trying to reorganize my life for new years

through the power of agile brainrot i'm doing a new thing for time tracking and i kind of want to share it here (especially since i don't have a real update for pigeon-splice like i wanted)

so last year i tried to figure out organizational methods for the stuff i had in my life because my current system - writing down weekly todos and then breaking those into daily tasks - wasn't really working, both in the short term (large tasks that need to be done during the day get kicked, forever) and long term (no tracking for long term projects with deadlines)

but then two things happened

i read up on agile stuff

i got put on a better release type of my meds and holy shit i am less wiaefrjueiwahjfdeioswAFHeouihf (and then got put back on the old version because of a miscommunication between docs and then put back on the new version, more on that later)

I'm not a big fan of kanban because i feel like in card form seeing all of the cards you have in your queue gets extremely overwhelming, especially if you dont have a good way of organizing them by tag (so really, i just hate trello).

but scrum. im in a deep love-hate relationship with scrum. Here's my understanding of scrum, which may not be entirely accurate, with commentary -

Sprint - a length of time where work is measured, usually 2 weeks - no comment, perfect length of time, love that

scrum points - how much work you think a task will take, which will help determine the amount of work you have planned for a sprint - this can get ambiguous depending on the work you do. What happens if something goes wrong? What happens if you need more information and need more time? I understand that there are many tasks that you can learn to estimate well, but at what point is a bad estimation due to your performance or outside factors?

burndown chart - how many scrum points you estimated vs how many you've actually done - this helps with the issue with points and i think its good in theory but also i really don't want a chart of how poorly im doing thats easily accessible by someone higher up in the food chain who might want to decide who to lay off

Sprint planning - a meeting where you plan what will be in a sprint - great. no commentary.

standup - a meeting with your team every day to discuss what you're working on - introspection is good but why do i have to tell my entire team this information every single day. i have an anxiety disorder

sprint review - discussing how the sprint went and how much you got done - good, great

sprint retrospective - basically the same as the review but with vibes - not sure why this is a different meeting but ok

Basically i like the idea of scrum and i really like the philosophy of its work tracking but i feel like the implementation of it in a team turns it into glorified micromanagement. But this is for personal use? Seems good, lets try it out

This still doesn't really help solve the long term project problem but for that i organized the year into financial quarters, like a completely normal person.

So for every quarter this year, i'm planning on having a set of quarter wide goals (duration measured in a month or more), a sprint level goal (duration of days - weekish), and a daily goal (should be as simple as possible).

My general goals for the year is get better at art to the point where i'm finally happy with it, get through all the craft supplies i've accumulated through the years, do big stupid projects, and get healthier i guess. This quarter I'm working on a big BD2 project, a couple of sweaters, a few art challenges, and cleaning my apartment. In the end, my breakdown for this looks like this:

Q1:

Quarter-wide

* BD2 Project

* Two sweaters

* 3 art challenges

* Deep Clean apartment

* Ramp up back to exercising regularly

* Get 6 pages into the pokemon cross stitch project

* Get 2 haircuts (usually i get 1.5 every 3 months...)

Every sprint

* Run 4 times

* Make 1 good painting

* Make 1 practice painting (Q1 emphasis on portraits)

* Make 1 jewelry set (necklace, or earrings, or whatever)

* Buy food

* Clean out previously cleaned parts of the apartment

Every day

* Draw a bird (practice painting)

For this sprint I'm about to start, Bidoof (I named my sprints after dinky pokemon), I have the following specific goals which may intersect with the list above:

Ooblets Painting

Carpenters Close To You Practice Painting

Ahmed Aldoori's 100 head challenge

Clear out my closets

Make a fish pendant and lil anchor earrings

Page 2 of the pokemon cross stitch

Make squares for the current sweater i'm making

"Wtf is LSDJ" and beg people to listen to what i come up with

Get the music plan into LSDJ

And for any tasks that I didn't finish, they either

get kicked to the next sprint, in this case Carbink

get obliterated to hell

so i have the flexibility sometimes to push things off if they're not working out. i have already kicked out a lot of the LSDJ stuff because last week i had to go back on my old meds so i had to transition to old antidepressants and then transition back again to the new antipressants and my brain didn't like that. but its fine, we're fine. help

I then have a todo list i make for the day in the morning and i try to grab whatever i can from the goals list.

and yeah. i hope this helps getting my stuff together for this year. i already feel more on top of things but that might just be the antidepressants so

I also put things into the queue immediately after they finish so that my content can stay fairly consistent when I’m active. In addition, I do not work on ‘first in, first out’, instead going wherever my inspiration for certain characters/concepts lies at any point, so I do requests rather out of order most of the time. It may be a while before you see yours finished, but I do guarantee you that asking me a lot whether it’s done/if I’m working on it will not speed things up! Sorry in advance.

I do lots of research, but, sometimes my facts in content (whether historical facts or canon events facts) might be inaccurate. Most of the time this is because I’m choosing ~aesthetic~ over accuracy, but I’m also not perfect and may mess up. (I promise you, I will NEVER live down the Cheslock oneshot where I somehow blanked on the fact that June 4th was the cricket tournament and not the last day of classes. 😂)

If you request Grell or Doll/Freckles, please specify which pronouns you would like me to use when writing! I headcanon Grell as genderfluid and Doll/Freckles as bigender, so for Grell I am just fine using ‘he/him’, ‘she/her’, and ‘they/them’ pronouns; for Doll/Freckles, I am fine using ‘she/her’ and ‘they/them’ pronouns. If you don’t specify pronouns (or make it clear by using them in your ask), I will simply go with whichever ones feel right to me in that request.

I do art, audios, and video edits in addition to writing! Video edits are usually done without request because I pick the songs based on my own tastes, but I do often ask opinions on which one my followers want to see. And you can always request art and audios!

If I am not comfortable writing a certain request/topic/etc., I will answer the ask VERY QUICKLY so that whoever requested it isn’t waiting for something I don’t think I can write. This is for my own sanity to avoid adding something “to answer later” to my drafts and forget, and for yours so you know up front if your request won’t be filled. If I do not answer the ask quickly, then it is in my drafts waiting to be filled!

But holy fucking shit. I did it.

So I took my iPad to work this morning and connected to the hotspot on my phone because I couldn’t get on ticketmaster via the work wifi. Fair enough. I got all set up, brought the site up at about 9:30 for the presale that started at 10:00, and I was ready to go. My students were working independently because I told them we were going to do an “experiment” and see if they could actually figure out how to work on their assignment on their own without me giving them the instructions a million times and I bribed them with class points. My students very conveniently have recess at 9:59. (Total coincidence. That is their actual recess time.) Then 10:00 came and went and nothing happened. The screen was loading and loading and loading and then it popped up with the date and time for regular tickets. I knew that was wrong.

At about 10:07, I went to the ticketmaster twitter and saw that west coast presale had been rescheduled for 3PM. At least a was then able to calm down for a bit, but we had TWO parent teacher conferences scheduled at 3:00! All the 7th grade teachers were meeting together to do the conferences. I finally was able to slide my iPad over and get into the waiting room at about 2:50. I left it on a desk behind me, but another teacher saw me keep glancing back at it. Jokingly she said, “What are you doing? Trying to get Taylor Swift tickets or something?” To which I responded, “YES I AM IM VERY STRESSED!” Something like that. (She basically said, “Well get me one too!” So we’re going together! She’s also very excited!) The queue started at 3:00 and I saw the dreaded “2,000+ people ahead of you.” I did not panic, but I did sit there and watch the thing not move AT ALL. I was ultimately waiting about an hour and ten minutes before I got to look at tickets. I know people were waiting for hours, so I think that was pretty good! The little slider showing where I was at started moving, but the 2,000+ did not. Very suddenly at about 4:05, my number dropped to about 1400. Then suddenly 1100, then 400, then like 40 all in about two minutes. I was getting all worked up. The other teachers in the room looked a little frightened, but luckily our conferences were done.

When I got in to get tickets, there were not a lot left and they were disappearing under my fingers as I was trying to click on them. It was very chaotic. The stupid credit card company sent me THREE codes to ensure it was me AND I got a fraud alert message. But I finally got through all of that and got our tickets! I was freaking out. Another teacher was freaking out on my behalf. The PE teacher was giving me fist bumps. It all still feels like a dream.

Maybe a minute later, three of my seventh grade girls walked in because they had a basketball game tonight and I saw them and I said, “OH MY GOD GUESS WHAT I JUST DID?!” And they all freaked out!

