Walking and Talking with Jesus
Can you imagine walking, talking, eating and laughing with Jesus day in and day out? I believe He had to lighten up and laugh with those misfits He called to be with Him 24/7 for three-and-a-half years. I appreciate how THE CHOSEN film series has captured some of those shenanigans and how patient Jesus is with each of the disciples. And the same goes for us and our shenanigans in our own lives…

Hagah: The Noisy Meditation | Sarah E. Fisher [Psalm 1:1-4]
Source: Hebrew Word Lessons Series: Be Still & Know
Meditation: hagah (verb), to meditate, groan, moan, growl. (Strong’s 1897); hegeh (masc noun) or hagut (fem noun) or hagig (masc noun), a rumbling, moan -ing, a meditation (Strong’s 1899, 1900 & 1901);
higgayon, meditational music. (Strong’s 1902)
Phonetic: haw-gaw; heh-geh; ha-goot; ha-geeg;
1.] Meditation on GOD's Word
The word “meditation” freaks some people out.
It has often been associated with eastern religions — but it’s very much associated with the Bible. To meditate, Biblically, is kind of a combination bet- ween studying Scripture & praying.
The Psalms were written as musical, reflective, prayerful songs. It is meant to be experienced, thru song by seeing the words, & uttering them in melodic form — and then meditating on them.
The very first Psalm talked about meditating on the law [torah] of GOD:
Psalm 1:1-4 Way of the Righteous & the Wicked ¹ Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers.
² But his delight is in the Law of the YHWH, & on HIS law he meditates [yeh-h’geh] day & night.
³ He is like a tree planted by streams of water —yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, & who prospers in all he does.
⁴ Not so the wicked!
For they are like chaff driven off by the wind.
Meditating on Scripture helps us grow, like a well -watered plant. We will blossom & grow fruit and that fruit will help feed others.
But we can’t do this well unless we meditate on the Word of GOD.
Joshua 1:8-9 This Book of the Law must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite [w-hagita] it day & night so that you may be careful to do every -thing written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in all you do. ⁹ Have I not commanded you to be strong & courageous? Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for YHWH your GOD is with you wherever you go.”
………………………………………………………………… Meditating on the Word of GOD, day and night, was quintessential to good living. It would bring success [not measured by a human definition of success, but by YHWH’s definition of prosperity & success] …………………………………………………………………
The greatest success was to walk alongside GOD & have a solid relationship with HIM.
Meditating on GOD’s Word would bring us as close to GOD as we could be, while we live our lives here on Earth.
………………………………………………………………… All of our meditation should be focused on YHWH, not on anything related to chaos, evil, violence or destruction. …………………………………………………………………
Instead we should utter words of praise to the CREATOR & MAKER of all things beautiful:
Psalm 77:11-15 [Asaph:] I shall remember the deeds of YHWH; I will certainly remember YOUR wonders of old. I will meditate [w-hagiti] on all YOUR works, & on YOUR deeds with thanksgiving.
YOUR way, GOD, is Holy; what GOD is great like our GOD? YOU are the GOD WHO works wonders; YOU have made known YOUR strength among the peoples. By YOUR power YOU have redeemed YOUR people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
Meditating on the characteristics of GOD was  agood practise; HE was the Wonder-MAKER & the Redeemer; meditating on HIS goodness was the best way to live, filled with hope:
Psalm 143:5-6 [David:] I remember the days of old; I meditate [hagiti] on all YOUR accomplishments; I reflect on the work of YOUR hands.
I spread out my hands to YOU; my soul longs for YOU, like a weary land. Selah.
David was a big practitioner of meditation.
He started his day, meditating to YHWH: Psalm 5:1-3 Listen to my words, YHWH, consider my sighing [my meditation: hagigi]. Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my KING & my GOD, for to YOU I pray.
In the morning, YHWH, YOU will hear my voice; in the morning I will present my prayer to YOU & be on the watch.
David began his day in meditation & he ended his day just the same: Psalm 63:6-7 [David:] When I remember YOU on my bed — I meditate [eh-h’geh] on YOU in the night watches, for YOU have been my help, and in the shadow of YOUR wings I sing for joy.
2.] A Noisy Meditation
Unlike eastern meditation, where you close your mind, close your mouth, clear your mind & focus on a solitary thought — Biblical meditation has taught us that sound was an integral part of meditation.
Meditation was not meant to be practiced silently… you were to express, moan, & use your voice to reflect your feelings. Hagah was sometimes described as growling lions and moaning doves:
Isaiah 31:4 | For this is what YHWH says to me:
“As the lion or young lion growls [meditates: yeh-h’geh] over his prey—against which band of shepherds is called out & he will not be terrified at their voice nor disturbed at their noise, so will YHWH of armies come to wage war on Mount Zion and on its hill.”
