Danny covered his nose with his hand. Where ever he landed smelled absolutely foul, like rotten fruit and burning tires mixed with chem lab.
"Remind me to bring a face mask the next time I explore the Infinite Realms." He muttered, before kicking a soda can down the alley he was in and being repulsed by the squelch sound it made when it came into contact with a very questionable looking puddle, "Better yet, a gas mask." He glanced at the puddle again, "Or I could go full Hazmat." Clockwork had told him this world was full of superheros and villians and to steer clear of it, but once he learned there were aliens in this world he couldn't help himself. Danny had always been weak to his curiosity, but he liked to believe he was cautious, and chose to stay in his Phantom for for added protection.
Turning on his heel he exited onto a deserted street lined on one side by a chain-link fence. The sky above him was filled with clouds so ominous and dark that Danny honestly couldn't tell you if it was night or day, all he knew was that it was going to rain soon and hopefully these awful smells would be drowned out by the downpour.
Danny got his wish only minutes later. Thankfully Phantom was unbothered by the cold and could just bask in the rain as it fell apon him. A lesser known fact about ghosts is that thier clothes are made from thier ectoplasm and are part of thier bodies, much like a second layer of skin, so one would be able to feel things on thier clothes as easily as they would with thier bare skin. The level of sensitivity varies with the type of clothing however. All this to say Danny loved the feeling of the rivulets of rainwater traveling down his ghostly hazmat suit.
He was so preoccupied with enjoying the sensation that he didn't notice anything was wrong until he was jolted forward from the weight of someone landing on his back. The person was quick and precise, taking no time at all to have his wrists pinned behind his back and- weirdly enough- thier teeth digging into the material around his neck.
His parents designed the Hazmat suit Danny was wearing not only to deal with dangerous chemicals, but to fight supernatural foes. The area around the neck was reinforced with the intention of protecting against fatal gunshots and decapitations so naturally someone's jaw wasn't going to be enough to break through to his neck.
Danny let out a laugh as the person kept chewing on his neck like a confused puppy. Oh, Danny thought, they've gone feral. It was odd for someone to go feral but it could occur when a person has gone through something traumatic recently or through extreme stress. It made sense since the person ridding piggy back on him was dressed like a superhero. Danny wondered if that was why the person didn't have a scent. Danny learns facepalmed when he remembered that scentblockers existed and not everyone's scent dramatically changed whenever they went out as a hero. The scent change was probably one of the few things that have kept him alive up to this point to be honest.
"So, I guess you're not going to tell me why you're chewing on my neck like the worlds most pathetic vampire, are you?" No one deserves that title more than the fruitloop to be honest. He made a mental note to use that one against Vlad the next time he saw him.
Chewy whined at this, seeming to slump a bit from the apparent failure to bite him. What was that about? Was this actually a vampire? How would a vampire even react to Dannys ecto-blood combo meal anyway? Would it be like food poisoning? Or would it taste amazing from one undead to another. "I'm not exactly human, are you sure you wanna bite me? I might not taste so good." Danny warned, but the moment he mentioned letting the person bite him they were eager again.
Danny chuckled and unzipped the material only a bit before it was loose enough to move out of the way. The vampires bite came with a sharp pain like he expected but there was no suction. No drinking of blood. Just some weirdo biting Danny on the neck. Huh.
Danny hoped he didn't get rabies from this.
He must have accidentally said that out loud as there was a small laugh from the rooftops above them. There stood another person in a superhero outfit with some really tall dude dressed as a giant bat, and that was when Danny decided to bail. It was one thing to let a maybe vampire bite you in a random street in the middle of the night but more of them? And ones a big scary furry? Hard pass.
Phantom did as Phantoms do and went invisible and intangible, escaping from Biteys jaws and startling the heros. He ignored the distressed whine Munchy let out after loosing their spookyest chew toy and quickly rubbed the scent gland near dannys jaw on the top of thier head as an act of comfort before bolting.
----
Danny poked at the bite mark on his neck. Screw rabies, he better not get turned into a werewolf. He didn't need that on top of his ghostly crap. Sam seemed fascinated by the mark, after all, it wasn't every day that Danny got a scar, especially one so obvious. Most injuries heal quickly and leave no trace of him ever being injured in the first place which helped a lot in keeping his secret identity.
Luckily Danny hadn't needed to lie to mom and dad. He truthfully told them about some wierdo jumping off of a nearby rooftop and plunging thier teeth into his neck and that two other people had tried to corner him during this. He assured his mom that he had gotten away quickly but was a little shaken by it and his dad praised him for being brave and managing to escape.
That was nice. But he still had to figure out what was up with this bite...and why he felt so compelled to go back to that city.
Back to that hero.
-----
Aka an A/B/O au where in Danny's universe all the Alphas are extinct and the betas followed soon after and the DC universe all the Omegas went extinct and betas followed after . Not like a "they finally went extinct in the 1700s after centuries of thier numbers dwindling" thing and became a myth/fairytale (tho I like that too) but a "this might be the missing link between cave men and modern humans" kinda thing.
Its up to you which bat bit Danny and exactly what that means. I love abo aus without smut cause there's so much potential for chaos and I am very much ace.

America
Alfred is just so EXCITED, I mean, you’re like a superhero! Like something out of a comic book! You’re incredible, he just CAN’T stop gushing about you.
Which, you really have to get him to stop. He can be completely honest about his supernatural identity, so he doesn’t really understand why you can’t. If anyone tried to hurt you, you could just, like, explode them with your mind, right?
He’s very horrified to find out that… that’s not how it works. Although he’s not the greatest at comforting his partners, he immediately sympathizes. The thought of someone treating you like that hadn’t even occurred to him, like, you’re so cute and nice… who could do that?
Whoever did that, well… they’ll never do it again. The two of you will defeat them, no problem!
(Yes, he still thinks his life is like a comic book)
England
Woah, that’s incredible! You’re doing real magic, just like he can! Oh, it’s like a… scientific thing and not magic? Well… maybe the scientists are just trying to rationalize what they can’t understand. Trust him, you’re magic.
Exactly how much can you do exactly? Because if you don’t know, he’s excited to help you learn. He’s trained plenty of magic users over the centuries, you couldn’t be in better hands.
Don’t worry, he would never let anyone take advantage of you again either. You’re lucky that you happen to have someone in such a high position because he is absolutely going to make sure no one uses your ability against you. No, never his darling.
(He’s also definitely gonna lean into the Wizard couple thing now. Expect to move into a super stereotypical witch house with him in the near future)
France
How horrible! You’ve been blessed, and yet people only torture you for it?! Well, now, you won’t have to worry about that at all, Love. He doesn’t see you any differently.
Although he does appreciate you having telekinesis… for the simple reason of when you two are cuddling on the couch, he doesn’t have to get up to grab the remote.
Plus, now he can brag to Arthur about having a super cool magic S/O. He’s gonna be so jealous~
China
Ok, so you have superpowers. So does he, technically, so like, whatever.
Probably the least interested out of all of them. He’d appreciate you using your ability around the house, but if you didn’t, he wouldn’t care (he wouldn’t remember…)
Although, the thought of people mistreating you for it does make his blood boil. He’s had plenty of experience with that himself… and he is absolutely not tolerating it anymore. If any of your former abusers showed their faces around the two of you, they’re getting kicked in the face.
Russia
Wait, you’re serious? That’s… so cool! So, you’re magic, right? Can you make other people like him with your mind? Or make them think HE’S magic so they’re scared of him? No? Oh… well, still, very cool!
He obviously wouldn’t judge you at all. He’s got superpowers too, in a different way.
He’s been mistreated throughout his whole life for his supernatural abilities, so the fact that you were treated the same? It makes him want to rip everyone who did that apart. Which… you will have to stop him from doing (or let him, up to you, I guess.)
I’d imagine some people from his government might try to experiment with you again, but Ivan would absolutely not allow that to happen. He will hide you in a submarine in another country before he lets anyone treat you like a weapon or a science experiment.
Italy
His immediate reaction is gonna be to ask a bunch of invasive questions. Sorry. He’s just curious and has absolutely no social filter.
But as soon as he exhausts himself with his tasteless line of questioning, he’ll basically forget about the whole thing. The first time you use your ability after that, he’ll be scared out of his skin.
(If you don’t tell him it was you, he’d probably order an exorcism on his house…)
He might be meek, but he’d never let anyone treat you badly because of your ability. He wants you to think of it as a gift, not as a curse! It’s what makes you special.