It was quite a day and I’m not even sure how to go on.

hi! im a new icon blog and i love ur blog, i wanted to know if you have any tips on how to use tumblr and such?

ahh i'm so flattered by this i literally teared up reading it,, thank you so much nonnie｡ﾟ･ (>﹏<) ･ﾟ｡

i'll post my response to your question under a read more since i get pretty rambley lol :) tl;dr though, i like to use the queue feature a lot so i'm only posting once or twice a day, and i think things like "promo posts" and introduction posts are really helpful!!

unfortunately i'm not very sure what about how i use tumblr is specific to me, i'm winging it too haha! for me personally, having the queue to schedule posts at a certain time instead of posting the second i make them helps me a lot with not getting burned out, and feeling like my blog has more structure!

i have made the mistake of posting 8-10 times a day on old blogs and it made it feel much more like a chore than something i enjoy doing, (´-ω-`) it's a personal preference, but i would recommend using the queue to post 1-2 times a day and taking it slow. especially since every fandom has a limited amount of media, there's only so many things you can make you know? although getting excited is still okay, my queue has over 100 posts in it right now www

something i see a lot of other people doing is having a pinned post as to general information about yourself, like how to refer to you, what sources you like to do, etc.! some people also like to tag and ask other "bigger" blogs to share that post and get the word out so you can start posting more, so it doubles as a promo post! i think that can be really helpful and i've done it myself in the past :)

if you're looking from some inspo as to what these posts look like i think @/sugarypalettes' is very appealing visually, as well as being effective and concise<3

overall though it's important to keep in mind that it is your blog at the end of the day. i've let bad looking posts loom over me, or i've felt bad when i don't get to requests on old blogs for personal reasons. prioritizing yourself and having fun with the blog is the very most important thing imo!! having a steady queue lined up for a rainy day also helps me not worry about that so much :)

i think it's important to remember that your blog is what you want it to be and you should work on it as much as you want to, not out of some obligation or feel like it's a chore.

also don't be afraid or ashamed to put a lot of tags on your stuff !!! it may be specific to me but i feel so silly putting a lot of tags sometimes, but don't be ashamed of it !! if you want people to see your post then put a bunch of tags on it!!! you are so valid!!

and personally, if you're on pc, i love looking through cute themes for my blog and playing around with them in the settings ♡(>ᴗ•) but again that's just if you want to, there's nothing wrong with having default! i think it's still really charming and a lot of people use it, and it's all mobile users will see regardless

i'm not sure i can think of much more advice to give haha. maybe you'll do something that's out there that i didn't even realize you could do. but if you do decide to make the promo post please tag me in it!!! i'd love to support you and see what u do with your blog!!! welcome to the community (´｡• ω •｡`) ♡ we're so happy to have you! thank you for sending in your ask nonnie i hope this was helpful!<3

What I've Been Up To And Upcoming Projects

So, I know i havnt been posting much art lately. It's mostly been reblogs.

I want to change that, and i have quite a few ideas for what i'm going to be getting up to. Some of the projects have already been set in motion.

But first things first, where have i been? Well for one i moved. It was under very stressful conditions and the reason for my household moving was imperative so there was a strict deadline. That was super stressful and with the unpacking and adjusting to the new house i haven't had a chance to fully recover yet. My mental health has also been pretty janky recently. The move was super bad for me in every way and i was coming off an antidepressant around that time and starting a new one. That also caused some problems. I also wrecked my arms kinda bad doing WAY more physical labor than i should have recently, so drawing for long periods of time has been painful.

Now, onto what i have going on with my art.

Art Commissions in exchange for Sky IAP

For starters, i'm going to be opening my art commissions for in app purchases on Sky children of the light! I will have around 3 slots open i think (all in exchange for days of rainbow iap or candle packs). So expect a post about that soon! If you want to dm me or reply to this post because you are interested in that and dont want to wait until i get all the info organized in a pretty infographic we can discuss it. I will be down for both Sky related art and non Sky related art. Also as a note i will be advertising both here on tumblr and on reddit

A side blog dedicated to my pokemon OCs Orion and Ai

I have already made the blog and started on the ref sheets, typing up the story, working on rough drafts of comics, and organizing all the info in an easy to access way. You can find the blog @ask-orion-and-ai but nothing is posted there as of yet and the pfp is temporary. The story will mainly focus on Orion, Ai, Ingo, and Emmet. It will be driven by the fact that Ingo and Ai have been sent back to Hisui and that Emmet and Orion are looking for them

My music related side blog

So i already made a post about this but i did make another side blog for music related things. I have been working hard the last couple days to set up the queue for the first couple months of the blog running so that i can mostly leave it alone. The groundwork is done so i can now only have to work on it occasionally and can focus my efforts on other things as well

Requests (5/23/2021)

Hi lovelies! I’ve been getting so many requests & I’m working hard to get all of them in the queue. Thanks for sending them my way! I’m writing to let you know that the queue is now full until the end of June. I was able to get every requests from my May 8th post in there except for a few. Requests from May 8th for captions featuring Katy Perry, Jenna Fischer, Marisol Nichols, Addison Rae, Ariana Grande, Erin Kellyman, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Jhene Aiko, & Kirstin Maldonado will be posted in early July.

But there have been an absolute ton of requests since then too, yay! So I’m listing all the requests that I haven’t gotten to below. If you made a request but don’t see it below that might be for a few reasons. 1) I’ve written it already and it will be posted in June. 2) It’s one of the requests I posted on May 8th so I won’t talk about it here. 3) I considered it a demand not a request (for example, I received two that said “Anything with,” that wasn’t really a request just telling me to do it. Sorry if this bothers some of you but it is an issue with me so make sure you word your requests AS requests). Either way, thanks for the love, lovelies! :D

Hi I just had an idea for a game you could do. It could be where someone has to say as a boy what they’re like physically in stages. So first stage is hair color for example, second stage could be height, third stage could be body type, etc. An example would be if I was a black hair, short height, thick body type, I would match up with someone like Nicki Minaj. Just an idea which you could extend on. Hopefully it makes sense. I appreciate you!

I actually have a game like this mapped out called “Build a Sissy” where you choose age, hair color, and bra size, but it would take a LOT of work to make so I haven’t written it yet. Maybe some day though. :)

So it is not an issue with CGI “enhanced” celebrities but for Cats it is because I do not have a Furry fetish and I get uncomfortable thinking about writing caps for it. But I write caps with “manips” all the time (photoshopped images of celebs) so I’m not ruling out CGI enhanced celebs all together.

How about instead of removing the captions with Demi in them ,the images of Demi were just replaced with another celeb and if Demi is mentioned by name in the caption then that could be edited to mention a different celeb. I respect Demi's decision I do but lets not lose some well made captions. Also if you could please make a caption where Amy Adams feminises a fan and raises them as her daughter and Kristen Stewart makes you her submissive wife that would be appreciated. So about the Demi Lovato captions: I understand your feelings but I’m still going to delete the original captions. Because of how my captions are made I can’t just go back in & swap out an image or edit the text, I have to remake it from the ground up. I am hoping to do that with some (maybe all) of the Demi Lovato captions & re-publish them, but I’m still going to delete the originals.

I can do the Kristen Stewart one for sure and I’ll TRY to do the Amy Adams one I just am not 100% sure I can find a pic for that but we’ll see. :)

About the hiatus: I don’t know when it’s going to be. I want to TRY to make it to at least July 18th because I have a specific game in mind I want to post for 5 years of Celebrity TG Captions games, but after that I have no idea. I’ve been writing caps for a longer stretch of time since normal since I’ve switched to a part-time blog so I might burn out at any second but for right now I’ve still got some juice.

Hey, I've been reading your story for a while, and I'm enjoying it very much. Following the De Villiers has been so fun, and you've inspired me to create my own royal Simblr!

Can you maybe share some tips about what to do with your royals? I'll be posting my family within the next few weeks, and I have already planned out several engagements + events, including visits to parks/schools/hospitals, parties, and news surrounding a royal pregnancy. I've also planned out the first arc. I don't know what else to do, and I've barely started! If you have any tips related to the beginning of your Simblr that you didn't cover in your other post, I would so appreciate them. I want to get all this nailed down *before* posting, so my blog is the best that it can be.