Isaiah used this idea of focused meditation—like a lion growling over its prey—to show when you are hyper- focused nothing can distract you; fear is nothing when you are earnestly focused on GOD.
………………………………………………………………… But we are fearful creatures. It’s hard to be so devoutly meditative that we block out our worries and fears. …………………………………………………………………
YHWH gets that. Meditation can sometimes be a focused prayer asking for YHWH’s help:
Isaiah 38:14 | “Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter; I moan [meditate: eh-h’geh] like a dove; my eyes look wistfully to the heights; LORD, I am oppressed, be my security.”
Muttering and moaning were meant to be bi-products of meditation. Like grumbling lions and moaning doves —human meditation was expressed orally.
This was sometimes translated as a proclamation, an utterance, a sound or a sighing. When the mouth or tongue meditated, it made a sound:
Psalm 37:30-31 [David:] The mouth of the righteous utters [meditated: yeh-h’geh] wisdom & his tongue speaks justice. The Law of his GOD is in his heart; his steps do not slip.
Psalm 35:28 [David:] And my tongue shall proclaim meditate on [teh-h’geh] YOUR righteousness and YOUR praise all day long.
When the mouth meditated, it uttered a praiseful sound—singing and meditational uttering was the way to praise YHWH:
Psalm 71:22-24 | I will also praise YOU with a harp, & YOUR truth, my GOD; I will sing praises to YOU with the lyre, Holy ONE of Israel.
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to YOU; and my soul—which YOU have redeemed.
My tongue also will meditate  [teh-h’geh] on YOUR righteousness all day long; for they're put to shame —for they are humiliated who seek my harm.
3.] An Empty Meditation
Meditational singing & uttering were beautifully human.
So when humans started worshipping hand-made idols, it made no sense. How could humans wor- ship an object that couldn’t #sing or meditate or even speak?
Psalm 115:4-8 | Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths but they cannot speak; & they have eyes — but cannot see; they have ears, but cannot hear; they have noses, but cannot smell; they have hands, but can't feel; they have feet, but they cannot walk; they cannot make a sound [a meditation: yeh-h’gu] with their throat.
Those who make them will become like them, everyone who trusts in them.
………………………………………………………………… Golden idols could not meditate; they could not utter a word. They were worthless, & those who worshipped them would become like them…
worthless. …………………………………………………………………
Their meditations were misguided.
It was a pointless practise; meditating on pagan gods was like meditating on emptiness:
Psalm 2:1 | Why are the nations restless and the peoples plotting in vain meditating on emptiness [yeh-h’gu riq]?
………………………………………………………………… Plotting in vain (as most translations provide) was an empty meditation; it had no value or merit. It wasn’t focused on GOD, and it was focused on the worthless. …………………………………………………………………
4.] Misguided Meditations
Meditation was not exclusive to GOD’s righteous people — those who meditated on violence and destruction brought about violence & destruction:
Proverbs 24:1-2 | Do not be envious of evil people, nor desire to be with them — for their minds #plot [meditate on: yeh-h’geh] violence, and their lips talk of trouble.
………………………………………………………………… Mediums and spiritists of the occult mis-used meditation—by turning the focus on the dead instead of the living: …………………………………………………………………
Isaiah 8:19
When they say to you, “Consult the mediums & the spiritists who whisper — and [do] the meditations [w-ha-ma-h’gim],” should people not consult their god/idols? Should they consult the dead on behalf of the living?
The Adversary (ha-Satan) was the god of death and his followers (like mediums) focused on death, & destruction and chaos.
………………………………………………………………… We should never meditate on the dead, but should always meditate on YHWH alone, for HE is the GOD of Life! …………………………………………………………………
But humans, being human, have a bond with death. There is an utter fascination because the grave waits for everyone.
Many reject YHWH’s promise of salvation from death —& their meditations are on themselves and not on YHWH. There is a separation between CREATOR and creation:
………………………………………………………………… Isaiah 59:2-3 | Your wrongdoings have caused a separation between you and your GOD, & your sins have hidden HIS face from you so that HE does not hear. …………………………………………………………………
For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with wrongdoing; your lips have spoken deceit — your tongue #mutters [meditates on: teh-h’geh] wickedness…
The people meditated on the wrong things; their mutterings were wicked. But if they recognized and owed up to the fact that their #meditations were misguided, and they turned back to YHWH — they would benefit from a REDEEMER WHO would save them:
Isaiah 59:9-14, 19-20 …Therefore justice is far from us — & righteousness does not reach us; we hope for light, but there is darkness, for brightness, but we walk in gloom. We grope for the wall like people who are blind — we grope like those who have no eyes.
We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among those who are healthy — we are like the dead.
………………………………………………………………… ………………………………………………………………… All of us growl like bears, and moan sadly [moaningly moan: hagoh neh-h’geh] like doves; we hope for justice — but there is none; for salvation, but it is far from us. ………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………
For our wrongful acts have multiplied before YOU, & our sins have testified against us; for our wrong -ful acts are with us, & we know our wrongdoings:
offending and denying YHWH, and turning away from our GOD, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving & uttering [horow w-hogow] #lying words from the heart.