Germany
Wow, that’s fascinating. For how long? How does it work? Does your family have it too? W-
Sorry. His scientific brain will immediately go crazy. He wants to run a bunch of tests and find out EVERYTHING about you. Which is obviously, very, very uncomfortable. He does care about you! He’s just a nerd
But as soon as you tell him about what people have done before, he’ll instantly regret his behaviour. No, you’re not just a weapon to him. Just an incredibly special person.
He’ll be a lot more casual about it after that, but he can’t help staring in awe whenever you display your power.
Japan
Much like Alfred, Kiku is very enthusiastic about the superhero angle of your ability. He’s so lucky to be with someone so unique, that’s all he can think whenever he sees you using telekinesis. Although he does sometimes secretly hope that you’ll get into some anime girl conspiracy plot… just because it’d be cool.
He’s a little insulted that you waited this long to tell him, but he’d never tell you that. Especially after you reveal why, then he feels extra guilty. Now he’ll put in a lot more effort to make sure you know that he’d love you no matter what.
Luckily, he’s still a fierce enough fighter to keep you safe from anyone trying to turn you back into a weapon. Not on his watch.

Tis I! The frenchiest fry! 🐼/ back with my Thoughts(tm).
And Superhero Weirdness Homosexual Tim anybody? I think we SHOULD.
Now you may ask: "isn't that just a long way of saying Homosexual?" And NOPE! I know what I typed. We're being LITERAL here. "Homo" as in self, sexual as in self explanatory. He is very much still Bi as Fuck.
He's just... learned some things about himself.
Namely? That he's REALLY kinda in to himself. And that he'd like "himself" to be IN him. When the chance comes up. Which! It doooooes.
Because time travel, Multiverse, and other such shenanigans occur with startling regularity. And Tim is a Bat. He has... ISSUES with trusting other people around his body naked. Himself though? Once they've done they "we're not evil!" Song and dance?
Well, if he can't trust HIMSELF? Then he could never be naked again.
And they? Are different enough to be not creepy, but similar enough to be trustworthy. Plus! Some of them are Cis Dudes. Lucky bastards. Well... sorta. If you discount the whole doomed timelines, distopian worlds, and deeply bastardy Bruces. Okay, so not LUCKY. Just highly specifically less shit.
And it's ALWAYS a THING. Bruce and Bruce posturing at each other like territorial cats. Hood and hood trying to kill each other. Dramatic screaming matchs between Nightwings. It takes hours.
Tim? He has codes. Standardized questions. It takes him like 5... MAYBE 15 minutes to confirm or deny whether this is an "evil alter self" scenario. Then they have to wait hours? Fuck no.
At FIRST? He would go get pizza. Swap notes. Have them go over his case notes to see if a fresh pair of eyes helped. But like... then puberty hit HARD. And the Tim was actually a Tam. With like... boobs. That she WANTED. It was wild. But she was also kinda cute?
And it occurred to them... they could make out. They did. It was awesome.
It kept happening too. Different selves, coming to his world, being sent to theirs. Making out. Exploring stuff. Until? This zombie outbreak in Central. Some idiot punched a hole into a zombie apocalypse world. They helped contain it. But an older future Alt-Tim was there. All rugged and looking for a cure. Holed up in the labs once he helped beat the zombies back behind a barricade.
Tim helped. Made sure he ate, since he didn't know nearly as much about biology or diseases. Listened to Alt-Tim's fears that a cure would be pointless. That too many had.. had...
What started as a hug, turned into something more. Lead to him on a pull out bed, being gently worked open by callused fingers and a hot tounge, lined by unshave jaw. Gripping unwashed hair like his life depended on it as those fingers FOUND things. As that mouth focused on making him as wet as it could. Was pulled into powerful arms, held close and cradling, as he was nudged open by something blunt.
Speared impossibly slow on something that pushed all the air out of him.
Alt-Tim shaking and sucking in air like the pleasure physically HURT. Head tucked tight to Tim's neck, holding him so tight it nearly hurts. Rocking and rocking. In helpless little ruts, to get deeper. To be more connected. To FEEL the connection to another living soul. Like he wants to crawl into Tim's skin and cry.
Tim's first time is all desperate rutting and crushing heat. He can barely breath. His hole pounded in deep, urgent, grinding thrusts like at any moment they'll be forced to stop. Alt-Tim finds something inside him that light fireworks behind his eyes, something he didn't know was THERE, and rutts and grinds and POUNDS against it until Tim is sobbing.
It's the first time but it's not the last. How COULD it be? When Alt-Tim finds his cure and heads home? Tim is actually sad to see him go. But there are other himself.
He finds he likes the older Him's the best. And the supernatural ones are interesting. On rare occasions there's even more then one of him! Of course, they are Bats. Discreet. He gets a reputation. Prudish. Doesn't date. Uninterested.
It's awkward to explain to people, so he usually just... doesn't.
But. He forgot something. Unlike him, but it happens. Do you think the senior bats would let him be around Unknowns without cameras? Just In Case? If you do, you clearly don't know them.
It could be anything, really, the tips them off. Tim lookin a little TOO excited to spend time with his unknown Alt-Self. They way the older man "leared". But protective instincts rear up. They spy in. Get an EYE full.
Tim, being POUNDED on his own bed. Bent in half and clearly enjoying it. By himself?! The check the archives of past interactions. Is this? Normal behavior? Dear lord it IS? How do you move forward?
Do you demand he stop fucking "strangers"? With their potentially dangerous Multiverse disease carrying bodies? Do you pretend you never saw anything. Do you volunteer? Keep "watch" to insure he remains safe around these unknowns?
So many options! Up to you!
-🐼
yessssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!! this is so perfectly horny! the only thing better than one tim is TWO tim's fucking!!!!!!!!
tim losing his virginity to some post apocalyptic version of himself who's been stuck in a zombie wasteland, likely surviving by himself because it's sort of a universal constant for tim to be the sole survivor among his friends and family wen shit goes side ways.
that tim is desperately lonely and seeking comfort and connection with tim who is so very turned on and into this aged version of him who ruts deep into him and punches out gut-deep sounds of pleasure.
it's amazing. tim is not a prude it's just that he's never really felt a deep attraction to other people. there's always something wrong or something that puts him off about them. but other hims?
they just get it. they understand what to do, how to touch him. he loves the older hims the most. the ones with salt and pepper hair, with fine lines from stress. a few lucky tims get actual cocks and tim will be damned if he doesn't touch them and marvel over them.
but the older tims. god the older tims. the ones who have experience and know how to fuck or who are so tightly would up and fuck him hard to work off some stress.
they were the best.
the ones that came a close second were the twin tim's. instead of being timothy jackson drake a few universes had timothy AND jackson drake. identical twins who double teamed tim. and if they were as good in the field together as they were with tim then tim understood why that universe's bruce looked so chill and at ease.
so tim is having a nice good time with fucking alternate versions of himself from other universes. he has come to terms with an accepted that the only people he feels genuine sexual attraction for are himself. and as much as tim may have a reputation for being straightlaced and a prude in his universe, his reputation in the multiverse is VERY different. because other universes and especially other tim's talk.
that might be why that other tim looked so eager to see him. unlike the usual crowd this tim was tall and muscular. it seemed to be more of a mirror verse than an alternate universe but tim supposed there had to be some tims out there that was more frat boy like jack wanted rather than the wizards and warlocks dork janet bragged about. but tim is no less eager. maybe too eager.
because barely a day after that universe is packed up and sent home bruce and the others confront tim about his 'habit'. they try their whole 'its dangerous' schtick but tim was not about to risk losing the opportunity to fuck other tim's. it's one of the few times he and the family genuinely butt heads.
it all comes down to one thing. would they rather he ignore them and continue to do it but just get better at hiding it or would they rather let him keep doing his thing and they could keep tabs.
tim is offering to let them watch if they want and that's a better deal than anyone else in his universe was ever going to get.

My Future
Derek Hale x OC
Samantha, Stiles and Scott are always joking about the impossible. Who wouldn't when your best friend's dad is the sheriff of Beacon Hills? All jokes stop when they realize the impossible is indeed possible.
Tumblr media
Chapter 51: Shadow Woman
After learning about Sam's history, Derek felt as if he understood her a bit better. He lightly dragged his thumb down her cheek as he frowned softly.
