: He exists.Miguel: Who?Galen: So in canon I suspect he doesn’t have any strong feelings. But commander AU… I’m trying and failing to find a more tactful way of saying that he makes Logan his bitch. I hate my brain. Galen would just really enjoy breaking him.
5. describe their childhood.
Lynette’s earlier childhood was pretty unremarkable. Calm, comfortable. Two brothers, one a twin (fraternal, you’d never know it to look at them,) and one several years younger. Then somewhere in her teens, her mother died suddenly and everything went downhill very fast. Her father took it very hard. A couple years of irresponsible living (and spending) later, he died as well, leaving the twins to try to pull things back together. Some extended family was able to help them a bit, but they were never very high up the noble hierarchy, and in his grief their father nearly ruined them. It’s been a slow, long struggle for stability since.
The Landi siblings are odd to talk about, since throughout her childhood, everyone including Amara saw her as a boy. A particularly effeminate boy that exactly no one was surprised to learn wasn’t straight, but still a boy. (Probably the biggest surprise came in learning that “he” had any interest in girls at all.)
Amara grew up distinctly aware of the series of roles she was expected to fill. Her family ran a textile trade, which she was expected to continue. Nobility came with the expectation that she’d continue the family line by some day marrying and having children. And alongside that, the expectation she didn’t even realize bothered her the most until it struck her there might be an alternative, the expectation she’d do so as a man. She learned to handle pressures from all directions. Mesmer magic ended up coming naturally to a mind that was already trained to carefully manage appearances and keep focus on multiple projects at once. And privately, it allowed some release through fantasy. She got very good at convincingly changing her appearance.
Rasheem’s childhood is marked by an inverse kind of frustration. He’s long felt like the extra, the untalented one that no one really expects to do much. The sad thing is, he’s not entirely wrong. He has a complicated blend of resentment and admiration for his sister, whose talents he tried and failed to emulate. (Though at the time he saw it as his brother he was trying to keep up with. He’s still not entirely used to having a sister.) But he does still love her, because when it’s really mattered she’s been quick to support him.
Galen was a farm boy. An awkward, awkward farm boy who spent entirely too much time doing gods-know-what outside on his own, and who took far too much interest when he saw a priest of Grenth perform some minor necromancy. His family situation was pretty normal; hard working parents, a mother who ran a tight and clean household, and siblings he sometimes even managed to get along with. But he was always a bit detached from most people. Adolescence didn’t help. As a teen he was tall and lanky with the vaguest hints of facial hair that refused to grow in more than wisps, and he was still as awkward and nerdy (I’m not sure Tyria even has that word, but the concept applies) as ever. He grew into his looks.
Vesh’s was not good. Some details are still fuzzy to me. I know she grew up in DR, and her name was originally Eliana. She was only raised by one parent, I’m still undecided which, and she’s not even sure whether or not the other is alive. The one she was raised by definitely isn’t, they likely died when she was anywhere from 9-14. She was always desperately poor, and despite her parent’s insistence on Elonian lineage, obviously of very Orrian heritage. By the time she was a teenager, a certain knack for the more abstract, energy-focused aspects of necromancy was manifesting. That’s when she gave up the struggle to not be the creepy Orrian girl entirely. The persona of Parivesh, witch of the Mists was born. It isn’t the only identity she goes by these days, just the easiest for her to fall back on. She’s developed a few different personas to deal with the constant sense of lack of belonging. Not all of them female, I should note.
Miguel was part of a big, reasonably well-off family of half a dozen or so siblings, of which he was one of the younger. He ended up left to his own devices a lot, and got himself into plenty of trouble. Modern diagnostics would say he has a pretty clear case of ADHD that he never outgrew, so “shut up Miguel” is something he heard a lot growing up. From pretty much everyone. But he doesn’t hold any resentment. He’s a big exuberant puppy of a person, and besides, he ended up doing pretty well for himself anyway.