Justice is turned back, and righteousness stands far away; for truth has stumbled in the street, & uprightness cannot enter…
…So they will fear the name of YHWH from the west & HIS glory from the rising of the sun, for HE will come like a rushing stream — which the wind of YHWH drives.
”A Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those in Jacob who turn from wrongdoing,” declares YHWH.
Those who were against GOD were also against HIS followers. David’s enemies were described as plotters (meditators) against David:
Psalm 38:12-15 | [David:] Those who seek my life lay snares for me; and those who seek to injure me have threatened destruction, and they plot [meditate: yeh-h’gu] deception all day long.
But I, like a person who is deaf, do not hear; and I am like a person who cannot speak, who does not open his mouth.
Yes, I am like a person who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no arguments. For I wait for YOU, YHWH; YOU will answer, LORD my GOD.
Those who meditate on bringing destruction against YHWH and HIS people do not deserve a replied utterance — which was why David stayed silent.
YESHUA (JESUS) stayed silent when HIS enemies accused HIM.
The religious elite plotted/meditated on YESHUA’s destruction, and had HIM arrested. During HIS trial YESHUA stayed, primarily, silent:
Matthew 26:59-63a
Now the chief priests and the entire Council kept trying to obtain false testimony against JESUS, so that they might put HIM to death.
They did not find any, even though many false witnesses came forward.
But later on two came forward, and said, “This man stated, ‘I am able to destroy the Temple of GOD and to rebuild it in three days.’”
The High Priest stood up and said to HIM, “Do YOU offer no answer for what these men are testifying against YOU?” But JESUS kept silent . . .
YESHUA knew these people wanted to destroy HIM; it was their focus and meditation… the death and destruction of the only truly innocent ONE on the planet. The High Priest did not deserve a reply.
But when he point-blank asked YESHUA if HE was the MESSIAH, YESHUA broke HIS #silence:
Matthew 26:63b-68
And the High Priest said to HIM, “I place YOU under oath by the living GOD — to tell us whether YOU are the MESSIAH, the SON of GOD”
JESUS said to him, “You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see the SON of MAN sitting at the right hand of power, & coming on the clouds of Heaven.”
Then the High Priest tore his robes and said, “HE has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? See, you have now heard the blasphemy; what do you think?”
They answered, “HE deserves death!”
They spit in HIS face & beat HIM with their fists; & others slapped HIM, & said, “Prophesy to us, YOU MESSIAH; who is the one who hit YOU?”
At this, YESHUA returned to HIS silence. Who hit HIM? Ha-Satan (the Adversary) hit HIM, because the people bore the image of Satan that day.
Their hearts were not open to hearing the truth because their meditation is on death/destruction. They were deeply #immersed in the practices of GOD’s Opponent & their mouths #reflected their own misguided meditations.
Proverbs 15:28 The heart of the righteous ponders [meditates: yeh-h’geh] how to answer — but mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
5. YHWH Meditates & Moans
Those with righteous hearts would be willing to listen & contemplate, because they were YHWH’s image bearers.
YHWH constantly contemplated and meditated on HIS righteous people and HE always listened to them when they called.
But when humanity turned away from YHWH, it broke HIS heart. HE would moan & meditate for HIS lost people:
Jeremiah 48:29-31
[YHWH:] “We have heard of the pride of Moab— he is very proud— of his haughtiness, his pride, his arrogance, and his self-exaltation.
“I know his fury,” declares YHWH, “But it is futile; his idle boasts have accomplished nothing. Thus I will wail for Moab, for all of Moab I will cry out; I will moan [yeh-h’geh] for the men of Kir-heres.”
We're the object of YHWH’s meditation-moaning --HIS #focus is squarely on us because HE deeply cares for HIS people.
………………………………………………………………… The enigmatic fourth friend of Job emphasised the audible #meditation of YHWH towards HIS people: …………………………………………………………………
Job 37:1-5
[Elihu:] “At this also my heart trembles, & leaps from its place. Listen closely to the thunder of HIS [YHWH’s] voice, & the rumbling [meditation: w-hegeh] that goes out from HIS mouth.
Under the whole Heaven HE lets it loose, and HIS lightning travels to the ends of the Earth. After it, a voice roars; HE thunders with HIS majestic voice and HE does not restrain the lightning--when HIS voice is heard.
GOD thunders wondrously with HIS voice, doing great things -- which we do not comprehend.”
The meditations of YHWH are to be a reminder to us of what meditation is all about… focused, audible, contemplative prayer, & it brings with it wondrous beauty and awe.
6.] The Meditation of My Heart:
I will be Redeemed & Live!