Also, if you have any advice on how to make things as efficient as possible (especially regarding posing sims, editing/writing posts, etc.), I would love that! I want to cut down on time wasted wherever I can.

ill answer everythin under the cut !!!!! spoilers: it got long sorry

first of all, remember we ALL started somewhere. you can look at my first like... fifteen and even MORE posts and they are BAD. oh my gawd idk why i thought they were good, but hey! i learned things from them. you will more than likely change your mind about certain things from the beginning of your blog to who knows, four months from now. don’t focus and worry a lot on ‘perfection’ and setting up ‘high standards’ from the beginning. treat it like a learning curve! this is something we all do for fun, so don’t get stressed a lot on it. you can always change and adapt things and that’s no problem!

i love lists, so im gonna list a few things of advice/tips basing myself on what you said!!!

i personally don't do engagements anymore, so i can't really help you in this regard of even more activities you could do 🧍‍♀️ what i could recommend for people to get to know your characters' personalities and private lives and grow attached to them, add in BTS posts.

continuing on my BTS’ post thing, they are a GREAT way to show more than what the public sees for your royals. because from a press and public point of view, you don't really know 'what goes on behind closed doors'. they could be all happy in public, but in privatE??!??!!?!?

as i said in my starting out guide, i did have around ~15 drafts done before i started posting. just so i could not stress about “oh my god i dont have any posts for tomorrow”. a LOT of ppl do posts and queue them as they go, and they have MANY posts done and usually they start accumulating and they are MONTHS in advance compared to what they’re currently posting. if this method works for you, you can definitely use it!

please, please please read your dialogue OUT loud. is it possible to say a 2093023902 word sentence without a singular use of punctuation? do people in this age and era really talk this way? also please if possible use correct grammar. just a little pet peeve, it can take a reader out of the immersion your story gives them.

we all have our lil dialogue habits. mine is starting sentences with “oh” and the infamous dash “—”. others use ellipses. just make sure you aren’t overdoing it. for example, doing a sentence like “oh— there you are. i was uhm— looking for you. how—how are you? its—i mean where have you uhm— been? yes—ive—ive been fine. you? i mean— your mom” ....just no 😔 it doesnt read well at ALL

you can always do lil filler posts, dont tell anyone tell you otherwise. post a little simstagram post, a little family portrait, updated portraits post, family hanging out, kids hanging out, etc.

for posing sims, i do try and remember where MOST of my poses are in the ingame list. usually creators’ correctly naming the poses helps a lot. for example i need a Mel Bennet pose; hers are usually ALL in the same spot and have the same lil aqua bg so i can easily find them. sometimes, i dl pose packs VERY specifically for a certain scene. am i gonna use them again? no. so i open the .package file in sims4studio and rename them to “00 for emi scene [rest of the og name” so when i open my game, they are around the top of the list! no more scrolling and i easily know what i need it for.

dont be scared to plan things that are happening MONTHS from now or anything in detail. some ppl dont like planning things in detail, or even dont like planning things AT ALL or things that arent happening say, in over 2 weeks because idk, they get bored. i recommend at LEAST having a list of things that HAVE to happen so you have ‘goals’ and you slowly plan out how you’re gonna get there. at LEAST theres some level of planning there. if you’re posting and PLANNING as you go, there’s gonna be holes. and it’s gonna be obvious.

editing wise, i don’t do much. my reshade does most of the work, i just add in my psd, add text and done! this is easily the fastest thing you will ever do.

if you get inspired by someone else doing, idk, a certain layout for the portraits, them adding little things to their captions, a certain edit, etc. if you want to do something similar and you ARE very much aware you were inspired by them, credit them in the caption. i beg. its free, its the nice thing to do, bc if not its rude.

if you get inspired by a certain storyline someone else did and you notice yours is gonna be similar, go ahead and send them a message to let them know and if they have any tips or feel uncomfortable with you doing this. simply put, if you don’t, you’re gonna look bad. we are all bound to do same storylines, such as assassinations, shooty shooty’s, stalkers, first loves, accidental babies, etc. but what changes is how each person approaches it. no ones gonna do it the same way as you and others. if you CONSCIOUSLY start copying else, stop it. and you could even be unconsciously be inspired by someone else too. it happens! just make sure you are able to look at the bigger picture and realize “hey, i’m doing something wrong”

same thing with dialogue. you like a line someone else said in their story? don’t just... steal it and incorporate it into yours word BY WORD

OVERALL: you can be inspired. give credit where it’s due. and don’t copy because someone else is doing ‘something others like’ and you want others to like your story. no no no !

im adding this AFTER i posted it but, be yourself. in the way you interact with others and send questions, etc. don’t try and copy someone else’s personality because they are liked and essentially absorb them. be yourself and i’m sure a lot of ppl will like you the way you are : D

for my writing dialogue etc, this goes back to my point 8. i use milanote, its free and you get 200 free thingies to use, and i plan out how every single one of my posts is gonna go. so i just have to go ingame and i already know what im gonna do. no thoughts, just taking screenshots. for example, this is how a part of my part 2, chapter 3 posts layout looks like. every square is a post that has what is happening, who is in it, what is gonna be said very vaguely, etc:

11. and the most important tip! don’t compare yourself to others. i did it at the beginning. i think we all did at one point. its not good for you at all. please always remember we all are here for share our lil stories with each other and it’s not easy get a following. you’ll get there and its gonna take time. be patient, be nice!!! and i cant wait to see your story!!!!!!!!!!

1. are you going to buy the new pack (cottage living) when it comes out? no, it looks really nice but i legit never ever buy packs at launch, especially cause this one is a expansion and it will probably go on sale at some point

2. do you p*rate your dlc or buy it legitimately? buy it legitimately 👌

3. what’s your favorite world? brindleton bay, it gives like seaside cottage vibes. willow creek is good but it’s boring.

4. if you use a queue, how many posts per day do you set it as? 3 or 4. i used to do like 12 lmaoo what even was wrong with me

5. do you watch sims on youtube? yes, i watch mainly malixa, oshinsims, and msgryphi

6. what are your thoughts on the most recent pack? (dream home decorator) those sectional couches look good! but honestly im kinda annoyed because now it’s even harder to have all the items filled in when i place lots from the gallery. like i’m just saying like a lot of builds will use that pack probably and if i don’t get it then i can’t really use builds/save files

my old old simblr was a sideblog but it had like 1 follower and it literally a bot so i don’t think that counts. i have a multifandom sideblog though

10. do you have a cc finds blog? i wish. i was thinking bout it earlier and that would be sooo neat but sometimes i download stuff that doesn’t have a tumblr post attached to it, and also it’s stressful to keep up with so nah

11. are you wcif friendly? yes sir. in fact i bring the trouble of wcifs onto myself but doing them even when nobody asked.

12. what’s your favorite sized household to play with? (ex. 1 sim, 4 sims) gonna have to think on this one, honestly 1 sim is really fun and stuff goes by so fast. doing stuff with astrid when she was on her own, it was much more efficient.

for families, i haven’t done that in a while actually. 5, 2 parents and 3 kids is cute tho. why did i write this this is honestly such a hard question

13. if you have c&d, do you play with pets? i feel like i haven’t played with cats and dogs in forever. honestly i just have no paitence. noelle fae was supposed to get a cat (there’s a food bowl + cat bed in her house) but when summer vacation started, the amount of time i spent playing ts4 decreased a lot. (this doesn’t really make sense, i have a lot more time. honestly it just has to do with my recent obsession with a certain anime/manga and some other personal thing)

i did random nightmares in may though and i had pets frequently. g5 didn’t because sofia scarlett lived in an apartment, but g2/3/4 had cici, and g1 had all the cats. but that was back in march so it’s been a while.

14. what lifespan do you use? i really want to do aging off but then i feel like it drags on. but aging legit stresses me out, sometimes i just want to sit down and do some cas stuff but i only have 2 hours in real time and there’s like 4 days left till one of my sims’ birthdays.