6. do they feel particularly blessed by one of the Six?
Lynette, in-game choice Grenth: This has some canon relevance, as she’s a moderately religious person who’s had a lot of reason to think about death, and had to make peace with it.Amara, Lyssa: There definitely is a sense of appropriateness here. I’m not sure she’s particularly devoted, but it’s difficult not to feel a connection to the dual-faced goddess when she herself has had two very different faces she’s shown the world.Rasheem, Dwayna: Not really.Galen: …I’m not even going to answer that.Vesh, Kormir: She isn’t at all the religious sort, but if any god could earn her genuine respect, it’s the one who was once human. I do think Kormir speaks to her in a way the others can’t.Miguel, Melandru: Um… He likes birds? That’s nature-y, right?
8. do you have an in-game location for their “home?”
Lynette lives in one of the Shaemoor houses. I have a specific one I imagine, but it’s not terribly distinct description-wise, and I like to imagine it a bit bigger and fancier. I figure the whole world would realistically be scaled up a bit, anyway.Amara and Rasheem live somewhere in the Ossan quarter. I know I’ve picked out specific houses at one point, but I don’t quite remember. Pretty sure Rasheem ended up moving in with his boyfriend, but IIRC he’s in the same general area.Galen: There’s a little house in Kweli, one of the few if not the only one with a real interior. And it’s impossible to AFK in because the periodic forged attacks go right by the door and aggro on you.Vesh: …No actually.Miguel has a particular spot in Lion’s Arch, overlooking the harbor.
12. how do they feel about sylvari?
Lynette has had at least one sylvari as a long-term work partner and intimate friend. Generally positive. Occasionally remembers that they don’t have the same concept of class that humans do, and as someone who spends a lot of time worried about class structure, she finds this refreshing.Amara has no strong feelings. She knows some sylvari. They’re nice.Rasheem is much the same.Galen gets the title of resident dendrophile. He’s functionally (perhaps literally by now?) married to one, so… He’s generally had good experiences with them. Though things like the entire race spawning from the same mother and the fact that his husband is technically 14 are still weird if he thinks about them for too long.Vesh strikes me as the one most likely to take an academic interest in how sylvari work, if given the opportunity. The complex magical underpinnings of life as we know it are very much her thing, and she’d probably end up asking a lot of questions about the Dream to any sylvari willing to answer. She’s definitely had some sylvari friends by now, but I’m not sure if she ever got around to pestering them about it.Miguel will likely never get over the weirdness of (theoretically) being able to have conversations with someone who was literally born yesterday. But as people they seem alright.
17. how well does the dance animation fit their personality?
Lynette: Not very.Amara: It could be worse.Rasheem: Ditto.Galen: no
Tumblr media
Vesh: Not very.Miguel: In one of his sillier moments, yeah, I could see it.
18. what sort of climates do they prefer, if they care at all?
Lynette is pretty comfy with Krytan weather.Amara is much the same. Though she does like when it’s a bit cooler, because she likes layers of clothing.Rasheem is also comfortable with Krytan weather.Galen likes cold weather. He finds it invigorating. And yet, he ended up living in the desert. Sigh.Vesh has no strong preference, though I think she might favor warmer.Miguel likes it hot. If only because he looks damn good with his shirt open. Or off.
20. what’s your favorite thing about playing them?
Seeing as I don’t actually RP them, answers are skewed toward either the superficial, or just what I generally like most about the characters.Lynette is a power lesbian and makes me cry because I’m gay.Amara is gorgeous and has the best judgmental stares, and I cry because I’m gay.Rasheem has a damn fine ass.Galen “Saltybitch” Blake is the saltiest of bitches, and makes a wonderful avatar for my grumpiest of moods. While somehow managing to be unfairly hot.Vesh’s abs make me cry because I’m gay.Miguel Enrique de Arca Santiago e Pereira is the most extra thing on two legs, and I love having a character like that.