When it all comes down to it, a deep meditation of Scripture highlights the focus of redemption. From the moment we messed up in the Garden—YHWH put a plan into place to save us, redeem us, & bring us home to HIM.
Eve & Adam, by their actions, had to leave Eden— but that’s not what GOD wanted… & so HE made a plan to conquer the human curse of death in order for us to be able to return to HIS Garden Kingdom.
Psalm 49 celebrated the Good News — and    understanding, of YHWH’s redemptive plan:
Psalm 49:1-15 [Sons of Korah:] Hear this all peoples; listen, all inhabitants of the world, both low & high, rich & poor together.
My mouth will speak wisdom, & the meditation of my heart [w-hagut libbi] will be understanding. I'll incline my ear to a proverb; I will express my riddle on the harp.
Why should I fear in days of adversity—when the injustice of those who betray me surrounds me— those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the abundance of their riches?
No one can by any means redeem another or give GOD a ransom for him—for the redemption of his soul is priceless, and he should cease imagining forever—that he might live on eternally, that he might not undergo decay.
For he sees that even wise people die; the foolish and the stupid alike perish & leave their wealth to others.
Their inner thought is that their houses are forever —and their dwelling places to all generations; they have named their lands after their own names.
But man in his splendour will not endure; he is like “𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵”. This is the way of those who are foolish, & of those after them who approve their words.
………………………………………………………………… Selah: Like sheep they sink down to Sheol; death will be their Shepherd; and the upright will rule over them in the morning, & their form shall be for Sheol to consume so they have no lofty home. …………………………………………………………………
But GOD'll redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, for HE will receive me. Selah Those who put their trust in death, will die… they will sink into the grave [Sheol]; but those who put their trust in YHWH, the GOD of Life, will rise up and be redeemed.
Sheol cannot hold them down.
They'll be received by YHWH, back in the Kingdom where they belong. YESHUA’s death paid for our entrance fee back into YHWH’s Garden Kingdom.
………………………………………………………………… HIS resurrection meant that death was conquered & all the children of GOD could follow in YESHUA’s footsteps & return home to YHWH. …………………………………………………………………
The Apostle Paul preached the Good News      of #salvation across the known world after      YESHUA’s death.
HE taught prayer & meditation should be though about & practised: Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, fellow believers, whatever is true/honourable/right/ or pure/lovely/commendable, if there is anything of excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
As for the things you have learned & received & heard & seen in me, practice these things, & the GOD of peace will be with you.
………………………………………………………………… ………………………………………………………………… Who is true, honourable, right, pure, lovely and commendable? YHWH! So when we meditate on these things our focus is in the right place. ………………………………………………………………… …………………………………………………………………
𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝗴𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗺𝗼𝗮𝗻 & 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗺… Meditating 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Don’t be afraid to get noisy… YHWH wants to hear from you! We should meditate as David meditated:
Psalm 19:14 [David:] May the words of my mouth & the meditation of my heart [w-heg’yown libbi] be acceptable in YOUR sight, YHWH my ROCK and my REDEEMER.

What a powerful reminder. It is all too easy to allow our thoughts to #dwell on cultural chaos & noise, unceasingly swirling around us―tugging at our minds and desiring to swallow up our hearts.
“LORD help us fix our thoughts on YOU; to choose to gently marinate in YOUR Word. Transform our minds as we meditate and 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.”

What I would love for you all to get from my short testimony...
When people first look at me, they have no idea that I have been through so much, or that I am as old as I am. I am 41, but look like I am in my mid-20's. I never smoked anything growing up. Never had a desire to do anything like that. I had drank in college, but now, it hurts my stomach to do that. I've been through numerous things--physical abuse, mental abuse, emotional abuse, sexual trauma as a child and as an adult, domestic violence, narcissism, miscarriage, and houselessness. I lived in my car for almost 9 months. Through all of this, I can still say that Yah is still good, and is still good to me. He never left my side. He protected me. He provided for me. He loved and adored me, even when I left Him for awhile. He still wanted and desired me. He was jealous for me. It was when He called me back to Him, that I decided to go all in, and live my life for Him no matter what.
Some may say, "Well, what did you have to do to get to this point?" My answer...A LOT! I really did. I had to do a lot of work.
I scheduled a routine where I would pray in the morning and in the evening outside. I worshipped Him during this time too.
I would read my Bible every day.
I would keep a prayer journal.
I would keep a gratefulness journal.
I would keep a positive affirmations journal about who Yah says I am.
I went to therapy to heal myself from all the past hurt and traumas.
I was even on medications for a little while to get my body back on track.
I changed how I ate, and ate more healthy and how the Holy Spirit wanted me to eat.
I changed what I wore, and wore things that were not form fitting and low-cut, or too short. I wore modest clothing.
I attended church every week.
I started speaking more positively over myself.
I watched what I would watch on TV and at the movies.
I was careful what I listened to on the radio, on TV, or online.
