Been thinking of Aventurine a lot and the fact Ratio never uses his name

When Jade was talking to him his name was still Kakavasha and right before that the IPC news mentions a “Egyhazo Aventurine” fraud case and Jade mentioned how he lied to the Intelligentsia Guild so it seems very possible to me that Ratio met him before he was Aventurine and maybe that’s why he only ever refers to him as gambler? Maybe he actually uses his real name but knows he can’t say it on Penacony? Just seemed odd how he NEVER says it, not even when talking to other people about him. The only time we hear Ratio say the word “aventurine” is when he’s talking about the stone to Sunday, but he never says it in reference to the person Aventurine.

I’m probably overthinking this but it just seemed like the dialogue was going out of its way to keep Ratio from saying Aventurine, but when there was no way around it they just had him say gambler

Edit: Should add that I play in English and haven’t looked at the other languages, so maybe it just so happens that he never calls him Aventurine in English even tho he does in other languages? In that case this wouldn’t matter at all but I have no idea

#that fraud case must be how aventurine got his name too #my theory is he told them they would find aventurine if they dug somewhere #so they must have told him well you may as well be named Aventurine #as a stone heart since I’m pretty sure he became one right after that convo with Jade #anyway I digress #this would be very embarrassing if it turns out Ratio DID say his name somewhere #but I watched all their scenes again and couldn’t find any instances so if I missed it someone pls tell me and I’ll delete this #I have no theories as to WHY he wouldn’t switch to using the name Aventurine tho #maybe he thinks it’s disingenuous? not sure #I’m most likely overthinking #aventio #honkai star rail #hsr

#who needs a mommy when you got a tommy #the first time shes does this its preschool teacher maria’s idea #shes four and mothers day is coming up and its usually a hard time for her so joel lets maria know just in case she has any behavioral issue #miss maria is like 🫡 i gotchu #she makes sure to emphasize to the kids that families are all different #they spend every day of may leading up to mother day reading books exploring diversity in families and talking about what mom really means #that it doesnt have to be the person who had you in their tummy or a girl or even a person we call mom #for example miss maria’s real mommy wasnt so nice growing up so miss marias TRUE mommy is just her daddy and her auntie rose #because those are the people that loved her no matter what and kept her safe and taken care of and fed #thats all mom is #it just means someone thats there for you every day and loves you and cares for you #someone who is one of your favorite people and who would say the same about you #all the kids go around and say who they think are their moms #mosy say some iteration of ‘mommy’ and ‘mama’ or ‘grammy’#but then baby ellie says ‘tess and auntie marlene’#and baby sarah says ‘uncle thommy’#one of the other littles says ‘daddy and miss maria’ 😭#and they all make heart cards for their mommy firgures #they cant write or really read anything but a few letters yet #(even though hyperlexic baby sarah does have pretty incredible letter recognition for her age)#so they tell miss maria what to write on their cards and then decorate with oil pastels #sarah’s says dear uncle tommy thank you for being my mommy you are so funny and i love when we play horsey and princesses. happy mommy day #when he picks her up at the end of the day shes like HI MOMMMMM all giggly and hes like ????? hi???? whats this???? I miss when shows had stupid goofy shit in them that you were supposed to take seriously. I miss robins "holy ____ on a ____, batman!" I miss spiderman crawling around like an insectoid, I miss weird shit that doesn't make sense like "a meteor crashed down on Earth and awoke mummified lion people that lived in caves for thousands of years", I miss when in scooby doo they'd eat fog or dracula hosted races every year, i miss "Columbo has a skateboarding descendant Boronco" or "Napoleon's descendant runs a terrorist organization that wants to take over the world bc its noisy and he wants to sleep". I love batshit plots with weird circumstances that make no sense but they're fun and entertaining-- give me shit that comes out of nowhere and baffles me but is still fun. I miss that kind of stuff man :/
