ik this isn’t the topic at hand but. just wanted to say… i always felt the division of your art blog from your personal blog was so original content was easier to look through instead of wading through other misc posts (like the fashion and aesthetic posts you like to rb every now and then). not to, like, divide the art from the artist… i think you being silly and answering occasional random asks adds to your art. like knowing you see clothes as a love language??? now i understand your labelling deku’s shirt as ‘hamster’
i don't really get your point (my fault) but
yeah that's why i made this side blog kjdfnf, a bit ironic that I've been clogging it with asks sorryyyy
thank you for seeing it that way! <3 that's why i didn't want to separate my fan art from my main at first, i always felt like my sketches were just another part of my animanga blogging, like it's just another medium to communicate my thoughts and interpretations :D
the hamster label was added with loveeee

What if Gotenks lived with his dad Vegito but on weekends he lived with his other dad Gogeta but this is sort of a recent thing becasue Gogeta didnt secure split custody until recently so Gotenks doesnt really Know Gogeta that well and he goes to his modest and hearthlike apartment and feels disquieted becasue it is VERY DIFFERENT from the sensory-overload distraction-chamber that is Vegito's lavish house. And Gogeta doesnt narcissistically abuse Gotenks so Gotenks doesnt relaly understand him at all and he really doesnt get how an adult could be so calm and not get angry and yell at him over little things and so he thinks that Gogeta is actually just really furious but hiding it and so it takes a long time for Gotenks to trust him and trust that he genuinely isnt mad at him. But at the same time it doesnt take long at all for Gotenks to respond to his genuine calmness by feeling the most secure & safe that hes ever felt but he doesnt really understand that or why that is and he doesnt understand why he feels so yucky when he has to go back to his other home on Monday morning and so he just ignores it and plays iPad and skateboards. And every Friday night he gets so nervous he gets nauseous and Vegito always uses this to say "You dont have to go over there sweetie :) Do you want to? You Do Not Have To Want To" and then he yells at Gogeta over the phone about it. But without fail every time he gets to Gogeta's apartment and adjusts Gotenks does feel better and sometimes just falls asleep on the couch. And Gogeta makes tea every evening and it's sooooo yucky to Gotenks but he still drinks it every time becasue Gogeta made it and he deosnt have the maturity & wherewithal to understand that it's becasue it makes him feel included and cared for.
This isn't dragon ball any more not even close like not even a little bit

Domestic Diplomacy II is turning out to be even more "splickedy gratuitously gets caught in the weeds of xenosociology and alien language barriers, the fic sequel" and tbh I'm not mad about it
--
“Oh, your moirail!” says Jade, and bounces upright, ignoring John’s wary little soft human cautionary hiss. To your vague surprise, she’s apparently learned enough not to do the human holding-out-a-hand gesture they usually do when they’re introduced; she clasps her hands in front of her, nonexistent claws politely folded in, and ducks her head briefly forward and to one side, careful not to jab at him with her nonexistent horns.
It's a pretty passable greeting—for a social equal, which is its own bizarre issue, considering he’s a highblood. But relatively non-offensive, for a human, and fortunately for her she’s picked a highblood who isn’t likely to give a shit. Gamzee laughs out loud and gives his own lazy-ass version of a greeting back, a vague twist of his wrists and dip of his head, condescending to use an equal’s greeting back at her. When he says “Gamzee Makara,” there’s a hint of a threatening buzz to it, a testing you should know to respect me warning—you could have told him she’d show absolutely no sign of hearing it, which is exactly what happens.
“I’m Jade Harley! I meet you,” Jade says, a carefully neutral statement-of-fact greeting—not fawning or hostile. You don’t know if humans are out here just learning neutral address no matter what, or if this human particularly just doesn’t give a shit that your moirail’s a fuck-off mutant-huge highblood with horns that scrape the ceiling of the block—by the expectant way she looks up at Gamzee afterward, she wouldn’t give much of a shit either way. Out of all of the humans, Jade Harley might actually win the prize for giving the least shits, no matter what Rose and Dave like to pretend.
“Yeah, I meet you too, motherfucker,” says Gamzee, looking incredibly amused, and glances down at you. “She’s a rude-ass little motherfuckin’ toothful, huh? I like her.”
“Of course you do,” you say, pained. “Don’t take it personally, alright? You’re not a highblood here, they don’t get highbloods.”
“Oh, best friend,” says Gamzee, and kisses your nugbone again, embarrassingly. “I’m a highblood wherever the fuck I go. It’s cool though. Squishy-ass little motherfuckers won’t get any grief from me.”
“<Motherfucker>,” Jade repeats behind you, and switches back to English, in the bright, wide verbal tone you’re starting to learn means ‘smiling and happy’, weird interstitial ‘vowel’ breath-sounds further back in the throat through pulled-back mouth-corners. “Hmm, <motherfucker>… Oh, neat! Is that dialect? It sounds like, ahh, what’s that other word. Kk—kkkht— Uh, dammit. You guys need to learn how to use vowels— It sounds like <;brother>.”
“It is like,” you say, surprised despite yourself. “<Brother> is a troll, and <motherfucker> you put it all spots you want. It’s a thing, it’s a troll, it’s a, tss, a doing-things word, it’s a name. It’s bad, it’s good. Any spot you want. And he does want, for all those, all the time.”