I had to let some friendships go that weren't the ones that Yah wanted for me.
I had to learn how to communicate.
I had to learn how to forgive. No matter what.
I had to learn to see people the way that Yah sees them.
I had to learn to minimalize and get rid of things that were taking up too much space in my head, heart, house, and life.
I had to learn that my money really wasn't my money, and everything belongs to Yah. I can at least tithe.
I had to learn to love myself. Then other people.
You see...I had to do quite a bit to heal. I am not even done yet. I have been delivered from spirits and habits and all the things that I had no idea I was having issues with at all. I had to learn spiritual warfare, to fight the Enemy. I had to learn to be a Kingdom Woman, and always do everything with Excellence. Most importantly, and this is where I am right now, is learning to love people...even when they betray you and hurt you. This lesson has just started, but already, I can tell a difference. When you learn to love people, you learn to love Yah even more. He created all of us. We are all created in His image. Today, just today, I have felt the Holy Spirit so thick. It was amazing!
If I could help anyone today by giving them one tip, it would be this...No matter how far you may think you have fallen, or how amazing you may think you are, that hole that you are trying to fill with drinking, with sex, with shopping, with porn, with everything under the sun...means NOTHING!!!! None of these things can fill that space in your life. It may seem like it, for a little while, but they can't do it. Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is literally the ONLY ONE who can! You won't be fully happy until you let Him into your heart and your life!
Here is a prayer to help you do that:
Dear Heavenly Father in Yeshua's name,
Here I am. I come before you right now, with a repentant heart. I know that I have sinned. I know that I made mistakes and Yeshua didn't have to die for my sins on that cross, but He did. He took my punishment, because that should have been me. I believe that Yeshua is the Son of G-d, and I accept Him into my heart, my mind, my soul, my spirit, and my body right now. Take over. Renew me. Restore me. Transform me. Use me as your vessel. I love you, Yeshua. I thank you at the chance to have a transformed life with You. Thank you for making me more like You more and more each and everyday. Take my heart. Take my life.
In Yeshua's name I pray,
Amen.
***If you said this prayer, and meant every word, send me a message. I would love to welcome you into Yah's family, and guide you on what to do next. ***
I love you all!
Until Friday!

Heart Attitude
Isaiah 66:2b (Youngs Literal Translation) … And unto this one I look attentively, Unto the humble and bruised in spirit, And who is trembling at My word. Heart Attitude                It is interesting what men will do to get God’s attention.  In Isaiah 66, God addresses all that man does for Him.  He is not looking for what we can build for him or the sacrifices that we can make unto Him. …

It’s the casual way Mobius sets his chaotic boyfriend The God of Mischief loose on everyone. Mobius is so attuned to Loki, he immediately knows how he’s going to react, offering him a gentle warning or permission to proceed. And Loki carefully waits for that permission before he acts, implying this is a familiar dynamic that’s been established beforehand.

Deeper Friendship with God Through Prayer
“In the topography of Christian prayer, petition may be the space where the self of the person praying is most overt. Thus petition offers the possibility of intimacy: Something close to my real self (or at least, what I perceive my real self to be) is now revealed before God. Of course, God already knows my real self, better than I will ever know it. The intimacy that follows my petitions is made possible not by God’s new knowledge of me but my new availability to God.
Consider a mundane analogy: My best friend finally tells me about the infatuation she has been nursing for two months. Of course, I spotted the infatuation myself seven weeks before. Still, our friendship deepens, not because I have learned something new, but because in being willing to tell me about the crush, my friend has become more available to me.
Similarly, even though God is the one “unto whom all…desires [are] known, and from whom no secrets are held”—that is, even though God already knew that I wanted whatever it is I am asking for—I become more available to God when I offer what I understand of myself before God. The promise of petition, therefore, is increased closeness, a deeper friendship, with God.”

June, 19 (Evening) Devotion
“My Beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies. Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my Beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.”
Song of Solomon 2:16, 17
Surely if there be a happy verse in the Bible it is this—“My Beloved is mine, and I am his.” So peaceful, so full of assurance, so overrunning with happiness and contentment is it, that it might well have been written by the same hand which penned the twenty-third Psalm. Yet though the prospect is exceeding fair and lovely—earth cannot show its superior—it is not entirely a sunlit landscape. There is a cloud in the sky which casts a shadow over the scene. Listen, “Until the day break, and the shadows flee away.”
There is a word, too, about the “mountains of Bether,” or, “the mountains of division,” and to our love, anything like division is bitterness. Beloved, this may be your present state of mind; you do not doubt your salvation; you know that Christ is yours, but you are not feasting with him. You understand your vital interest in him, so that you have no shadow of a doubt of your being his, and of his being yours, but still his left hand is not under your head, nor doth his right hand embrace you. A shade of sadness is cast over your heart, perhaps by affliction, certainly by the temporary absence of your Lord, so even while exclaiming, “I am his,” you are forced to take to your knees, and to pray, “Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my Beloved.”