“I'm just glad you didn't die on us. I don't know what I would've done.”
He understood why she was the way she was.
“You're not alone, Derek.”
He understood why she and the boys were so close. Why she stayed with her mother. Why she acted the way she acted toward the others that they've come across.
“You haven’t given up trying to push me away, yet? It doesn’t get old?”
It made sense now.
“I'm not leaving you. I won't leave you.”
He was so curious about her and why she felt the need to be so persistent in helping him and Scott to begin with.
“I'm not gonna let you go out there if it means you're gonna die and I won't be able to do anything about it.”
It wasn't just because she cared… she was afraid. She was afraid of being alone.
“I don't wanna do that without you.”
He sighed softly, laying back against her pillows, and closed his eyes. With her brother and father missing, it messed her up. The abandonment dug a hole in her being and her friends only filled it so much.
This entire time… Derek was worried about himself. Thinking about himself and how he was the bane of everyone's pain but now he knew he wasn't just that. This wasn't his fault yet he felt like it was.
He wasn't here to protect her either.
Despite all that she's been through, she was still caring and not as cold as he expected her to be after hearing what happened.
In the beginning, he was just a stranger to her. The boys were right to have their suspicions and guards up around him, but she wasn't like them…
She could've been hostile toward him, but she wasn't. She was definitely crazy brave for standing up to him and Peter, regardless of their supernatural status. But she welcomed them all the same.
He frowned at another thought that plagued his mind. She could've been just like the Argents.
However, she was the opposite. She wasn't as threatening when she found out who bit Scott. Hell, she was on the Hales' side the entire time.
She could've hated him. He anticipated it. He wasn't supposed to care. He was supposed to gather betas for revenge. So was Peter. And he did.
But he lost his betas. His alpha spark and this girl, this once human girl, stayed by his side.
She made him think of Paige. Maybe… maybe this was his new chance. A chance to do better. To do right. To make sure he didn't relive a repeat.
He was… scared when Sam had gotten bit.
He hid it well, but he was terrified. Terrified that he'd let another innocent girl die because of his mistakes.
She could've lost her life and she didn't blame him for getting bit. She made it seem like it was a normal occurrence when she told her mother.
He thanked his lucky stars. That was, if he had any.
Even laying next to her, he felt lucky. The dim moonlight that peeked through her curtains, he saw how her usually plump cheeks were less swollen from crying so hard.
Her eyes were still a little puffy, but it didn't bother him much. She slept peacefully. At least he hoped.
This wasn't something he expected to come home to. Another family reunion? One that wasn't mysteriously his?
He wondered about her father and brother. Was the trip even worth it? Was it worth tearing her apart so emotionally?
Did they really miss her?
Derek lifted a hand to hover his fingertips over her cheek. He glanced at the small faded scar over her eyelid. He felt guilty that it hadn't healed completely before she got bit.
She'd probably tell him that it wasn't his fault. She was always like that. He kinda wished she'd just yell at him, tell him to get lost, to never see her or her friends again.
Maybe it'd hurt less if she had. He can't imagine why anyone would hurt her so bad even as a kid. She sounded so sweet and kind hearted from what Stiles had described.
It made him wish he'd met her earlier. Before the fire. Before Kate.
His thoughts paused as he heard a soft groan come from her and watched as she woke up. Her eyes slowly opened and met his, a relieved expression washed over her face.
"Hi.", she whispered softly. A small smile lifted his lips. "Hi.", he responded. "How're you feeling?"
She let out a muffled noise and rubbed her face on her pillow. "Still kinda tired, but I'm okay. You okay?"
He let out a snort. Worried about him as always… "Yeah. I'm okay."
He watched as she lifted a hand, the tips of her fingers pressed against his scruffy cheek. "You're really here…", she muttered.
He nodded. "I'm back."
She dropped her hand with a small huff and a smile. Derek returned her smile and brought her into his hold. "I missed you.", he muttered in her hair. She nuzzled into his chest. "I really missed you."
He laid a kiss on top of her forehead and looked down at her. "How come you were sick?", he asked softly.
She looked up at him, a questioning look on her face. "When I came home, I smelled you all over my couch. I smelled your pain. You were sick. Why?", he responded.
"I got drugged and kidnapped.", she muttered, looking down. Derek's face hardened. What the hell happened while he was gone?
"By who?", he asked. "A guy me, Stiles and Scott knew when we were younger.", she responded. She told him everything that happened from meeting Theo to him being dragged to hell by his dead sister.
Good riddance, Derek thought. The boy was power hungry and it didn't set Derek in a good way. Even going as far to get everyone to hate Stiles and getting Liam to kill Scott. It was too much.
He wanted to ask her so many other questions. How much had he missed out on since he left?
There was one thing that also bothered him. While he went to visit Cora, the sky suddenly changed one night. It tripped him out so much, he thought he hadn't even slept yet.
"Did a weird thing happen here? Like a sudden change in the sky?", he asked. Sam felt her cheeks heat up in embarrassment as she shrunk under her covers. That was one detail she left out of her explanation.
So her powers did reach around the world…
She hadn't meant to do that. It was an accident.
Derek looked at her in confusion. "What? What happened?", he asked quietly.
She looked up at him. "I did it…" He raised a thick eyebrow in question. "Did what?", he asked. She grumbled in embarrassment. "I changed the sky. It wasn't my fault. I had this stupid hallucination. When Stiles snapped me out of it, the next thing I know, it's night outside."
She waited for him to laugh. To let out a teasing chuckle. To tell her she was being a big baby and that it was reckless of her to do that.
He did neither of those things, to her surprise. Instead, he wrapped an arm around her, his thumb rubbing at her back. "You wanna tell me what the hallucination was about?", he asked softly.
He didn't wanna pressure her, considering the last hallucination almost made her drown herself out of guilt. He couldn't imagine what this one was like.
She frowned softly and told him what she saw. In the end, Derek was jumbled with emotions. They were bouncing everywhere. He was worried, relieved, pissed and pleased all at the same time.
He was relieved she couldn't sense chemosignals.
"I don't know. I know that house meant a lot to you, but it brings me comfort too. I don't know why. I used to get relieved when I saw it. Now the loft holds that relief for me too.", she says. He looked down at her, but she didn't meet his eyes.
Her safe place was where he resided…
He wondered if the boys had figured that out already. Maybe Peter did. It was no wonder why they smelled her all over the couch.
It was a faint smell, but potent nonetheless. If her comfort wasn't something she could explain, he wouldn't question it anymore.
She sighed and sat up. "What's wrong?", he asked.
She looked at him. "We gotta figure out who's been kidnapping people for youth.", she said.
He sat up on his elbows. "You actually wanna help them?", he asks, referring to the two that came with the info.
She frowned. "I'm not helping them. I'm helping the people who are in danger.", she corrected. "Even if it meant you had to work with them?", he asked.
She paused. Would she have to work with them? It'd be awkward and annoying. If she could avoid it, it'd be great.
She sighed through her nose. "If it can't be helped…"
She lifted herself out of the bed, floating softly on the carpet floor as she stretched. Derek watched in surprise, fully sitting up now. He really missed out on a lot.
"You can fly now?", he muttered. She turned to him. "What, jealous?", she asked, teasingly.
He scoffed with a smile as she went to freshen up. When she disappeared in her bathroom, he turned on a lamp and laid back down on her bed, looking around her room.
It seemed bigger than the last time he came. There were things that he hadn't noticed. He knew about her little bookshelf that she had acquired before he left. Her desk was neater and she ended up getting a new alarm clock.
She had a slightly bigger TV sat on an entertainment center that stood next to her bedroom door.
Looks like that spot's taken if he ever were to come back by himself. But he didn't think he'd need to sneak in the house anymore now. But, it was a force of habit.
The entertainment center was neatly occupied by DVD cases, PlayStation controllers, the console and games.
Why hadn't he noticed all of this before…?
Maybe because they were constantly running around trying to stay alive from any possible threat that harmed their lives…
Had he been doing a good job teaching her to stay alive…?
He'd like to think so, considering she was still alive.
"Your thoughts are loud.", he hears and looks over at Sam who emerged from the bathroom dressed more comfortably.
He lets out a chuckle. She smiled and walked over to him.
"What else have you learned about your new powers?", Derek asked. She hummed and used her shadow to make her float and sat on top of the black blob that floated below her.