15. if you own a lot of packs, how many of them have you actually played through? just so everyone is aware this question was made for me

i feel like eps require a specific save made for testing them out, but the only save i’ve ever made for an ep is noelle fae’s get famous save.

that is literally a lie - i made a save for island living with one of my 100bc kids, maisie acapella. i did actually post it on tumblr BUT then i deleted all the posts BUT i reblogged them on my alt account BUT i privated my alt account so i honestly forgot about it

i have never played through discover university or watched anyone do it on youtube, i’ve read gerbits’ story about it so i think i’m pretty qualified. i’ve always wanted to do one with periwinkle acapella but i never got around to it

another ep i know nothing about is get to work

i tried doing a eco life playthrough but i hadn’t watched any videos and i was like..what is going on. so i quit lolx d ;;;;; i mentioned it but the whimsy stories legacy was the first time i had played with the eco lifestyle features so technically i think i know what im doing

i got outdoor retreat literally on monday of this week so i haven’t played through it yet.

jungle adventure i still don’t know what’s going on. i remember last year before i bought the pack i was brainstorming, and wanted to do a ja playthrough with luna and cedar, who are a couple who i did a random legacy with and it was all queued to post when i deleted everything (if you’re wondering why, it’s because my queue was literally 200+ posts). except this time i didn’t save them to my sideblog so i lost them.

i still havent had a restaurant in dine out

also never did the vet thing from cats and dogs

i have no idea what that rock climbing thing is from snowy escape but i did most of the other stuff because rn g5

city living i did through psc stage 5 and also it was the first pack i bought anyways

the rest of them are either stuff packs or i ended up playing them through casual gameplay (seasons, parenthood)

16. what do you do as you play sims? (ex. listen to music) i listen to music most of the time, or listen to commentary youtube videos because i am an alpha chad. i also used to talk with my friends on voice call but i don’t do that anymore 🥲

17. which sims challenges have you tried? random legacy, whimsy stories, perfect sim challenge, 100 baby, legacy (just the plain get-to-10-gens one), random nightmares, berry zodiac, astrology legacy, apocalypse

i feel like im forgetting some.. honestly most of the stuff i did before simblr was either 100 baby (i love that challenge) or random saves that lasted for 2 seconds.

18. do you like the new(ish) hair swatches? nah.

i do appreciate that most cc hairs have a true (ish) black, thank god! and the fact that the hair update is what inspired me to update and fix a bunch of hairs with different issues is pretty nice. but will i use them? no.

plus it takes up like 5 gb? depending on how many packs you have.

20. what is the cc/ingame hair that looks the most like your own? i think that dream home decorator side part hair looks a lot like my hair. honestly i havent see much like my hair but that one is kinda-? close

noelle is blonde and has blue-grey eyes. she wears purple contacts pretty often though (because she wants to 😌)

alari has light brown hair that is kinda curly, and she’s got pretty vibrant blue eyes.

they’re sisters, alari is 3 years older than noelle. noelle was 19 and alari was 22 when they got spotted

they worked as models when they were young adults. their jobs involved dyeing their hair blue/pink, and they would model like clothes and stuff. anyways, they were pretty successful. like not ultra famous but they had enough money to not work for the rest of their lives.

their modeling group was made of 4 girls, the others were named paisley autumn and they were green and red, respectively. some things are:

22. if you use cc, are there any cc creators that you have like ALL of their items? this is such a good question! i hoard hair very heavily (my folder is 11gb) i so i have like 97% from most of the popular hair creators.

i think i had legitimately EVERYTHING from simstrouble though, i went through multiple times to check and i also have all of her retired stuff.

i have everything from ridgeport i think-? because of the fact that she uploaded all her stuff in one big zip.

i think that’s it.. for a long time i also had everything by clumsyalienn, but then i ended up deleting it and only keeping my faves.

and looking at my collection, maybe ah00b? i might be missing a couple but i at least have like 99%.

23. what’s one pack you think is underrated? dine out, it’s laggy af yes but it’s such a nice thing for my sims to do.

When you were in about 7th grade, your real father got killed in a massacre a couple cities over. He was not only a police officer, but a great father and husband as well. He treated you and your mother amazingly, and you thought life couldn't get anymore perfect, but soon that all went down hill. After his death, your mother's health depleted and she felt empty inside. She needed somebody else to make her complete. She decided to call an old friend from high school, and next thing you know he moved in. He seemed like a nice guy at first, but soon enough he was beating you guys mercilessly, enough to leave large bruises and scars whenever you didn't do exactly what he asked, in your eyes though, it was more of an order. You hated being ordered around, but you hated your mother getting beaten around even more. It seemed like a blessing that he hasn't tried to rape her, but god knows what he'll do, he's unpredictable

With all of this happening, you decided to tell him you were doing some "extra curricular" classes in college, but what you were actually doing was taking the Hunter's Exam and learning nen. Your biological father was kind-hearted and fun to be around, but he was also strict and sometimes a bit harsh, though he always meant well. Before his passing, all three of you would go out on the weekends to train, exercise, or do something that would enhance your body power and brain power. Because of this, all of you were exceptionally smart, and bodies all well toned. Sometimes your excursions would be going to a park and practicing a sport, driving to the snow and sledding, skiing, snowboarding, and every once in a while going to another state to zip line, try animal encounters, or take a family friendly class in that state's heritage and customs.

Since you were accustomed to hard core training and events, you thought the Hunter's Exam was quite fun, and was a test to your skills. After that, you were scouted out by a strong nen user by the name of Biscuit Krueger. You and her had lots of fun training, and with her pushing your limits to the utmost best, you turned out to be a specialist.

(Whenever I imagine myself in Hunter x Hunter, this is always my nen type and stuff LMAO)

Your power was called, Black shadow. You could have up to 10 weapons on hand, completely subjected to doing your bidding. These weapons were linked to you through blood, and they were surrounded with a substance that appeared to be black mist. The weapons you most preferred to practice with and use were your katana, blood string, and scythe. You could also make a weapon yours by cutting a fingertip and letting the blood drip onto the weapon, altering the appearance then gaining that black "mist", showing that it was now yours. The downside to this technique was that those "shadows and mist remnants" were your sleep. The darkness in your mind and the shadows all around you were taken and used for that power. In turn, you were always tired, yawning, and had bags under your eyes. Another plus side though was that you had a nen created chamber that had every weapon you owned. A girl can have some fun toys, can't she? You had tools for torture (whenever you took an opportunity to try it), many varieties of weapons, and of course, more snacks. But unlike B/N, you didn't have just fatty snacks. You had regeneration potions, healthy snacks, and special nen created "snacks" to help with different things, which all of these you had collected through pulling some strings. Your mother was worried, but you said it was all just college things. Yeah, just college things..

Feitan POV -or whats going on with him- :

"What time, is it.."

"8 AM Fei!"

"Shut up, green eyes, too loud."

"Phinks, what, do you, want-" Phinks just ignored his question and pointed to the TV.

This is Channel 12, reporting live from York New City Town Square. People all over the city are claiming to be seeing a string tied to their left ring finger, leading them to some unknown destination! What is this string? Who put it there?-

"AY AY IM ON TV! THE STRING THINGY JUST LEAD ME TO THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRL AND NOW WERE DATING! SUPER AWESOME!"-

I apologize for the interference, but this string appears t be leading people to.. partners? Soulmates? Find out tomorrow morning, this is Amy Starwick from Channel 12, signing out.

"No❤️" Since Feitan was on his last nerve with Shalnark, he decided to stomp over towards Chrollo in the main room, but Chrollo just chuckled.

"Wanna go find your soulmate? See if that things real?" Feitan just stared at the ground, lightly shifting his feet.

"Go ahead, I don't mind."

"Just, doing it, out of, curiosity."

"Mhm, curiosity, go find them." And with that, he was dismissed. Feitan wanted to say it was curiosity, but deep down he had this feeling there was something else, but what was it? It made his stomach tingle and he didn't like it one bit. He tried to ignore all of this, and just shrugged it off...

"Alright, today's the day, he'll be at his work, and on his break, i'll set the plan in motion.." Both me and mom don't like him, and I don't know about her, but I sure hate him, every ounce of him. The plan is simple: 1. Capture mom's boyfriend, 2. Take him to an abandoned building, 3. Torture him and get all of the answers I need, and 4. Kill him. His break is at 12, and he usually goes to get takeout every other Friday, what a pig. I'll give him a taste of his own medicine.

Time: 11:30 AM

Ok, I have everything ready. Fully energized to the utmost extent, Elixirs to bring him back in case he passes out too early, and- what? He's leaving for lunch early? PERFECT! You ran behind some buildings and hid in a two-way alleyway, waiting for him to pass by...

Around 12:30, you were going to text one of his coworkers that he would be "going to a restaurant across town, and ditching work for a day, not wanting to see his stupid good for nothing girlfriend or his dumb daughter." You knew he called you both this because of going through his text messages when he wasn't looking or when he was sleeping. Little did you know that somebody was watching you from afar.

"Hmm... So, she, my, what do people, call it.. soulmate? Seems, interesting..."