“Where is he?” asks the soul. And the answer comes, “He feedeth among the lilies.” If we would find Christ, we must get into communion with his people, we must come to the ordinances with his saints. Oh, for an evening glimpse of him! Oh, to sup with him tonight!

Intimacy with GOD | SOLD School [Romans 8:15]
1.] Intro
Hey guys, welcome to our sold value series.
In these videos, I'll be covering our values here at SOLD schools & there's six of them that we live by, that we treasure and value — and that we seek to explore all the treasures of these truths.
So in this session, it's about our 1st & primary value — which is intimacy with JESUS — it is what we are created for.
Meaning to know GOD & walk with HIM, & to make HIM known; in the beginning, we see GOD created Adam to walk with GOD in the cool of the day.
1.] Look Like JESUS
And here at SOLD, this is our primary way we know that GOD begins to develop us as people. [0:56]
Because one thing that HE has created us for, it says in Romans that HE predestined us to be conformed to the image of HIS SON.
So one thing that we're always pursuing is: “How can we be made to look more like JESUS?“
………………………………………………………………………………………………… And this is our life-long pursuit, and in different seasons GOD is positioning us to change us—to look more like HIM. …………………………………………………………………………………………………
And the way HE does that is by allowing us to come into direct contact with HIM — when we walk with GOD & have direct encounters with YHWH—by the HOLY SPIRIT, we begin to hear HIS voice.
We begin to encounter HIS Presence, & that in turn begins to transform us.
And this in turn allows us to receive life from HIM; & this is our greatest value because when we look like HIM, we could shine HIM wherever we go [1:49]
2.] Walking with JESUS
And this is why JESUS died, to reconcile us back to the FATHER—so we would be HIS sons & daughters that live & walk with GOD.
That we would be restored to walking with GOD.
In the cool of the day, this is what HE created Adam for. This is why we're created & this is why we live to walk with HIM.
An element of walking with JESUS, that we value here is encountering HIS Presence.
We know that JESUS came right? [2:27]
HE was the SON of GOD, that GOD became a man, & HE came down as a living being.
So JESUS is a real person, just like me & you. HE has flesh & blood right? HE was raised from the dead.
We serve a living GOD, & this living GOD thru JESUS invites us to walk with HIM, right? [2:45]
3.] Developing a Relationship
If you meet a complete stranger in a coffee shop or at the store.. [2:52]
You have a decision to make: You can begin to form a relationship with that person if you so desire & as you begin to choose to spend time together; as you choose to go out of your way to develop a relation- ship, with really any individual in our lives.
It's something we choose to do with our lives right?
This is something all of us get & have the decision to make, to walk with the LORD right? [3:20]
HE invites us in a real relationship with HIM, that we would know HIM—that we would walk HIM, that we would hear HIM.
That we would experience HIM.
How JESUS walked with GOD—HE revealed the FATHER, & by the SPIRIT that JESUS has given us.
By the HOLY SPIRIT, HE now comes & dwells within us. Guess what? [3:49]
………………………………………………………………………………………………… GOD is the closest person to you. …………………………………………………………………………………………………
And this is what you're created for, to walk in intimacy & closeness.
4.] Being Fathered
And nearness with HIM, by the indwelling SPIRIT that you have from YHWH. [4:00]
You would have constant relationship with HIM— constant conversation with HIM, constant dialogue by which you're being really Discipled.
And really what we talk about here at SOLD primarily is to be fathered by GOD.
Really this is one of our highest values & this is why we really do the schools in this certain way.
We want to see a generation fathered by GOD.
We want to see people that receive the HOLY SPIRIT, & it says that we've received the SPIRIT.
The HOLY SPIRIT within us, “cries ABBA FATHER!“ it cries we are accepted, we are in the beloved; we are in HIM, we are made one with HIM.
And this is why JESUS died: To bring us into union with CHRIST
5.] The Sons of GOD
And as we grow in the knowledge of JESUS as our friend, as our LORD, as our SAVIOUR—& the many revelations that are found in the lordship of JESUS.
And knowing HIS heart, and knowing HIS ways, we begin to grow-up into CHRIST—knowing HIS heart & HIS ways! And as a byproduct we are matured to then reveal HIM to our generation.
Romans 8 talks about this, “As many as are led by the SPIRIT of GOD, these are the sons of GOD! And I believe that GOD is raising up sons and daughters who're led by HIS SPIRIT—who know the FATHER's heart, & who know HIS will & HIS ways. [5:28]
Because they've had direct contact with JESUS, by the SPIRIT, & have been fathered by GOD.
