creepy tinkerbell - a spotify mystery
A few weeks ago I stumbled across a weird Spotify mystery. I was listening to music and decided to let the algorithm take over, which means I let the app find me similar music to the one I searched up, in this case it was the song Hollow by Björk.
I listened to a couple songs, which were nice. Then the third song played. It was titled Creepy Tinkerbell by Marigold Sweat. Unusual names, but then again I was looking for unusual music. It was an uplifting, energetic, but jarring tune. But there was nothing about it that really stood out to me and I forgot it as soon as it ended.
A few other songs played, which were more or less kinda weird. Then a familiar sound came up. It was Creepy Tinkerbell again, but repackaged as a different song by a different artist. This time it was called Momkukr by Xecritirians. It was literally the same song, with a slight variation. I was confused, but I skipped it.
A few songs later and I hear Creepy Tinkerbell once again. But this time it was called Pharaoh by Halsey Sutherland.
Now I was getting curious. So I looked at the artists profiles and found some interesting things.
Each artist has only three songs on their profile and this one is always one of them.
The other songs are less jarring than Creepy Tinkerbell but all sound very generic.
Their album covers, profile pictures, and headers are always these weird, stock image type photos.
All their songs were uploaded December 2022, have thousands of listens, and the artists have 50-250 monthly listeners.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now I have a ton of questions. Is this a glitch or is it all intentional? Who the hell is behind this? Are they bot accounts? What even is this song and why does it sound like that? Who wrote it? And why does this song come up three times under different artists when I searched up Björk?
I tried doing some research on this strange occurrence. I found some people on Reddit talking about similar experiences, but none mentioned this particular song. Some possible explanations I came across ranged from ai generated music to crime gangs using the app for money laundering. Regardless of the reason it’s shitty that Spotify has so many of these fake songs/accounts on their platform, and it’s wild how easy it was for me to stumble across them.

As you might (or might not) know I am a huge fan of unsolved mysteries. Whenever I paint or draw, we put on one of several podcasts about them. Unsolved crimes, unexplained disappearances, mysterious accidents, Internet rabbit holes: all of it.
At this point we rarely encounter anything new in the subject. Dyatlov Pass? Puhleeease; Tourists missing on El Pianista? We listened to so many podcasts on it that we probably wouldn’t get lost in the jungle ourselves; The boy found in the middle of a bog? Know all about it; Giants in Afghanistan? Yeah… You get the gist. So when yesterday we heard about a NEW THING I was all ears. Chilling Scares on Youtube mentioned a story of Doveland, Wisconsin.
The story goes it used to be an actual town in rural Wisconsin BUT at some point it vanished. It would be yet another creepy pasta but there are actual people who remember the town, had relatives living there and there are supposed memorabilia and souvenirs from it. There are three major theories behind it:
1 - It was a military complex, that had some kind of an accident, everyone got evacuated and the whole thing has been hushed by the CIA (not plausible really)
2 - The whole thing is a Mandela Effect. People miss-remember it for being something else
3 - The whole town actually shifted out of our reality into a parallel Universe, Upside-Down style (my guess is that’s exactly what happened).
SO ANYWAYS, I was so hyped by this story I did the above art and sticker design. Hope you like it

Has anybody heard of or played a game called KBNR?
I was just cleaning out my downloads folder and realized I couldn't remember what "KBNRWIN.RAR" was, so I unzipped it and it was a very short, pixel graphics, semi-monochrome, top-down, indie horror game. The "readme" txt is very sparse, with some links to bandcamp (for the soundtrack) and itch.io (for other stuff by the creator?) both of which were dead ends.
Tumblr media
The controls of the game were ONLY arrow keys to move. That's it. There's no "select" or "back" or even "exit game" buttons (the readme said exit was alt+F4). I looked up the name and the only thing I could find mentioning it was a "top 10" style list by "the casual gaymer" mentioning it without much detail.
The gameplay itself is controlling a little purple character, who climbs up some kind of tower or mountain, as you go text boxes pop up then go away after a few seconds. When you get to the top of the mountain/tower your character jumps off (you don't have control over this) and the game closes itself.
I buy a bunch of big itch.io bundles, and I wouldn't be surprised if this was from one of those but can anyone back up the claim that it is? In particular I've bought bundles in support of various charitable causes. These are the specific ones, with the dates they came out:
Games For Gaza  Oct 29, 2023
Bundle for Ukraine  Mar 09, 2022
Indie bundle for Palestinian Aid  Jun 05, 2021
Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality  Jun 07, 2020
Searching the bundles for "kbnr" has no results.
Has anybody else seen or played this little game? Am I crazy? Am I haunted? I've seen stories that start pretty similar to this on nexpo and I'm not thrilled about it lol.

So...
Angel Hare
The ending kind of hit me hard. The whole series feels like a subtle critique on nostalgia and the parasocial relationships we develope with fictional characters and creators... And that despite their flaws or whatever controversy followed them, the joy, supportive words, or inspiration they gave you in that moment is still valid.
Regardless of whether the audience can trust any of the characters in this horror/mystery YouTube series, a couple of lessons can be taken away from its current ending:
Sharing media that has helped you, be it fan works or recommendations, with others is important. It could very well help keep them going just as it did you. On top of that, you might just make a new friend.
The media you grew up with and the people you looked up to may turned out be flawed, but what matters is how they influenced you as a person.
I remember thinking about Night Mind (@nick-nocturne)- I had watched his coverage of Angel Hare prior to finishing the series. I remember on New Year's Day/Eve watching his I'm Proud of You Video and feeling exactly how the main character, Jonah, felt talking to Gabby- albeit with less other worldly intervention through the screen and more the vague but still moving comfort of being reminded by a much larger creator that my art mattered. It was also 3 am and I was very much sleep deprived so I'm sure my ramblings in a YouTube comment seemed like lunacy and obsession.
I digress.
What I mean to say, is that it's okay to feel some attachment to the characters and creators you find comfort in so long as you don't obsess to the point it hurts someone. Hold onto whatever gets you through the dark times, gives you hope, faith (religious or otherwise), and strength. I can't promise you things will get better if you do, but it's still something to whether the storm.
Anyway.
Here's the link to the YouTube playlist for Angel Hare
Here's Night Mind's video on the series
And here's Crowmudgeon's video essay

Hiya. I'm doing an investigation on coldnessinmyheart and was wondering if y'all could help me out with this? Every forum, reddit, and 4chan board has just led me to dead ends and I can't find a solid lead anywhere. I've watched Internet Investigator's video as well. Please, help me just figure out if she's okay. I need legit sources too please.