Knives canonically picked Legato up "on a whim." However, this does not mean that Knives took Legato under his wing without reason; it just means that Knives did not find him with the intention of making him into a servant. He stumbled upon him by complete accident, having no prior knowledge of him— but he did choose to take him along for a few reasons.
Knives comes to this village full of sick criminals and complacent bystanders, and he slaughters them all like the pests that they are. He meant to kill each and every one of them, no one left standing. And yet, this singular boy manages to evade death. This boy looks up at him with wide eyes and he does not run in fear or beg for his life. Knives realizes in an instant that it was not a fault in his powers that led to this boy surviving— no, this boy was special.
"Curious," he smiles, "I thought I cut them all down, yet one remains. Doesn't seem to be a coincidence. Did you manipulate my body?"
He knows the answer is yes. He is simultaneously amused and vehemently bitter about the fact that a human has not only managed to escape his inevitable death, but also managed to take some form of control over him.
He hates it.
In one swift motion, a blade manifests in his hand and he presses it against the boy's throat. The boy gets down on his knees. Knives expects him to plead for his life, beg to be spared, but instead the boy says, "Allow me... to serve by your side." He says he will remove his strings, and if Knives so wishes, he can cut off his head as he pleases. He says he will have no reason to live if his wish is not granted.
How curious. A rather odd way of trying to gain mercy. Knives does not trust it.
He moves his blade closer. The boy's long hair falls away as his blade slides through it as if it were just a thin veil, and the boy's skin cuts just as easily. The boy does not flinch. He looks up at Knives with tears in his eyes, and those eyes scream gratefulness. A silent "thank you, for freeing me from my suffering."
Knives' eyes widen. He pulls away his blade. He smiles down at him, and asks his name. The boy bursts into tears and tells him he does not have one. Knives knows those tears are not from fear. He names the boy "Legato Bluesummers."
Why?
Why, out of all of the humans in the decades that have passed, does Knives not only spare but take in this one? What emotions was Knives feeling upon seeing that face?
There is more than one answer. To begin with, Legato made not the slightest attempt to run from Knives, fight him, or plead for his life. There were no "prey" responses. Knives could tell that this boy did not have any self-preservation because he did not even consider himself worth the ground he walked on. He was weak, he was pitiful, and is existence was even less than a human life— this was a caged animal. This was not a cornered one like Knives himself, with teeth bared and muscles tensed to fight. This was an animal that had completely given up on existence. Legato did not care whether he lived or died.
However, he was still a human, and thus not worth sympathy. Perhaps in that brief moment when Legato smiled at him, Knives felt something resembling sympathy, but he would never call it that. He would call it pity. He would say it was more like the way a person spares a small bug even though it is a pest that is small and helpless to fight back, and say that Legato was not even worth killing. He may even hide the truth from himself, and say that he saw potential in that empty shell.
It would not change the fact that he spared Legato's life. It was much more like the way a human attempts to save a bird with broken wings, even though they know it is helpless. It was a moment of sympathy, compassion— weakness. Knives would rather die than admit to being weak. It does not change the fact that he spared the bird even through he had always chosen to just kill them to put an end to their suffering.