6.] Baptism
What is the first thing that happened, when JESUS came into public ministry? [Before anything HE did publicly] HE went to John the Baptist—and HE said, “Baptize ME.“
To fulfill all righteousness, and we see when JESUS descended into the waters & rose from the waters, then the voice of the FATHER from Heaven spoke,
“This is MY beloved SON, in WHOM I AM well pleased.“
[6:16]
And this is only spoken through the intimacy that JESUS had with the FATHER.
JESUS was fathered by GOD, HE was loved on by the FATHER, HE knew that HE was accepted—and that's why HE was able to fulfill the FATHER's will on Earth.
You know we won't be able to fulfill the calling of GOD on our lives—if we don't understand this call of intimacy. [6:34]
If we don't understand that HE says: “Come away with ME, come be with ME, come and dwell with ME.“ JESUS said, “You know when you pray go to the secret place & shut the door.“ [6:49]
7.] Voice of Affirmation
So in the secret place, as you have fellowship with GOD, as you walk with GOD—as Adam did..you can receive the voice of affirmation from the LORD, & in HIS affirmation of you—we believe that is when GOD's Presence comes, & HIS voice comes as well.
And this is part of this experience of intimacy that we get to have with the LORD.
That as HE speaks, HIS voice, HE's building our lives —& HE is raising us up. You know I mentioned that verse in Romans 8, I'm going to turn to it here.
In Romans 8:15 it says,
“You didn't receive the SPIRIT of bondage again to fear, but you've received the SPIRIT of adoption by WHOM we cry 'ABBA FATHER!'“ [7:39]
………………………………………………………………………………………………… So there's a residual cry from our spirit, to know HIM—to identify HIM as the FATHER. …………………………………………………………………………………………………
And we as HIS sons, & as you begin to be raised up by the FATHER—and in the family setting, which is another value of ours.
I'll get to in another video, but as you begin to be raised up as a son in the FATHER's House — your identity becomes secure, your heart becomes whole, & you become a true son of GOD.
And this is why JESUS died, to bring us into the family—into the heart of the FATHER.
And that we would be secure walking with HIM.
Another part of intimacy is something that we get to choose to cultivate. [8:28]
By our lives decisions right?
8.] Intimacy Is Not Cheap
Intimacy isn't cheap & doesn't come easy you know.
JESUS gives a parable in Matthew 25:1-14 about the five wise virgins & the five foolish virgins; & HE said the difference between those five wise and the five foolish was that the wise ones had oil in their lamps.
I believe the oil that it talks about in that parable is talking about the oil of intimacy.
You know oil isn't cheap nor was it cheap back in JESUS's day.
………………………………………………………………………………………………… It was something that came by crushing. [9:11] …………………………………………………………………………………………………
It was where that olives that are grown on trees— once the olives are crushed then oil begins to pour out. [9:13]
And you need a whole bunch of olives, to make a whole lot of oil; and so this is what speaks of our devotion to the LORD.
What is your devotion to JESUS?
Are you paying the price to allow HIM to produce oil inside of your heart—because the tenacity we have in the secret place, in our hearts.
When we develop intimacy with the LORD, this is what gives us the strength & endurance in public places—to allow the crushings that come our way, to produce an intimacy.
By which we're able to endure even hardship and suffering. And in those hardships—we are able to see the LORD is changing us to look more like HIM.
GOD's goal of intimacy is that you would look more like HIM. [10:09]
9.] Challenge
And so I want to commission you guys & challenge you guys, “Let HIM call you into a deeper level of intimacy.“
You know here at SOLD, we spend Mondays during our school season here is: On Monday, we do what we call a lock up—where we spend a day fasting & praying.
And each student gets to spend eight hours shut away with JESUS.
10.] Pursuing GOD
You know it's what I've learned to do in my life, & what I've seen different fathers & mothers of the faith—heroes & generals of the faith, they were constantly fighting for the secret place.
They're always pursuing GOD in the secret place— where they're unplugging from the world—they're unplugging from this generation—and from all the noise that's going on, be alone to hear what GOD is saying.
What is HE doing & what is HE leading me to do in my day & generation. [11:08]
…………………………………………………………………………………………………
And I've learned it from the desert fathers, there's heroes of mine where you know they would leave the noise of the city and go to the deserts into the caves—& shut away for many years & decades.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………
They would literally become I actually encourage you to research them, they are some of my heroes — they were #leading a move of GOD in their own generation because they were hungry for more of GOD. And they paid the price to really shut them- selves away—to seek the face of GOD.
You know in Psalm 27, it talks about there's this call that the LORD gives to David. [11:47]
11.] Seek the Face of GOD
That he hears Psalm 27:8 it says,
Psalm 27:8 | The LORD Is My Salvation Hear, O YHWH, my voice when I call; be merciful & answer me. ⁸ My heart said, “Seek HIS face.”
YOUR Face, O YHWH, I will seek.
And this is actually what Moses embodied!