Blank Room Soup.avi, a hoax?
I believe by now most of the internet is familiar with "Blank Room Soup.avi", or originally called "Freaky Soup Guy", a video wherein two costumed characters comfort a man who's crying while eating soup.
Tumblr media
It's off putting at worst, maybe slightly uncomfortable. Of course there were rumors that it came from the dark web and that the man was forced to eat a soup that had his dead wife in it, or slight variations of.
Of course, none of that is true. The truth, however, is rather muddled.
See, the costumes belonged to a man named Raymond Persi. Raymond Persi works for Disney and is an animator, director, and voice actor for a handful of movies and The Simpsons between season 16-21 and The Simpson's Movie. Raymond also had these costumes, as they were a project of his that were essentially mascots for events or stage shows. The act was called "RayRay".
According to Raymond Persi, one day while out for a show, the costumes were stolen, and some time he was later sent this video. Finding it absurd, he posted it to youtube to show his friends, and the costumes remain stolen. Though still a mystery as to who stole the costumes and made the video is, the rest of the mystery is solved right?
Well, there's a possibility that Raymond Persi's story is a fabrication. Below the cut, I'll go into a very likely theory about what is possibly going on. Nothing is confirmed, however.
What's lesser known is that there were actually multiple videos in this series. The second video is mostly the same, the man is in the lackluster room crying with his soup, but now they mascots are off to the side, watching, until the last couple seconds when one of them runs up to the man and kicks him. The third video, however, is where it gets interesting.
Tumblr media
It's a 10 second clip, where in a dark alleyway with a single spotlight, "RayRay" comes out with what we can assume is a hostage. The man is bound and gagged. The camera zooms in on both of them, before cutting off.
So it got it eerier, it seems, but this is the beginning of a lead.
Raymond Persi has a sister named Dominique Lenore Persi, who is the front woman for an experimental rock band called "Stolen Babies", a band with quite some horror themes to their songs and music videos.
Tumblr media
As we can already see, there's quite a similarity between the "hostage" in Blank Soup Room 3 and the gentleman in the hat and glasses on the left.
Tumblr media
In fact, as we can see here, he has the same pale face, glasses, hat, and red jacket. Oh, and ropes, isn't that funny.
As a matter of fact, there are photoshoots of RayRay with Stolen Babies!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And they've even been there for their shows as mascots, fulfilling their intended purpose after all. In all, just a brother helping support his sister's band.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, let's loop around. RayRay, Stolen Babies, Blank Soup Room.avi. What's the theory? That Blank Soup Room may just be a promoting stunt for Stolen Babies. I personally think Raymond lied about the suits being stolen and the video being sent to him to try to make it more mysterious and spooky. I mean, sometimes people just lie, even when regarding searches and mystery.
Unless it's true that the costumes were stolen, and maybe Blank Room Suit inspired Raymond Persi to make more creepy videos and photos for Stolen Babies with spare costumes of RayRay.
Either way, nothing is confirmed for certain. We still don't know who the crying man eating the soup is, we don't know who's under the costumes, and we don't know if Persi is telling the truth or not. Still, the first soup video is... quite eerie.

This post is a little self-advertisment.
I opened an online store where you can buy STUFF with my artwork on it. You can find the link in the bio but if you prefer to type here is the address:

I spent last week updating it so you can find 25+ designs there that you can get as stickers, T-shirts, hoodies, magnets or just regular prints.
The above artwork is there already!
The Bridgewater Triangle is an area of about 200 square miles (520 km2) within southeastern Massachusetts in the United States, claimed to be a site of alleged paranormal phenomena, ranging from UFOs to poltergeists, and other spectral phenomena, various bigfoot-like sightings, giant snakes and thunderbirds. The term was coined by New England based cryptozoologist Loren Coleman.
I am a huge fan of all things Internet Mysteries, and unexplained secrets. So here’s another one in my series of Pinup vintage postcards from unexplained phenomene places :D

Hi! Welcome to the first (and hopefully only) episode of Unsolved Mysteries With Pebs!
Today, I'm asking all of y'all artists out there to help me find the creator of one of the first and most iconic expression memes, one which honestly taught me how to do faces in middle school.
THIS ONE!!
Tumblr media
I wanna do a redraw of my old, old, childhood take on it. However, I refuse to do this without PROPER credit. That wouldn't be right. Please please please, in any way you can, even if it's tags or anonymous asks, help me find the person who made this??
Thank ya' much!

The psychonauts’s capsule plunged into the collective psychic pool. The mysterious song no one had been able to identify slithered between their minds like the wind, guiding them away from the surface.
Lyrics evaporated one word into the other, notes became colors and colors became suns, and queen bees nested in them.
There it was, lodged between a memory and a desire for more, the cosmic song whose origin they’d been commissioned to investigate. They managed to unstick it.
Excited, they made for the surface. But they’d strayed too far. The mystery they’d entered was dissolving, fog-like, sweeping them along.