Time: 12:00 PM

"Jesus, I new he was a fat ass but I didn't know he weighed this much!" You were tugging him from his legs through the back ways of York New. You wanted to find a secluded area, where once you were done with him you could just toss him somewhere for the birds and maggots to eat. After walking for what seemed like hours, you came across a set of abandoned buildings, specifically the one you laid out some extra things. A couple extra weapons, some towels, a change of clothes, a chair and some rope, a couple of flashlights, and of course, some snacks. Lucky for you, the douchebag you've been dragging around like a rag doll was still out cold, so you picked him up and tossed him on the chair, tying his wrists, ankles and neck to the chair.

"Maaannn, this is boring!! When the hell are you gonna wake up?!" As if on queue, you saw his eyes start to flutter open, and you immediately grabbed your box cutter. It wasn't a weapon used by your nen, but it was quite effective.

"What.. who.. wait- Y/N!? WHAT THE FUCK?! UNTIE ME NOW BEFORE I BEAT YOUR ASS!!" you didn't notice it, but Feitan was watching from the building over.

What, the fuck? Why she kidnap him? That pig? Why? Confusing, gotta keep, watching.

You shoved the box cutter into his left cheek, and you bathed in the glory of hearing his screams of pain.

"How does this feel, you bitch? Everything you've done to my dear mother, everything you've done to me, and heck, YOU WERE PROBABLY BEHIND MY DAD'S MURDER DURING THAT FUCKING MASSACRE!!" B/N noticed the tears in your eyes, and took this to his advantage.

"So what if I was? Both of your parents were pathetic anyways."

"NO THEY AREN'T! YOU'RE THE REASON WHY MY MOTHER'S LIKE THIS NOW! YOUR THE FUCKING REASON FOR EVERYTHING SHITTY THAT'S HAPPENED TO ME!!"

"Heh, hehe.. hahaHAHAHA! YOU KNOW GOD DAMNED WELL THAT ALL OF YOU ARE PATHETIC! WANNA KNOW WHY I GOT WITH YOUR MOM!? BECAUSE SHES HOT. AND SHE HAD GOOD MONEY FROM YOUR FUCKING DAD. YOU KNOW WHAT I WAS GONNA DO?! YOU KNOW WHY I TOOK OFF EARLY TODAY?! I WAS GONNA RAPE YOUR MOTHER AND MAKE YOU WATCH, THEN KILL BOTH OF YOU AND RUN OFF WITH ALL OF YOUR MONEY!! AND YOU KNOW WHAT'S IRONIC?! I DON'T HAVE ONE. SINGLE. FUCKING. REGRET. IF IT WASN'T FOR YOUR DAD, YOU SOULDN'T HAVE HAD THE NERVE TO DO THIS, YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ABORTED!!"

You couldn't handle this anymore, tears were falling down your face rapidly as you grabbed the duct tape and closed his mouth shut.

"I don't give a fuck about what you say.. I'm going to kill you here. This is your grave. Someday, I'll join you in hell, and when I do, I'll torture you again, and the Devil will laugh. You just watch and ducking wait you, you.. PATHETIC WORTHLESS PIG ASS SLOPPY ASS NASTU FUCKING BITCH!" With that, you grabbed a couple super worms in each hand and shoved them into his ears. Even with the duct tape, you could hear his screams of agony as the worms dug deeper into his ears. You then got our your katana and slashed him across the stomach, and shoved even more worms into that open wound of his. Quickly, you poured a large bottle of the elixir you had brought over him to keep him from dying so quickly. Box cutter still in hand, you carved small lines all over his arms and legs, then ripped off the tape to hear his desperate cries. You imagined he wanted to be dead, but you didn't care. His pain and you pain mixed together and you just started laughing. You through your head back and let yourself laugh. all of the pain this man has caused you and your mom will be repayed today.

But the pressure and stress was too much to handle. Your laughing of victory soon turned into screams and more tears, as you let yourself fall to the ground, not even noticing you didn't hit it hard, something had caught you, or someone..

What the shit am I doing?

Am I really going to kill him?

What's wrong with me?

What will mother think?

What would dad do?

What am I doing with my life?

You soon snapped out of all of those negative thoughts though, as you noticed something caressing your face lightly.

"Rest, now. He, won't die, so quickly. I'm, Feitan." You were a sniffling and crying mess, so all you could do was rush into Feitan's chest and cry. Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around you and held you close. He had no idea what he was doing, for he had only seen this kind of skin on skin contact in movies. So, he did what those people in the movies did.

"Don't, worry... It's all, going to be.. okay."

“So, how do I look?”

After mindlessly waiting by the public bathroom (while snacking on popcorn from a Mickey-shaped container hanging around your neck), you were greeted by Jaebeom. He was dressed in his gift shop attire—a classic, grey Disneyland sweatshirt paired with patterned black joggers. Even with the brim of his Mickey embroidered bucket hat hovered over his eyes, it didn’t take away from his confident smile.

“I think it’s nice,” you answered politely, while awkwardly pulling a thumbs up.

It caused him to laugh, and your cheeks warmed up instantly. “It’s not too loud?” He followed up before walking behind you. You were a bit taken aback by his actions, but still allowed for him to shove the uniform he previously wore into your backpack. “You should’ve seen what Mark bought. It’s definitely… a lot to take in.”

Timing couldn’t have been any better, because Mark walked out right after. You were sure Jaebeom was exaggerating to get a reaction, but he was… not wrong. His matching set of Disney characters in bright colors could make him easy to spot, even pitch-black darkness.

“What is this, Fashion Week?” Jaebeom teased the older member, snickering quietly to himself. You were doing your best not to laugh yourself, so you continued to stuff a handful of popcorn into your mouth while you watched their interaction.

“Hey, it was on sale!” Mark protested with a small frown, though joined in on the laughter after. He made his way towards you before putting his old clothes into the backpack as well. “It doesn’t look that bad, right intern?”

“Huh?” you mumbled with your mouth still obviously full. You took a moment to quickly clear your mouth before answering. “No, it looks good, Mr. Tuan.”

“Ah, you’re just being too nice,” Jaebeom playfully rolled his eyes, his hands comfortably settled in his pants’ pockets. “You know, you don’t have to be so formal with us anymore. The cameras are done rolling, it’s just us three.”

“I’m being serious!” you reassured, a small yet panicked smile evident on your lips. You weren’t sure if his words were genuine or some sort of a test—so you decided to stay cautious and play it safe for the time being. After all, you were still technically working for them.

“Alright, alright, let’s stop picking on the intern,” Mark interjected kindly once the laughter’s died down a bit. He managed to already grab the masks that were in the front pouch of your backpack too, so he handed one over to Jaebeom before wearing his own. “Let’s go, we don’t know how long the line’s going to be.”

Disneyland at night had a completely different atmosphere. The concrete pathways were only illuminated by street lights and nearby signs, but having all the brightness also oddly felt… calming. The summer night breeze was comforting too, and the crowds have died down since the morning. You, Jaebeom and Mark began the trek towards the ride that they agreed to go onto, which was located in an area called Mystic Point.

“Are you sure this is the scariest ride here?” Jaebeom asked Mark, who were both walking on each of your sides. No matter how many times you tried to walk a little slower until you were fully behind them to give them space, they always managed to bring you back to them again. According to Mark it felt like they were being stalked, and it felt more comfortable to have you next to them instead.

Mark still had his eyes on his phone’s screen, using his thumb scroll through the article he found on the ‘scariest ride in Hong Kong’s Disneyland’. “That’s what it says,” he shrugged in response. “Apparently it’s like some type of haunted ride.”

“Haunted?” Jaebeom repeated, sounding a little shocked. “Isn’t Disneyland supposed to be for children? Why would they make a ride that’s scary?”

“I don’t know, ask Walt Disney,” Mark retorted as he reached back to give Jaebeom a nudge, causing your eyes to slightly widen. You didn’t think he would do something like that with you there, but you tried your best to refrain from laughing.

There was just something about this whole predicament that felt weird—you felt like you couldn’t be too casual, but you couldn’t be too formal either.

Thankfully Jaebeom responded with a lighthearted laugh.

Silence littered the air for a few minutes, and it wasn’t uncomfortable. You all just wanted to get to the ride as quickly as possible, so that you’re given plenty of time to get on the bus without the rush. Mark had his eyes on the map, Jaebeom was humming to a song, while you were just trying your best to keep up despite your exhaustion.

