FAQ:
Can I comment on tumblr or only on AO3?
Either one is great! The tags are drawn from AO3, but most can be adjusted to suit tumblr as well, so I say go for it. Tumblr fics deserve love, too.
Can one comment count toward multiple squares if the fic fits more than one category?
Since the goal is for as many fics to receive comments as possible, try to comment on a different fic for each square.
Is there a time limit?
Nope! Take your time or set your own deadline, whatever works for you. This blog is still in its early experimental stage, so feedback welcome. Play around and let me know what you like and what might be added/changed—including ideas for squares on future cards!
Do I have to record progress on the actual card?
Nope! If it’s easier to keep track in a different way, that’s fine. This is all very honor system, so if you say you earned a Bingo, we’ll call it a win 🎉
Some people have been tracking not just completed tasks, but the fics they read along the way, so that when they post a bingo, they can also promote the fics/authors in a little rec list. Not required, but definitely cool to see!
Can I adjust the task in a particular square to suit my comfort level?
Of course! If you deliver something in the spirit of the task, then it’s all good. Use your best judgement in constructing a comment that will make the author smile, and you can consider it a job well done.
In general, so long as each square has produced at least one comment, you’re golden and I salute you 🫡
Happy commenting!!

Gale is anything but subtle. With every interaction, he all but literally screams “I love you. I want you. I love you!”
A quick kiss before he leaves for the academy turns into a minutes long make out session. He’ll have you pressed against the wall with his arms hugging you tightly. “You’ll be late, Professor Dekarios.”
“Hmm,” he’ll hum as he kisses down your neck. “I think it’ll be okay. I can spare 5 minutes, my love.”
Simple compliments turn into grand professions of your beauty. “My dearest moon, you command all creatures. Plenty of beings weep at your beauty. The darkest nights can do nothing except bow at your feet”
What he intends to be a daily “I love you” will end up being a drawn out confession. “You’ve no idea how much I love you. The effect you have on me. I’d crawl through every circle of hell if you asked.” He stops only to plant kisses on your hands and cheek. “Simply give the order, and I’ll do as you please.”
You’ll decide to visit him at school for lunch and, before you know it, he’s pulling you into his lap. Giggling, you’ll ask “Is this appropriate behavior?”
“No one can see us. Besides, it’s just one kiss.”
“Is that so?” You laugh already knowing how this will end up.
“Mhm. Just one,” he mutters, already starting towards your neck.
Even at home, he’s down bad. He always wants you near. Unless you’re asleep, you’ll find yourself sat in the kitchen while he cooks. With great effort, he keeps himself from moaning when you come behind him, arms slinking around his waist and planting kisses on his back. Instead, he’ll opt for a light chuckle and caresses your arm with his free hand.
The two of you will spend a lot of time in library, and he’s not afraid to admit that he can’t fully relax unless you’re there, legs draped over his lap. Several nights have turned from comfortable silence in each others company to slow dancing as the piano plays to the two of you on a pile of pillows and blankets in front of the fireplace.
“I swear you’re the sun,” you’ll tell him one night on the balcony. “You have no idea how bright and warm you are.” You stop for moment to admire him. Winding your arms around his neck and curling his hair behind his ear, “I’ve known nothing but darkness. I’m no stranger to the cold, and you are anything but. The heavens themselves couldn’t convince me otherwise. You’re the sun, Gale Dekarios.”
He’ll look at you wide eyed and speechless. “I love you.” Thrown off by your confession, he can’t exactly find the words express what he feels. “By the gods, I love you.” He whispers it, just loud enough for you to hear. He’ll wrap you tightly in his arms and kiss you with all the emotion he can muster. He makes a mental note to thank you for your kind words later. For now, he’ll worship you in every way he can.