"Well, now that I know I can change the day to night, I have to work on that before I unintentionally do that again and cause a worldwide situation.", she said.
She frowned in thought. There was a new thing she tried, but it was worth a shot. She reached for his head and plucked a strand, making him reel back, and place a hand on his head in reaction. "The hell was that for?", he fussed, scratching at his slightly sore scalp.
She floated to her carpet floor, creating a glowing resin that she had done before and placed the strand of dark hair in the middle.
It was a harmless thing, of course. She knew that, but it was still shocking to him.
He watched as the small, illuminated crescent moon appeared on her forehead and looked at his hand that seemed to glow as well.
He lifted his hand and saw a similar illuminated moon on the corner of his wrist, inspecting it as it faded.
He looked at Sam as she looked at him with a sheepish smile. "I kinda made a link to you. It'll let me know if something's wrong with you.", she explained. He understood now.
It was creative. Smart.
He smiled. "Thanks for that.", he said. Her eyes nearly sparkled at his smile. It always brought butterflies in her stomach, but brought her relief that he was still able to even after everything that happened.
She smiled.
The next day, the pack met up at Scott's house, discussing what they should do about the kidnapped.
"Where should we even look first?", Lydia asked.
"They said there were people running away from Beacon Hills, but they weren't far. So that just means that whoever's doing the kidnapping is still here.", Stiles said.
Scott turned to Sam. "Why don't we ask your grandma?", he asked. Sam looked at him in confusion. "Why my grandma?"
They looked at her, confused as well. "You… don't know?", Liam asked. She looked at him then looked at her packmates. "Know what?"
Stiles frowned. "Your mom told us your grandma pretty much knows every single supernatural thing in Beacon Hills. Including the Argents."
Sam frowned deeply, and glanced at Derek who looked at her with an expression that gave the confirmation.
The truth dropped into her stomach with a nauseating wave. Her eyes weakly blinked. "I feel sick.", she muttered.
"It's not your fault.", Derek quickly reassured.
Sam rubbed at her temples as she sat down. She knew her mom went to her grandma for help as far as protection spells, but…
It made sense that she knew about the supernatural things in Beacon Hills, but…
Why hadn't she gone to her for help before?
Sam let out a sigh, dragging a hand down her face. "Fine. We'll go to her to see what she knows."
They couldn't go to the store since it was closed on certain days so Sam drove the girls and led the boys to her grandma's house.
She stared at the house with a frown. It brought back memories that bothered her a bit. Shaking it off, she got out of her car and walked up to the porch, knocking on the door.
The pack stood behind her and waited.
Three more knocks and they could hear the old rickety door opening. To the pack's surprise, they saw an older woman that was shorter than Sam despite having some of her features.
She didn't have grey hair, rather dark hair with white streaks. Her eyes seemed approachable whilst she wore a smile that could warm anyone's heart.
It definitely warmed Sam's. She smiled and gave her grandma a hug. "Hi, granny.", she softly greeted.
The older woman greeted her back with a hug and scolded the girl. "You should've told me you were bringing company. Y'all come on in."
The pack looked at Sam for confirmation and the girl only smiled, nodding her head towards the door as she walked through.
As she looked around, she felt a sense of familiarity. She hadn't exactly been to the house in years. Seeing her at the shop was enough and she wasn't always exactly invited. Especially not recently with everything going on.
Sam was trying to avoid giving her grandmother any type of hints that she was now involved with supernatural mysteries and fights.
Now, she had no choice but to tell her. "So, why the visit?", she hears her grandma ask.
Sam turns to her, "We came here to see what you knew about the recent supernatural issues that's been happening. Something about someone kidnapping people to make themselves younger."
The older woman's face turned into a frown as she looked at her granddaughter's friends. Taking one good look at them, she pointed at each. "Werewolves," She said pointing at Liam, Scott and Derek. She pointed at Malia. "Coyote."
She looked at Kira and huffed. "Kitsune." She pointed at Lydia, "Banshee." She looked at Stiles. "You were possessed…"
Stiles looked down, scratching behind his neck. Anita turned to her granddaughter. "How long have you known?"
"About the supernatural or the recent issue?", Sam asked.
"Both, while we're at it.", Anita responded, crossing her arms. Sam sighed and glanced at her pack before looking back at her grandma.
"For a while now.", Sam responded. It wasn't completely a lie, and it was an avoidance. Anita sighed, rubbing her temple.
"I know a lot of what's here in Beacon Hills. I know what's what and weaknesses and strengths. But what you're looking for will be hard to find.", Anita determined.
Sam frowned as her grandmother walked into a hall that was lined up with bookshelves. She pulled a book out of the bookshelf in front of her.
She opened it, and walked back to Sam. "The thing you're looking for is normally called a shadow person.”, she says, handing the book over to Sam. “They drain people of their energies and life force in their sleep. But if what you're looking for is a woman, then that would be a shadow woman, of course.”
Sam looked at the description in the book then paused as she looked up at her grandma. "How'd you know it was a woman?"
Anita scoffed, "The shadow man doesn't drain people to make himself younger. More powerful, maybe, but definitely not younger. A shadow woman may be trying to make herself more physical, hence draining people out of their youth to make her look young."
Sam closed the book. "If it's just a woman, that'll be easy.", she determined, walking past her.
Anita stopped her. "Hold your horses. Why are you so confident?"
Sam turned to her, an eyebrow raised. "You don't know?", Scott asked.
Anita looked confused. What had her granddaughter not told her?
"I thought you knew every supernatural thing that happens in Beacon Hills?", Malia asked. Anita frowned. "I know of every supernatural thing in Beacon Hills. Not what happens in Beacon Hills.", she corrected and turned to her granddaughter.
"Mom's leaving you out of the loop, too, huh?", Sam said and sighed. "I can control shadows and apparently the night as well.", she confessed.
Anita was more than surprised, she was intrigued and almost seemed expectant.
"Your mom had you do some studying too, hm?", Anita asked. Sam frowned a bit, but agreed nonetheless.
If she didn't know about everything that's happened, she doesn't need to now. Sam felt no need to explain more.
"Who's been protecting you?", Anita asked. "Who's your entities?"
"Nyx and Hecate. Sometimes Eris.", Sam confessed, shocking Anita a bit.
Sam sighed. "I've done all my research and if that's all then thanks for the book, granny. I'll see you later.", she said, smiling and pushing her friends out of the door.
Anita followed and watched from the porch as the pack piled into their cars and pulled out from her driveway.
She has the power to manipulate shadows to her will and has the power of the moon…
Anita smirked.

curious abt your ocs 🤔
they're all a part of series i want to manifest in some way, i have big dreams of being an animator and making shows and movies you know the vibes.
aaron is the main character in a series i originally dubbed 'psychopimp/pomp' but im considering changing the title cause the overall plot has changed a lot since i originally conceptualized it. its the story of a young man who died in the late 80s and his afterlife in purgatory which is like some form of a temp agency in a void where dead people are given certain tasks to complete as a sort of soul weighing to determine whether they pass on to heaven or hell. another aspect that determines the passing on is if a soul has had any unfinished business or personal hang ups. he stays in purgatory for decades (the living world being in modern time) because he died at a point in his life where he was trying to get his it together but never did (also internalized biphobia and having to spend the entirety of his short life closeted). his cause of death was a car crash. his girlfriend is amanda, who's also in purgatory but they don't end up finding each other until years after their deaths. aaron didn't even know she was dead until they found each other as (tw for suicide) amanda dies by suicide after the grief from losing him became too much to bear. she was a young woman who lacked a lot of agency in her life. being beautiful was the only aspect of herself that her parents valued and taught her to want nothing short of just being the trophy wife of a rich man. her meeting aaron and choosing to be with him was initially in part to rebel against her parents as he's someone from a poorer and rougher background but she does legitimately love him down. the series would entail a lot of like supernatural action oriented arcs. this is an afterlife world specifically based off of the christian mythology of heaven and hell. there's angels and demons and the like within it. ultimately its about the two of them going through trials and tribulations on a grander scale than anything they've ever witnessed in their living lives. whilst also dealing with grieving one another and the things they were denied
(aaron also gets a demon boyfriend later on etc).