The walk uphill was a challenge. You didn’t imagine spending the entire day walking so much, but you figured it was a good workout anyway.

Upon finally arriving at the destination, the three of you were left in awe by the sight of the Manor displayed before you. It was this tall, Victorian-looking home illuminated in a cosmic blue light, and it vaguely reminded you of the Haunted Mansion in the other Disney parks.

“Wow,” you heard both Mark and Jaebeom say in unison, clearly enamored by it.

“Do you want me to hold anything for you while you two are on the ride?” you asked, despite having to ruin their small moment. You wanted them to enjoy their free time, but there was still a schedule you needed to follow.

They only responded with a strange expression—almost as if they were confused as to why you had asked something like that in the first place. “What do you mean?” Mark was the first to say something, “You’re coming with us.”

“Me?”

“Yeah, who else would we be talking to?” Jaebeom joked, giving you a light nudge on the arm. The contact alone was enough to make you feel shy for whatever reason, and no matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t resist his charm. “You’ve been watching us do things all day, and you haven’t been on a single ride. Come with us.”

“But I really don’t want to come between your free time… I’m fine, seriously! There’s a bench over there that I can sit in and—” your words didn’t seem to matter to them, because before you knew it, you were being gently dragged inside. One of their arms was linked with yours on each side, and they began to walk up the stairs without giving you a heads up.

And you didn’t fight it. Because deep down, you wanted to come along anyway.

There wasn’t much wait time. Which was surprising, considering the crowd the members drew in earlier today. The line was moving fairly fast for a popular ride, and the surroundings made waiting easier and more entertaining. Inside the manor was a well-lit hallway that slightly resembled an underground railroad, matched with green paneled walls and stone flooring. Various photos in golden frames hung together, each with portraits of important marks of history.

“I feel like I’m in a museum,” Mark remarked as the three of you were asked to step in a room with the crowd that was in the queue with you. It was a closed space with brown and golden walls, and a screen placed in front for everyone to see.

The room turned pitch black before anyone could say anything. The screen began to play a video in black and white, which was similar to how those old-timey films were decades ago.

Hello! Could you hear me out there, from the back of the projection room? Oh! Welcome…

You felt a hand wrap around yours, and you froze. It was as if all of the air had been sucked out of you and you found it hard to breathe, because when you turned to see who’d grabbed onto you so suddenly, you could only see Jaebeom’s profile illuminated by the screen’s light. He wore a small, yet genuine smile as his eyes watched the movie projected on the screen. His lips moved and you assumed he was making small commentary of what he was experiencing, but you were too in your head to really decipher what he was saying.

Why does it feel like your heart’s about to jump out of your chest?

It felt like you just faced the hardest three minutes of your life. You tried your hardest to focus on the screen along with the talking monkey animatronic in the bell hopper uniform, and thankfully, it was over before you knew it. Jaebeom’s hand released from yours once the lights turned on, and you caught your breath. Blood continued to pump loudly in your ears while your head stirred, you let Mark and Jaebeom go ahead when the doors finally opened without them noticing.

After weaving through another set of brick pathways and metal fencing, the three of you finally arrived at the actual ride. You were quietly waiting for the green vehicle to park where the three of you stood so you could get in, mainly because you still couldn’t process what happened in that projector room.

Did anyone else see? Should you have just bit the bullet and let go?

“Hey intern,” you heard Mark call, which snapped you out of your trance. You looked, only to see that he and Jaebeom were already settling into the front row of the vehicle. “Don’t back out on us now, we’re already here.”

Hearing that made you relax a bit. “Sorry!” you apologized softly with a bow, then sliding into the back row alone. You pulled the lap bar in front of you and waited for the employee to make sure its in place, your eyes wandering everywhere else but Jaebeom direction.

“That room was kind of scary, wasn’t it?” Jaebeom asked Mark while the employee checked your vehicle’s lap bars. The sound of his chuckle was loud enough for you to hear. “I didn’t know it was going to be dark like that. Sorry if I squeezed your hand too hard.”

“What do you mean?” Mark answered. “I had my hands in my pockets the whole time.”

“What?” Jaebeom said in disbelief. “I could’ve sworn I was holding onto someone’s hand… If it wasn’t you, then who could it…”

Then, he figured it out.

For what was classified as a ‘haunted ride’ it was very… family friendly. In fact, it wasn’t scary at all. The ride basically gave you a tour around the infamous manor, and you watched it come to life. Inanimate objects singing and moving back and forth, dancing tiki statues in a room with lava, the bell hopper monkey getting into different predicaments from time to time—it was still a good ride, nevertheless. You liked it better than the Haunted Mansion back in the American Disney parks, and if you could ride it again, you definitely would.

Though no matter how immersive it felt, it was hard to really enjoy the ride when your mind was riddled with pointless thoughts. They were mainly about the boy who sat right in front of you, and you wondered why it had such a toll on you out of nowhere.

“Can I be honest?” Jaebeom spoke up as the three of you exited the manor. “That ride wasn’t scary at all. It was nice, though. I liked it.”

“Right?” Mark agreed. “I thought the same thing… it was still fun though. What about you, intern? Did you have fun?”

“I thought it was fun,” you answered with a smile. “That part in the end was probably my favorite. I felt like it was raining magic.”

Your words caused for the two to chuckle.

“Where should we go next?” Jaebeom wondered, glancing around the area. The night was coming to an end, and it was almost time to leave. “We probably have time for one more thing before we have to go back.”

Mark was attentively on his phone, as it looked like he was talking to someone through text. You and Jaebeom looked at him expectantly, waiting for some sort of guidance because he was the one who’s been leading you three to begin with.

“Uh…” Mark began, still keeping his eyes on the screen. “Jackson, BamBam and Yugyeom are actually at Tomorrow Land right now, they’re asking if we want to join them in line for Space Mountain. If we run, we might be able to catch them.”

“That sounds fun,” you encouraged. “You should go, it’s a good ride. It’s like the roller coaster you rode on with everyone else, but inside.” Maybe this way, you could go back on the bus early and take that nap you’ve been dreaming of.

Silence simmered between everyone for a moment, since the decision was ultimately up to Jaebeom. You were confident that in the end he would join the others though, considering the fact that he wanted to ride a thrill-seeking ride to begin with.

But boy, you were wrong.

“You can go, Mark. I’m kind of tired.”

Just when you thought things couldn’t get more awkward between you and Jaebeom, here you were. The two of you were standing idly on the side of the pathway, glancing at each other from time to time like you’re waiting for someone to say something… anything. You didn’t imagine you’d be stuck with him for the remainder of the evening, but you promised management you’d them back on the bus safely and on time.

“Are you hungry, Mr. Im?” the words were finally coaxed out of you, though, it was more of a way to break the awkward silence. Your grip on your popcorn container was a little stronger than usual, as your knuckles turned pale.

“I kind of am, actually,” he responded with that warm smile, softly patting his stomach. The answer was just enough to have you quietly sigh in relief. “Let’s go look for a stand that sells those churros. I saw someone eating one on our way over here, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterwards.”

You and Jaebeom then went on a small quest to look for a nearby churro stand. You two were directing each other with really no sense of where everything really was (all because Mark was the one who knew where to go), but you were making it work. Besides, with the map not having special points for churro stands, the two of you had to rely on memory. And even then, it was a challenge.

It took you two a while, but the mission was completed. Jaebeom secured his two churros, and you got a refill on your popcorn by a stand located in Main Street. The two of you decided to sit in a nearby bench, which was the best call on Jaebeom’s part, considering the fact that you were beginning to lose feeling on your feet. It didn’t really hit how exhausted you were until the moment you took a seat let your legs rest.

At least your surroundings were nice. Main Street always looked beautiful at night, with its stores perfectly illuminating the streets. Not too far away too, you had the perfect view of the castle. If you waited long enough, this would be the perfect spot to watch the fireworks show.

“Listen… About what happened in that projector room…” Jaebeom brought up amidst the silence, clearing his throat.

That alone already made you tense up, because you weren’t sure what was going to happen. “It’s fine! You didn’t know it was me, and I totally understand Mr. Im.”

He made a face after, one that’s filled with concern. “Are you sure it didn’t make you feel uncomfortable? Because I just grabbed your hand out of nowhere, and it was really stupid of me to not check who it was before… holding it for so long.”

Hearing him say it that way caused for your cheeks to burn. It suddenly brought you back, remembering the way his hand felt around yours. How you it made your heart stop for a second for whatever reason, and looking at him made it all the more overwhelming.

