rescue team ocs! info about them below
Mischief (they/it/he) used to be a human but he forgor and theyre a little guy now. it was found by Rattle (he/him) and Mischief lovingly calls him bozo and views him as a younger brother of sorts. Rattle brought up the idea of making a rescue team to Mischief and they thought "oh hell yeah were gonna get so rich" and immediately agreed. Rattle can be kind of naive and stubborn but hes a sweetheart thatll do anything to protect others (the scars and cracks on his skull are proof of this!!!!)
BATTERY-ACID (it/its) is just some badly modified magnemite that inserts itself into the team after being rescued (everyone grows to love it though, even if BATTERY-ACID glitches and says weird stuff sometimes)

Yaaaayyyyyyyy vettonso wip!!:
THEY WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!!
I barely ever use my physical sketchbook, but now there is literally 12 pages just of trying to figure these guys out....
But hey happy to say I can actually draw Seb's face from memory!! I like it better when I can draw from memory than having to stare at ref pics. Nothing wrong with using ref, I use it all the time, but it causes me to think about it way too much. Fernando I've really only drawn one other time so I kinda just copied off my last one as a placeholder 😭 so I should probably just stare at pictures of him for a while, like I did with Seb, until his face is eventually burned into brain
This is like, first joint portrait into the arranged marriage type vibe sjfkfl

i think finally admitting to myself that i genuinely did not have fun with the process of how i usually draw anymore did something to my brain that made it easier to let go and actually put ideas to paper
no longer forcing myself to render in a way that 'the industry' likes because i've accepted that it's just not the direction i want to keep aiming for anymore has been a help too. it's a hard, painful thing to admit since i've always told myself that i wanted to become a concept artist and work in a studio...
but then with how the industry is today with the constant instability and lay-offs, i saw someone say:
'i used to have a dream studio that i wanted to work with. now i'd be lucky if i manage to keep my job for more than two years'
there was something about being faced with the fact that i myself no longer have a dream studio to work with that made me stop and think about what i've been doing and how i feel about the process of making art. any kind of art.
because chasing after highschool me's dreams no longer felt like something worth doing. and it's depressing and bleak to think like that, but simultaneously very freeing. now i feel even more like i can do what i want and stray from the direction i've constantly forced myself to follow for years and years now
this is fun again.

i wish the ppl posting CSP brushes in the assets store would give more demonstration of how the brush actually works in practice rather than here is what a stroke looks like on a white background and here is a fully rendered and finished piece that i used this brush in somewhere
like....how did you use it to accomplish what you did? whats the point of giving us a tool with no instructions on using it? am i just needy???? are we just supposed to pick up on it? are we just supposed to futz around with it and hopefully produce something we like despite probably never figuring out how to use it as the original creator intended??? is that how art is?