final thoughts: supernatural season 14
this might be the first one of these posts i've made where i really just have no idea what to say. maybe once i get to writing that'll change, but i'm so neutral on this season that it's hard for me to really formulate anything concrete to write down here. hm.
actually this might be, perhaps, that i'm just getting really dreadfully bored of these last 5 seasons of the show. the novelty of the writers retconning things they find inconvenient, rewriting lore to suit their whims, forgetting plot points and character traits and lore, and generally warping the show beyond recognition has long since worn off at this point. i still had the energy to be annoyed in 11 and 12, i was just rolling my eyes about 13, but now i'm just kinda like. yeah this may as well happen. so maybe that's why i don't feel any particular way??? i'm not sure.
another thing i've come to realize, bitterly so, is that this show just isn't about sam and dean's relationship anymore. which is insane for The Sam And Dean Show. of course i understand why: after season 11, sam and dean are functionally married in their enmeshed psycho relationship, and there's nowhere else to go with this. they reached the pinnacle of their devotion and there's no more the writers can reasonably do with them. they're stable. and this is why season 12 and 13 both introduced new major recurring characters to help shape and develop sam and dean in relation to each other. 12 had mary to generate conflict between them, and 13 had jack. they both revealed new sides to sam and dean and explored forgotten or overlooked or underdeveloped parts of their identities, both as a unit and as individuals. season 14 continues that, because there's nothing else you can really do here.
that doesn't mean i don't find it boring, though, lol. i've had 11 seasons of sam and dean constantly rubbing against each other and finding themselves and choosing brother above all else, and this conflict has been the sole driving force of the series the whole time. everything else was just supporting backdrop to keep them moving, keep them stressed and on-edge so that they have to make those hard choices. but with the conclusion of season 11, they've stabilized. they know who they are and what they mean to each other, and what used to be backdrop is now all that's left. the show needed to introduce more characters to create conflict because sam and dean can't generate enough on their own. and that's great for them as people, but rough for a story. and i think now that i've recognized this and i've gotten through season 12 and season 13 and now season 14... the investment in me is lingering. fortunately i only have one season left, so i'm not too bothered by this all things considered.
as for season 14—i found the "jack is sick and dying" plot really hackneyed and boring and really poorly written. i kept likening him to that whole waifish victorian orphan boy who dies to teach the main characters a valuable life lesson because truly, that's how it played out. it was so boring i'm sorry jack. you didn't deserve that.
the soullessness was interesting, and i think the complete lack of healthy communication skills between all four of our main characters really did a good job of keeping that plot tense and constantly exacerbating in the worst ways. i'm honestly upset that mary died because i was so disappointed with how she was handled in season 13, and in season 14 she really just... didn't do much, so there wasn't much of an opportunity to fix what they broke before killing her off. i guess i'm used to that wasted potential though. just a bit disappointed is all 💔
most of the episodes were pretty good. 14.12 stands out as being one of my favorites because it returns to the core Sam And Dean Show themes, with them desperate to be on the same page and choose each other. that felt really really good, especially after so long without it. and 14.15 was pretty awesome too; i really loved how they handled both sam and jack's respective plots, and cas and dean were perfect supporting characters for them. it couldn't have worked any other way so it felt immensely satisfying. generally i didn't hate any of the episodes, so that's good.
i did REALLY like the final conflict with dean and the god gun and cas and jack and sam. i think the only thing that could have made it better would be to have sam fling himself in between dean and jack—to really make a statement about how he can't lose anyone else. like imagine: he doesn't even necessarily want to stop dean, but if dean's going to die then he's going with him. he can't lose dean, and he can't live with that grief. so he decides to go with them. it would have been soooo satisfying. play on season 13's "if we die, we do that together too" and their general obsession with each other. i wanted that so badly. i can't say i'm not disappointed </3 but otherwise? i really liked the four distinct perspectives on this conflict and how they clashed. cas really felt like a character in these last couple episodes, which is miraculous considering how boring i find him otherwise, and i appreciate that. this finale couldn't have happened without him, and that's awesome! and i like that sam was so conflicted—being so against dean's plans, but being so reluctant to contradict him and fight back. the level of reticence has been born from years of struggle and a true commitment to their enmeshment, and i could really feel it. it was played so well.
dean is obviously the "bad guy" here, taking the antagonistic stance to "do what he has to" and sacrificing himself yet again. it's so him, and i like that in his grief he jumps right back into self-mutilation and violence to an extreme, those horrible conditioned responses and behaviors that he's struggled with his whole life. it felt good to watch him fuck everything up. and it felt even better for jack to agree with him, to kneel down and allow it all to happen, even beg him to do it. to say dean was right, he's a monster. because like i said at the beginning of season 13, dean sees himself reflected in jack, and this is another layer of that. it's a very intimate moment between them, two monsters accepting their mutual destruction. i think the fact that dean can't do it reflects his hard-won desire for change and his compassion, and definitely his love for sam as well. he saves jack, he saves himself, he saves sam. there's a lot of layers and the fact that jack is the amalgamation of them makes this moment so intense and so meaningful.
also just in general dean perpetuating the cycle of violence through his son and yet at the same time being unwilling to kill him parallels with both 2.01 and with ummm 1.22? pretty sure that's the one where john is possessed. dean is unwilling to kill his family. john is unwilling to kill his family. he can kill himself but family is sacred. he loves them and that's evident even through the violence they both propagate. dean is a product of his raise, after all.
anyway all things considered i did actually think the season was pretty good, even though i'm rather bored of this show at this point lol. i just want to go back to kripke era already, which is exactly what i plan to do when i finish watching season 15 :) but for now i'm starting my detox because i have quite a few wincest fics lined up for me. amen and hallelujah 🙏

Hi! Muse question to expand on the bluff post you reblogged! How does Connor tell if someone is bluffing? Could it be compared to a supernatural creature i.e a vampire with enhanced hearing being able to hear a heartbeat when someone is lying? Or is simply body language and listening to tone shifts?
hello!!! this is a very good question and i think the answer iiis largely that Connor looks for bluffs in the context of the things that he knows -- in other words he tends to weigh what someone is telling him is true against what he already knows to be true, specifically what he knows to be true about them (things he can see, in front of him), and he trusts his gut as much as he trusts several explicit, named things he can pick out and list, when he's deciding whether something's the truth or not.
Worth mentioning here is that there is a difference for Connor between calling a bluff and pointing out a lie: he doesn't care if people lie and will generally allow them to do so so long as it doesn't hurt anyone (people often like to escape something, and it is not his business what they're escaping, though - if he notices they're lying - he'll note they've got something to escape from). Calling a bluff is specifically about pointing out when someone does not hold the cards they're telling him they hold, to try to gain leverage one way or another, against him or against someone else. It doesn't matter who they're bluffing to, and he won't even always call the bluff aloud, but he will chronically call it. Stepping into the gun. Refusing to look away. Directly disobeying orders because the person who made them was Bluffing and he doesn't care for it.
This is as much to his disadvantage as it is to his advantage though: while he can usually explicitly name what's made him think that's a bluff he definitely can and will literally just trust his gut on something, take the leap because it doesn't 'feel' like the truth and he'd know (He'd Know). And if he's going on his gut, while he is almost always right that there is a bluff in what's being said. He might not always know what bluff. He might take a guess and be wrong about it. He has very good gut instincts about whether that leverage is genuine but he might not always know exactly why it's false, you know? And that can lead him to some dangerous places, but he'll make the call anyway and he usually lands on his feet.
in terms, more loosely, of how he tells someone is lying? Connor does not have the ability to measure heartrate from a distance but he can track vocal patterns, although ... truly the way he tells something is a lie is the same way he tells when someone is bluffing, perhaps more intimate though. He gets to know the person and sometimes he sets them up deliberately (very transparently, though, he adds: he doesn't think anyone is ever forced into lying, and he thinks everyone he does it to knows that he set them up and is being Mischievous about it) so he can see HOW they lie, because it is good to know what it looks like. but mostly he just gets to know them and, again, weighs what he knows to be true about this person against what they are purporting to be the truth, and sees where that fits in to the picture of them he's built in his head.
He typically has pretty good instincts for these things, but it's not a supernatural ability. It's that -51 was the first Connor to ever see the outside of Cyberlife tower. good instincts were non negotiable, he would have been destroyed if he did not have them. fifty, before him, were destroyed. He is very good at knowing who is lying and where to let someone get away with a lie.