You tried to snap out of it multiple times though, and you responded kindly with a soft smile. “Trust me, it’s fine. Anyone would’ve been lucky to hold hands with GOT7’s very own Im Jaebeom. Even if it was on accident.”

The two of you spent the remaining time you had comfortably. You continued to stay stationed in that bench, sharing a conversation that mainly involved Jaebeom asking questions to get to know you better. Where you were from, how you got the job, your interests, some of your favorites, etcetera. You didn’t realize how kind and genuine he was until now, because he really paid attention to what you had to say. It was nice.

“Okay, be honest with me,” His body sank lower onto the bench, hands properly folded over his lap after throwing away his leftover churro wrappers. His eyes were intently staring at the starry sky, though his attention was on you. “What did you think about us before meeting us? And I’ll know when you’re lying, so answer truthfully.”

“Um…” you took some time to really think about the answer, because you could say something that may potentially offend him. Fingertips drumming against the plastic popcorn container, you pressed your lips in thought. “To be honest, I thought you all were going to be intimidating. I mean, no offense, it’s just that I don’t know any of you personally. So, I assumed you all weren’t going to like me from the start.”

“Intimidating? Really? None of us look intimidating—maybe Mark or Jinyoung might be an exception, but the rest of us… we’re like the total opposite,” he laughed. “Besides, we like you already. Jackson’s been talking about inviting you to our outings when we’re not shooting.”

“I didn’t know I became the eighth member of GOT7,” you quipped, which made you softly giggle. Your eyes were on the stars too, while your arms tightly clung onto the popcorn container. “I can’t sing, dance, or rap, so I might just be in the back doing nothing.”

“No… you’ll definitely be our visual,” he said with a satisfied nod. “It only makes sense.”

Your eyes rolled playfully as a ‘tsk’ sound left your tongue. “You’re joking.”

“I’m serious,” he fought back with a grin. “Your face is nice to look at.”

The fireworks show happened not too long after. It was as if timing couldn’t have done any better, because they did an amazing job in masking the way your heart pounded. You let out a deep sigh when Jaebeom’s attention fell onto the colorful patterns lighting the night sky. So, you decided to sit back and watch quietly too.

You didn’t know how, but the two of you have gotten closer throughout the show. Up to the point where your shoulders softly met, but neither of you decided to say a word or pull back. Instead, you enjoyed each other’s comfort as the fireworks were displayed above the tower, even if it was for a little while.

Youngjae and Jinyoung were the first to arrive at the bus. You and Jaebeom spotted their heads leaning against the window, which had you two laughing. Jaebeom tried to wave right in front of them for their attention, but they were far too out of it to even notice. Which was understandable, considering the fact that they did have a long day today.

BamBam, Yugyeom, Jackson and Mark arrived not too long after. They were all happily walking towards you two, all carrying bags with souvenirs, mouths yapping on and on about what they did. You also wanted to make sure all seven of the members were in the bus before going inside yourself, so you patiently waited on the side of the door.

“Man, that ride was…” BamBam began as he made his way into the entrance of the vehicle, “EASYYYYY!” he was joined at the last word by Yugyeom after. You laughed, louder than intended, and they all joined in with you.

“Was it better than the roller coaster we went on?” Jaebeom asked as he stood right across from you, the members all hopping in between your bodies.

“The outdoor one was better, it had more surprises,” Jackson was the one to answer, as he was the last (aside from Jaebeom) to hop on. He briefly looked at you with a friendly smile, giving your shoulder a small pat before entering. Jaebeom then soon followed. “What about you? How was it when Mark left?”

“It was nice,” he took a moment to glance back at you, then looking back ahead to sit with the rest of the members. “It felt like a date.”

WHEN YOU NOTICE THE PLOTTING IS RATHER ONE-SIDED, WHAT DO YOU DO?: I’m not very good with coming up with plots myself, so I’m typically the weak link when it comes to that. Sorry! But you bet I’ll pull up a plot generator and start throwing things down to see what sticks haha.

HOW DO YOU USUALLY PLOT WITH OTHERS, DO YOU GIVE INPUT OR LEAVE MOST WORK TOWARDS YOUR PARTNER?: I’m all about equal opportunity, so I try not to leave the plotting work to my partner. Let’s negotiate and find something that makes both of us happy. That’s the point after all.

WHEN A PARTNER DROPS THE THREAD, DO YOU WISH TO KNOW?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - AND WHY?: If you want to drop a thread, I’m completely fine with it. I want to know so that I don’t end up replying to something you have no interest in anymore. Saves both of us the time.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY LEAD YOU TO DROP A THREAD?: If drafts eat it (as they are wont to do these days) or if I feel it has reached a natural conclusion. I rarely, if ever, drop a thread in the middle. I’ll just let you know I’m going to finish it on my side and allow you a chance to finish on yours if you’d like.

WILL YOU TELL YOUR PARTNER?: YES / NO / DEPENDS.

IS COMMUNICATION IN THE RPC IMPORTANT TO YOU? YES / NO. - AND WHY?: You don’t need to chat with me every minute of every day, but I like knowing the people I’m writing with. Discerning your personality and your approach to your muse gives me a much stronger understanding of how to write with you, and what vibes between us. Plus, it’s easier to remember different people’s boundaries if I talk with them a lot, too.

ARE YOU OKAY WITH ABSOLUTE HONESTY, EVEN IF IT MAY MEANS HEARING SOMETHING NEGATIVE ABOUT YOU AND/OR PORTRAYAL?: I am all for constructive criticism. Even if you think it’s nitpicky, it’s going to be a great help. Good crit allows us grow as writers and as people in general. However, I am not for baseless accusations, childish name-calling, or outright insults under the name of “constructive crit”. Remember the “constructive” part: we need to build each other up.

DO YOU THINK YOU CAN HANDLE SUCH SITUATION IN A MATURE WAY? YES / NO.

WHY DO YOU RP AGAIN, IS THERE A GOAL?: I love a good story. While I don’t agree with everything Cullen does (and no one should, for anyone real or imagined), his story is intriguing. He’s a deeply flawed, deeply broken man. I love to take on a character, toss them in every situation I can think of, and watch them evolve and grow.

WISHLIST, BE IT PLOTS OR SCENARIOS: A real redemption arc, for one. A realistic struggle with substance abuse and recovery. A future of happiness.

THEMES I WON’T EVER RP / EXPLORE: Rape or sexual assault, unless being spoken about as a past event (as I truly believe that Cullen was sexually assaulted at Kinloch along with the other psychological and physical torture he endured). In-game racism is baked in, unfortunately, but it’s not something I seek out to roleplay as a PoC myself. Finally, while I play Cullen as canon-straight, I will not play out homophobia and most definitely not transphobia. If he rejects your muse for hitting on him, it’s not because he’s being homophobic: he’s just not interested. That also doesn’t mean he’ll never be interested; people can and do change, and I ship chemistry overall. He doesn’t hate your muse for their gender, orientation, or sexual preferences. I feel like I really have to spell this out for people who don’t understand. If you feel personally insulted by this somehow, feel free to address me directly, off anon. It’s probably an issue of fuzzy wording that I’m 500% willing to fix and talk about.

WHAT TYPE OF STARTERS DO YOU PREFER / DISLIKE, CAN’T WORK WITH?: I love starters that set the scene and provide plenty to work with, be it in terms of interacting with the environment or with the other person. If your muse shows immediate disinterest in communicating (and I don’t mean argumentative, which is perfectly fine), I am not going to respond. I might politely ask for more if I feel like it’s a salvageable interaction.

WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE MOST?: Stoic soldier types, bubbly short girls, and semi-mad scientists.

WHAT TYPE OF CHARACTERS CATCH YOUR INTEREST THE LEAST?: Characters that come across as Mary-Sue / Gary-Stu types. No flaws and barely any room to grow.

WHAT ARE YOUR STRONG ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: I'm very easy-going and I have an unearthly level of tolerance for almost everything. I try to provide partners with as much to work with as possible IC, and will pretty much support your very existence OOC. I believe in open communication so you’ll know what’s going on with me and/or our threads. Also, I typically reply within a week or two. Currently I’m tethered to finishing a big paper so I’m not a good example of that right now.

WHAT ARE YOUR WEAK ASPECTS AS RP PARTNER?: I can get overwhelmed by too much which slows my pace down considerably. I’m also a bit distant and do shut down on occasion; that’s usually no fault of my partners, though. Just my brain being a dick.

