Funny enough, most Stereks have pulled away from Teen Wolf fandom completely and made their own little community separate from Teen Wolf, so when the movie came out the Teen Wolf tag didn't make number one on Tumblr, but the Sterek tag was #1 on Tumblr for about a week. Then it went radio silent for a bit because fix-it fics were frantically being written, which flooded ao3 soon after. Probably why you didn't hear about it. The Sterek tag is used way more than the teen wolf tag 😂