And calling bluffs? that's HIS, all the way through. He did that on his own. Cyberlife absolutely hated Connor's capacity for calling bluffs but they had tight deadlines to meet and a near-revolution on their hands. "We should reset you, try again," they said. He said: "So do it."

The Wednesday show is good, (and I've only seen the first episode) but certain things feel... off about how this show depicts the Addams's. Like, I feel like the creators (while they got some characterisations spot on, particularly Wednesday herself) partially missed the point of the Addams Family.
For one thing, they're the ones who are different and slightly supernatural- putting them directly into a world where the paranormal is a normal (if marginalised) and recognised thing feels like it dilutes them greatly- it makes them feel too 'normal', and that's not it.
Secondly- and my biggest issue by far- is the Addams's not getting along? I mean, they've had conflicts before, and they're certainly allowed to have them, but friction between one another was never their default- and that's the very first thing we see with them. The whole joke of the Addams Family was that they're actually an EXTREMELY healthy family who just happen to be glorious, creepy weirdos and love it- the conflicts always came from outside of their family dynamics, or anything that threatened their existing harmony- not from within it, and especially not as our very first experience of this version of them.
Thirdly... Wednesday is a straight up serial killer from the start? The joy of the Addams Family is that any actual 'villainous' stuff regarding them was only implied, and cartoonishly affable. It's hard to root for someone who looks to be solving murders when she's already straight up killed/attempted to kill people? A swimming pool filling with blood being one of the first things we see feels wrong- the Addams Family charm was always their playful, goofy fun halloween-style horror, not straight up actual horror. Even when they accidentally cooked someone to death in a cake in Addams Family Values, even though that was extremely dark, it was completely unintentional on their part, and they show remorse about it and everything... at least for a few moments before going back to having the time of their lives, but that's totally fitting with their characters- they love dark stuff and will proudly be themselves nomatter what anyone thinks, and will always take down anyone who would stand in the way of them, but they're not villains, they're fantastically lovable kooks! That was always the whole 'moral' with them, if you needed to find one.
I'm sure this series is solid. I really like Enid, Wednesday, and a lot of the stuff they're doing, but those few things showing me that they fundamentally misunderstand what makes The Addams Family so appealing makes me uneasy about watching more.
This is nothing against fans of the show- it's great that you enjoy it! These are just my own personal thoughts about why this show may not be for me. It's a shame too- seeing all the gifs etc. of it here made me excited to watch it, and made me think that I'd love it! (and it's still definitely universes better than that awful Addams Family cgi animated movie...)

Thoughts
It's a bit hard to make out, due to the fantasy grumbling and also that we can't hear what the other person is saying, but it's good acting at least, from the little I saw.
As to the hint that it might be a botched kidnapping, I literally have no idea how that's gonna work because Blood and Cheese is documented in exhaustive details in F&B and you can't really accidentally say "tell me which kid you want to die so I can purposefully behead the other one instead" the way you can accidentally have your dragon eat another dragon. But, and this is an important but, this isn't the actual script for the show.
For one, HOTD season 2 started pre-production last week, so there's no way they've got scripts completely finalized and completed. For two, this is a very tightly controlled environment that is fighting against a lot of leaking. They're not going to give away pivotal plot points to an actor who's only just auditioning, especially when there are a lot of people watching the show who haven't read the book and don't know what's going to happen. For three, fake sides and the like are actually pretty common for projects that have an amount of secrecy behind them. Quite famously, CW's Supernatural wanted to keep the fact that they were introducing angels onto the show a mystery, so they had Misha Collins audition for a demon role originally, just in case he wasn't cast, and thus wouldn't go around spoiling the secret.
So in all likelihood, I honestly doubt that this is the final version that they're going with, not just because it doesn't make sense but due to the very recent beginning of pre-production that would make this an insane turnaround (especially when remember that the show only got renewed and therefore started being worked on four months ago, and had a showrunner change) as well as standard industry practice when it comes to things like auditions and spoilers.

Writeblr Re-Intro version 3!
Hello I'm doing this again because there are new wips. Also new pronouns and a new name (mostly new name, I suppose)
I'm Copper or Julius or dragon or what else you wish to call me, and my pronouns are he/they. I'm queer and neurodivergent and I really, really lik I'me dragons. My main is @copper-dragon-in-disguise, so any likes/reblogs/other assorted interactions will come from there.
Here's my wips, all of them are in the same world unless otherwise stated. Title (with a link to its wip intro if there is one), then draft number in parentheses, then its main tag in the second parentheses with the description/blurb/weirdly ominous sentences below that!
Main WIPs:
Frost & Fire (draft 2) (#wip: frost & fire):
The death of an ancient primordial dragon brings the greatest (if not particularly well known) adventurers of the last centuries together. Enna Helder-Kromlin, half-elf thief and contractor for the crown of Halmond, along with her sister, Anne, leader of the thieves guild Oleski. Anastrannia & Redari Galendel, half-dragon, half-elf siblings, one a shadow ranger and one a shadow sorcerer. They must work together, if not get along, to stop a evil dragon named Dizerdrat from trying to claim the power released by the death for himself, because if he does he could conquer the world—and would.
One of Copper (needs a re intro so no link yet but there will be) (draft 1) (title may change) (#wip: one of copper):
Decades after the events of Frost & Fire, a new age of heroes is ready to start adventuring. Only these heroes weren't exactly willing, nor were they ready. Four envelopes later and they're together, tracking down the weapon of a god and facing off against enemies none of them could fathom three months before.
Silence and Secondhand Souls (draft 0) (#wip: silence and secondhand souls):
Fate is an interesting thing. Some doubt it even exists. Not me. Not anymore. Souls don't rest until they've told their story, and I've got a long way to go yet. My friends are dead and so am I, haunting a narrative I never got a choice in. How exactly did that happen, you ask? Let me start at the beginning. Or the end, rather. I died when I was 21 years old.
There are my other wips + things that are not technically wips but have tags below the cut for length reasons
Other Wips:
Angel's Daughters (Draft ?) (#wip: angel's daughters):
A prequel to Frost & Fire that's about Enna's backstory, based on the DnD campaign I originally played her in.
Starr's Story (draft 1) (this is a placeholder title and will change eventually but i've been saying that for almost a year so...) (#starrs story):
My Camp NaNo April 2022 story. It's about some pirates, a somewhat lost heir to a fallen underwater kingdom (the heir in question being the pirate captain), and an awful lot of secrets.
A Dragon's Apprentice (draft 0) (#wip: a dragon's apprentice):
Another NaNo story, but for the actual November NaNo in 2021 (a challenge which I did not even come close to finishing. Whoops). Also about lost heirs, and by that I mean that the heir got kidnapped and the apprentice wizard had to go and find them with the help of their brother.
Things that are not technically wips but have tags (none of the below are in the same world as the wips above, they all have their own world. mostly.):
Vampire Hunter Steampunk Story (#vampire hunter steampunk story):
Exactly what it says on the tin, except I messed with the rules of what a vampire actually is sooooo *shrugs*. It also may not be entirely steampunk that much. Or at all sometimes. The title is only mildly accurate.
Space story (#space story):
The product of the single time I ventured into sci-fi. The thing I know the most about is that the protagonist is an alien from Pluto. Because I'm me I got sucked down the wormhole of figuring out if she could breathe on earth or how would that work and it was a lot of a wormhole.
Supernatural story (#supernatural story):
Not that supernatural. Dear god no. I would of called it ghost story but that's a different one and besides there aren't any ghosts in this anyway it's vampires and werewolves and one girl who's part fae.
Ghost story (#ghost story):
This one has ghosts in it! May or may not be in the same universe as the above supernatural story, I'm unclear on that.