DO YOU RP SMUT?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. (the closer we are OOC, the easier getting here will be)

DO YOU PREFER TO GO INTO DETAIL?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. (it’s not going to be XXX but it will be descriptive)

ARE YOU OKAY WITH BLACK CURTAIN, FADE TO BLACK?: YES / NO.

WHEN DO YOU RP SMUT? MORE OUT OF FUN OR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT?: I prefer to write smut for character development and to mark a progression in a relationship. Plus Cullen is not a “one and done” guy so getting to the smut stage will take a bit of build-up.

ANYTHING YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO RP THERE?: Hmmm things that he personally wouldn’t go for I guess? Honestly I don’t know. And obviously, no rape/animal abuse/predator nonsense.

ARE SHIPS IMPORTANT TO YOU?: YES / NO Ships are a great way to further explore a character and their motivations. People do not exist in pure isolation, so I don’t believe characters should, either.

WOULD YOU SAY YOUR BLOG IS SHIP-FOCUSED?: YES / NO. I bolded both because the focus of the blog isn’t ships, but this thirst trap guy is really easy to ship with other people I tell ya hwat. I am severely picky with romantic ships for Reasons, but I don’t eschew any other types of ships. I encourage them!

DO YOU USE READ MORE?: YES / NO / SOMETIMES WHEN I WRITE LONG STUFF.

ARE YOU: MULTI-SHIP / SINGLE-SHIP / DUAL-SHIP — MULTIVERSE / SINGLEVERSE.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE TO EXPLORE THE MOST IN YOUR SHIPS?: Characters who challenge Cullen into revising his point of view and force him to be a better person. Also, characters who understand his past and they are in no ways obligated to forgive it, but do recognise that he’s struggling very hard to mend whatever mistakes he can and is willing to pay the price for his decisions.

ARE YOU OKAY WITH PRE-ESTABLISHED RELATIONSHIPS?: YES / NO / DEPENDS. - Be a good salesperson and I might buy it.

- WHAT COULD POSSIBLY MAKE YOUR MUSE INTERESTING TOWARDS OTHERS, WHY SHOULD THEY RP WITH THIS PARTICULAR CHARACTER OF YOURS NOW, WHAT POSSIBLE PLOTS DO THEY OFFER?: Cullen is a massive stick in the mud, which means it’s incredibly easy to taunt him and get him flustered all at the same time. He’s loyal, he’s intelligent, and he’s largely self-aware. He likes swords and using them. Anything your character hates about him, he most likely hates about himself 100 times more.

WITH WHAT TYPE OF MUSES DO YOU USUALLY STRUGGLE TO RP WITH?: Those from the start that show absolutely no interest in speaking with/interacting with him. Mun and muse are going to struggle to stick around. I’m not going to fight for attention and neither is he.

WHAT DO THEY DESIRE, WHAT IS THEIR GOAL?: Redemption. He wants to be a better person and make up for the past as much as he can.

WHAT CATCHES THEIR INTEREST FIRST WHEN MEETING SOMEONE NEW?: He can sniff out a fellow Templar a mile away (or several miles, in the case of Samson).

WHAT DO THEY VALUE IN A PERSON?: Honesty, a strong will, devotion (not necessarily to the Maker or the Chantry, but to a just cause that focuses on protecting others).

WHAT THEMES DO THEY LIKE TALKING ABOUT?: War stuff, chess, books, trebuchets, dogs.

WHICH THEMES BORE THEM?: Lectures about anything. He did his time in Azkaban in the Circles. No more. Please no more.

DID THEY EVER WENT THROUGH SOMETHING TRAUMATIC?: His parents died trying to escape the Blight, he was tortured for weeks/months on end by blood mages, almost all of his friends died because of it, he was manipulated and brainwashed by his superior, he was forced into a near-debilitating substance addiction by his workplace... yeah just a few things.

WHAT COULD LEAD TO AN INSTANT KILL?: Darkspawn and abominations.

IS THERE SOMEONE /-THING THEY HATE?: Darkspawn and abominations. Blood mages on principle. Regular mages (but he’s working hard to remedy this extremely bad and prejudiced thinking). Himself.

IS YOUR MUSE EASY TO APPROACH?: YES / NO. - BEST WAY TO APPROACH THEM?: Just be polite and he won’t turn you away. He’s guarded, yes, but not impossible to talk to.

//Okay, here’s how shit’s going down

I have about 27 things in drafts. These are the oldest of all the things I owe, from I think way back in June? Anyway, I plan on focusing on those drafts first, setting them up on a scheduled queue. I will also focus on the memes/asks I have gotten in the last few days. Those will be queued as well.

When I am finished with the older stuff, then I will hop into newer replies/things. The queue will be distributed at only 3 a day until I feel I am caught up and in order to ensure I’ve taken out a good chunk before things start trickling back to me, the queue begins on Saturday August 8.

If you have questions, want to start an RP, or anything you can find me in IM or in Discord.

August is for getting all the shit done I can in RP because September will be hiatus time again to work on more book stuff.

tl;dr - basically, I’m doing older shit first, queuing it at 3 a day starting next week and will be busting ass to do as much RP shit this month as I can before I start another hiatus. Peace!

Things that should be considered for your own Lab Safety !

fun new meme here ! write 3-5 things a new rp partner (or those who want to be) should know about you and tag 3-5 people! it should be related to rp and not to other interests. (also don’t write you are a dork/gremlin/etc. this is tumblr, of course you are)

I think it is only fair to start off with the most prominent feature on my blog... and that would be my super long, essay like replies. You can fully expect to be bombarded with a wall of text the moment my hype for our thread escalates even the slightest. I absolutely love fleshing out the characters thoughts, actions and certainly the environment/scenery/context. I never expect anyone to match length, because quality over quantity always. But at the same time, I know my own weaknesses, and short concise replies are simply one of them. The more in depth I can go, the more development than can happen regarding the characters themselves and the plot, the more engaged I feel.

I am not my muse. Nor will I ever condone their actions or beliefs. Orochimaru is by nature, one of the more morally grey characters to ever enter the fandom. So if that isn’t your cup of tea, best to turn away, and take your white horse elsewhere. I will not be compromising their nature, in any shape or form. They can be condescending, they can be cut throat, and they can say outlandishly cynical facts without considering others. They can be volatile and they can toy with people for personal gain or amusement. But that does not mean I condone them. And the fact that I will keep them in character with being dark does not mean I am excusing their behaviour. Orochimaru will always have their reasons, they will always excuse or justify their actions, that is called being human. In this case, it is also called giving a character proper development. Simply because I voice Oro’s point of view in a thread, does not mean I am ‘okay’ with their overall decisions.

That said however... I also won’t be reducing Orochimaru to a cartoon villain for anyone else to give their muse a sob story :’) sorry, not going to fly on this blog. Orochimaru has done some majorly heinous crimes, but I won’t be agreeing to the odd belief that they abused close followers. What happened in canon is accepted as canon, but making things up for the sake of Sound nin to have a sadder backstory isn’t going to be accepted as my canon here. Nor will I accept the idea that Oro’s underlings actions are Oro’s own. They will carry the crimes they committed, not the crimes Kabuto or any other ninja committed. I get far too many Sound nin muses plodding along and insisting certain abuses were ‘canon’. There has been little to no evidence of this in the show or manga, and most of it is a great stretch at best. Orochimaru is cruel yes, but they are not unnecessary with their actions. They believe the ends justify the means, which implies their transgressions arise from a goal.

I have no self control when it comes to writing and plotting new ideas. We could have 20 threads and I would still be inclined to pick up another the moment a new exciting idea surfaces. It is why I rely heavily on my queue (the hoarding method if you will), to keep on top of things as best I can. This has been your friendly notice that I will accept as many asks and threads from my partners as we both please, so don’t ever hesitate to drop ideas in to my IM’s or asks. I love fleshing out our characters in new situations, and I adore working with various plots/settings and developing further history and context for our muses adventures.

I will keep this one short and sweet, but it is probably the most important. I live in a land where internet comes to die. My signal is constantly giving me unexplained grief, and after 2 years of repairmen coming to our house and uprooting everything, there is simply no real hope for changing that. If I disappear, it is likely because of that. And with everything being so spotty and cutting midway, things do get lost on my behalf. So feel free to poke me if I seem to be delayed in anything. Odds are you’ll be helping me when bad internet and incompetent tumblr notifications collide.