Remember in the Book of Exodus, he's on the mountain & Moses says, “Show me YOUR glory, show me YOUR glory.“
And GOD says “I can't show you MY face,“ the face of GOD is the glory of GOD!! Imagine that the face of GOD is the glory of GOD, and that is what GOD attributes to HIS glory right?
But guess what?
We get to see the glory of GOD in the face of JESUS.
This is what Corinthians talks about, “all of us are now invited into fellowship behind the veil, into the secret place with GOD to behold HIM
—to allow the eyes of our hearts to behold HIM.“
And it says the pure in heart will see GOD, & JESUS is here to wash your heart—bring you into intimacy with HIM.
12.] Conclusion
So that your eyes can see HIM. [13:01]
So you would behold HIM; when YOU said
“Seek MY face,“ my heart said to YOU: 'YOUR Face LORD, I will seek!“
May grace be released over you to seek the face of JESUS may you hear just the fresh call of JESUS & come away with HIM—to spend extended amounts of time with HIM
• to block out days • to block out hours
But in your daily devotions to say yes to JESUS I will be with YOU, I will come to YOU
—& live sitting at YOUR feet just like mary did
So bless you guys, and I hope you enjoyed our first value of intimacy here. Check out our other videos as well thanks for joining GOD bless you

What I learned this last week...
This is to all my fellow Believers in Christ...
This last week was definitely one of trust, obedience, and faith. I thought that my life was going to continue in one place, only to have to go back to a previous past place and not have any idea of my purpose or my assignment in this season. I was scared because my previous place had black mold in the house, and I had gotten very sick. I honestly felt like the woman with the issue of blood for 12 years, because I was spending a lot of time, money, and effort to try to get better. That's when Yah had told me to leave that house, or I might not make it. I didn't want to die in that house, so I left. I trusted that Yah was going to take care of me, and He did.
Now, that I am back here, with a house that has still not been fixed, I feel lost and don't really understand my assignment right now. I know I need to intercede for people while I am here, and love even though they may have betrayed me or hurt me. That in itself is hard, but I know that through this season, He is going to help me overcome, and overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the words of my testimony. What He has started in me, He will finish it. I do know that this is not my ending point, but just a resting point. It's a transition.
Being a Kingdom Woman is not easy. I know that there might be some Believers who ask, "What does that mean?" A Kingdom woman, or a Kingdom Man, are those who follow Christ with everything in them, sacrificing all, to follow their Savior and L-rd. Who would do anything for their King. Who have partnered with Him to spread His dominion and authority and Kingdom to the world. The apostles and disciples of Christ in the Bible were Kingdom Ambassadors. They were willing to sacrifice all, even their own lives, for the sake of the cause of Christ.
I was going to talk about something else this week, and the Holy Spirit wanted me to talk about my walk with Christ this last week. Needless to say, what I have been through is still ongoing and raw, but still a testimony to my faith in Christ and my ability to trust and obey even if I am kicking and screaming all the way through it. It's not easy trusting when things make no sense whatsoever. Even if they do make sense somewhat, knowing what the end product is, the end destination, aka Yeshua, is the ONLY thing that matters! He is our Ultimate Gift! He is our Ultimate Prize! What I have had to learn on this journey of constant unknowns, is that no matter the blessings that He decides to give me along the way, no matter the favor or anointing, no matter the endless amounts of mercy and grace given to me to complete His Kingdom Agenda, no matter what may come...I know that Yeshua is the bestest treasure I could ever ask for or desire. He is the Ultimate Treasure.
Through this journey, I have come to hear, know, and recognize my Daddy's (Yah's) voice very clear and confidently. I know that He loves me and is very protective of His little princess, and would never let anything happen to me. I know that He will always provide my needs. I know that He loves to see me do what He has called me to do. It gives Him great pleasure and delight to see me live out His laws and commandments. He loves to see me smile and laugh. He loves to see me dance and live life to the fullest. It hurts Him to see me hurting and crying. He loves to know that I desire Him, as much as He desires me.
Most people I have told my story to don't believe me, and that's okay. This journey isn't for them. It's for me. He wrote my story for me, and for those who are going to be blessed through me. All I know is that hopefully, through my words today, someone's faith and hope in Yah has been renewed and reignited. Just know that He does love you. He does want a relationship with you. He even desires to be in covenant with you. Just know that you are your Daddy's treasure, and all He wants is to make sure that you are treasured by Him, for Him, and through Him.
I love you all, and I hope that your week is blessed, favored, anointed, and given all for the glory of Yah. If you are reading this, and not a Believer yet, I pray that my words be the seed that will eventually be watered to see the love of your Heavenly Father for you.
Shalom and Forever Blessings to All!

How do I Wait upon the Lord?
Psalms 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” How Do I Wait Upon the Lord?                After  our article on being silent and listening to God, one of our readers wrote and asked the following question.                 “Since you wrote about being silent, how do I do that? I know it may sound simple, but I honestly…