back on my killing eve inspired au bullshit lmao tw for abuse and talks of cult stuff but like
(putting this under a cut cuz it got long y'all know the drill)
back in another fandom, there was an assassin character i was really attached to, and i remember at one point i made an au for him where the reason he was an assassin was because he was a part of this cult that twisted his brain to normalize him killing for them. this.....was not canon based at all lmao this was purely an au made for Angst Reasons, but as a part of it being excessively angsty he constantly referred to the cult leader as his "owner" rather than as just his leader or handler or something
and tying this back to the killing eve au, i'm thinking about will and lila kinda having a similar relationship of "ownership" toward the lawrence fraternity, especially with father lawrence himself. obviously it has to be tweaked a little to fit the new circumstances and characters, but i think it fits in with an idea i had that for a long time, will (and by extension, lila) were solely considered tools by the fraternity for killing, if not other things as well, and thus ended up severely internalizing that idea. it also adds another dimension where they both sometimes have to struggle to see yu as more than just someone who owns them (because he doesn't, he just guides them and takes care of them), though by the time the story starts they've already mostly gotten past actively calling him their owner in favor of just his name or alternative, more friendly/familial titles like papa or daddy when they're regressed idk just a thought don't look at me gklajdsf.
and of course, like.....the way will and lila cope with being considered "owned" by someone would be different, y'know? lila would be more snarky and rebellious toward the fraternity despite knowing she could get punished for it, and depending on whether or not i go with the fraternity (or most of the fraternity at least) dying before the au starts, she'd also be quick to want revenge on them for trapping her and will there for so long. meanwhile will is more naturally submissive and honestly would probably have been manipulated by them longer before lila even shows up/presents herself in whatever form she takes (i'm leaning more and more toward her being a supernatural spirit in this au tbh), so he tries to keep his head down and obediently follow their orders so he doesn't get hurt.
it's a HUGE adjustment when they eventually get away from the cult--even with yu there trying to help them deal with their newfound independence, will is kind of lost without them controlling him, and for a long time he has no idea what he's supposed to do without them there telling him what to do all the time. even lila tends to struggle to keep it together without someone there to give her orders despite of, or hell, even because of her rebellious streak; they've just spent so many years with the fraternity before they were freed, and the control they had over them was so all-encompassing.
becuase of this, despite yu having their best interests at heart, lila still finds herself disobeying him, ignoring his advice, and behaving recklessly against his wishes. it's not because she dislikes him (in fact, she actually does like him in this au and sees him as her and will's father figure, though good luck getting her to admit that lmao) but because that's the only form of control over her own life she's known for so long. that's part of the reason also why she eggs tanya on when tanya starts trying to track her down--she knows it's something yu wouldn't want her to do, and he even tells her that much, but it's new and exciting and possibly dangerous and she's always associated that with freedom.
of course, this all gets a bit more complicated when you factor in will and lila's pre-cult trauma with their (respective?) mothers, but those aren't headcanons i've fully fleshed out yet. there's definitely mommy issues in here though, don't you worry, i haven't forgotten about them ahgadksdjfkl. that's a post for another day, though, once i get my thoughts on that in order.
.....also, side note, i really need another name for this au, given that it's getting less and less like the show that initially inspired it by the second, huh? ^^; that's something i'll have to think about eventually though, especially if i keep talking about it like this, oops

Since you've been asked about your fic's take on vampirism, what's your take on werewolves in your fic universe? (I know you already talked about them in your vampire ask... But I wanna know more lore. So go as in-depth as you want!)
Also what was up with Leah's weird mood swings in that one scene with Bella? Did that have anything to do with her werewolf genes awakening?
since i've been slacking on my asks i actually have another anon asking this exact same question lol
to answer your 2nd question first, yes! that was nothing new or transformative, i was just emulating the jacob scene from canon to signal that the same thing was happening. that being said, stephenie's weird "werewolf temper" thing is pretty racist, and it's not something i wanted to use in the long run. rather, i just see that initial transformation process as being a sort of "second puberty", and there are probably some hormonal things going on that make people moody (it would be interesting to explore this in other ways, like getting really sad instead of angry. i may retroactively say that seth's werewolf puberty was a little depressing for him? it would make sense)
my werewolf lore is never fully explained in the fic because it's overly complicated and honestly may never be relevant to the story i'm telling. i would have to write an awkward exposition dump, so it's just been left unsaid
my goal was to get rid of the racist elements and also just to have the shifters make more sense in the broader context of the supernatural world. here are the main points:
as it is in canon, there are 2 types of "werewolves" - the children of the moon, and the wolf shifters
my shifters are an offshoot of the original children of the moon
i have not bothered to come up with origins for the vampires or werewolves (i think this sort of ruins the magic of it all), but they've just always been around as long as humans have existed
both vampirism and lycanthropy function sort of like a "disease", though it's pretty inherently magical and not at all scientific. the 2 conditions are naturally at odds with each other
my children of the moon are the same as canon lore - they are big wolfmen with little to no control over their actions that shift during a full moon
at some point during human evolution, people decided that lycanthropy was actually useful because it gave them a defense against vampires (as twilight vampires are nigh invincible killing machines). some early humans tried to "train" children of the moon to work like attack/guard dogs and began intentionally infecting people with lycanthropy to try and produce defenders for their villages
through "experimentation", this form of lycanthropy eventually turned into a genetic trait, and over time it became the wolf shifter form we know today, where people can turn into giant wolves at will and have complete control over themselves
so wolf shifting is still a genetic trait, BUT it is not exclusive to the quileute people - ANYONE in the entire world can be a shifter if they have the family history. as a result, there are actually several existing packs around the globe that operate in a similar manner, defending their territories from vampires
BUT it can't be passed from person to person through any other means, as the "disease" aspect of it was lost. it's entirely genetic, and anyone who inherits the gene can have it triggered and become a shifter. some people might live their entire lives as carriers and never become a wolf because they never had extended, close contact with vampires
meanwhile, the children of the moon still exist in a very limited capacity, as i stuck with canon on them - caius did have a rough encounter with a werewolf that caused him to have them hunted to near extinction. there are a few out there, but they don't spread like they used to and they're heavily policed by the volturi
i haven't decided if this is "canon" to my fanon or not, but i did toy around with the idea of there being some sort of werewolf artifact that acts as a beacon for the children of the moon, and the volturi have it locked up to prevent a werewolf epidemic or something lmao
and that's werewolves! they work the same way they do in canon, but their origins are totally different AND there are way more of them in the world! i think it's just way more interesting if there are more wolf shifters out there, as it gives the volturi something else to worry about lol

You know, I do believe Will has powers. And I do believe they're gonna show it. And yes, I also think it's going to be a big thing. People seem to forget that there's two volumes. And all the stuff we saw in that trailer is volume 1 material. Remember, season 4 is twice as long (~16 hours in total). There's still more than enough room for Will to discover and explore his powers, to be important as a character in general and for all these things to work well in volume 2. And beyond.
For Will's role in the supernatural side of this seasons conflict, the watch could fit in with the clock vecna has alluding to Will having some sort of semi unique connection with him or it has something to do with alarms and sleep..... honestly imo one of Will's biggest strengths against the upside down is how damn pragmatic the kid can be in life or dear situations and I'd really like to see that expanded on with whatever the Cali gang is up to
I'm going to throw these two Asks together since they cover the same topic.
I do have to keep reminding myself that we really only know anything about Volume 1. While we don't know exactly where it ends, we can probably assume it's after episode 4 or 5. You're right that they would have time to at least introduce him having powers by the time we reach the end of the season. I would imagine, though, that if they do go with him having powers, the reveal would be near the end of the season. Season 5 would then be about him learning to use his powers, so he can help end things once and for all. It would be a sort of bookend after everything having started with him in season 1, episode 1.
It's possible there's some connection between Vecna's clock and Will's watch, I suppose. They're both timepieces, one older and mechanical, the other more modern and electronic. Perhaps there is a significance to the clock that Will is able to figure out, though I don't even know when they make it to Hawkins.
If the clock is signifying a countdown of some sort, then I suppose Will might be able to figure it out. He's worked in code before, and he did a project on Alan Turing. I'd like there to be more to Will than that, though. They've really given us few hints as to what Will could bring to the table next season. All we have to go on is what he's done before.
Seasons 1 & 2 do tell us how clever, brave, pragmatic, and strong-willed he is, though. He survived in the Upside Down for a week even though he was being hunted. He managed to send messages to his mom very soon after being stuck in there. He found a way to communicate through drawings when words failed him regarding the Mindflayer. He was able to use Morse code to tell the heroes how to stop the Mindflayer, despite probably know it might kill him. Will got the short end of the stick in season 3, where he was just a walking Detect Evil spell who was pining over Mike. As much as I feel that was intentional, and probably still needs to be touched on next season, I fear another season like that will just convince casual fans that he's The Load (see TVTropes for a description).
I want to circle back to the whole watch thing, actually. For those of you who don't know, the Funko Pop (and whatever the name of the other figures are) for Will in season 4 has him reaching for his watch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's probably a stretch, but the left wrist is where El, and presumably the other subjects, have their number tattoos. I no longer believe that Will is the person in front of the burning car (probably part of a Vecna trance, if I had to guess), I still like the idea I had for what could happen if it were Will. I had written a little scenario for it, but all that really matters is that Will's watch would blink 12:00 after using his powers for the first time.
With something involving his watch seeming to be of some import, maybe they could still do something like this. Even if it isn't directly linked to him manifesting powers, perhaps it could still be used as a type of foreshadowing. It could be something as simple as his watch breaking, so, no matter how often he tries to set the time, it keeps resetting to a blinking 12:00. Bonus points if he's the only one whose watch messes up, or at least is the only one shown.
Even if nothing like that is going to happen, please, oh please, don't let Will be reduced to something like the official timekeeper of the Pizza Party.

so uh... before any of you scream at me for making up yet another au concept again please just know this has haunted me since a week ago and it's killing me help
kinda long post, beware lol
everyone knows swap aus, right? them good old swap aus. I got something similar to that, but it's technically not really a swap au. if you get what I mean. this one's a combo with the exorcist hanako au from... aaaaages ago.
the seven mysteries don't exist, but kako and mirai act as the overseers of the school, or something similar. supernaturals still roam about, obviously. there's two rivalling clans that have had ties with working against supernaturals for generations. the twins and the minamoto brothers act as the protectors of the school from the hostile supernaturals. (kou's still in third year middle school and is classmates with mitsuba, while the twins are in second year of highschool, in the same class as teru. uh-oh)
amane is a bizzare case, according to the minamotos. he actually has the courtesy to be merciful to supernaturals, unlike teru who wouldn't hesitate to eliminate one right on the spot. kou is confused about this, but he does develop second thoughts about what's actually right and wrong with what they've been doing.
teru manages to get to nene first. he doesn't really trust her and has always resented how much time his little brother has spent hanging around her. exorcists weren't supposed to be friends with supernaturals, is what he believes. nene tries to evade his attacks, however, she gets cornered and is about to get exorcised when kou manages to step in and block his sword with his staff. amane without warning grabs her by the hand and they both leave the train.
they meet nene, a ghost of a girl who had died when she was in first year of highschool. it takes kou a bit of time to get along with her (nope, scratch that. they become friends immediately) and she and amane tend to bicker a lot (to the point kou would compare them to a married couple, much to their chagrin). they all become buddies though. especially nene and amane. probably much more than that. tsukasa is completely against their friendship at first, but comes to accept it a little.
we remove the entirety of the picture perfect arc and replace it with something similar to the severance/red house arc (and maybe even this current arc too). the two along with teru and lemon (yes, lemon is an exorcist too) go into the far shore to look for nene and the rest of the innocent people a certain evil supernatural had lured into the place. they agree to split up and do a thorough search in the train going to the afterlife.
so they're in the tunnel. amane's still running, nene's trying to get his attention, prying her hand away. she stands there, demanding what they were doing in the far shore when they should have just not bothered to come looking for her nor bother saving her from getting exorcised. that pisses him off and he grabs her by the shoulders and shakes her around
"shut up! you think I asked for any of this?! you think I'd just let the person I love disappear like that and act like it was nothing?! huh?!!"
"b-but—why would you care?! I'm dead, remember? if disappearing means you can have a chance of a normal human life without having to deal with supernaturals, then I'm fine with being forgotten—"
that was the last straw, and then he pushes her against the wall (not in that way, you weirdos, think of the last page on that cloud scene in pp arc, it kinda looks like that), stares right back at her, tears in his eyes. that surprises her. he never shed tears, at least not in front of her before.
"...don't you get it, yashiro? it's quite ironic, actually." he gives off a shaky laugh, his head lowered down to avoid her gaze. "it's when im with you that I feel like I can be the most normal guy I can be. when you made me those donuts... when you would ramble on and on about so many things... it's when I'm with you that I forget about this entire exorcist bullshit, even for a moment."
nene freezes. she couldn't say anything back, and can only stare at him as he pulls her closer, burying his face on her stomach and his silent tears began to develop into full-blown sobs. he's really holding onto her tight, reminding her of the night of the severance, how much he tried to keep her from shattering.
and that's when she realizes, he was being serious. if there had been any doubt in her mind, here was her answer. he cared about her, too. she mattered to him. the ghost of a girl who had her life cut too short, a ghost who barely had anything to show for, was someone precious to him.
well that's kinda how I think this current arc would work in the case of this au and I've yet to attempt to reimagine and rework every single thing in canon to make this one work but yeah! this is just some incoherent rambling from me, lol
alright I'll go to bed now it's almost 12 am haha bye

hello! i'm not sure if anyone's asked this yet but i recently got into twilight again and i'm really peeved by the way demetri is kind of 'undermined' in a way? and the way jasper is kinda overglorified too. like i get edward reads minds but demetri's probably had EXTENSIVE training, especially being besties with felix; they're like hitmen ffs (1/4)
and what are your thoughts on dem as a tracker? do you headcannon him as the GOAT of trackers or there could be another? and what about felix? is he like the GOAT of all the physically superior or is there something about him, maybe like an unconscious allure about him? (3/4)
also, I LOVE SECOND MEETING!! it's one of the most beautiful pieces of writing i have ever read and THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WRITING ABOUT DEMETRI, there is a severe lack of it and it's an insult to not have more written about him. out of curiosity (and fear tbh) will he die in the end? because if he does i want to be prepared for it xD (4/4)
Thank you so much for loving my Demetri! I feel like my headcanons for him are pretty different from most people's, so it's always nice when someone enjoys it.
I do think Demetri is the greatest tracker to ever live, at least in the last few thousand years for the Volturi to know about. James is really the only comparison that comes close in the saga (who knows what's going on with Alistair's gift). James's gift seems to be a combination of instinct and intelligence along with a great sense of smell... Demetri doesn't really need any of those things! Or at least, he's surpassed the need for them. His supernatural instinct as a human has sharpened into this psychic, almost telepathic ability to find literally anyone, anywhere, and his ability to track someone via the mind of a mere acquaintance is just mind-blowing. If he's ever met you, or even met someone who knows you, he will find you if he wants to. I don't know whether he operates more like a G.P.S. or a magnet (I assume both in tandem), but I imagine that from his perspective there's this whole world full of the minds he's catalogued and he can hone in on any one of them at any time. (So imagine how disturbed he was to run up against Bella's gift, especially when she spread her shield in BD and made all those other minds disappear!)
Demetri and Felix do make a great hit team, what with Demetri's ability to find literally anyone and Felix's skill in combat. They've probably trained to fight in tandem with each other. And their apparent friendship is actually pretty special, since in Volterra there's such a class distinction between gifted and ungifted. I don't primarily think of Demetri as a fighter (no details about that in canon, I don't think, and his gift wouldn't help) but like you said, he's been at this for a thousand years now. He's probably had every sort of training available to the Volturi, since his gift is an asset worth protecting at almost any cost.
Like Maria, the Illustrated Guide says Felix does not have a "quantifiable supernatural ability," so I guess that does leave a little wiggle room. (Maria seems to have a vague sort of Eleazar-type gift, after all, or at least very good instincts about a person's potential.) Felix's tenure is an interesting exception to the ungifted=temporary rule. Without or without an extra ability, I think he's charmed/fought his way to the top and has shown a strong ability to manage the other ungifted guards, so he's worth keeping too.
And having a gift isn't everything! Like you said, we tend to think of Jasper as being sooooo deadly in a fight, but in reality most of his combat experience is from fighting baby vampires, and his gift wouldn't even be all that useful in a complicated battle where his allies and enemies are all tangled up and moving every millisecond. He's deadly and experienced compared to the other Cullens and newbie werewolves. (I do think he's a formidable opponent when it's one on one, though, since he's probably able to use his gift more in that scenario.)
I'm not sure if you've reached the end of Second Meeting and if this is a spoiler--Demetri is still alive at the end of the fic, but he's... very broken. His loyalty has been patched up but it's so frayed and unpredictable. Aro and Caius were already wondering if it might be time to go tracker-shopping, and after his display in the final chapter, his life is definitely on the line. BUT you never know what could happen down the road... I would love for him to break free someday and make a life for himself. It'll take Aro and Caius a while (centuries?) to find anyone worthy of replacing him, so at least he's got time. (Chelsea would have to be neutralized somehow, so it's unlikely but... you never know what might happen.)
